Ok lets take it to survivor side, If there is 2 infinite windows and every time when survivors get hit go to those and heal there knowing killer can never do anything to them there. would you call this as 'strategy'? If 4 blendettes hiding all the game and it take them forever to touch a gen and match lasts 40 min would you call this 'strategy'? Imagine if you only play these two games as killer all the time. ANYTHING to survive you would say i guess? For me i wouldn't fake a smile they are scummy to face and i will never touch killer role again in my life. even if i somehow 4k'ed them it is at the end not fun not only mine but for everybody version of fun.
And btw i know killers have to tunnel or camp at some point on a match if it needed. But with 5 gens left with ruin still exist? how would someone call this strategy?
There lies the issue with the infinite. Its an infinite and it was patched out because it was UNFAIR. You had 0 ways to win. Even if you get camped, you can get unhooked and still escape using pallets and windows. You have a chance to use YOUR skills at pallets, windows and tiles to outplay the killer.
Also, I've been in games with Blendettes who have done this. I record some of my gameplay and upload them to my YouTube Channel. I do my job as killer and look for them. If they truly are hiding, I will find them after some time and I'll face camp them. They do gens, good. The game has started.
If not, I'll continue to kill them 1 at a time until I slug the 3rd and look for the 4th. Either she'll bleed out and I don't find the last survivor and she gets hatch or killed by the EGT or I catch her and slug both for hurting my feelings. There is always a way to win. Survivors who stealth all game are strategies also.
Out of sight, out of mind, as they say. From what you was implying, was abusing an infinite and having survivors do nothing all game to just ruin my match are different from trying to WIN by taking survivors out quickly and securing what I've caught by amorous survivors wanting that juicy 1500 points for an unhook. One is malicious and the other is just normal gameplay. Anything else?
Mini Note: If the killer is bodyblocking me in the corner of something so I can't escape with no gens done, yeah, that's scummy. I have no real way to run away or do anything but that's called, "Taking the game hostage" and it's bannable because you have NO way to do ANYTHING. Hope that helps.

Ugh man I’m tired of stupid teammates. I’ve been against Hag for the last few matches and each time, without fail, a survivor will immediately run when I unhook them, thus setting off all the traps & I sometimes end up paying the price.
What’s even funnier is that they complain about the killer camping lmfao.
The main reason is due to her being so rarely played. People have honestly never seen a Hag and probably didn't know about the crouching thing. You could make a post to help spread how to play against her. I'm sure it would help the masses.

Sweet, then I guess there's no complaint to MMR. Hackers gonna hack.
There was a time where people could see you through walls and even throw 100's of hatchets with Huntress at one time. This game has improved from awhile back.

I didn't assumed anything. I said from general expiriance. Many killer gets frustrated from those kind of surv and they vent of normal group if he gets against them. The thing is still the same as long as those players do that kind of thing they will simply stick to those tactics...
I agree. I've been mori spammed by people who were mad from a previous match. Did I cuss them out or berate them? No. I asked if I did something and they came out swinging before realizing I wasn't mad. They told me what happened and I told them its all good. ######### happens and I told them to go face camp then mori them for me if they see that person again. Respect is earned, not given.

I don't get it.... This is a game where the goal is either to survive or kill people....
Kill by any means necessary or survive by any means necessary... Why do people say "killers play scummy" when the goal is to kill...
Is it possible to kill people "nicely" on a meat hook?
As a survivor I rarely get tunneled or camped. Because I don't try to annoy the killer, I avoid them.
You understand it.

Guess it's turned into a hack or there is still a way around it because players have been doing it since before 4.1.0.0
They encrypted it with the last update that they did. Unless you're using a program, you can't see who the killer is.
-
People can't handle playing in a PVP game. They forget what they do affects others; That or they just don't care because they're selfish and want a free and easy game to beat without needing to improve. The reason I come back to this game is due to playing against real people and trying to outbest them. Dc'ing doesn't stop the other side from saying you suck. It just reaffirms it but you pull others down with you.

You asked to be able to change your killer in the lobby, to counter players looking in the files for what killer you're playing. I quoted the problem with that for you. As far as I know, from what I've read on other forum threads, those files are encrypted now (but I don't know for sure).
So, exactly what kind of fix are you requesting? You haven't been very specific.
They have been encrypted.

