yesterday I would have say "absolutely not"
Today is a total yes.
Started to look for a new game, already.
If someone has some advices, they're welcome.
last year has been rebooted on steam, with new #########, and the devs are very grateful of their small community and are quick to fix bugs. Thats where i went atleast...

Every killer is complaining and hardly anyone is quitting. The entire community has complained every trash change which has basically been all of them, and never quit. Take the hint, they dont care about the players, they care about the money.

they suffer a ######### community because of that.

I've never had problems with DS precisely because I hate tunneling. I almost never eat the stun and if I do, the fault is mine for not being more attentive to who I was chasing. So no, it seems to me that fit perfectly in the game and a counter is needed for the tunneling.
well if its meant to tunnel, shouldnt it deactivate when the killer hooks a different survivor?

@DwightOP said:
That's some heavy bias here. I can imagine how you are only playing killer day in day out, never git gud. Always tunnel and camp and now complain about get The DESERVED punishment by DS users. You probably never played survivor for a huge amount of time and therefore you have no emphaty towards survivors who get tunneled and camped.
I am rank 1 in both and have 2.6 K hours. I definitely play both sides evenly and never really play swf.

Decisive Strike is good for the game in its current state. In the past, Decisive Strike was a game-changing and unfair perk, especially when all of the survivors ran it. Nowadays, its sole purpose is to punish tunneling killers.
Decisive Strike will only ever affect you if you tunnel. There's no way to abuse it because it:
- Can only be used once.
- Has criteria that need to be met to be used (hooked then downed and picked up).
- Is on a timer.
you can abuse it by jumping in a locker in front of the killer if he tries to down u to apply pressure. You can literally not be tunneled and still use the perk. They say its anti tunnel but it isnt. I have an unpleasant experience as killer and survivor because of the perk.

Its honestly boring and very rarely ever fun to go up against. I don't mind having some things to slow down game but when the game becomes unplayable for survivors because repairing a gen or healing takes 5 minutes or more, that's when it's a problems.
Maybe if they reworked the base game instead of expecting perks to fix it, then they would have themselves a fun balanced game.

I am referring to his powers, not tunneling or camping which is universal. Dream snares screw chases, dream pallets ultimately are devastating to a normal chase because you waste time dropping the pallet when most of the time it will end up being fake.
And my god, he did not need the ability to teleport to generators. There are so many things wrong with that.
Thats the same as me saying survivors shouldnt be able to heal. A killer needs to be able to end a chase. As survivor you have to strategically run in circles. Killers need to be able to end that. 1 dead hard can turn a 30 second chase into a 3 minute one. Please be unbias or leave.

How to pressure gens as most killers: Slug, hook, injure survivors, etc etc
How to pressure gens as Freddy: Equip 2 add-ons
Do you like going against ruin every game? Then i suggest you side for strong killers. I have used god add ons as freddy plenty of times and get my ass gen rushed. I have a theory about survivors. I have noticed that I work more on gens when versing stronger killers and when i play stronger killers, survivors work more.

nothing about these archives shows any level of thought or practicality or even decent reward for the grind. It's hilariously incompetent and it's probably single handedly ruined survivor expectations for these challenges and that's bad when you can't even get people motivated to grind. I mean killers are complaining about the NOED challenge and that's way at the end, survivors have an impossible challenge right at the beginning of this dumb thing. The whole reason they put this thing out was to sell battlepasses and there's no decent rewards on survivor end. I can't understand BHVRs logic on this at all if they keep frustrating survivors both with lack of cosmetics and gimmicky challenges we're just gonna get bored and the player count will drop 10-20k like it does frequently. I never recommend this game to anyone and I feel like I play it because I'm an idiot, F13 and Last Year are dead and Soul at Stake looks like a playstation game and I don't fully trust Chinese games.
I mean, the games fun but like I definitely dont feel like it cares that I am playing it. I think last year is gonna make a comeback

Better question: why should survivors have 60 seconds of free generator repair time simply because they got hooked and have a perk? It's not anti-tunnel. It's used as invincibility. If survivors can do their objective, killers should be able to do theirs. DS should cancel the second you touch a generator.
exactly. I am all for anti tunnel, but this perk is still disgusting. I remember everyone thought it was great until like always, the survivors figured out how to abuse it.
Same with The Oni, he loses his ability on pick up, so what survivors would do is hide in lockers so you cant even slug them. Its bs. Oni losing his power on pick up is bs. Ds is bs.
The devs really need to think every little thing through nowadays because everyone figures out how to take advantage. Seriously what the hell are they gonna do about legion using nemesis and beast of prey on next chapter??? IDK WHAT THEY ARE DOING BUT IT AINT RIGHT.

