You know you can just carry on running if you see him trying to go for windstorm lunges like Pig ambushes right? It's also not useful unless you're at a really small loop, doesn't really work otherwise because you should be safe next to a pallet or window.
Also all Wraiths I've seen will do the exact same thing: uncloak while moving one way, then immediately double back the other way. I've never seen a Wraith commit to going straight forward, so just keep running forward and 9 times out of 10 you'll probably win the 50/50. Everyone always doubles back at the same time Wraith does because people are still clueless about this lunge for some reason.

You guys are acting like people who are new to this game have never played a multiplayer game in their lives. The community isn't gonna drive people away, the players you're referring to make up a very small percentage of the playerbase. The obscene grind and bugged to hell mechanics will scare people away much more than someone pressing the Ctrl key a few times.
-
Seems to me you just lost because you DCed, it's never over until you see the end screen you could've made something happen. And apparently he was playing solo according to his messages (it was at most a 3-man, I can see a console player in your lobby). But I'll just say this: It's not SWF that's broken or unbalanced, it's 4 good survivors against a weaker killer/killer player that can be insanely unbalanced. Comms don't even make a difference at that point.

Would stbfl work. I know people use it because it decreases it after hitting a survivor but what about pallets
No perk in this game reduces the time to break a pallet with your power. In fact there's only one thing that's gonna be able to do that and that's Demo's new add-on.
-
What I'm more shocked about is the fact that you've seen Demo players in the first place.
Enduring is good on almost any killer, there's really no downside to it, just throw it on and now you never have to respect pallets. There are better perks to run on Demo though, since most pallets you'll be breaking with shred but it's still not a bad perk.
-
Hehehe funny survivor bounce up and down.

You kiddin'? KIllers will always find a way to slug for the 10k no matter what, and adding more hatches just allows survivors to use their medkits to open it early. Terrible idea.
Well when we finally have a counter to those 97-man SWF squads all running monstrous shrine on uPlay voice chat then we can talk about ways of stopping slugging for the 10k
-
Honestly DbD needs wayyyy more tips and tutorials. There should be a tip list and video previews for each killer in the menus to demonstrate what they can do in-game when you hover over their power, and tips like hugging loops, faking the red light etc. Would be amazing if they could do the same for perks too (for example, a small video showing small game activating when looking at a totem, then the survivor walks over to the totem and starts working on it). It would be a LOT of work but if they want to make this game look really nice, this would definitely help.
Making the menus not a clunky piece of crap would also go a long way, they still feel so awful to navigate, it's been 5 years and they still freeze on every mouse click, it's so annoying to use.
-
"killer mains can cry about how terrible he is but he is not the terrible one, YALL are"
But...you're the one dying to these 'terrible' killer players... I get that he's boring to play against, and he unfortunately has an actual power now that can down survivors (I know, a killer having a power that can kill you, crazy stuff). But he definitely doesn't need nerfs. And when design failures like The Twins, Hag and Spirit exist and have been complained about for literally years, there's not a single chance they're reworking or nerfing Trickster, at least for a very long time.
-
Ok.
-
The community isn't even gonna be an issue for new players, most don't care that much about playstyles, it's the more experienced players that cry about that (and even that's only a small minority). This game drives away players more than the community ever could on its own with its absurd grind (that's about to get worse again with another killer and survivor), map design, RNG and unhelpful, outdated tutorials.

