I play friendly when I see that the survivors were screwed by the godly MMR brackets in this game. But most of the time I'll play as efficiently as the survivors are.
Same as a survivor, if I see that the game put me with a killer that shouldn't be in my MMR (wich is not that high as survivor btw) I'll play chill and do some totems, open chests, etc.

Funniest part is they usualy (if they are quite new and unexperienced by DBD standards) they dont even know what friendly killer is and run like scared gooses (they react kinda like bots to killers terror radius).

    She's still strong. A-tier, solidly.

She just isn't fun, she never was. She was just insanely overpowered, hence her pick rate cratering after she was brought down to earth.

She was never picked as other killers even the fact she was overpowered and new killer ghoul, springtrap and mayers were way more picked than her and now she is just low a-tier thats feels bad to play as compare to other killers (loops are shorter which hurt her compare to m1 killers that got buffed by this change because her main playing strategy is infect and then switch to head to get that fast down but thats no longer so fast as it was).

i think she is slightly overnerfed this doesn't mean that she is a bad killer. her kit is loaded with good abilities.

to me it's like the opposite of what you say regarding the nerfs.

i think the antiloop nerfs are fine, the autoaim removal is fine, but the biggest problem is the complete removal of mushroom on hook.

i guess the official reasoning is that it makes it harder to tunnel, but if krasue wants to tunnel you, she will still tunnel you just like any other killer. on top of that, someone else can bodyblock for the unhooked survivor.

there are similar power level or better killers with better tunneling potential. wesker with his double hit, houndmaster, phead, dracula, just name it.

this is because you need to use the mobility in the head form to get back to the hook, but you cannot actually hit them in head form, so you have to switch back to human form and by then they're already running.

honestly that's fine, but what's not fine is that if you try not to tunnel, the rescued survivor will literally try to get themselves tunneled because they're completely immune to your power off hook. this is stupid and should be changed.

right now it's like you're punished if you tunnel and you're punished if you don't tunnel. so your best option is to get a double ranged hit and infect both survivors, which requires camping, or you are incentivized to slug the survivors so that they keep the infection. »»her power design rewards camping and slugging but doesnt reward not tunneling. ««

she is most definitely a fun killer, and some killers will just be less popular for various reasons. there's depth and skill expression in her gameplay. i think she might be less popular due to the constant head/body form switching, it ruins momentum sometimes.

She is now worse than wesker due to loops being shorter so its super hard to line her head form attack, her slowdowns are kinda bad she is solid untill survivors start to bodyblock and then she is super slow now, head form mobility was nerfed its way longer on cooldown now as it was before so she is just bad when survviors know what to do, i would say not woth playing its better either pick twins or plague now than krasue because these two killers do some things way better than she (she is just combination of both kinda she has infection that causes broken but its worse and strong second mode for chase something as victor but way weaker against more survivors and in general).

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Classical Ragebait, but at least more honest than most Killer Mains who say that X is the reason they tunnel and if X gets changed, they say that Y is the reason they tunnel.

Maybe partly it is, but its his chice how he will play not yours like or not.

Other thing I like about your comment is the energy of being it pure "us vs them" comment, tunneling is strategy that devs want in the game (to some degree) if they didnt it would be somehow fixed like facecamping.

  • Saddly in this Im which is shame because if they did this before butchering of merchant by overnerfing her (even nerfing her) and nerfing gen kick regression perks like CoB,overcharge then I think it would solve the whole problem (then 3 gen spawn fix was thing too but regression limitation was deffinitely something that would fixed many issues and didnt created problems that they have to fix till today like reworking merchant because now she is unplayable).

I think I understand what you’re saying, but I feel it still doesn’t change the outcome. No matter why the situation starts, tunneling is a choice the killer makes. Flashlight saves or bodyblocks don’t force a killer to tunnel. The killer chooses to do so because often times it’s the choice that will give them more advantage.

Yes, sometimes tunneling can be a reaction to something. But claiming that most tunneling is reactive is where I disagree. Tunneling happens because it’s efficient, which is why if gens are popped too quickly, a killer will start to tunnel, because it’s more efficient than going for fresh hooks.

And if tunneling works because it’s efficient, then it doesn’t make sense to say players who tunnel wouldn’t do it when it is most efficient. Players who tunnel regularly do it at the very beginning, because that’s where they get the biggest payoff. And that has nothing to do with survivor mistakes at all.

Tunneling is choice that killer initiates either when he wants to or is given a opportunity that begs for it (meaning if you put your wallet in real world on chair in train and go to toialet and your wallet is gone when you come back its your fault too isnt it? ofcourse the fault part falls more to thiev who decided he will take it but you made it easy for him to take it, you gave him a opportunity to steal it with no issues unlike if he had to pickpocket your so its your fault kinda too, this is exsample in defferent maner but key thing is the way is same if survvior who is unhooked and injured runs into killer who is chasing healty guy and gives him opportunity to go for faster and easier chase that is way more benefical for killer objective isnt it survivors fault to?? or taking bodyblock after someone unhooks the survivor and killer wants to go after him then you just making your tunneling easier and more tempting then it would normaly be if you run away).

Flashlight may be reason someone tunnels because if killer has hard time getting downs and hooks are dennyed from him by flashlight saves while gens fly he will might focus his full attention on the flashlighter who is causing him problems (100 people have 100 reasons and goals so its if you do something to someone lets say guy 1 he might be ok and still go after the same survivor but guy 2 can see it different and will go full on the survivor with flashlight, there is always some reason and same with bodyblocks or sabbo if you know someone is problem and causing you more trobles than you would normaly have then you might think eliminating that problem first helps you for future).

