How is that hypocritical? That's like saying it's hypocritical to defend a slug when only one survivor is standing; of course it's the smartest move. I never said killers are bad for tunneling; my point is that survivors are playing the game as designed, while tunneling is taking a shortcut. It can be effective in certain situations, I agree, but that doesn't make it equivalent to skillful gameplay.
That's all I have to say, and I’m done discussing this topic. Have a nice day or happy Thanksgiving if you celebrate.
For killer the goal is to kill survivors there wasnt anywhere stated how he must achive this if it was the unwanted way devs would fix it or made it impossible or super hard punished like by loosing two gens already (same we can see on face camping where devs didnt want for killer to sit infront of hooked survivor so they put the anticamp meter there to make this option of getting kills almost unplayable if tunneling was same unwanted problem in devs eyes the same would be done with it alredy few years ago).
Survivors goal is to do gens and open gates to escape, killers is to kill survivors and option to go after same survivor is still there (if devs didnt want it then the unhooked survivor would be immune to all damage for some time until he does some conspicious action or his time runs out but this isnt the case), so tunneling is still option I too dislike the Hardcaore tunneling which is in my opinion going straight for one survivor three times in the row ignoring others (I understand it if you would chase one guy and then you were on last gen or last two then I kinda understand it its most valid option but doing it from the start thats not much nice but I cant denny its effective).
Thanks, and nice Thanksgiving to you.

We already have a number of perks that disable in endgame (like DS, OTR, etc…), so yes, Survivors are already punished for doing well.
These perks are dissabled in endgame for one reason, they would make getting last kill almost impossible if survivors play good which isnt fair because even devs stated at this point there isnt much what can killer do so that why they are dissabled smae would go for gen regression if it would effect gate progress in endgame but it doesnt these perks are dead when all gens are poped.

So ur telling players to not encourage other players how to improve in a game that involves around Looping. Looping is the Counter to Tunneling because Tunneling only works on the less skilled players who dont know how to loop.
Tunneling Also helps with Learning Tunneling because of the engagement with the Killer. The more encouragement you have with each Killer the more skillful you can get.
It maybe annoying but its from experience as a Killer main that Looping works better than you think
Good loopers or survivors that know where is strong position for them and run there (shack, main building) are way less tunneled by experienced players because they know fallowing this survivor and spending limited time on him is best way how to get gen rushed.
Sometimes killer is forced to tunnel right like two hours ago I had game as springtrap where one feng was following me and sabboing hooks problem was the other two survivors went into corners to get downed and there is like 1 hook in 32-40 meter radius from next so in short this means she would made me loose some hooks stages that I needed for progressing in my objective and for pop so I had to tunnel her (it wasnt pure hardcore tunnel hooking her three times in the row but two times it was) so in short I downed two survivors that I couldnt hook because of this then I went for feng because I knew getting her out will solve most of my problems, hooked feng and then other girl twogens were done and third was on the way so then they groped for heal and I choose feng that was already healty (she bodyblock or tried for it annyway which is another nice way how to force killer attention on you, just bodyblock when its needed and not all times where you dont need to because it can cost you a lot more then if you didnt) and tunneled her out and the game was won but they nearly done last gen, if I had huntress instead of springtrap the it would be gg by this time because having no mobility would be huge difference here.
Sometimes killer must slug and tunnel especialy if survivors are moking hooking harder to nearly impossible (sabbo, going under pallets, flashlight saves etc.) then sluging and tunneling the problematic ones (if the sabbo guy is good but there isnt full team doing it then its better to focus on him or flashlight saver if you have problem with them but can you down then, if you cant down them then injure them and focus on more easy to get in chase survivors its simple and effective for these kind of situations).
But ofcourse the never tunneling knights here that are never tunneling and getting 12 hook 4k games will tell me how to do it against good survivors with mediocre and weaker killers. I had many games where I didnt need to tunnel and I didnt but it was in 99% against survivors that were worse than me and it was easy to spot it that they are knida below skill and experience of survivors that are on my or abaowe my level (the ones I get most of times and I cant be treating them as gentleman because they doesnt play easy for me to make it fair game, they go for win and Im doing the same if they pull more hardcore strats against me from start then Im doing the same its logical).

Comp players aren't a good justification in my opinion. If they're playing for win streaks or tournaments, of course they'll always choose the safest option. Tunneling and doing gens aren't comparable. If a gen is at 97%, grouping on it is the smartest move, especially when it's the last one left. Time is against them, the killer has no reason to leave, and regression perks can drag the match out even more. That's simply playing the objective. Claiming you can't win without tunneling just admits you'd rather skip the parts of the killer role that demand awareness and adaptation to RNG.
Survivors aren't perfect. Their mistakes can take the whole team down. It's not impossible to win while playing fairly.Quite hypocritical arent you? Now you just deffending smartest move survivors can do in some situation but then you call killers bad if they tunnel in certain situation its same as with the gen its best what that killer can do and easiest plust most logical solution so Im not deffending hardcore tunneling from the start (going for the same survivor until he is dead and ignoring others) but tunneling has its own place in certain situation too as gen rushing or groping the most progressed gen, when killer has few options and best one that is right infront of him is go for the same survivor then its clear he will most likely do it.
Its just logical not skiless.

Could potentially be your mmr. If it's high you're gonna see a lot more of the top tier killers since the bad killers generally aren't reaching there. Also rng is rng, sometimes we just get random odds of this or that, might just need a larger sample size.
Other thing on high mmr is that the weaker killers cant be played here much only with best perks and addons and they still barely get two kills most of times thats why there isnt any killer variety.