@Desh said:
With this new MMR, your Skill Rating fluctuates based on the character you play (For Killer anyways). The minute you begin a search for a match with your selected Killer, you are locked in and cannot change unless you leave the search/lobby. Here's why that's an issue.
I don't really know what to call it, so I'll label it as an "exploit". On PC, there's a couple of ways that as a Survivor sitting in lobby, you can identify who the Killer will be before the game starts. It's not a hack because this information can be obtained naturally within the game files however it is still a form of cheating. This allows players to adjust their items and perks accordingly to get a rather unfair advantage that they initially weren't supposed to have.
During the old Ranking system, this was countered by immediately switching to the Killer you were actually going to play within the last 6-7 seconds before the start of the match. The information the Survivor would receive wouldn't be fast enough to relay it, nor would they be quick enough to change their setup again. With this new MMR, you can't do that now. Survivors who use this "exploit" are not able to use it with a 100% success rate.
Hopefully BHVR fixes this soon.
They have encrypted the files already.

oh I'm quite sure people will upvote toxicity without just cause, but I would hope that in general the community aren't total d-bags and it wouldn't impact toxicity rating much, or it would end up lumping everyone into toxic player matches and therefore would have no affect at all
You give this community too much trust lol.
-
@Desh said:
It's almost as if MMR is calculating your Skill Rating and not your Rank. Which means that as far as MMR is considered, you along with that "brand new" player have no statistical data to pull from until you create the record for MMR. Everyone is on relative equal terms until about 10 or so matches. Have you never played OverWatch Comp or CoD? Literally the same thing.
So I say again.
RANK. DOESN'T. MATTER. Stop bringing it up, Rank means nothing to MMR.
This is how the forums will always be. Rush to complain without a chance to let something settle.

if it gets really easy i hook everyone twice and if they don't kill them self i let them all go.
I do the same thing. I don't go tryhard if the match seems different to what I'm use to. Same as survivor. If we're down to 1 gen and no downs/hooks, I allow the killer to hook me twice before looping him again. Creates a nicer atmosphere in general and reduces hostility.

I don't ever remember saying 'i don't like to lose', I perfer to face a good Pyramid Head who get us 4K'ed with good and fair way, than 3 man escaping against camping Bubba, Because even if we lose it still was fun and better match for everyone. Actually if i dont like to lose as you claimed i am i will play this scummy way -that you are defending rn and start defend it with you- to make sure i win most of them games easily and to be called 'skillful' player.
Toxic players exist every game, and it will never end. But i don't get why people defend this kind of ppl and make excuses for them. If i know every match i play is gonna be with sweaty toxic players i would be happy to stop playing pvp 100%.
It's a pvp game. Player VS Player. If the killer decides to remove you from the game to get instant pressure, he is allowed. They changed Bubba so he cannot do it anymore. 12 hook games is pretty much impossible if survivors stay on gens. Both sides want to win. Some killers are terrible at t-walls and when a survivor learns this, they go back to them as soon as the window goes unblocked. That's scummy. Using a killer's weakness to win knowing they can't do anything about it while in-game.
We should only allow 1 window loop per 10 minutes, otherwise that survivor is bad and scummy for abusing something. It starts getting a little annoying when its normal gameplay but your basic skillset gets called, "Scummy". Survivors shouldn't use ANY second chance perks. It removes the SKILL of the killer by granting a free escape with no real counterplay. If they do, it's scummy and you're bad for using it.
If anyone does ANYTHING that prevents a 4-Man escape or a 4-Man sacrifice, you're playing scummy. Your version of FUN is not FUN to others. If you cannot grasp that in a PVP game, you REALLY shouldn't be playing against other people.

The game thinks he's carrying someone so he can't pick anyone else up nor can he close the hatch. Also, you didn't show the ending of the end game collapse. Normally, it will still kill you since it forces the killer to drop you but since you didn't show it, I'm led to assume, it killed you without evidence. Just a really old pick up bug.

