it’s him and this might be unpopular but Scott Jund

Cmon everytime he makes a video his exact changes are literally what happens, these people say they have no influence but just looking at the patch notes shows these devs are watching them

Facts when new patch or any uptdate hits live, ptb or twitter post from devs he just cooks video about it.

You have to not move while you do it. If you move forward they are able to get behind you and start the vault animation.

I think its dependent on type of loop if the pallet hasnt any blocking objects on sides then survivor can slide behind you and vault.

  • @iOverSpray said:

Isn't it part of his anti loop kit is to be able to hit the survivor when they try and immediately jump back over the pallet you just vaulted? Works 30% of the time. The other 70 is just another bugged out bigger issue.

That hit has smaller hitbox than weskers you would need to be right infront of him, what is problem is that when he vaults behind you enraged he will slow survivor now which I dont get why its a thing he should just vault faster than when he is not enraged and dont slow survivor why vaulting using his scamper.

Survivor defeatism is a plague on this game and it's really concerning seeing people on the forums who I'd normally consider well versed in the game endorse it.

If you're going to queue for a game, play the game. If you're not going to play the game, go play something else instead of queueing for DbD. I don't know why that's so controversial to say.

Pretty much every trapper without meta could just stay in corner because is survs he is going against arent bad he is naturaly loosing 2 gens before he gets hook or even the first chase but I havent seen such behaviour from killers tbh, nothing gets me more iritated than that one teammate thats starts play for hatch on 2 gens left when we are still 3 alive it sounds crazy but there are many survivors like this or the ones that put gens before saves and then they mock killer but problem isnt in killer.

Biggest killers in this game are other survivors that wont help you when they should for the greater good of the team, sandbag you for their amusement or by accident (I dont mean bodyblocking only but things like rushing vault when there is no point doing so etc.).

We already have it in game - it's called mouse movemnt, you either look up or down.

If survivor blinds you and killer comes from breaking animation looking down takes some time and smart survivor will still crouch and blind you because for chain blind the time it takes to apply that blind is like second maybe even less so you cant kinda doge first chain blind mostly but third one and others you can.

I think a main problem is the unknown factor of what will happen in this round.

You can go into a round as Killer with the attitude of going for a fun game.

Some will appreciated that you don´t play by your full potential, the others will mock you.

So you go into the next round and play by your full potentcial and nuke the cute sable which only wanted to pet the dracula doggo. They will hate you for it.

So many players went "f*** it" and ignored the "Fun part for the other side" of the game and played their best (which is their right to do so.) Survivors are kinda different. Yes if they want to nuke you they will do it. But most of the time they want some funny chases.

The problem is you can´t say which survivors you verses and if you realize these are the toxic once the exit gate could be already powered.

You know bigest mental tortue you can give to survivors is to ignore "chase me" types and chase (tunnel sometimes when its needed) the ones that would rather just hide and then hold m1 on gen then get into chase.

As you mention frustration is one of reasons, you can go for chill game get sweats that mock you then even the fact you could get them some slug or tunnel and had more better results but they are kinda blind to see it tbh (this kind of survivors are just predictible they mostly think you couldnt make it to the hook and they got the hatch by their skill then just see that you gave them hatch but their ego is blinding them).

Tunneling has many reasons like toxic survivor or some that is getting between you and other survivors often like some flashlight nea then its in your interest to hinder her in doing so (like flash saving, sabbo, constand bodyblocking etc. things that slow you down even if its not needed because you dont play sweaty just chill 12 hook game meaning you doesnt even tunnel just trying to go for chases and hooks), or when survivors do to many gens fast then its very important to kick someone out because even if you had fast chases and hooks if the whole team is alive they will still do all gens and get minimaly 2 escapes if they dont screw this up.

But that is precisely my point.

At average MMR blight is not a problem because average skill survivors are going against average skill blights who aren't curving around tight corners and bouncing from loop to loop downing people in 10 seconds.

Likewise, high MMR blights are going against high MMR survivors. Which, if that is the case and blight is a problem there, then BY DEFINITION you must also contend with the fact that high MMR survivors are a problem for 30+ killers who just aren't viable at that level.

So the point is, you have to pick one.

Still he needs some small changes like loosing tokens when he breaks (ghoul got this even the fact blight would need this too, i would give him loosing 2 tokens when doing break action and maybe none if he breaks with his power because he already needs two to do this). I think blight should be strong killer because he is kinda fun and has huge skill floor.

Just like nurse, blight is very easy to perform well with. Mastering him, just like nurse, is a lot harder.

Its easier to perform well with blight than with most other killers. Low cooldowns, pallet break in the basekit, one of the best mobility powers in the game AND 4.6ms. Oh, and he has great addons as well.