I see lots of varierty consistently. My last survivor session:

Two Legions and two Deathslingers was a surprise, I must say. And yeah, two SMs in one day, which is more than I've seen in probably 300 matches. Not saying it went great for them, but they were present.
Tbh I have seen far more twins players than hags which is interesting and Im starting to believe hag is the least picked killer in the game (twins have more action gameplay with more chase than just being like orbweaver that is just keep repearing and setting his net).

I think a more apporaite wording for your post would be centrist rather then feminist with points you are making
I admit the title is more for attention purpose.
But centrist is more fitting what I meant (I would say its quite esier to understand it from text is treating both sides equal).

Just for attention what I meaned is more they seems to be equal for both sides (killers and survviors but if we want to run to detail both sides have both genders so they kinda are) the point here is before they nerfed killers especialy weakest ones that doesnt have tools to deal with pallets and now they did same to survivors with nerfing loops (its horrible change both of them but I believe in fact its equal treatment).
Tbh Im kinda surprised no one deleted this post but I believe I have seen in past 6 months more post that refered to devs way more insulting way (I dont think this is insulting much but if some dev have problem with it Im sorry for calling you feminist).

You're describing exactly why tunneling is a shortcut. Calling it optimal is just a nicer way of admitting it replaces real decision making. Actual pressure comes from the killer knowing which gens they can patrol to avoid losing a 3 gen scenario, keeping survivors injured, paying attention to their positions and predicting their next move. This role is hard, but that's exactly what separates skilled killers from the rest.
I wouldnt call it "separating skilled killers from rest" because you have one big issue here the one of best killer players from whole DBD through the world are comp players so why they tunnel, its because its strat that works and DBD has huge rng where many things depends like map, perks, items, addons, killer (which one ghost or blight its huge difference one can go for 12 hook game and other will be glad if he gets even 2k), many things are unknown so makroplay is hard and its not always possible option if you want to have chance for win so its not always possible to win without tunneling thats like saying "skilled survivors doesnt repair gen with two or three survivors on it but only one" but logicaly when there is less gens and some needs to be done fast before killer comes there and regreses it they will group up on the gen to do it faster its logical and most effective and easiest solution solving and countering many problems same as tunneling.

It certainly can’t be that some of us play a pretty even 50:50 split of survivor and killer and have first hand experience of how easy it is to 4K as a killer and how much effort escaping in solo queue takes in the vast majority of games now could it?
Where are you taking so many 4k or are you new "Hatch King" because 4k is rare you either have to slug or run perk like no way out and find hatch but its still huge rng in normaly played game without sweating fo 4k to achive 4k.
Escaping in soloq well that all that depends on your team and if you are last there are some possibilities too like hatch.gates or parley where you can bargin your escape with the killer (for item and some humility mostly but its escape with 7K bloodpoints for some green medkit mostly so why not).

I dont think something so big wouldnt be nowhere mentioned.

The way I see it, tunneling works because it lets the killer skip the parts of the game that require actual map pressure. It's a shortcut, not gen pressure. When I faced Nurse and Blight that forced me out at 5 gens, it just shows they don't want to interact with the game flow, just secure their win from the start. So when people say learn to loop, it's not fair. They should learn better too.
Its most effective because its pulling people from gens the most look one is hooked, one chased so one can do gens and fourth survivor has to go and rescue thats the normal stabilized situation in the trial but if one survivor dies fast like in two gens so three remain and then this is cahnged by one is cahsed and then hooked, another is chased and then last has to go for save but whos doing gens??? a ghost??? The answer is in that time before they save and reset (heal) if the killer hasnt suceeded in wining the chase and downing the chased survivor they can then do gens but if killer has already hook or is going to hook then survivors are put under constant preasure and they cant do their objective (gens) much so its easier for killer and it gives him huge chancce to get 3 kills which is win condition (4 kills arent because of hatch and then gates rng plus perks like noway out or items like keys that help to open the hatch as otion so 4 kills arent guarantee and are rare win condition).
Tunneling is the most optimal way for the win because spreading hooks gives survivors more time in the trial which means there is always someone doing gens and thus kill has to do even better than them to achive win as 3 kills because gens are being done fast compare to tunneling otion where gens after tunnel (one survivor killed asap) killer has more room to cause preasure on survivors and win.
-
@Reinami said:
The point to that is tunneling is far less effective if the survivor can actually loop. It takes too long to down someone when they are constantly aware. Generally the killer needs to rely on getting the drop on a stationary survivor doing a gen, or healing, or other thing to land a quick first hit. But if y ou are just chasing them constantly they are able to run you for a long time.
Yeah, you might still die, but the killer throws the match to get that 1 kill.
You are right, if killer tunnels its mostly survivor that is normal or mostly easie to get because its fast kill and most preasure in shortes time that doesnt kill killers momentum and increases his chance on win but when survivor is great looper than the tunnel is mostly just loose for killer so technicaly the harder the tunneled survivor can stay alive and hold killer on him so his teammates can push through gens the less tunneling effective is.

Something that both kill streak and escape records have in common is that they shouldn't be possible in a healthy game. More specifically, they shouldn't be possible at the extremes they have reached, as it shows a serious lack of agency in the opposing side in those scenarios. The fact that both can exist at the extremes that they can only serves to dissolve the confidence of players in the integrity of the game, and lead them toward focusing on pre-emptive advantages rather than adaptive gameplay. Its why gen rushing counters tunneling, while tunneling counters gen rushing.
Funnyest thing is people still complain about these streaks to show how one role is busted. Well problem is these streaks are done …. with strongest characters, addons, items each side offers so no wonder killers streaks are high on blight, nurse and on survivor its 4man no wonder but can someone tell me where is that 500 wins streak on trapper or ghostface? I bet they dont even exist because chance of them existing are pretty small because all it takes is one good team to break them compare to teams that break these s-tier killers streaks and 4 man swf wins so calling one side busted because it has op things is qute lame. Some streaks are possible in every game but not to such numbers with normal things so I doubt there is duo win streak with 500+ escapes or dreadge winstreak with same nuber.

