This is something to contact your consumer protection agency about. They should be able to tell you if it's violating any laws and any next steps to take.
I imagine Behaviour's lawyers would advise against responding to this thread regardless of whether they're at fault. Other users playing lawyer isn't very productive either, if you have a legal issue contact a real lawyer.
You're absolutely right, but I hope the problem could be addressed before needing to go there. If Behaviour doesn't respond, then they asked for this.

Yep, as chromeskull said, everything is fine.
"Other illustrations of fictitious price comparisons could be given. An advertiser might use a price at which he never offered the article at all; he might feature a price which was not used in the regular course of business, or which was not used in the recent past but at some remote period in the past, without making disclosure of that fact; he might use a price that was not openly offered to the public, or that was not maintained for a reasonable length of time, but was IMMEDIATELY reduced."
That is exactly what the 10% discount is for all unbreakable outfits. It basically implies the original price was 1200 auric cells if without the discount while that isnt true. The actual price is 1080 auric cells and for anyone new will think that these outfits are all temporarily on sale when they're not due to the false discount.

I'm just going to leave this here. I didn't come just to complain over nothing. https://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-idx?SID=e4dfdd04ab5cf9c0db8d18ce1d577887&mc=true&node=pt16.1.233&rgn=div5#se16.1.233_15

So? You're right, they've been there since the start. So why are you complaining? Why don't you just calm down and relax and literally nothing will go wrong for you. Jut chill out dude.
Because it's a fake discount. They're ILLEGAL in multiple states. Just as I explained earlier. This same thing has happened with Fallout 76 for false promotional practices.

Uhhhhh… how often are you in stores? New sales are up every other day.
I don't think you understand. These discounts for the unbreakable outfits have already been there since release.

But, It is a discount... Single cosmetic piece costs 400 auric cells, and they are giving 10% discount if you buy the whole cosmetic.
But you can't buy or wear separate pieces of a unbreakable outfit. You have to wear all the pieces together and buy it as a set. Therefore, the discount for them are fake as they haven't ever costed more than 1080 auric cells, except for Legendary outfits, but it's the exact same story.

i dont particulary mind him, however i dislike two aspects of his kit:
1) the ability to hardtunnel - granted this one was reduced quite significantly, but if a team mate decides to farm you off of the hook / cage with PH around you are basically screwed, thanks to his ability to play around anti tunnel perks. on the contrary i must admit that there is nothing more satisfying than harshly punishing survivors who get too cocky and unhook right in my face as PH.
2) him faking his ability to cheese chases. this one really sucks the fun out of my games with him imo, as there is so little you can do against this. go for the pallet or window? ranged attack. avoid the pallet / window? now he's after you like any normal M1 killer. it requires very little skill, but it removes any counterplay a survivor really has against him. i much rather love when you get some sick snipes on them with the power instead of just faking it over and over and over again until you get the M1 hit (also can we quickly talk about how amazing Im All Ears is on this killer?)
and when the killer happens to combine both of these aspects, well, you're in for one of the worst games you've had in a while.
so in the end its entirely up to the PH player whether i view my game with him as fun or not.
he has the potential ability to be extremely unfun, but that doesnt make every game with him bad.
due to that im not gonna vote eigther of the options and instead leave this here.
I'm All Ears on him is pretty dirty, but so fun as killer. Lol

Bubba is perfectly fine.. He has very good counters, if you are versing Leatherface and you find yourself completely in open, that is your fault
It's more than just open areas. He's significantly stronger in loops and forces people to pre throw pallets to avoid a instadown. The charges were supposed to mitigate the repetitive use of his chainsaw, but they charge way too soon. Also that's exactly what a Leatherface main would say.

Hardcore Mode
Only one of each survivor may be present in the trial and each survivor can only bring their teachable perks. The killer can only use their teachable perks as well.
No aura readings unless it's perk related (i.E BBQ, bond, empathy, bitter murmur).
At the start of the trial, each survivor can only bring one item and no duplicates allowed.
Before the trial, both sides vote on a map from a 3 choice selection.
I'm sure there's other caveats I could add but like I said, it's just a fun idea. I know it couldn't happen due to certain killer and survivor having very strong teachables but still, it could be fun. Maybe I'll try it in a custom game one day as a makeshift tournament.
I wouldn't really think this is a good idea since this will divide the player base a bit by different gamemodes. Also you can already use only teachables if you really want to. Some perks will also won't work properly or be too op due to the changes you suggested along with some characters having really bad teachable perks. Besides that, there's no mither which is hard mode.