His catch up is better than ghouls and he can unlike ghoul hit survivors or break pallets which is way stronger, trying to loose blight that want to chase you and only you on normal open map (no indoor with many doorways like larrys or rpd where he cant use his power well) is almost impossible no matter where you run he will be behind you always and even three or two sprinbursts wont save you if its open map and he has his power ready just one toke covers what sprintburst does (in reality doesnt because he must bump into some object to continue with his power but still his five dashes will catch up to 3 sprintburts and biggest part is his speed while dashing is faster than billys saw so its like almost 200% speed and sprint is 150% so yeah you cant sprint away from blight just two to three dashes will destroy your or he will catch up).

The data BHVR releases shows otherwise. Usually blight is in the middle of the pack and nurse is near the bottom of the pack.

Hell the last time they released data, you know what the top 10 killers were by kill rate?

    1. Lich
    2. Freddy
    3. Sadako
    4. Dredge
    5. Pig
    6. Twins
    7. BLIGHT
    8. Ghoul
    9. SKULL MERCHANT (MIND YOU THIS IS PREBUFF)
    10. Oni

So, either, you think blight is a problem, and then also lich, freddy, sadako, dredge, pig, and twins need to be nerfed.

    OR

You believe that blight is a problem and needs to be nerfed because in the hands of really good killer players he is a problem (along with nurse) and if so, by DEFINITION you MUST also believe that survivors need to be nerfed because of what the best survivor players are capable of doing.

You don't get to have your cake and eat it too.

Is this high mmr kill rate or average kill rate?

So l assume its average kill rate so lets break each killers

    • lich has multiple weaker powers in one which makes him very hard to understand for many players because each of his powers has different counter, his items that counter each power are strong and ofcourse the stronger the power the better the effect to counter it like the haste from boots for mage hand, so in short he is hard to understand and he isnt most played killer so its quite on the rare end of killers survivors get which means he will have gook kill rate on average (survivors that know how to counter his powers will mop the floor with the lich because he has no hig techs such as blight or super busted power).
    • freddy had always one of highest kill rates even when he was at his lowest which is because of few things like he was played by his main mainly and they can boost killers kill rate very high because they play their killer mainly which means they are better with that killer than some average kill who just sometimes plays that killer, second thing is his power isnt so easy to understand for survivors either and now he has multiple of them from buffed teleport (he can tp to sleeping survivors when they heal and effect for it is uknown by many like they dont think the smoke means anything), hinder with snares, some help from dream pallets and he has lullaby when survivors are asleep which means no terror radius.
    • sadako like freddy had always high kill rate even the fact she is one of worst killers but then main like onepumpwilly can boost her kill rate high when they know how to play her at her best and master her, again very hard power for survivors to understand she was three times reworked so more than half of the community (I bet) even doesnt know what her power does now, how it functions so again just another "noob stomper" like many of these killers
    • dreadge is just very low mediocre killer at his best maybe mediocre even weaker than freddy and harder I would say but his power many survivors doesnt understand either like locking two lockers next toeach other isnt good thing or his nightfall is another mechanic that stomps survivors that doesnt understand it either so another "noob stomper" we can say and he isnt that played either even the fact now there are more lockers and he is better than before.
    • pig is one of weakest killers in the game but many survivors are just srewed by her traps becasue they dont understand them and panic a lot plus from all the killers she is the least played here right behind merchant and twins
    • twins are very strong and rare so again many survivors doesnt even get them more than few times a year compare to ghouls, weskers, blights, huntresses etc. so they are just having this advantage of not being popular and thats helps them because many survivors doesnt know how to play against them and they are master of slugging (their whole power is just best slugging power in the game and add soloq aspect to it and you get your high chances for 4k)
    • blight is one of hardest mechanical killers but understanding him gives the player huge advantage because his power covers many things like mobility, antiloop which is something he is very good at and his power is second best in the game if player know how to use it because you can get across the map in seconds (unless its indoor map but still he has there great mobility compare to m1 killers), his dashes are too fast that survivors can prerun you or run into open or be greedy on long wall loops like shack because just one small mistake and you catch them in seconds and hit them, with his small cooldown and great mobility with insane speed he is just king of DBD and second strongest killer even after his hug tech removal and addon nerfs
    • ghoul is just weaker than blight but he is much easier to understand and to play which makes him more better pick for average joe than blight, he is in top 5 strongest killers which means he is super strong if 40 killers are in the game.
    • skullmerchant had always high kill rates even toped the kill rates in her strongest time and even after her rework (mostly due to survviors giving up or killing themselfs on hook), she is weakest killer in the game with trapper and she still is there even after her buffs another thing is she is only played mostly by her mains and they are good with her and try to hold her because its their main so thats why her kill rate is better than killer like trapper or trickster, bubba, billy, nurse (not in high mmr because there she is joke if survivors take that match serioisly.
    • oni was made easier (little) but I would say now he is more accessible than before beacuse he can flick now even on controller which was just MK thing before, for me he is still harder killer because now his flicking is much easier due to his increesed turn rate so now its hard to hit it right, he is just killer that is m1 and has probably hardest requirement for getting his power which is god mode (I believe if he could have his power fo 60 seconds and didnt lost 7 seconds when he hits survivor with it while charging or using his instadown then he would be in top 5 because his power has high mobility, instadown, longer reach and dash attack which are easier to control than billy or blight), he is well balanced and his counterplay is just easy dont give him hits and blood for his power but his explosive gameplay is what makes him so succesful like you can be looped like baby and the get power and down two survivors in 15 seconds window which is something even blight or nurse cant pull while survivors are healty.

