I don't know what is going on these past months, but something has to change. I used to be able to make a killer lobby in 2 seconds. The lobby would usually be full within a minute. Now I have to wait literally 5+ minutes just to make a lobby! Usually what happens is I quit playing after 2 games because I just don't have an interest in waiting so long before matches. FIX. YOUR. I really like the option to down vote. It was an easy way of saying "I disagree with you, but either someone has already made the same counter argument I would or I just don't have the time or interest in posting a reason why".64 comments 661 views last activity

What I'm proposing is a radical change from the current DBD experience. All I ask is that you read through the entire post before having a knee jerk reaction to any one part. This is not meant to be a replacement for ranked. Rather a different experience focused on the chase aspect. The Chase To help decrease down time on the killer's part looking for survivors, killers in this game mod2 comments 141 views last activity

Okay, this is purely anecdotal evidence, but I feel like I've observed this phenomena enough times to believe there is a basis behind it. Lobbies get stuck at 3 survivors. Time and time again I've seen this. You have 3 survivors in a lobby, I've readied up. Survivors have all readied up. And then we are all stuck in lobby wait hell. After 5 minutes, eventually some says "screw this" and lea10 comments 1,161 views last activity

I'm sick of these 20 minute lobbies. It's about time for there to be an option for players that just want to get into a game fast and don't care about rank or region or even their role. Just click Quick Play and choose your preferred role and the first 5 players get slapped into a lobby. 2 players choose prefer killer? There is a 50% chance either gets the role and the other is a survivor. Y15 comments 401 views last activity

I'm not referring to mobility in a chase. I'm talking about the killers ability to cover large distances in the map. I think it's about time to start addressing this issue. I think each killer should have some way to cross large distances quickly. It would be preferable for each killer to have a unique method. Some examples might be: Plague- melts into a puddle of vomit over 4 seconds. W6 comments 122 views last activity

I'm All Ears- Decent perk, but the cooldown at rank 3 should be 20 seconds. Thrilling Tremors- They should make it so the generator blocking effect happens when you hook survivors. Most of the time, I hook the survivor and look around the effect is already over and I've gained no useful information. I would also like the blocking effect extended to 20 seconds. Both those changes would be fa2 comments 92 views last activity

What do you all think of the idea of each playable character (killer and survivors) having one of their teachable perks having a special bonus if they use it? I'll go through each playable character and give an example. The Trapper - Agitation: Increases your movement speed while transporting bodies by 6 / 12 / 18 %. While transporting a body, your Terror Radius is increased by 123 comments 272 views last activity

There is only one situation where Remember Me would be problematic. That is when there is only one survivor and the killer closes the hatch. That would make it virtually impossible for the survivor to escape if the killer had most or all of their stacks and the last survivor isn't the obsession. But instead of completely ruining the perk, what they could have and should have done is left all t8 comments 82 views last activity

First of all, I don't hold it against survivors for efficiently working on generators. That's just smart play. But at the higher ranks, it really is an issue when the killer barely gets the first survivor on a hook and 2 gens have already popped. I'm not talking a long protracted chase sequence either. High level survivors are just crazy fast at finishing gens! So let's talk about possible s43 comments 703 views last activity

I think they really dropped the ball on a lot of the changes they made regarding balance around perks/killers and such related to the end game. The nerf to Pig was completely uncalled for. So what if it made her end game play potential stronger? A small buff to Pig wouldn't have broken the game. And let's be honest, it would have been a small buff. For those who haven't seen it yet: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/57702/the-legion-update#latest I hate the proposed changes. Like really hate it. But I don't think the situation is unsolvable. One of the biggest sticking points I have is the idea that Legion's frenzy ability goes on cool down with a single missed attack or that hitting a survivor with the deep wound effect1 comments 102 views last activity

Ash is just an April fools joke. They can't really make that video and come up with a survivor model for Ash if it is just an April fools joke right? My hope is that if it is an April fools joke that the joke is he won't be released tomorrow, but will be released in the future. If it is an April fools joke, it is a pretty epic joke though...11 comments 212 views last activity

I hate you. It is unbelievably obnoxious and pretentious. Why is it everyone else in the worlds job to "change your mind"? If you want to have a discussion then present your point of view like a normal human being. Don't be lazy. And that is really what it is... laziness. You can't be bothered to do the work of thinking about why you believe something to be true and typing it out. Instead y18 comments 202 views last activity

Players have been asking for an unranked or casual game mode for a long time. A place where players can just have fun and do silly things without worrying about rank. Obviously you can't just make a game mode and call it unranked and expect players to behave accordingly though. So I've come up with the following system to ensure that neither side can be abused too much. 1.) Players are restr18 comments 392 views last activity

You don't have to play very many games to realize just how much one side can snowball their way to victory. Anyone unfamiliar with the term, snowball means to gain one advantage that leads to another and so on until victory is assured. DBD is probably the most snowball heavy game that I've ever played. So low hanging fruit people. What change would you make that requires the least amount of investment for the largest return? Here is my choice. Add a way to exchange purchased items and add ons for add ons or items of equal rarity for characters at level 50. Add a 10% discount for each prestige level. For example, a level 50 Hillbilly could exchange chainsaw files for spark plugs for 3000 bl156 comments 4,065 views last activity

First of all, I can't claim to definitively know how maps are chosen. But I imagine that when a game starts each map is assigned a value and the game picks a random value based on the total number of maps. For instance there are 26 maps currently in the game. So the game chooses a random number between 1 and 26 and that is the map the players end up with. Which sounds fair enough. My issue i7 comments 72 views last activity