Like 2000 something?
What streak you mean?
If its blights momos 2k winstreak then dont forget its from time where blight had most busted addons (addon that made him break pallets with just rushing into them with one rush and slowing survivors around with hinder - compound 33, addon that let him get all 5 rushes when he just hit survivor with one rush - alchemyst ring or addons that tunned down his turn rate little but gave him 8 rushes and bs addons like that not to mention his odl speed addons I belive were giving him more speed than they do now, he had hug tech strongest hug tech any killer had in this game even weskers, demos, draculas were or are if they still exist joke compare to that what blight had, weaker loops where his power is super hard to use because survivor can run behind struckture back then would be just outplayed with his hug tech in 2 rushes and best thing survivor could do was just camp pallet and drop) so if mean this winstreak yeah its nothing crazy that second strongest killer in the game when he was in his prime/strongest form he ever been in the game could achive this.

I have mained Spirit since the day released back in 2018 so I’ve been through all the busted phases (I’m so punny) she’s gone through and all the bugs and changes she’s gotten.
Playing her isn’t only “have a good headset”. Just because you can hear the survivor doesn’t mean you’re 100% going to catch them and down them. You will screw up some phases just like even the best Nurse players will whiff blinks and same with Blight players missing rushes. Plus with all the audio bugs, you never know how she’s gonna feel to play with each new patch. You’re fighting with audio more than actually enjoying the match. Footsteps are always messed up (killer footsteps are super loud right now) and the spacial audio is terrible above 95° FOV. Sometimes a survivor doubles back and they still sound in front of you like 1.5 seconds after they double backed.
I really don’t think long cooldowns should be a thing unless the killer has an extremely busted power. Even lately the cooldowns have been super short. Houndmaster and Krasue both have a 3 second cooldown and Ghoul and Springtrap I believe have between a 6 and 8 second cooldown and even new Myers has a 4 second cooldown. I just think Spirit needs some number tweaks due to her being so old and a relic of her time.Even Dracula has shorter cooldowns despite almost completely power creeping Spirit.
And ease of use should not dictate how long or short a cooldown is because even though Spirit is easier mechanically than Blight or Nurse, I can guarantee you that anyone who is worth their salt on Blight or Nurse is on cruise control throughout the match and it’s like second nature and it’s no longer a challenge. They are hard to get into but the easiest thing once you get really good with them.
Personally I don’t believe she should have such a long cooldown when so many other killers have 4x shorter cooldowns and Blight is allowed to have so many oppressive abilities at his disposal. No I don’t think her cooldown should be below 10 seconds but anywhere between 10-12 would be better than it is now.
The 10-12 seconds cooldown is ok I think, chucky has now like 12 (still easier power to use but more easy to predict and counter by corners, he has only benefit in his model being short, having smaller body hitbox so he hugs loops tighter lus third camera). Fact is 110 speed killers should have strong powers because they lact the 5% speed to help then in loops which normal speed killers doesnt suffer from that much.
I just think Spirit needs some number tweaks due to her being so old and a relic of her time.Even Dracula has shorter cooldowns despite almost completely power creeping Spirit.Houndmaster has like 5 seconds but thing is she is easy to doge (miss with) more than spirit and not to mention she would be good killer but her bugs that hit you every game at some point are huge deal (reason I refuse to play her, loosing my dog because he gets stuck somewhere and fixing it by downning a survivor and picking him up is terrible at that point I can play oni instead because his power is earned but mostly it works and does something instead buging out).
Krasue you mean the infection? she has small cooldown but her infection isnt her whole point (her infection only allows her to injure survivors in head form and they must eat shrooms to not get broken in like 1 minutes or two so her cooldown on this isnt so huge deal) its head form.
Springtrap has 7 seconds cooldown for his axe, 8 seconds it takes for survivor to remove it from his back and he can recall it after 7 seconds but his power is more like one shot more antiloop hatchet and then he is m1 so ne isnt that strong as spirit, he wasnt even with his best addons that got nerfed he is just mid killer (b-tier).
Ghoul has 8 I think but his busted bs is now enraged vault tbh it slows you more than it should so they should do few things (my opinion) get rid of deep wound, deep wound will only be applyed when he hits with leap injured survivor not healty (he doesnt eed it that much as slinger or legion), his vault when he is enraged (when he hits survivor who is vaulting or behind pallet/window) I believe slows survivors more than it shoul (its not as busted as kidnap tech but its still not nneded) so this should be fixed so he only vaults faster not slows survivor and time window when he has his power up and cancels it (not when he is mid leap but when survivor camps pallet and if he runs he cancels his power and m1 you or you drop and he vaults and m1 you so this isnt so brain dead and strong, he still should have faster vault than wesker).
Mayers has 4 seconds but he has to stalk you to get his power and its still easier to react to or predict it than spirit so he isnt that huge deal.
Dracula has multiple abilities, his hellfire has smaller cooldown but its easier to doge its almost same in speed as pyramidheads m2 and you can doge this even when you are close to it when killer release it. He is still strong bucase he has almost everything but he isnt that easy dog is easy to doge in open areas with his second dash which is used for hit more because first is used for getting closer for hit and he requires still some skill (hitting hellfire requires almost same precision than pyramidhead but its easier than pyramidheads m2 due to its normal camera turn rate, dog has short dashes and are harder to hit from thrid persons viev which opens your viev but makes hitting flicks actualy harder compare to wesker first person camera where you have less things on your screen and can focus more on your aim plus bigger time window between dashes). Bat form people tend to compare to spirit and call it better well its better only for mobility through being able to fly above droped pallets and windows plus mostly teleport that can help you to get across the map or multiple floors but getting close to survivor with it is actualy harder than spirit because of sounds are super hard to hear through bats and its easir to juke with double backing.

