Midwich in solo queue.
-
Hmm.. i might have missed this, but.. if you bring Distortion and go up against an adept Nemesis, will you start the trial with 2 tokens?

Ì have been trying to climb up from multiple rank resets of not playing and I have been stuck at rank 16 for about 3 months.
Just as likley to get a team that wipes from the first down, as you are to get a killer thats not able to get a single hit., Either way zero pips and i still want to roblox myself.
If anyone wants to rank up as solo survivor, here's my advice: run Kindred, Borrowed time, and Spine chill.
You will get annoyed with how often you pip running these.
1. Teammate gets hooked (Spine chill kept it from being you).
2.Kindred will tell you if you can make the save before someone else (do gens otherwise).
3. Rescue with borrowed time.
That's it.
I run these for 'safe rescue' challenges and pip basically every game at purple ranks.
Seriously, that's it. Stealth around the killer and rescue people. See ya soon.

Meh, the problem is this is a casual game at it's core. They ######### up with the rank reset giving the illusion it's a super competitive high level game. If everyone reset further the casuals would play with the casuals and the sweaty try hards would play with the other sweaty try hards. And those of us who play both ways can have some more varied matches. As it stands now I have to sweat and sweat and sweat at red rank killer because depipping takes for ######### ever and/or I just get bullied trying to play for fun. At least with Survivor I can stay around purple where match making gives a wider variety of players.
Agree. Why are there only 20 ranks? There are plently of colors. Would mm'ing be as big of an issue if there were 30 ranks? 40?
The daily players would still find each other after a day or two.. seems better than a rank 15 going against all reds for data collection experience.
-
BHVR does not care about consoles released 7 years ago. There is no incentive for them to care. To them, this is a you problem. I can't find a ps5 either. Best of luck.
-
I feel the need to vouch for Appraisal a bit. I think some of you are sleeping on this perk. Bringing Appraisal, Plunderer's and a hatch offering is basically the easiest way to escape in this game (though facing an afk killer may be easier).
I love this combo for certain challenges.. you are basically guaranteed a key in 4/5 games. I'd definitely give this one the edge over power struggle. Try it out.. it's pretty funny seeing items scattered all over the place too.
-
100% agree. This perk needs a rework. You'd have to be really uncomfortable as survivor for this perk to give you problems. Really zero reason to run this.
-
I like her because she looks sassy and the bloodweb worked out well.
-
Congrats on obtaining rank 10 killer. You have now arrived in red rank hell. Enjoy your stay.
-
It's the same reason why my teammates worked with the killer to get me one hooked last friday:
To irritate the ######### out of people.
-
No excuse for her to not finish that last gen. Left behind challenge isn't even an excuse.. she could have just gone right back to hiding once gen popped. Sounds like a wuss.
-
You should loan your friend $5.
-
I ran it's tier 1 on doctor last weekend. It was ok. I'd say I averaged 2 instadowns per match with it. I found it's value is mostly against people getting too cute around the hook. I'm interested to try it on hag.
-
I only play this game with a glass of vodka and only on the weekends. That's basically where I'm at.
-
Deception. If I hear that locker get opened again or if the killer loses me... my match is complete.
-
Hmm.. ya know if you turn crossplay on, you won't find the one killer not playing crossplay over and over.
-
When this happens I'll go into autopilot mode and start playing silly. I'll remember how I'm supposed to be shocking survivors 500 times as doctor. I'll just follow people around, endlessly shocking and wondering what the hell number I'm even at. Then I'll get bored and try and get the match over with.