Can we please stop this whole Console VS PC war? It’s becoming tiring, fast. I’ve been playing on PS4 and I haven’t noticed any difference. I’ve played as survivor and killer since the cross play was implemented and I know for a fact I’ve faced PC killers and I didn’t find them any more difficult or easier than a console killer. It comes down to the PLAYER and NOT the platform they’re playing on.
There’s good and bad players on every platform and it’s annoying seeing this almost elitist mindset from some people who think they’re better because of what platform they’re on.
We’re all playing this game because we enjoy it and it shouldn’t go any further than that. It’s a VIDEO GAME that most people play for enjoyment. This isn’t turf wars.
I’ve gone against some ‘potato’ survivors who were on PC, as I could tell by their usernames , but you don’t see me posting a thread like “oMg Pc SuRvIvOrS aRe So bAd” because I understand that platform doesn’t = skill.
There’s already a big and unnecessary divide between survivor mains and killer mains. Let’s not add fuel to that fire by adding something else.

You're indeed right, but everyone is better with controls that meet their needs. PC is the best when it comes to accuracy and keys, but this game doesn't need that many buttons to work. Than there's controllers. Great for button input, but lacks accuracy due to control sticks. Some can overcome the challenges of one controller and be less efficient with the other. So yes it does come down to the player.

I think survivors already did it if someone is downed or hooked. It definitely became more common once endgame collapse was introduced which I thought the point of it was to end games sooner despite this strategy being able to fully counter it and even Blood Warden. Enable for endgame collapse to properly work, it should activate once the last gen is done, but the timer for it is longer to make it less killer sided.

Would you be more likely to buy a full cosmetics pack (meaning new outfits for all originals, maybe split into killer and survivors, like the suitcases back when iirc) than a single character set?
Like, a full pack would take more time to make, justifying a higher price, but would you buy a whole pack even if you like just a couple of outfits in it, or would you prefer the outfits to be sold separately?
I actually like the sound of the idea, but I don't think Behaviour will do it. They hardly give you extra value for buying more auric cells Ina bundle and all the full outfits are about $10 or cheaper on holidays. The rift also provides a lot of outfits and charms despite the challenges being so grindy and longer than unlocking game passes in other games. Also it would be a cool idea if they feature charms for buying full outfits or outfit packs.

@Onyx_Blue said:
The game would never have a mori in which a head was removed. Yeah we see organs torn out and fingers lopped off, but the actual gore effect is minimal. So Wraith may just have one where he smashes the bell over their head. But I saw a very cool idea where the Wraith beats them with the bell, after each hit the survivor fades in and out of Cloak and Uncloak.
Clowns one could be flipped to make it so he yanks their arm up sharply making them scream, he then cuts their finger off, stomps their head, and finally sucks the finger.
OR
They could change it to this: Clown grabs them by the back of the neck/shoulder and hauls them up off the floor so their head hangs slumped over, their hand tries clawing at Clowns grip. Clown then stabs them in the kidney and shoves them to the ground, before yanking their arm up and cutting off their finger to suck.
So long as the mentioned killers get a decent mori that's actually satisfying to use as killer, then I'm happy.
-
@Lazerboy88 said:
Nah i think clowns is perfect plus his stomps I can see being able to kill, plus the survivor is in the dying state so they are barely hanging onto life as it.
Yet survivors can be pierced in the chest 2 times, heal from dying state/injured an infinite amount of times, be shocked, harpooned, and chainsawed while still alive. Every other Mori you see a survivor can't ever recover from because of the excessive injuries on them. Maybe his Mori would be more believable if we heard bones crack or see blood spewing from the survivor's mouth, but the only special effects we have is a bloody finger.

No button for it, so shrug
I really quite enjoy The Wraith's mori. More brutality and more gore do not appeal to me; it contributes to the desensitization nature of our culture, and if the only way you can find the moris at all interesting is if they have excessive violence, then you're missing out on whatever tension still exists in this game. After all, it's human nature ingrained into our psychology that we become more accustomed to violence and fear the more we are exposed to it; that's why changing each killer's memento mori is only a temporary measure and a fair amount of work for an uptick in aversion to brutality that's transient.
It's not a "hater" moment. It's an "I think your idea is bad, and I don't really want to write a long post explaining why, so I'm hoping your idea will eventually fade away into darkness. That way, I don't have to do something unnecessary."
Good day.
You mean desensitization like Borderlands, Doom, and Mortal Kombat? Lol. As I said, their Moris don't have any originality. Also this is a rated M horror game we're talking about, so of course their should be lots of gore and brutality. Ironically, the Wraith's Mori is the only Mori that kills survivors off screen which is a rather bore. I may not be scared of the game, but so is 90% of the community. By the way, I'm not the first or last person to suggest these changes. This has been a request for years.