Have you ever played base-kit Spirit? It’s painful without add-ons.
Most Spirit players (including myself) play her with Rusty Flute which brings her cooldown to about 10.5 seconds. Swapping her cooldown with Blight would just make Rusty Flute base-kit which every Spirit runs anyways.
She’s pretty reliant on a cooldown add-on to keep up with other strong killers and she’s punished with a longer cooldown than both Nurse and Blight despite having a weaker power. No reason Blight should have a shorter cooldown while having faster movement speed in both his power AND base-kit movement speed and can break pallets with his power.
This would just make Spirit less reliant on an add-on to keep up pressure that other stronger killers already have without the use of an add-on
Maybe some lowering of her cooldown is possible but I dont think less than 10 (with addons) would be good idea thing is spirit is still top tier killer (in top 10 killers and she only isnt higher because of her nerfs through history when she came up she was first killer who just could and even did rival the nurse), she creates 50/50 situations probably the most out of all killers (if we dont call nurse where all depends when her user ends up) so I would get 12,11 seconds cooldown basekit maybe 10 if there would be no addon that would lower it (her power in comparison is still easier to use than blights and even its harder that chuckys imagine what would 8 seconds cooldown spirit do, player that has good headset with ears can be super deadly with her so it would be even busted to go against her than 10 seconds old chucky in hands of competant players).
I dont play spirit much because the sounds in DBD seems to changes through years, less grass etc. things than gave people that fucused more info back then now arent there (footsteps seems quiter not to mention i dont remember back in 2017 hearing more louder killers footsteps than survivors) but I actualy play her addonless ad she is still good killer all you have to do is predict where is survivor going and hear/spot where he is when he double backs and you will get hit or very close to survivor often, So no spirit isnt weak killer than needs that much of help (maybe few seconds from her cooldown to make it like 12 from 15 but thats it I dont think if bhvr will give her 10 they will still keep the adddon with same effect but will only make it unusable or her 9 seconds cooldown with it, they kind of miss sometimes when it comes to balancing addons they mostly just nerf it to be unusable or make it op) her power is still easy to use only thing that makes it hard is survivors that know how to play against it and fact you need good headset with good hearing but thats pretty all requirements for spirit to be good with her (if we dont include experience with some techs or more deep mind games like the one when is basement in the shack when you mess with survivors audio) which compare to blight he is harder to use he is busted yes but still he is one of hardest mechanical killers in the game which spirit isnt if you hear survivor then he is kinda done against her. unless spirit has poor tracking, hearing or survivor has some perks to counter her like iron will or OTR.

I'm literally on the game right now in customs looking at all the maps that got changed and have barely came across a 100% unsafe filler loop. Most survivors don't know the good side of loops. There is clearly a bad side of a filler loop and a good side to a filler loop. Run around the good side of the loop. If you get mindgamed and out played at a filler loop then it just happens. Try again and get better.
Pretty much whole point of filer loops just one side is good and survivor should stick to it, the other is weaker and more favors killer so mind game is possibility. Other important thing is knowing when to drop the pallet some predrop when killer is behind them so smart killer will just walk around weaker side and get you so is very important to read your oponents intentions like if he will swing through or respect it etc..

Yeah, sure, I don't judge on player only by character he picked, I just see the pattern and judge on what I see the most. Otherwise I would be leaving every lobby with them.
Kates are also here. I swear before Sable and Mikaela release all these players were Kates.True I got these kates now in 2v8 they were the ones that were closest when I was hitting second stage on first cage and they just rather did gen that was even 60% and more or they were the ones they played for hatch when 3-4 people were dead on 2 gens left its just not the character but people with same patter of behaving and thinking seems to play these characters the most and thats why community juges them based on their actions.
-
Sable is meg 2.0 its always meg or sable when bad things happen like some sandbag or letting someone on hook to hit second stage or die, play for hatch on 2 gens left when there are 3 survivors alive etc. its always them.
Many sables are just flashlight savers (that miss the save) and want only killers atention which leads to make then either dead fast or player who is doing bs things instead pushing his team forward to victory so no hate just chilling reality we live in.
-
I dont see it as often as before pallet update but who needs it anyway when you have almost on every map 10 meters one pallet from each other or window so only bad looper cant find anything to loop killer (or your teammates prodrop so hard that combinating this with their genphobia will lead to no pallets, many dead zones and many undone gens).

Vigil still is strong perk and it deastroyes exposed perks especialy ghostface or any killer with hunder status not to mention no one (there are few exeptions) runs vigil without sprintburst.

I mean, she has directional audio clues when she phases…
Obviously this is not great, as some people are hard of hearing and others dont have great head sets, if head sets at all, but its better than saying "you can only guess".
I prefer a spirit over a good nurse or blight, because I feel like I can actually do something and am not just reduced to a training dummy.
I just hate going against something that I cant see or react to (traps can be predicted but spirits pathing cant), her direction doesnt sound directional its more of how close she is to me (and me hearing isnt worse I still can hear survivors moving in grass behind me just thing is DBD is now less about sounds than it was back in its early years and many sounds just dont exixt or are buged, so Idk if spirits direction sound is only for me how close she is not the side she is coming from which is because of my new headphones or bug), I just like more blight or nurse they are easier to read and react to compare to spirit plus most toxic hardoce tunnelers I ever faced were spirit players for some unknown reason.