Why did you change the great animation when Bubba finishes the race with a chainsaw, but he doesn't hit anyone with it? Why was it necessary to change the excellent animation to this ragged, something incomprehensible and unpleasant to the eyes?
Why did you change the beautiful animation when Bubba bump into the texture to this scary animation? Okay, you could make 2 versions of this animation:
- The old tantrum animation would play when Bubba bump into the texture, and the new one would be used when Bubba entered the tantrum because he held the chainsaw too long.
Very bad animations: (time at 0: 29)
Also during the new tantrum animation, Bubba has no foot animation. He just stands there like a post and waves the chainsaw. It looks extremely shabby, unlike the old tantrum animation.
Very good animation:
DEVS PLEASE! DO NOT LEAVE THIS MOMENT JUST LIKE THAT, I ASK YOU, DO EVERYTHING IN GOOD FAITH.
I believe it's due to the longer stun time when you use more charges compared to older Leatherface. That's just my guess.

There's more to it than that. Remaining pallets mean little when they're on the other side of the map and you're in a dead zone. Dead zones are created when a killer is tunnel vision on you, probably because they have NOED or something to save them later on. Usually when most of the pallets have been used, too many gens have been done anyway, but not always. Potato teammates allow killers to capitalize on dead zones, and the game is lost. Because of the MMR system being implemented so damn late into this game's lifespan, potato teammates are common. And sometimes you're not SWF and have no idea how hardcore a killer is camping or tunneling, so you can't just know to hardcore gen rush. I can do gens, I can loop good, but I can't beat chance matchups.
You always skip a pallet, throw a pallet. That's basic knowledge. It's to keep from doing that exact scenario and to help your teammates later. You also have t-walls. Time is always on the survivors side but its a luxury for killer. You waste enough it and yes, you might get caught and die but everyone else will live. Do it enough and killers will stop tunneling after 1k games.

That's assuming all of your survivors have all of the meta perks and fit exactly the situation you're in. Sometimes DS is useless. Sometimes Unbreakable is useless. Sometimes Dead Hard refuses to come out. You can't just chalk this up to "get better" when all a killer does is camp and tunnel. A 3v1 is not a winnable situation for survivors if 3-4 gens haven't been done already. So all these killers are doing is tunneling for the 3v1 and then getting an easy game.
If you haven't completed 3 gens in 2 minutes with someone being face camped, you have other issues to look at. I've been in matches where my friend was face camped and was repeatedly tunneled. We still got out but he barely made it. I've been in the same scenario but chalking it up and saying we lost due to scummy plays instead of him playing better and us doing gens instead of running around is also bad. We have plenty of ways to loop a killer. Hell, you can throw pallets early and still outlive the gens in most maps with no looping.
The killer has to outplay to win. Killer can't just sit there and win. You have so many secondary perks to bring you back in the game and do it TWICE. If you STILL can't survive past 3 gens, you really should learn your tiles.

This is a 4v1 Lobby and Match style Multiplayer game. When you queue up to play a match you are committing to seeing it through so that everyone can enjoy the game, and everyone else who queued up is depending on your commitment to the match in order to experience said enjoyment. The acceptable reasons for Intentionally Disconnecting from a match are as follows:
- A Game breaking bug rendering you incapable of playing a normal match.
- A Player(s) taking the game hostage/hacking/exploiting bugs or unintentional game mechanics/bullying or griefing you. (Record if possible, and Report them after leaving the match)
- Influences and situations outside of the game that make your disconnection unavoidable in order to deal with said circumstances.
Disconnecting from a match intentionally for any other reason is a practice in bad sportsmanship that Ruins the experience for all other players, Disconnecting over petty reasons doesn't do anything other than piss off everyone else, and makes you a worse player for it since you don't learn how to play any better by quitting.
Disconnecting is currently being punished for a good reason: Too many DC's from too many players results in leaving the community as a whole with a sour experience, and could eventually kill the game we love. If you are frustrated with how a match is going; Take it in stride as a learning experience, see it through to the end, take a break, and decide if you want to queue up for another match. We all bought this game in order to play it with others despite how each match goes, and the majority of the fun this game offers is in the variation of each individual match.Don't be a petty DC'er.

