Seems like you just got outplayed to me. kekw
I mean, I got 4K anyway, because they sucked at looping, but every single one of them ran for this loop and there's not much you can do about it.
inside killer shack -> shack window -> jungle gym window
how are you supposed to chase them? go all the way around? vault shack window and go around? vault both windows? all those options create huge gap between you and survivor.
-
Yup, crotus prenn.
TBH I don't mind pallet generation too much, because you can always force survivors to drop them and the problem is gone. However windows stay for the entierity of the game and the only way to counter them is bamboozle/some killers.
-
In general it seems like a bug with vaulting through windows with a drop. You either don't vault at all (the animation still plays) or you get stuck.
Edit: Platform - PC

Just a heads up, some Pig player is trapping players in the basement and is stalling the game until players leave the game. He’s done this 3 times after I blocked him, luckily I managed to recognize him and his playstyle.
There is nothign wrong with that, maybe doing an achievment or sth
yea the achievement for taking the game hostage and forcing DC? I love watching you guys justify basement blocking survivors in, my fav.
There is nothing you need to justify, its allowed behaviour and you cant be banned for that
Blocking survivors in basement untill they DC is holding the game hostage and is bannable offense.
Edit: A word -
I agree with others that it's a little bit toxic to do so, but I have to say that it's not bannable offense. You're not breaking any of those rules: CLICK.
Your behaviour is not nice, but banning for things like this would be ridiculous.

Disclaimer: I'm not stating that he's strong nor weak, I need more time played to fully understand him.
[Sloppy butcher + Bloodhound + Thanatophobia + M&A] seems like the most useful perks for that killer
[sloppy + BH] gives you easier tracking after frenzy ends
[Thanatophobia] punishes survivors for not healing
[M&A] sneak on survivors + bigger detection radious from powerPerfect scenario is hitting all four survivors and commiting into chase after the last one.
As for chasing single survi what I came up with is:
1. frenzy
2. hit (initiates deep wounds)
3. hit (ends frenzy, depletes part of survivor's timer)
4. frenzy when fully charged
5. hit (again survivor's timer depletes)
6. disengage chase, wait for bleed out; if survi starts mending go for M1/frenzy hit and try to not trigger chase as long as possibleSingle chase takes me usually 30-70 seconds
EDIT: I've never had so much fun playing any other killer even if I'm getting 1-2 sacrifices each mach.
-
@Janick Do Legion's addons affect mending from borrowed time? Also is/will it be possible to unlock the two other Legion members (and how)?
-
My guesses were "The Sect", "The Million" and "The Legion", but when we got the teaser "Within darkness lies a legion…" it got pretty obvious.
-
Do you even know what you're saying? He's tremendously underpowered, he will be fine only if BHVR boosts his movement speed to 215% and incorporates both iridescent addons into his basic kit.

AFAIK most of players don't have static IP so there's no problem.

DBD is asymmetrical game, i don't know about any other asymmetrical game that has tournaments, which means that whoever wants to host tournament has to build the rules from scratch. Without the "destiny" twist, Tyde's rules are a solid take on making some basic standards for DBD tournaments.
-
The estimated queue times will be added some time (soon™) after the new matchmaking.
And yes, I want them ASAP. -