It transfers because it goes by PSN account. You'll keep all of your unlocked DLC, cosmetics, and bloodpoints.
Though the best thing to do in general is use the transfer data option when setting up the PS5. Just have both your PS4 and PS5 on and it will copy all of your save data over. Not sure if that actually benefits DBD at all, but for any other games it's useful.
You then want to download the PS5 version of DBD, as it's also possible to play the PS4 version on the PS5, so don't get them mixed up. (if you do, the only thing is that you'll be playing with lower graphics settings and possibly locked in to a lower framerate, but there's also a weird thing where swapping between the PS4 and PS5 versions of DBD will mess up your daily rituals and you end up with different ones on the same day or lose them entirely)
The only thing that doesn't transfer is trophies (because it's technically a different game) so you'll be starting from scratch there.
Oh i see. Good stuff. I'm playing the ps+ version of dbd, so i guess I'd have to purchase the ps5 version. Tho it would transfer DLC because I've actually purchased that for ps4.. if i have that correct.
Hmm kinda wanna ps5 now.
-
@Seraphor said:
PS4 for me was sluggish, low frame rate, graphics were ok, but the main issue is that my PS4 tried to launch itself into orbit whenever I played the game.
Switching to PS5 was such an improvement, it's virtually like playing on PC. Full 60FPS, silent running, not the slightest issue with the game now.
Were you able to transfer your ps4 progress to ps5? Or did you have to start from scratch?
I'm on ps4 pro atm and it doesn't give me too much of a problem. I've even been playing cyberpunk.
-
I'd like to play around with Oppression a bit.. I'll probably be waiting awhile.
-
Sounds like you embarrassed him and he facecamped to salvage one kill. He then laughably says ggez to further irritate you and it sounds like it worked!
-
Hmm.. I'm now much less excited to get a ps5.
-
To quote Puppers.. "You know how to tell whether a perk is strong? When you hate seeing it."
Survivors nearly always spawn next to gens. CI really hurts their momentum at the start if they aren't being stealthy.

I play Bubba a ton at rank 1 and I’d say the primer bulb is almost just as good as the yellow chili if you are combining it with a chili.
There’s a lot of cases where you need all 3 charges to get rid of a pallet loop and then the survivor gets to another pallet right nearby. It’s very nice to have them come back much faster.
Light chassis is great as well for wallhacks, especially on indoor maps.
Iri flesh is good too but kind of relies on the survivors being bad to work.
For my build I usually do discordance, tinkerer, pop, bamboozle. Sometimes I swap out the tinkerer for monitor and abuse. Discordance is just amazing on any low mobility killer and especially Bubba since finding multiple survivors sets you up for potentially a game ending multi-saw. Tinkerer is free chainsaws a lot of the time, and good information at the worst. Pop is just the most reliable stall perk, and bamboozle is too good on Bubba to ever take off.
Do you ever use trail of torment as a 4th perk?
My current build is pop/m&a/bbq/tinkerer and was planning on adding Discordance somewhere (it's so good).
I like your style! I'm not red ranks tho.. so not sure about bamboozle yet.
-
Any of you bubbas like running Trail of Torment? Seems like it could be decent with pop.
-
I think binding of kin exists because the candyman movie got delayed and they've been putting all their eggs into the 5th anniversary event.
-
I'd like to see Nemesis. I would also be ok with the 8 ft tall lady because I'd imagine she'd be pretty easy to see coming toward me.

I'm very concerned if it is Nemesis, in a way, Nemesis is this big prestigious monster in horror and I'm scared and am sure they can and will ######### him up
I think they'll do right by whatever characters they go forward with. The SH chapter was solid; midwich looks great and PH is creepy.

105% cakes and a new RE map.. yes plz
-
Ya as others have said, this is more about RE with a sidedish of dbd. Also gives dbd fans plenty of time to preorder RE Village.
-
Chopping up potatoes like i just got hired at in n out burger
-
Maybe an indoor map where dogs jump out of windows.
-
Cool maybe it's based on operation racoon city
-
I run it basically every game. I just like to know what everyone is doing. I genuinely feel like it helps everyone in the trial make better decisions. Solo Q groups need all the help they can get. Also works decently with PT as a sort of ghetto bond.
-
Some of you got off easy. I've had multiple games where my survivor teammates straight up worked with the killer.
Following me with Bond, making loud noise notifications. Tbagging once killer finds me (killer walks right by them). Then they all have a fiesta on my corpse as i bleed out for 4 minutes..
In another match i elude the killer only to find their friend intentionally blocking the only 99% gate (GL having gate awareness when playing survivor against 3 people).
In another game, someone followed me into a basement, and then proceeded to spam locker notifications. Then im downed and the killer nods while teammate just tbags and killer ignores him completely lol. Thankfully this only happens once every 3 months or so.
-
I like crossplay. I get fast queues at rank 7, and my globe teammates are usually more competent than not.
-
I went 1/1 on this last night (I also brought spine chill).
Basically work on a gen and stand up when premonition sounds. Fully point 2-3 times (maybe turn 5 degrees each time or so). You might get hit, but eh whatever.
I basically just spammed (full) point every time premo lit up for the entire match. Kind of a shockingly stupid challenge for page 4, but this route is waaay better than heal 15 health states and safe hook rescue 25 people ._.
-
I understand the placebo argument. But the thing about PT is that you don't have to seek out teammates to get value out of it. Once 2 gens are left, they'll find you. Maybe not intentionally- but when they do, it's gonna be great.
I both like and hate this perk in solo q. Solo groups really need all the help they can get, gen wise.
Plus there are those situations where the killer has pgtw and barely arrives at the gen in time. PT can be clutch in turning that woulda been 95% gen to 100%. I run it to give my solo groups an edge.. ideally. Hopefully.

