Cosmetics do drive a lot of the game at the moment, but even those don't take top priority. Every new outfit for David needs time to work with his shirtless skin (there was even a bug for a while that would OPEN UP his torso like a mouth when he curled up on hook). I'm still waiting for them to make Baz's outfit from the Masquerade event his and not Aestri's, or at least issue some compensation for charging 3 cosmetics for the price of 2.

Even in ye olden days, it was so annoying being told that if you wanted to avoid being tunneled, you had to buy the Halloween chapter. The best perks tended to come in licensed chapters.
still true to this day pay to win perks are still here and behaviour still hide behind their super outdated and dumb shrine of secrets

The game declined so much that it is enjoying the highest gameplay counts it ever had, as someone who has played this game since 2016, wth you mean by skill in the og dbd? The one where if someone approached an infinite you just had to give up chase? Or when a crack billy got you and insta moried you 30 seconds into the match?
Also regarding your point on content creators, all of the ones you mentioned, except tofu, would get absolutelly eaten alive by the current dbd players that are actually good. Some of them have actually faced them and lost horribly as well.
If you ask me, someone who has also played dbd since its inception, it has gone up and down on skill, why? Because killers like unknown and springtrap have such a high skill ceiling on their proyectiles you would be dishonest to propose any killer back then required more skill.
We do have killers that do not require more skill than previous ones, as it is obviously true you need more skill to play wraith than ghoul.
Also perk variety does not take away skill, I in fact think it makes you need more skill.
Before you could just tunnel without repercusion and win incredibly fast, if someone has DS or OTR you have to know how to adjust your gameplay even if you wanna tunnel, it makes you judge your descicions more.
I sure am glad I don't play this game anymore I just read these discussions and I am still wondering how this unbalanced pile of junk still makes you want to play. Neither side is fun as it is based on the chance of wether you get competent teammates as survivor or you get survivor friends as killer. The entire thing is so based on randomness its not even funny to laugh at its downright bad and adding the stupid pay to win perks does not really help much to the situation I really don't care wether they nerfed the paid perks the fact they existed in a broken state speaks for itself. Behaviour are a greedy company who don't care for you. Heck they already showed it at that last fiasco with the streamers they don't care for anything but your wallet I am just surprised how there is people that think this game is worth it to be played when its always bugged every single update and the only thing they almostn ever mess up are cosmetics. I am just at a loss for words

The people giving up at every little inconvenience are the stupid teammates that everyone is talking about.
Alrighty then chief. I will just make sure to do all 4 other generators that have to be done alone while my team is either dying instantly to the killer or leads the killer to me. You are absolutely right. It is skill issue on the part of everyone who does not want to have teammates that make dumb decisions.

It helps practice tech and learn the maps/tiles/etc. It's very useful works almost as a sandbox for playing surv and trying things out.
plus you get to finally play the game and not having to make sure your teammates are doing the objective

Bots in tutorial are not very good. But I remember when I played mobile version there were killer bots and very good killer bots. So maybe once, but I don't really see much value of going against killer bots, for practice?
If they add killer bots I would love to play against them instead of players that use either the most disgusting builds or just want to torture you. Plus tbh bot survivors are 200% more useful than most of my teammates who get the entire team killed anyways. If there is killer bots consider solo que done for because who would want to play with ######### when you have a bot that is not trying to be a dick plus you get all perks for free not having to buy ######### from behaviour like it should be from the start lol

I’ve experienced less problems from my teammates since the anti go next went live. The most unfun aspect of playing Survivor was having my team give up at the most minor of problems, and turning a perfectly winnable match into a premature loss. Hell, it was a problem as Killer too, because facing a kneecapped team is boring.
The anti-go next system isn’t perfect and could use some touch ups, but it’s a million times better than having teammates ruining games.Cool for you just wait till you get 2 dumb teammates who are doing nothing and then you are gonna understand why some people give up when they see what cards they got out of the solo que

