These are my first impressions for the update, my thoughts may change but this is what I currently think.
Executioner Changes
The increased delay is nice, removes that BS zoning by doing nothing. However that is quite the knock against his viability. They tried to balance it out by reducing his cooldown but that doesn't feel like enough. Perhaps they could increase the speed of his wave a small bit and maybe better turning to compensate.
Trail Of Torment
I like this a lot, seems as good as something like tinkerer, probably gonna run this every now and then.
Forced Penance
Its better, not great, but better. I'll take it.
Blood Pact
Seems decent for SWF, probably gonna be pretty annoying.
Any Means Necessary
Might run it on my sneakier builds. Sounds good for sneaking around and resetting a good pallet.
Cruel Limits
Its not worse, still probably a bit too situational.
For The People
Nothing that actually matters.
Mind Breaker
Still doesn't seem very good.
Slippery Meat
The chance is stupid, always has been. Until the random aspect is gone I ain't gonna run this.
Thanataphobia
Not sure, seems worse on its own. Might be better with other anti heals.
WGLF
Seems good, capitalism wins again!
Technician
I love me some consistency, probably still not gonna run it but at least its better.
PGTW
Why? Just why? Why you gotta do it like that?
Perk Simplification
Simplicity is nice, I like the change but its nothing to special.
Mac Millan Graphics Update
Concept art looks great, hope it lives up to the expectation. I'm willing to bet money on the idea its gonna be broken in some way though.
What Do You Guys Think?
It suck no ds nerf

I think that pop should be 60 and ds last infinite if a survivor gets tunneled straight off the hook
This is why I won't be back for months.

Ds needs a time nerf, 45 sec. DS at high ranks is just a “act like a dumba$$” perk.
Or ill go chase someone else and hook them, then random run into the survivor unhooked recently who never healed and went to a gen and they still have ds lol
True

@CaulDrohn said:
Blimey, what is all that whining about? Pop timer reduced from 60s to 45s, what is the big deal? It's still way enough to get to the farthest gen and pop it (which btw. is a very stupid way of playing with pop, but whatever). There used to be a time when Pop Tier 1 only had a 30s timer, and it still was a good perk then. Seems like no of you complainers remembers this.
The big deal is DS didn't get nerf

Ds nerd is needed. Less time or action deactivation. Umbrecable is fine. But they will not nerf Ds because 90% os survivors are crap/ potatos and this situation make game 70% kill rate for killers
Very true that why people don't wanna play killers.

You're so right.
DS and PGTW should be the same.
45 second cooldown for PGTW? 45 second cooldoown for DS too.
Pop can be used after every single hook? DS after every unhook too.
Yea that what I said and now it gave me a reason to stop playing it.
-
@Leachy_Jr said:
Why would you even think to do this? Like stop the "oh it's not final and it's just a sneak peek towards the mid chapter", no.
Why would you even think of nerfing pop without thinking of nerfing DS or UB.
It's pretty stupid to call the devs survivor biased, but when they do stuff like this it's hard to call them not.
This needs to be balanced out from both sides, pyramid is getting nerfed, his lose lose scenarios is what made him good, we'll have to see how he turns out though. Other survivor perks are getting buffed (thankfully none of them look busted) and now pop is getting nerfed with nothing to the survivor meta being nerfed along side it.
Pop is still going to be pretty good and usable, but just why did they need to nerf it in the first place? AND why not nerf DS UB in the mean time if we're touching meta perks?
That what I say it piss me off.

Nope, I never get "genrushed". Because if Gens get done fast, it is because I play like #########. But you know, I have seen people claiming getting "genrushed" in 15 minute games....
Also, Tofu never says that he gets genrushed, only when he is joking about it. I dont watch the other two, but I think Puppers is a Survivor Main (but again, I dont watch him).
I think you didn't watch tofu recent videos or so where he did say he got gen rush because in 2 mins a gen past by and same go for otz but again gen rush is a thing and still happen and still happen to good killer like me that it force me to play doctor and Freddy to get a easy 4k and i play good with them but feel easy but when I play as my main wraith it just feel hard because he don't have the enough pressure as doctor,Freddy and oni have so yea it sad I need to play as different killers just to get 4k because of gen rush and especially swf which I hate that like how they hate when killer use noed which is ridiculous.