guess some prefer quantity over quality.
I prefer a fun game. More killers means more fun, and when BHVR refuse to do anything substantial in terms of game mechanics and gamemodes outside of DLC, this is all that's keeping the game from getting stale. We've literally had 1 gamemode for 5 years, the 3 mechanics they have added in those 5 years were totems, endgame collapse and breakable walls and that's ######### it.
Balance patches instead of DLC would be so incredibly boring and people would quit playing.
-
It's been 5 years and DbD players are still trying to persuade random teammates to complete objectives in a multiplayer game. It's not gonna happen my guy lmao.
-
If you're trying to get the adept, don't use your chainsaw to down survivors, your chaser points will essentially be cut in half because you'll be bypassing health states.
And Q and E is only really used for traversal. I know some people use it for curving with engravings but I prefer using a mouse for that. If you're using q and e to track survivors and backrev them, don't. You're much better off using mouse movement.
-

you have to understand swf is broken, right?
4 good survivors is broken, not SWF. Doesn't matter if they're communicating or not if you're playing against 4 good survivors and you're not Spirit, Nurse, Hag etc. you're probably gonna lose. If you are playing those good killers then it's usually a game of "who makes a misplay first" because the outcome of DbD games is almost entirely based on snowballs and RNG.
-
I'm inclined to agree with this tier list.
-
This was probably the best change they could make, I'm fine with this. It won't feel as "necessary" to run rat liver anymore because his default is just a little bit stronger which is what he needed.
-
The add-on isn't bugged, it's just a really bad add-on. It's meant to work like that, you're much slower than the survivors at the start of the saw and you gradually increase in speed, it's a lot slower than default but it lasts a bit longer I think. Still a terrible add-on though, use iri flesh instead it's a much better red add-on.

That's the thing. Every time I put it on the game spite me and put me on shelter woods.
We used to have a tree we could run off of to trigger balanced landing on that map... :( Guess it was too strong to be kept in the game or something

I want a fun one but a strong one
I own gf and freddy what should i get next?
Spirit is probably your best bet then. Fun, easy to play and one of the best killers in the game, if not the best on console. Oni is also very fun and very good.
-
Any killer is viable at any rank.
Honestly these new changes aren't gonna "kill" Demo. He'll still be good, but he won't get the strong zoning at long loops and corridors anymore with the nerfed rat liver. Currently it lets you not lose any distance on the survivor while charging shred but the nerf will not give you enough movement speed to keep up with them, so you're not gonna be holding his power at long loops for long periods at a time anymore (which was where rat liver was useful). It'll take some getting used to, and his zoning is now a lot worse and not as 'free', but he will still be a good killer. If he looks fun to you then buy him.

It's never been this bad before, usually everyone was pretty chill.
Playing a day after the PTB comes out is a mistake. It's always better to play on the day and then never touch it again.
-
You looking for perks or just a fun killer? What killers do you currently like? Do you care if they're strong or not?
We're gonna need more info than that if you want recommendations, but the best advice is to simply look up all of the killers you don't have, watch gameplay videos etc and grab whichever one looks fun to you.
-
Meh, I hate sprint burst more than dead hard, and sprint burst is a MUCH better perk. I think the reason why dead hard is hated so much is because it's a chase extender that happens mid-chase with no requirement like smash hit, balanced landing or lithe, whereas sprint burst's happens at the beginning so you know there's nothing the survivor can use to extend chases with except pallets and windows.
Dead hard isn't overpowered or broken, if you think it is you're kinda weird, but it is annoying.

Not fun for the survivors tho.
Meh, the majority of existing killers aren't fun to play against already, adding another one isn't gonna do much damage. As long as I can have fun playing as a killer I can put up with it as survivor because being "fun to play against" isn't really the main point of killers anyway.
-
He's fun to play now imo, and that's all that really matters. You can do well with any killer at red ranks and he's no exception so at least he's in a playable state for now.
-
BT doesn't do anything new except stop camping stealth killers and Freddy. That's all it's going to do, and it's still nowhere close to the strongest survivor perk. Adrenaline, DS, iron will and sprint burst are all much stronger.
-
Define "nasty scumbag". Are they sending you threats and hateful messages etc, or are they just pressing the crouch key a few times? I wouldn't call someone a 'nasty scumbag' if they tbagged me, that's a little bit of an overreaction in a game that's already filled with people completely overreacting to the smallest thing players do.
-
Stand at a loop, snare 1 side, snare the other, double back and get survivors to step in both of them, get a hit.
This is how you play Freddy now and it's not gonna change after the nerf, you still play as and against him the exact same way.
-
No, iri head on its own is trash. It's worse than addon-less now. All it needed was a range requirement: 20+ meters and you insta-downed someone to reward people who are actually good at Huntress. Iri head with 1 hatchet removes the one thing Huntress is good at which is snowballing with her power.
If you run iri head you're now Billy with tuned carburretor but everytime you miss a backrev you have to go and open a locker. It's so awful.
-
Devs are still terrified to add things as a base mechanic for both sides, they just HAVE to be perks or it would be too strong in their eyes.
Totem counter? Small Game and Thrill
An actual FOV that doesn't induce headaches? Shadowborn
Brighter and better looking scratchmarks and blood? Predator and bloodhound
An actual substantial amount of bloodpoints per game? BBQ + WGLF
So infuriating man.