I am talking the old eulas pretty sure I think companies have to give refunds if they decide to change their eulas randomly. That is absolutely not a thing. Almost any EULA/ToS looked over by a legal team will always include a clause that the document itself is subject to change. The only legal requirement is that it be presented when it does change, which is why sometimes in games they pop up after a major update that necessitates the player to be informed. Nobody reads them because they get in the way of their dopamine hits, but they're still very legally binding. This isn't even getting into the intricacies of digital rights management, but it might surprise you to know you don't actually own almost anything thats been made in the last decade or two. You only own licenses to access the content, which can be revoked for a lot more reasons than you'd think. But thats another topic entirely.
As for BHVRs':
https://deadbydaylight.com/eula/
https://www.bhvr.com/terms-of-use/
As for finding specific text in there, I'm not going to do your homework for you, and I don't even represent BHVR. If you want to claim that they have no right, dig through it and find your own evidence. Your claim is the one that demands the burden of proof.
Okay, although to be fair I can't get a refund anymore but on the bright side I don't have to play their game so. Also yeah technically we don't own anything as you said but on the bright side if any company tries to pull some stunt stating we actually don't own the game we paid for we are free to do as we like with the game on the internet which is cool

The entire point of the system is to discourage ppl from constantly DCing if they want to play DBD or force ppl who constantly DC to not queue up. If you're not going to queue up because you can't handle not being able to DC 50% of your matches... the system is working great. I celebrate not having someone in my lobby who has a 50% chance of sabotaging the match.
Bruh the irony is I am not the one sabotaging the match its the dumb teammates who are not doing anything and the match is already lost because of them not because of me lol
-
@CrypticGirl said:
They're actually introducing a "play while you wait" thing in 2v8, but I have so many questions about it. Like, if a Killer lobby is found in the middle of their Survivor match, what happens? Does the Survivor get DC'd as they're transferred to the Killer lobby? Or do the Survivors have to wait while the Killer finishes their Survivor match?
ah I love these half assed solutions Behaviour cooks up. They are the only ones who do these things. Can't make things well enough in the first place.

Because matchmaking has been screwed up since the last reset done for MMR, about a year ago, which is also when the Go-Next epidemic started to happen. Now that the Go-Next epidemic is mostly resolved by the new system and encourages Survivors to stay in rounds, it's apparent that people going next have boosted MMR for some people and lowered it badly for others. I think we deserve at least a partial MMR reset to even things out.
I wonder if the survivors who don't want to be in just give up and sit in a corner like they should. I mean this little problem is not resolved at all its just the sympthoms being supressed for a little bit without resolving the core issue which is survivor being unfun due to teammates being stupid sometimes or the game being already decided the moment one of your teammates makes one tiny mistake

I almost play entirely solo queue and never really have these issues people commonly complain about. I suppose this is a higher MMR issue whereby other survivors know what they are doing, but I can only guess. I usually go out of my play to play altruistic. Is this not the kind of thing you're seeing?
Wow lucky you sadly almost all of my teams have at least one dummy on them and that is enough to get everyone killed and thus I am not playing the game anymore as the odds are stacked from the beginning in favor of the killer. Better to sit back and watch the burning fire in which this game is. Good that you have good games but most people just get dumb teammates that automatically decide that the match is lost unless you get lucky and the killer messes majorly somehow. Pretty much ######### the mmr and ######### whoever thinks its a good idea to make it so unreliable

Since you weren't able to digest it, the point of the disney comparison is that you cannot go out into a private business and use your admission cost as an excuse to break the rules you agree to when you purchase your ticket. Disney parks in particular are well known for giving people lifetime bans for breaking park rules, so it felt fitting.
We can't tell people who buys the game with money how to play for everyone elseThat's literally what ToS/EULA are. You're agreeing to certain terms to have access to the product you already purchased. Agree or disagree all you want, but you're sure as hell not going to get anywhere in court with that one. That's unfortunately how pretty much any game is now, especially if they are multiplayer, and especially if they use a live service model.
Im sorry... I hate to be thst guy. I really do. But my reasons are jo better than yours. I don't care what you say. That's not discussion, that's preaching. And its not exactly a noble cause. And its factually incorrect, ironically. You're pretending we have a consumer right that does not exist, because we all signed on the dotted line, and doing so is a requirement to even have access to the product. Companies can and do revoke licenses at their discretion when users refuse to abide by their rules and regulations.
Can you please point out where in the EULA it was stated that we are not allowed to leave the match or we get punished severely. I am talking the old eulas pretty sure I think companies have to give refunds if they decide to change their eulas randomly. I mean I would probably take the refund since the game is in such a poor state of unbalanced matching.

