people should play both sides.i think “balanced perspecive” is the highest compliment you can give someone around here.
that being said, ive seen dozens, literally dozens, of survivormains come claim to be killer mains while advocating for killer nerfs, only to check their steam profile and see zero total players sacrificed.
May be my naivety, but I just can't wrap my head around this. Why on earth would someone try to cripple the "other" side? What's this with so many people wanting ezpz games?
If I want it easy, I play Plants Vs Zombies or something. No salt there for sure.there are many survivor players who exclusively play survivor and mostly in SWF, sure there is some people who exclusively play killer but that is much rarer, oftentimes these players only play the game to bully the killer, and want the game mechanics to enable that.

@yeet I literally don't understand you. You spend this entire thread complaining about how hard it is to be killer, but then you turn around and say you "win" (3K or 4K) 95% of the time. You said I'm "not very good at the game" because I only survive 50% of the time at Rank 1, but then you claim that only 5% of high ranks surviving is normal for you. But somehow that's still too much? At this point you've literally got to be trolling.
Btw, I never claimed to be good at the game. I am extraordinarily mediocre. Like apparently 95% of the survivors you face. So don't expect me to get up in arms about you trying to insult me.
I am a 4.5k hour nurse main, not to toot my own horn but I am reasonably good, of course you're average joe survivor isn't going to be able to beat me, especially not with how east rank 1 is these days
But didn't you say the game is unbalanced in favor of survivors?
it is, when survivors are playing to escape as quickly as possible, it becomes almost impossible for the killer to win, marth88 proved this but people just brush it off because it proves them wrong.
Because it barely happens in reality. Some 4-swf groups are the only one who play like that. Most r1 games are just a 4k nowadays. The survivor nerf train has to stop tbh. Tackle genrush and camping, the mechanics are balanced now.
"survivor nerf train"
a bug fix and a few minor nerfs is a "train" now? Survivor is still as easy as it ever was.Dont be delusional. You know how easy it is nowadays as killer. Especially if you dont care about playing fair, you can tunnelcamp every game and win 95% of them. They nerfed almost everything on survivors and it stacks up.
DbD used to be having mercy as survivor: not using infinites, not using DS, not using flashlights and instaheals etc
Todays DbD is about having mercy as killer: If you tunnelcamp you win 95% e.a.s.i.l.y.quite the opposite lmao, survivor is turn your brain off time
you can win 100% of your matches totally perkless
so pallets got nerfed a tiny bit and you can't sprint burst 10 times in a chase? Barely anything else has changed, looping is still brainlessly easy and the killer is still on a 3 minute clock.
but the fact you believe camping is an effective strategy really says it all tbh, a killer who camps is not a killer that wins many games. -

But if those people and Marth88 are only 5% of the survivors you face, I fail to understand the problem. I think it's pretty reasonable to assert that these 5% of survivors are perhaps just better at the game. And before you get on me, I'm not trying to insult you. If I survive about 50% of the time, that means 50% of the killers I go against are better than me. And I don't mind that. Because that's the baseline average according to the devs.
because losing from unbalanced game mechanics and not actual skill expression isn't balanced

Several things.
First of all, it’s not THAT rare to have two or more injured Survs at once. And even if it was, don’t forget that this also applies to hooked, downed, and most importantly DEAD Survivors. Once at least one Surv is eliminated, that’s a permanent Thana. Once one more is at the very least smacked, that’s an absence of great skill checks.
Secondly, an 8% stack is not super huge. The way I see it, this stack is a good value to make the anti-skill check effects more punitive to Survivors who can’t hit it without making Survs who can hit those checks totally bone the Killer.
Thirdly, I can testify that hitting greats is not the hardest thing in the world by any means, but if a Survivor can hit great skill checks so consistently that they can turn this Thana AGAINST the Killer in spite of all the debuffs then honestly they deserve to have that ability.8% increased skill check chance is absolutely huge when you consider how skillcheck chance actually works, addictionally all the numbers are still far too low, the only part that would have an actual effect, the slow progression, being only 5% for each survivor is pitiful, only a few seconds on every gen
Those few seconds can be absolutely clutch when you’re as pressed for time as a Killer. Plus, don’t forget they stack.
it still wouldn't be a very good perk, low numbers are the same reason that thana sucks currently

Oh yes, a free escape for survivors is totally 100% fair. Alright. Keep Decisive, then go ahead and give us Decisive Hook. Well that's what DS feels like. @Doc_W_HOLLIDAY
With ds you can down them again and hook them in less than 20 seconds most of the times, they rarely manage to escape, and as others have said already, DS is becoming more unusual, not to talk about 4DS, which is pretty rare. Your idea instead DOES guarantee the hook. Pls, take your drama somewhere else and stop pretending 4DS sweaty swf are a common thing. you will only down a bad player again in 20 seconds bad players using DS is not the issue, it's how absurdly impactful it is when good players use it @yeet
Ok, you said before that only 5% of the survivors you face are good players. Why DS is such an impact if only 5% of them are good?
because it's an impact that makes games very frustrating and basically unwinnable
@yeet
Geez, it's ok to lose from time to time. As @RemoveSWF would say, you are not entitled to win every match.I should lose matches because I was outskilled, not because the survivors packed a cheese perk.

