Discussions about the Entity's realm
  • She has gone through so much BS in Silent Hill. Now she has to go through the Entity's BS? Are you kidding me?? Like, why we hell the town would give her to the Entity? Your theories. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxJ28psqNKw

  • The Entity gets angry at the killers if they don't hook enough survivors. Maybe because its hungry? I think about this a lot. We know that it grows stronger in power if a lot of survivors get sacrificed, but does it weaken if no survivors are sacrificed? Then maybe it would die after a while right?

  • If you ever watched the Starz original Ash vs Evil Dead then you know that Ash has hit on an large amount of women in the 3 seasons. So that begs the question: Has Ash hit on women in the fog? I'd like to hear your thoughts about this question and whether or not he might be..... Successful. Also I wanted to ask this in the Dev stream they were hosting but it closed before I could.

  • which survivor in lore is your "favorite" as a person? who seems like a great person? who has the best backstory? who is someone you'd really like to meet and talk to and why? and who do you dislike the most regarding to their personality/lore?

  • Just unlocked Arcus 8875: "Perhaps this is the reason The Entity wipes the slate clean with every resurrection. The unwavering belief that death is real gives weight and gravitas to the trial....to the experience. Otherwise survivors won't care. Wouldn't run. Wouldn't feel." Am I reading this right? Every time a survivor dies in a trial, they wake up wi

  • Hear me out on this. Most characters speak English, right? Some of the exceptions are Yui, Feng, and Nea. However, Nea moved to America so English is a must for her because, let’s face it, not a lot of Americans know Swedish off the top of our heads. Yui might be the second loneliest, but she does have someone who speaks Japanese: Adam. He learned to get around the language block to teach more

  • So we know that the Entity abducts / recruits the most evil killers / those with the most potential. We already have the huntress from the WW era, but she hardly had anything to do with the war itself. I think there's a wasted potential here. BHVR tries to avoid controversy, as it is clearly seen with the Plague having an imaginary religion. WW2 is a very sensitive subject, so I reckon they could

  • I really like reading the flavor text for perks and items and what not (my favorite is "You call these tools? ...Really?") and for some items they bring up unique character items. Like Donna's Sketchbook (The fog is alluring. I love it and hate it at the same time) or The Lost Tapes. And honestly every time I read them, I think, "Are the lost tapes actually from the Fog?" All the quotes are very

  • So from what I heard a while back on one of the dev streams the mori is something that the entity gives to the killer like a gift of sorts, so why can pyramid head straight up execute a survivor without needing the mori ? Wouldn't he need the entitys permission to do so? I'm not sure if there's a definitive lore explanation to this yet or not, just something that popped in my head.

  • This has probably been speculated a thousand times, as I used to think about this but never discussed it. However with the new release of Pyramid Head, I pondered a bit. So to cut to the chase, Pyramidboi can get flashed. Even though you know, his face is covered.. I think this is because you are in actuality playing as the entity, looking through the "eyes" of the killer. This is confirmed with

  • If the entity has been taking people for a long time and time doesn’t really pass. If i’m not mistaken the entity takes survivors who feel great emotions? So doesn’t that mean that there would be loads of Black and Gay people there as they’ve been oppressed through history aswell as jewish people due to the holocaust. I’m not speaking from a game perspective i’m speaking from a lore perspective.

  • Until now I did only the tutorial on the mobile version, but something caught my attention instantly. It is explained that the heartbeat survivors hear is their own, represented also by the glowing heart. But in Benedict Baker's journal he says: " Maybe it is the will to survive that makes me even more alert to sounds. Sight is limited in this darkened part of the world. I n this case their H

  • Made this discussion as a somewhat poll, I made this for people who would like to see as much as I do a Siren Head addition to the game, I don't think any other killer would freak me out as much as Siren Head. Anyways let me know your opinions on this :)

  • Here's a weird thought I had, what would happen if you activated an EMP near The Doctor? I don't know exactly how EMPs work but don't they fry electronics? Would The Doctor loose his power? Or would he just become a hunk of flesh?

  • I was wondering ; we have a lot of killers coming straight from differents periods Plague : Antiquity Oni: Medieval times DeathSlinger : ~1850 Huntress : ~1914 Demogorgon: 80's Doctor Spirit Wraith Hillbilly : Modern Days i guess But we dont have such diversity from survivors, i mean the oldest one is Laurie Strode if im right , from the end of 70's. Why ? Because an ancient person can

  • Heyo, so I noticed that 4 stabs are present on the legion mori so I have a small theory: Each stab represents a legion member. First swing is a miss, reference to sussie that didn't want to kill the janitor. I suspect the second stab is Julie's because I don't think that Joe would be pushed out that easily, since the third stab fits him more. Last stab is Frank since he either way was the one w

  • So we all know the lovable demogorgon, with his unique powers and being probably the second most fun killer to play as and against (first being GF). I was thinking, "Why doesn't the upside down look the same in DBD? And how does the Demo manage to travel so fast in the upside down?" After a bit of time thinking on it I've come up with a way it could possibly be (or part of) an escape route from t

  • So, I don't know for sure if this is how it was meant to be portrayed, but it seems as if cosmetics are tied into lore as either transformations via the fog or memories spat out by the Entity (during its growth?), and so with this, it makes me wonder if the new cosmetics pertaining to Kazan and Rin could be interpreted as being something entirely possible, like Kazan actually turning into an Oni