Blight is problem with how strong he is he should get same token reduction as ghoul and maybe 12 seconds cooldown instead of 10 because he is very strong but hard to play and liked by his mains and community ("golde child of DBD") which makes him kinda immune to nerfs compare to other killers like merchant or knight, nurse needs rework because she cant be nerfed hard she is just 100% all around her power so her power has to be strong so she will either will be very strong, strongest or super bad trash killer.

Freddy doesnt need rework or nerfs he is ok now, lich is ok a-tier which looks thats when devs want their killers to be in range around lich, wesker to springtrap in terms of power so they can better balance this mess.

Sadako very weak killer low c-tier at best, dreadge mediocre at his best, pig is only top tier in eyes of her mains but in reality she is weak low c-tier, twins are very strong but they will probably get changed because if devs want to give survivors basekit antislug mechanic then twins need some reshape so they can be more in current game like ability to teleport to victors location and despawn him with longer cooldown so they can get that hook from down they made across the map etc..

Houndmaster stuttering bug is still there it's not good enough!

For some reason "M1-Killer" has become the strawman lately. If anything changes, it is because of M1-Killers. And the funny thing is that I dont even see more M1-Killers if anything is nerfed on the Survivor-Side, because someone who played Blight or Ghoul before will not suddenly stop playing those Killers if something from Survivors is nerfed. They will just keep playing their Killer, just with better results now.

And as someone who enjoys M1-Killers quite a bit myself (aside from Billy and a bit of Huntress, all Killers I frequently play are M1-Killers), the times where I encountered teams with stacked Syringes can probably be counted on one hand. (But there comes the next strawman… "highest MMR" and "good Survivors")

Chances were you will get max two in lobby with stypric or syrange (before their nerfs) but I had one weekend where I was getting 2-4 styptics or syranges every game and it almost drove me to pick ghoul or blight because if you got whole team with strong addons against wraith who has mobility but super easy counterplay and these addons are still very strong against him them you are mostly cooked in the lobby and its just another hardcore game that is lost from the start and you can try for miricle if survivors arent super bad and doesnt last in chase less then 20 seconds plus no one is effected by genphobia.

  • @ImWinston said:

    • Aside from the combo with sprint burst (which is a really strong combo), I think syringes have been heavily nerfed. While when I play killer and use an iridescent addon (in most cases) I really feel a huge boost in "strength"... the iridescent survivor addons are (at best) mediocre. The Styptic Agent is simply awful, and no one will convince me otherwise.🤣

Difference in syrange is now you must use it with some exhastion perk like sprintburst to get distance but before their nerf you got heal which gave you second chance because killer (most of them only the instakills or deep wound countered it compleatly but this is what from 40 killers like 6-8 killers can do something like that) had to damage you one time more and you got that sprintburst from that hit annyway now its just the sprintburst and addon is still strong.

Styptics are bad, not worth it now but same could be said about pinheads addon that got nerfed for "greater good" of the game and still there is already addon that has very simular effect but its actualy better, devs kinda spend what few hours about thinking what the addons will do because it looks like they didnt pay any effort or time to come up with some solid effects in terms of styptic and pinheads addon (syrange effect isnt something that took them lot of time to come up with but atleast its still strong effect thats doing something).

  • @Nazzzak said:

I play mostly M1 killers and always have, so I don't need a step by step run down of how games go. Matches where the entire team run them is rare, and again, iri add-ons should be strong. The argument that "players got great value from their iri add-ons" isn't exactly controversial to me.

They can be strong but then its gg on m1 killers which doesnt have crazy mobility or super srtong antiloop to have chance to get that one hit in 16 seconds time window (not to mention perks like botany will reduce the heal time of syrange), as I wrote above stronger killers doesnt care they can deal with them on their own by just getting those hits from their powers but weak m1 killers have to deal with more health states which means there is more time on gens and these killers already struggle against normal teams that are gen efficient.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

sound simple and good. The least they could do is allow him tp to breakable walls. I think ceilings are pretty simple too. Aim at a ceiling to teleport there after a few seconds. Shouldnt be too difficult surely.

Just updating his portals because they are super outdated tbh, we have killers like springtrap that has beter mobility and stealth but demo is left still in the dust which sucks because he was at one time one of favorite killers survivors wanted to face but now only thing that is good at him is his shread.

Come on, just admit that you did not know that it changed. Obviously we are talking about the new version of Styptic Agent, since this is the whole point of the thread. I dont think I need to mention it, since the old version is not relevant anymore since it is not in the game anyway.

