  • no one wants to see this, no one cares.

yes i care enough to respond because im sick and tired of seeing this garbage.

good riddance, even though you'll be back soon enough.

  • I think we need a Dr. Satan killer in a House of 1000 Corpses chapter.

I like ghost face too, but he kinda feels limited. NOED and MYC can give you exposed for free for 50%+ of the match.

NOED does not expose survivors for nearly 50% of the trial, it doesn't even expose for a quarter of the trial. it only happens at the end of the game and when survivors see you have NOED, they want to get out as soon as possible.

Nope, no pallets, windows or ledges for balanced landing... just a wide open map. That would be the killer equivalent of how Haddondield is for survivors. And I play both sides

Yeah I play both sides as well, and even on the survivor side it's annoying. It's almost always the same and it gets old as survivor.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the Demogorgon has a base ability that let it wall hack blood while in the Upside down world.

Maybe it'll work like Wraith where he's invisible, having a time amount it takes to cloak/uncloak; but you get the filter like the upside-down and the Demogorgon has no walls or barriers in the upside-down.

I feel like that might be broken though

  • I also believe it will be really good for the popularity of the game. Stranger Things is THE big thing right now, it will catch the eyes of more people.

I am still really anxious for a new original killer and survivor though. Hopefully soon, but I understand it takes a lot of time!

I don't know what would be worse to type on, a cell-phone or a controller

Both sound like an incredibly annoying experience though

Typing on my phone isn't too bad. It's more irritating to navigate the forums on it. I wish there was an app.

  • I have never seen anything other than a Bubba splinter.

  • I think it would be cool to have the game randomly choose your objective, if they come up with a new one.

Much like you don't typically know what map you'll be at without an offering, you wouldn't know if you need to repair gens or do a different objective without an offering.

There is a bloodpoint punishment in play right now for camping killers. It came out this spring and is still in place.

Also, the original post up top said you "hello" your teammates whenever you're on the hook? Does that mean you fake attempt and thus -- flail your arms? Because that is actually the universal signal in this game that the killer is camping so stay away. Maybe that's why you're not being rescued.

I'm on Xbox and it seems to be the universal signal for "killer is gone come get me".

  • @HatCreature said:

I'll get the ball rolling since no one seems to like to brainstorm. Whether you are good as him or not is not the issue, you can be good as the OG Freddy but he needed a rework. Just as you can be good as Ghostface but still have little opportunity to use your ability because of bad map design.

So instead of Spotting to break Ghostface out of his ability what if his Nightshroud was on a Timer?

Reduce Ghostface's TR to 24 and then make his Nightshroud last for 1:30, it is longer than Mikey's BUT he can still only Mark 1 Survivor at a time and he can be broken out with stuns and he still loses it whenever he swings his weapon. I know his NS is powerful at loops so what if when he finally Marks a Survivor his NS is reduced to 30 seconds and then it goes away and charges back up?

This means he has to walk up close to a Gen and then activate NS, this takes time but not too much time and it still only takes I think 30 seconds to charge back up. He can use his ability just as often as he always does but he now has a set timer for the NS. The downside is that you may activate it too soon and not Mark someone in time or anyone at all but your reduced TR to 24 means you can get closer, M&A makes it a 16m TR giving you more breathing room.

Now this is not a legit idea, I know it is bad and makes Ghostface less viable but it is to get the ball rolling on better ideas. You don't need to say this idea is ######### since it is not a serious idea since it could make him worse and I know that, it is something to get the juices flowing for better ideas :)

I really like the timer idea. I think if timing it right when activating NS is part of his ability, you're forced to pay more attention to the game and strategize. It's a learning process and people will get mad but the majority will learn.

If not a change in his ability, than making it so he can't be revealed through walls would be a great improvement.

  • It's not Behaviour that makes the game unplayable. When something as anticipated and huge as the rework of the worst killer in the game releases, the floodgates are gonna burst. The hardcore players, new players, old players, players with garbage internet, players that haven't touched the game in months; they're all going to come check out all the shiny new toys. The servers get bombarded, wait times clog up and rise and rise. If you want to get mad at them for making something so interesting, I guess you can. It would be sort of pointless though.

    Here's my take

Lore: a young boy who was born with deformations and mental problems due to being beaten while in the womb, the only thing jason loved was his mother, and as she was murdered before his very eyes, a rage built up inside that can only be satisfied in blood. Now a fully grown adult, his mother's voice repeating in his head "kill for mother jason, KILL THEM!" as he stalks the teenagers that roam his land, his twisted brain making him believe they are the ones who killed his beloved mother

Weapon: Machete. The weapon mother used, jason idolizes her and wishes he could as good at killing as she was

    Power: Territorial rage

Jason voorhees despises trespassers on his and mother's land; the more he observes the habits of the teenagers, the more his rage builds until it can be satisfied only with blood. Upon stalking a survivor, he will enter rage mode. Nothing will stop him from satisfying his desire to kill; flashlights and firecrackers will not blind jason; pallets will not stun jason and will break upon being throwing down while in rage. Rage will be active for 30 seconds and jason will only be able to enter rage upon observing different survivors (similar to the limited evil within from michael myers)

