People don't mean strength when they call his rework awful. Sure he is strong, the problem is he is dash slop now, and that's just lazy and bad design.
Problem is what is good killer in these days, he has to have mobility and good power made from many smaller ones like springtrap to be even mediocre and easiest and most effective way for killer to work and wont be rejected by community as skullmerchant is dash power ( thats respected even if the killer is op like blight).

DMS should just be reworked. Perk is fundamentally unhealthy and impossible to balance.
Pain Res is fine though.
I wouldnt call DMS impossible to deal with, sure with pain res its annoying to deal with but not impossible you can be hit and surprised by it first time but them you can wait for killer to hook and then dont let go of the gen so DMS wont proc. The perk was nerfed through years first was like 40 seconds or so and it could hit multiple gens with its proc time, then it was nerfed to like 30 seconds of blocking and lately lost ability to block multiple gens in the 30 seconds time after the hook, then the 50 seconds time was there which brought it more into play and now its 35 so its not as strong and broken as it was.
Still strong perk that does its work well but can be palyed around if nothing kicks you from gen like being hit, screaming or any regression like jolt or pain res, killer chasing you off then if you wont let go of the gen the DMS has no chance to bother you, hard to balnce I would say that issue have way more perks due to many other perks in this game and 40 killers with different powers.

u say the perks require downs, but fact of the matter is that only really terrible killer players dont get quick downs these days in the current patch.
I wouldnt say that all depends on how survivor is good at looping and what killer is played, not every killer will murder you straight like ghoul or blight and current loops are kinda back as they were before all that pallet decity changes (both, the one tha gave more pallets to many strong maps and the last that reduced pallets and made loops super short) so its not guarantee to get downs in same time with m1 killer like legion or trapper when survivors know what they are doing and gens are progressing.
Pain res isnt just about downs, saves with pallet or flashlight hurt it to then hooks can spawn, (scorge hooks, I remembered that name) spure bad so you get just one use from in the match etc. so it all depends DBD is one hell of rng like mixing cards you can get bad ones or few jokers and be king so it depends on many factors but downs are mostly dependent on (by my humble opinion) both survivors and killers experience in looping and the type of killer who is played (ofcourse ghoul or dracula have way more chances and especialy tools to get that down than other not that strong killers like wraith or ghostface, bubba), even place where the chase takes part is to huge deal breaker like the main is mostly strong with shack or some solid part of map that is full of chained strong loops is way better for longer chase than some weak corner where killer can easily hold you and cut you off.
Last thing is DBD match making isnt always the nicest thing and you get like half the time two extremes like one is high tier killer with meta against average pub survs which are mostly soloq and other is mostly swf or wery experienced and coordinated team with full meta against some weaker tier killer who has chill build (both are slaughter in each way), Idk ybout you but Im getting these matches like half the time so i dont think these ovekills in match making are rare to others but it makes difference to in the end.

its not looking good for dbd tbh…losing 2 key licences in 1 year, hellraiser and halloween.
The game gets worse every year, repeated failed ptb, QoL updates postponed or failed, 2 iconic licences that helped put the game on the map are gone, cheaters worse than ever, 2 of the most hated killers get released (ghoul and krasue). Not looking good at all based on the past year.
Tbh is even krasue that hated when no one plays her and I met her like only 3 to 5 times since her release and more mayers than even, even more of them than in 2017 which is funny kinda.

u assume everyone playing the same and the low tier killers which is false, the perk itself is not really healthy for this current meta, while i agree that tunneling with this perk isnt very smart move which can cost u the game(unless u run deadlock with it to stall the game and have enough room to pop the pain res once the gen unblocks), but overall perk is busted with dms/grim build, defending this perk is funny, yea good stacked 4men can handle it, but majority of players cant, and then u have bad killer players abusing this type of meta and gets undeserved wins against people much better than they are.
The pain res is good on every killer that has no monility and his power isnt super easy for fast downs downs (even killers like pyramidhead or bubba can have fast downs but that isnt alwas the thing so its more good for them to run it compare to pop and other regression perks). I dont realy understand how a perk that is forcing killer to spread hooks even if its just first hooks isnt healty when tunneling (hardcore one) is problematic viewd both from communita nad devs. You mentioned and even admited its not tunneling friendly perk, which is both correct that perk is build around spreading 4 fresh hooks and hook rng so tunneling only works if its fast and survviors dont answer it with great gen preasure.
The meta you mean isnt that crazy because pain res with grim and dms need hooks so if killer has problem to get downs and then hooks then these perks wont save him magicaly like some people claim, dead lock doesnt work good with pain res due to few things either the pain res hits gen before dead lock but then when gen is blocked it can be regressed or its regressed right after block ends with pain res but nothing crazy because best use of pain res is hit the gen with most progressed with it and dms and or hit that gen when no one is repearing it meaning it will regress further and the value will be huge or regress that most progressed gen before survivors get it done and be there with good mobility.
This perk is good for its no need mobility for its aplication (meaning it hits the most progressed gen anywhere on the map) plus its synergy with dms, grim embrace perks. The biggest thing people forget that this per is just huge rng risk if your 4 hooks are in bad spot or area where you wont even get down the whole match then its dead perk slot and long chases kinda counter it to the worst it can be done with this perk is when it hits above 60% of progressed gen or almost done gen or its with dms and only one survivor knows about that gen and is chased away in soloq match (no info about the gen location for others to go there and finish it or save its progress), killer can missplay it when he hooks someone and only few gens have small progress than this perk waste its tokens.
Its strong perk I dont denny it but lets not show pikachu face and scream why is everyone running it (its kinda obvius why its woth running, it has not much competition in regression perks class), the issues like this perk is great for hardcore tunnelers or its 100% effective are out of place its just strong perk with lot of rng into it and no competition in its class from other perks plus huge synergy with rest meta perks.