One down is likely to happen the second they get unhooked. That's not normal gameplay. That's playing like a bad sport. The other down is only because you played that way. Then you get off scott free with your idea of a change to the perk, despite actually playing like a bad sport, and it's not downing players indiscriminately, it's downing specific players who already were unable to play to keep them from playing further. I see killers all the time have Ruin + Dying Light and then slug as well. Ruin and Dying Light are already extremely powerful. Ruin lasts long enough usually to get Dying Light stacks, then the game is slowed down naturally to the point where gens take forever to pop, but then you're still making them waste more time while also intentionally preventing a player from playing the game. It's almost exactly the same as old school shooters where you stand at the point someone is spawning, and shoot them constantly upon spawning. There's no difference, except you still get to move while doing this because it takes them forever to "respawn"(get picked back up) as well.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/862542#Comment_862542
For killers, if they slug, they'll still get hit by DS with the change I mentioned(it's not my change, a lot of people have suggested this, in fact I believe a lot of the ones that did were people who play killer mostly), if they follow the survivor for 30 seconds, then they wasted 30 seconds anyways. That survivor could stand at a pallet while they chase them, throw the pallet in their face when DS stops working, and continue playing the game,
As for the survivor things that you mentioned, crawling to a gen only means they're not recovering. if someone picks them up at a gen, then they're wasting 2 survivor's time, unless the one who crawled to the gen recovered while the one on the gen worked, and still doesn't really change anything. Crawling while slugged is extremely slow, and this would only work with SWF. Unbreakable would be the same as it is now. It wouldn't change anything so I dunno why you mentioned this. I'm not sure about Head On either. A slugged survivor can't Head On, and a survivor who still has DS active doing the DS + Head On combo is honestly just a waste(and you can completely avoid it as killer by not going after them the second they're unhooked), because the DS stun is pointless as you're wasting it for the Head On. It's literally only to be funny. As for survivors running in front of the killer to waste your time, that's a possibility, but all killers are faster than survivors. You might be able to do this for like...3 or 4 seconds, but after that the killer going to outpace the survivor. I mean you can let them do it, they're only wasting their own time by not running to the nearest generator. You have 2 survivors off generators by them doing this.
Also, yes, SOMETIMES people will farm you off the hook right in front of the killer's face. But I'm going to be honest, it's very rarely, and they're usually being dicks. That said, there are MANY MANY MANY TIMES(in fact I encounter this FAR more than I encounter the thing you mentioned) where a killer has left the general vicinity, I've almost went into struggle IN THE BASEMENT, and the killer is literally standing 5 seconds from the basement the moment I get to the door. I have to run into a locker, or start working on a generator to force a pull and there goes my DS. Totally the survivors' faults right?
Also, you're telling me to bring Unbreakable to counter your bad behavior? Really? I mean it's not like most killers complain about that too or anything, despite it actually being used to counter that bad behavior. Maybe I don't like being forced to use perks to counter a killer's bad attitude, but people like you keep forcing me to when I play survivor. If only there weren't band aid fixes for this sort of thing and Behavior actually discouraged that type of behavior with game mechanics that weren't abuseable, but no, they continue making bandaid fixes that then people with that type of behavior complain about.
As for saying the perk is anti tunnel, not anti slug, if you slugged someone who was just unhooked, you tunneled. That person is unable to play the game AFTER JUST BEING PUT BACK IN. If the suggestion I mentioned was anti slug, it'd work whenever you were slugged, not whenever you were slugged right after being unhooked.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/862545#Comment_862545
No, there still would be. The times where a killer has left the direct vicinity of the hook only to come back immediately and chase me down right after I was unhooked when a survivor didn't unhook me in the killer's face is far more than when someone unhooked right in front of the killer's face. Most survivors from my experience only unhook in the killer's face if they're low ranked.
Your suggested changes are to make killers get off scott free for being dicks.
- you misunderstood some of my ds predictions
- Having to use a perk because of a "bad attitude" is nothing compared to feeling obligated to use a perk because gen speeds are so quick.
The killer is supposed to apply pressure. I dont tunnel. I go after the guy if he runs into me or if i run into him. On the reg, its them that runs into me. I deserve to have that pressure applied because of their misplay. No one deserves invincibility for 60 seconds no matter what. The only killers who can secure that kill quickly after the ds are spirit and nurse. The current ds and your ds promotes toxicity whereas mine gives the killer a ######### chance atleast. The killer is the power role. Doesnt really seem too powerful when he could lose by simply doing his job. Tunneling is annoying yes. But you have borrowed, ds, teammates, dead hard, (if used correctly) camaraderie and short gen speeds. So desperate survivors are to get there teammate out and they lose when they try so hard sometimes. Then blame the killer for using a poor playstyle. A playstyle that wouldnt win had the survivors just let one person die and work through it. Yes its annoying. No its not efficient. Even when i see there isnt a ds in the match, I still slug the guy off hook, i dont hook him, i slug him, because time is SO IMPORTANT AS KILLER THAT I NEED HIM ON THE GROUND AND NOT WORKING.