Pretty much, tunneling doesnt have just one reasom it happens its mostly due to gens being done fast and killer has dew hooks so he knows getting kill and one pair of hands from gens is right play for him to get more time and chance for win (its effective strategy that has benefits compare to just hooking new survivor after each chase), other reasons can be like doing something killer doesnt like (people get mad on things that maybe doesnt make sence to us but for them its valid, like if someone goes turbo tunnel for survivor who is playing with flkashlight and got save we might think he is mean and insecure but he might got some bully squads before and had enought of flashlights or swf teams that were toxic we downt know why he does it but there might be reason that we can see because "we arent in his shoes"). The fact that its more effective than sluging or fresh hooks and camping is because it reduces gen speed the most from all other options its just one survivor less on gens while someone is chased, hooked, has to heal or deal with hex perk like devour etc., thats why unique hooks were in last ptb worthless because if you want people to tunnel less you have to give them reason (same if you want people in city to travel more with public transport instead of cars so there arent traffic columns you have to give them some solid reason for doing it).

And if tunneling works because it’s efficient, then it doesn’t make sense to say players who tunnelwouldn’t do it when it is most efficient. Players who tunnel regularly do it at the very beginning, because that’s where they get the biggest payoff. And that has nothing to do with survivor mistakes at all.

Some players may tunnel from the start because its most effective way and they want to but then other thing is what is survivors stand as answer if killer cant kill that survivor fast enough and whole game is just kill one guy mission then he will might reconsider that playstyle but its players choice how he plays. So in short if that blight knew he will just tunnel one out asap before the two gens even poped and he was decided in the lobby then there is nothing changing that and its not survivors mistake (they can have some like when they make it easier for him but its still mostly his part while tunneling is there).

This still isnt the majority of tunneling I would say maybe the half because Im getting lot of bodyblockers lately and they kinda dont seem to understand that even with ds they make it for me chasing them way more benefical than going for healty guy (mostly if I didnt have very hard time getting them down in chase) so remowing their protection for extending my time on the survivor i want to chase and making them one shot down or easy slug is their free choice and as every decision it has its benefits and risk like all things in real life even the fact its the game its still there so things like bodyblocks after unhook are their fault because they decided to do so, different thing is when killer goes right after them but it still can be their teammates fault for saving them into killers face or when killer was near doing some stull like kicking gen, breaking pallets or walls, setting traps etc. its just all on circumstances and the pure he tunnels because he wants to narrative isnt just true for 100% as I mention above with wallet exsample or now with bodyblock its just action and reaction things we live in nothing more.

Ya I had one once where I couldn't even hook the person. It would not let me because it was turned too much into the wall.

It was on blood moon 2025 and after it on second floor above office on rpd but even today Im getting realy bad angled hooks and what I see more are places where is like 30-40 meter radius where isnt any hook in so its just unhookable zone especialy on indoor maps.

Blight’s turnrate is hard capped in the game and has been for a very long time. Also you do not even need a DPI switcher to pull off flicks, granted they are not as free as new Oni but still don’t even need that high of a sensitivity.

Oni is so easy to flick 180 now that getting that hit with 180 flick is actualy harder because of how sensitive it is but I get why they did that he is realy bad on console and without K+M he couldnt flick so console players or just people playing on controllers were hindered while playing him not to mention oni has easy counterplay and very limited power so he must get most from it (as many downs he can) if he doesnt then he is just m1 killer for the majority of the game that suffers dealing with predroping the most so he gets easily rushed in short.

  • Im starting to believe that there is in game rule when cheater buys a cosmetic then they are clean (or devs know that like 20% of player base are cheaters so they dont do anything with it).

Merchant was nerfed because players like me absolutely abused her ability to hold down a 3 gen for an hour or more. In hundreds of games I didnt come close to losing with merchant in this period. Im a killer main but id like to think I'm fair and that was wayyyyy broken.

Funny thing is later they released update that made gens unregressable after they are damaged for 8 times which fixed all issues like 3 gening, chess merchant or gen kick meta but devs do strategy of drunk man walking jus one step straight and two back repeat.
Merchant was overnerfed because many cryed how strong she is.

  • @tes said:

As person who use higher DPI myself but on Executioner I don’t find it cheating? Because as more you are used to the killer, more you playing just on default with max sensitivity within game settings.

If person constantly plays with changed DPI they are more likely harming themselves.

It’s not shaders, they aren’t providing advantage by default because player have to learn to adapt to specific sensitivity. This is as same as FOV users who push their settings on max.

Otherwise you can call crouchtech, CG tech, hugtech and flicks cheating simply because they are exist in the game. While they are being the only way to express some game sense because of primitive mechanics

Without high dpi on mause you cant flick on pyramidhead and turn so easily thats it (you can flick but its very small turn that doesnt give you that advantage but those 90 degree flicks or more when you go around the loop with your power and flick yeah thas something no one expects both killer and the survivor).

Everytime I play killer as Houndmaster which is A LOT. Instantly I just get Lery's…then hawkins, then back to lery's, then RPD…Does the game just want me to lose, do you want me to play killer? Haha

RPD I can handle a little more but its been CONSTANTLY Hawkins and Lery's. (Shattered Square a lot too)

Personaly I cant imagine your pain tolerance because every time I play houndmaster I get some bug that dissables my dog for some time both from attac command and search command, its super annoying (just image if your dash stoped in open are as wesker in half it would feel great).

Thats why I refuse to play her due to her bugs, without them she would be now well done killer slightly stronger than wesker but with skillfull power to use (and doge as counter) but she doesnt make as money as other killers so devs cant see her, what a shame.

most of my survivor matches are wins

So you mostly play SWF? Because I can't believe anyone can play soloQ and win consistently.