Well, optimal build should always have one, or two slowdown perks and it's not like we have many options for it. Last decent slowdown we got is pain res and that's a long time ago.
Pretty much pain res has good regression plus synergy with dms and grim while being super good for none or low mobility killers (you get more from pain res on killers like huntress, chucky, trapper or bubba on average than you would get from pop), then pop is good but requires some mobility to get to the gens that are worth poping bevause it hurts the higly progressed ones the most, eruption isnt bad but its only worth with some synergy perk because its nowhere near that good as it was in my opinion (when survivor is repearing and is hit by it its what 10 seconds of time to get that progress back for your time investment), gen kick perks arent that good alone like cob was buffed but its like manual ruin now, overcharge is just good agaist survivors that are having problem with skillchecks other than that its not good alone, oppression is great in terms of synergy because its just manual tuin in terms of global gen regression it hits like 3 others on the map with skillchecks that offer another 10% of regression, ruin is now usable but still totem spawns are trash and many times its on totem that is impossible to miss or survivors pawn on it or very close and that perk wont be on even one minute, thats like all from regression perks maybe the sadakos one where it spawns skillchecks on gens 90% and if surv missis them than locks gen for 20 seconds but thats good on like only doctor or with some hard skillcheck build an then there is jolt that is good for m1 killers but its mostly msp dependent as hell you can hit with it like on saw map 4 gens or one on open map but good for m1.

Exactly why does Ghoul have it if it was considered to strong on Chucky that it got removed? Ghoul has a 10x stronger version of Chucky scamper and they ain't doing nothing about it or even considering removing it. Remove it Ghoul doesn't need it.
I dont think his vault is stronger (when enraged) than original chucky with his manual scamper because chucky could vault under and had his dash which had way bigger turn rate than now so his hit was more guarantee, now problem I see on ghouls vault is a thing that he slows survivor down even he shouldnt he should just vault over.

Most people hated Lights out because you could have been forgotten on hook. Or worse slugged and no one was coming for you.
Tbh that mode favored killer way more but what was nice was the fact that most of strongest killers were bad to play as there like blight, nurse and now I would say even ghoul then killers with tracking were great like dracula as wolf, legion, doctor and stealth to like ghostface or wraith but fact is that mode was uniqe and I would like to experience it again.
There were other mods like 2v8 or chaos shuffle that are popular but even more limitedlike my little oni or what it was called where survivors vere small and killer was titan size oni, then there are events but most of them doesnt change the core of gameplay from 1v4 with gens or mostly doesnt bring anything new thats huge. For me last was blood moon 2025 and that event with blood gens was heaven for survivors and true hell for pig plus it broke all hooks leaving them angled till these days.

I dont want to its 100% a thing but you could get ddos from some cheater, back like year or two it was very common thing and it happened to me when I was winning as killer or survivors would like to have more fun with bully squad but I was coontering their tryes for saves so they ddosed me (I got kicked for no reason and from hud it said I dc but that couldnt be my problem and as to you it happened to me constantly someties even three times per eveningnor two), so you could got ddosed to because cheaters can do almost everything in DBD and gor this I believe you dont even need to have buyed cheats.