See there is a big difference if you lose due to the other side being more skilled and if you start losing because say you got matched with a teammate who is being useless, goes down 10 seconds in a chase and doesn't touch generators at all. The big problem is nobody wants to be losing because someone else gets in their way or is being useless. So the problem is MMR being absolute joke that does not work. I am not playing the game because long ago I found out its bullshit to lose because my teammates do dumb ######### or do nothing.

At no point would it be healthy for the game to allow ppl to ditch about 50% of their matches.
Perhaps but maybe if Behaviour makes an actually accurate MMR maybe it would work to force people to be in matches otherwise the rational people like me won't bother killing themselves by being matched with stupid teammates. In any case enjoy the system I won't play that though I'd rather have freedom than being forced to stay in a lost match since you can tell pretty quick when you lost.

This community man.you must live in another universe about 50% at best if not more of the matches are you playing with at best 1 more competent survivor while the rest make some stupid mistake that costs you the game or god forbid you get 3 idiots at once. At that point might as well not play the game anymore. Sadly watching someone make stupid decisions does make the blood of anyone boil because he ######### you over as well. Apart from getting DC penalties from being tunneled, those changes are fine. They needed to be done and will result in healthier game for both sides.
Yes it is so healthy for me to be fair. I am having a very good laugh at this ######### show currently they did a PRETTY GOOD JOB SO FAR. The only reason I am here is to read the shitshow behaviour makes every update. That is definitely increasing my lifespan with a good laugh for a few minutes.
-
@CrypticGirl said:
Yeah, that is totally unfair. A huge "Eff you" to people who have the occasional power or internet hiccup. And isn't the first penalty or so supposed to be forgiving for those occasions?
True but eh you know since they put those penalties and me having very unfun times in the game plus this new anti go next mechanic I have done what apparently Behaviour really wanted me to do and that is not giving them any attention lol. I quit the game I only launch it to play with a friend for like 1 hour max when he feels like it. If behaviour can't fix their game balance so badly that they need to literally force people to stay in their ######### matches which by the way people DC mostly because it is very obvious who already won the match within 2 minutes anyways or they go next for that reason. Some indeed do that because they got found first but really it is very obvious who wins at the end in the first 2 minutes its hilarious. I personally have 90% of my games being a total loss within the first 2 minutes so eh ######### this specific game. I am just gonna watch it burn from the side. It is waaaay more hilarious than playing it.

It took me 5 missed skill checks & by the time I died, she was in chase and proceeded to go down as well. Please revert this. Nobody asked for this.
the probability of reverting this is low I don't play the game because I sure as hell expected such bullshit to occur. My people are rarely represented in modern media, and if they are, they're probably depicted as people that steal, have missing teeth or people that do black magic and stuff (basically stereotypes). There are no games that I know of that include us aswell, with a flag or even a character. BHVr, this is your time to be the first one to include my people's flag in your game
Glad to hear you are not like that stereotype at least over here in my country I sadly have to say that most of them fit the stereotype which sucks in my opinion but when they refuse to let their kids learn in school and get good grades what can you do. Lets hope one day this stereotype will be fully gone along with the people who support it through their own doing!
-
@Memesis said:
BHVR is historically pretty good at including lots of diverse peoples and cultures in the game. I wouldn't be shocked to see direct representation in future original chapters. I do love that about DBD, there's something for everyone, and if it isn't there yet, it probably will be soon.
Yeah I guess at the very least they have been neutral on that front and just add everyone without supporting anything in particular which is fair.

I think I'm just going to retire from killer play and just go survivor for a while. It's disappointing, but BHVR has essentially reduced the amount of viable killers for experienced players to just a small number, and it's sad that small number is some of the most frustrating killers to play. That being said, maybe I'll return to killer one day if they finally make the low mobility m1 killers more viable and fun. I'm sure they'll be making Springtrap some dash killer - somehow. I'd just rather play killer in a way that's more engaging and fun for the survivors to face off against.
Yeah I agree I mean honestly it is sad as I have been saying this game has run its course. There has been no innovation or improvements. It is saddening because the limit always is the imagination of the developers but nah they want the lazy route they can have a slowly dying game if they want to.