I just learned of something new and honestly it's crazy that i havent thought of it before. You can use the search command, launch the dog a little bit far but not specifically to a generator, and you can use the insane speed boost to catch up with survivors. You dont even need to launch the dog and land it. It's so disgusting how powerful this killer is. Try it yourself
Hit a survivor, then use the search command to catch up with them. Switch back to chase command when you're at a loop. She might actually have one of the strongest powers in the game.
I tryed it fw times but then I got game where i got 3 bugs (even loosing dog for minute) and then survivors run oposite side but its still good thing many people doesnt expect.

even at the top level i think bugmaster still is a far better killer than wesker. Wesker has his techs and houndmaster has the dog. The only counter i know of to the dog is camping the pallet. You can predrop against wesker too. But the dog is imo overall better because it’s got a shorter cooldown, you can curve it around los breakers, and if your aim is on point, you can get two taps like deathslinger but better. Plus, her mobility is just straight up also better.
She is better if survivor doesnt camp pallets which is now way more easy but the bugs, dog search doesnt work as it should especialy if you point on gens it doesnt register them, dog on search takes random longest path it can, her attach mode with dog is buggy dog gets stuck on random invisiable textures and even there is still bug where your dog doesnt return untill you make some action for me breaking pallet didnt helped I had to as pure m1 down survivor and pick to unbug it so she would better if her power worked but thats wet dream every houndmaster main wants. Dog is easy to doge it has same or even smaller hitbox then wesker and on rebound (second dash after first from dogs pov) there is short time window, slinger I would say has stronger antiloop (he had even better but now his redeemer gets stuck into inviciable textures where before he could hit you even through small gabs and holles) but she can still has more utility in for of being 115 speed and having some mobility plus stealth (if her dog is in search mode it has its lullaby but when she is in its lullaby range she has no terror radius how do I know that well I got burned on indoor maps with this so she has some stealth as freddy in his dreamworld he has lullaby too instead of normal tr) and second thing is her grabs against endurance survivors are shorter than slinger (unhook protection especialy) but when she grabs you with her dog she can even break pallet or kick a gen sometimes go for hit on other survivor who was next to you and return to hit you because dog is still holding you, she is better than slinger by having more things in her kit slinger is just 1v1 and thats all he has and she would be better than wesker if she wasnt more of a "master of bugs" than houndmaster.

• Lose four tokens on pallet break (Ghoul loses all but one token so Blight should lose all but one token)• Swap his cooldown with Spirit’s and make her cooldown 10 seconds and Blight’s 15 seconds.
• Another add-on pass
God no just dont buff spirit I know blight is way more busted but the thing is you can see him act spirit on the other hand you can only guess, such annoying killer to deal with i would just rather face nurse or blight, ghoul, larry than spirit.

Idk probably hi has ptsd from COH meta, some people just dont like certain things personaly I hate sabbo and flash squad I know they are mostly win but god how annoying they are, from boons I hate shadowstep on indoor maps because mostly I met this perk on swf with indoor map and let me tell you it makes your chase bad (you loose many survivors because they scratch marks arent visible, aura perks wont help you there too).

if we include addons and are just seeing this from a perspective of a sweat lord, the Plague clears them all. prayer tablet and iri seal is too much for people to handle. I can't play Plague rn though because Fearmonger is a staple for being a chess merchant.
why interact with survivors when they can come to you and interact themselves to death? Wesker has to, like, play Dbd and such.
Wesker is too fair with 4% hinder in this economy. that said, Wesker is probably the most well rounded pick. I just prefer to dabble in extremes.
I prefer cats.
Agreed plague is so carryed by her addons and the fact not many teams that lack the coordination wont have any advantage (dont forget her pools got buffed when they fixed killers power object spawn priority instead of chest with springtrap and this effected plagues pools making them closer to gens and not somewhere at the end corner across the whole map so she has less distance between her pools). Wesker is most well rounded but I still think many people overbuff him in their eyes he isnt that strong, not without egg and knowlage to be able to use his techs effectively to get around edges of loops you would normaly didnt (not even with eggs duration but only with hug tech to get in time to line your dash) or catch many survivors off guard (no one will expect wesker who is leaving you on loop to the just dash into it and instahug it to get you, especialy the first time it happens to you against that wesker), another thing is his infection was over nerfed with the hinder in my opinion (4% is joke compare to 8). Houndmaster would be probably strongest on average from these three but we cant know untill she is still bugmaster (the number of times your power doesnt work in the match where it depends is so huge), she would be good even maybe better than wesker (if we dont include his high end techs from his mains that can get even comp survs with them off guard) but her bugs just killer her potencial and its kinda sad, thats why only 10 killers play her.

The multiplier stayed and it only increases in speed when a Killer stays within the AFC if a killer just goes in and out of the range the multiplier never triggers
So in short it still got "nerfed" in favor of survivor we could say because the meter fills faster when killer is in range of AFC for some time?
-
@SoGo said:
I feel like we should have kept the range, and reverted the logic for it filling up.
Because that way, it won't harm you if you are just passing by.
Im confused what comes to life then, didnt they reduced size of anticamp to 16 meters (back to original from 20 meters) and made the bar fill faster then before 2x times or more on distances.
Still I dont think why someone is so fucused on camping, camping is woth only in few situations like knowing 2 survivors are near for save because of bbq or securing second stage because survivors left their teammate on hook and are going save last few seconds because they did gen or whatever action instead so you wait there to get trade or secure second stage for faster kill (non the less its survivors mistake to not going for save in 70 seconds unless its basement buba or trapper then I get it why they waited but in normal situation I dont get that, its risk and it has its consequences as all things, if I will tunnel one survivor from start but he is good looper and has full antitunnel build and his team rushes gens and help him to stall me and I loose its on me my mistake for me playing strategy but then failing to pull it off). Idk where are you getting all those campers with full gear (tents, fire and tea) to just stay there and watch you, I havent seen this from days facecamping was nerfed by anticamp meter and if I do its in few games because its set up/low mobility killer who is doing some stuf around the hook like kicking gen, breaking pallets etc. or he didnt found anyone so he came around hook to look for scratch marks or he came last seconds before I was reaching second stage to secure it (same as survivor running to almost finished highly progressed gen to get it done bofore killer kicks it and its progress is lost) so I dont realy know where you are finding so many campers personaly I deal with tunneling and slugging by 500% more than some proxycamping but Idk who you play against (dedicated basement buba since 2017 probably).

