@darktrix And that is how survivors become killers. The lore finally makes sense.
-
I heard someone say the ability to put dropped pallets back up. Putting them back up is more fair, even then the perk would need at least a time delay.
-
The devs have thought of this and brought it up in a stream before, but they said it would allow the same amount of trolling from the other side.
The idea to disincentive this was separating the 1500 unhook points into 1000 for the unhook, 500 for the unhook being 'safe' (I personally would have prefer to see those reversed). They also put a harsh penalty on the benevolence emblem if the person gets knocked back down.
It is not going to happen and as others said that is probably for the best.
-
There is nothing they can do other than make non SWF players stronger, which I doubt it what you're after.
Also, it's hysterical, everyone whines that rank doesn't matter but then they will complain if they are with ranks below or above them.
Is it fair to put people who are still struggling to learn the game to peg them with people who are skilled and have been playing?
-
I 100% agree with you on this! Upvoted

if you don’t realize why a Legion change was necessary, please watch Farmer John’s video on using Legion with Franks+Cold Dirt. He literally did NOT put in any skill and constantly 4K’d and/or made people DC.
Never saw that video. I did not know how bad it could be. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with you Claudettes, Megs, and Dwights are common. Possibly because they are free; but I imagine the potential to customize them is part of it too, sorry Laurie and friends.
Makes getting the Jake for Leather Face that is quite a challenge (even harder since I never play Leather Face).
-
No matter what the surprise is, we are going to get a ton of information (via the PTB) on the mid chapter patch tomorrow! :)
-
Hmmm.. something we've never seen before.
-
Oh! I like the idea of the salt mines!
Keep the sour grapes together, honestly, if you want to ruin everyone else's games then I do not much care for you wait times (this made more reasonable with the End Game Collapse, there have been more than a few killer games that I wanted the match to end but people just would not leave!) .
I would just feel bad for people who have crumby internet and get dc'ed against their will.
-
Recalling what happened when closing the hatch was last tested: killers would find the hatch, then just camp it until they saw the survivor, then close it so the survivor was toast, at least then there was still the generator option. The Collaspse as it is has this same annoyance with it, people creeping around.
Why not do something like if one survivor is left the Collapse starts, the hatch opens and the gates power, but the hatch is shown just like the gates are shown.
That way there is some strategy on both sides, killer would have to consider going for the hatch to close it, but a survivor could be opening a gate. The survivor would have to decide to risk opening the gate or be caught and lose time hunting for the hatch that may get closed. The killer could even camp the hatch, but risk the survivor going to a gate, but if the spot the survivor going for the hatch, then they win. Truly risk-reward big decision making.

The SWF made me lough out loud! I find myself rewatching it because it is just so great!
-
Well put on all accounts @TheMidnightRidr
-
I think making is so that if you are the obsession you should have to wiggle to 35% then if you aren't then one of two options:
You do not get it at all
You have to wiggle to 70%This would prevent dribbling and make it so that decisive is not such a pain.
If the only one decisive per game idea was used it would truly play on the risk/reward; either the survivor gets it or if they did not communicate with their team in the lobby they may not get it at all.
-
As the killer I do not do that because it is so dull and cheeky. As the survivors its torture because as the downed person there is nothing you can do, I wish there was a way to ######### on the ground kind of like letting yourself die on the hook. Slugging around for 4 minutes while the killer just stares at you makes me want to DC; I do not do that, but it is basically as bad as a game can be on the survivor side.
It can be said Unbreakable is there to get the survivor up, but if the killer is standing right there staring at them, that one up is not going to do them much good.
-
It could be a bit much, it may not be considered since it more or less is what Pop Goes the Weasel does.
Though it would be a bananas build to have your suggestion, pop goes the weasel, and overcharge. Gen defender.
-
I said Chinese, not Japanese.