@RpTheHotrod said:
I'm done. P100 ghostie main and been a supporter of dbd for years, but this is the straw that breaks the camel's back. I'm convinced they are just wanting to effectively retire no mobility m1 killers by making them so unappealing to playand instead focus on all killers moving forward having mobility in some form and then balance with that expectation. Uninstalling dbd today and not looking back.
I'm the "nice guy" kind of killer who doesn't tunnel and almost always gives last hatch. Sure there are other killers out there with dashes and all that, but frankly, it's not fun for survivors when they are getting pelted by these ridiculous killers who ignore the game balance like nurse\blight. Yes, I COULD just abandon the m1 killers I play and play nurse\ghoul\blight, but I'm not out to make the game into a miserable experience for the survivors, and facing those killers is exactly that. I always focused on the weaker killers to give people a break from the stress of the constant onslaughts of S tier killers. However, BHVR just simply doesn't allow the weak m1 killers to exist anymore - every single major patch has directly make their playing experience worse and worse. One less nice guy killer in DBD, now - being a nice guy killer is becoming more and more impossible. I reject the notion that I "must" tunnel or mass slug, but considering that the weaker m1 killers are clearly getting pushed out of being playable, I'm rejecting DBD itself. I'm not about to be a part of the problem and jump on the S-tier bandwagon making survivor play unfun.
Yup enjoy the break. I personally am enjoying never touching the game again it is my personal strike against this game developer's incompetence and lack of desire to do anything with their game. I am literally watching how other studios develop and improve their brand while respecting their customers and meanwhile on the other hand I watch how behaviour just ignores most of the community, make expensive dumb cosmetics that cost more than the game itself and dare to keep repeating the same dummy formula of getting other killers from somewhere else into their game cause that is the easy way to make money. I have gotten so tired of watching this that I JUST LOVE NOT PLAYING THIS GAME

M1's have always been in a bad spot but this takes the cake, might dip from dbd for a while due to this insane power gap between overly weak Perks/balanced Perks that overly buffed or nerfed and broken Perks & powers that just get stronger, I might return for the 9th anni/fnaf chapter but as of now, this is just completely unbalanced that I've ever seen the game in ever since i first started playing (which is year 1)
Enjoy the break to be honest everytime I think of how I haven't touched the game in 2 months I just feel a sense of relief that I don't have to participate in the insanity that is the dev's logic in balancing. I am also kinda still mad that the only thing bringing them half their money is killers from other franchises and them not making more of their own killers.

Nope they aren‘t a argument against stacking. If behavior would want to make them worth running on their own, they would have had their chance, but they rather decided to make them useless without it. Even without stacking one of these perks would need a rework, because they are nearly identical and we don‘t need two times the exact same perk.
well the point we all understand from this show isssss it will take them a decade to balance it just like it takes em a decade to make simple changes and what not. So for those playing enjoy whatever this is and for those watching for the sightlines I guess we will just um watch and wait to be proven wrong on thinking it will take a decade for them to do anything meaningful. GG

If a killer gives up because they can't find hiding survivors that aren't doing objectives after 10min you consider that a LOSS. But if a survivor gives up after all survivors are downed you consider that a DRAW? I would really like to understand the logic in that. These are the sort of ill conceived decisions that lead to all the tribalism in this game.
I have no issue with the 1st scenario being a LOSS but 2nd one should also be a LOSS. First of all, if all survivors are downed and have no perks to pick themselves back up or wiggle out, that means the game is over, they lost.
It's also very possible to snowball into a 2 to 4-man slug on certain killers, like a Honing Stone Trapper for example, but then have every intention to go hook everyone. It doesn't make sense that if the survivors DC before the killer has a chance to hook everyone it equals a DRAW but if they waited a little to be hooked it would then equal a LOSS.
This was not well thought out.
Not surprised Behaviour fumbles yet again. I am just so glad I stopped playing this god forsaken game. Literally anything else is better than endless sea of salt and pettiness beyond belief. I just wonder when will this game die? Probably after they run out of other horror franchises to use for their own game lmao