Oh I read it just fine, but I can't agree with you at all because of this:
"However, without the disconnect penalty and I have a survivor disconnect against me, I can simply leave the match and queue for another game."
Your argument is that because the DC penalty is gone, you are free to DC whenever you want in response to another player DC'ing, So, In your words, you are responding to a petty DC'er... by committing the same offense over equally petty reasoning. 2 wrongs don't make a right, and like I said in my previous comment:
"
Disconnecting is currently being punished for a good reason: Too many DC's from too many players results in leaving the community as a whole with a sour experience, and could eventually kill the game we love."You were around in March-July 2019 when the "DC epidemic" hit its peak where 9 out of every 10 games had one or more people DC over petty reasons, and the player base started to plummet over it since no one could even play a full match most of the time, so I feel you have no excuse for making this post in favor of letting DC's go unpunished again. Honestly if it weren't for the publicity and new players brought in by Ghost Face and Demogorgon, as well as the return of a DC ban wave from the devs in mid July 2019 to get the epidemic under control, this game would have flat out died. I'm still dumbfounded that the devs didn't incorporate the automatic DC ban system sooner than December of last year, and ever since they did (until recently anyway), the game has been far more enjoyable for it, because we have been able to play full matches without the threat of "Petty DC's" ruining all of our experiences.
Sure, there have been a few victims of it who did nothing wrong and got a DC ban over crappy internet connections, game crashes, and hacker attacks, but compared to how often people DC'd during the epidemics peak, those situations have been few and far between. The entire design of the DC ban system is to put a stop to "Petty" and "Habitual" DC'ers who ruin the game for everyone, and when it went down during the anniversary event, the DC epidemic started to rear its ugly head again, but fortunately DC Penalties came back, stamping out the problem before it could truly reach epidemic levels again. But now here we are again, without that safety net to keep toxic and unsportsmanlike players at least a little "honest", and yet you are arguing the merits of letting it all slide because its "Convenient" for you.
Let me ask you something:
If you DC every time a survivor DC's, and this game gets back to epidemic DC levels because we no longer have a ban system in place... At what point does anyone actually get to play the damn game?
Your careless attitude and opinions about one of the largest problems this game and community has ever had to suffer through, is neither helpful or welcome. In my eyes, you are being a blatant and unapologetic contributor to the problem, and I don't care for people of whom, through appalling arrogance or ignorance, make posts like this one, because when all is said and you've made your point... it doesn't change the fact that you are arguing in favor of killing a game I love.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1504770#Comment_1504770
To respond to both of you, I'm just going to point out the obvious: Petty DC'ing has nothing to do with the game being "Unplayable" and everything to do with rigging the game in the players favor.
Enter a match on a map you don't like, or against players that are good at the game: DC
Enter a match on a map you like, or against players that are easy to oppose: Don't DC, and get an easy win.
There is nothing about that logic that takes into account the other players and their enjoyment, or even factors in a match that is "unplayable". To me, an unplayable match is one that has:
- A Game breaking bug rendering you incapable of playing a normal match.
- A Player(s) taking the game hostage/hacking/exploiting bugs or unintentional game mechanics/bullying or griefing you. (Record if possible, and Report them after leaving the match).
People who DC over these instances are very rare. Whereas Petty DC'ers do it simply because they don't like the map they are on, the fact that they got spotted by the killer first, they lost a hex totem in the first 20 seconds of the game, they don't like player(s) they are up against regardless of their skill level, the team brought in an item they hate, the killer is one they don't like or brought in an offering they don't approve of, etc... these players aren't DC'ing because the game is unplayable, they are doing it because they don't want to take up the challenge when they can simply keep DC'ing until they find a match in their favor against weaker opponents. This is why DC'ing reached epidemic levels, not because there was something wrong with the games design, because the game was unplayable or broken, or even because a mechanic made one side or the other OP... they do it to rig the game in their favor, and screw everyone else over in the process for petty, selfish, overentitled and unsportsmanlike reasons for their sole enjoyment.
Does any of that sound like its the devs fault? What could the devs possibly do to appease this kind of toxic and unsportsmanlike player base that were/are KILLING the game to make it "enjoyable" enough that players like this will refrain from DC'ing?
This is a Multiplayer game, which by its nature, entitles absolutely NO ONE to win every match, yet these players DC habitually in order to rig it so that they can. They don't give a damn about the rest of the players they screw over for their own enjoyment, they don't even have a shred of empathy or intent to be a good sport and take up a challenge, they don't care about the health of the game or what their petty actions are doing to its community, reputation or future... they just want an easy match, and if they don't get one, they DC for any and every petty reason as soon as the match drops out of their favor in order to find one where they are more guaranteed to win.
What's worse: by behaving like this, at one point the DC'ing gets so rampant, that they create a chain reaction wherein players DC in response to a player DC'ing because there is no point to keep playing if someone on the team isn't going to commit, Eventually this gets out of hand, and we reach "EPIDEMIC" levels of DC'ing that threatens to kill the game. It's not because the devs did something that made the game unplayable, its because the game became unplayable due to too many players setting off a domino effect of DC's... which is exactly why the game almost died last summer.
@Kellie , @CyanideBlaze , How do the devs put a stop to this that doesn't involve punishing that kind of toxic, bratty, overentitled, and unsportsmanlike behavior? If you have the answer... I'd love to hear it.