-
I have heard people say she sounds like a 1920s gangster, Waluigi, or a typical villain with a handlebar mustache from a cartoon, I personally can't choose my favorite off that list, but she definitely does not sound like the torture spirit of a Chinese woman/girl.
I had imagined it more like nails on glass kind of sound, more towards a pitched Feng with a slight distortion.
-
This is super frustrating I agree, particularly when people go back into the game. I have gotten better so this happens less often, but when it does it is just soul crushing. It is impolite to D/C so I would just wander around trying to find someone to make them leave and let the game end.
I think this is what the Devs mean when they say they want to look at the end game experience and how it plays out. I do not know what they will come up with, but I hope it is something cool (and hopefully less soul crushing than it is now).
-
Yes! It is cool to have the bloody option, but It is kind of a bummer to not be able to use them since "bloody" just boils down to a single cosmetic option as opposed to a "status" symbol. I know its work to add the bloody, but it is also work to prestige our favorite killers and survivors. Up vote.

Funny I mentioned this in a post last week and I was talking about it last night. Survivors really shouldn't get a notification until they are actually affected by the perk, just seem unfair to the killer.
-
The last the Devs said is that there needed to be a rework around the points and emblems and how they would be affected by the new mechanic.
There has not been a mention for about a month now. But they have said multiple times that they want to rework the entire end game, so it is possible they are going to do something bigger around the whole endgame rather than just focus on the current hatch situation.
Generally it would be a pretty big change to the game and it would be best to have it thoroughly tested, rather than push out a big change then have to pull it back.
But we can keep our fingers crossed for something cool in the future.
-
I see what you mean, though maybe the plaid flannel is slightly more useful so maybe make it uncommon? But I completely agree that it should not be very rare.
@KillerRaccoon Agreed, thought I think it may have been bugged for a while, but I also never saw value in it.
-
The survivors should not get to know, but the killers deserve this. Just make it like make your choice and have the icon have the little timer on it.
-
I know FPS could be a potential problem and it would be wonky on indoor maps (the game, Lery's (maybe the offering would just be wasted on these maps)).
BUT, I could not agree more with this post! This would be awesome!!!! The extra layer of realism and having to listen extra carefully for sounds of the killer/survivor. Plus it would give every map to be a little different, you may have played Coldwind Farms 200 times, but have you played it in the snow?!
Up-voting!

Option B does sound like a solid idea, the choice to play as immersed as possible would be nice to have and I am sure many people would appreciate it.
One thing I 100% agree with is that lullaby should not be known until there is at least one stack. Whenever I see that as survivor I always wonder why the heck I am getting that notification if I am not even truly impacted yet. As a killer I do not use it so I cannot add anything on that side, but it seems unfair to the killer.
-
@KillerRaccoon May God have mercy on your soul haha (may I ask how much you've already spent?)
I bought all the killers/survivors, but I have been cheaping out with cosmetics myself.