Some consider escape win on survivor (not the fact how many of survivors escaped or died) so if he counts escape as personal win hatch is a thing (and if you fail finding hatch first then you get two gates as option).

These anti every thing changes you mentioned got pushed back due to being poorly executed, not crying. They've given you 200 perks to combat tunneling and slugging! Pair just a couple of those with windows of opp and you can easily run "most" killers for 5 gens. If this isn't the case then simply get a little more experience so that you can loop for extended times. Blaming one side or the other for game changes is absurd, we've all witnessed completely baffling decisions made for this game that had nothing to do with cry or not cry.

Only thing that got nerfed hard because of crying was skullmerchant and it was probably biggest nerf in the history of DBD so Idk who thinks the antichanges dodnt went live because the side with less players cryed (devs dont listen minority but mojority mostly).

Downvote it to bottom but its fact that is well documented and one of biggest devs mistakes with things like making DBD free on epic games (giving cheaters thousands of accounts and making problem that is still huge today).

Look I'm not saying other people can't enjoy new Myers. I'm just saying that personally, for me, the changes removed everything about him that I enjoyed.

I'm sure a lot of the changes probably feel good in terms of killer player QOL. But for me as a survivor? It just made him boring as hell. He's now spectacularly generic for me to go against. When I load into a match and I see that it's a Myers now, I'm not excited, I'm not scared, I'm not tense. I'm mostly just annoyed because I know I'm going to get insta-downed with no decent audio or visual cue and Mori'd as a guarantee. Every game against him feels exactly the same.

As a lifelong horror fan and an academic who specialises in horror media, I'll die on this hill. The Myers rework was one more huge step for DBD AWAY from being a horror game.

DBD isnt horror for many years (its horror but soft except few brutal mories like true forms, krasue or larrys) and mayers like horror? For survivors with hours he was just guy staring at you and when he had tier 3 just jump into locker or hold a gen. For scratch mirrors jumpscares personaly survivors gave me biggest jumpscares since the games start like getting pallets stun ou of nowhere or 3 sables apear from 20 meters distance with flashlights when you pick up under pallet.

THANK YOU. I HATE THE GLOWING KNIFE THING.

Like on top of everything else in a chase you want me to be squinting to see whether or not his knife is glowing white? Especially when the 'glow' is basically invisible on certain cosmetics?

The glowing is just thing from devs which give to every killers action just some warning and some of them are there for no valid reason (cant wait for global sound cue warning when trapper sets a trap or merchant puts down drone after their rework).

I dont like the look of it too and if I remember corretly there is sound warning when mayers starts charging his slaughtering strike I think.

    Idk sounds soft to me.

See how it's entirely opinion based?

    The hard one spoked.

  • I have strange feeling they will just buff his traps and give him a dash attack and call it a rework.

  • Its buged since blood moon event because somehow it messed the hooks angle (back then some hooks were impossible to use but now its easy for bodyblocks by both sides, I have heard that blood pumps used to spawn locations of some hooks but if its true Idk but fact is something bad happened to spaghetti code in blood moon 2025 and its still out there till today and devs are just leaving it as it is).

  • Isnt it 15 seconds? Well this isnt anything new look at bugmaster (houndmaster) she is buged from her release and many bugs are the same ones and devs are playing dead like she doesnt exist no bugfixes for her but on bright side she is fun killer who is well balanced like wesker difference is that you cant have one geme where you arent hit by atleast one of her bugs (from my experience minimaly one time dog gets stuck and stops working for some time which is great thing).

  • @LilGhosty said:

This game has been taken over by cheaters.

And one downvote from iritated cheater, its been through years since game went for free on epic (worst thing devs did honestly and even worse is their plans for dealing with cheaters from their plans I havent seen something like that for long time there).

Devs could more focus on bugs and deal with cheaters more (like cheaters are super chill because they dont risk much and bugs well there are characters that are buged from their release till today like houndmaster but they are still ignored both bugs and cheaters and we argue more about killer hooking someone twice in the row which have been in game since it start).

  • @hermitkermit said:

Players tunnel because it’s easy. Even in the examples you gave, which skew a bit one way but are your personal opinion, the outcome is the same: tunneling. It happens whether a survivor “causes” it or not. A player who tunnels won’t stop just because they can’t pin it on someone being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Players do it because it’s easy and effective, not because it’s the other players fault.

Sometimes like 50% of tunneling is due to reasons like loosing two gens before one hook, survivor bodyblocking the killer with unhook protection or saving others with flashlight, background player from him or running around with sabbo and dennying hooks these are just reasons where survivors give killer a opportunity to tunnel its like you running with flashlight and seeing killer picking up someone face towards you will you let him have that down or would you take that opportunity and get save? I bet you would go for save like 90% of survivors (counting all that would just go for it even if they would fail it). Other things like moments where someone who was hooked wasnt healed and somehow gets near killer or his chased teammate leads killer to him than killer sees injured survivor and he is chasing someone who is in better location or healty than its easy choice (same as you would you do hard work in quarry for same money or take desk job in office for same money?? humans are lazy creatures like all others so they will pick the easiest and most beneficial option thats out there unless they chase other goals).

Tunneling isnt always killers fault same with survivor its not his fault either it could be killers choice from the start or once two gens poped and you were unhooked, it could be your teammate for not healing you and then someone lead killer towards your location or killer wondered around map and found you things like this happen, or you did something like bodyblocked with antitunnel protection and killer has standart for punishing that and not doing fool from himself so someone is always in fault it depends on situation and saying its all killers fault or survivors is extream for both, it all depends on situation its set in and the circumstances.

  • @Pulsar said:

No idea how people are losing with this update.