"Toxicity"
I've seen it often on this forum and the Steam discussions page: People love to use the word "toxicity" when speaking of various behaviors on Dead by Daylight. These behaviors range from a Survivors spamming the crouch button to Killers hitting Survivors on the hook, even going so far as to label certain things as "toxic" that are part of normal gameplay, e.g. hook sabotaging, "gen-rushing", camping, tunneling, e.t.c..
Now, I am not saying that some of these behaviors aren't ill-mannered or uncalled for. Specifically crouch-spamming, obnoxious flashlight-clicking, facecamping, hard-tunneling, slugging for no reason whatsoever, repeatedly triggering loud noise notifications, e.t.c.. However, compared to other competitive games that I have played throughout the years, "toxic" is far too strong of a word to apply to these behaviors.
I've seen many people say that, "Dead by Daylight has a super-toxic community because the in-game mechanics enable extreme toxicity.". The reason that people state this is due to the fact that they feel "targeted" by the opposite side, whether it be for their name, what perks they're using, or their character, or even what their character is wearing. And honestly, it is easy to feel this way, but it is unreasonable to assume that the other side has a vendetta against you every time they exhibit one or more of these behaviors.
I have had many experiences with all of the "toxic" behaviors on both sides, and while some of these instances (mostly on Survivor side) WERE a case of being purposefully targeted with the intent to "ruin" my gameplay, I would say that these instances only make up about 5% of my total gameplay (counting the time that I spent in Tan and Green rank). And yes, these experiences do suck, but compared to negative experiences in other games, they don't even come close to how negatively a "toxic" player or behavior can affect you in other competitive games.
True Toxicity in Competitive Gaming
League of Legends
While I no longer play the game (and haven't played it for about 2 years, and will never play it again), League of Legends was a game that I played avidly for about 3, then on-and-off for a couple years after that. And you have never known true "toxicity" unless you've played League.
"Toxicity" in League of Legends can actually ruin your game. Teammates can repeatedly let themselves be killed by the enemy, thus boosting the enemy team and pushing them ahead of your team. Teammates can also become upset and sit AFK in the spawn platform or disconnect. Teammates can use All chat to tell the enemy team where you and your other teammates are. People can be (and usually are) EXTREMELY toxic in the in-game chat, saying horrible things until you mute them, but once they realize you muted them (because you quit responding, or didn't respond in the first place), they will intentionally ruin your game by one or more of the methods stated above.
Not to mention that these things don't just happen in "Normal" (non-ranked) games... they happen often in Ranked games as well. And losing Ranked games on League actually matters... a lot. I won't explain how the ranking works here, but let's just say that whenever you lose, your MMR can tank easily and you start getting matched with people who are much worse than you, and that further contributes to lost games. Losing a game on Dead by Daylight really doesn't mean anything, as the ranking system really doesn't mean anything in the first place.
Another thing I would like to mention is that you would think that "Normal" games are casual, and that they are a great way to practice new champions and builds... however, the amount of "toxicity" that you will receive on Normal games for trying to learn a new character is overwhelming. Players will do the aforementioned behaviors game after game, even on the casual game modes, and it makes for a very unpleasant experience.
Counter Strike: Global Offensive
I've played CS:GO for about 6 years now. Not as much as of late, but I still hop on every now and then. And, again, you have never known true "toxicity" unless you've played CS:GO.
As with League, "toxicity" (in Competitive mode) can actually ruin your game. Teammates can kill you at the start of the round and get kicked, forcing you to play with bots that take their place (these bots are finicky and will sometimes not listen to a "stay here" order, and proceed to run out and get shot). Teammates can also shoot you throughout the game (without getting kicked) and also kill you throughout the game (without getting kicked); they can also knife you in the back "accidentally" (putting you down to about 30 HP), throw molotovs/incendiaries at you and your teammates, use smoke grenades to block your view, and refuse to boost you up onto areas that can only be reached by boost... and the list goes on. They can also scream into their microphone until you mute them, and then grief you anyway.
Ranking is also harder to obtain (and easier to lose) on CS:GO, whereas on Dead by Daylight you only ever lose one pip. I personally have been able to stay rank 1 as a Survivor for many, many months now, and I achieved rank 2 Killer while only playing 1-2 Killer games every couple days. Not bragging at all, just making a point about how much easier the ranking system in DbD is versus other competitive games.
Not to mention that being a female on these games is even worse. I am a normal gamer and do not behave in a cringy manner whatsoever, nor do I have cringy material on my profile, but it is nearly impossible for me to use my microphone on CS:GO without getting flamed, mic-spammed or killed by my own teammates, so I have to resort to using text chat (which is more time-consuming and not conducive to fast-paced gameplay) for less-toxic games. And on League, having a "girly" username (or speaking in a "girly" manner, i.e. using smileys) will also garner toxicity. But on Dead by Daylight, there are so many other females playing the game that it is normal, i.e. they aren't singled out for "toxic" behavior, especially in my experience. Not trying to make this a "females oppressed ree" post, just stating that this has been my experience since I've been a female online gamer.
I would talk about Rainbow Six: Siege, but it's basically the same deal as CS:GO.
Conclusion
In the end, my point that I'm trying to make is that the "toxicity" that players experience in Dead by Daylight is not real toxicity. "Toxicity" is too strong of a word for the behaviors shown in DbD, and I would liken it more to "BM" (bad manners) or just simply being rude. When you're losing a game on Dead by Daylight, you can just let yourself die on the hook and move on to the next game with little penalty. If you're not having a good game as Killer, you can AFK and allow Survivors to open the gates and leave while you watch YouTube or look at your phone. And if you don't want to deal with end-game chat, just leave the end-lobby once you reach it. Nearly every bad behavior in Dead by Daylight can be shrugged off or ignored, but in real competitive games you have to suffer through the game or face a ban.
On a side note, I think it's insane how people actually think it's OK to disconnect on Dead by Daylight... "Why should I have to stick around for a game that isn't going my way?". These people truly must have never played an actual competitive game.
But anyway, that's the end of my post. I got the idea for it after seeing someone on the Steam discussions say that Dead by Daylight's community wasn't toxic, and I realized that it's true! If anything, the only "toxic" behaviors in this game are D/Cs and early hook suicides. If you read all of this, thanks for reading and I hope it brings understanding as to the difference between real toxicity and DbD's "toxicity"!
TL:DR
Dead by Daylight's "toxicity" is not real toxicity, and is merely bad behavior. While Dead by Daylight is a competitive game, it is far more casual than other competitive games and losses don't matter nearly as much. Teammates on other competitive games like CS:GO, League of Legends and Rainbow Six: Siege are able to ruin your games far worse than DbD players can.
I ultimately hate when people DC as it screams sore losers no matter what role or opposing side. Toxic players also like to message me on PSN and tell me I'm garbage because I win/lose or I camped, tunneled, and slugged. They mainly do this to troll by getting me to swear at them so it can be an easy suspension by PS Safety. Even if I was just being witty. Anyway, I think toxicity exists because of unfair components in games or cockiness in skill.