penalty only hurt killer because survivor can just kill them self on hook yes survivors ruin the game when they dc but when killer dc all survivors go back to the lobby and keep all blood points they got in the match.
Suicides have the same effect but if BPs is all your worried about when a match is ended by the killer, you really should play killer. Yeah, the match becomes easier but they stop trying. It's fun before because you still had to outplay someone to kill them. Having 2 people stare at you because 2 Dc'd then getting called names because you kill them to head to another match or farm with them for 20 minutes for less BPs that you would have gotten from a normal game isn't fun.
People need to think about others, is my point of complaint. It's always me, me, me and that's why ME DCs and why ME calls this person names because they did their job as killer or survivor. Doing something selfish doesn't just affect you. It creates a ripple effect that affects the killer and the survivors in the match.
Now if the killer does ANYTHING but farm, they're the bad guy. It's how them vs us got started. Selfish actions.

You're still ruining another's play time. Does just because you don't care doesn't mean other's don't. We can't win every match but of everyone dc'd just because they didn't like something, we wouldn't have a game. Now that it's taken out again, can't wait for my matches to be filled with 2 man's or the killers canceling the match because they can't find anyone.

Don't eat ice cream if you don't like brain freeze. Don't go to work if you don't like the idea of getting fired. Don't drive a car if you don't like the idea of having a car crash.
65% of the time, DCs are due to toxic teammates or just poor teammates in general. If you know you're going to have a bad time with people that just hide in lockers and don't do gens or stomp pallets on you for fun, then you DC, simple. It's idiotic to DC against killers due to them possessing certain builds, but wise if they face camp you. It's an entirely subjective situation, but usually when you play a game in general, it's to have fun, and to enable that you have to DC sometimes, it's understandable, just don't leave due to gameplay mechanics such as a Myres running scratched mirror or a Mori. Just think selfishly when playing any game and ask yourself "Am I having fun?" If not then make sure you are.
Then don't play a PVP game.

So just because I can't hold a chase to the level of Otz, Tru3 or No0b3 means that I should just run the single most hated build, and perks that I myself don't want to run, just to deal with the fact that someone else doesn't want to play the same way that I do when I'm playing killer? Is that what you're saying?
When I get camped or tunnelled consistently, I don't want to "improve" my game, I want to switch it. I don't want to play any more because I am miserable. And this is the mindset of the average player here. If I'm not happy, then I'm going to move on and that's a shame because I really like Dead by Daylight.
You call yourself a voice of REASON but that statement is anything but. "Just get better at the game" well I'm sorry, but that's not exactly how that works. There's a line between needing improvement, and just being unable to do anything. Currently I feel helpless. I'm stuck in purple ranks because I'm good enough to safety pip, but my team are all brown ranks and high red killers. When I switch to killer, I've accidentally dropped to brown through neglect and what do I get? REDS! REDS EVERYWHERE! Now, some of them I can kill, but when I'm put against a full SWF red squad with two flashlights on a killer I'm playing for the first time, then I just don't see a point in playing at all. That mindset to me is bred from the idea of "Play however you want." and it will drive away more players than it will keep.
This is still a GAME and they are designed for FUN, not data entry. I personally couldn't care if all 4 survivors escape as long as I had a good time chasing them down, and it's why I play Pig and Legion. Somewhere along the way, seeing those little skulls on the endscreen for all of 30 seconds became more important than the 15 minutes that happened beforehand and it's just despicable.
You chose to play a PVP game against real people then tell people that they have to play a specific way or you don't like it so you can play how YOU want. Saying you have NO chance at winning was false and I was just pointing it out. There is always a way to win. You just might not like it. Efficiency in a PVP game is mandatory.
Why don't survivors do totems but still complain about NOED? It's efficient to do gens and not worry about a perk. Why waste a minute and 15 seconds when you can hope its not there and shame someone for playing a game because YOU don't want to change your playstyle or play less optimal? It's a 2-way street.
No one wants to feel like they're being run over. It's why people optimize how they play a game. It's how we get better. Me telling you to stop what you're doing or don't run this perk because it makes it harder on me doesn't improve my skill. It makes it easier on me. That's not getting better, that's being complacent and shaming someone into doing what I want so I don't have to improve.