Yeah understandable. I gave up a while ago on playing DbD it has become just a cash grab at this point they can only release licensed killers and can't even make them balanced or programmed right before full release. Why even have a PTB if you release a broken product anyways and everyone is just having a terrible time. Guess what with flashbang and self care/shadows am still gonna gonna now be able to heal and even if you don't have lightborn which is common anyways, your gonna be blinded , so fast your Franklin's lol
flashbangs don't blind the killer if he has lightborn? They never did at least before. So yeah you are right if you play solo que you gotta be selfish or you are just gonna be dragged down by your teammates

Its a combination of two things.
The first being the gerneral consequence of a killer only chapter. New mechanics of an extremely popular character outside of DBD. People are flooding to play it
The second is survivors are taking a break from the game in large numbers. This is, in my case and others, because of the near constant games of back to back ghoul matches, coupled with the absurdly high rate of tunneling and slugging utilized to get the merciless achievement and the "Its a valid strat" people. It just isnt fun and so many like me, are taking a break until the hype dies down. You will see a decrease during the blood moon event.
TLTR: People wanna play as Kaneki, survivors are tired of kaneki and the hard tunneling
I haven't played the game in like 2 months and honestly I am pretty darn happy not to deal with such an unbalanced and unfair matchmaking. It is just so bullshit to always be facing agianst 8000 hour killers or survivors. The moment I see how many damn hours they have I just don't wish to deal with them. Not to mention the constantly same ######### I see about the same 15 perks every game as killer or survivor and the same strategy applied by both sides every game. I much rather stream other things even cartoon idv is better lol. Cause sometimes even 1 bad match on killer sided by light specially when with potatoes solo q makes me nope not streaming this today.
Even my 3man swf is not enough now if not 4 man I will pass, as it even take one dumb solo q person trying to be wannabe jrm/aryun wasting time chasing a killer with a flashlight who has crutches born is annoying or pulling me or said 2 man off hooks clearly farming us for the killer.
Also lets not forget flashlights are completely worthless. The killer has a brain and does not let you blind him even at a pallet anymore. I just never bring flashlight although a medkit is barely good with needing so much just for 1 or 2 heals and toolboxes are the only viable thing but the killer might just go kill you for bringing a toolbox. Just sucks too much to use anything anymore if you play survivor you just won't have a good time almost all the time

you are pretty right I mean I overall just quit the game and keep it for when a friend wants us to play custom games. After playing the Ghoul yesterday for three hours, I have to say that he is one beat designed killers in the game to play as that it. Being able to swing around the map quickly is very fun and chasing survivors with the power is even funner. Having the three dashes increases this fun and being able to learn him mechanically if very interesting. However, he is a bit too strong and is boring to verse as the survivor side which I understand. To resolve this, I believe that the hit box for his power should be lowered. This Will mean that the Ghoul players Will need to be more accurate with the power rather than not needing to do much. The enraged ability should also be reduced to 30 seconds due to how easy it is to get. I believe these two changes are the main problems people have with the Ghoul and fixing these will makes people experience against him much popular.
tbh I don't think I ever wanna touch a dbd match again because they continue adding ridiculous killers who make no sense and at this point are repeating powers. Just because they slightly changed the power idea doesn't mean it is not the same. Honestly I am glad I ######### off from DbD because every update things just become more weird, confusing and in general not horror like at all. They should just call this a pvp first person killer vs 4 third person survivors and be done with it cause its just lying at this point that this is a horror game and not a killer roster with repetitive gameplay loop that never changes because nobody can update the game faster than a snail.