Here is an alternative to Pig's:
She stops a survivor from moving, Pulls out an RBT (if they do not have one on), places it on them, and slowly moves the timer on the side to zero, and then we see the RBT go off in all its glory.
That would be cool. Amanda has been known to not follow Jigsaw's rules in movies.

The weird thing about Trapper and Hag is that they can afford to let gens go. Set up your 3-gen, let them pop those far away gens and when endgame comes, they'll regret it. You've trapped every loop and every path, they're either gonna get trapped or let you know which gen they're going for by disarming. You don't need to overcommit to early-game chases because of this, just smack them to scare them off if you're still setting up your zone of control.
Hag can, but trapper can't. His traps are extremely limited and he has to spent a rediculous amount of time back tracking across the map to find more.

the destroyed walls on hawkins actually hide the traps quite well in the debris. try them out.
The point of breakable walls is to reduce the value of loops by the killer going through them. Placing traps there would only undo that. Otherwise you're better off leaving breakable walls. Try imagining how survivors will run through loops and put traps in odd places of them. You can also be cunning and place traps underneath places where survivors drop far from vaults. I did it with the floor hole and tubes in Hawkins Lab and the results were hilarious.

Clown was always the best at chasing. That's what he was made to do. With the right perks, he's a beast at it. However, loops and map tile RNG sometimes play against him. If a Survivor puts down a pallet early, the Clown has to either break it or use 2-3 bottles to get close enough for a hit, depending on the size of the loop. Assuming it can be looped and it's not a god pallet. If the pallet goes into a vault, then it depends entirely on the type of pallet tile and how long the Survivor uses that tile before going to the vault. Shack vault into an L-Wall with long wall window won't be easy to shut down even if the Clown uses his bottles, unless he predicts that they will vault out into the jungle gym and heads them off. There's a lot going into how effective the Clown will be at every loop. He will get you eventually, but it depends on the add-ons and tile spawns on how soon he does.
Hag with Save the Best for Last and new Leatherface would like to have a word with you.