I originally started playing the game due to its licenced killers 2 years ago, not so much because I migrated from the online playing community on PS4.
I say that to say I play exclusively as a killer particularly licenced killer and I can't help but notice the biased in the games design and overall community in regards to catering to the survivor playing experience as opposed to killer.
Why is there a double standard in unsportsman like behavior among killers and not survivors ?How is is tunneling not ok but Looping and gen rushing is perfectly acceptable and expected every session ? I have survivors trolling me at they end of my session because of the type of perks I have. So apparently there's an unofficial rule that says NOED is cheating but its perfectly acceptable to gen rush and loop through multiple sessions. And the higher in rank you go the more its a crutch that survivors use to go up in ranks
I can't help but notice there's a weird entitlement that's been created in the community among the Survivors.
Apparently if I don't play to the standards of the survivors that basically allows them to a Better chance at surviving then I'll be trolled at he end of he session the majority of the time. If i am not far enough away from a survivor by the time someone one gets them down I'll be trolled at the end if the session
And why is it so ridiculously difficult to rank up as a killer? I play as killer and my roommate plays as survivor. I've been playing the game longer then him and the means in which he ranks up compared to my killer rank is ridiculous and he's not even a gamer.
Why is the game design and even communal altitudes biased towers killers as opposed to survivors .
If you see devs adding in crappy perks to slow the game down instead of just reworking gens to be bias toward killer then okay man.

They want to buff solos first to the standard of swf. Then they can make killers stronger against swf. If they were to buff killers to be better against swf, solos would be left behind. With the new Kindred buff, it's a step in the right direction.
Changing a perk doesnt add anything to the game. How often do u see kindred?
Survivors each need a small diamond at the the top right of their survivor icons in the bottom left of screen. When in a chase, it would light up for that specific survivor. That would be a step in the right direction. Telling the survivors who is being chased but with no auras. Thats swf but solo basically. But perks fix the game right? Perks like ruin fix the game. Because killers are obligated to use a perk that could maybe possibly distupt the quick gen speeds.
No hate towards you its just... Perks are definitely not the right way to go to fix imbalances

If Kindred's rework is an example of how they're going to buff solos, I'm pretty disappointed.
Sacrificing a perk slot for access to SOME of the information that being on comms provides all the while being restricted to when you're seeing this information is a bad-aid fix, at best. It also limits build diversity.
I honestly doubt that this "buff solo -> buff killer" plan will ever see completion, as there's no way to reasonably buff killers to match the unlimited information flow of SWF.
They really do expect perks to just fix the game. They keep adding these gen perks too. Killers keep saying gen speeds are a problem. They need to just REWORK THEM.
THEY ARE BORING
THEY ARE TOO SHORT
IT IS LITERALLY JUST PRESSING A BUTTON FOR 80 SECONDS.
Wasting perk slots in an attempt to save myself from an unbalanced game is bs
-
@ProfessorDunwich said:
The coordination survivors have on comms is insane. I'm not expecting a response, to be honest.
They said theyre trying to buff normal survivors up to swf. As in give normal survivors the same kind of info that a swf team would have.
After this they would balance the game for killer which is smart because then everyone would be at a relatively similar amount of time efficiency for survivors therefore gen speeds and everything else could be taken care of as there would be no advantage for playing swf vs not. Killer would be at a disadvantage for a few til they balance it BUT!
The problem is: They havent done ######### anything about that and Ive been hearing about this "we're buffing solo survivors" bs for ages AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE.
Not only is it painful as survivor having bad teammates who don't realize the killer is on someone else, yes even at rank 1 idk how. BUT AS KILLER TOO bc swf is DISGUSTINGLY STRONG like sorry I thought I was playing the power role. So if they buff solo, they could see the problems better and fix them, but it seems like they arent doing that and instead adding perks expecting it to fix the game