So yeah, you acted all high and mighty while not having any clue at all. And now you want to find excuses for your mess-up. Great.

I know they changed them and I know styptic is realy bad now but syrange is still good in simular way (now you arent healed but get to use your sprintburts or any other exhastion perk again which has probably same effect on killers, strong ones with good mobility doesnt care as before and weaker ones are still having hard time fighting against this but in my opinion current syrange is better because if survivor was healed m1 killer would have to hit him again to injure him and he got second chance with one more health state and sprintburst from injury so now he just gets only sprintburst and not second chance in form of another health state, problematic is this mostly due to another perk having same effect which is bloodrush so you can have three sprintburts).

All I agree on is that new version is bad for its rarity (it looks they didnt spend enough resources to come up with something better but same problem has pinheads changed addon).

Why you acti so all knowing and keep trying to get me claim that you have right, its starting to strange.

Then dont post to someone who said that the current version of the Add On is less worth than a brown Add On. Especially if you act high and mighty and are like "you dont know how to use it".

And BHVR listens to people like that, such a shame.

Why you so agressive, this is what you posted and asked

Enlighten us. When would you use the Styptic Agent, the purple Add On, to get value out of it which isnt outclassed by other Add Ons?

Did you mention somewhere its about current version of sryptic???? Hmm no and from where you get I act "higly and mighty" (I like your imagination btw), I never mentioned Im good at using it I dont used thes addons because when I did game was way easier and it felt cheap for me just because of powerfull addon, you wrote they werent good before (fine so they didnt need nerf) i said they were if you knew how to use them and when they you ask How to use them? Enlinghten us…. I wrote when and why and then you go full attack after some "snap".

The bhvr sentence, yeah what a seer arent you, knows whats best but after comment he gets and asked for goes full agression what a nice way to debate.

    Camping change went live, no?

And we got at least unhook protection extended and I wouldn't say extra 5 seconds is low value. I am used to playing with Babysitter, so that helps a lot.

Pallet change is 100% an issue, but you should blame devs for this one, that has nothing to do with killer mains. People just asked for revert of previous change on most of those maps.
It's definetly devs fault for using nuke on pallets instead and creating this buggy mess.

Are anticamp changes problem? If I remember corretly the distance is same and the anticamp bar multiplier is faster when killer is longer in radius so it should work when someone is standing in its radius but ofcourse a killer that is 30 meters away and can make it before survivor can get to hooked one and save will always srews with anticamp no matter what it is and personaly I dont see camper that much and if they proxycamp or wait nearby then they are mostly tunnelers waiting for their choosen survivor to get saved so they can down and hook him again, the pure campers are long time gone mostly.

Stealth? In this day and age?
Last I checked, there is a lot of aura read in the game, rendering hiding/stealth almost useless, unless you are in a locker.
Popping a fog vial just paints a big target on your location, and who runs Boon: Shadow Step these days?

Stealth is still possible but sometimes is easy to get which aura read perks killer has like if you hiding around gen and he kicks it and comes right for you then its clear he has no where to hide etc. and another thing is many killers just use the same aura perks like nowhere to hide, barbecue etc. because others arent that usefull like some aura locker perk (there are two dreadge one and alien one) is used with killers that use lockers or are around them a lot like huntress, trickster and if you see killer open a locker multiple times for no valid reason high chance is he has some aura perk conected to lockers, just be still in the game and pay attention ynd you would wonder what all things you missed before you did this. Stealth has still some use and it works its just not guarantee anymore as it was back then.

I wasnt speaking about current version but i thought its easy to understand it maybe I should point it out more.

I didn't realise how bad it was until I went against a team with stacked medkits and botany as pig. They healed so fast that it meant the only option was to focus down whoever I managed to injure. I spread the first hooks because RBTs provide a little slowdown but after that, hooks 5 and 6 were on the same survivor in a row and only then did I have a moment to breathe.

Edit to clarify: this was before the latest patch, so the amount of pallets certainly didn't help.

Same with slugging when you go against very coordinated swf that can denny you hooks and do gens then you cant do anything else than slug and tunnel someone out when you got a chance to reduce their effectiveness because you cant play normaly they would cook you on gens and you would have few hooks from twice as many downs which is kinda bad. I had now one feng that had to go because she was sabbo problem and two of her teammates went into corners from which there was just one hook I could make it and hook there other were too far away so I had to focus on her, I hooked like two other before tunneling her out (two times, first she just stayed near someone I chased so I switched to her and second time she was healing under the hook and I had enough of this boring sabbo to deal with).

Hit and run is long dead and this strategy was possible when they nerfed healing but now there is new meat which is fast heals after unhook which sucks plus many good healing perks like botany, orelas with hook stagest for each it gives 50% to healing speed etc..

Enlighten us. When would you use the Styptic Agent, the purple Add On, to get value out of it which isnt outclassed by other Add Ons?