Can we have a rundown of the rules for people that don't wanna give the man clicks? No offence but I can't stand him nowadays.
"Base Rules and Information
The Killer will host the game on the predetermined map, chosen by TydeTyme.
Teams will be designated characters and perks that they must play with, per match. Killers must use the required add-on's (see Destiny Rules). Breaking this will result in a penalty.
Offerings must be turned off.
Survivors cannot bring an item into the match, but can use items found in-game.
Games will be played with TydeTyme as spectator, and streamed to http://www.twitch.tv/TydeTyme/ with a 5 minute delay.
Players may stream their game play at their own risk of stream sniping.
TydeTyme will act as judge, passing any rules and answering questions from either team captain and granting final scores.
In the rare event of a tie, a rematch will be played.
Holding the game hostage is not permitted:
In the event that a killer blocks a survivor from leaving the game (eg. stuck in basement) without performing an offensive action for over 5 minutes, the killer’s team will be disqualified.
In the event that a survivor blocks the game from ending (eg. hatch standoff, refusing to exit game) without performing an interaction for over 5 minutes, the survivor’s team will be disqualified.
Farming is prohibited - example if a killer downs all survivors and picks them up, drop them, hits them again and repeats.
Any players suspected of cheating (eg. wall hack, lag switch) will have their entire team disqualified.
If a team member disconnects at the start of the game (before first generator or first hook), a reset may be allowed (one per match). Any disconnects after this point will require the match to be played through.
No Prestige or Legacy cosmetics allowed for either Killer or Survivor. All other cosmetics permitted
Certain perks may affect bloodpoint scores:
"We're Gonna Live Forever" will grant a 25% bonus to bloodpoints for each survivor that escapes. (Only Applies to David King. No other survivors gain this effect if they equip this perk.)
"No Mither" will grant a 100% bonus to the user’s individual bloodpoints if that player escapes.
Perks that grant bonus bloodpoints during the match will count towards the team final score. This means that perks that grant bonus bloodpoints after the match will not count. No playstyles will be barred (BM behavior, slugging, body blocking, camping etc)
Destiny Rules
Before your match begins a Destiny will be given to your team and opponent team - the same Destiny will affect both teams. Both teams will be aware of all Destiny's given. A tarot card will be drawn which will restrict players to using certain killers, survivors, perks and add-on's.Players do not need their own physical cards to play, and no prior knowledge to the Destiny is required - the effect of the chosen card will be explained by TydeTyme after being selected, and teams will be allowed to ask questions.
If you wish to further understand the cards and rules, please view this document: https://goo.gl/ZMV1wF
(Destinies will be updated by 11/15/2018 to include Spirit and new add-ons)"
Here's the tournament's site: https://challonge.com/stuffedbydaylightna

If you spam it 3-4 times you should be fine, however spamming it for a few minutes might get you banned (gameplay abuse/taking the game hostage?). There's no strict rule as to how long you have to spam them to get banned.

I'm not an IT tho, I might be wrong.
Usually if you're running that kind of ping you have one of two issues, or a combination of them. You are either on subpar internet to begin with, or you are outside the region (such as in Korea linking to U.S. servers). Which is why I said they'd also have to set-up region-based servers. Overwatch does, Paladins doesn't, for example, and Paladins is crap to play outside the U.S.
You're right. Some people will benefit form servers, some won't. It all depends on where you live in relation to servers and other players.
To my mind servers wouldn't change game too much:
If survivor and killer (host) have good internet, it doesn't matter.
If killer has good internet and survivor has wooden net, the outcome is the same.
If killer has ######### net, you can check ping and dodge.I still don't get why people want dedicated servers so bad.
Remember that it costs them money, time and human resources, it's not worth for BHVR if community breaks even on it.

Dedicated servers are not such a clear cut best option. Just a couple, for example:1: More lag for killers. Right now, everything is handled on your end. When you should get a hit, you get a hit. With a dedicated server, there's going to be a delay on everything you do. If someone vaults a window and you hit them them, you might not get a hit because by the time that command gets to the server, they're out of range and safe. It's important that the killer is able to consistently get hits, and missing a single one due to lag can buy the survivor a significant amount of time.
I will call this one out. If you're going to run 30-tick servers, then yes. This is why you run 60-tick servers, which is why they are run in FPS games. It's to take that lag to an absolute minimum.
It's also why you run region based servers, otherwise, you run into the other issue you mentioned, which is exactly why Paladins is such a trash game if you're not U.S. based.
I've looked at BHVR as a company at their website. They certainly don't seem to be a small company. It just seems like they'd prefer not to make the necessary investment for servers in DBD.

2: Depending on where you live, more lag in general. Dedicated servers are not everywhere, they're a physical thing. If you like in a far off corner of the world with only a few hundred other players, there's probably not going to be a server there. You'd have a significantly higher ping because of it.
3: DDOS attacks in general. They don't go away, the difference is now when people do it, it knocks the game offline for everyone.
4: It's not as simple as just changing some variables, you'd need to rewrite loads of code to add dedicated servers. That means less content for a while, and probably a huge amount of issues with lag that weren't there before.
That's not to say that they're all bad, but is it worth all the problems that come with it? Probably not. About DDOS attacks though: If someone threatens you with one, please report them in-game. We take stuff like that very seriously, and they will likely receive a permanent ban for doing so. It's a game, there's no reason to threaten people like that. Same goes for any other real life/DOX threats. Just make absolutely sure that you report them in-game, as this will save the chat log for us to review.
Hmm...why then do so many competitive online games have dedicated servers? I know most console games dont but PC players always seem to want it. The game Warframe doesn't have dedicated servers and gets DDOS attacks on a regular basis it seems...which makes the game unplayable.
A ) Because those games' code was written with the intention of having dediacted servers.
B ) Because they at the very beginning adjusted their business model to cover cost of servers
C ) Because they had enough staff to host those servers. (AFAIK BHVR had less than 100 people when the game launched)
D ) DDOS is not as common as it may look like. After all you must have an army of infected computers to DDOS someone.
E ) Have you seen problems with logging-in when the event started? If we would have dedicated servers we would have this for not only logging-in but also games. (and for much longer)Ok...so it comes down to money hehe...gotcha.
Money, time and people... as with everything.