A lot of good fillers got obliterated and a lot of maps saw pallet counts plummet.

It has to be a skill issue, at some point. There's just no way.

Thats because in asia survivors even in soloq play for 100% efficiency (especialy for gens) and are hard to find and doesnt do altruistic bs that get more than half the team sluged on 4 gens thats why killers had always very hard times there and someone like doctor or wraith are considered top killers there (above wesker and hillbilly) because they can find survivors way easier, there are less safety compare to pallet density update but still there are enough safety for survivors to do gens if they play for time thats why even people that are very good in DBD in Eu or Na someone like Hens or some comp players have hard time against strong teams of Asian survivors more than comp Eu or Na teams they are used to go against.

  • @LilGhosty said:

What's the preferred gameplay in Asia region? Do they prefer chase, hide, bait or something else? I ask this because every continent seem to play games differently.

From what I remember they favor the playstyle we could call "ninja" which means they arent altruistic if they dont have to be but mostly they play safe and hide then jump on gens and do them super efficiently compare to Eu or Na which is something hard to deal with its like those games where you cant find no one for long time and gens you checked like 30-40 seconds ago (they werent even touched) are poping which is terrible feeling tbh and super unfun thats why favored killers in Asia are killers that have build in info or tracking like doctor, wraith arent at bottom to mid level in tier list but they are considered a-tier and above there compare to Eu, Na standarts and these survivors are there super good as soloq compare to Eu sables or megheads that run around doing totems and chests and trying to get save on killer that knows about them and then they go super fast down because they are bad in chase (something that doesnt happen there).

In short even worse team of survivors that are worse than killer can still win if they do gens fast and dont get 3 gened (because they do all gens from one spot to other fast and the last trio they left is mostly 3 gen or killer notices that and starts playing little more deffensive), if survivors do gens fast then killers tools for preasure are fast downs which is something not all killers are capable of due to their powers limitations and map rng, sluging which again is favored by killers power someone like billy, singularity, dracula can slug way betetr than wraith, trapper, slinger and last and most effective resort of killer getting presure back or having chance for 2k atleast is tunneling but its hard when saved survivor just dissapears and is nowhere to be found (like ninja) then even tunneling fails and gates are near and its mostly gg by then maybe one kill if you deffend it in endgame.

  • @MDRSan said:

Have killers gotten so used to maps spoon feeding them survivors by now that any time there's a map that doesn't blatantly do so it's some huge problem? Personally I don't mind Ormond Lake Mine as killer or survivor but I haven't played it since this last update. Given that 9.3 was another big gift to killers that nerfed pallets, buildings, and jungle gyms for survivors I sincerely doubt it was made more difficult for killer players if it was changed at all.

Wait until you get full 4 man with flashlight and then your only way how to get out of it without having your face full of light is just slugfest (slugging all or most to then get some hooks and focus on few to kick them out fastster), that map is super hard to go against something like this because its almost open area everywhere and as you mentioned many loops are short but low height to so unless you slug all its pretty hard game especialy if they do gens (because they have 8 hook stages before their final and 70 seconds on one yeah they can play little normaly to do huge gen progress on the start and then play more safe while someone is doing rest of the gens). Other good thing on this map is its super great for preruning so unless killer has great mobility he can controll as kaneki, billy, blight, wraith, dracula he will have hard time and traps can be seen easily on the bright ground both hags and trappers are super easy because 80% of the ground is pure white snow so its mostly good map for killers that have good mobility they can control (dreadge, sadako, springtrap have mobility but its locked to certain spots and that map is short so its not that usefull there unlike killers with good mobility they can control I mention above), other killers that are strong here are ones with good antiloop because of short loops and especialy low in height killers like clown, springtrap, nemi, xeno, hantress even dreadge can shine here and uotplay some weaker loops way faster than just pure m1 killers like trapper, merchant, adn stealth well its open and bright so unless you have ice skin on ghostface (this is probably one of two or three maps where this skin blends in) you wont have much utility drom stealth either because even buildings like main are great for spoting incoming danger and stealth wont help you there (ghostface has less objects to cover behind so his reveal is way easier), overall not worts map for killer but its not so enjoyable either and I wouldnt call it the killer heaven subzero as you hinting it.

That is beautiful. If you work on him more and learn how to make him tick. Hes a very good Killer with a skill curve.

I dont play hi moften because of just how punishing he is tbh thats why i favor other range killers more like huntress, slinger, springtrap or even pyramidhead they feel more rewarding for me even the fact that most of them dont have mobility, survivor effected by uvx panic more so going for m1 and being agressive works better for me and then use it for hit when they have smaller chance to doge it is better because one of many things that makes range killers lower in kill rate is missing hits and unknown is probably most punished killer when he is missing because survivors that dont respect you can run back at you and stare down the uvx (range for reveal is 25 meters so thats enoug to make sniping them with uvx very hard because they can doge it easily plus the 10 seconds timer you get like shot ot two unless its indoor map where you play more like me as m1 killer), I find even artist more easier to get hits with just one bird to swarm the survivor and then you can just spawn three others after few seconds and have more chance to secure the hit plus her crows are super good for making loops unsafe and zoning survivors if you know how to place them and she is way less slowed whe is she using her power.