You have some solid ideas!
I like the Dying Light idea, since current Dying Light does not match with Myer's other perks and it really just forces the killer to tunnel down the obsession.
Decisive Strike - I actually liked most of the Dev's original backup plan. You would have to use it on your first attempt and using it would permanently put you into the injured state. They could combo it with your idea to have the non-obsession not have the ability to actually escape.
Wake Up is not too helpful in my opinion and I think it would make sense to at least have it actually wake you up, kind of like adrenaline, make it work when the gens are done. Maybe even have it take you one tier lower in madness when the gens are done. It would still be very situational, but at least it would be more useful.
Fire Up is tough since it could stack with other in game functionality (a danger shown with tinkerer and how it had to be reworked because of it), but it does need something.
Surveillance - Your idea is awesome, as is it just mind games yourself and does not do much. Your way would give it utility; as with most distance perks, I see it being especially strong on nurse and hillbilly.
Overall, really cool ideas.
-
This is a really interesting idea! Kind of a Pandora's Box kind of perk, the totem was keeping the evil in!
-
It is also kind of funny when you get off a gen to heal someone and the gen sucks you back in to keep fixing it.
-
I actually like Dwight's perks (not Prove Thyself, because it is garbage), but Bond and Leader are fun.
-
I REALLY like the idea of the survivors not just being different skins. I have also spent a weirdly large amount of time pondering ways to do this, honestly I have not had much luck. I had considered each survivor having their 4 perks innately, it makes sense in a logical way; after all, if Meg is fast, somehow she can switch a perk and now she's... not fast? My main concern with this approach is that it would make some survivors so favored to the point of it being ridiculous, like Claudette to heal. If this approach was taken it would only be fair to give the killers all their teachables as well.
It also work for the killer since they would know to some degree who is likely capable of what and decide how to play against them. IE Anti healing build, maybe it is better to focus on Claudette.
I think the idea of a 4th tier could be cool, I mean you would imagine the person doing the teaching is likely better at their teachable than who they taught it to. But a similar concern comes back to making some characters extra favored over others for their play-ability. Granted you could make the same case for survivors who hide easier like Feng being smaller, so maybe I am just being silly.
Regardless, I do agree that survivors should be more than a skin and I think your 4th level idea could be a cool way to do that!
-
This was fantastic! Thank you for making me smile!!

-
I think we can all agree Quinten and Nea are the best looking haha

No one beats my Main Man Dwight

-
I think gen tapping is a different issue from the interactions, I see what you mean but I think the chest/gate interactions should be treated differently.
-
@BraveClem Haha that would be quite something and it was part of a horror scene. Googled it and Reddit apparently agrees

This is a thought that occasionally crosses my mind, but I have to go with @GT_Legend2, it would dig into the horror atmosphere too much.
Samination on Youtube made find of the Friday the 13th games for including the dance emotes. The corresponding goof happens at the at the 1 min 20 sec mark.

The only time self care really irks me is mid chase, especially when they are on the other side of the pallet as I'm breaking it.
I had thought about the not while in terror radius, but that would make some maps ridiculous for survivors (as if the Game does not destroy them enough). It would also dampen the use of A Nurse's Calling. It is great when a ballsy survivor is trying to heal when you are nearby and you get them.
I would say out of all the ideas so far the "special places" idea is my favorite, I would say the places should be numerous so the killer cannot necessarily just find someone because they are specifically at one of those locations. -
I agree, good stealth feels good and in "reality" I would not want to be found by the knife/chainsaw/etc wielding maniac.
Plus it aligns with the Devs current stance of wanting the survivors to loser the killer in a chase. Many survivors are happier being right in front of the killer to get the points and emblems that go along with that. Plus survivors get stuck against killers who do poorly and somehow they get punished for the killer not finding them, to make matters worse it keeps those survivors at the same rank as the killer who they just avoided for a match.
-
This is something that has always confused me in a logical sense. You could argue that part of the time taken is the pulling the lever, but then why does it keep progressing the second time the lever is being pulled?
So I agree.
-
A heartbreaking current reality for all the licensed killer/survivors.
Not to be off topic, but I wonder if any further licensed properties will come with a larger set now that cosmetics have become more prominent.
-
Not to group the two without a full understanding, but are you implying a kind of Slenderman type character?
I would be happy with another more supernatural killer to go along with the Nurse. Eerie killers always fit right in especially in the MacMillian maps.
-
I personally do not find any use in Up The Ante, but Open Handed can have some fun combinations with other perks, but that is just me.
-
I think that would be a great idea! I mean a haunted mansion/house is a classic horror staple that has a lot of neat possibilities all the way to map specific interactions!
-
I agree with the other posters. Swimsuits would break some of the atmosphere, some of the survivor outfits (while cool) are already a little out of place. This was a "problem" in Friday the 13th the game, Samination made a joke of it in his parody video (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8uBTUcfTeI).But Halloween costumes could be cool, maybe more so for the killers; the nurse pumpkin head is pretty spooky, so I could imagine having some neat Halloween costumes.