bouncing between rhem is what they consider tunneling actually. it was the 3rd thing they consider tunneling it's just they omitted it since if you say it out loud it sounds dumb and people will hate you(the devs) for not understanding something so basic and tend to swing heavily on favor of survivor
also tru3 has been doing this as far back as earlier this year when knock out qas meta (which the dwvs still haven't addressed the problem of hooking survivors makes them stronger ans is why they keep trying base unbreakable)
Doesnt surprise me that devs doesnt understand their game after many years but spreading hooks between two survivors isnt tunneling in my opinion (only if you hooked someone twice in the row but that all depends on circumstances like if he bodyblocked, on what gens were left or you chased someone and you spot him injured in corner of the map etc.).
-
@terumisan said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4037844#Comment_4037844
well the reason why it was 6 hooks specifically is because they were going after tru3 and people who play like him who will bounce between 2 survivors for pressure
That doesnt doesnt make much sence because the whole idea of these changes meant it should make tunneling harder and reward killer for spreading hooks plus punish him for some tunneling (hardcore one especialy) and here we get into problem devs didnt have clear what they define as tunneling because just bouncing between two survivors isnt tunneling, its kinda good strategy but if you doesnt hook someone twice in the row you cant even call it tunneling (hooking someone twice in the row isnt the tunneling problem many people hate because this can happen in many situations like unhoooked survvior running into killer or killer is patroling gens on map and finds him first or he sees him healing in the corner etc., the patch should make hardcore tunneling be less common and thats going after one survivor hooking him three times in the row not two if its not on the 5 or 4 gens then I would get it that with 4 hooks and one kill on that many gens its kinda bad for survivors and then the hook limit made sence but it should be determind not only for hooks but by done gens as well because getting punished for getting one kill on 4 hooks when two gens or one are left from gates being power isnt good idea in genral). So in short it wasnt that bad the first try (with unique hooks and antitunnel, untislug was there bit overdone too but that wasnt the key topic of this update) they just needed to tune some things down and those punishments needed to be fixed not only to killers hooks but to done/remenaing gens too because nerfing killer that had bad start or plays weaker killer for getting kill on 4 hooks (which is common against good survivor teams with weaker killers) when gens are almost done is just super bad desing.
The bouncing between two survivors instead of tunneling one out straight i call it new meta too on some of my posts and i believe tru did to (its logical now best way is like in turnament just go and kill someone asap which is best to tunnel him but if this is nerfed then making targets two but sill limiting your objective and saving time is choice to go so it becomes two instead of one). Other huge problem was devs arent against tunneling as sluging and proxycamping because killers objective is to kill survviors and these strategies have their use in certain situations but they couldnt just found whats the type of tunneling they want to stop (from their stream they just named two ways and said it has even more so by that it looked like they want to get rid of tunneling compleatly like facecamping that is only possible in endgame where killer has nothing to patrol then hooked survivor, but then they said they respect tunneling as strategy that will stay so Im kinda lost here).

the real problem with pain res is that if it hits a gen is not always 20%, it can go from 20% al the way to 99%, i will give u a scenario, 1 guy is on the hook, 1 guy is going to save, 1 guy is doing a gen, and 1 guy getting chased, the person that went for a gen already left a gen of lets say 50%, now he sees that the killer is proxy camping, so there is going to either be a trade of hooks or the other guy from the gen will have to come and help, in this scenario i will say the killer also have dead lock, so by the time he trade the hook u have 2 gens with high progress and his own gen which was on 50%, now 1 gen getting completed before the person got unhook, and the other gen is getting blocked, and now the third gen get hit with pain res, that gen which was 50% is going down real fast, not just 20%, it can go all the way to 0, now repeat this 4 times, and u can add dms and grim to this build and u can see a game where its absolutely stalling game and boring to play, making it ultra easy to proc, it could be either u get early pain res and gens are blocked then the killer loop around those gens so they regress even more, and some killers will also bring surge to add more salt to the flavor, now obviously if the killers tunnel with pain res it can backfire hard, a really strong 4men team can deal with it, is not easy tho, but the fact is that very bad killer players can abuse this builds and stomp soloq/ even good players is pretty bad. if gens werent keeping to regress after being hit by pain res then the perk would be fine.
If pain res hits gen and survivor is on it (without dms) then I think killer gets only like 22 or 24 seconds of time on that gen, thats worst scenario no mobility killer who hits the furthest gen away from him with pain res because mostly before he makes it there that pain res regression is gone and undone so best way is to hit gen you heading for or have dms or hit gen that is left (pain res is rng it hits the gen with most progress), as perk its weaker than pop due to its limit by having just 4 regressions but what makes it stronger and more used than pop is two key things, first it has regression across the map because with pop or other kicking regression perks killer must go to that gen and kick it manualy which takes two things good mobility (like freddy, blight, dracula, dreadge, billy, etc.) or lot of time walking there as m1 killer or some 110 like slinger, huntress so thats why on majority of killers pain res is stronger, second thing is it has great synergy with other meta perks like dms, grim embrace which are super strong and rewarding gen blocking perks, other minor fact is weaker killers with no mobility doesnt get that many downs fast so pop isnt good because they lack mobility to use it after the hook but pain res just hits anywhere and has great synergy with gen blocking perks I mentioned before so its actualy better and more favored.
Idk what some people doesnt get about pain res is that this perk is realy bad for pure tunneling gameplay because you only have 4 shots, strong ones but only 4 and missing two can be very easily deciding the outcome of the game so this perk isnt great for tunneling killers just like grim or old barbecue and chilli with tokes or now the krasue token exposed perk these perks just are desinged for tunneling killers (they can be used by tunneling killer but the best from them killer gets the more fresh hooks he gets and thats something that doesnt allow hardcore tunneling because someone with pain res and dms who is just trying delete one survivor on 5 gens can get super burned by this if he isnt fast enough and other survivors do gens because his perk will help him less than perks like dead lock and ruin or currupt, noway out, noed tec.). Other bad thing on pain res is that it hits the gen with most progress and when that gen has few % than its just wasted, so pain res isnt god tier perk that rewards every killer not to mention its highly hook rng because your white hooks (forget their names) can spawn in super bad locations where you never down survivor near thus making pain res kinda worthless in that game unlike pop that is guarantee after every hook but requires more mobility and lethality in chse from the killer (meaning great treveling to gens across the map plus having tools for fast chases so logicaly ghoul will be far better user than dreadge who has stronger mobility but his antiloop is way weaker which can hinder his pop usages comapre to pain res but it all depends kinda on the killer and rng).