Rofl. Gods are you wrong on every part.
1) Just because some Killers troll does not mean I lied about slugging being a valid tactic. But as we'll see here; you clearly don't have any grasp on reality.
2) God loops are clearly an oversight. This is proven by maps being adjusted to remove them.
3) The Devs cater to KILLERS!? Sure, if you ignore Legion being gutted. Nurse being beaten into a coma. Spirit losing most of her mindgame-ability. The fact that every Killer recently has had powers that Survivors in some way control..
But sure, buddy; the Devs cater too Killers. and I 'lied' about slugging being a viable tactic. Uh-huh. Apparently telling the truth is now lying.
If by 'cater too' you mean 'Completely ignore the complaints thereof & nerf the only viable Killers in red ranks', then yeah.
id argue that the fake vault wasn't necessarily a mindgame but it was fun dammit

The counter you're proposing is 3 people off generators. That gives the killer plenty of pressure. Nearly nothing is being done in the time you're chasing the unhooker while the guy on the ground is slugged. This is extremely in the favor of the killer, not the survivors.
If the killer does successfully down both, he did still tunnel, because he downed the unhooked person first, which was the the action of tunneling, then chased the unhooker because the unhooked person was on the ground already ready for them to pick up.
alot of ds users bring in unbreakable. So they get time efficiency out the wazoo and invincibility. Maybe if survivors didnt save right in front of my fat face seconds after i hook them, then there would be no "tunnel" Its bs. The survivors are putting themselves in a hot spot and winning from it because of a perm that grants invincibility
-
@Atrushan88 said:

If they made it where if someone else was hooked, it deactivated, that would make it SO easy to avoid. Just slug the person who had DS, chase and hook the person who unhooked, then go back and hook the person who had DS. That seems to be standard killer gameplay and in no way would DS ever activate because people would do this actively to avoid it. It's pretty silly that anyone could think this would be a good idea. The only changes I've seen proposed for DS that I agree with are.
- DS lasts 30 seconds.
- DS timer only runs when the survivor is not in the dying state.
That would make it 100% anti tunnel, and remove the issue of people who are applying too much pressure. People would still complain about it, but it'd be the same people who tunneled in the first place, which is very likely most of the people who complain about DS currently.
The perk is anti tunnel. Not anti slug. With my changes, it is up to your teammates to get you up if you dont wanna be hooked again. If you dont want to worry about trash teammates or be time efficient with your swf team, you could bring unbreakable which people bring rn w ds. Tunneling would be to focus on one guy the entire game. i dont know about you but in no way is the killer going for another guy to prevent getting ds'd when LETS JUST SAY BECAUSE THIS IS USUALLY HOW IT GOES: Survivor saves survivor right near you like a pos and now one of them is invincible for 60 seconds, free to do an entire gen (almost) and you as the killer want to down him, well hes in a locker. Cant waste time so you go for the other guy. Now the ds wanker gets to work. While you are getting looped by the other guy. You down him quickly. NOW YOU HOOK HIM. You go to ds wank and he hides in a locker bc HE STILL CAN BECAUSE ITS A LONG 60 SECONDS! AND IM SUPPOSED TO SLOW THE GAME DOWN BUT THIS GUY IS IN HERE AND IF I PULL HIM OUT I COULD LITERALLY LOSE THE MATCH! With my changes however, I could slug him and he wouldnt be able to work, which is fair. I have to apply pressure somehow right? And so I hook his other guy after a few, teammates get ds guy up, not like i was trying to tunnel i just need to slow the game bc it takes 2 minutes to complete all the gens.
WITH YOUR CHANGES HOWEVER:
KILLER SIDE
- Killers continue slugging because it will waste the seconds of their invincibility inevitably because when they get up they wont be able to head toward a gen as quickly
- Killers would follow the survivor for 30 seconds and then down them because that isn't enough time and they would get the hook as if ds didnt even exist
SURVIVOR SIDE
- Survivors would crawl to gens after slug and wait to be picked up so they could keep their ds for working so they couldnt be caught whilst working
- Unbreakable
- Head on if killers wait the 30 seconds and then there's actually no pressure applied at all because they get away no matter what
- Might spend time jumping in front of killer to slow him down from chasing other people
IN CONCLUSION YOURS DOESNT FIX A THING
-