Yep, it's extreme.
This is to show that I'm in the brink of madness XD (seriously).
I just want to have a match where I face good survs that don't decrease it's time. Chase is the best part after all and with this bunch of crap they keep ending faster and faster.
If I'm beat I want to be by good survs that are not hiding and just fueling the gens with rocket fuel (and they T bag at the end as if they did something skillful).Problem is good survivors usualy have done 2 or 3 gens at the same time or by the time you get 2 downs and if you play weaker killer which I belive many survivors enjoy most to face then you loose 2-3 gens after first chase and then what, killer is harder at top level if you dont play or master stronger killers then the role is harder and good survivors are doing gens faster than bad ones because they have time and then they can slow down a bit if they want chase but they mostly rush it to the gates and leave so yeah "tunneling isnt always needed, only bad killers do it" is sentence only people that dont have much experience facing good teams with weaker killers can only say.
Why then comp killers that go for win and as many hooks and kills tunnel always then? because its easy and effective plus many survivors can beat this even the fact com survivors dont have all best perk each but they have perk restrictions (meaning only one can use ds and then others cant and simular with other perks and items are restricted too if all run styptic with dh and ds,unbreakable then even best blights and nurses would hardly 3k). Im for making some buffs to gen speed when killer gets first kill on less then 4-5 hooks but this should be dissabled once 1-2 gens are left and killers should get better bonus for unique hooks not some few points more and bloodlust that is useless (thats like giving survivor 5% speed to healing when they save someone from hook isnt it trash, I believe it is) and then make tunneling little harder now it will be by 5 seconds which bothers me in endgame with the 5 seconds of haste and endurance this will hurt more than giving them 20 seconds till gates are powered.

I agree with you 100%. I love going against Blight and I don’t find him to be OP in the least. Sure, there are some god-level Blights out there, but I rarely run into them. And you know what - good for them! If they have the skill to be that good with a tough killer to master, then hats off. Most Blights I have faced are very easy to dodge and mindgame. I don’t care if this is an unpopular opinion, but the complaints about Blight being OP are coming from players who simply don’t know how to play against him.
Blight is op he is just second strogest killer in the game and one of two s-tiers, tell me how many s-tiers we had in the game? Not much and he is easy to doge if the blight player isnt skill enough to understand how to flick and hit (mostly how his hitbox works that in short time at the start its huge that you can shoulder flick and that it gets smaller).
Blight is killer that didnt got any huge nerfs and still remained the same at the same spot in terms of power compare to other killers, his short cooldown on his power 10 seconds while being one of fastest chase powers (dash speeds are faster sometimes but they can be controled the same and blight is still faster while dashing than oni in his dash or billy when he is using his saw and I would argue blight still has more better cotrol over his dash than both of these strong killers still he has smaller one than oni but he has 5 off them and he has his power way often than oni does), compare blight to spirit both have strong powers but spirits still has 5 seconds longer cooldown and its weaker (easier to use but against good survivors I would say same difficulty) and she is 110 speed not 115 as blight so he is OP.
I think he should still be one of strongest killers but I hope he gets some change like the ghoul did with loosing tokens when he breaks pallet because he is better at this than ghoul or wesker and any other killer.

I can understand her, i mean i don't know any other Game which honestly gives you ''Free Wallhacks'' in form of Perks/Items + Addons. it should not be in a Game not any single one, as i also agree with the Person who said that there are far to many Aura Perks, which is also kinda not fun to play against. It takes out the Fun if i am being honest and it just upset's others.., this Game could be so much Fun.., but (I) think Aura Perks/Items + Addons destroy the whole ''Horror'' feeling.., Dead by Daylight just feels like a competitive Game now, because of all the Aura Readings we have and (I) really think this should not be. What about all the ''Casuals'' out there? does no one really care? BHVR certainly does not..
Aura perks are in the game since nurse came into it from 2017 but i get it and there is no need to remove them just make same as in 2v8 where you know you are being revealed but then what about perks that should reveal you like alien instinct where the whole point of that perk is to show the killer most further injured survivor and help him to sneak up on then then those perks shouldnt be revealed with aura effect or nowhere to hide same, nurses shoud be suprise perks but i dont think this will change soon.