Well, what could use a boost?
Trapper: Needs like 2-4 minutes before the match starts to set up his traps.
Myers: Needs like 50% more evil to suck off of survivors, so you're less screwed by teams hiding out your T3.
Hag: Needs to teleport in facing the person who activated the trap, not just in any random direction as they get away.
Doctor: Needs to shut off vaulting/throwing power the second the survivor screams, not like 5 seconds after the scream is over. This is so frustrating.
Freddy: He feels great to play and I really hope any nerf doesn't screw with that. If you want to nerf him, make his Class Photo baseline and increase the CD on teleporting. That way, he can't just fake out teleports and every teleport becomes much more important to choose, rather than just spamming it all the time.
Pig: Cut down the time till the trap springs by like 50%.
Clown: More bottles. Like, 50% more bottles.
Legion: Remove the stun effect when Frenzy ends naturally, but keep it if you miss an attack, double-tap a guy, or prematurely end it.
Plague: Turn her puke into a flamethrower, not a series of invisible chunks, so it actually hits the target when the screen says it hit.
Demogorgon: Let him track survivors near inactive portals.
Executioner: Needs all new addons. His addons are the worst in the game (other than the 3 +range ones for his shockwave).
But as to the main question: Who should get worked on next? I'm gonna say Plague. She's such a great killer artistically and thematically, and her power is built so poorly. She needs the biggest change (altering how her puke hits work), and she's already throttled by her lack of mobility and built-in pool weakness. Fix her puke reliability and the healing pools suddenly become huge advantages with RELIABLE blood puke.
Hag already works like that unless you're using rusty shackles or mint rag. Your phantasm faces the survivor, and when you take control of it, you're still facing that direction. Doctor's power also already works like that. It won't interrupt queued fast vaults much like Freddy snares won't.
-
I think the top 3 I think need reworks are Legion, Twins and Clown. Legion and Clown are just extremely lame and their powers have nothing of interest, and The Twins are an abomination.
-
It is definitely interesting seeing how petty some people become in this game. The lengths some people go to to try and one-up someone else in-game is pretty funny. Like survivors staying at the gate and leaving just before you're about to hit them out, or staying on hook when there's only 2 of you left.

Glad you stuck with the Twins and I’ve also noticed the insatiable need survivors have to kick Victor. It’s very strange, I think I once started a topic asking why survivors will take the L as long as they get to kick Vic. Like a month ago.
They still do it...
It's literally the only way you can have even a morsel of fun against The Twins, so I prioritise kicking that tiny idiot over anything else in the match.
-
DS, Unbreakable, adrenaline/BT and an exhaustion perk of your choice (probably balanced landing) with a game offering and a purple medkit with extra charges and healing speed. Have fun.
-
I like that the image is called "camping.png"
-
And now you're complaining about their complaining. That one survivor that called your build boring in post game chat just now really got to you didn't they?
-
Rank 1
Probably Demo. I would say Blight but his collision has reached the point that I don't want to play him anymore until it's fixed, it's unbearably bad. Good anti-loop, good map pressure, simple and easy to play, not reliant on add-ons and STBFL is a fun perk that Demo makes extremely good use of.
For add-ons, I guess rat liver and rat tail are the only ones I'd run on him if I ran add-ons, which I usually don't. Mew's guts and deer lung are also decent.