Fine, let me adjust my definition. Preventing a player from being able to actively take part in the game after they are unhooked. Is that better?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/862479#Comment_862479
The thing is, if I'm unhooked and you're right there coming after me, of course I'm gonna jump in a locker. I'm not going to allow you to circumvent the consequences of tunneling me by slugging me. Go chase the guy who unhooked me and I won't need to get in a locker.
What so you can get on a gen right after? I am not tunneling then am i? Survivors always say that "the killers just fail to apply pressure correctly" Well its kinda impossible when gen speeds are so quick and I cant even slug a survivor who is invincible for 60 long seconds. It should be changed to
- after entering a locker it goes away
- If a killer hooks a different survivor after you have been unhooked then it goes away.
Thats all. Id be fine with them increasing the time even. But only if those changes were implemented. The perk is bs mate

2 minutes, each hook stage is 60 seconds, not 75. People use DS because of your tactics, not because they want to bully you. No one takes DS off because of the way people play. It's no fun being stuck on a hook until you get unhooked and then having only 2 seconds of freedom to being forced to eat dirt. Might as well be playing an old school shooter where people just stood at the place you spawned and constantly shoot you upon spawning. That's fun too right?
well they do use it to bully. And even if they dont, that advantage is disgusting. You blame the killer for your teammates farming.

thats funny. You know what good survivors do? they hide in lockers right in front of you and deliberately try to get caught again just to waste time. Your statement could go both ways.
"If killers were good then maybe the devs would understand how unbalanced it can be when the killer camps and slugs at will."
The game punishes YOU (Both Survivor and Killer) for the mistakes you make, and by mistakes I don't mean simply missing a hit or not timing the loop correctly, I mean an overall understanding of the tools/map/way survivors/killers play.
Notice how everyone wants to claim "gen rush", yet nobody bothers to talk about how much slugging and camping there is. Everyone wants to talk about how "broken" loops are, but nobody bothers to talk about how broken some loops are against survivors... you pretty much ignore the pallet and swing, or dead zones that have nothing in them to even run around in a circle.
Yep, game is unbalanced...but it was never balanced to begin with and it will never be.
camping is a bad strategy. It takes what 2 min 30 sec to die on hook yes? Okay so it takes like less than 3 min to complete all gens.
Of course people will slug, i slug when the team i verse is dicks but if theyre nice, i play the hatch game. I also try to slug ds. That is just smart. Would you rather get tunneled til death or slugged?
Camping is trash (unless at end of match) and I wouldnt have to slug if there wasnt a ds. This doesnt compare to how strong survivors can be. This is annoying playstyle vs OP playstyle.

me too actually but no one should lose because they lack the ability to win. They should lose because they lack the skill or made mistakes. When gens can go that quick, theres times where you dont have the chance to slow the game.

But you can't balance around outliers. No matter what you'll always have large skill gaps in a game like this.
Games like siege balance around competitive players. If you do that, then the not as good players will inevitably become better. Right now the skill for survivors is their ability to run in circles most efficiently which takes a while to figure out and master loops. Now im not saying that survivors should be nerfed right? I am saying that they need to rework generators completely to make them
- longer
- not as boring
- more engaging
- More thrilling and really anything that isnt just holding a button
They need to do an endgame collapse to generators because that is something all players can adapt to

Well, again, your example leaves out a lot of important elements.
Getting a successful hook gives a LOT of advantages to the killer. It puts the hooked survivor out of commission, it forces another survivor to waste time traveling to the hook, unhooking them, walking away from the hook, and healing the unhooked survivor; it gives a noise notification once the survivor is unhooked, and it allows the killer to disrupt multiple survivors at once if he chooses to follow the notification.
The nature of the Killer's objective is fundamentally different from the survivors' objective. The more hooks you get, the more the game slows down and the easier it becomes to get another hook. The closer you get to achieving your goal, the harder it becomes for the survivors to achieve their goal.
Not to mention that many killers will prioritize getting a third hook on a single survivor if possible, rather than getting first hooks on multiple survivors. Once they've eliminated at least one survivor, the game swings heavily in their favor.
Also, I don't think it's true that a perfect survivor team will always beat a perfect killer. Here's an example video of a full tryhard SWF team (Featuring a designated looper with OoO) going up against a full tryhard Freddy, and Freddy ultimately emerged victorious:
With the help of an addon yes. Top tier killers obviously have a chance whilst lower cannot at all without a snowball and even then thats on the survivors for making mistakes more than killer for being good

