  • I'd like to think they have some of the Verruca Salts, and Nirvana

  • I consider this an exploit.

  • First thoughts when facing the killers

Trapper: Snap, no more running. Good game is ahead though

Wraith: *crouch* *wait* *move 10 meters* *repeat*

Hillbilly: This game is gonna lag... >.<

Nurse: This'll be easy, or a COMPLETE massacre

Shape: I wish I felt okay about DCing, I hate this guy

Hag: This'll be a fun match!

Doctor: Oh gosh. I hope my allies don't do all the gens in one corner

Huntress: Lalalala, oh wait i should stop humming, that's not good!

    Cannibal: Same as the hillbilly.

Nightmare: lalalala, oh wait, I fell for it again! >.<

Pig: OH SH!#! ...oh, that's an ally.

Clown: Does he need a medkit? Maybe I should bring him one...

    Spirit: AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Legion: Once again, this'll be easy or a massacre

During a game they have to do gens, save teammates etc. You know where to look. When there is nothing to do they can hide forever wherever.

Correct. Searching takes longer. Sometimes perks like Whispers help. Not that you need it, but there are perks that can also give you the chance to get that extra end game hook. I think you and I just view this circumstance differently. People are bound to have different opinions or feelings about scenarios we deal with in game.

Have you ever tried to find p3 claudette with iron will and premonition holding the game hostage?

    interpret* not interrupt, oops.

I've played killer many times, and I don't often look at their perks after a game. So maybe not, or maybe so. That doesn't change the fact that they would be just as difficult to find during the game as during end game.

When I do play killer I personally view this scenario as a chance to find the survivor and hook them. I have had people "hold the game hostage" and don't really feel like that is the case. I just keep playing. Longest I've been in a game at end game was about 20 minutes.

But I also understand that the computer community is more toxic then the PS4 community.

  • When someone says the survivor refuses to leave, for the most part I tend to interrupt that as not being able to find a survivor and down them as a killer when they are giving you more time do to do.

  • 1) why is it called insinuation?

    2) why do they drop pallets in a specific order? what is that order?

    3) how many fragments? Can one player collect them all and then complete the door themselves?

    4) if the killer can’t access this area, if a survivor went in that space then they could just choose to not exit the game and hold it hostage. Unfortunately some people are petty enough to do this. Would there be a time limit to how long they are allowed to stay in that new area?

    5) what happens to the remaining survivors? Do they lose? Do the survivors wanna try and escape this way? Does it leave the other living survivors alone in the trial to complete gens?

    6) how could the killer combat this tactic so they don’t just die every game?

  • It’s not shady, just an oversight. A time associated with a location would be appreciated though.

  • Nap-Sack: You carry one item found in the trial back with you upon death, but it can’t be used since it’s in your sack. It also can’t be lost for any reason during the trial. If you set down the pack, you drop the pack and the item. Takes 6 seconds to store it in your sack after opening a chest.

Utility Backpack: same as nap sack but you can hold two items found in the trial. Takes 4 seconds to store the first item, and 8 to store the second item after opening a chest.

  • Dwight: I’d love to see more odd job cosmetics. He strikes me as someone who’s gone from job to job.

Meg: I’d really like to see another sport outfit. A couple baseball tees would be awesome ^_^

claudette: long dreads! I’d love to have long dreads for her ^_^

jake: a climbing/wilderness gear set like Kate and Meg

Nea: A cyber goth look, and long pigtails with the super long 90s side bangs that hang in front.

Ace: a wedding tuxedo. I feel like ace was almost married once and escaped before he said “I Do”

David: a football tee, the ones with the angled sleeves and the stripes.

kate: beauty queen hair, and a destroyed debutant dress. Also more recolors of her crop top! I want a white one so I can pretend I have Jessica beil’s TCM character. Also a cowboy hat!

adam: long dreads as well! Also, maybe a button shirt with a bow tie and suspenders with shorts

jeff: a Mohawk, and a t shirt over long sleeve shirt, and baggy jeans

Jane: not sure yet, but I really love the cosmetics that are coming out for her

great job, and thank you for taking the time to read these!