I do not know about OoO, but I think they can see you, like they see Wraith, or other killers.
PS. You won;t see blood of survivors too, from the next PTBs patch.Wouldn't be the first time that the devs use this biased "one way street" in favor of survivors.
For "balance" reasons, because you can hurt them and not otherwise, you meanie >:(

As I already said, aura reading doesn't work neither way when using her power.

When Spirit uses her power aura reading doesn't work both ways (eg. you can't see surv with Bitter Murmur and survivors can't see you with OoO).

Tested it, you get 1500+500 for safe unhook with gates open.
-
That's the low rank "bubble". People playing there are:
a) smurf accounts that bully killers (usually SWF)
b) not-so-good casual players
c) new players that still don't understand this game good enough and maybe still are truly scared of killersThe b) and c) players often play suboptimal, don't like risk and prefer not to meet killer (I don't blame them for that). That's it, unhooking is after all risky.

Have we seen god-like nurses within 3 days of her release? She's rated as hard killer by BHVR, it means something, and even if she ends up as mid-tier killer, I think that mid-tier killers are fine.
If you want to tryhard and get 24th 4k win in a row then go get nurse. One stupidly-strong-killer-if-you-play-her-right is enough.
Having said that, she needs a better way of tracking survivors. Scratchmarks even with Predator are mildly confusing in grass.Uhm Billy is rated Easy, Wraith Intermediate and Laurie Hard. So i don´t really think the rating means much.
Also the rating changes every season.Billy is rated easy, because you don't have to play a lot to understand his power, starting skill level for him is just vroom around the map.
With Wraith you have to learn when and where to get out of invisibility to make it useful.
Survivors are rated by their teachable perks - Playing with DS (easy), Sole Survivor (nearly useless) and OoO (you HAVE TO know what you are doing) is hard compared to optimal builds.
This rating is based on amount of time to be decent with that character. And does the rating really change every few patches?
That rating is useless, to be honest, it does not say anything about the killer. There are different kind of people, different preferences and minds, one killer can be easy for X player, but difficult for Y player.
Also I do not know if the rating changes, I did not put attention to it.
For us? Yeah, It might be trash, because we already spent a few hundred hours with those killers and know how they work, new player when faced with hillbilly and doctor will understand the first one a lot easier.
With Rin we all are "new players" trying to get grasp on her power's concept and how to use it. That's why PTB lasts for a week, so we can get used to her and then decide how she's doing. -

Finding parts would be nice, but we have the "walking on the rope" problem, tipping the average game time even slightly in either way could cause disaster balance-wise. We need to increase the minimal game time without affecting usual game length.

Seeing blood makes her upper-mid tier, but also denies countering her by not running so we have problem here.

I decided to make a little museum of salty comments on my steam profile, so I left comments on. The best way to deal with salty players is to confirm what they say/pretend you're stupid.
Survivor: Noob killer

Survivor: OMG, learn to play
Killer: I killed all 4 of you so I know how to play
at this point they usually don't respond -

I feel like the main problem with colorblind mode is that it would end up being better even for normal players - right now red auras/marks kind of blend with the brown-ish/gray-ish environment making them a tad harder to see. Giving colorblind mode would result in removing that blending/increasing contrast and everyone would end up using this mode.

Soemthing like 27-30 hrs from now, I don't remember exactly.

Maybe perks changing FOV? M&A or Shadowborn?

$10 for a full purple skin is fine price for me. Same with shards price - playing for 2-3 hrs daily i managed to unlock full purple skin a week ago, so 2-3 months per BEST rarity of skins is not bad.
For example LoL charges from $5 to $25 per skin. So DBD prices are totally fair to my mind. -
Nope, for me he's just as usual.
-
He is a little slower in treatment mode, but in punishment it's normal 115% speed.
-
Nice idea, but adding everything up we have 6 (default) + 5 (overdrive) + 2 (pallet) = 13 seconds of unstoppable force with increased movement speed. On maps with lack of windows it's guaranteed hit. Even considering instant pallet it's 5 (overdrive) + 2 (pallet) = 7 seconds
Seems a bit overpowered even if it needs 2 hits to charge up.