Survivors: complete 3 gens within the first minute.
Survivor mains: "JuSt PrEsSuRe BrO"
When killers put pressure then is a bad thing but when survivor do it is fine and when killer complain about it they just call you trash well that is not fair.

Gen Rush does not exist. Except you mean that someone like this Youtuber who chases the first person for 3 minutes while the first Gen gets done in 2 minutes.
I think the term "Genrushing" is just parotting. People hear it from Streamers and apply it to their own games. What? They chased someone for 5 Gens? No, they are not bad or dont know when to drop a Chase, the Survivors must be Genrushing!
You will know that good Killer Streamers dont even use this term.
Really even puppers and tofu and monto say that so don't tell me it never happen to you because they are good and better than us so again for sure it happen to you or unless you don't play killers.

See i don't blame you and what happen to me 3 weeks ago I was play as bubba and have ebony Mori and didn't Mori no one until second hook but sad part I only had two hook so I was able to mori one and kill one on hook and one was down but was able to mori him but other person had a key so both escape so now I see why people mori at first hook because of gen rush and keys and it did upset me.

Yeah, thats the problem with NOED. Why try to play good when you have your free Speed Boost and Instadown at the end?
In general, its always bad to follow the cocky person who wants to get chased. 100% there will be a weaker Survivor in the team.
True but there only one main reason people use noed and is a must and that is because of gen runs and many ds and swf who wanna bully you so you can't blame the killer for using noed because of that when all they wanna do is have fun and they do hate camping and tunnel same like me but sometimes I need to do all of that because it piss me off that I can't have fun sometimes so yea there is a problem with noed and tunnel and camping when killers use them in a not deserved way and there is a problem in survivor side when they use ds in a not deserved way too so both side need to fix their problems but first fix DS.
-

Some mental gymnastics there for your favorite streamer misplaying against the admittedly cocky Nea (which probably hurt her more than anything considering she was wasting distance to spam emotes). The constant barrage of "dumbass" "#########" etc combined with an anime girl avatar isn't exactly the type of streamer I'd watch but "hey, to each their own".
I've said this before but people need to learn what a gen-rush is if it takes you 3 minutes to down one survivor and the gens take 8 mins with the full match playing out over 12 mins then it isn't a gen rush. Do the killers expect survivors to go hide in lockers and wait until you finish each long chase - depleting an entire corner's worth of resources (I think it was like 6+ pallets) until it's deemed "okay" to go finish a generator by the killer's handbook? These made up rules go both ways... but in this case this was a consequence of your streamer playing badly then being saved by his crutch noed against a team who didn't do bones and refusing to leave on their own rather than any forced behavior by this Nea's "toxicity" of tapping ctrl and 1 to "taunt". People need to stop getting emotional about that so much
Very true it their fault for not doing bones than doing gens.
-
It 2020 there always gen rush no matter what.
-
@UMCorian said:
Anyone who has ever had a good game of killer has seen this. The survivor who thinks they're hot **** because they figured out which button drops a pallet, probably too soon to even stun you... but they still figure that's worthy of a point/tea bag... then you get a hit, then you get another. Hits start turning to hooks... they seem to forget which button tea bags as they get more and more sweaty... but it just gets easier as they lose their cool. All you need to do to fake them out is turn around once and hide your red light and they run around the corner and give you a hug... then disconnect.
Outside of personal milestones, nothing more satisfying in this game than making a cocky person ragequit.
Very true disconnecting which make them as coward but they ask for it so what do they expect to happen.
-
@MrPeterPFL said:
Yeah this Nea was cocky, I don’t know why people behave like this. However! I just can’t believe this “YouTuber” or “Streamer” spent 3 Minutes and 15 Seconds chasing this one person. And I can’t believe you consider this as “gen rushing” when the first gen popped at 2:15.
When you have noed then you don't care and also when someone is cocky and want to piss you off well why not finish the person because I would do the same like I choose to get the cocky person first because that what they want.