Its not strategy its lame and easy way to win. You know most of players play to have fun and enjoy their time with their friends or with other players, and you are using that into your advantage and like your life depends on that win.
If you only can play that way no can can force you not sadly, But don't blame others if they call you sh*t words.
Don't play a pvp game. Don't play COD, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, WOW, GTA 5 Online or any other game if you don't like to lose. All you're doing is showing bad sportsmanship because you lost.

I agree with the sentiment of your post but there are so many flawed arguments in your logic. For starters people don't hate the concept of NOED or DS. Giving you a chance against a hard tunneler and giving you more time as killer sound like amazing options, but you are not seeing how poorly designed these "band aid fixes" are.
For starters the ability to snowball NOED and go from a 2 hook game to a 4k is boring, and it's even worse not getting hooked once, then going down thanks to NOED and getting camped and one hooked cause your team couldn't find the totem. The complaints are not unjustified and I can assure you many people would be down for a second objective that was actually fun and gave the killer more of a chance with their gime management.
And DS is the epitome of abusable perks. It is SO strong you don't even need to have it. If one person brings DS the killer has to respect an invisible code of conduct and assume ALL survivors have it. A penalty that is NEVER applied to survivors as they are free to rush all gens as fast as possible. DS gives you a minute of being COMPLETELY invincible. This is why survivors with DS can safely hop on gens, go for risky saves and generally do whatever the hell they want, cause the second the killer gets close bam locker and you can't touch me. And if we get into sweaty SWF territory it gets even worse as they might bring the same skin to make it impossible to keep track of hooks.
I think you're the one lacking empathy and thus fail to see why many of these complaints are valid. Not because something sounds good in paper means it's working well or is a healthy addition to the game.

Hardly, the perk needs restrictions so it can't be abused for aggressive plays that's the problem. Deactivating upon entering a locker, repairing a gen, cleansing a totem, or saving another survivor are practically mandatory changes that are necessary to make this perk more fair for both sides.
NOED has it's own problems but I think the solutions for NOED are less clear cut and obvious than they are for DS so it's kind of a "wait and see" until somebody in the community comes up with a good enough idea that can pick up some serious steam. Or the devs, whichever comes first. I think I heard someone say it should be based on how many hooks you got, each hook earns you a certain amount of time that the survivors are exposed or something. Or maybe it only affects certain survivors, say those survivors who have been two hooked. Not quite sure, but the central concept NOED should have some conditions that need to be fulfilled in order to reap it's benefits is what most people are thinking of right now. The killer shouldn't get instant downs for free, he / she needs to do at least something during the match to be rewarded those benefits.

The changes people have planned don't change DS as an anti-tunnel perk, if anything it secures it more tightly in its role as an anti-tunnel perk and makes it better at fulfilling that purpose. Alongside the deactivation conditions people have recommended the DS timer pause during chases, maybe the base timer is even extended, or the skillcheck is made to be less difficult. All of these changes are more than welcome as long as DS can no longer be used as an in-your-face strategy against the killer.
Although it is exciting to hear keys and moris are getting changes, I hadn't heard about that one. I feel like communication on these forums isn't as up to par as it could be, I mean seriously you expect me to dig and dive for every comment peanits makes on one thread every four or five pages c'mon...
I agree with both of you equally. Both put up good arguments why both perks are disliked and a good way to solve the issues.

Don't play a PVP game if you don't like playing against certain things.

So it's fine for someone to play how they want to the point where I CAN'T PLAY AT ALL because of their actions?
Even though I've also payed money for this game, and probably more than them?
Sounds like an old thread of mine I made.
That's the point. No one is preventing you from playing. You can still get unhooked. If you suck at being chased, learn to loop better. Don't try to penalize the killer because he/she is efficient. You have BT, DH, SB and even DS to get away. If you still get downed multiple times in a match, that's on you. They also have swivel hooks. Suggesting that a killer is scummy for taking you out tells me more about your skill than the killer.