As you said he is b-tier and fun killer but I hope they buff his uvx duration somehow and make his teleports less easier to be destroyed or more hidden (his last buff was extending uvx effect duration when injuring survivor with uvx but thats something he needed but less than making uvx harder to remove from first hit which is now still very easy and safe in open areas and maps thus making people call him harmless even the fact he was one of best bhvr original killers and his chapter was very liked both for him and mostly for sable because she is with feng most played survivor).

i do agree the UVX needs a buff. But what i see most Unknowns do is use it to aggressively. They rely on the UVX on the hole chase. when i used the UVX i do it when survivors least expect it. Like when there healing, Unhooking, Working on Gens, roaming and so on. I do a what i call a UVX hit and run. I learned dearing chase that i weaken them and I move away from the chase and find someone else or pressure Gens. So when I find them again I can hit them with it while Still weakened I can get a straight away Injure or down. You can do this with more then One Survivor to get multiple Weakened states.

I recommend doing this on maps with less tall tiles or on large maps. It helped me so much on Getting shorter Chases and managing Gens because they cant remove the UVX if they dont see you coming.

This is what I learned from understanding his power and Im making a Guide on him for thoughs who have trouble with him or who want to understand how he works.

For me its just going more for m1 hits and then fakes, I use uvx when its hard to doge like in narrow coridors or when they are locked in animations because in open areas or loong shots its super easy to doge due to its speed.

I literally showed you the math. If they just hold shift + w (no skill involved) you take at minimum 15 seconds to down them, which really should probably take a little bit longer even in the worst circumstances.

15 seconds is just chasing meg that is injured and runs into wall mostly fastest chases against survivor that know some looping is more like 20 to 30 seconds and thats 1/3 of the generator if we exclude perks and toolboxes which isnt bad then add perks like ds or dead hard, otr and chase can be almost one time longer which is enough time for gens and killer cant deffend all of them regression perks are way weaker then they were and strongest ones have pretty strict requirements like getting hook and kicking that gen (pop) or can be used only once for each survivors first hook (pain res) so if survivors are very good in holding killer in chase and doing gens spread wide across the map killer has very hard time to do something against it especialy m1 non mobility killer even the ghouls will sweat their shorts when they see fast gens.

His lock in place animation is same as weskers only difference is ghoul has better mobility but they both have 3 seconds animation I believe and survivor has full 3 seconds of 150% speed (sprintburst) from injury and killer starts moving after he finishes his animation so ghoul has just better catch up compare to wesker if we compare their damage animations from their powers (plus ghoul deep wounds).

Yes, but if you spend time tunneling that 1 survivor, the point is that you still have to catch them 6 times, even doing literally the bare minimum and just running in a straight line and using the endurance effect, 5 gens will get done before you get that 1st kill.

Right if killer isnt super strong and doesnt have fast chases with full meta gen deffence perks he has small chance for win against solid loopers that know counterplay against that killer and do gens effectively (like spreading on two or three hooks before killer can even founf someone and getting them around or even before first hook thats what in higher mmr happens often two gens are done already before killer gets first hook unless survivor missplays super bad or its weaker killer not someone like nurse, dracula, billy, ghoul, blight) then killer has only chance for two kills if survivors dont missplay and when they dont he can get just 1-2 kills but it depends who is he chasing if he commints to one or two same survivors or he spreads hooks thats very important to but thing is if survivors play very effectively on gens they can get them before killer has 6 or more hooks especialy against weaker killers even on maps like haddonfield that doesnt benefit survivors.

  • You mean ormond? its easy hold W+shift map tbh super easy to spot the killer and just prerun him and its super easy for flashlight saves because there are many open spaces so covering your screen is almost impossible.

Honestly i just know how to use his power and it took alot if time to learn him fully.

I learned to use his UVX when I can and learn to break the sight in some Loops to make the UVX last Longer. I know to hit the UVX and leave Chase so when I encounter that survivor again I can pop the UVX immediately dealing damage or Downing the Survivor.

His Hallucinations Are what I have my complains are most. Its way to easy to counter his Hallucinations and I would make it if there laying on the ground(not active) they cant be Dispelled and when its standing (Active) its able to be Dispelled. And remove the Arua and fear thing so Unknown can hide his Hallucinations better.

His UVX i say a damaging hit refills the UVX mark completely so hits are more rewarding.

Other than that. He is B tier for a reason.

For me his beggest flaws I met are first uvx duration which is 10 seconds (it should be like 12-14 honestly), second is compleatly unnecessary reveal linger 1,25 seconds (when survivor is looking at you and revealing you when he loose you for any time there is time window set at 1,25 seconds which are remowed from his uvx meter, devs justify it by reducing effectiveness of reveal when los is lost on the killer like when he hids behind tree for moment but it actualy stupid and not needed if getting from uvx effect after first hit is just 10 seconds and killers cooldown is 7 seconds with solid slowdown after his shot) and ladt thing are his teleports but what bothers me is how fast and easy is to remove then its very fast action with no skill checks and only risk is just from killer teleporting to them which is rare or letting go of m1 or getting interupted from it by killers m1 or injure from uvx but these are rare too.

ghoul is very strong even against very good comp survivors but you need to actually use more skill to outplay them. He’s not weak in pretty much any situation i can think of rn

Well he has easy injure and huge mobility so holding W+shift isnt option against him as agains all killer that cant counter it like pyramidhead, trapper, ghostface, slinger but then his vault now hinders survivors which is only usefull when distance between killer and survivor he wants to use the vault on is smallest as possible then he can get you fast but when he uses it from begger distance survivor still has enough distance to make it somewhere mostly, like you said he is strong but in chase mostly m1 killer who cant be preruned and can use his strong vault so less oppressive in chase than blight or singularity, dracula I would say but truth is ghoul is quite easy but he will get nerfed before blight or nurse 100%.

Dissolution should honestly be reworked it's not healthy for the game

Its easy to see it first killer has to take health state and then after 3 seconds (clean up time) it activates and has 20 seconds when some survivor vaults pallet with fast rushed vault then it breaks but thing is survivor can see it killer has it, imagine if killers could see on their screen down there that survivor they chase has dead hard or ds same as survivors see perks like dissolution or hexes. Its just perk good on few killers and some that can get easy hits dont even need it like nurse, blight.