I played trapper for a while. I found that all of the games I lost with him were because I found someone too early. I would get into chase and lose potential for my power.
I had usually placed all the traps in my hand at the time so therefore had none to use in a chase.
I feel as though If you continue to set up. Survs with comms or even just a single survivor will now know your location, therefore the location of your traps; simply avoid the area or go and immediately disarm them.
This sucks the worst on some Macmillan maps and blood lodge, ones with open planes.
What would you do in this Situation?
He actually sucks the worst on maps with buildings as there's no grass to blend them in with. Also it takes a really long time to find and set additional trap while every other killer with traps has all of them in disposal. I do prefer if survivors disarm traps as that buys a little bit of time. Still I think he needs a small buff such as an increase in trap setting speed, increase the amount of traps trapper has by default, or no longer have it that you need to keep finding traps on the map. Instead you have all of them with a minor nerf to overall amount of traps or changing the escape from traps to be seconds not a RNG mechanic.

Sorry this is just wrong. If his bottles are so slow how am I nailing everyone in the head? You are talking about bottle arc and speed like that means something. I never miss my bottles. If you can't get a 4k without pinky finger......then you are doing it wrong. Clown is not the worst killer in the game by far. I am not even a clown main.
I don't play Clown, but I do loop the living crap out of every person in game who's clown. As I said, his only power is slowing down loops while other killers power like planting traps, snares, phantasms, phasing through walls, hatchets, and shocking can be done for the same thing. That is why in countless tier lists both by websites and typical YouTubers usually put the clown in the very bottom. He has nothing more to offer and his power can't be utilized effectively in anything else.

He seems really freaking strong without the bottle slowdown.
Besides Oni with his power I dont think theres a stronger 1v1 killer in the game.
Deathslinger and huntress suffer from 110% at loops.
Spirit has to guess
Billy is loopable
Hag and trapper are setup dependant
Freddy has snares which are smaller bottles
Myers GF legion wraith are M1 killers at loops
Bubba isnt strong at loops
Plague needs to have her power to be strong at loops
Demo is nice but not that good at loops
PH may be equally strong but not that easy to accomplish at loops
Pig has to guess
Doc takes some laps until the loop gets shut down
Okay Nurse may be stronger but shes special^^
So all in all clowns bottles are at least Top 3 to shut down loops and end chases fast am i right?
Faster reload + extra bottles
some slowdown perks and brutal strengt.... POOF clown is good now?
What is going on? I like clown now, before the buff he was so dumb to play, never would have thought a small buff could have this kind of an impact on him
It's rather the opposite. A lot of killers already have a power that make ending loops easier and after the new bubba buff, Clown is officially the worst killer in the game for not only having a long reload time, but the slow projectile speed, charge time, and arc of his bottles makes him not that viable. All of these problems so you can slow survivors down slightly. Only his pink add-ons make him viable.

I have an idea.
Remember the splinters for licensed Killers? Maybe the tomes could utilise a mechanic similar to that.
If you are on a challenge for a character that you do not currently own, you will be able to unlock a trial version of the character. This trial version only allows for the use of their teachable perks and the bloodweb is locked for the character. As soon as you swap to another challenge or finish it, the trial ends.
Let's give an example I can think of.
Let's say you didn't have Ace for the next tome, but you still want to do a potential "Escape a trial after getting a new item while using the perk Ace In The Hole in a single trial" challenge (not saying that's one of them, but just saying it could be). You simply select the challenge, go to your Survivors menu and Ace is suddenly unlocked. However, there is an Archives symbol in the top left corner of the portrait that means it's a trial version of Ace.
That would definitely be interesting, but I think it'll be better if it can be used on any survivor/killer you don't own or the character is unlocked while the specific challenge is active, but something definitely needs to be fixed with this rift. The amount of problems outweigh any game I played with a game pass.
Edit: I misread what you meant and I agree with you.

@V1V3 Thanks for taking the time to do that. :-)
Questions though:
"Daily challenges now give fragments"
I've been playing for 6 weeks. I've only ever had two daily challenges that were survivor - they are all for killers? Is that how it is suppose to be?
"You can do multiple challenges at once"
I've never been able to do two Compendium / Rift challenges / daily at the same time. Daily (the odd time there was one for survivor) and a Compendium? Is that how it is, or am I missing something?
I'm asking only as I wonder if I'm bugged up somehow.
There's actually more survivor dailies than killer because the ones that require you to perform cooperative actions for 180 seconds, picking up someone's item and escaping, and get 3 hook rescues can apply to any survivor you own. The killer dailies have you use a certain killer's power 4 times or killing 1 survivor with a Mori.
You should technically be able to do a daily and a tome challenge at the same time so long if you meet both conditions of them, but you can't actually do multiple challenges at the same time. The game would be much better if you could since every other game I play has that.