@jesterkind said:
Pain Res in particular really is an annoying perk to play against, it must be said.
There's a part of me that wants it to go back to activating on every hook with a lower percentage just so I don't have to watch a nearly finished gen get reset so far, haha.
No you dont want that because top tier killers would bombard you with it and dms like before which was why it got nerfed in first place not because trapper could use it more times but because blight and nurse could compleatly lock survivors progress with fast down which isnt anything these killers struggle with, thats why it got token based.

people would still say it's unfair for killers its not a wording problem it's people understanding what effects it will have on the game
These limits were poorly set and kinda only viable on like half of the killers (the stronger one not the bottom one) which made it kida bad in term of just play hardcore game because you choose that killer or switch to better one which isnt good desing tbh.

I have seen that bonus like one day but then its never on killer and funniest thing is survviors queue times should be super fast (because bp bonus multiplier was created to reward the less played side not vice versa) but it seems its all time on survivor even the fact killers are more wanted lately by my queue times where I even had one time lobby in less than one minute and I remember like almost year ago I even had lobby as killer few seconds after I pressed find game which was kinda strange but not that bad.

Difference is monitor was like mid perk only worth running on few killers and medkit addons (syrange, styptic) were meta addon for survivor, probably strongest addons for survivor role. Hey can you use more words, I have a reverse problem most internet commentors have where things are harder for me to understand if it isn't in an essay post. All I'm hearing is just use oblivious and the rest kinda makes it sound like you're responding to a different comment.
All I wanted to say was that there isnt point running perks that decrease tr of killers that have above 32 meters tr like monitor and abuse but more better option are perks and addons that give these killers oblivious status effect ( no tr and red stain plus immune to aura reveal perks), most of 40 meters tr killer have good mobility (exept wesker who can cover just 21 meters but in short time, chucky has more mobility than him if we dont count he can teset his whole dash with each scamper) so its more better and mind gaming to just loose that big tr than just decrease it to normal tr because survivors without los or spiderman sence have no expectations killer is coming to them (atleast from the start before they see it multiple gimes per that particular match and be more aware of their surroundings).

Honestly my attitude has always been that if I wanna be stealthy I should make tr BIGGER on high tr killers so nobody even knows if I'm actually that close because scaling of tr volume gets thrown off by the fact I cover the whole map. I know more experience players probably already know but I like the fantasy regardless.
Then you use oblivious perk and you get best stealth from big tr killer instead making it normal tr which just doesnt give you almost any benefit at all.