You can easily force it kinda like dead hard vault window or pallet and use it behind corner many killers will m1 you (many of them dont spot your medkit is missing) or if you would nearly didnt make it to the loop you want or wasnt sure then pop it and its guarantee you make it to safe are (unless killer has some mobility and can bodyblock you but there isnt many killers that can do it and even if they can this doesnt work on every loop) its just different dead hard kinda its easier to use more than dead hard but it has easier counter unless srvivor knows how to use and most important where to use it (just like you need to know when to use dead hard because every killer that expects it in open can bait it but right when you are in pallet or when you are infront of window those are situations where killer must swing or go through/around and thats when dead hard is most effective).

The styptic gives you less value than a BROWN charge add-on.

If you dont know when to use it the it does.

  • @Nazzzak said:

I never used either of the medkit iri add-ons back when I played survivor, but I've always been of the opinion that iri add-ons across the board should be strong. Neither were gamebreaking but whatever, who knows why the devs make the decisions they do.

They were ok until whole survivor team run them against m1 killer, then it was hell to deal with same with styptic until whole team run them they were kinda fine and saying its easy to deal with well depends which killer plus syrange was used most (from my personal experience) with addon that gave survivor 5% haste for 20 seconds so basicaly he poped medkit and had stronger mft with autoheal and deal with it as m1 killer you cant get him easily if he can loop and if you dont get him in 15 seconds he will be fully healed, simular with styptic if the survivor used it behind corner and run into you or used it somewhere where was pallet then this you cant wait because even if you do the survivor will be in the safe location, only unexperienced killers would hit you when you used it in the open and didnt wait 5 seconds (or meta killers such as blight that could catch you and down you right few seconds after they hit you).

The pallet changes have made that easier. Its part of what has made the last patch difficult for most killers. Admittedly though it isn't everything. Lower tier killers like Ghostface or Clown will still struggle because they're lacking in other parts of their kit like map mobility/pressure or good anti-loop. Clown has great anti-loop, but his with no good mobility he'll always be in the middle. Ghostface has stealth and an instant down but zero pressure or anti-loop

Clown now is good but he still has no mobility (he is very good in antiloop where even top survivors last long in chase against him but on other hand he still gets rushed).
Ghostface has stealth and instadown but he can be contered in so many ways not to mention he has like the most easy to counter power probably just look at him, agressive players that fallow you and reveal you or are slowing you down isnt much helping his slow stealthy gameplay best way how to play him is injure and stalk like hit and then 99 doesnt comit to long chases as m1 but that can be countered to.

Truth is now these killers are more viable but they still suck compare to others and in like week or two they will suck as before so nothing changes plus Im getting now more genrushing teams and the genrushes are more stronger and visisble against these weaker killers which can very hardly battle it omly pick best perks snd addons and hope for good map against team full of average joes.

  • @SoGo said:

I would do this if in the future the devs would want to nerf Pain Res.

It's much better to make it so tunneling is off the table than just lowering the percentage.

Otherwise, this is not that pressing of a problem.

Nerfing pain res wont cut it and its stupid that perk was reworked to function as one of best perks that forced killer to spread hooks instead tunnel, reason why is used as number one regression perk is simple and they are two, first is mobility issue with pop or other perks you must go and locate most progressed gens or have good mobility but pain res damages that most progressed gen (if its not blocked) from anywhere on the map which is more helpfull to more killers especialy the ones that have no mobility instead perks like pop. Second reason why pain res is so used is because it has great synergy with other good perks like grim embrace(another great perk that kinda forced killer to spread hooks instead) or dead man switch that has been nerfed but its still good perk and in combination with pain res (that does only with regression from its first hit not counting if no one is on the gen like 18-22 seconds when someone is on the gen and the blocks it with dead mans which stops regression for moment but in total you slow the gen like for almost minute if we will count that someone will jump on it moment the block from dead mans is gone which is huge help).

I know its long but I hope many will read it before downvoting it to oblivion but in reality I kinda farm downvotes than upvotes so Idc much about it.

The problem with helping soloq players is that any buff to them is a buff to SWFs

    This is totally wrong.

Thats like saying global killer buffs ( like the ones in patch 6.1.0 where faster break speed, attack recovery speed etc., can even count current pallet situation with loops being nerfed n many maps for no valid reason) doesnt effect strongest killers but will help the weakest ones, it just doesnt make sence the changes like this buff not only weaker killers but the strongest too same with global survivor buffs things like 5 seconds longer endurence and haste buff soloq but not as much as swf.

