You mean one of the best Nurse players went on a streak using some of Nurse's best Perks and Add-Ons in pubs, against Survivors that don't even know how to look behind them? No wonder he thinks she's good
300 plus wins consecutively tho? What’s your win streak?

Probably because it's hilarious that BHVR LISTENED to the concern of AA and SS on nurse being to strong. So they nerfed it. And now the narrative is "see !!! We can't have strong perks because of nurse !!!!"
It's just another way to complain about a pretty balance killer.
hahaha I’ve never been one for satire.

Can we all stop labeling this as a solo que issue and just say fix matchmaking. I'm concerned that constantly saying solo needs the fix will confuse the devs into more band-aid fixes and survivor buffs that only further the gap swf has.
Match making is only one part of the many issues plaguing solo Q, they loosened the MMR to compensate for the survivor imbalance. But there were a multitude pre existing issues. Not to mention the advantage swf have with comms

My teamates: Self care in the corner. Can't stay up in chase. Can't safely unhook. No matter if they can see where the killer is going or not. Can't coordinate a single save. Despite being able to see each other.

Teamates: Give the killer a 4k. Instead of just popping a gen together and escaping at the minimum
Yeap....They can totally do something about survivor skill
Yes they can, if the MMR was working at all you should never be placed with with them in the first place, I really believe they relaxed the MMR due to low survivor population.

I'm not sure what should be the conclusion from this, but I do know for damn sure I'm getting myself Reassurance the moment new patch rolls out, althought some type of weaker version of it would be nice as a basekit or as a general free for all perk, hiding the "solve the camping" solution behind a 500 auric cells character is kinda... Kinda bhvr-like tbh
It should be free not a dlc perk

I know you're only facing unkind killers right now, or some even quite sh*tty, and no doubt some potato teammates as well.
But there is still mercy in this game. This afternoon only, I had two nurses give me hatch / door after a teammate DC'd on first down. I've had a couple of killers going out of their way not to tunnel. Some killers still give hatch, some killers still look the other way when you go for an unhook to make the game a bit longer and give more people second chances. It's just hard to see as a survivor because of the pressure.
There are also still very wholesome postgame chats.

People can beat Nurse. She needs a tweak, sure - but that doesn't mean you get to trash the game.
I see people DC constantly against me, especially when I play Hag or Trickster.
The issue is that DCing and suiciding have basically no penalty, and completely krangles the game for the other 4 players.
There are certain functions, strategies, killers or even maps that as a community we all hate. People used to always DC at iri head huntress, that got changed…
I personally would only dc if I’m trolled by another survivor. My last DC was a few days ago against a basement hag. I’ve played enough to know that only pain can exist in basement hag match, win or lose. I’m not always in a cheerful mood and that affects what I’m willing to endure in game over and over.
two other survivors DC’d as they were being brought down to the basement too. That’s just one quick example.
maybe your the problem, maybe the killers you use or the play style you adopt are unbearable to survivors.

So my standard, get-out-of-the-match-safe build includes Unbreakable to avoid slugging, but I was playing as Jonah and decided to swap out Unbreakable for Boon: Exponential to see how it worked.
The following 3 downs over the course of 2 games I was able to get myself up utilizing it. Imagine my surprise.
So lets discuss Boon: Exponential.
So obviously the safest bet is to bring Unbreakable, and if you are interested in getting others up from dying, We Are Gonna Live Forever, but with Boon: Exponential, you can viably utilize both perks in a single slot, with the stipulation being you are effected by the totem's aura. But Boon: Exponential is kind of useless if it's doing nothing other than providing the ability to get up, so you are left with a choice. Will you bring just it, or will you eat another perk slot to strengthen your boon totem? If you utilize just Exponential, you may be SOL come time to get yourself up, but if you bring Unbreakable you won't be able to help another. If you bring Circle of Healing, you can counter Thana, but others will undoubtedly probably bring a CoH also. You could also bring something like Boon: Dark Theory, which a general increase to speed is always welcome regardless of circumstance.
The real power though is in the name, Boon: Exponential. This Boon shines brighter than the sun when against something like The Oni, who is just slugging players during his power. If all the players manage to go down within the boon totems area of influence, you have pretty much negated the Killer's power all together.
This being said, I would say a boon totem with Exponential and Dark Theory, placed directly near the middle of the map would allow potential slugs to be negated, as well as lending some value to chases by cutting down how much the Killer gains on who he's chasing.
Also, being that Boon: Circle of Healing is so prevalent, placing a "Dummy" boon totem, that the killer wastes time hunting down and snuffing, isn't the worst idea. It isn't a great one, but it isn't the worst.
Did your cat pretending to be a human type this?
on a serious note I ply mostly as survivor now a days. If I play 7hrs throughout the day, I only get properly slugged maybe twice. Not enough time to warrant the perk slot.