You're absolutely right, there isn't anything else that we can reasonably expect a killer to do. Just because a situation cant be corrected or fixed, it doesn't mean it cant be made more fun or thrilling. If the range of the anti tunnel mechanic is increased, then the killer will likely face camp from further away, which should make it easier for survivors to rescue their team mates. The run from the hook to the exit gate will definitely be nerve racking and should provide a thrill for both killers and survivors. I don't know if this will mess up survivor escape rates too much, so this is just a general idea.
Thank God I stopped playing this game but seriously logically speaking you think the side that is winning should have an advantage??? If the survivors finished all generators and got the gates powered you think they need to have an advantage of having anti camp meter for the killer during that time. Like seriously you expect every single killer to magically go kill all other survivors that are left when he knows there is 2 or 3 of them against him do I have to remind you not every killer is Blight so they can run around the map and find someone immediately. Leaving the hook unguarded is like telling the survivors to just go save their friend for free and all leave without a worry in the world. Seems pretty unfair

You should probably decide if I'm happy with hux or not before you dedicate two different posts to telling me that i'm happy with him|unhappy with him.
I think he needs retuning away from his power acting as a zoning tool because it keeps validating him playing 3 gen strategies. OP dodged this point repeatedly, so I expressed that the conversation was over becuase they're uninterested in actually engaging with me on any level.
I'm not happy with hux. I've not been happy with hux since he released, and have advocated for nerfs for nearly 2 years now. But the changes suggested by OP are not the nerfs he needs to be healthy. They're nerfs that will encourage an unhealthy strategy that he's already too good at.
I get that pallet blitzing can be frustrating, especially on a rarer killer with a skilled playerbase. But trying to force zoning tools on a killer that has the option to refuse interacting with chases entirely is not the solution. Maybe it could be, if 3 genning strategies weren't the norm on hux post-buff. But they are.
And pretty much because of all this I have stopped playing the game because the devs never do their job right and it takes them ages to adress any issues. I literally keep the game installed for like one friend in particular because all gameplay on both sides suck especially when we add different killers in. So uh yeah nothing can be balanced and honestly I guess we will never have a normal DbD game anyways. I still dislike his power and overall it is indeed feeling like behaviour just thinks of a power makes it never tests it and then everyone is just annoyed. I am just here to read what people say mostly since you know Behaviour does not listen to their community nor do they care much especially when you know only their skin desgin and creation team is the only one doing their job correctly.

EMPs haven't really even prevented map pressure since the first round of nerfs they got. I've been saying they've needed buffs for well over a year now.
I've spent frankly way too long dealing with people that want hux to be in the state he's in. I just want the killer I play to be healthy. Apparently that's a huge ask.
Yeah thanks for being honest I personally haven't played him but I've had a few games with him it does not take much to actually notice what is wrong with him since most singularities indeed just spam pods and slipstream you and tp until you die.

So you've:
- dodged cocnerns about encouraging 3 genning every time its been brought up
- strawmanned my position
Do I need to tell you we're done here, or can this just be the end of it?
I guess we can all shut up as you want and stop complaining about a killer who can spam his power with no brain usage. Since you are so bloody happy with it you can have it your way man. Have fun playing against singularity with your so coordinated survivor friend squad and your oh so skilled hands. We will just continue discussing the problems while you ignore them and have fun being chased by a current singularity or better yet you can play him and apply the same braindead tactic of spamming slipstreams and breaking everything.

I agree that he's strong (maybe not quite top 1 strong but a very solid top 5 contender) but your suggestion only emboldens 3 gen strategies which are unhealthy enough as is.
Instead of a biopod that takes 10 seconds to turn on, buff EMP availability and use range, and it'll be a huge step in the right direction. It makes getting rid of Slipstream easier because more survivors have EMPs faster and can more quickly use them to help in chase.
Agreed he needs a nerf of sorts for sure but you just wait for the Singularity defenders to come here later and say how wrong we are because if we have emps we can shut his power down for good as if he can't replace it within 10 seconds. The only good thing emps do is prevent him from teleporting to the other side of the map if he sees you doing a generator but he can definitely hold a 3 gen if he wants to. He can also as we all said spam his pods until he can teleport to you for eternity. I even gave the situation of playing with a friend once and the only reason he lasted longer than 30 seconds was cause I knew where he was and used emp to get him more time. Literally against this killer you can't do anything cause he does everything fast and can teleport to your ass

He's not stronger than a good Nurse but he's definitely another example of an overpowered killer that requires only low skill cheese tactics to succeed. At least you can pre drop pallets against him unlike Nurse that just ignores them entirely.
eh the pre dropping might as well be buying you 0.5 seconds of time honestly if he sees you are pre dropping he might just use you to remove every pallet on the map anyways.