@Aven_Fallen said:
Yeah, Freddy is overbuffed. I see quite a bunch of people saying they miss Old Freddy, and while he was not good, changing his Kit might have worked out. But instead they gave new Freddy everything.
Some notes to your point:
- Allow survivors to avoid puddles by crouch walking over them, and not trigger by simply falling asleep passively; and, slow Freddy down while casting puddles
Crouching does not really make a difference, when he is spamming it in a chase. Not triggering while falling asleep passively would be nice, I just hate it that I give away my position just because I fell asleep on a Snare (nothing can be done about that). Slowing down would be a thing, I dont know why he is not slowed down while placing the Snares.
- Remove the passive falling asleep, and allow survivors to go to more than one alarm clock on the map to wake up
Removing the Micro-Sleep is not a good idea. The current mechanic is not great that he either just has to hit you or to wait until you fall asleep. However, I feel that is the best possible, because otherwise, Freddy might not get to use his power. More than one alarm clock would also not be necessary, but letting it be random instead of the furthest away might work out. (Personally, I would not have any problems when it would be any Alarm Clock on the Map, but this might make the sleep too weak)
- Remove Oblivious from Freddy's basekit, or fix Borrowed Time to trigger based on a killer's proximity to the hook
100% yes. No reason to give him the ability to ignore BT.
No it good reason give him the ability to avoid bt and there should be one for ds too.

@BaldursGate2 said:
Or buff every killer to freddy level so the survivors have to actually sweat their ass off for a win like killers do most of the time?
Where is the downvote button?
Exactly like nerf DS too

@GoshJosh said:
Most of us miss old Freddy, for balance and fun and unique gameplay purposes. Name any other killer with anywhere near this number of powers in one kit/add-ons:
- Teleporting to any incomplete gen, being able to fake the power for only a small cost of it
- Traps that cannot be avoided by crouching over them, disarming, etc., and immediately trigger if standing upon them while falling asleep; as well as no casting penalty/cooldown
- A power that passively works against survivors, along with actively applying it with a successful attack
- Constant oblivious status affect on survivors, except for the few minutes they're able to be awake during the match (negating the ability to safe hook rescue with Borrowed Time)
- Fake pallets that penalize the survivor for removing them, except for the common variant (aura revealed; any other killer with add-ons that reveal auras are rare or higher quality as well, whereas Freddy has an uncommon variant)
- Permanent slowdown add-ons of relatively low rarity (compare to Hillbilly's old slowdown add-ons/Huntress's Begrimed Head)
Here are some proposed fixes for each point:
- Force Freddy to commit to teleporting to gens, not attach it to a very rare add-on
- Allow survivors to avoid puddles by crouch walking over them, and not trigger by simply falling asleep passively; and, slow Freddy down while casting puddles
- Remove the passive falling asleep, and allow survivors to go to more than one alarm clock on the map to wake up
- Remove Oblivious from Freddy's basekit, or fix Borrowed Time to trigger based on a killer's proximity to the hook
- Don't let fake pallet tokens regenerate if the fake pallet is dropped by a survivor, or remove the aura reading affect from the add-ons
- Increase the rarity of the slowdown add-ons

- 2 seconds does not give you enough distance at all.
- The killer can still tunnel you even if you’re at a pallet or window.
It do so it need to stay for two seconds.