I have some ideas that are even simpler.
If the first Survivor is hooked three times and killed, and no one else has been hooked yet, and four or five gens remain, the remaining Survivors gain 50% gen repair speed bonus. Apparently, Killers thought that BHVR's proposed systems robbed them of their player agency. With this, they can still tunnel freely without restriction, but they'd have to really think twice about doing it. And it certainly won't guarantee an escape for Survivors, because it's still much easier to keep three Survivors off gens than four.
For slugging, just grant basekit Soul Guard endurance. This way slugging is still doable in the right circumstances, the Survivors would still have to be coordinated to pick up the slugged person, but that person will have a few seconds to get to safety instead of getting downed again before their standing up animation completes.
It really doesn't have to be complicated.
Basekit sould guard is bad if it would stack with other effects like from we are gonna live forever or other endurance perks you can have swf going under pallets and abusing it then getting up in your face and having 15+ seconds of endurance quite bad to deal with against bully squads.
-
@DBD78 said:
Really Kindred without killers aura (would help SWF get stronger) should be basekit it will help us solo players. We have gotten lot's of good info but we need more since SWFs have gotten more perks etc that they can use better than solos so more buffs are needed for solo to lower the gap.
Swf gets info from everything any survivor sees or witness and calls it out to others so basicaly they have huge amonth of info plus they can coordinate strategies like for saves etc..

Hope so because he's much worse than Legion.
I've just mentioned this because OP included this crap into the "Maybe" tier.I still think he wont cause so many injures as legion because ghoul can actualy do something other than just injure survivors easily and thats all which means he can travel across the map and chase down survivors more and better than legion.

@tjt85 said:
Given the response Legion got, I don't think there are many more Killers that BHVR can add to the mode without the player base rioting again.
I think Unknown, Myers, Artist, Demogorgon, Vecna, Houndmaster and Bubba would be relatively uncontroversial additions. Curious why you think Demo and Bubba are unlikely. Is it because of licensing issues? Springtrap will probably be in eventually, but may take more work with his control room doors.
Krasue and Ghoul could easily be added without needing many buffs, but would they be welcomed? Probably not. Same goes for other easy to add Killers that have their haters (Plague, Trickster, Skull Merchant, Chucky, Doctor, Knight and Clown). I can't see Pig or Sadako ever being added. Having to return video tapes and remove head traps with another Killer on patrol will make mending from Legion's deep wound feel fun by comparison.
Like others have said, I think BHVR will prioritise licensed Killers so they can flog some more content. Same as when they added Legion with the Resi chapter to sell more Hunk skins. They can always remove them at a later date if they get a poor reception.
I dont think many get what legion did so let it call again, he basicaly injured majority of the survivor team and many survivors were injured the 50%-80% of the whole match doesnt sound bad so letts add the next thing that made legion so good of a staller who not only slowed teams with his increased need of healing but he mostly was played with other killers that are strong on their own and can have fast chase even without the help of a legion so nurse, blight, spirit, huntress, wesker (we are speaking here about killers 2v8 versions not the 1v4 so I hope no one will hate me calling huntress simular in getting hits as blight, nurse) then killers that can get first hit fast from stealth like wraith and even ghostface or any shadow class user and the helping killers like oni to get his power way more often and basicaly kepping him like more than half of the game in power without oni needing to hit survivors with his m1 to optain his power, lastly he helped even weaker killers like trapper or slinger to have faster chases by just needing to hit 1 m1 instead 2 which doesnt sound super good but its actualy good so legion was killer that could injured many survivors (near whole team after his nerf, his first 2v8 version could even injure whole survivor team if they werent across the map) in short period of time compare to even blight, nurse so yeah he was very strong tteammate almost for everyone like nemesis is probably secon maybe worst killer in 2v8 but what legion does to him? he makes his m2 (his whip, tenticle) more viable because now nemi just needs tier 2 to just decide destroy pallet and down injured survivors with m1 or hit them 2 times with his m2 compare to hitting them 2 times with m1 or 3 times with his m2 attack which is huge difference that is clearly seen in the match when you played nemesis with legion.
For me I didnt count it but fdrom what I seen as survivor there are less wins from killers now and I believe is mostly by legion missing plus having escapinst class to have now sprintburst (his power from class) on comand by pressing e just like old dead hard but its sprint now and you can use it even when you arent injured and ive this effect to other survivors. I havent met match where I would have to worry to be not able play guide, scout, medic class because lobby would be full of them but I saw 4 escapist in survivor lobby like 90% of my matches and when I tried it (because I need ded to done some challange from archives) it was like 50% chance to not be able to play as escapist class because lobby I was connected to was already full of them. I see way more survivors getting out and more draws then killers dominating matches and even if they play well they still hardly get 4-5 k so yeah legions missing from 2v8 had impact of the outcomes of my matches compare to previous 2v8 modes i would say.

@MoZo said:
i’m still shocked that unknown, doctor, knight and clown haven’t been added yet. all of their associated maps are in the 2v8 mode and it seemed that the devs were gonna add the killers and their respective maps as one since dead dawg came when deathslinger was added - same with spirit and family residence.
On the other hand doctor would be mid there as best but they would need to give him more addons like both iri basekit there plus the raange and both discipline addons to make him even solid mid killer there or he would end up as slinger, nemesis without this (basicaly same as 1v4 with few addons that arent even his best),bigger big shock range so he can spread his madness across the survivors easily with huge maps. He would be good with his antiloop on those long wall loops that are strong but against him arent that much but still he would have only chase not crazy mobility or slowdown because his madnes is just not slowing down survivors as mending or weskers infection or remowing trappers traps.
Knight I dont know how to make him viable in 2v8 because i doubt he could spawn 2 guards without one calling out other (I doubt it would worked its harder to do then adding dash killer with multiple dashes one more) so they would need to buff his guards massively to be able to make him playable in 2v8 where are 100 pallets that are strong and easy to loop with other tens of windows plus escapist class that gives sprintburst to everyone which are things that would burry knight alive in this mode so his guards would need to be buffed and hard buffed like assasin double chase time or 120 speed because his current one in 1v4 wont do much in 2v8 and get rid of 3x dissapearence of guard when knight is close to him while the guard is in chase.
Clown can be easily buffed by having cigar box basekit plus just speed buffs to his bottles (hinder to purple one) plus increased number of max bottles with slightly faster reload speed.