Yea, nerfing blood points is mind boggling. Why the hell is there a cap now on how many times you save someone from hook in a match? There are so many good reasons why one particular survivor is doing the saving- and number one being because the other two non-hooked survivors are cowards or gen-focused. It’s 2025 going into 2026- players don’t “farm” unsafe hooks any more, so capping the BP for saves doesn’t make sense. If anything, we should be seeing MORE blood feasts and BP codes as the years progress. Look at the number of survivors and killers there are. I can only imagine how long it would take to prestige everyone to 100.

And like OP said, the BP for special events are terrible now. What the hell? Why? Playing killer barely got us anything for the Halloween and Masquerade events this year.

Its not blood points that bothers me that much (even truth is now with auto leveling you can use them more than spending like half of time of your play time in blood web like in old DBD) but the reduced number of shards each year is realy bad, looks like inflacion hit DBD to or devs want to lear kids what they dont learn in school.

I've been camped into second/death quite a bit since they implemented the new system. I'm not sure what benefit there was to changing it, unless it was meant to benefit the killer.

That being said, I think a lot people don't realize that if your teammates are nearby, the meter doesn't fill. I wish that was somehow made clearer.

Well they can see now thier teammate hook anticamp meter now so maybe if they do have some inteligence and look at hud every tens of seconds than they could kinda somehow figure it out, but thats wanting to much from soloq teammates now I see as killer more games where i get 3 survivors hooked and last one is nowhere until he has his gen done or fails skillcheck which is sick and survivors fault (the ones who is sitting on the gen and doesnt go for saves when he can) because gens are important but without yozur teammates that do them to and can heal you and their health states with yours are like meatshields to buy you more time for the gens so killer can murder you on the spot (like old mories or tombsone mayers), this is something many survivors doesnt bother to understand sometimes its better to take the chase when killer sees you and guy dead on hook (now its harder because killers can see it on the hud who has been hooked and how many times which is guarantee that killers use hud more than survivors even the fact they get less info from it than survivors) so its better to let him get you when you wasnt even hooked or once than let him knock out your teammate because having more hands for gens and other important things is more usefull than having no hooks I would say (you can win 3v1 with 2 gens left but you cant win 2v1 with 2 gens left unless the killer will let you do the gens).

  • worst is low audio after getting flashlight blind because before you could hear all around you but now there are some sounds muffled and you hear only flkashlight blind sound which is annoying more for me.

Not often you hear people say playing killer helped them deal with stress. I'm happy for you that it did.

On top of that he plays harmless which is realy interesting (for me one of most stressful killers out there because of how perfect you must be with your power and especialy accurate, every mistake of missing costs you way more than other range killers or killers with some projectile), but good for him if it helps.

I am in Germany and almost exclusively play in the evenings. My killer queue is usually a few seconds while my Survivor queue is multiple minutes.

Same survivor ques are fats in day time and killers are longer and then in evenings survivor ques reaches like killer ones in daytime even longer (because everyone plays with their friend/s so thats one of main reasons) and killer que is few minutes to even seconds and I had like few days ago two nights 1,5 blood points bonus on killer and I could do catastrophic doom post about how killers nubers are decreasing.

are u trolling? it didnt meant this specific scene, it means overall the bs hits u get in this game which legit exist.

So the bs stuns when survivor just runs through pallet but jumps into it like 1,5 meters from behind it and does drop animation, there are bs things on both sides one thing is hitboxes and ping plus bugs just like vault priority you can prerss it as fats as you want even if holding space would work then you cant still beat someone who has 20 less ms than you or even more thats just one of magic things that are bad or hitting invisiable wall with your chainsaw when you were just few inches from survivor or just breaking pallet with your power (blight, billy, bubba, mayers) when survivor is on it or right in start of vault of animation and his tibox should be still behind the pallet but the magic is strong here, or not getting vault with wesker from inside of shach window because you did it right after survivor vaulted and it pushes you to wall very funny indeed and there is more things like this but his short can be just the hinder+ haste thing and maybe little of ping because survivors hitbox behaves in some ways and animation of their body isnt where they are in reality (call it matrix or whatever but their body is just hitbox behind them so when they run you should aim on their but and not head this is something many huntress, slinger mains or any other range killer knows, thats why as trickster its better to spawn knifes more on legs which is compleaty different that in reality where legs are smal and bad as target but in DBD its legs and butts not heads and chests, when survivor is droping pallet his hitbox is in that pallet stuck so if she was hindered and clown was influenced with haste then this yould be possible same with survivor vaulting speed when they have haste they vault faster its just game thing that was there from the start and then add some ping difference like 20 ms vs 80-150 ms and you get even more mind breaking things like hatchets that have like 4 meters hitbox, I got even hit through droped pallets I droped like 1-2,5 seconds ago by wraith with 274 ms).

Maybe this is a hot take but I absolutely loathe playing against new Myers.

I'll preface this by saying that prior to the rework, Myers was the killer I enjoyed playing against the most (well, tied with Xenomorph, as I'm a diehard Alien fan). This isn't to say that I escaped against him particularly often compared to other killers—I probably died more than I escaped against pre-rework Myers.

I don't hate new Myers because he's OP or I want him nerfed, I hate him because the rework removed every single thing that made him unique as a killer, that was fundamental to his themes and identity as a character, removed everything that made him frightening or made matches against him tense. On top of that, the rework added accessibility issues that disabled survivor players have highlighted several times.