Half the rift isn't behind a pay wall only the cosmetics in the pay side which is exactly how all battlepasses work.
That is what all battlepasses. These systems are designed to make money of course and keep people playing the game with something else to strive for. What is in the rift takes people to design and make and they of course need paid for that work. Would work for no pay?
That is why these systems are designed with those who really put in the hours to get it for free but I would day most probably won't and each month they may be another 2 dollars or more to get the next one ir they can spend some to complete the current one if they want A specific cosmetic. Its all about choices.
You can complete the free rift if one has enough time to play and gain all the free items from it. You can do all the challenges for the lore and if you can't finish them all in time you can go back and do them as these are always available even if it is closed.
Always remember they are just cosmetics and no cosmetics are ever needed in any game. If you have the time or disposable income and you enjoy having these cosmetics you can chose to purchase it. If you don't or just want to play the game you can choose to ignore it.
I only do the challenges because of the rift. Without finishing them all, you can't hope to complete the rift on time. I don't care about the lore or bloodpoints. They're just a nice bonus. By enough time, you mean someone who only plays this game everyday and has nothing better to do. And a lot of people care about the cosmetics since they bring life to your characters. At the very least, being able to select multiple challenges at once would be fair. Maybe reduce the amount of auric cells gained if they're so worried about people getting their money back. Anyway let's just forget there was ever any problems about the rift and just spend money to solve all our problems because that's how the devs think now a days.

No one side has fast queues 24/7. It changes depending on time of day and whether double BP is on. Who told you queues would be faster with dedicated servers? That makes no sense. An imbalance between the ratio of killers to survivors doesn't go away once you switch the machine hosting the game.
1 would just lead to dcs when people don't get what they want
2 wouldn't change much. Same problem, smaller numbers.
3 already happens
4 will probably be part of the mmr that they're working on
5 may be coming but wouldn't change much. Two separate pools of 800 survivors and 150 killers are now one pool of 1600 survivors and 300 killers. Same problem, bigger numbers
If the role you want is taking too long, play the other role or try again later and play something else.
I literally play killer only because everytime I play as survivor, I wait from 5-10 minutes for matches where killer is 10 seconds.

-No... too complicated
-Ranks should be expanded (10-1) for each color Brown,Yellow,Green,Purple,Red... doing this will be more accurate in the long run
-The new MMR system will deal with that
-Crossplay is coming "soon"...
Also you're contradicting yourself on the 3rd and 4th points
Right now the MM is looking for matches that can hold up connection wise, then "rank"... and I think that's better (right now) seeing that the servers are new to the devs
I'm not making all these suggestions to be all done in one. Also there's no telling how the MMR will work. There's one thing that should never be in a casual game and that's rankings.
-
@FireHazard said:
It always depends on the time of day, region, and rank for the most part. Like for example, I get insta-matches as Killer when It's 12AM to 4AM, but after that it takes about 2 minutes.
You're telling me the game isn't even all regions? And the ranks seem to do more hard than good.

What's some of the lesser known, or less 'viable' horror licenses, you would like to see in DBD...but know deep down it's not going to happen.
I'll start:
The Green Inferno (2013)
Survivor: Justine
Killer: Bald Headhunter
Map: Peruvian Jungle
The Thing from you guessed it, The Thing. Once you see it, you'll never be able to sleep without nightmares.

It isn´t for distance. You use dead hard for getting a vault or pallet. The difference to user exhaustion perks is that dead hard ist activateable during the chase which punishes you more then a sprint burst. The survivor has the option to increase the duration of a chase tremoundesly by getting a pallet or vault through dead hard.
Sprint burst, balanced landing and lithe depends more on the situation and dead hard is every time activateable which CAN give you a really hard advantage
You're technically right. If employed correctly, dead hard could give you a free pallet or even a stun. However, pallets in maps are already distanced enough where you can get to one before the killer catches up to you. Dead hard also is more of a one time use since the killer knows to wait out you using it. If the killer times a lunge when you activate it, the killer could hit you by the end of it's duration. Perks like Sprint Burst however has exceptional value as it not only works well in chases, it can be used to bait missed hits from the killer, quick escapes when unhooked, and avoid encounters with killers from a max terror radius.

Sadly, with the implementation of Cross Friends it's going to get worse.
Turn your messages off, report them.
I played on PS4 and Sony does very well with their report and Feedback system. Don't let jerks ruin the game for you. =/
By Sony doing well, you mean they accept any report even if it's for the smallest things like a joke or swearing. It's not just used by people to report bad players, it's also used by toxic people as well that try to bait you to insulting them so they can flag it as reportable.

The ridt is tolerable for a lot of players. If not a lot more complaints would be posted.
Many other games the rift may be tolerable for you but those that can't complete it may feel how you feel about this games one. The rift then is tolerable for some just not for others which again is a personal feeling.
The fact the rift is optional means you have to spend no money what so ever for it that is why its a want and not a need. You can freely play the game in its entirety ignoring the rift completely if you so wish or play another game like you said.
Half the rift is behind a $10 pay wall and you can only get your money back if you finish the entire rift where as you said, is designed for people not to finish so they have to spend more money to complete it. Regardless, you still have to spend money.