Maybe if the perk didn't make an activation noise so you are likely to only see the aura when looking in that direction anyway.Better idea is make it likes doctors screams work, you see the aura where they'd been but not where they actually were.
So instead of showing the actual pallet being broken/gen damaged you'd just see an aura going off or perhap even what killers see when a vault happens.
You just get a noise notification that something happened over there but not what.
i like this, it fits the theme of the perk a bit more as well, as opposed to magic wallhack powers the survivor is just able to locate where the sound is coming from, being alert

I was injured in both cases and it was a Wraith both times and both of them used the Windstorm exploit before they fixed it with the patch.
it is still possible, being held hostage is when there is truly no way for you to humanly progress the game, eg being blocked in the basement of survivors standing in exploit spots where you cannot hit them

I was referring to where i'd discussed not sure if you were in that thread where the killer wouldn't actually hook you but kept picking me up and chasing me.
The other match was the killer would wait until I had a crow then drop me and carry me around and if I didn't wiggle they'd simply carry me everywhere.
If I wiggled free they'd simply chase and down me then rinse and repeat.
it would still be possible to juke the killer and escape in this situation

Not only that, as a survivor i've faced "non op killers" who were devastating at keeping the map pressure and ended up getting 3-4K, like yesterday against a clown. I found the hatch first but let him kill me because he did an amazing job without camping nor tunneling a single time.
are you sure that it wasn't just caused by bad teammates?
i find the game to be unbalanced because of how strong survivors are when they play to win, which is what i believe every multiplayer game should be balanced around
@yeet
Well yeah, one single dumb survivor can screw the whole team.
Giving to the killers the tools to face the perfect squad would make that the average killer had an easy win against good survivors. Why? Because killers got already the tools to do it and giving even more would make them broken.
Yes, some killers need some rework, but i swear that billy and nurse aren't the only ones who can do great in rank 1.lol killers do not have the tools to do it, the depip squad proved this already

From reading the comments it's ironic how all these people are trying to justify DCing to let someone else get the hatch by saying it isn't cheating or that they refuse to 'play' that game. In reality it is cheating because you are affecting the outcome of the match by intentionally disrupting the natural flow of the game and that's final. It's a scummy move. If you're being slugged, just wait it out and bleed out. I know it's boring and not the most exciting part of the game but it's part of the game. Just deal with it and move on.
^ This, i was about to say the same thing, it's DCing no matter how you square it. You have a bleed out timer, nobody is held hostage, just because you're down while the killer searches for the last person doesn't make it right. DC=DC
It is right. No hostage holding.
being slugged is not being held hostage bucko, there is a bleedout timer

did i claim that they where ok? no i didn't, DCing to affect the outcome of a match is cheating, it allows the other survivor to get an escape that they otherwise wouldn't have by breaking the rules
you can also still win if you are slugged as the second to last person, it isn't an impossible situation
if you can't handle getting slugged then this isn't the game for you since you have no problem not getting sluggedDid I ever say I can't handle slugging, no I didn't but yet another failed insult attempt from you, you're getting desperate and dcing isn't cheating.
No matter how much you want to try and claim it is dcing isn't classified as cheating, is it against the rules yet. Is it cheating in the definitions no.
Cheating is considered modifying the game files, lag switching to give yourself an unfair advantage by manipulating the games performance itself. Cheating would also be using MLGA to know who's who in the lobby.
If you can't handle the truth and these simple facts this most definitely isn't the game for you.