If you think demo is strong, you don’t use him against good survivors. He is one of the worst in the game.
Name another killer that has a loop ending power, a teleport on a 14s cooldown and mild stealth that isn't Freddy. There's no way Demo is bad, and I have used him against good survivors and I usually win and do fine. Bronx wins almost every Demo game he plays, there's not much survivors can do when demo has all of his portals set up in good areas, his map pressure is too good for them to keep up. If you're trying to play him and loop like a standard M1 killer you're already using him wrong, same with if your portals are getting constantly cleansed.

Favourites are probably Alert and BBQ
Least favourites are no mither and bamboozle

Deathslinger is fun, but he has no map pressure.
Demo has map pressure, but loops are ######### for him as his only redeemable factor is he eats pallets.
Try learning hag/billy, these two are pretty fun.
That is absolutely not the only redeemable factor about Demo's shred. His zoning is some of the best out of any killer, he's not hindered when feathering his shred he can do it whenever he wants with no cooldown. T-L's, shack and long walls are a death sentence. You can abuse the car collision to get completely unexpected free hits. Eating pallets is just one good thing about his shred. And keep in mind he's 115% and has a map-wide teleport ability on a 14 second cooldown on top of ambiguous TR music that is hard to listen for with monitor.
The fact that people think this killer is weak, even going as far to say he's the weakest, blows my mind.

I don't think its fair that someone monetizes my own gameplay content without my consent. That's basically what streamers are doing.
Your gameplay has no monetary value to you or the streamer, it's THEIR gameplay and stream that is being used for their gain. You just happen to be playing the same game as they are, which you can't put a price on, that would be ridiculous.
-
You want the streamer that's streaming the game to compensate you for playing the game with them because they couldn't have streamed the match without you?
What. The. #########. This HAS to be a bait post right? There's no way somebody actually thinks like this.
-
You DCed because they body-blocked the hook in what I'm presuming is the early game when you just downed your first survivor, giving you so much completely free pressure at the start of the match? Idk why you'd DC, the match would've been much more in your favour even if she did wiggle off your shoulder but...sure I guess.
-
The desync was better on P2P but it was far from perfect. Exhausted on the ground and Huntress throwing semis at you were still very real and happened often, just not as often as they do now. It's something you have to deal with I'm afraid, it's not gonna get better in the foreseeable future. They're gonna be taking their sweet time to fix other things before they work on things like Huntress hatchets and Nurse desync.
-
Well, to give OP some credit, at the low levels and new players this game is completely killer sided, and ranged killers like Trickster, Nurse and Huntress will feel even worse to go against because you're fighting a ranged killer with nothing to actually fight back with other than putting objects in-between them and keeping a constant eye on the killer to see what they're doing/if they're readying a hatchet etc. That can be really hard to learn on the fly for new players.
-
Probably a lag/de-sync issue, and that happens with Huntress as well, just not nearly as often anymore. Used to happen all the time with her. It's something you have to get used to when playing a character that relies on accuracy in a game that's coded as badly as this one.
-
Pre-rework I would've said Billy because the freedom you had with the saw let you keep up with decent teams without add-ons. Now you can't keep up as well, you use the chainsaw the same way you did before his rework and your power goes on cooldown. Now I would say it's Oni without topknot or Wraith with good add-ons.
-
The Twins.
Oh cool am I getting chased by a killer moving at 150% movement speed? Wow, look at all the counterplay!
Oh wow, am I now being hooked right next to Victor while Charlotte pressures the other side of the map and can transition Victor in literally less than a second to get anyone that tries to save me? Cool!
Are we all getting slugged on the ground for 4 minutes because we dare tried to play the game? We sure are.
I would rather play against a Spirit or Deathslinger than that abomination of a killer.