Everything you mentioned is optional. None of the rift is ever needed to play the game for what it is. The rift is an extra and something you can choose to participate in its not forced.
I've said it many times the rift is a want not a need. These system's only work due to the people who pay for them and make them possible as if they made no money then the work making one wouldn't be warranted.
You may finish the ones in other games but how many other players do not?
Okay so you're saying rather than do anything to make the rift tolerable like other games, simply ignore the problem, play the game 2-3 hours a day while the challenges become gradually harder, or spend my money? You're right that it's a want, just like this entire game is. I can just quit playing this game altogether and spend my time with another game that's easier to do game passes and isn't as repetitive.

Well The game is only $20 at full price and goes on sale a few times a year for $7.99 and most of the dlc you can earn for free by playing.
The dlc is $7 if you wish to buy it but only licensed is not available to earn due to the licensee getting a portion of the sale.
Cosmetics are in part what can keep the dlc lower in price and like the rift are a choice. You don't need any of these to play the game.
The whole battlepass concept for any and all games is the same. Designed to give you far more for the money you spend even if you reached 40% of it but its still a lure to keep people paying.
You can play this game of course without buying any dlc and stick to base characters and wait for the shrine to give certain perks which may be weeks or a year. Still its an option.
You excluded challenges that require you to play certain characters like Kate and Jane for example. Same goes for killers like Legion and Spirit. Some of the cosmetics also go to characters you may not even own or play. The rift wouldn't be a problem if the more difficult challenges didn't require you to play the game abnormally or to be in very strict circumstances that hardly happen. The only thing from the Rift that can be used on every character are the charms and unlike rift cosmetics, they'll never be rereleased. It's also unlike this game that I can't actually finish the rift on time when I could with Rainbow Six, Brawl Stars, and Apex Legends.

I did the maths on it back in the first one, and that's when there were a lot less challenges in the last tier. Basically it works out to be 70-80 hours of time spent within a match, if you play a game of survivor and a game of killer each day, because of the first game XP bonus for both sides.
Of course we live in the real world with queue times, daily commitments, other games, and just wanting to play one side one day, so the time goes up and up for each of those factors.
I think that's how it takes so long like all the challenges aren't the same level of difficulty. Also Paulie is a really active person. Both roles have significantly different waiting times like Survivors being 2-6 minutes and killer being 5-15 seconds.

@Dermott said:
Around 100h, few challenges (about 3 or 4) left, so i omitted about 15-20 shards which means at max 2 lvls in rift. I got more detailed notes when I started and finished certain tomes, at how many hours and what Rift lvl. Although I completed most of challenges I still had to grind up almost 10 last levels, which is infuriating, it took too long.
Yeah, you think it would be better if daily challenges gave fragments like 3-5 or gain more by pipping?

If you mean no love lives or friendships in DbD: they do have them in the lore, and that’s where they will add LGBT topics. It’s not for actually bringing the playable characters together and make couples here.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1449420#Comment_1449420
looking at all the haters and their disapproval BHVR gets when just saying they will mention LGBT themes in the lore, this means they are not doing it for the profit right? I mean there is not that much to gain here. Sure it might be a factor but really can’t be the only one.
You're probably right, I mean how many people actually care about the lore of the game? Not everyone at least.

Any ideas?
Reverse pallet stuns - Killer flips pallet back and stuns survivor when near it.
Baseball Bats - Now survivors can defend themselves.
Water - Tiles on a map and can't be crossed.
Ladders - Used to get to high places, but the killer can kick them down even while survivors are on them.
Proning - You can prone as though you're in the dying state, but are slower and takes a while to get back up.
Emotes - So people can be toxic.

What do you think guys, why LGBT is so important for the devs, because of the equality what it represents or because of the profit? If it would not be a trend right now, the devs would make stand for it?
Being a company means profit is everything and the best way to make profit is gain approval from as many stereotypes as possible.

