Honestly tier lists are too opinion based and hard for me to decide so I’ll put the simple facts down Nurse is the best Clown is the worst everything in between is up for opinion
Should add to that by saying every killer can win against the average survivor group so honestly who cares about tier lists lmao.

This just tells me you do not play Hag in red ranks regularly enough to go up against good teams.
There are plenty of bad players that will play into Hag’s traps, but there are quite a few decent to good players that will play around them and require a lot of creativity and transitioning between strategies that keeps the game very interesting and very tough.
Really dunno what's interesting about literally not playing the game and being as uninteractive with the survivors as possible but sure. And this argument applies for every killer that isn't nurse or spirit where if they have a weak link or two it's a stomp and if they're all good you're probably never going to win because the mechanics of the killer don't matter for bad survivors, you're still going to win with almost no issues. If all 4 survivors know what to do against Hag she literally can't win. Run in, do gens, run out when hit, heal up, rinse repeat. Hag can't ever win against this and gets destroyed because if she chases she loses and if she stays around her end of the map she'll eventually lose because the gen gets done and now she can't defend the gates.

either drop pallet early or abuse the backwards vacuum
You drop the pallet early and you're getting hit by his ranged attack if the PH player is paying attention. He creates a lose-lose situation at every pallet and window unless he's bad and screws up.

This is literally the suboptimal way to play Hag and why people considered her on the lower side of the tier list for so long. Read some of the replies above - maybe watch Michi from EU play and try Hag yourself. People who play this way are also turned off by Nurse because her ceiling is too high for predictions and missing penalty "too long" with the nerfs - both have more to offer than people are willing to put in the work for
I consider her quite high on the tier list because survivors are so bad, but if this really is the suboptimal way to play her and I see it work more often than not, as well as being able to do this myself with almost no thought or previous experience playing hag then why play any other way?

I never expect anything else from hag players. She can be used aggressively, but once she catches someone, down goes the hook trap and 2 or 3 escape paths with furious teleport button spam while waiting even while chasing someone else.
People always tell me Hag has depth and a high skill ceiling but to win the game with her it's such a 1 dimensional strategy and you don't ever have to deviate from it because almost every survivor can't do anything against it, and the ones that can means an auto-lose for the Hag: trap 1 half of the map, get a down with little effort because insta teleport to traps and fun killer, hook and place traps around hook, teleport when survivors go for save, rinse repeat. Wow, so much depth and so much skill involved.
-
She is extremely good against dumb survivors and, lo and behold, we don't really have a shortage of those. If a hag gets into a last gen situation all you have to do to beat her is everyone run in, start on gens, when she hits you run out, heal, rinse repeat until the gens are completed. That's literally it and there's nothing she can do about it. She chases someone, she loses. She carries on hitting and placing traps, the gen eventually gets done and it's an automatic loss because she's a very cool killer design that isn't flawed in the slightest :)
-
So I've learned that nobody here has played against a good pyramid head. A good PH is not gonna get into a situation where they miss an opportunity to hit or get stunned by a pallet. The only way you're not getting hit is if they mess up and for some reason don't press M2 at a loop, or they didn't know a pallet was there etc. Really well-designed killer that's so fun to play as....

Spirit and ph have no real counterplay I just went against a good spirit stridor and had a good headset. There was no way I was winning I didnt have iron will she was a pc spirit too. A good spirit has no counterplay and it's a fact so does a PH.
I seriously hope you reread my comment to find out that I'm actually on your side with this, and I was making an exaggerated statement. I'm also referring to the people who say these killers have counterplay to be bad killers and/or survivors, because they're the ones that believe they can be countered properly when they can't.

Look at this posts comments hes clearly frustrated but tell me those are survivor mains right now . All dbd social media is infested with killer mains reddit especially.
If a survivor is not having a good time they're CLEARLY only complaining because the killer is good, and if you don't think they have counterplay then you're just a bad survivor xDDDD.
Even though I'd argue that the person who says something like this is a bad killer, because if you think Spirit and Pyramid head have any decent way to counter them then you're either really bad at these killers, or never play survivor.
-
DC penalties were always a stupid addition. You can't punish someone for not wanting to play, especially when this game is crashing more than ever on console apparently, and things like the hill bug STILL EXISTS, literally soft locking you until the killer picks you up (which, given half the killer player base, they probably won't until the end and abuse the hell out of it so you're literally stuck there for minutes not doing anything.)
Not only that but they will always find a workaround for it, if their solution to this problem is turning it off and on again.

