Hi there, stuck at 41/48, done way more quests than required 😥
You will have to complete every single quest to get the reward
-
Hey guys, a little update for everybody. I reported this issue as @ThatRyanB suggested and I received a reply 5 minutes after my submitting my ticket. See the reply below:
Thank you for reaching out to BHVR support, I'm Katherine and I will help you today.
I understand that you're unable to complete 48 Rift quest and I am sorry to hear about this. Let me provide clarification about this.
Kindly know that Completion Quests do not count towards the progress of other Completion quests however, this is fixed now and you can progress on the other quests to continue progressing.
If you have any other questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to us again and we appreciate your love and support for Dead by Daylight.See you in The Fog.
So for anybody who doesn't quite understand what she meant, it's this: The "complete 3 quests this week" quests within each week don't count towards the overall progression, so out of the 5 quests in each week only 4 count towards the overall progression (4 quests x 12 weeks = 48 quests overall).
➡️ While the counter still seems to be out of sync/incorrect, this basically means that all quests for all weeks have to be completed to earn the last reward. -
Upvoting this because I'm stuck at 47/48 but I have completed 59 quests. I wonder if the issue has something to do with Rift Pass Week 6. I reported a bug a while back about that Rift week, that my "Being chased for 200 seconds" quest wasn't progessing at all until it was miraculously ticked off later but I don't remember ever getting rewards for it.
-
I have the legacy prestige skin on my Meg but I'd love to have a Legacy Prestige Badge to display, so I'm not locked to playing my Meg to show it off a little!
-
Gave a thumbs up as same problem. How this issue still exists, despite knowing that this has been a reoccurring problem after almost every previous chapter release for the past 4 years, is beyond me. 🤷♀️
-
Yes same issue. 😤

You mean I didn't need to stay up til 5:30 am last night to finish it? 🤬
Omg literally me last night. I stayed up until 5am too to finish it as I didn't want to rush the last few hours the following morning.
-
As people previously said: All the putrid serums can be collected until the end of the Rift, which ends in about 62 days or so, plus another 2 weeks time after that to spend them. The event ends on the 14th, yes, but that will only mean that we can no longer use the event offerings or earn the event items in the bloodweb, that's all.

These dedicated servers are a joke. I'm in the UK and I used to get lobbies within seconds, now I have to wait at least 20-30 mins to get a killer lobby regardless of my rank. And finding a lobby as survivor takes 5-10 mins. Wish dedicated servers never happened...
-
At least you're getting lobbies. I used have lobbies instantly, now I have to wait ~5 mins as a rank 1 survivor and at least 20-30 mins as a killer, regardless of rank.
How am I supposed to play the killer tomes when I have to wait an eternity to find a lobby...
-
I'd also like a mod to comment on this. The achievement has always be ridiculous and never made any sense as it completely goes against the purpose of his power and is extremely luck based unless you just farm with survivors.
But the achievement will need to be changed under the new legion updates, the possibility to get it will be close to nil and it makes little sense to give the weakest of all killers the most difficult achievement. They never even changed the wording of the achievement to avoid confusion even though they said they logged it in with the team.
-
I always use the legacy head on my Meg and although I don't see other legacy players too often I'd say I see at least 1 or 2 every month but they are usually Claudettes or Jakes.
-
Because the game is matching all 4 survivors plus the killer together at the same time.

@ComelyStar You misunderstand. The survs are not supposed to walk around the map after the killer has left the match.
The killer leaves and ends the match.
That doesn't work. He could technically hook 1, 2 or 3 survivors and then simply walk out before the 4th one has a chance to do anything. That way the suggestion doesn't make any sense.
-
This will not happen until we have at least dedicated servers. Right now the games are hosted through the killer, so he cannot just simply leave the match and leave survivors behind.
-
Agreed. Only survivors with a very unbalanced way of playing are complaining about not pipping or de-pipping.
There is no justifiable reason to receive 2 pips for an overall average game/gameplay style. And you don't need to loop to get pips. Actually, the opposite will be true because then you are not doing anything else and missing out on points. They obviously don't understand how the system is supposed to work and just want everything given to them.
-
@IamFran said:
As survivor I usually get a black pip because I play stealthy insteand being a looper, so almost no chase points for me = black pip.
This is bad, yes.
I play stealthy and never loop and I do not have this problem. Sometimes I will deliberately make the killer chase me to get some points but most of the time I stack up by sabotaging and destroying totems.. and just staying hidden within the killers terror radius.
TBH I don't see how survivors have such a big problem with the new ranking system. It's more accurate and only rewards where rewarding is appropriate.