Hi everyone on the forums, I am here to bring you an analysis on the most idiotic Killer in this game: Pig.
Pig has every tool she needs to make the Survivors' experiences miserable without any drawback whatsoever. She is so oppressive that even after all those nerfs Pig mains have whined about she still had a 70% (!!!) Kill rate in Red Ranks ( https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/106566/ ).
Pig has little to no counterplay in the hands of the Survivors, she has to make the mistakes, Survivors are merely spectators of a slaughter. Here's my suggestion on how to change every single problem she has currently.
Reverse Bear Traps (RBTs):
The Reverse Bear Trap is the most RNG-heavy disgusting thing in this game at the moment. All she needs is to down you, press M2 and that's it. You are now constantly zoned and threatened without any other input from the Killer side.
RBTs could kill you on the spot, they allow the Killer to PATROL BOXES in order to gain an unfair psychological advantage on the victim, they are completely random so you don't even know where to go but the most annoying thing is that they PUNISH Survivors for doing their objective.
Solution:
RBTs now activate when the Survivor wearing them cleanses a Totem. That way Pig is now stronger on Hex builds and Survivors can play their objective.
RBTs are always disabled by the farest boxes from the Survivors, like Freddy's clocks. That way they will not be such RNG idiocy.
RBTs timer changed to 360s. This way they will be a true delay mechanic and not a random kill thing that completely ruins the game for the Survivor.
Crouching:
Pig's crouching ability is easily the best stealth mechanic in the game currently. It's a mindgame tool, it's a dash, it's a counter to Borrowed Time, a must have perk nowadays.
Amanda has so many different options with this mechanic that there's no way for the Survivor to play around them all, negating counterplay.
First off, the biggest offender: when crouched, Pig looks like a Survivor. The lack of red stain, the size, the speed alter the way you, as a Survivor, are supposed to look at the game.
Secondly, since the Terror Radius closes on Pig and does NOT disappear instantly, she can use it to make someone think she left, the feeling is entirely different and there's no way for a Survivor to grasp what's going on with precision.
Last but not least, the dash. This is so unfair, how is she allowed to move at 6.9 m/s for 2.5s? How is a Survivor supposed to dodge that? Where is the counterplay? The only way out is to hope the Pig messes up, not reaching you because she miscalculated distances.
Side note on how the Undetectable aspect allows her to proxy camp better than any Killer bar Deathslinger, the second best Stealth Killer in the game.
Solution:
Crouching now takes 2s (up from 1.3s). This minor change will make sense with the next ones.
When crouched she is not Undetectable but she has a small 18m Terror Radius and the red stain. This give Survivors counterplay with Borrowed Time and Pig can no longer disguise as a Survivor.
During the dash she now moves at 4.8 m/s for 2s. This way there will be counterplay to it.
Add-Ons:
Most of her Add-Ons are nuts and make her even more insufferable from the other side point of view.
Combat Straps is the most oppressive one, allowing her to crouch way faster and permitting an even quicker Dash, especially combined with the next add-on I'm about to talk about.
Video Tape does a little bit too much on an already good aspect of the Killer and needs to be addressed. Change it so it does something else, something completely different.
Face Mask counters all aura reading Perks and items, a bit too much for a single add-on, no counterplay, no way to play around it, just suck it up and play without your stuff untill you remove the RBT, extremely oppressive.
Slow-Release Toxin has a similar problem but Exhaustion is so much more than Blindness, every Exhaustion add-on is broken but this one is total insanity, Exhaustion for around one minute after getting unhooked? You are supposed to recover from Exhaustion when hooked, this add-on doesn't make any sense at all.
Tampered timer is basically a free mori in disguise, obviously broken, I don't need to talk about it, Scorpionz proved it for me.
And that's it. That concludes my analysis. I hope you liked it :)
I would also like the roar to be changed to the Metro Golden Mayer one so that even new player can recognize it and know what's up ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrLyllumxts ).
She needs a rework, not a nerf.

This ^
The purpose of the rift is two fold.
To make you play the game and to bring in more revenue for the devs.
The rift itself is not designed so all the players can complete it or its then a one off purchase. The design of all battlepasses are for the vast majority to not quite complete it so they have to spend at least some money for each one.
So you're telling me it's not enough for the devs to pay $25-$50 for the game, dlcs for characters that are in the rift, $10 for every single outfit you buy, and $10 to get the other half of items in premium rift? Are the devs really that greedy?
-
@JnnsMu said:
I would also prefer the normal mix-and-match type to remain the standard but there are concepts (like hooded survivors) that only really work if forced as an entire outfit and I don't mind seeing these from time to time since the restricted freedom usually comes with greater quality.
The quality will be there when you wear the full set, but being able to make your character choose from a variety of cosmetics together does so as well. You ever seen Ace with a pineapple shirt and a trilby hat with shades? Basically you get a Hawaiian Ace or how about a Jake's Ski head with a Jacket? Diversity in one's look is the entire purpose of cosmetics and mix and matching extends to that even further.

You already knew what the rift was, don't complain.
I can complain however I like especially after all the reasons I gave. You guys think everything can be solved by spending more money and don't care about new players even if some of the changes would benefit you guys as well. Game passes only encourage overly active gamers to play the game but doesn't benefit casual players.