Yeah I know its rare, thats why I said "If survivors were better" the devs would realize how unbalanced it is

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_NFysTLpc19FKaHzOJtKfLHrvpAS5HpT/view , video wont post so here's a google drive , ping to the dedicated server was 60 for me pretty good! although hitboxes didn't seem to like it , my friends ping (person who recorded this) was 65-70, and i got hit through god pallet while the killer was on the other side but i don't use nvidia so it wasnt clipped.
Killers (Characters, Not players)
Since spirit is getting nerfed pretty soon i'm not going to use her as my main point but nurse has been broken for years now, and she just got nerfed a couple updates ago, and spirit (i know i said i wasn't going to use her as my main point but this needs to be addressed) has been a low skill cap killer , yes i notice tracking comes into big play while playing her but considering most survivors are RUNNING in a chase theres scratch marks and considering it the survivor isn't using Iron will you can be heards so scratch mark juking isn't really a option since she can bump into you and hear you, and in the future update she is going to not be able to bump into you which is nice :)
Killers (Players)
Now i'm not trying to discriminate as one side because i play both sides majorly survivor but i do enjoy playing killer, Killer is a power role which i do understand and survivor shouldn't hold the balance in the game although survivor is nerfed almost every update as killer gets buffed, Many perks have been nerfed, gutted, from what they used to be, This game is one of a kind and i wouldnt like to see it go away but almost anything enough killers complain about is nerfed, I.E. Meta perks isn't something that should be complained about these days You can barely survive with them, ######### survivor is literally someone living off of scrap from the scrap yard, rarely you get great things, sometimes you get ok things and most of the time you get nothing
SURVIVOR (Players, And feelings about the side)
Playing survivor at the moment most definitely is not enjoyable, and you can ask any survivor out there who is half decent that the game is going downhill atm for survivor, its really hard to enjoy a game with a semi decent killer , and with killer queues being so long you cant really find anyone trying to have fun, and its usually just the same build, Why use a fun build when you have a hour long wait time to most likely get bullied by survivors just because you want to have fun, survivor is honestly just annoying to play at the moment and i'm not surprised why killer has such long queues
General Thoughts About The Game ( My Thoughts )
The game is very very unfun to play as survivor at the moment, currently hitboxes seem to be worse then they used to be which is honestly kinda disturbing that you can break hitboxes this badly, killer holds all the power now, survivor have barely any chance to have fun,
Queue time
Killer queue times take about 30-45 minutes , as survivor takes about 10, still pretty long just to get a 15 minute game, which makes it undesirable to use fun perk builds on killer, maybe sometimes on survivor but why use a fun build when you're most likely going to get bullied while using it then have to wait 30 or even 40 minutes to use it again?
Conclusion/End
To end off this post, Dbd is going downhill atm for survivors, killers hold TOO much power nowadays, and survivor seems to get the ######### end of the stick, its very hard to even enjoy playing one game like it used to be. anyways that's it to this post, Thanks for reading it even though it will probably get drowned out by everyone who doesn't want to hear this :/
I have more fun as survivor than killer and im rank 1 in both. Get 1 swf group and you see how bs unbalanced the game is for most killers.
Maybe if the devs had just reworked base game mechanics and gens then they wouldnt have to nerf all the fun out of survivors

Right, but I don't play like a usual Trapper. I like long, extended games with both sides getting good points. I would go out of my way to make games longer, even if that meant not getting a 3 or 4k.
well thats exactly how you would ensure pips then. So u get to rank 1 easier and get more points.

There is a pattern of behavior, typically players have a series of bad matches and feel like sharing their experiences (which can be amusing to read as I can sympathise with them) on the forums. I mean I am just as guilty as a post from me about ranks and pip usually means I didnt not have fun deranking in a series of matches for whatever reason.
To me a fun match is being able to stuff, get some points and not depip.
I have had nothing but dubs recently as killer. There is no salt. I was bored so I said what I think

People love to say the majority of rank 1's are these gods who never make mistakes and are the greatest in the game. Meanwhile, in reality, the majority of rank 1 players are complete dumbasses.
thats literally why i said if survivors were better then the devs would realize its problems

Homie, I got to rank 1 playing only Trapper with (mostly) yellow and grey add-ons. It sounds like you just need to step your game up.
trapper can snowball so well bro of course you did. I am rank 1 on both survivor and killer. My main bruv rn is easily freddy, but ghostface is cool too and i play them mostly and will resume playing spirit after nerf.