    Perk 1: Hunter's instinct

Hiding from a psychotic killer is never a good idea; upon entering a locker, the survivor's aura will be visible to the killer for 3,4,5 seconds

    Perk 2: Rule of 3

As with all slashers, there's a cliche when it comes to 3. Every 3rd blind or pallet stun will be ineffective against the killer, additionally every 3rd missed attack will have a a 15,20,25% cooldown

    Perk 3: It's quiet...too quiet

Upon completion of 3 generators, the terror radius of the killer will be reduced to zero until the exit gates are powered; upon the exit gates being powered, the terror radius is increased by 50%

    "Kill, kill, kill...mom, mom, mom"

    Add-ons

    Rage building add-ons

Mother's severed head: jason's beloved mother's head, tremendously increases rate at which rage is gained

Mother's sweater: Pamela Voorhees dusty, bloodstained sweater, used by ginny to trick jason into believing she was his mother. Moderately increases rate at which rage is gained

    Rage duration add-ons

Used condom: Premarital sex is something jason despises, after all, that's what got him killed as a boy. increases rage duration by 5 seconds

Joint roach: A classic slasher movie mistake, smoking pot wiith a killer on the loose. Increases rage duration by 3 seconds

Empty beer can: Partying is prohibited at crystal lake, and jason will make sure alcohol-filled blood is spilled. Increases rage duration by 2.5 seconds

    Killing add-ons

Rusty machete: the blood and rust of many teens fuels jason to kill all on his land. Upon activation of rage, enables the ability to kill healthy, injured or downed survivors. Considerably increases rage required to activate

Aged hockey mask. The haunting mask seen from afar is the last thing some teens see before their demise. Upon activation of rage, enables the ability to kill healthy, injured or downed survivors. Considerably increases rage required to activate

    Surprise scare add-ons

Crystal lake sign: An old wooden sign that once stood at crystal lake. Upon entering rage, terror radius is reduced to zero

Candle. A candle used to light mother's shrine.

upon entering rage, removes red stain

    Effect add-ons

Ice-pick. The weapon jason used to skayer the life of ginny, who killed his mother. Survivors hit with jason't machete will siffer from the exhausted effect for 30 seconds

Pick-axe. Jason't first weapon used to kill the teens at the packanack lodge. Survivors hit with jasons machete will suffer from the blindness effect for 30 seconds

Spear. Jason's first weapon as a deadite. Survivors hit with jasons machete suffer from the laceration effect, increased brightness of blood

Axe. Jason's secondary weapon of choice. Survivors hit with jasin's machete will have louder grunts of pain when injured

The survivor that goes with jason should obviously be tommy jarvis

Jason's default skin should be his part 3 and 4 look. Additional skins could be his part 2 look, deadite jason should be part 7, and über jason should also be a skin

Prestieging: Blood-stained mask at P1, Blood-stained work shirt and Jeans at P2 and a blood-stained machete at P3

Let me know what you guys think!

Reply with any suggestions or your take on jason's power, lore, etc.

This is phenomenal and now I actively want Jason to be in DbD. Until I read this I was like meh I guess it would be cool, but now I believe.

You were most likely one of those who screamed Freddy was ok when he was released aswell.

In my experience, Freddy isn't that bad in the right hands. I am excited for the rework, don't get me wrong, but I don't believe he was nearly as bad as people think. However, he is kinda boring when you compare his abilities to all the other killers.

  • @SaveUsY2K said:

    So don't use it.

    Boom. I fixed the problem.

No, you just put it on the back burner. There shouldn't be utterly useless perks simply because the game plays different now with EGC.

  • I play killer and the only two perks i rely on is franklins and whispers cause i cant find anyone.

I get the same stuff with NOED, it's not really a big deal just don't even respond and play how you want to play.

Ghostface was never a supernatural force though. He never teleported in any of the movies and it wouldn’t fit his character either. Similar to Myers it is like a “where did he go” type of scenario but he never physically teleported to an area, he was just sneaky.

At least with Freddy you are in HIS world and he is in control of what he can do in his own world. It makes sense that his body phases in and out of view and that he can teleport to generators despite not being supernatural. Ghostface is just a regular dude under a mask. I get why you’d suggest locker teleporting but it’s not really cannon to his character.

    @JAWS_BDSM

There were always two of them, however, so I could see how that might work out in some shape or form. It would be really cool to pay homage to the movies in a way that wouldn't breach the license.

    Haddonfield is an instant DC

Instant DC is an instant report.

  • Not only that but if you actually played survivor, and not just in the sub-13 ranks, it isn't easy or boring. It's quite exciting to be chased around a map by a killer that knows the game and being forced to work with random teammates to win. Both sides are stupid fun.

I think its extremely complicated due to multiple reasons. Combined with the unfortunate death of Wes Craven and the uncertainty of the Harvey Weinstein position with Scream: The TV Series Season 3, I dont see any clarity in this. I think the most you could hope for is a lesser character from the TV series.