In case you're not baiting Aven has a point, and it happens wayyyy more than you think. If one survivor makes a mistake, or, for example, has the brilliant idea of trying to save a survivor from the basement against a Trapper or Hag, it's game over. That's one of the fun parts about this game and why it's so chaotic - a match can go downhill REAL quick and be unwinnable if a survivor messes up, or if the killer makes a series of mistakes and it happens all the time. It's one of the main reasons why the game is oddly balanced right now.
-
Not only that, the majority of topics that are "discussed" on here (i.e shot down by killer mains immediately, disregarding everything the survivor says by bringing up something completely irrelevant to the topic of the post) follow a flow chart that doesn't get anywhere at the end of it.

This is where I think people underestimate the power of holding W. She's extremely slow without using her power so she is going to waste ages chasing after you if she doesn't use her power to run you down. In this scenario you don't care about telling whether she is phasing or not. If she uses it to catch up then now you know she is phasing. If she faked it then you just left her standing there like an idiot while you leave. Also the fact that while holding W you will leave her TR very quickly so you will be able to know if she's actually phase chasing you almost instantly. People are trying to sit at a loop and mind game her which is where they lose as that was a mistake in the first place.
I think the reason people actually hate her is because she forces you to play completely differently from the other killers and people don't like adapting. She also puts much more of the outcome into how good the Spirit is and less into did I just mess up. Which is inverse to like 80% of the killer roster where much more of the outcome is how good the survivor is and did they mess up.
The way many survivors feeling facing a "good" Spirit is how 80% of the killer roster feels facing "good" survivors.
Ok so say I do hold W away from the loop. Know what the spirit can do? Hold W herself and catch up to me because not only is 110% negligible compared to 115% (she literally spends 1 to 2 extra seconds to catch up to you over someone like Trapper, not "extremely slow"), if you leave a loop and don't get to another one you're now in the open and you're guaranteed to get hit. Or she phase walks along the oath you chose for a short time and will probably hear you breathing, hear and see the grass move, hear footsteps, grunts of pain if you're injured...and hit you that way. If she only uses it for a bit she'll have her power back by the time you're at another loop where she can now hit you for free. If I'm playing spirit and a survivor holds W I now know I'm getting a free hit in the next 10 seconds because they have no idea what they're doing.
And you know a Spirit could also like, break the pallet lmao, which takes literally a couple of seconds and then phase walk along the path the survivor took in a short burst.

Am I the only one who finds it hilarious that the Wraith essentially got 4 kills in around 60 seconds? How does a team even wipe that quickly to a ######### Wraith lmao.

Give me more stupid suggestions. We need as many posts as possible in topics like this.
People really need to quit responding when the haven't even read the topics. "jUst dIsaBle". Already outlined why thats not a good alternative at all.
A crossplay filter option is the ONLY good alternative.
They could do something like that, but honestly playing against PC Huntresses and Nurses on console won't be that bad once you get used to it (Well, Huntresses anyway). I used to play survivor with a controller a lot and I don't notice a difference in my survivability, that's not a word but roll with it. KB+M survivors don't get much of an advantage against controller survivors so I'm guessing the biggest issue console survivors have is the horrific optimization? I could definitely see that being a valid complaint, but optimisation aside, once you go against more PC Huntress and Nurse players you'll eventually get the hang of it. Even the best Huntress mains have their own setplay they like to fall into, theirs is just more unpredictable than the standard players'.

People should not have to beg for accessibility options.
We shouldn't, but when these devs have not added any kind of meaningful settings for 4 years, still have FOV tied to a perk and 25% of a killer's loadout, and Wraith can still be lightburned, there comes a point where we desperately need them to get this game up-to-date.
-
I love how the defense of the use of the Mori by everyone here is "you're using strong perks and a clicky clicky and you're also trying to promote your twitch channel so you deserve it for being a big meanie :(". Like ######### clockwork dude, happens every time.