It matters if you want a team who can play in Solo.
I play solo 99% of the time and have done so for the past 4K hours. I still don't see a problem.
-
There is no problem. And I don't really notice a difference anyway but I play pretty balanced. Who cares about ranks anyway?
-
Some achievements are broken now. I just repaired the temple gen and escaped and did not get the achievement.
-
Almost the same situation. Just standing around when he could have unhooked survivors right next to him while the killer was at the other end of the map, just went around destroying the odd totem and helped to heal someone once before standing in a corner again until I was the last one alive and bleeding out on the ground. Eventually the killer helped me up because he knew the survivor wasnt doing anything so I showed him where that survivor was and he got punished for it. Well deserved in my opinion.Coriander said:If they're stealthing, fine. I used to be like that. Today I witnessed an Ace doing laps around the map edge and nothing else. He didn't touch a gen or a totem the entire time, just evading the timer-crows and waiting for the gates to open. Surely this is not the immersion everyone is referring to?
-
It's not even about being immersed. I usually don't have a problem with survivor not doing much but when they just blatantly stand behind some boxes with a survivor hooked infront of them and they don't unhook them even tho the killer is at the other end of the map and I have to come to unhook them then I have a problem. I also run Bond so I see exactly when they just stand around somewhere. They destroy the flow of the game, they don't make it enjoyable at all because it's so obvious they just want it easy. It's just like someone DCing leaving 3 survivors with 5 gens. It destroys the gameplay experience.fluffybunny said:Some people are far too immersed for their own good, but that's part of surviving for them and that's ultimately a survivor's goal. It's easier when everyone does their part and I personally find it a loss if I'm the only one able to leave, but not everyone is like that. I usually run bond to see people and beckon for them to follow if they're being too immersive and I don't usually have issues with people doing nothing, but you can't really influence what people do while you're in a chase.
-
If you don't own it neither of you will be able to play. The game will still be installed from the free weekend but not playable until you purchase it (I assume, I have never used a free weekend.)

Best thing to do is to try and help them out, not always gonna work but at least your helping. You don’t the reason behind why they play the way they do and if you don’t win just brush it off. You know you did your best.💪☝️Help someone who behaves like this with over 200hrs experience, rank 8 and advertising a dbd twitch account? I don't think so. The reason is clear: They just want to have easy points, let others do the work and if it doesn't work out just hatch it.
-
Neat! I suggested something like this to be added in the "wishlist" category over half a year ago. Nice to see that at least there is an external program to use.

SURVIVOR/KILLER UI
● Add a 'randomize perks' button that lets the game choose a random set of perks, just for fun
Example picture:
-
It's bannable, yes, but you'd need some sort of proof like screenshots or a video where the behaviour is seen/admitted to.
-
The change should definitely be reverted. Before survivors were actually working together against the killer... now its survivors vs survivors vs killers and that is NOT the point of the game!
-
Second post I see by this person. Before long, you will be banned from the forums for spamming something nobody wants. Close please @MandyTalk ?
-
@AlwaysInAGoodShape said:
So for the question:
Since there are a lot of misconceptions about what the bannable offences are, wouldn't it be better to disable a person's account from reporting when they abuse the report system, instead of banning their account itself?Totally agree on this. The in-game report system doesn't list the things above as not being reportable offences so banning people for simply 'not knowing' or 'not following the forums' is wrong as I still know people who do not know that you can't report people for dribbling, bodyblocking etc. You can't ban people for doing what they are told to do but not telling them how to do it correctly in-game.
-
Yeah, I'd also love to see firecrackers permanently added to the gameplay. They did once, a long time ago, say that it would most probably happen but it still has not.
-
It's already 12 vs 4 perks. Jesus people, how much more do you want... No need for any more perk slots at all..
-
Complaining about 2 blinks being insane when she used to have 3 by default and with add-ons almost every Nurse ended up having 5 blinks - enough to get from end of the map to the other lol
Just tells you they are not only total noobs but also total newbies. -
Never. Rank 1 survivor and I always find a lobby within 5 seconds. Just a lot of DCs, crashes etc.
-
This monstrosity needs to be fixed. I paid money of this when it looked good but since the engine change it just looks like she's got a fan stuck up her a**, put on 10kg of weight around her hips and a** while the ends of her skirt are taped to the back of her knee. What.

-
Probably because most adults will be spending the time directly before and during christmas with friends and family, probably even away from home and they won't have time to be at the computer until after christmas.
It only makes sense to be honest. -
For playing myself:
Killers
1 - Nurse
2 - Spirit
3 - HuntressSurvivors
1 - Meg
2 - Kate
3 - Jake -

@MrEqunimity Yes our QA Team bugged the description because the actual description omits to specify that the survivors have to be downed during the same killer Instinct activation. So yes, this will be changed.
To be honest, no point in "fixing" the description when the achievement requirements need to be fixed...
-
Unfortunately this joke is not gonna get fixed... only the description will be.
@Patricia said:

Totally agree on that. I did the Skilled Huntress while it was still 100 survivors not only 20 but I always supported that such ridiculous achievements get changed. Changing a small but significant condition to get peogress on Deranged Pursuit (doing it without Killer Instinct active) is nothing in comparison to the above. Afterall, the description doesn't even mention Killer Instinct.anarchy753 said:I've spent basically 2 full days on it and got it. It is COMPLETELY counter-intuitive to how killer instincts works. It not only doesn't reveal already bleeding enemies, it hides their scratch marks to make re-finding them insanely hard. To get ANY of the scores for it, I've had to chase people for upwards of 3 minutes keeping them from bleeding out until they get near an ally, which doesn't happen because deep wounds SHOWS them allies to avoid them. 90% of the time they find a patch of ground and just start running in circles or mend in front of you because they don't know what's going on. I've gone game after game after game with no hooks because to do this completely unnatural playstyle means NOBODY goes down all game. You literally need to chase someone until an ally gets curious as to what the hell you're doing and comes to investigate.
This is a miserable achievement and people shouldn't have to suffer through attempting this. It needs to be changed before it's been left in too long to fix.
Edit: It also needs to be said, because of what was said in the devstream "It becomes an issue to change it once it's already out because some people have already progressed or achieved it." As someone who HAS done it, the attitude that it can't be changed because I suffered through it is moronic, it's utterly against playing the game well and encouraging people to try to do this is actively bad for anyone stuck in their games. Better we show just how bad it is and improve it for future achievement hunters, than force those future players through an unenjoyable, unrealistic grind.
-
Yeah the achievement is pretty ridiculous and extremely luck based. Got not much to do with skill or his actual power.
-
I mean I do get why people are upset, I think it is pretty ######### too but the DLC Steam page clearly states that only Frank and Julie are playable characters. And you can purchase a Joe and Susie skin using Iridescent Shards (though as always the cost is ridiculously over the top).
My biggest point of criticism would be that Frank and Julie just don't look different enough. It's more like 3 different people than 4, and the 2 only distinct once have to be purchased. It does suck to a degreee. -
@anarchy753 said:
If that is INTENDED, that is absolutely ridiculous. Killer instincts reveals survivors who are NOT affected by deep wounds, there is no relation between having killer instincts active and being able to find a deep wounded survivor. If you're going to try to hit a newly wounded survivor then chain back to someone you already had worked on, they're likely to have put as much distance between you as possible, and started to mend which is already a quick action.I don't know why it was put in like this, killer power achievements have always been about using the power to hit or down people, not activate 4 stupidly complex mechanics then eventually down people. Doing this 25 times will literally take hundreds upon hundreds of matches. This really NEEDS to be fixed to match the description of the achievement, because someone royally screwed how it was put in initially.
To be honest, I have little hope their are going to do something about it any time soon. They didn't do anything about that royally screwed up Halloween Event problem around the cankers and offerings and for a long time they didn't do anything about the Huntresses ridiculous achievement target of downing 100 survivors from more than 24 meters away (though I just saw they reduced it to 20).
They are on a balance act of trying to add skill based achievements without making them too easy but they never get it right. The Spirit is extremely powerful and her 'down 30 survivors after coming out of haunting' is very easy. The Legion is only a low-mid tier killer and having to down a deep-wound-survivor while the instinct is active goes entirely against the purpose of his power. It is completely luck based on every possible level.

I don't think shards are the answer. That is a business issue there. If they award more shards, they have to raise prices in order to equal out the ratio of shards vs auric being spent. Basic rule of economics.
Perhaps devotion allows you to reset the blood web one time per 1-50 per devotion level in order to get different perks on it. Example: I am choosing between Dark Whispers and Enduring at lvl 43 and for whatever reason, I don't want either. I have 1 level of devotion, so I reset that choice and get two different perks on that lvl. I can't do it again on that character until I prestige him. I can do this once each character for each devotion level.
Or, give a 10% discount on certain choices in the blood web for each level of devotion. Maybe it is only for offerings, or addons, or perks.
Anything like that would have a feeling of reward.
The discount thing could work but the other one not because of people like me who have almost all perks on all survivors, it just wouldn't be fair. Discounts on the bloodweb are cool but also not really that beneficial to people who already got everyone levelled.
Increasing the amount of shards earned per devotion or awarding a small amount of auric cells upon devoting would make a lot more sense. The numbers wouldn't have to be huge to feel rewarding or bringing anything out of balance. Afterall, shards can be used to purchase perks/bloodpoints and DLC characters in the shrine too and who says there aren't going to be more things shards can be used for in the future? -

Delfador said:As long as you get merciless victory, it should count. Didn't it?
You can only use his 3 perks as well, if it didn't count, this might be the problem.
I used all 3 of their perks. It didnt count, I had a mori too so i dont know if this affected it
Yes, it doesn't work with Mori. You have to sacrifice them through the hook. But a DC still counts as that even if you never hooked them before.
-
It does. I had 1 DC but still sacrificed the other 3 survivors and got my Adept Legion achievement.
-
Having to down someone thanks to Killer Instinct getting triggered is almost impossible. Survivors naturally scatter as soon as he comes and it's no matter how many attempts I had, it was impossible to catch the target before running out of the frenzy. The factor of having to do it while killer Instinct is triggered should be taken out, just like it suggests in the actual achievement description.
For how weak the killer is the achievement is ridiculously difficult, even if it's only 25 times.