Empathy is great for healing others or knowing killers position when someone injured is in chase, kinda slept on perk.
-
I know its out of topic but for soloq I prefer teammates with solid game sence (meaning players that know when its good time for doing gen or go for save etc.).
For majority I think kindread is better because it covers survivors coordination with saving and doing gens which is huge problem with uncoordinated soloq, bond is more good for saves or groping gens or for finding someone for heal but kindread covers this to and more globaly.
-
I had to slug and tunnel someone lot this event because I went against many sabbo squads that were deffinitely swf by their coordination and fast resets in short time or very timed bodyblocks and with many killers that arent meta like billy, ghoul, blight you cant do much so when I got them as trapper the goal was clear when I found out what they are up to (denying me hooks, keep saving each other and tbaging me constantly so bully squad detected), I sluged and when it was safe I focused on getting two particular survivors out as fast as I could so the last few are super vulnerable to sluging and cant bodyblock that much because m1 hits hurt.
I have seen to many sabbo squads this event its crazy but I won against everyone, you cant go easy on them because only strongest killers can but still get slowed super hard so best way is play dirty and still you will have hard times but you will slowly beat them but its annoying experience.

One thing you'll find, and it's been like this since day one in 2016, is that anything survivors do that killers don't find fun is perfectly fine and okay because "they're just trying to survive".
If the killer tries to win and survivors don't like it, we need base kit handholds to make that more difficult. People who disagree are biased and don't have a real opinion because they don't know the history of the game.
Pretty much from antifacecamp, antitunnel and now antislug in some way is deffinitely on its way, unhook protection. Killers got only global buff in patch 6.1.0 where their all cooldowns like from breaking, weapon cleaning and vaulting got little shorter like 10-20% (weapon cooldown after m1 was 3 seconds and nowdays its 2.7 seconds) and pallet situation it was for both sides so I doesnt count it (first it was bad for killers and then nerfed for survivors so this change is kinda even because it went for both sides and all were bad).
I havent seen any idea like basekit dead lock when gens pop too fast after each other or some things like that so yeah pretty accurate.

Every couple of seconds (I'm unsure how long would be best, let's say 30 meaning it teleports twice before second stage) the cage will automatically relocate, and the range on the relocation is much larger for when the killer is near
As person who use cages for redirecting players and the only way for map pressure on this killer I heavily dislike this idea. We have RNG in this game. I would like to have some reward for understanding cages logic
Is there even some logic for cage spawn I thought it spawns as far from the killer as it can and doesnt count survivors unlike pinheads box.

Some of what you say is true, the thing with Wraith is, when it comes to high level play, its a lot about predicting, strategy and outmaneuvering survivors, if they aren't giving free hits or pallet drops, than you can on some loops uncloak one side and fully swing around to the other. Ppl really underestimate just how fast and how far his uncloak lunge can get you. I don't even need bam with him anymore cause I know how to bodyblock or run people down with my uncloak lunge. Good survivors will try and outplay you so what you need to do is outthink them, which is what I like about Wraith cause I have a strategic mindset when it comes to DBD and Wraith lets me really flex it.
Truth is he is fast for 1 second even after nerf (it was 1,25 seconds 2-3 years back) but thats only gives you hit if survivor doesnt sees you and you uncloak till bells starts to hit then its impossible to evade even with sprintburst wraith will get it or bodyblocking them because if survivor runs from wraith that is uncloaking he wont get that hit just gets close and has to chase for like another 4 seconds to get the lunge range (kinda depends on what loopable objects are there because they can make wraith trajectory longer due to hitbox difference of character models in combination with hugging the loop). Wraith is easy killer he doesnt have any strong techs thatare hard like wesker or other killers and his power is easy to understand and play with and against so when he is put against survivors that know how to loop then all he is about is mindgaming and perfect plays because he doesnt have anything to get guarantee (maybe surprise hits on indoor maps but that have other stealth killers too), with pallets some drop them and can vault them if they are quick enough and have good ping this will slow wraith fro few soconds or force him to uncloak (difference in ping like 24ms to 60ms is so huge meaning doesnt matter how fast will killer press space survivor will get it first every time if they press both fast because his action takes priority and only killer effected by this is wraith and legion little) or dont drop and run through which can sometimes even counter the ful uncloak if survivor does it early. On loops wraith can only outplay with his short burst of speed the unsafe ones and the unsafe ones with tall walls that block los on the killer to mid safe because you can pull some mind games here but the safer ones or the safer sides on weaker loops the longer ones survivors will be safe there against his burst almost alway if they doesnt missplay due to los on the killer and the character model thing which has every killer except chucky.

Still, it is a stupid nerf to a fine perk.
They just dont want killers that have naturaly small terror radius to have it smaller with this perk compare to killers that have big terror radius but in its true form its stupid change because that perk was worth running on killers that already have good synergy with it due to them having smaller terror radius like 24 to 16 meters and for killers with big terror radius like wesker or billy, blight, ghoul way better option are perks that give the killer oblivious effect that compleatly can make survivor clueless compare to just having few meters smaller terro radius that just more hinders that killer I would say (oni is solid user for having more chance for getting closer to get that m1 on healty survivor and gain power faster or range killes with 24 meters to have higher chance for pulling stealth shot).