  • In the Demogorgon's newest outfit, being the "Twisted Demogorgon", it has the description "The creature was altered by the dark Fog as it hunted and fed, becoming part Demogorgon, part something else..." Is this the Entity reforming the Demogorgon to be better suited to the Fog? Maybe the darker colors are to blend in, like a zebra in tall grass? Maybe making it a more efficient hunter? The head

  • I just finished reading the Dwight archive + saw the movie, and they were cool. But I'm still really curious on what Dwight's actual background is other than "unlucky and didn't stand out in school". He's the only one of the original four Survivors that we have no concrete info on - no family, home, relationships, or even what job he had prior to getting dumped in the woods. I understand if Dwig

  • What if they made a killer (or even survivor!) from killers’ lore? Example: Huntress likes to kidnap girls to take them in as her own. What if she actually trained twins like her mom did to her and one of the girls went crazy - becoming another killer and the other escaped and became a survivor herself? That would be pretty cool.

  • This is one of the stories that I was most anxiously waiting for (my joy was even greater when I realized that you can easily unlock it in tome 1) Too disappointing, they hardly tell us anything new about Kate's life. everything takes place in one place and in one moment. (kate walks through the forest for inspiration, she can't get the sinister melody out and in the end she explores the cave,

  • Maybe the survivor that we are playing , is just having a nightmare, the reason that makes me think about it is. It always night, when we are asleep. Also the game have a entire scenario of a dream. 1- the map size: usually in our dreams our mind can't "create" a huge area to the dream, and the maps don't have a huge area and the other side of the exit gates don't have even a paper scenario. 2-

  • My apologies as I couldn't find a pic online for this: On Xbox, when playing The Nurse and waiting in the lobby, I've always noted around her left shoulder there is a bloody hole, in the same place survivors are hooked. Granted, it's not at the front, but that wound is very defined and thus far not explained from what I could find. Alongside her obvious torture, "Silent Hill" inspiration, and t

  • This is a story revolving around the spirit killer, made into existence because I wanted it to exist. This builds off of the Tome II story so spoilers if you haven't finished it yet! A Spirit Unbound - Dead by Daylight Fanstory By Stevian Heartbound It happened again. Nothing seems to please it. I killed them too fast. I didn't kill enough of them. I didn't make it enough of a spectacle.

  • I assume devouring universes gets old after a while. So he thought, "hey, why not steal the time stone, kidnap some randoms, put on funny masks, and play an evil hide-and-seek forever?". And when the survivors don't want to play anymore, he turns them into Mindless Ones — a win-win solution! After all, the entity's realm is timeless, and do you know what else is timeless? Exactly! E = mcu ∎

  • So Huntress is singing all the time a song (Bayu Bayushki Bayu) that warns about the danger of a predator that would drag innocents to a dark place. In the original lullaby is a wolf that drags kids into the forest, but the similarities are obvious. Wolf is the entity, kids are the survivors and the forest is the void where some got thrown by the entity. Is she warning survivors about the entit

A lovely war: honestly I love it very little is actually known about Anna thought processes. However I do find an incredibly interesting she seems to view humans almost specifically the Soldiers as animals ( yes I know humans are animals but I mean in t

  • in case you didn’t know, the lullaby the Huntress sings is an actual Russian lullaby. The story of the lullaby is to stay in bed or the big grey wolf will drag you to the forests deep. So this confirms that Anna grew up in a Russian family. And might’ve migrated to Germany, or she was in a part of Russia close to Germany, because her new story includes the German infantry.

  • I was wondering how it continued? I read some of his entries but I am really curious what else he wrote in his journal, if anything at all. Is his soul already consumed by The Entity because he died way too many times? Or he's alive and well, and keeps on escaping every trial? Did he make any survivor friends in The Entity's realm? We do know that he is still a survivor and is still alive l

  • This is just something I thought about after Predator: Hunting Grounds came out, following the trend of really popular horror licenses getting their own multiplayer games that star them as a hunter hunting other players... It got me thinking.. What if Dead By Daylight is Freddy's story? (albeit, it's probably not but it's still fun to think about so hear me out). Freddy's one weakness in the mov

  • What even is her name? I've heard that her name is written the Chinese way, which would mean her first name is actually Min, but at the same time her bunny outfit's banner used Feng as her first name. And is Feng pronounced "Fung" or "Feng?" I'm pretty sure the actual pronunciation is "Fung" but everyone in this community says "Feng." So I'm asking for clarity so I can stop getting her name wrong

He rushed to her aid, knife in hand, and without hesitating, planted the blade into the cleaner's back. As the group stared at Frank in shock, he ordered them to finish the job. • Overview: I felt like looking into the backstory and lore on one of my favorite characters and my personal favorite survivor, Ace Visconti. I definitely believe that despite the small amount of backstory we were given, there is much more to Ace than we originally thought. • Id love to see Legion get a retcon. Joey, Julie and Susie are just figments of the diseased mind of Frank, and he sometimes dresses up as one or the other to ease his psychosis. How does the Entity keep Michael Myers and Freddy Krueger in check? Krueger in the Dream World, could debatably be more powerful than the Entity itself, and I doubt any amount of torture could keep Michael Myers from kil

So I'm gonna break down which killers would do well in 2v8, lore-wise. Trapper: Fine. Might not like Wraith for being a proletariat immigrant. Wraith: very good!