Multiple games now the killer has tunneled 1 person to death for the 3v1 without chasing hardly anyone else, then get easy hook trade camps the rest of the match. Their defense? "I'm better than you. Get good." These aren't yellow rank noobs either. These are red ranks which legitimately worries me. I know we can't exactly play on an honor system, because even I as killer tunnel/slug when the gens are going too fast for me. But I have never said that playing like that wasn't scummy. It just has to be done when you as the killer are rapidly running out of time. To claim that kills that came from tunneling and camping was skillful is ridiculous, and disgusts me as a fellow killer player. Yes, playing scummy can be the optimal thing to do, like having 2 hooked people and patrolling them both. But it's still scummy, nothing to be proud of like these guys are. If you think it was all skill that made the survivors lose when you're using a mori, or NOED, or camping, mass slugging, or tunneling, you're delusional.
It's skillful to outplay 4 people who are not bots, down them all and kill each one while dodging second chance perks on 4 people. You might not like dying due to your own skill but I don't like losing due to RNG. Can't always win in a PVP game. Otherwise, there would be no reason to play something so predictable.

From my killer experiences (rank 1 every season) its a lose-lose situation. Play "nice" and you will get stomped unless you're playing a killer who can afford to play "nice" (spirit, a good nurse and a side note even if you play nice with these killers you still get called a scumbag) and then get called bad in the postgame chat. Play "scummy" and get a ton of pressure, force survivors into bad situations and most likely win, and then get called a piece of crap, tunneler, camper, etc.
Every time. I agree. It's why I stopped doing so and play the way I want.

Still will be boring. Even if we maneged all 3 escapes, still boring.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1503770#Comment_1503770
Best argument ever. lol. All scummy people in all games use this as 'defence'
in Call of duty for example, Someone camping making other players experience much worse, people open the mic to tell him stop camping, he rise the same argument "iTs mY MoOneY".
Stop saying it like you are the only one who paid for this game.
COD Camping is still a strategy. Not everyone is a rusher. Some camp to get score streaks. Using that as an example just proves my point. PVP cannot be toned down or made easier for one side. We all play differently and if you can't handle it, play a different game with bots.

What does that have to do with the point the OP is making in this post.
Telling someone how to play is dictating people should play however they want to the harsh truth is both sides are always going to find something unfun that'll never change dictating how people play will only make it worse.
I completely agree. Winning by any means is what you do in a PVP game. Telling something someone is doing is scummy because it allows them to win is a bad argument from the getgo. You can't tell someone how to play just because it's efficient and that person doesn't like it.

I'm indifferent to this. I really like the fear of a mori and I do like the ability to find a key in the map and escape death. I agree why both would feel cheated but at the same time, I know their uses has helped clutch a few wins and loses for me. Either way, I do not hate nor like either item.

28% decrease on chainsaw cooldown. if you miss a sweep/can't make it to a survivor as they outplayed you, your barely punished with it. honestly its so nice to have hardly any distance gained by the survivor after a short or long saw.
idk just makes him feel less punishing, (not that he feels punishing anymore.) like a survivor might get to a window, you stop sawing, then vault with bamboozle and continue the chase. very much a "training wheels" style addon, by negating punishment on bad plays, but at the same time genuinely good at times?
It also makes his stew delicious :D Joking aside, I agree. It's very underrated.

MYC can't trigger If someone is still exposed so no.
MYC definitely triggers again on a person who has MYC already. It just resets the current timer back to 60.

while I had the same idea, using yugioh wasn't the best analogy here.
after all, even people that play yugioh don't get timing right. XD
"I activate this!"
"You can't, it misstimed"
"it what now?"
joking aside, good example :)
I try my best to help with the best analogy that I would understand.

Hag is one of the few best killers in-game but she's more like a spider. You trap area's then funnel your prey into them for downs. You hook then trap your prey for trapping area's around the hooked for a second survivor, trapping obvious travel points and escape routes. Its really fun to guess where a survivor will come and go and smack them just to watch them run into the rest xD

I don't think either of you even read my post.
Even in my first sentence I wrote "Disconnecting because you're they're losing is pathetic".
A disconnect penalty due to the game randomly kicking players, or a killer leaving the match because a SURVIVOR disconnects because they got downed early (the match is already been ruined by the survivor disconnecting early) do not relate to your responses whatsoever.
You are still dc'ing with 3 other survivor's. Either farm with them or kill them all. Dc'ing because another dc'd is still causing the same issue.