I hate the Slaughtering Strike, I hate that there's no Exposed status when it's in play, I hate the changes to the musical sting, the speed increase, and I especially hate the basekit Tombstone.

One of the things that made Myers scary was the potential threat of being tombstoned. Nothing was more terrifying than an eerily quiet beginning to a game, only for abruptly, one of your teammates to get tombstoned. The tension, the panic, the fear, it was unparalleled. And the way survivors adjusted their playstyle when they didn't know if Tombstone was in play or not? Brilliant. Now it's just an annoying inevitability. It's not special, it's not scary, it's not tense. If you get hooked for a second time, you just kind of automatically assume you're gonna get grabbed and stabbed.

And truly one of the most terrifying and excellent games of DBD I've ever played was against an infnite tier 1 wallhack Myers, shortly before the rework. Me and my three friends all died, of course, but it was incredible and horrifically scary. Truly if that Myers player is out there, you're amazing.

Additionally, a key aspect of Myers in the game has been the slow stalking approach—it's unnerving because it's unlike any other killer in the game. It's persistance hunting at it's finest. It's the same uneasiness that's provided by the creature in It Follows. Which is something fairly unique in DBD. Or it was, anyway.

After the re-work, Myers just feels…generic. Nothing about him stands out as distinct from other killers in the line up. He's boring. I'd say I like going against him more than I do Plague or Legion, but y'know, that's the bar being on the floor and managing to step over it. Not much of an accomplishment, y'know?

So yeah, I hate new Myers with my entire bitter little soul. He's spectacularly mid and very boring.

For me now he is less boring before you had minimaly 75% chance that the mayers you go against has … tombstone (who would it guess he would have it right) and so you could get deleted whithout being hooked even once by him because some meg did chest and fed him power when he stalked her (which felt great, now he must hook you twice to get that mori), he could just proxy if survivors were atruistick and stalk the whoever came for trade save would get deleted by his addon (miried because he poped 99 evil withing 3 while having tombstone as addon) or he could even delete that poor survivor that just got unhook either by his teammate or just by himself with anticamp meter (which felt even better) so he could do something even facecmaping bubba cant even do (maybe if you are hooked in open area without even single window or pallet in 20 meter radius but thats not so common), for me as "old timer" in DBD it was just loop him like m1 killer, dont give him stalk for free and then jump into locker or on gen when he has tier 3 because everyone didnt want to get moried only because killer had just one addon (his tombstone was something with same logic as old syrange just pop it and boom downed survivor into full health sate very fun to go against indeed). Was it more horror?? kinda it was because he was only one that could just kill you without any reason (unlike sadako that has to spend time to condem you or any other killer getting mori for hooking you 2 times) so in short now atleast the chase is just more fun because you must think and make some actions then just run around wall and just hide when he stalks then drop or vault and repeat until he finds you in open or breaks everything and you are in open and if you dont have luxury like gen or locker near you then its tier 3 and gg for you.

I more think people hate it because its like removing old dead hard,ds,bpn, syrange or styptic its just removing old part from old og DBD which was fun and super chaotic but thats nothing many people want (unless you want powerless m1 killers that cant get you because of infinits and busted perk combos or items with addons or going against killers with same bs things or just 3 blinks nurse, 7 with addons).

    ...but you abused kaneki?

I think everybody who doesnt own rizze skin is abused by kaneki screams in the lobby.

  • Well on pc there are many advantages like filters that are super sensitive for red so survivors can see killers red dot even through some high wall loops almost like they had budget wallhacks or oni before some could increase their dpi so high or have higher dpi to do 180 flicks I even saw (its old but I saw it) someone on youtube with blight using program that rocked his dpi and he could spin 360 while being in dash (I guess its fixed now but it was possible back then).

Weskers hug tech is mostly about huge understanding where even some of his mains can pull it on controllers while playing on console things like hug techs, instahugs and the on pc its way easier onm 120fps but best for it is range from like 72-90 fps (the lower fps the faster weskers speeding is so he gets further when hugging the loop in hug tech, in short he gets more distance and hug tech that would miss like by few centimeters or meter and half on 120 fps that same hug tech would hit it on 60 fps), pyramidheads flicks are determind by mause dpi and lower fps too I think etc., balance landing is trigered from small drops on lower fps but on 120 you cant do it, so many things working with different settings in DBD and then you have killers like bugmaster (houndmaster) which are impossible to play without constant bugs like your dog not working and getting stuck for some parts of the match etc.. DBD is realy chaotic mess bet it was like this from release till today.

I forgot about those who main mostly huntress but it could work on springtrap, xeno, nemi, dracula even pyramidhead which is they have drawed or put throught some program or what dot or cross in the centre of the screen where is point from which huntress hatchet is released (basicaly avantage in form of having crosshair on killer where your croshair shouldnt be showed like in counter strike or pubg), I even saw it on some huntress main having it (for me someone with crosshair on huntress who is using it constantly and not just one two times trying it like coconut is just not true huntressmain but cheap knock off)

Can I trust this man? Am I being baited? I am attempting to be benign but I have seen such antics play out with cunning skill before. It would require an act of even greater skill to become emotionally wacko for the win, as I would thus be rendered innocent.

I mean its hard dilema becasue I dont see date from pic so its from all his played history but how old its it? its fron now, yesterday, week or two back or month (maybe its real but this pick could be taken long time ago, but from her pick rate I assume it can be real from few days period because when she was strongest on her release she still was picked less than ghoul or springtrap and in my opinion is probably the least picked as killer when she was new because even old killers like mayers who was rare even the fact he was old and weak rocked with pick rate till today after his rework, springtrap pick rate was huge even on older killers you met them everywhere after their release but krasue I met her few times even I played lot of survivor after she hit live which is funny).