Holy crap, there’s less whining and crying at a daycare. I honestly am shocked every time I come here and see people complaining about literally every aspect of the game.
Balance is coming in bite sized pieces. Both killers and survivors have had both nerfs and buffs, and then some things are adjusted accordingly to balance things out as much as possible. But there are so many of you who will clearly never be satisfied. Not until you’re a rank 1 killer playing against a rank 20 survivor team. Because that’s what some of you are basically implying. This game is extremely competitive. So step up your game and meet the challenge. Because it’s not as impossible as some of you insist on believing.
Inb4 someone comes at me about defending D-Strike. I don’t even use it and I couldn’t give two steaming turds about it. Change it all you want. But then there will just be something else to complain about.
"This game is extremely competitive."
this game is uber casual my dude, especially the survivor side
If it were casual, people wouldn’t get so butt hurt by BM behaviors like teabagging and face camping.
And no. Survivor is not casual. Have you ever been a Rank 1 survivor against good Rank 1 killers? Everyone seems to have this image of all survivors being Gods. But the vast majority of the people at rank 1 are only there because of play time. I only survive about 50% of the time. Which I’m fine with, btw, because the devs said that’s what the baseline should be.
"Have you ever been a Rank 1 survivor against good Rank 1 killers?"
yes i have, and it is embarrassingly easy, if you only survive 50% of the time then you aren't very good at the game
this game is easy, there's very little room for skill expression as brainless tactics are the easiest and most effective
have you ever played an actual competitive game before? They don't have a single viable tactic unlike this game.
have you ever wondered why survivor streamers outnumber killer streamers 10 to 1? Because survivor is a casualised experience that doesn't require much brainpower thus letting them interact with the chat while also looking good, this isn't hard to figure out. -

do you find lagswitching and killers DCing if their ruin gets destroyed early understandable?
The logical fallacies continue I see, lag switching is cheating plain and simple and isn't the same as dcing so stop trying to equate the 2.
As to your question they're not understandable because you can still down survivors and hook them, you can still damage gens.
You have the ability to affect the outcome of the game still using you're own skill, but hey nice try with that failed argument again.
It's obvious you seem to think that lag switching and dcing before the match has really even started are ok as long as you're a killer.
If you can't handle a Hex totem getting destroyed early then this isn't the game for you since you have no problem if t doesn't get destroyed and you get to use it.
Just to be clear I understand the survivors dcing and again I don't agree with it just as i don't agree with killers dcing. This is especially true if the match has only gone a short time and you can still affect the outcome by getting hooks etc.
But some want to keep trying to equate absolute cheating with dcing which while both are against the rules one if much more highly detrimental.
did i claim that they where ok? no i didn't, DCing to affect the outcome of a match is cheating, it allows the other survivor to get an escape that they otherwise wouldn't have by breaking the rules
you can also still win if you are slugged as the second to last person, it isn't an impossible situation
if you can't handle getting slugged then this isn't the game for you since you have no problem not getting slugged -
@CallMeRusty420 said:
Just deal with it and move on.its the same as lag-switching tbh

lagswitching and DCing are both illegal actions, so why is one "understandable" and one "cheating" to you?
The topic of the thread was slugging the second to last to get a 4K, if only 2 gens have been done the hatch won't even be visible at that point
slugging and DCing also aren't comparable, because one is a valid tactic and one is against the games rules
other people in the thread claimed that slugging is "holding them hostage", if they can say that then I can say that looping is holding me hostage
or is breaking the games rules only "understandable" to you when it benefits survivors.
Hypocrite.I said I understood it and apparently you still can't grasp the fact I said and I quote so you can't miss it again as you try and twist what I said.

If you're going to keep denying what was said even when shown the truth of what was said and then try to back it up with more logical fallacies you're not worth discussing with anymore.

Well at least they nerfed hook distance, buffed sabotage, and basically removed slugging.
This will be so much fun!
/Sthey changed hook distances so you wouldn't get gaps in the map that had none making it nearly impossible to hook, but I guess you'd rather have areas on the map that have no hooks so you can have multiple hooks needlessly close together.
buffed sabotage, I don't like this change honestly, we'll see how it plays out but I don't often see sabo in game any more so making it a little more relevant might be fun.
basically removed slugging, wat? It takes longer to heal on the floor now, except you can heal a little more, which doesn't at all prevent slugging?
when it only takes less than a second to get a survivor up that effectively makes slugging non viable in many situations

slugging someone to go find the last person isn't earning that last kill? Why am I then not entitled to lagswitch to catch someone, you aren't entitled to free time from a chase, go earn that chase instead, I mean you're holding me hostage by looping me!
I think it's pretty disingenuous how you're only defending this because it benefits you as a survivor player, that killers have to be punished for survivors taking an illegal action (DCing) in order to deny me points.Slugging to go find someone is fine but going straight to the hatch and camping it isn't actually looking for that person.
Also nice Red Herring and go ahead and lag switch and get banned then, one less person to deal with because they can't play.
You also know full well that lag switching and looping aren't even remotely close but then again I'm not surprised you'd try that logical fallacy.
Now this is rich I'm the one being disingenuous here when I'm not the one throwing out garbage like equating lag switching and looping to each other let alone holding the game hostage.
It doesn't benefit me as a survivor but it benefit both sides if neither one can just sit there and do nothing. Also yet an
Oh yes here it is where you quite obviously saw it and completely ignored it so you could try and logical fallacy like usual. I've even** BOLDED **it for you so you can't miss it.