So this idea was inspired by another thread: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/44361/so-you-want-to-truly-solve-camping-slaying-dbds-oldest-monsters/p1 My solution is quite different though and deserves it's own thread. I am convinced that the issue of camping and tunneling can be addressed in a way that is fair to all players and healthy for the game. Here is what I've com48 comments 342 views last activity

First off, I do appreciate the effort put into making these events happen. The skins look cool and who doesn't enjoy fireworks? With that said, I do have a couple of complaints. 1.) Why are the bloodpoint bonuses so small for this event? Traditionally players earn around 5000 bloodpoints per event bonus if they bring an offering. Killers only get 1500 bonus bloodpoints for breaking a lant23 comments 642 views last activity

The game has been out for a while and with each new killer and survivor added, the grind increases. As of the time of this posting there are 59 survivor perks and 54 killer perks. Assuming an average of 50,000 bloodpoints per web on average (pretty close to reality), that is 8,850,000 bloodpoints for survivors and 8,100,000 bloodpoints for killers to get all perks to rank 3 per character. This has been a pet peeve of mine for a long time now. I've had numerous occasions where I am trying to escape a killer and I'm trying to pull down a pallet, but instead I start to self care or pick up or use an item. The result is obvious. I get hit. Maybe some of those hits would have been ties and I would still end up in the dying state, but I for certain should have been able to use the p7 comments 71 views last activity

Put down your torches, pitchforks, and rope! I know you saw the thread title and had a kneejerk reaction ready. All I ask is that you read the entire post before passing judgement. At the start of the match, if a survivor has decisive strike there will be 3 components randomly placed on the map that only that player can interact with. The survivor will be able to see the auras of the items. The items are a piece of scrap metal, duct tape, and a file. Once all three items are collected the survivor can spend 30 seconds combining the components. The first 15 seconds will5 comments 94 views last activity

I think it would be amazing if when you went to prestige, you could pick an equivalent amount of perks as the prestige level to keep. So if you were going to prestige one then you could pick one perk that you've unlocked that wouldn't reset. When you reach prestige two then you could pick two perks that you've unlocked that wouldn't reset. Etc. Call of Duty started doing this with one of thei8 comments 61 views last activity

I would really appreciate it if they changed the way event offerings worked in the future so they went into a killer pool and survivor pool. By that I mean if I were to purchase an event offering with one killer, I could spend it on another. The biggest problem for me on these events is that I will want to work toward a specific goal. In this case, I was trying to max out The Nightmare. The p8 comments 81 views last activity

So Hollowed Blight shows a possible route to extend games with secondary objectives for survivors. The name of the game is greed! Give the survivors something to do that takes a fair amount of time, but make it worth their while. For example, there could be a dumbwaiter on the map that requires repairs. Repairing it would require the approximate amount of time of fixing 1.5 generators. The1 comments 23 views last activity

NOW is the time to start saving up those bloodpoints guys and gals! That way, when the event starts you'll have a stockpile of bloodpoints to buy up plenty of offerings as soon as the event starts. And use those offerings folks. No excuse not to. They are about the equivalent of a Escape Cake or Survivor Pudding in terms of return. Sometimes even more. On occasion you run into situations where survivors have completed all the generators and have both exit gates open, but prefer to waste the killers time by not leaving. I think I've come up with a solution that is fair for everyone. When the following two conditions are met, a 90 second countdown timer begins that is visible to all players. 1. All generators are done. 2. No survivors are hoo11 comments 81 views last activity

So it's no real secret that getting to rank 1 in Dead by Daylight is largely pointless. There is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow so to speak. You don't "get" anything. Well, I suppose you get the satisfaction of having a #1 next to your name along with the privilege of playing against tougher opponents. But that is it. I would like it if each character had one rank 3 perk for free. This would add much needed variety. This is especially true for survivors. Besides the appearance, there is really no reason to choose one survivor over another since they all have access to the same perks. Preferably the free perk would be one that they can teach. If the player chose to actually use that perk, it could be a "sup10 comments 2,642 views last activity

I think it would be great if each map had a unique mori option for the killer near the center of the map. The way I would like to see it done is when there is only one remaining survivor, if the killer is able to catch and carry the survivor to the kill point then they can use the map mori to finish the job and maybe get some bonus bloodpoints. Very few ideas posted are widely agreed with. Generally, they tend to boost either survivors or killers and the other side obviously has to disagree. What I'm asking for is just a little bit of clarity. I would like it if there was a hash mark by the survivors names indicating how far along they are in the sacrifice category. 1 hash if you have been hooked once. 2 hashes if you have reached the e2 comments 12 views last activity

It's no secret that there is a large disparity between the killer's "BBQ and Chili" vs the survivor's "We're Gonna Live Forever". The killer should almost always get a minimum of 3 tokens, usually 4. And the killer does it by doing what they naturally do. On the other hand, it is a crap shoot getting tokens as a survivor using WGLF. There are a lot of things I would do differently if I started playing the game now. A big one would be to be much more careful with unlocking teachable perks. I have almost all the killer perks unlocked now and getting the perks I like to use regularly unlocked is a serious pain since I have so many garbage perks to filter through. So I've seen this idea floated around on DBD forums for as long as I've been playing about a killer that can disguise itself as a survivor. This is a terrible idea for a killer in the normal version of the game for numerous reasons. However, I've been brainstorming a way that this would work quite well as an alternate game mode. Please bear with the wall of text as I flesh out the concept. The12 comments 141 views last activity

Every other weekend, there should be an alternate game mode made available. Once the game mode has been released, it should be permanently available in custom games. There are virtually an infinite number of options available (and I'd love to hear everyone's ideas) but here are a few I've come up with: Specific Killer VS Specific Survivor using only their perks at rank 3.