Tbh krasue is now quite low a-tier and last pallet uptade that reduced lenght of most loops nerfed her quite lot because her vault speed in head form was nerfed and now short loops make her long dash attack with reduced turning rate hard to hit plus vaulting pallets isnt that good option to unless its some god loop with only pallet that has long valls like RPD main on stairs where when you vault then survivor has like nothing and his only options are things like dead hard or trying to doge it (right side has some objects and pallet but still killer can little zone there and switch to m1 for that survivor to run back which will be mostly down stairs where there are some options but then krasues ability cooldown is charged and she can switch to head again and catch up and get hit I believe).

Nowdays krasue is way more overated, way way more than ghoul because there is nobody who is playing her and people only remember her from their last encounters where she was probably strongest after release or she still had some strong things like survivor stayed infected after unhook and this was after her first nerf that just nerfed her actions and buffed shrooms accesibility to survivors, but now she is kinda low a- tier at her best because her mobility in head form was nerfed and her cooldown are longer, her vault speed in head form plus stun speed are longer and shrooms are everywhere so she isnt that killer that rocked now (I tried her for like almost 10 games and its just 4k or hard 2k but mostly its 1-2 kills and less chance for win because she cant get in head form around loops now so easily as before due to loops having longer walls but she with her 120% speed and long demo like dash attack lunge with some low turn rate could get those hits unlike m1 killers but now she sucks tbh and I would just recomed more plague or twins as option, I had more sucess with wesker who should be weaker but its better/stronger now due to shorter loops and he has less slowdown than her because she takes ages to switch from head to normal m1 form and her strongest part which is long wall loops with just window or pallet or with both but having bigger distance between each other where she can get to range and get that hit is now just gone plus survivors now tend to more bodyblock because of 15 seconds endurance and they seems to learn to do it naturaly without endurance which is like strongest counterplay to her from her release).

To be fair, as a Myers main myself, I like his new kit.
But there are a few aspects around it that is not particularly great to go up against. That being Slaughtering Strike, and how easy it is to land, especiaclly when you play on PC. It is definitely a very strong ability that is hard to play against, if you don't have a very tight loop to use against him.

Strike is slower than chucky so just camping pallets is easy strategy that is used for almost any killer except those that can hit you while you camp it like huntress, springtrap, xeno, etc. and for experienced survivors getting stun on him is easier than on bubba, billy, chucky.

From my view more better than before when you didnt met killer like half the game than he found you and chased you and killed you on spot because everyone run tombstone, without it he was worse than ghostface only better at camping thats just fact.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/461517/does-anyone-actually-like-playing-against-new-myers

I don't mind playing against the new Myers, but then again I can probably count on two hands that I've actually versed him and I typically like to have in-game experience against him, so I don't have as much game time against him.

I do think he traverses the map in a more fast way, it's nice to not have to jump into lockers and it prevents the old I'm going to hide in a locker to prevent the mori as he can now insta-mori survivors on death hook.

I don't mind him, he's obviously stronger than what he is but I might be a little biased as I always liked versing Myers in general, I still enjoy facing him regardless but that's just me.

He is stronger but in my opinion his purple tombstone was more stronger because he must now still get you and even he charges faster with instadown when using strike he is still slow so camping pallets counters it and its easy to stun him compare to other killers (like billy charging at you and he hits overdrive before you get it he just slams your reactions and gets you) and his mori he needs to earn it its just as he could have normal mori basekit nothing more (the grab mori but thats now way weaker than old tombstone that ignored any endurance etc.). So he is stronger but not as his strongest version before with tombstone that could just delete any survivor even after hook safe without anythng to worry about, now he is stronger in chase (faster vault, breaking speed, small boost to stun recovery and increased lunge plust in incarnate mode he gets his strike with sntadown and mori finisher which someone like pyramidhead has and he has it stronger or vecna has some for 20 thing items like his hand and eye) just better killer in my opinion, his fans maybe like it because he isnt movie accurete or doesnt feels like that to them but in DBD accurate killers are mostly bad like old freddy which only was strong against survivors that didnt know how to stay woke.

To be fair, while it's not as easy to get to that 100% BP multiplier, you'd be getting that multiplier in a state of the game where things are less expensive and there are more sources of BP available than back in the day, so.

It'd still work out to more BP overall, I think.

Just thing is old bbq was easier to get and you could get it in way more games than just the bonus for unique hooks game because getting 4 hooks for the same bonus as 10 is way more consistent and reliable overall.

  • I think best way is something like dark souls did where when they are cheating and game detects that they are put against other cheaters which will create ecofriendly enviroment for them and lets them use their paid cheats as they want, Idk how about you but from years of not doing anything massive against cheaters devs I think care for them as their costumers too so this would be second best solution after bans in my opinion.

Just imagine that match, flying dwingt with mikaela that is flashlight saving through the wall with speeding sable and global sabbo jake against super speed pig that is spaming hatchets, what a fun match it would be and winner ofcourse the one with the best premium gaming chair.

Wasn't it 10% per unique hook? As in, capping out at 120% for a 12 hook game?

Hypothetically that would've been more rewarding than old BBQ, if you got a perfect game.

Still, of all the basekit incentives, I think that is the one the most people will broadly agree could and should be implemented. It'd be neat to see a survivor equivalent, too, though I don't know what that would look like.

Idk if it was that good for points but still old bbq will give you 20% less points and its hypothetically 3x times easier to get that 100% more bp so unless you got 12 hook perfect game bbq was still better for reward in general.

From what we can see devs kinda droped from the idea of giving both sides more bp through perks.

1 … 35 36 37 38 39 … 73