For me to answer this question you're going to have to be willing to accept that what I am telling you is true.
Most survivors at any skill level, and I swear you this, refuse to predrop pallets against a Wraith, for this reason I rarely 99 an uncloak, I prefer to fully uncloak while standing still and swinging through the pallet during a 50/50. Doing this always gets me a hit at least like 4-6 times a game. This is one reason but for many reasons Wraith is what I call a pallet eater, it is so easy and quick to force surivors to either give you a pallet or take a hit for it.
I have had games where even on the game I've removed like every pallet on the map as Wraith.
My current Wraith build is Brutal, Enduring, Spirit Fury and Hubris. You would not believe how easy and quick it is to gain spirit fury and to trigger hubris on people. My addons also are always Swift Hunt for uncloak speed and either Windstorm for movement speed or Blind Warrior for Sloppy Butcher.
I won't fully go into it, but Shadow Dance is an overrated and unnecessary addon and brutal is just a better all around replacement.
Because of the pallet density changes, it allowed me with this build to trigger spirit fury on people so much my games went like wildfire. I had one match where i downed 3 people in a row with hubris and spirit fury because they gave me so many pallets i just left some for future spirit fury.
If you want further evidence of just how effective this build was during the height of pallet density, I went on a 27 game win streak without relying on slugging, camping or tunneling using this build.
Hope that provides a sufficient explanation. If you have whole build around pallets then I believe you but wraith is pretty easy to outplay at pallets just if survivor has pallet he must wait and mostly 99 works for pallet being put down, smart survivors that know you 99 or know the loop isnt that short and that they can still run it and make it to pallet even if you uncloak due to their smallet hitbox when hugging the loop then they will counter you and then again wraith is just m1 with some good stealth that still isnt great and can be seen by survivors in open maps (they can see your siulet like wet predator from movie and they can hear you when you are close) and solid mobility but calling him stronger with more pallets I wouldnt say its true (if you doesnt have whole build dedicated to dealing with pallets and maybe windows then he is peretty highly effected by them way more then xeno, nemesis, springtrap, doctor and maybe more than bubba) he is solid with addons (without breaking speed or uncloak speed or speed addons he is just below b-tier and requires perfect play against decent survivors due to having no basekit tool to deal with pallets and windows, less chance for pulling bodyblocks and giving survivor more time and distance to reach safety when he is uncloaking).

The PTB version wasn't very good. He actually had more nerfs than buffs. He received his current buffs post PTB.
Mikey is just fine the way he is. He's a solid B tier killer now. You get plenty of auditory and visual warnings for when he's using his power.
Pretty much he was more nerfed than buffed then the strikes cooldown was super long and limited turn rate was worse than on billy, oni which are way stronger killers because billy has power all the time and insane speed with mobility and oni has more limited, earned power that has mobility to something mayers still doesnt have so he is more effected by looping even the fact he has basekit buffs in persuer mode and evil incarnate mode in form of faster stunrecovery, breaking and vaulting speed.
I would say he is high b-tier and maybe top a-tier but again I dont think he is reaching there because he has no advanced strong techs only is more better with chase build with his natural buffs for chase but then he lacks are control and mobility compare to someone who doesnt have that instadown but has these things like larry, mayers isnt that crazy and instadown doesnt make killer op like look at bubba who is without addonst that give him (beast marks) speed and something like iri flesh compleatly weak c-tier, ghostface who without play with your food stacks and knife sheat has no help to get his instadown faster so its just like having basekit make your choice you can apply when you want (its effected by vigil I believe so such power thing it is) and strongest killers in the game except billy they dont have instadown just strong powers with insane mobility like nurse, blight, ghoul, twins, dracula only strongest killers with instadown are billy and oni and this is because they have insane speed in their dashes and huge mobility that can be used with their instadown then comes mayers (if we exclude weskers instadown that only happens if survivor allows it) and bubba up to ghostface so instadown is strong but mobility and speed outpreforms it way more than people thing.