Grow up guys.
Holding me hostage for 4-5 minutes while you look for the other person i guess is ok?
Sorry you got owned and the other person can loop around and pick you up. You know playing the game through instead of rage quitting because you made mistakes
Mmmm those tears. I’ll always d/c to give that player the hatch when the killer don’t play right. What makes doing this so much more satisfying is knowing it gets you soo angry!
so you're fine with killers DCing when their ruin gets destroyed right away?

Then what is the counterplay to the hatch supposed to be? "Let them get a free escape just because"?
survivor is easy enough as it is, why can't i, as killer, DC to make it so survivors don't get escape points? If you think that this is fair game then surely you also think lag switching is fair game? The counterplay is go find them before it gets to that point, if you camp the hatch and they refuse to go near it then you either give them the hatch or go find them.
You can't have it both ways ehre, you say they don't deserve the free escape well you don't deserve the free kill either. So you go find them, give them the hatch or have a standoff but you're not being given a free kill.
That's the same logic you killer mains have been saying for years now, you don't deserve a free escape, well you don't deserve that free 4th kill either.
When they allow closing the hatch then you can't whine about it anymore and then you have to GO EARN
THAT KILL !!!!I'm actually looking forward to that and hopefully they get rid of Whispers at that point as well so it's a true horror style.
One where it's not about looping but about actually outthinking your opponent and you have to decide where to go on both sides.
slugging someone to go find the last person isn't earning that last kill? Why am I then not entitled to lagswitch to catch someone, you aren't entitled to free time from a chase, go earn that chase instead, I mean you're holding me hostage by looping me!

8% is a huge increase for skillchecks and 5% is a tiny decrease, all you are doing is allowing for more great skillchecks, as having more than 1 person injured is rare because of self care.No_Mither_No_Problem said:@yeet said:

Says the killer with made up rules mad because they can't have their 4k on demand. Now before you get the pitchfork out I don't agree with the dc but I understand it.
If you're going to leave that 1 person then camp the hatch while they bleed out or soft camp them close enough to the hatch.
Then you reap what you sow so to speak and it's no different than killer whining when someone goes and hides.
You get mad that last survivor is immersed and refusing to give you an easy 4th kill, well guess what you haven't earned it.
So quit camping and go find them since isn't that what killers want, survivors that don't sit there and loop endlessly?

1. The basement IS MEANT TO BE A DANGEROUS PLACE and getting a survivor in there IS MEANT TO BE A GAME WINNING SITUATION FOR THE KILLER
2. If you go down you are meant to get hooked, how many second chances do you need? Wiggling off is insanely detrimental to the killer and is not meant to happen often ar all, it only exists so the killer can't basement you every time.
3. If you get 3 genned that is your fault, repair generators strategically or suffer the consequences
4. Survivors are favoured in chases at the moment, you are new and thus bad and don't know this, additionally all killer lunges are exactly the same, the only exception being tier 3 myers, who intentionally has a longer lunge
5. Penalties for camping where tested in the past, survivors abused them massively by swarming and looping around hooks to punish a killer for no reason, you don't deserve to get unhooked every time
maybe instead they should reward not camping, the devs have already decided that camping is a legitimate tactic
if you cannot win games playing in SWF, which is absolute easy mode, then you and your friends are bad players, the game is not the problem, you are, because currently it is way to easy for survivors to win every single game.
tldr; this is just your typical survivor biased drivel, thank god you aren't a game designer -
if you had ever even played billy you'd realise he does have a cooldown
-
since survivors in reality hold all the power there's really no fear
why would you be scared of something that is of no actual threat to you? -

Why do you want to nerf a perk that incentivizes Killers not to camp?
Uh, it makes killers camp. You literally see people all the time talking about how they can't leave the hook when they don't see anyone because everyone was forced to the hook to not be seen. It's a dumb perk design, and killer mains inadvertently ######### about its design every time.
i have never heard killer mains ######### about bbq, ever. i have however heard survivor mains ######### about it on a daily basis. just stop lol
I guess you're new to both forums? Killers hate hook swarming. Survivors hook swarm because of BBQ & Chili. It's not a leap of logic that killers are inadvertently bitching about this perk.
why would killers hate if survivors hook swarm? it means they arent doing gens, and means you can just sit there and get more downs. you are clearly too inexperienced to know what youre talking about.