Just make it that you can see that your aura is revealed. Why? Easy if you remove all Aura reading hackers can still see your aura. But if the game tells you your aura is red permanently you are playing vs a cheater.
Probably you suggest to make it same as in 2v8 where you know your aura is revealed, this is not bad as some demand here to compleatly destroy aura perks but in reality they arent the strongest ones and even huntress or nurse with full aura reading build is nowhere near the same nurse or huntress with full slowdown build.

Definitely not useless, but it won't help much against hard tunneling, something in the middle
I see only 1 problem - endgame, otherwise this is a pretty good change, the survivor will have more time to run to the pallet / window / structureYeah in endgame more than 10 is busted but still better to have to deal with 15 seconds of endurence than 30 in endgame.

Doesn't work like that. Bad ping, regardless of who's side it's on, always favours the killer.
Not always but yes it does but some killer powers doesnt work better but worse such as bubbas chainsaw hitbox or nemesis whip is super slow and unusable but hard to explain this to someone who didnt get dedicated surver with these killers and had to take few games like this. Hight ping mostly buffs m1 attacks (and I know what Im talking about I just got hit by wraith over droped pallet when i stood 2 meters away from it and it felt terrible but normaly I dont see so many uganda warriors with 200+ ping).

”Just as bad as before” is still bad. You’re also ignoring the fact that devs want to make maps weaker for survivors again based on… wait for it… content creators outcry!
What maps they added pallets where they shouldnt and they werent even needed there like asylum maps or gas heaven so now instead keeping this huge nerf to m1 killers they will kepp all the pallets just make them bit weaker so they arent so many god pallets or chans of loops that are brain dead to loop as survivor because every way leads to window or pallet but hard to explain someone who is just pure us vs them and doesnt even play killers like merchant or ghostface against good survivors that are capable to be coordinated even when they are soloq.

Killers are more oppressive than ever with their perks. Just love when killers complain survivors are "hand held" just because you were beaten by a high mmr team.
Idk what perks you mean because all meta killer perks were nerfed past 3 last years pop, pain res, dms, ruin, corrupt, pentimento, dead lock, sloppy, aliens locker perk etc. so I wonder what perks are so overtuned now for you (hope its not same as calling springtrap by new ghoul which I guess was your first impression before you played him actualy and learned how mid he is compare to ghoul, dont worry I thought we will be stronger too but then his addons like foxys hook were nerfed and he got weaker than before).
The ptb changes are more hand holding for survivor than killer because they make survivor easier and killer harder especialy against competant survivors that know what they are doing.

Bugmaster obliterates that list if they fixed her bugs. It would be really funny if devs dont fix her bugs on purpose to keep her unpopular, because she is a solid A tier top 10 killer. You cannot loop her unless she misses and her mobility is decent.
She is low a-tier if her power worked as it should, she isnt that strong her dog is easy to doge because his hitbox is small and she has smaller time window compare to wesker plusy you can just camp pallet to wait and stun the dog even with killer, I still think she would be stronger on average than wesker or same but its realy hard to tell because all those bugs hide that (she was better before her nerfs but now she lost some power).

The bloodlust bonus was supposed to help the killer get to their next target, not help them during the next chase. Just like unhook protections go away once a survivor touches a gen, this bonus should deactivate once the killer engages their next objective.
Funny thing is its only good for killers like slinger who are slow and only use power when survivor is infront of them but killer like ghostface and many others will deactivate it when they use power, then breaking action deactivates it and getting into chase does it too so its only good on like slinger and then many pallets are worth breaking as clean up instead of keeping the bloodlust bonus after unique hook. So in short is some idea that just doesnt work in reality when its aplicated into live game.

You killers got your way as always and now the game stays lopsided for killers. I don't even want to hear it.
I dont think the game was always killer sided and even when it was its not one sided even comp tier level blights like mono with 2000 win streaks get destroyed by good comp survivor teams sometimes (not to mention these best survivor teams limit them selfs with perks and addons, if they all used best builds all of them without any restrictions then even comp blights and nurses would loose more than they usualy do), all depends on circumstances that are in match (usualy its more dicided which side will have it easier in the lobby but if you arent cheater then you cant know it because everyones kards are hidden).

Killer is too brainless and easy to 4k or 3k every match. So yes I play survivor because its much more challenging.
All depends who you play against thats it and especialy with what you play (perks, addons, items or killer) and where you play (like trapper will suck more on erie of crows more than on midwich) so it all depends, if you will play killer against 20+ thousands hours swf it wont be easy especialy if they are coordinated and know what they are doing or as killer against few hours survivors while having few thousands of hours so its not so easy for everyone same (someone playing mainly ghostface against very good survivors will have different experience than someone playing blight against those same or simular survivors). So in short this hasnt simple answer its all about many circumstances that determine this in the end.

There IS no counter. None. If killer proxycamps and decides to down you off hook there is zero counterplay. You are dead regardless of skill.
You can still fight it with good looping, if you die and killer doesnt get more kills then he still lost and now after current ptb hits live proxy camping wont be good strategy either unless you are basement bubba.
If you want to dont end up tunneled and killed fast just play safe and be hard to be found and most important hard to get if you loop very good and run into strong places like shach or main many experienced killers will reconsider the chase if there is better option and then even if you die you can still buy enough time for your teammates to get out so killer will still suffer the lost, you died but if 3 are out you won basicaly but I get many people tend to see survivor role as solo objective and not as team work that is needed for greater results, but I dont think this will make you reconsider your vision on what is win as your opinion on springtrap being just mediocre killer that can suck and not being new ghoul.