Okay, woof.
- If a Nurse is literally downing you instantly, you're either against a Starstruck or Haunted Nurse (which has counterplay), or that person is hacking.
- Why are you cleansing Plaything against a Nurse?
- People beat Nurse all the time, even running strong builds and the best addons. Go watch some of Otz and Ayrun's HCS videos recently. What you're doing by sulkily suiciding whenever you encounter a tough game is denying all four other players a game, and I hope that BHVR starts flagging accounts that do this too much.
I went against a nurse the other day with lethal, I picked up my controller not 5 seconds after the match started, I was then jump scared by this nurse and injured. Managed to break line of sight for a few seconds after being hit.
only thing is if the nurse has a great understanding of jungle gyms even without hearing you they’ll be able to make a pretty good informed guess of where to blink.
And just like that I was down in the first 30 seconds. I thought of how better I could’ve played that, and I couldn’t think of anything.
instead of flagging players for being frustrated, fix the issue. Which is nurse.
Oni is a good example, he’s very strong and easier to play as nurse, but I never see anyone dcing or rage quitting when they get 1 shot downed.

"Why is his pick-rate so damn high when he is so weak and basically no one enjoys going against him?"
Because they're fun to play as, they have the best chase music in the game and it can even be changed with add-ons. On the topic of add-ons, they're varied and many can be used in ways to create fun and interesting builds. Do you like sneaking up on Survivors? Try using Etched Ruler with either Stylish Sunglasses or Stab Wounds Study. Do you hate pallets? Bring Iridescent Button with Julie's Mix Tape. Want to break and vault stuff really quickly? Bring Frank's Mix Tape along with various action speed perks to help you damage, break and vault quickly.
The Legion has a very creative ability, that is not only insanely fun to play with, but their add-ons can be used well in combination together to offer unique and enjoyable playstyles. They're a highly flexible Killer.
Also their outfits are almost all bangers.
How can you defend this, legion is trash to go against full stop even more so now that he’s in 3 out of 5 games from my experience