@xillucide said:
I understand that DS is currently bugged right now. but I'm just here to say that I wouldn't mind DS nearly as much in its current 60 second state if the perk only stunned for 2 seconds. I haven't complained about getting DS'd at all recently (I play Nurse a lot so I get DS'd a lot), and it's simply just because the stun duration is shorter. As Trapper, Wraith, Hag, Bubba, etc., I don't have as much of an issue when I'm only stunned for a few seconds.. when I clearly didnt tunnel someone but still get DS'd. If I deliberately tunnel someone then I fully deserve the DS, but I don't tunnel and still get the perk to go off.
I wish it stay for 2 seconds.

@OtakuFreak said:
I like this!
It makes it so Decisive Strike becomes more powerful , but only in the context of the killer tunnelling you, but flips it, so the perk becomes weaker when you aren't being tunnelled.
It'll never be implemented though, because DS would no longer be abuse-able, which is sadly what some survivors find fun about it.
Some do not use it for the anti-tunnelling capabilities it brings, but rather to troll and annoy the killer.
There it go you got the facts. Thank you

There's DC's against any killer. I'm watching a guy do a bare bones challenge series on YouTube at the moment with killers. Currently he's playing Myers with only Shadowborn equipped. Nothing else. No add ons either. And he gets a DC almost every match. Red rank killer, too.
That why I did purchase cells to complete my tier 70 and not playing both side until the next tome so that way I can do my easier challenges when I be rank 20 instead of red ranks because it not easy to do those hard challenges on red ranks.
-
@AhoyWolf said:
We all know that Decisive Strike is one of the most abuseable perks in the game, so I'm here to make it a true anti-tunnel perk.
Decisive Strike
Nerfs:
- Unhooking yourself no longer activates Decisive Strike.
- Slightly reduced the Skill Check size.
- Reduced the duration of Decisive Strike to 30 seconds from 40/50/60 seconds.
- Recovering from the Dying State while Decisive Strike is active deactivates Decisive Strike.
Buffs:
- Decisive Strike goes 3x slower while in a chase or while in the Dying State.
- Decisive Strike can now be used multiple times.
- Decisive Strike no longer creates an Obsession at the start of the Trial.
- Increased the stun duration to 5/6/7 seconds from 5 seconds.
Unhooking yourself no longer activates Decisive Strike.
Reason for this change is to remove some synergy between other second chance perks.
Slightly reduced the Skill Check size.
Since with this change Decisive Strike can be used multiple times, slightly reducing the Skill Check size and making it a bit harder doesn't sound like a bad idea.
Reduced the duration of Decisive Strike to 30 seconds from 40/50/60 seconds.
If not being tunneled there is no reason for Decisive Strike to last a whole minute.
Recovering from the Dying State while Decisive Strike is active deactivates Decisive Strike.
This change is done to remove synergy with some second chance perks, like Unbreakable, just to be clear, if your teammate picks you up from the Dying State it deactivates Decisive Strike aswell.
Decisive Strike goes 3x slower while in a chase or while in the Dying State.
If you're being tunneled, Decisive Strike goes 3x slower to give you some time and to waste some of the Killer's time, so if you're being tunneled right of the hook, the Decisive Strike will most likely last for 90 seconds.
Decisive Strike can now be used multiple times.
You can be tunneled after every hook, so to be true anti-tunneling perk this will prevent the Killer to tunnel you again.
Decisive Strike no longer creates an Obsession at the start of the Trial.
Very simple reason for this change, when there is no Obsession in the Trial, the Killer will most likely tunnel, also just to be clear, you will become the Obsession after using Decisive Strike.
Increased the stun duration to 5/6/7 seconds from 5 seconds.
To give Survivors more time to escape when being tunneled to death and to punish tunneling Killers.
DS nerf we need it