How do you want to tell me that the ptb changes would buff soloq but didnt swf? Almost every buff to soloq effects swf in positive way because they can get more from things like untitunnel or more info than soloq thats it.

it's quite the conundrum if you ask me. her stealth is basically her only redeeming quality for me. I feel we've reached a critical mass of auras than we don't even need old Object anymore but now you don't even know what the aura triggers are anymore, which makes it feel almost impossible to try anything against 4 man's. as far as I'm concerned, the drones are just pocket Insidious

I do have Ghostfaces pay to win skin but I don't wanna play him. I feel like SMs stealth is as divisive as whether or not Trickster should be 110 or 115

Whats ghostfaces pay to win skin? Do you mean bush hunter the brown one?

Hopefully some people realize sooner that they can play some lower tier killers without having to sweat so much!

Playing lower tier killer without map that benefits you and good sddons and perks is just hardcore challange many casual players dont want to do like I compleatly understand someone who can play 3-4 games in one evening to go for fun higher tier killers than just sweat his nuts trying to win with ghostface or demogorgan.

I have lost all hope that BHVR has any idea how to balance the killer roster. They’ve had years to do it and they either F up any attempt to adjust killers (e.g. Skull Merchant, Clown, Freddy) or they just ignore the killers completely (e.g. Hag, Trapper, Ghostface)

Cant denny the few they did right like billy who was ok then nerfed for no reason with overheat and year ago he got overdrive which put him into game again, doctors was good at the time but now its nit noticiable because there are many more new and reworked, buffed killers that are better than him not to mention his antiloop is very dependent on addons and he gets just area info ability because the madness slowdown and harder skillchecks only work against survivors with few hours. Mayers is in my opinion good rework because he is more versitile than old one and you have multiple forms to choose from which wasnt the case before not to mention he was garbage without certain addons, now some people claim he lost his identity but same others say with freddys first version in my opinion reworked mayers is good rework from devs. Bubbas rework was at his time god rework with charges being the thing that was goid change but now he still needs help because after some updates to his kit that should solve his addon dependency just solve it partially (before his meta was beast marks with chili now chili isnt needed but beast marks are must if you want to be able to outplay many loops with his power).

Freddys rework probably wasnt best but atleast he doesnt suck now and is just clown with weaker antiloop but has teleport with some stealth.

I keep remembering the time Otz had her at A tier, though for the past few years now he's been considering her a C tier. She is hurt severely by coordinated groups or whoever chases her at the start. They can stop her from setting up the web, and that really hurts her early game

She isnt that played but first she was low because of healing meta with COH then she was high again and the I thik hens tested her agains comp survs and outcome was 20 minutes game but unlike with condem sadako the outcome was she didnt get any kills or one which is poor tbh, she just as all trap killers depends on survivors making mistakes and punishes them but same as with trapper or ghostface if some survivor runs behind you and dissarms your power (traps) she becomes m1 killer with 110 speed so she is kinda bad against agressive teams that have coordination. She just destroyes uncoordinated teams especialy soloq and is stomped by coordinated agressive teams (just one guy running behind you and dissarming your traps is enough to make you sweat and have very hard time not to mention there is tech that just makes survivor to triger your trap and get from hit radius no matter how fast you tp there or they will stealth behind and just remowe them slowly or run through them when you carry someone and then its gg).

I think they should make her 115 speed as other m1 killers but once you set trap you become 110 speed and another thing is to remove her hinder shd has second or two after she teleports this would help her. Nice thing would be giving her timed ability that makes her after some time 30-45 seconds to teleport to any of her traps now there is sddon for that but having this basekit would make her more fun, problem with her is as with any unpopular killer she isnt super problematic and isnt popular so she gets ignored as forgotten toy in the corner.

  • @BongoBoys said:

The portal idea does sound good. Demos portals are kinda outdated I think being able to teleport to any existing portal from anywhere can be a thing

Well comparing his portals to springtraps its easy to see who gets better ones not to mentione stealth like springtrap 15 seconds basekit oblivious without global warning he used his doors (portal) and demo? 5 seconds oblivious with global sound cue that warns everyone he is using portal pretty balanced indeed, deffinitely not outdated.

Now there is kinda hope if new chapter will be stranger things then there is chance demo will get some updates but I hope devs see it same and that they wont do another money grab with new strong killer and survivors with strong perks while leaving poor demo in outdated state like street dog because he doesnt give them that money anymore.

  • @ShanoaLegendaryPlz said:

Im surprised xenomorph had such a low pickrate. Hes like nemisis on steroids if the survivors never bunch the turrets together, and noone ever expects him to see you from underground. He just has a significant weakness to bully squad /swf tactics as they always bunch the turrets together but id say its more of the survivors time wasted setting up than your own if you manage to break them all and go into a tunnel to chase the next person on a gen.

Problem is now almost every survivor knows how to place turets and in comparison to nemesis its like getting zombie in doorway and having to kill him with m2 all the time, this slowdown is very noticible not to mention survivors see turrets from very far distance so they know where to run and two turrets in one chase thats like missing two hits and loosing like 12-15 meters distance which isnt fun at all tbh thats why nemi who is I would say little weaker more reliable and easier to play as compare to xenonorph he is even less stressfull because doging his attack is harder when the killer knows where to aim and drag it.