Hey guys! I am Killer main! I played survivor a lot cause Qtimes suck for killer. Killers started to camp and tunnel for more since this update then before.
The solution:
Team Hook Stages
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/I8EL6F1OJ39X/grafik.png
As you can see in the graphic above the survivor team has 10 hooks as a resource.
The first 6 hooks highlighted in GREEN are team hooks and are shared between all teammates. This change makes it so that a survivor is only killed after 6 hooks making any survivor untunnelbal and beeing able to sit on a camped hook for 6 hook stages if the killer wants to camp this survivor.
The RED hooks are instant kill hooks, every survivor hooked here is sacrifised instantly and it doesnt matter if this survivor was hooked 4 times before or its his first hook of the game. A survivor team has to manage its resources.
AS you can see the advantage of not losing a survivor after 3 hookstages (camping/tunneling) comes with the price that the survivor have now 2 hookstages less. Potentialy if you (the devs) want you can have 12 Hookstages but doing 6-7 gens instead, but I think everyone would rather have less hookstages then more gens to do.
NEW MECHANICs:
FAIR SLUG PROTECTION
If a person is slugged on the ground everything is normal just as now BUT if the killer downs a second person the slugged survivor gets the opportunity to fill a new recovery meter that is half the size of the original recovery meter that gives him the ability to return from the dying state. This gives the slugged person the chance to recover if the killer slugs them for real (which is why it only activates if an other survivor is slugged) but you need to fill 1,5 bars of normal recovery bar for this which is also a protection for the killer who slugs only a little
TEAM HOOK
If all survivors are hooked at the same time the oldest survivor hooked gets a free unhook and with this a chance for the comeback, BUT only aslong the hookstages are NOT exceeded.
TEAM EYE
Every 25s all survivor auras are shown to all surivors for 5sec beginning with the match start. This gives solo survivor a grip of people around them a information that SWF have in abundance. Kindred effect on every hook (of course kindred perk needs a rework after this). I imagine this effect in a corner of the screen with a visible cooldown (25s till activation and 5s of effect and always on during hooks).
TEAM INFORMATION
All survivor perks and the current STATUS are shown to all other surivors at any time. Also something all SWFs have by default. Current STATUS means what is going on at the moment and includes: gen reparing, doing totem, blessing totem, being chased by killer, healing someone/self, searching a chest, interacting with killer property... (maybe more).
Pros:
- Not losing a survivor to a tunneling killer after 3 hooks or a camping killer on first hook
- More fun chases for the killer! With the recent buff killers should love chases more.
- Less hookstages overall could make the game more spicy
- Weakminded survivors might get a hope to stay longer ingame and not DC instantly
- early DC is not a instant LOSS anymore BECAUSE the hookstages are team shared and even with 3 guys you still have 6 shared hooks (GREEN) until the killing hooks (RED).
- Slugging would be minimized to a healthy and competative amount but is still not free.
- soloQ buff without really buffing SWF by the New mechanic changes.
- Easy balancing! Because the amount of hooks could be "killswitched" to the amount needed.
- EDIT: even if you would die on your first hook at the end, its better then playing 3v1 at 4-5 gens left. just be logical!
TO-DO:
- playing the game and seeing how it goes without DOOM POSTS!
- if killers need a buff after this one could lower the team hooks by one or even two.
- If survivors need a buff one could buff hookstages by one or even two.
- Better map balance
- removing map offerings - If you are proud in every map you made every map should have the same chance to be played. If you think that there are maps that are worse then other this is even a bigger reason to remove the ability to force them on someone.

I think there’s more legions about due to the rift rewards. After a few days I reckon we’ll see a drastic decrease in the amount of legion killers. (hopefully)
Legion was always boring at best and frustrating at worst to go against with all slow downs.
I’ve seen loads of survivors protesting against these legions by suiciding from the first feral frenzy. Tbh after facing 3 slow down legions in 5 games I’m ready to just give up too.

I think it’s less to do with DH and more to do with legion haha

Legion's strong enough. Legion versus solo queue isn't really in the spirit of a multiplayer. They mostly use Never Sleep Pills and Mural Sketch, so they can make it from one end of the map to the other with constant wall hacks. There's no stealth because they always know where you are and there's no chase because they're faster and know where you're going better than you do. They'll probably get the Frenzy down and the 20 second slowdown from Thana in addition to the slowdown from mending. There really isn't much an objective at that point, either.
There's no possibility of counterplay for the survivor and minimal skill required from the Legion player. Even with all this, Legions still stack slowdowns and perks and add-ons that hinder the survivor. There's no back-and-forth, it's just a wave slowdown, one-sided information, and debuffs that go in only one direction. It's not how multiplayer games work.
It’s not hopeless tho, there is counter play. The only thing is are survivors willing to have a 20 plus min extended play each time they face legion? Doubt it, the fact he just had a rework I think he’s going to be this way for a while tho unfortunately.
@gatsby said:
It’s crazy how many Survivors just don’t wanna try this patch. I know the role is less fun but constant hook suicides and DCs makes it worse for everyone.