Deep wound is already an atrocious status effect that shouldn't be in the game. We don't need something else applying deep wound. Demo is also not a below-average killer, he's seriously underrated by most people on this forum because unlike most killers he actually requires some setup and practice to be good. He doesn't need any changes.
-
If 3 of you escaped against a Huntress with iri head she was absolutely not a "decent" Huntress lmao. Unless you got Fractured cowshed, and if you did this result is kind of believable because that map is still absolutely broken.

Reminds me of the old basement glitch where survivors literally couldn't see or escape the basement if they were hooked there, and killers constantly abusing it with agitation builds, and defending their exploiting of the glitch. Good times...
-
I'd remove Pyramid Head, Spirit, Freddy, Deathslinger, Hag, Clown then spirit 4 more times. All of these killers are so boring to play as and against by either being way too easy and brain-dead to win a chase with (Deathslinger and spirit) or they are so horribly designed and boring that I refuse to play them (Hag and Pyramid Head)

Yes that's what I'm thinking if everyone is basically swf then u can balance the game with that like any teambase game would do.
I still don't know where people are coming from when they say the Devs should "balance around SWF", because most SWF groups are no better than solos, they just want to mess around and have fun, or play the game normally. You can't balance the game around SWF because not everyone wants to communicate, or even can due to language barriers, anxiety, speech issues or maybe they don't even have a mic, now those solos are having an even more miserable experience. bad survivors aren't gonna get better automatically just because they can speak to other people, they're still gonna get dumped on by killers, even more than they already do if you want to go the route of buffing every killer to compensate for Comms.
-
A lot of killers are downright miserable to play against but I'd have to disagree with this next DLC. The perks look quite good for both sides. Imo there's one good perk, one meh perk and then one bad perk for both of them. And the new killer is probably gonna be a lot of fun once they iron out the bugs, and also gonna be hilarious to go against. Can't wait to watch this dumbass pinballing around everywhere, slamming into everything and running at me at Mach speed.
-
The only perk that desperately needs changing is object tbh. The change I keep seeing suggested is to only reveal auras if you're both looking in each others direction, and if you're not, the perk will only light up like spine chill. It'd still be really strong, but not nearly as bad.
DS is a dumb perk, but there aren't many good ways to change it. I think the easiest change would be to reduce the timer to 50 seconds. I don't like the idea of it deactivating instantly when you touch a gen, I think making it deplete the timer twice as fast would be a better change.
And sole survivor needs some kind of aura blocking on it to begin with. Maybe 12m to start with or something, and each dead survivor now gives +28m instead of +24m.

This. I don't plan on buying a PS5 anytime soon either. Should old gen consoles stop receiving support, you can expect a significant part of the player base to abandon the game. Also, queue times will pretty much revert back to what they were before crossplay was implemented (upwards of 5 minutes for Survivor).
BHVR probably couldn't give less of a ######### about current gen console optimization because in their eyes, they are about to become obsolete because the new ones are right around the corner. Making a patch for current gen wouldn't make sense financially, because why roll out a patch, that would cost them a lot of time and money, dedicated to 7 year old hardware?
-
Most streamers have a "Killer main" audience, because all they want is to feel a sense of fulfilment and "justice" when those "toxic genrushing swf squads" lose. Why do you think the chats are always talking ######### about the survivors that misplay, and are always like "wAiT fOr EnDgAmE cHaT pEpElAuGh". Otz, Tru3, Hexy, Scorpionz, Drey's chats are all good examples of this behaviour... Then you have streams like Zubat's and Scott's which are a mixture of chill and pure chaos and it's great.
-
His perks look alright but I don't think it's worth buying the DLC for, maybe they'll see some tweaks. Some of them just shouldn't be DLC perks and should be part of the main perk pool. Visionary is an actual useable version of deja vu for new players and it's a DLC perk, which most sane new players will not buy right away and when they do buy the DLC they won't need this perk? Come on...can say the same about windows of opportunity and zanshin tactics, and all 3 of these perks have a cooldown for...reasons that I can't even begin to comprehend.