NOED is one of those things that's just below the belt. It can make unstoppable endgame builds with other perks. It's overpowered...or is it?
I hate to be that guy, but i'm going to explain my opinion on this perk so you can tell me how wrong i am.
I could just make a one line explanation that says "Do Bones," but i'm going to in depth instead.
-Killer has to go the match with 3 perks, and none if they do an endgame build
-A well coordinated SWF can conquer NOED
-If you get the gate open, losing becomes completely your fault
-You could actually get the gates open faster because you don't need to worry about healing.
-You can cleanse all totems before NOED activates. Sound impossible? An SWF could do it.
-Despite my initial statement, you can in fact do bones.
-If the killer wastes time chasing, your team can open the gates.
-Many survivors see NOED and their reaction is, "Oh, NOED. He must be really bad." Then they make a lot of plays they shouldn't. Even thinking in the back of your head that someone might be significantly worse than you can make a big impact.
-Use a Key.
I'll concede that NOED once the killer closes hatch is a little overpowered. And the endgame can be a nightmare with the right build.
Noed is fine just do totem don't be lazy
-
@Zeus said:
Undying is doing what it's meant to do. Be a bandaid for bad totem spots and alleviate the issue of survivors spawning in front of a totem. If ruin is still up, remember that it is at the cost of 2 perk slots.
Besides devour hope stacks reset when its cleansed. It's not OP in any way. Doesnt mean you cannot run devour hope and undying. You can still run both of them to ensure that survivors dont spawn on devour and devour be hidden in a good totem spot in case it gets found early even before you get any stacks.
Funny part he want a killer perk to be nerf which is easy to counter but not a survivor metal perk which is DS which it really need a Nerf. Me I always do totems that simple.

He doesn’t seem to need a buff so much as a tweak to make him a little less glitchy with the hitbox and to fix the double stun bug on his Lethal Rush hits. His ability to get around the map is great and if he wants to keep chasing someone after he injures them or breaks a pallet it also lets him catch up again very quickly. Most of the complaints about him appear to be from people who were trying to force themselves to get hits with Lethal Rush in situations it’s not designed for. His strength is how the time he saves by Rushing between chases and hits and pallet drops makes up for the extra time it takes to catch people just using 115% movement and basic attacks.
He’s not a top five killer but he’s otherwise pretty decent looking, probably just a little below Billy. (Billy’s mobility is slightly worse but not by a huge amount but can also possibly get instant downs which I bet gives him the edge over Blight.)
He look so bad like is a bad killer to ever exist especially the point i wish his power would be more as see the aurora of all survivors when he activate the power and run faster but not hit on obstacle.

@Maníaco_da_garrafa said:
As a survivor that doesn't use DS, i can confirm this. From my experience, for every 10 games without an obsession, at least 7 of those will have a killer that literally stops what he's doing (if not at the complete opposite end of the map), just to put the injured person back on the hook.
I can understand complaints about DS for balance issues, but it's undeniable that it makes the game better for survivors (even the ones that don't have it).
It don't make it better because people count on DS skill than they own skill because they know they can fail without DS but me without DS i win most of the time because I have skill of not counting DS which I don't use because it also not fun and I don't use it because people use it I like to use different perks because it feel fresh.
-
@GoodLookinCookin said:
In an average game of survivor you are most likely going to have a killer that will stay near or close by to a hook and will come for those two survivors, if the killer spots the injured survivor he will go for the injured survivor, without ds this can be frustrating especially if you are solo queue and you get unhooked right in front of the killer.
But lets say in other circumstances the killer is nice and goes for the rescuer instead, then the survivor will go get healed or work on gens in the mean time. Most of the time ds will run out in this time, but if the killer finds you again in this time you can still ds them.
I dont think ds needs any nerfs or buffs, the only understandable one would be to end ds when you work on a gen.
As a killer you can play around this, ds is meta and should be predictable.
---In conclusion I do think ds is stupid and its just another breeding perk for toxicity and unfun playstyles but it is needed in the environment of dbd in its current state sadly.----
Thank you for saying that DS is dumb and unfun and it don't really protect you big time unless you use it on necessary time like endgame which is helpful not on the first hook but yea DS is boring annoying.