@I_CAME said:
Yes and I don't blame them. Playing against Legion is the most unfun experience in this game as a survivor. It's more enjoyable to play against a sweaty nurse with 8000 hours than it is to play against a Legion running four slowdown perks.
I partially agree, I think the fact that the rift includes legion in addition to the update has made them very popular atm. I think in a few days both killers and survivors will be over it and we’ll be back to normal, which is no legion matches 🤣
-
I used to despise going against blights a few months ago, but they’re a breath of drag air now in comparison to all the legions.

Uhm wdym? If Solos switch to Killer or leave the game it will come to it. Someone has to pick the survivor role times 4 to make a match happen.
There as already and over abundance of survivors to killers, and even if they do leave in droves then maybe that’ll balance out the queue times?
You do know that if there’s an imbalance in either roles then there’ll be a blood point booster to adjust it ?

So...i will say it again - after 3k hours in this game i think i have tryed all perks. From them i figured out, which are strongest (at least for me), so i will play them. Everybody wants to do their best to climb up. Especialy in ranked games. That means to take perks, wich they think are best. Why should i play some "not so good perks" if i want to climb up? One of those perks is iron will. Ofc i can play without it, but WHY should i do that, when i know, this perks is best? (Was best...now its useless). I play it for fun. But "To have fun" in this game, is trick killer and survive as long, as possible. That means to take perks, i find best. I dont want to be worst, and switch on different (worst) builds, because that means i will probably not survive as long, as with my strongest builds, i will probably die early, wich means not having fun. Its rly simple formula. So...BHVR ruins favorite perk, wich start chain reaction. Ruined perk = ruined build = bad time = no reason to stay in game. Thats why i quit playing this game...after i spent a lot of time and money to it. Do u finaly understand it?
Fortunately dbd is no longer only game about killer and survivors and i think its time to try something new. This game is lost, and its not only because of changing IW. Its about changing produts to different things, than ones what was presented, its about toxic comunity, and other FORCING FACTS, i can not even mention, because some group can find only metioning them offensive, wich can lead to ban (yeah freedom of speech 4ever).
My friend but you cannot focus “fun” and “doing good” on any one perk or a couple of perks.
if you only use one playstyle then your disadvantaging your self as evidently if that perk gets changed or removed you are completely displaced and as such in the position that you are currently in.

I play probably 75 percent survivor. I'm not necessarily quitting, but to me it's not the changes to the survivor perks that have me leery, it's the buffs to the killers that have me asking myself if I want to keep playing much longer. Gen times, mega slow down builds, built in stbfl and brutal. People act like survivors had it easy before this patch. I played 6 survivor games (4 solo, 2 with a couple of friends). Every game but one had a tunneler/proxy camper. The one game that didn't was a slugging twins. Those kind of games aren't fun even if you win (at least for me). Now that stuff has been made stronger. Eh, I'll probably play different games more often.
Also, my grind is completely done, so that also makes playing this game less necessary.
This makes a lot of sense, if the fun factor is absent then I agree. But before you take time off, remember like any other balance update/killer release, it’s normally unusually sweaty the first couple days much less hours. Hang in there

I don't think (from all of the forum posts, twitter and reddit threads, etc.) that most survivors are dcing or giving up because of the nerfs.
They are doing so because of rampant tunneling and camping--even though this patch was supposed to curtail those problems.
I only read posts on this forum, and majority of people who are announcing their departure, are survivors complaining about perk changes, I don’t think I’ve seen a single one about tunneling, gen speed yes.

yeah, I'm out after these changes. Camping will be even more viable, gens times will make the game more boring, etc. Not to mention what all of these changes will do to solo players...
I think you should play killer games before and after the update, playing both sides makes me more empathetic to killers 90% of the time. It’s so easy to stealth and complete a couple gens at the start of the trial and before you know it your at end game and the killer only has 1 or 2 hook states.
and this happens more often than not in most of my solo queue matches.