Sure, nurse and billy and blight are all touted as the top meta killers, but they all have weaknesses. While nurse can literally warp through walls and other obstacles, she is otherwise extremely slow and doesn't have an instant down ability. Billy has instant down and can sprint across the map (if he doesn't run into obstacles) but actually landing that chainsaw is quite difficult. He has very little control of his sprint. Blight is somewhere in between.. he can't keep up the sustained speed for long nor in a straight line across the entire map, but can use his bounces to navigate around loops quickly and get hits.
The thing about Singularity is this: like nurse, pallets and windows mean nothing to this killer. The slipstream allows the singularity to vault over windows at incredible speeds, and pallets are ineffective. Predropping a pallet results in it being instantly broken, and landing a stun is out of the question since singularity shrugs it off and can just get the hit anyway, merely being slowed for a time. Even if the survivor manages to outplay singularity or otherwise make distance, he just uses his power and immediately catches back up again. While singularity cannot outright ignore walls, his approach is swift and inevitable. Nurse has the potential to instantly snipe survivors through walls, but this isn't reliable. When you amortize the average amount of time spent in chase, and combine that with the quickly-depleting resources on the map, singularity is about on par with nurse in terms of chase ability.
Singularity also has extremely high map presence. The pods placed around the map at key strategic locations ensure that the singularity can keep an eye on the objectives at all times. And when survivors already have a slipstream on their backs, he can just teleport over. So singularity receives a great deal of info with its pods, and can practically be two places at once. Seeing as singularity is as strong as nurse in chase, and has superior mobility, this hands down makes it the strongest killer in the game.
"So just use an EMP," you say. Wrong! The EMP only practically prevents the singularity from utilizing its pods when it isn't near you. However, when the singularity is nearby or in chase, this is an entirely different matter. The singularity can quickly replace pods that have been EMP'd, which is fair enough I guess considering you both have wasted time. What is really problematic, however, is what happens during chase. The survivors could waste upwards of thirty seconds just finding a crate, printing an EMP, and charging it to remove the slipstream. But then, when the killer finds them and begins chase, they can quickly reapply the slipstream they just removed with absolutely no prior setup. All the singularity has to do is place a new biopod at a corner of a loop or somewhere vaguely in front of the survivor they are chasing, immediately switch to that pod, and them blammo! They instantly get a new slipstream.
This is the main design problem that makes singularity unbalanced. The ability to place a fresh pod and then immediately tag a survivor with it 0.3 seconds later is broken!
So how to fix singularity and make it more fair? Simple. When a new pod is created, it should be unable to target survivors and shoot them until at least 5 seconds have passed since its creation. Or you know what? Call me crazy and make it 10 seconds, but allow an addon to reduce that time. This change would actually make EMPs more impactful in chase and allow for a chance to not be tagged by a fresh pod. I mean at least if that was changed, then it would be like the classic trapper/clown/artist/skull merchant situation, where killer uses power and effectively shuts down that loop, forcing the survivor to move to another loop.
Geee thanks for finally someone seeing this. I talked about this like months ago and I was told well just use emps and you should not be able to last against a killer for long and no this killer is not so strong. I literally said the same thing as you and almost everyone said I am wrong. Finally someone woke up to see the problem lol

I have played about 20 games in a row now and every. Single. One. Had a camping killer even with no gens completed, they would immediately find someone and camp back up just far enough for the bar not to move and sit there. This is a constant problem. Makes me not even want to play if I’m going to be hooked in the first minute of the game and die. I carry a tool box and am ready to do some gens but don’t even get to use it and then lose it. It’s like bass pro had a major camping discount.
My best advice just don't play. The game is in a rather poor state. I have had a great time not stressing or getting tired of the same stuff that happens in the game. Just go have fun with something else and ignore this game. I am just coming to the forums to check up on the new complaints for the game is all.

well it is anti FACE camp but yet again for the 1000th time someone called it anti camp instead completelly missing what it is . Ressurgence is the ultimate anti camp perk if that's an issue you face .
thanks for mentioning the most paid to win perk out of all of them. I honestly can't think of another perk that gives so much and has to be bought or wait like a moron for the shrine to update.