You know he can circumvent the slowdown by only charging the bare minimum to get the insta-down, right?
Just get up to the back of the survivor you are chasing, and instantly down them without having to risk missing the charge. And speaking of the Slaughtering Strike, it got buffed a little too far for PC players, to the point where you are almost always guaranteed a down, unless you loop around an extremely tight round/square loop.
Myers is my main killer, so I guess I have formed some opinions on him.It got buffed only for better control something pc players struggle less than people palying on controllers (like oni, billy, blight and more killers with limited turn rate).
Its instadown and it how many killers have instadown? billy (hig a-tier), wesker with full infection (high b-tier, his instadown is very rare to get), bubba (c-tier to maybe ,ow b-tier killer) and ghostface (d-tier, one of top 54 worst killers in the game by turns of power), many killers have instadown and having it doesnt make them op like ghostface or bubba, mayers now has just better speed and reach compare his old version but now he slows down a lot when he is charging the strike and gives survviors multiple warnings and only thing on top is palet breaking ability of strike but his recovery is long so his strike isnt something crazy and he has it for just 60 seconds compare it to onis furry utility both break pallets, both instadown only oni has huge mobility with it (his power is hardest to get in game so he is balanced well plus mayers can mori survivor death on hook which is same as having ebony mori and pyramidhead or vecna can do it to in certain cases).
Its guaranteed? I wouldnt say so first all depends is distance between survivor and mayers using his strike because he must charge it enough to make it to survivor and get that hit before survvior reach some form of safety but if he is close then tell me what killer will miss Oni? no he can just hold m1 for 0,3 seconds to have instadown, bubba or billy, ghostface? if they are close then missing is only on killer or survivor pulling trick with pallet breaking priority or crouch tech but it mostly depends on killer hitting that shot nothing more. So now mayers is stronger due to having more tools for chase and everyone is so shocked we still have killers that are busted like blight or nurse, we have killeres that are stronger and way easier to play and offer way more like ghoul, whe have killers that if didnt were the pinicle of DBD bugs for years they would be way stronger than mayers like houndmaster or twins( in top 5 strongest killers in game but its just sluging) and everyone just now sees mayers as problem because he is now what a low a-tier, his addons arent so busted as before where few addons just held him above d-tier compare to trapper or ghostface.
-
And? Compare it to billy who is harder to evade if he can aum and has his power all game, mayers has to spend time to get evil incarnate mode and all he gets is just slaughtering strike that gives him charged dash/lunge that is little faster than normal lunge attack and he can oneshot survivors with it and break pallets (plus mori survivors that are dead on hook).
You as survivor get warned by sound cue when his stalk reaches 50% global warning, when he is charging slaughtering strike there is maybe sound cue but his knife is in unique animation and it shines for uknown reason, he slows down a lot so looping can be used to doge him its like pig dash but it oneshots and its just stronger nothing more.If you would want to make it more of stalking multiple survivors thing than you would need to buff the strike as compansation and I dobt think thats good thing to do, currently mayers is solid killer who isnt dependent on just one addon and he can be looped like any other normal killer, he lacks mobility and has now better synergy withchase perks but still this will weaken his gen deffence due to his none existant mobility. Old version was weaker and had to go through one more tier plus he had more powerfull addons and some carried him so high (tombstone which deleted any survivor he came into contact).

I liked it when there were more pallets, my Wraith was even stronger than before because of it 😆
How can killer that is very higly effected by pallets (less with breaking addons but still must play around them) stronger when there is more of them? Wraith can bodyblock but more pallets mean more options so survivors that are blind and know usong their surraundings in for of other objects can make wraiths 1 second of 150% of speed way shorter can still outplay the wraiths block and get to other pallet because there is more of them, other thing is at the end of the day wraith plays mostly as m1 killer and can use hit power to gain easy hits only if he sneaks up on survivors or if he. body blocks the pallet or window that coul that survivor use to outplay his attack. He can use his power in chase but its not that good and only he can do is create like 50/50 where he more likely just is trying to 99 cloak and force pallet down or bait survivor into thinking it will be another fake uncloak but the fully uncloak and get that m1 or pallet at worst but his power has only two addons that help him break pallets faster and short speed boost that can max help him get hit on very unsafe loops or maybe mind game hit on unsafe loop (these are rare and survivor must make mistake by staing at that loop or having slow reaction or doesnt know where some closer loop is or what check spot is because even when wraith is fast for like nearly covering 8 meters in 1 second he still is way slower around loops due to hom having bigger and thicker character model compare to survivor so his effectivenes is way smaller than in open where he needs to bodyblock for guarantee hit most of times).
I cant understand how having more pallets make wraith stronger its like saying more los blockers make huntress or billy stronger (meaning more objects and random clutter that can block their powers and makes them worse than open area).

i intentionally want to go next and if i'm killer when i figure out there is a massive skill gap between me and the survivors i start being friendly
If survs are super bad I get 8 hooks and just chase someone around but that happens rarely, if survivors are super good I try still but if Im not in the mood and getting just bugs thrown on my face or things like autoaim hits into random things then I gave up but I did that few times (bacause its guarantee insults in endgame chatt and further mocking), few times I even went idle against survivors that wanted to do flashy saves andbmy full attention the frustration that hit them was funny its like giving kid balloon and the kid expects you will play with him but you just go around and leave same level of frustration.