That's ridiculous to postulate.
What makes you think Survivors are worse players than Killers? There is no grounds for you to assume Killers are better players while Survivors are worse players.
The current state of the game is more logically a state of equilibrium between killer and survivor skill, unless you have solid evidence proving otherwise. Discrepancies in your experience result in your lack of skill in something, or possibly unfair mechanics on one side -- but only the devs know for sure because they're the ones with the data.
see whereas killers have to figure out mindgames, survivors run in circles, hold a button, and have a 3rd person view. Its not that killers are better, they take more skill.

You seem like you've had a few bad matches. Maybe you should take a break from DBD.
Maybe I should go play civilization huh?
Nah I actually typically play fairly well. Thats mainly because I am unable to play low tier killers due to all the problems above. I want to play them but survivors are really good and optimal and rank 1

hes over preforming... and on top of that, unfortunately, hes fun.
we cant have both. hes viable and enjoyable to play, which is against the rules.
i propose a nerf. hear me out.
we make him extremely slow. slower than hag. we make it so he need his dash to move around the map. but he also needs to injure survivors to get his power. so because hes slow, he cant injure, which means he will never get his power. BUT, we give him an addon that is basically required to play him that either makes him a little faster, or passively charge his power.... but it will never show up in his blood web.
we also need to remove his one shot ability and replace it with something more fair. maybe it hits someone, and in 300 seconds, they will be dropped one health state. but if he uses his ability, or misses, or thinks about using it, its no longer usable for the remainder of the trial.
its perfect!
In all seriousness, no slow down when gathering blood no loss of ability on pick up

agreed, slight changes should be made, nothing too much.

Survivors have gotten some huge nerfs to perks and pallet vacuums. I would say it's a lot easier to be a killer right now.
HA! maybe in like rank 20

So, just to begin with I wanna say that I love this game and I'm not making this post to hate on it or the developers (who I think, even with all the bugs and glitches have actually done a pretty good job so far). No other game has kept me entertained and interested for as long as this one, so kudos to you.
Said that, I think with the Oni (and maybe even earlier with Ghostface and Demogorgon) it's getting evident the developers are running out of ideas for new powers. What I mean is we're just getting this recycled ideas and "mashup" killers. The Oni has mecanics that could be comparable to stalking a survivor (like Myers) to fill up a bar and then the killer becomes the Hillbilly. With Ghostface we had the stalking mechanics (myers) mixed with the remove terror radius (like pig). With Demogorgon we have another teleporting killer (like the hag or freddy) just changing some of the conditions.
Still, it worked. I had a lot of fun playing with all these killers but it gets me worried for the future. I don't think it's a matter of the developers not having enough creativity but more about the limited sandbox they have to play with. I mean, in the end the survivor only have one objective; fix the generators and escape, while the killer only has to stop them. This leave us with limited options/archetypes for killers.
My point with this post is to ask you guys what you think. What could be done to the game so we could have more variety? Maybe add a new killer who is actually a new game mode? Like a mastermind that puts obstacles for survivors (like the coming resident evil PvP spin off). Because right now for me, as much as Im still invested in the game, it's getting really underwhelming.
TL;DR: Too many recycled mechanics. what can be done?
The forums are here for a reason, they should ask for ideas? The community has a lot of wicked ideas

I love the feeling of getting a cross map hatchet.
EDIT: Thank you all for your wonderful responses, I'm so glad to see all the love!
Its just fun. I almost wish it wasnt so fun so i didnt wanna play it bc it has so many problems.

Either you're baiting or you're a hardcore Survivor main.
i play both sides and think survivors are OP. This game ugly and back in the day i didnt really have much of a problem with blendettes. Like right on release yes, but like not when huntress came out. Even when spirit just came out the game was darker and looked better. And blendettes definitely werent a problem when spirit came out.

Better bleach the maps than blendette i guess.
blendette wasnt that bad a year ago, and even then the game was darker and creepier