YES, but BHVR so desperately want it to be an ESPORT (fighting games are apart of that) and the frustrating part is they CAN do it but they are too indecisive in adding functions that could help it. If I could run a tournament for DBD I would, but the tools aren't in the game. That includes voice chat for the survivor team (coming from a killer main).
Since when have the Devs desperately wanted DbD to become an esport? They've funded 1 tournament since the game has launched which was a complete disaster, and their latest killer and map designs tell me they're going for a cool visual and casual experience than a competitive and balanced one.

For starters you gotta get this 'boring' idealism out of your head because killers aren't responsible for your fun, when they are focusing and responsible for their own fun.
It's 1v4. The killer should feel unbalanced in a 1v1, and not hold your own weight in a 1v1. This is why I don't like talking about 1v1 because it proves that survivors will always have the advantage in a loop, but when a killer takes that advantage away everybody is "the killer is too powerful" because everyone looks at the 1v1 mindset and not the 4v1 mindset
I hope you realise I'm not talking about the survivor experience only. Playing Spirit is just as boring as playing against her because there is absolutely no challenge or anything to learn with her. If you're happy with the way Spirit is you're happy with not really caring about what a survivor does, or being challenged in the one aspect of the game that's actually fun which is the interactions between killer and survivor. Hag and Deathslinger are the same. These three are so unbalanced in the 1v1 that it's so damn boring playing as them because you know you're going to win every chase no matter what the survivor does.

Since you‘re against single player games you propably also against unmindgamemable loops, since there is nothing a Killer can do other than running in a cirlce am I right? if unmindgamemable loops are necessary, then so is Spirits abilitiy to phase.
gotta love those whataboutisms amiright? I'll humour you anyway. Depends what you mean by that. Things like the Midwich god pallet, asylum windows should absolutely not be a thing because yes they're boring to play as survivor and killer, because you're both running in a circle and there's no thought there. The autohaven short loops are fine imo because they are just that: short. And have some mindgame potential if the survivor wants to play them. Both sides have a chance to outplay each other when the pallet gets dropped which takes maybe 7 or 8 seconds tops. And many killers don't care about these loops anyway, almost every killer has something that could help them at these loops with the exceptions being probably Myers, GhostFace, Plague and Legion.

There's no way to nerf or rework Spirit without defeating the purpose of her! Giving some kind of indicator will defeat the purpose of her.
Not only that Spirit flips the script on survivor s and makes them feel the same way other killers do. Other killers have to mindgame and hope that the survivor makes a mistake, Spirit takes that information away survivors and makes survivors hope that what they did was the right call.
@Enlyne I hate to say this, there is nothing skilled based involved with survivor when your feeding of information to counter something
If there's no way to rework spirit without defeating the purpose of her, then rework her with the sole intention of defeating her initial purpose. I want spirit to be completely reworked, her design is horrifically boring and unbalanced, you're essentially playing a single player game. There's no challenge, it's just hold M2 and win every chase unless they have iron will, which in that case you also have to guess until you're near them and you hear their footsteps and grass moving. No interaction with the survivor whatsoever because you don't give a ######### about what they're doing. Where's the fun in that?
-
Or we could suggest a rework for spirit to be more engaging and fun to play as, and keep stridor the same so killers still have a useable perk because it's good on every killer if you use it? It's a win for everyone.
-
Trap RNG is probably the main thing. Good pigs will also force a 50/50 at small to medium loops with her ambush and depending on the add-ons she's using the time that you have to react can be really small. Most pigs I see, even scorpionz, will do the same thing everytime with the ambush so I've found it's not too hard to counter. And only very few Pig players will actually use it in the first place.

honestly didn't think about that. But it would also require to learn the swings with each combination of add-ons that increase the duration of each token, doesn't it?
It would but it's hardly asking a lot from you is it? It's not hard at all and it'll take some practice to optimise your chainsaw distance and I don't see anything wrong with that. His chainsaw is now really good at cutting chases short, so giving it a little bit of depth and a small skill floor is perfectly fine imo, I don't know why people want it to be so easy to use.