Great question! Really, this idea came to me after watching the developers backtrack multiple times on the base game changes surrounding anti-tunnel measures. They seem to struggle with making broad changes, so starting smaller with anti-tunnel perks seems more effective to me in the short term regarding the issue of tunneling, even if the perk is currently meta. Looking for healthier alternatives or changes in the game is important, and that is the main goal. I also believe there are more options to evaluate for tunneling, but for this discussion, just keeping the focus on DS for now.

    Thanks for responding!

If they buff antitunnel perks then you cant expext some basekit antitunnel changes like those in past two ptbs and another thing is ds is meta perk that is in top 10 most used survivor perks from all those perks like over 150 perks are in the game and one of their goal is to push other perks so meta isnt stale. Last thing is ds is paid perk from dlc and chance to get it from shrine isnt high if ds was made stronger I doubt they would put it in shrine more often or made it free thats not economical for them.

  • @MoZo said:

they just need to bring that one bug back where the stun duration was different depending on what killer it was used on.

You mean that 2 seconds stun for hag when ds was in its strongest state.

  • @Tenac said:

I see a lot of posts about people complaining that they see the same killers so I ask what is a killer that you love to play that is underrated and do you have any tips for them?

For me it is Hag. She apparently had a less than 1% pick rate at one point and I really don't see why. 1. She has one of the best designs and lore to support it. In the game I get that she can be outdated but I think if you take the time to get used to her she can be very powerful. It helps that is isn't picked as much because quite a few survivors don't know how to face her. Not to mention one of the most brutal moris in the game. She is honestly in my top 3 killers and is working her way into my top 2.

Hag isnt that fast phased killer there is lack of action compare to artis or twins (thats why I didnt see her for so long, I have met more twins and houndmasters even more artist players than hags), she is just like big fat and old orbweaver spider she just builds her web and thats it no chase ability just place traps and be fast on key for teleport but even with that good survivors that know how to counterplay her traps (for this tech they need to know where the traps is), they can counter her traps compleatly and coordinated teams mostly swf are just too fast and can pull some strategies against her. She is like all trap killers she just needs from survivors to do mistakes by steping into her traps snd punishes that problem is good teams will make your game take sges and still beat you because she is nothing without her traps not even m1 killer but 110 speed killer with nothing which isnt fun nothing action as wraith, huntress, wesker.

  • @MechWarrior3 said:

I don’t think there is anyone that hates Skull Merchant anymore…

You would be suprised I still think people react to her same as against ghoul but difference between her and ghoul is simular as between trapper and blight its just the fact she is probably worst killer in the game so survivors should be happy she is just weak m1 killer and her drone just crouch you must do it again vecna to or some dash killers on stairs or against nemi when there is some object between you and him I just dont get why this thing is so bad because you must do it against her but doing it against way more powerfull killers its fine, thats like being happy to go agains blight even the fact you want to win but then be angry to go against legion but difference is against legion if you do gens and can loop than you will more likely escape than against blight.

  • @Langweilig said:

I really dislike that she gets almost permanent undetectable. You can never be sure whether she is close or not and my teammates constantly get grapped of Gens.

There are killers that have to pernament stealth like ghostface and pig so I dont think merchant is the problem why your teammates are getting pulled from gens its just lack of being sharp in the match against stealth killer which is thing that you must do against most of stealth killers in order to not get grabed or give him easy hit but Idk how you get grabed when you are n open simple answer is not paying attention (simular as wondering why that car hit you when you crossed road and didnt even stop and made sure no car is there that could hit you, same logic just not paying attention which is thing you must do against stealth killers), on indoor maps chance of being hit is way higher and to be grabed to but easy solution is being heatly and look behind your self so you can release m1 from gen and get hit instead of grab.

  • I must say I finally could play trapper after almost a year but these short loops are kinda worse for traps (unless you ran iri coil) because you have to most of times put a trap on pallet instead around the loop or its not even worth to trap dome loops because of how short they are now. Then I played killers Innormaly play when like knight and I found out he is buged, then I played ghostface and got most sweaty teams I ever faced past two months with heavy abusing of antitunnel due to it being 5 seconds longer and ofcourse it wouldnt be more sweaty without some nice comments in chatt like baby killer,gg ez etc. I got quite more comfortable playing killers like dracula and blight from 2v8 so if I will keep getting sweats maybe this short weaker killers episode will end even before devs revert pallets to the state as they were before pallet density update (I hope they wont revert maps like haddonfield or some coldwind maps).

  • @Colt45m said:

haddonfield, borgo and coldwind were the only realms that needed the pallet density. every other realm should’ve stayed the way it was pre pallet density

Pretty much these maps Idk why they went beyond it to asylum, macmilian, gasheaven and other maps that didnt need that and now they reduce pallets and weakened loops which is another unwanted change nobody asked for kinda strange why.