I agree Slinger feels like he's on a short end of the stick, I don't think TR is the right way to buff him though.
Regarding TR based thing, the difference of the 2 is Huntress has a much better one-two punch knockdown ability that Slinger just doesn't have due to her quick hatchet throw recovery, thus she has her lullaby to limit her ability to make use of Undetectable perks. Slinger on the other hand CAN use Undetectable perks quite well, and given the speed of his projectile, a good Slinger with undetectable can be pretty game defining.
That said, the combination of weaknesses he has: -
- 4.4m/s for poor looping and map traversal.
- 32m Terror Radius and relatively tall profile giving vulnerability to pre-running and voice comms.
- Long recovery times after each use of power (hit or miss).
- Relatively long to injure time for each use of power.
- Down not guaranteed on power hits at certain tiles.
- Very vulnerable to body blocking, with ample time for Survivors to do it.
- Limited range of 18m.
It's clear he just has more hoops to jump through than Huntress. He does have add-ons and perk options to address some of these problems but I don't think TR changes really address these issues for him (a SWF on voice comms is still gonna give him just as much grief even if you lower his TR).
Obviously we've also got the issue that Deep Wounds has also been repeatedly nerfed for him, and it was already a meh part of his kit, because unlike Legion, it's rare you want to drop chase to hit and run on Slinger; he doesn't have the kind of action economy/map traversal to allow it, even if he finds 2 players at once.
Off top of my head, I'd almost be tempted to suggest adding one or multiple of these feature: -
- Making a greater than 12m shot at basekit should just down an injured survivor.
- Let his harpoon go through players and hit multiple targets. (If he skewers both, he can still only melee one, but it prevents the other from making distance if the team is body blocking for them).
- Give him a double shot, where he basically has a single rapid reload on a miss and/or a hit cancel to fire 2 shots in quick succession. (Unrelenting could allow for him to cancel a tag he doesn't want for another shot pretty quickly).
I feel like something like these would make him stand out a bit more from Huntress, rather than make him more homogenous to her with a smaller TR.
I will also add up the fact that his iri coin add has a chance to not work at all if you catch the survivor just at the end of your spear cause they got plenty of time to get out before he can actually hit them I had such thing happen once I literally could not reel them in fast enough before the chain break I tried hitting but nope it is 1 second before the status dissapears so they get scot free with one hit

Yes I would love to have one option to choose one killer to never face in a match. It would absolutely lessen the probability of me quitting the game. It is not bad idea you can just not give swf the option to ban a killer from the search and we are done boom.

You have correctly brought up the point that Wesker's map mobility is NOT tied to his kill potential, thus there's no real justification for his 40m terror radius. Billy and Blight's map mobility are inherently tied to their lethality whereas Wesker becomes an M1 killer for a while when he arrives at his destination. His power has significant tradeoffs when used for mobility compared to other killers so I agree that a 40m terror radius is not justified.
meanwhile deathslinger who has 32 meter radius and has a shittier power than huntress who got 16 meter terror radius such an amazing logic from behaviour :D

the guards only function as intended if the survivor is able to move at least 4 m/s
Says who? It's called synergy. By your own logic it's "unintentional" that Legion works so well with Thanataphobia because he can injure multiple people consistently. Knight being able to Hinder survivors to give his minions an advantage is a perfect example of Power and Perk synergy.
Frankly I'm glad and happy to see movement speed being used more as a mechanic. We need more unique ways to slow down Survivors and make them more chaseable and this is a good, creative way of doing it while also punishing a mechanic that doesn't have a large amount of counters to it (pre-dropping.)
The real issue is that they played it really safe with the numbers. 5% for 5 seconds is just a tad bit too low. It's on the cusp of being good. Even if both of those values were just increased by 1 (so 6% for 6 seconds) it would be viable without being overpowered.
And frankly I am glad I never will play against Knight ever since the last few games I had with him his stupid guards just walk through walls so no point in even playing with him lol his power is just unfair he can have fun with people that can tolerate him.