They were out only a few months before Laurie. I wouldn't call that "far longer".
-
Much like Deathslinger, her chase game is stupidly broken and uncounterable, but she has no map presence of any kind. They're both in 2 extremes of being really good in a chase but also really bad at pressuring gens which leads to them sort of being balanced in a gross kind of way, which is bad design imo. Same with Hag and Pyramid Head. Really wish BHVR would look at their other killers more like Demo, Billy, Oni, Plague...killers that have a good chase but also decent map presence, making them balanced and fun.
-
Only the head and body should be linked, leave the weapon separate. Although this decision would probably be less profitable so I understand why it's this way.

I mean this is serious? Lol. Can someone please give me a reason to why they think killer is actually hard? What seems to make it so hard other than once in a while getting a game against a good swf that knows how to hold m1 on a gen?
Yep you are absolutely right about killer being easier than it has ever been. A few people on here will agree with you, but most killer mains on here just want to make sure you know that killer is sO sTrEsSfUl. It's definitely not that bad anymore, and usually the times they lose it's because of mistakes THEY made or their loadout but they refuse to accept that. The tryhard SWF squads are people you very rarely come across, most of the time those who claim they see them everyday have no idea what these squads are actually like. The only other thing that justifies their complaints is map RNG. You're not expected to win on maps like Ormond, Haddonfield, Midwich etc unless you're like a nurse or a Spirit.

Green would probably be too much, but maybe yellow as basekit would be all he needs. I think he is in a really good spot atm. Not too strong, not too weak, plenty of counterplay; lot's of interesting add-ons.
Why do you think green would be too much? It really wouldn't be. It's not THAT fast, and it wouldn't make him too strong at all. Besides half the Wraith players already run green windstorm almost all the time and you don't see anyone complain that he's overpowered with it.
Imo yellow isn't enough, and I'd rather they gave him a good speed boost and replaced the current windstorm with something else, rather than him getting a mediocre speed boost, but keeping the current windstorm add-ons which WOULD be too much.
-
Green windstorm as base is all he needs. Then you rework the other windstorm add-ons into something else. That's literally all BHVR would have to do to make him go from horrendous to actually decent, because he's very decent with a bit of speed that's the only thing holding him back. I'd rather they go the route of giving him more speed than more Stealth because I like playing wraith in an aggressive way, which green windstorm absolutely lets you do. Yellow is a little too slow on some autohaven maps and other giant open areas.
-
I never used add-ons for Billy anyway so I'm in the clear 😎

I dont get why everyone picks on Spirit (actually yeah I do, it’s her pick rate). Deathslinger and Legion in frenzy have way less counterplay and are far less fun in chases than Spirit.
I wouldn't consider Legions frenzy a chase, because there's no threat of being downed by it. Basically Legions chases are 1 hit only, but he doesn't have literally anything to help him with downing you if you're already injured, much like Plague. There plenty of counterplay there, because there's no BS going on, it's just a standard chase. Now is it boring? A little, but I don't feel cheated against a Legion. Spirit and Deathslinger are completely miserable to play against because you have almost nothing to go off when getting chased, and your skill as a survivor doesn't matter.
-
Oh lawd he sure was comin'. Took them a few years but they gave our big boi an actual ability now and that's all that matters. But yeah you're not gonna be getting away from Bubba for free anymore. Greeding pallets and windows will likely get you downed now against him so you should be playing it safe.

i dont play billy at all
The basekit changes that were made aren't bad, the add-ons still need work but I think they might be changing them.
And if you consider ptb Billy to now, I'd call his basekit rework mostly a success. Doesn't do almost anything if you're good at Billy, and punishes you for being bad. Curving and mindgaming with his saw is still possible, you just do it a bit less and have to be certain that you're making the right decision or you're only getting an M1 because you'll overheat.

I have gotten against a billy today and he seemed the same as always, he's ok
Yeah I think we were too quick to judge the Billy changes. The PTB was definitely bad, but they've made some good changes to it on live. Don't think I overheated once in the several Billy games I played today, with addons or addonless.
-
This update was...expected. I've played a couple of Billy games and honestly the cooldown doesn't seem to be affecting me at all, so if this is how the overheat is supposed to work then I take back what I said about the Billy changes, he feels decent.
But man, those auras...