If you mean the blue ones from past rifts then yes they are cool especialy billys one now with blue overdrive.

Set your FOV back to default.
The way that the killer FOV was implemented was by moving the camera back, but now it's disconnected from the position the game is saying that you're at, so the sounds are playing from like 3m away from where the camera is saying you are.
Because that's obviously the best way to implement this.
Can it be but then some things are unplayable with normal fov like xeno in running mode because you have the tail on your 1/3 of screen.

you know you don’t have to buy the skins right?
Im just buying for shards.

The devs somehow forget about them, I didnt saw anything anbout better anticheat or some quality of live change like better in game report saystem that works.
I bet I had more problems with DBD anticheat than any cheater in games history because like 4-5 years back there was issue where anticheat had blocked you from playing game and it was annoying to fix and I got it two times.

From Operation Health to Operation Revert…
As always thinking big just to fail miserably. Would be better for everyone if they just focused on bug fixes instead. The best thing devs can do now, something big like making houndmaster almost with no gamebreaking bugs or twins or better anticheat and in game report system for cheaters that works but that would be asking too much just buy skin and wait I guess.

Its been messed for long time for years, sometimes they fix something but its just lot of things from footsteps to falling sounds to sounds of the grass or corn on farm when someone walks through it.

Could take away his deep wounds. Doesn't make sense why he even had it. Could make it so his power applies deep wounds only if the target was already injured as a start.
True but then question is how he will interact with injured survivors because if you make he deep wounds them when he hits them injured (uneffected by his mark, that thing that boosts him) he will have to hit them two times which isnt ideal but I fear more of bugs that will be long time in the game like huntress or slinger hit validation, houndmasters dog getting stuck etc..

The most ignored issue are cheaters, reason uknown.

Is it worth to run it even nowdays when many survivors are running perks like orelas healing perk or we wil make it where healing after unhook became meta and heals are fast (forget that perk that gives survivor 70% of healing progress bar when they are unhooked which can make heals under hook super fast), so is it worth it even using it (leverage perk) if its that hard countered nowdays and still killer that is tunneling hardcore after unhook the hooked survivor is either close (if its killer with no or bad mobility for getting back to the hook) or they are back fast because they use killer with strong mobility so in my opinion leverage isnt worth it more usefull would be slowdown perk or even force penance that punishes teammates for bodyblocks.

Let's just all play perkless trapper to amuse the masses. Dbd forbid a killer be viable and not require a massive amount of skill making him fun at all mmrs.
They would get bored fast these days survivors just dont want sweat games (even the fact they do gens as fast ss they can), they dont want friendly pacifist killer brcause its free and its not chalange and mostly they dont want to go against most effective killers strategies like tunneling, sluging (even the fact most of them use the survivors most effective strategies to like fast gens, bodyblocking with endurance or if they can, etc.), its hard nowdays no matter what you do and how nice or chill you play survivors will still complain.

I just had a game yesterday where Survivors are clearly friendly towards killers, so I decided to play around and let them all escape.
But after the match after I typed gg, all I got was ez.
So much for being nice.
Same thing happened when I gave the last survivor hatch, either intentionally or just didn't slug for 4k. But most of the time either I got no reply, or I got ez at the end.
I should probably stop being friendly for real, because no one appreciates it.
PS: I don't camp/tunnel/slug/use anti-gen perks, but people still act like **** if they survived, especially when I'm playing a weaker killer.
Thats nothing new, I got it to so many times that the friendly side of me died quite a lot and if Im friendly towards some survivors then its my choice. The times where survivors did silly things like crounching and droping their items in basement to bargin for their lives are gone now they mostly mock you for no reason or if you missed which is just lame mocking someone with ez when he spared you and gave you hatch or gate I dont get it but I get these survivors often so I play by the worst behaving ones.
Item for hatch as bargin thing for live, nowdays its rare to get some survivor do this they are either to greedy (even p100 that have multiple purple and iri addons and items in their bloodweb every level) or they think they should get it for being last, last survivor who gave up like that was some bill who plays DBD from its early days.

the ultra long log loop should be removed since every survivor runs to it since it wastes a ridiculous amount of time if you aren't running bamboozle or an add-on that does something similar
Or just playing s-tier killer like blight who can just get around the whole log in few seconds and get that hit anyway, rip m1.