(Personally I wouldnt mind Brooke from the first 2 seasons. If movies were an option but Sidney was out then I'd like Kirby)

If they get the okay for movies, I really hope we get Randy. Love Sid and it would be super cool but Randy is the unsung hero of the first movie.

  • I'd love to see the Grudge! I also think it would be cool to have Sauron or the Witch King of Angmar from Lord of the Rings. Unlikely but it would be incredible.

Just make a stealthy Hatch build. Do what you can with repairs and rescued, but don't be too altruistic... and scoop out the hatch in time.

This is what I try to do, it sometimes works but sometimes teammates are still so unaware that it ruins the game for everyone.

  • @BunnyTheHutt said:

Bud, Ghostface is not the only one who does it, all killers tunnel because its the right thing too do, and you'll always get campers.

Tunneling is not the right thing to do, and not all killers tunnel. It's a cheap strategy that doesn't even usually end with a 4k.

Oh, I almost forgot this one.

If a Killer stand still for a certain amount of time... If they start moving again, there's this specific audio soundclip that plays called the "stinger" if I remember correctly.

I would love to hear it, do you know about any clips of the stinger?

I like playing against nurse, but not playing her. I suck at aiming with my PS4 controller (that's why I never use flashlights either xD)

I'm on Xbox and I understand so well. I try to play Nurse anyway, so I avoid repeating everything and so I can try and get gud with each killer. Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it goes horribly.

On the note of playing against Nurse, I enjoy it every once in a while. Green ranks on Xbox tend to not play as her, so when I get a Nurse it's an intensely fun game (usually).

green ranks and yellow ranks seem to be more toxic than purples and reds in my experience for some reason.

As someone who has been kind of stuck in green ranks for the past two seasons, I can confirm that green is the most toxic ranking. Purples and reds I have gotten matched with have been respectful while their yellow-possibly-rookie swf teammates t bag after pallet drops and such. Greens just consistently want to make you mad and ruin the game for killers.

There’s already a perk that does this “This Is Not Happening” and it’s one of the worst perks in the game.

I was actually thinking "Stakeout". Spend time in the radius without chase, goods become great, all hits during ruin are good.

I get beyond tilted against sabo strats because I think it's a complete BS mechanic. The only thing that will cause me to insta-D/C in a game is a sabo squad.

There is no reason to ever insta-D/C. You lose bloodpoints, you screw over the players in the lobby. Finish the game.

Yeah they could create some alternative things to survive. More spots to hide, etc. Like I said, maybe lower the killers movement speed. When you hear the heartbeat, you won’t have time to just keep working on gens until the killers real close. You’ll have to actively be on the lookout and prepared.

I want this so so bad. My friends and I are always hoping for a first person survivor mode!

  • Seriously.

I never have this problem because I play sneaky enough to hardly ever be revealed. I constantly get 4k as GF and that's not a brag just facts. GF is great the way he is and taking away the ability to reveal him will ruin games involving GF for survivors.

  • Randy from Scream!

To be honest, I haven't seen very many people abusing the bugs at all.

I've seen zero Legions abuse it (although I've only seen two Legions) and only two survivors use Wake Up on my end.

No Wake Up here, but Legions have been a plenty as of late, unlike before the update and I think it might be to take advantage of these bugs.

I'm terrified this rework is going to be a killer that's worse than even Plague.

At least with Freddy, once you learn his mechanics, you can do very well due to his high skill ceiling.

I have no idea why everyone thinks Plague is so bad. If you have a proper balance between Vile Purge and M1 and, then use Corrupt Purge without going way out of your way for it (when there are only a couple generators left), Plague is actually a pretty decent killer. I have had nothing but fun experiences playing as or against the Plague.

Myers also puts everyone in the Exposed state when he’s stalking, GF only puts one person in at a time. You also can’t break Myers out of stalking you, you can only run and hide. They both stalk but they are different and need to be treated differently.

That said, I 100% disagree that the time people are marked needs a nerf. I have been playing him with no add ons/brown add ons and the mark doesn’t last that long. Add ons are what make it last long and if he’s using add ons he deserves the buff, that’s how it works.

Most logical argument I have seen about Ghostface since PTB

  • Alright i love ghostface but i dead asssss just stare at him and nothing happins. So maybe fix it or make it like 1 sec instesd of 1.5

I have played against him countless times now and I have had a pretty easy time getting reveals. Maybe it's just the players behind the killer, but it hasn't been nerf-difficult

  • Michael Myers is my favorite for several reasons:

    1) Halloween (original and 2018) are my favorite movies.

    2) In my opinion and experience, he is the most terrifying/menacing killer due to his stealth.

    3) Evil Within is ridiculously fun to wreak havoc with.

  • My favorites are Haddonfield, Auto Haven Wreckers, and I have really grown to enjoy Coldwind Farm.

Hands down my least favorite is Lery's though. Can't say I love the Swamp but I'm hating it less as time goes on.