Yes, it's worth sending it to Support to get the evidence looked at, as long as you made an in-game report at the same time.
This is the Support address: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
So since I failed to click the button on the end game screen, my report will be more or less disregarded?
On the submit ticket page, it asks if an in game report was made, but doesn't specify that picking the wrong option makes it moot. I have a 14 minute video.
I'll keep this in mind for the future, but these are straight up griefing squads.. they should be held accountable even if i forgot to dot an i or cross a t.

@CheesyGuy said:
You can post it and if you have evidence it will be more efficent however even the gameplay will not prove their exact motive. They can reject all the accusations and said that you were unlucky or killer was tunneling you and etc... I mean it is better if you post it so that the BHVR will decide it but I doubt that they will face any problem because of that.
This went waaay beyond tunneling.
They began the game just crowding around 1 hook and farming each other with borrowed time. Once they were each at death hook, the survivors chased me around making loud explosions for the sole purpose of getting me killed.
Once im hooked, they all just gather around my hook and tbag.. (killer stands there ignoring them). Once i die, killer lets all 3 of them go.. literally escorts them to gate. It was disrespectful AF.

I almost feel like a map offering might be required to try out devour/undying. Saloon, Midwich, Lerys, Hawkins. Half of your perks gone after a minute or two.. just brutal. Definitely risk/reward.

Like I said, to each their own. I still think going through with the rank rest when the devs know there's a bug in the emblem system, would be yet another bad move on their part given whats occured over the last couple days.
Ya i'd be for it. I haven't played the new patch yet.. survivor looks genuinely uncomfortable with every killer now being given base coup de grace (probably botched that), and their new pallet teleporting ability (looks fun).
I definitely want to play killer this weekend (for same reasons) and try out devour/undying. Tome challenges are always fun busywork too.

I don't really care, because I always do my best to stay away from the red ranks sweaty mess. So a rank downgrade for me is always welcome (so I stay between green and purple). I wouldn't mind. But on the other hand, I want them to fix it asap so the sweaty ones don't get deranked.
I agree with this. I've always felt being between purple and green ranks is the sweet spot for dbd. Once I get to rank 7 or so, the time it takes to find a match seems to multiply significantly. But this is more of a casual mindset, which is my preference.
I understand how being deranked to 13 would drive some people nuts. But for me, I prefer quick queues and the challenge of crawling back in solo q.

To people who actually enjoy the update, congrats-- can't be mad that some of us are having fun.
But the real big thing that a lot of people are upset about here isn't necessarily the new animations (though a lot of people hate them), or the new UI (though a lot of people hate them).

It's this.
Here's what they do. We all know they wanna save face. We all know the old UI still exists.
So implement the image above, call it "developers cut" or "community edition" or some crap, and charge auric cells (or straight up cash) for this version of the UI.
People who don't care can ride it out with the current UI. Development time won't have been "wasted".
Everyone else if they so choose, can purchase a version of the image above.. one that's more console friendly. BHVR would make money, ppl would only ######### about the cost at that point, and I'd happily contribute financially.

Completely agree, but it would be nice if BHVR would at least stop pretending to care about community input. I would rather have them just be honest and say “we’re going to do what we want, deal with it” than their current dishonest approach which is to solicit feedback, tell people they are listening to feedback, and then ignoring that feedback
Isn't this how most of the adult world works, tho?
Act fake = profits.

$10/hr. Must host.

I would have actually preferred loot boxes over the UI and movement changes.

It's hard to look at on a 65" tv for extended periods of time. The survivors also move like robot people with bird legs who ordered grande fajita nachos at lunch.