  • @SkeletonDance said:

They need to revert the maps to the point before they introduced pallet density

We didn't want this. We just wanted a revert. Not whatever strange change BHVR did

I dont know why some whiners here think killers wanted it all they wanted was from devs to remove 6 pallets they added on strong or alredy balanced maps like asylum, gasheaven etc. and not to destroy loops and reduce pallets on realms where it wasnt needed.

This is change no one asked for, other part of 9.3.0 patch was reduce some antitunnel buffs or buff unique hooks with something more than few blood points and bloodlust that isnt viable for most killers that was other part.

OnePumpWillie's trapper streak went to 210 matches, not 500 but for a killer people claim is "unplayable" at high mmr it is a massive streak.

This is the match he lost, you can find more matches on his channel.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjLUD1sW2M4&t=9s

His trapper streak was mostly done with haste and endgame perks and I saw some games from it he mostly just downed last survivors all of them or some but they were like 3-4 alive when last gen was poped he just sluged them with haste from perks and instadown from noed still great play from him to be able to get 200 wins with second worst killer from the game and probably the killer that starts the match loosing because of setting his power.

I was hard tunneled at 5 gens by three separate killers yesterday. It was clearly how they intended to play as they either never left the hook long or immediately dropped chase the moment I was unhooked. These were their builds:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/FI2X8KPBM3KI/screenshot-20251127-165300.jpg

Tunneling killers don't care about gen regress. The early tunnel is all they need. The regress is pointless if you have a 3v1 at 5 gens.

Interesting is the pure chase build but i bet it was ghoul or other strong killer, the slowdowns or endgame perks are still there like corrupt or noed they are better pick for hardcore tunnelers than regression perks tbh with some chase perk to get those survivors faster.

  • @100PercentBPMain said:

I just want the og pain res back. I want to be rewarded for hook farming. the whole point of the token system was because people took pain res "just" to do some regression while you tunnel 1 guy out but buffing the regression to put it on a token system just made it more annoying for skillful killers who overwhelm survivors, but it became even more annoying for survivors with the bigger regression.

If they put unique hooks into game and gave killers small pain res like 5-7% maybe 8% for each unique hook with some small haste bonus then it would be ok but current pain res is perk that doesnt support tunneling (hardcore one but normal one too) compare to old pain res that benefited tunnelers more than any other regression perk and gave more advantage stronger killers that can get downs far more easily than weaker ones like nurse, ghoul, blight, billy compare to trapper, ghostface, bubba.

But thats something we must wait for and hope it will come the unique hooks bonus and better antitunnel will come one day I think.

Assuming you're referring to 6.1.0's changes there, it was the combination of both nerfs that led to Ruin being a little mediocre.

If they'd reversed the other nerf, and we had 200% Ruin that disables when someone dies, it'd be even better than it is now and healthier to boot.

Though, honestly, Ruin isn't even necessarily one of the perks I'd choose for this particular change, since it also already has a deactivation trigger.

Ruin was worse than mediocre then the regression was 100% instead of what we have now or 200% as it have when it ws in its best and the the perk was still hex so you could loose it in first minute of the match or it dissabled when someone died which was even needed for hardcore tunneling them because people killed themself on the hook all the time back them (peak was when they faced merchant) so it was bad perk and if same would be done with regression then meta would only shifted to gen blocking perks with endgame options that made tunneling even more better because most of gen regression perks require from killer to go and kick gens or best one (the most used) pain res requires fresh hooks which gen slowdown and endgame perks doesnt need they just buy you time and some like currupt+deadlock+noway out+ blood warden can make you basicaly win even if they rush all gens the build like this will stall the survivors from progressing on gens and then gives you one more minute to get hook and then you can even get one more minute or even kill whole team by blocking them in and letting the endgame timer to run out.

Other thing is there can be multiple of perks on survivor side that are strong and get dissabled in endgame like OTR,DS but killer is still one against 4 so his perks logicaly has to be powerfull because DBD is lot about perks if prks has small effects and game wasnt build around them then I would get it but thats not the case in this game, having certain perks depends a lot and it changes the outcome of the game compleatly.

  • @cogsturning said:

People who hard tunnel at 5 gens go into the lobby intending to do so. They just won't bring pain res if this happens, and many probably already don't. The scope of this would be far too small to have any effect.

Pretty much its same as bringing medkit or flashlight, no one is bringing it to the match as random pick but they bring it because they intend to use it so Idk what these people think if killer wants to tunnel hardcore at 5 gens he will do it always because he is alredy decided before the match even starts to do it (different thing is if killer goes for one survivor straight when 3 gens are done before he can get hook, it happens and I get he just says srew this I go for this one because he doesnt care at this point).

The same can apply for Killer, too.  If one person is dead at five gens, it makes escape almost impossible.

That can be said when killer gets first hook when 3 gens are already done (one bad chase and 3 people that went for gen each from the start) its mostly gg if he doesnt gain preasure immediately and kills one survivor before last one is done.