  • I mean....that just means they are hiding really well...it’s the point of the game. I understand it’s annoying when the exit gates are open for some people but when I play killer, I don’t get bothered by this. I view it as me simp,y playing the game still, seeking them out, and trying to down them.

  • Do you plan on unlocking parts/adding more to the current maps in the future? In example making it so killers and survivors can make it up to the third story of the meat roasting hut in the red forest?

  • I would buy it ASAP

  • I think in any game there is a responsibility on both sides for both the balance of success and fun, and people tend to lean too strongly towards one side or the other.

  • Since the entity feeds off of strong emotions in general, the entity probably wouldn’t mind it at all. It will boost the hope of the survivor and the entity knows the survivor will eventually die in the end. The more hopeful the survivor, the more tasty a morsel they are.

if it happened too regularly I think the entity would torture the killer to kill more often since that seems somewhat cannon.

It's not about power, it's about consistency. Tell me what's the fun in never getting any use out of a perk because you need to grind it all the way to tier III before it's actually useful. These perks are not being buffed, they're being made consistent across all tiers. You may have fun playing with useless perks, but most people want things to actually matter.

The difference between you and I here is that I don’t feel the need to make sure it’s tier 3. I’m stating my opinion, simply that. It’s okat for us to disagree. I just still find a lot of the lower level tier perks worth it and fun. I don’t think it’s needed to level them all to tier 3. I don’t level perks to tier three unless they are the perk that came with the character intitially, otherwise I only level them to tier 2. Each killer has one generic perk, and each survivor has one generic perk that I let them level to tier 3, but not the other ones.

I’m not saying your feelings are wrong, I’m saying I feel differently.

  • I really like the new change to DS as well

  • @Orion said:

But that is my point - many perks are only significant on tier III.

Look at Ruin. Do you think affecting just two survivors is significant? Now you've got two survivors looking for the totem, while the rest can work on generators without a care in the world.

Look at Devour Hope. Tier I requires that you get five tokens to be useful. When's the last time anyone's gotten five tokens with Devour Hope? I got it once, because the totem was hidden away in a corner of the map and nobody found it until I did. However, when I actually managed to use it, it was destroyed.

Look at BBQ. Tier I only informs you of survivors that are 52 meters away. Do you have any idea how big that is? That's over half the map away. Not to mention the bonus BP is 15%. You might as well just not use it.

How many more examples until my point is proven, exactly?

I still disagree, I think those perks are worth running at lower tiers. I understand wanting them to be stronger, but I still enjoy using them and think it’s fun to play with the lower tier perks.

Really, you think NOED I and II were useful before the main effect (exposing all survivors) was made consistent?

Quoting one perk doesn’t prove your point, and I don’t even use noed.

edit: for clarification, I don’t use it often so I don’t think I could properly refer to that perk. But I still find plenty of tier 1 and tier 2 perks fun to use

How the hell is she top tier? Her power takes a while to fire up and survivors can literally ignore it if they escape and get free heals!

You don’t need the meter to be fully charged, so her power can be used near constant if you have good aim and play smart

Imagine if Self-Care only allowed you to heal yourself on tier III. Would you say that made tiers I and II more relevant, or completely worthless garbage?

That's how a lot of killer perks are now - the main effect of the perk, the effect you actually want the perk for, is only available at tier III, making tiers I and II useless. How things are now is what's making tiers irrelevant.

I have to disagree, i think killer perks are enjoyable on more then just the 3rd tier.

Because she’s an original, she’s a girl (girls are always more fun to dress up,) she’s traditionally more marketable, and she’s less controversial.

    what makes her less controversial?

  • Survivors aren’t supposed to know where the killer is. You’re supposed to not have the upper hand as a survivor. It’s a horror survival game, and survival is supposed to be challenging

  • She and Claudette are the two most played characters so they nearly always get an outfit. It’s annoying because it reinforces their use by the other characters having l8mited skins, but it is what it is I suppose,

If you don't let them get away there's not much point to making them sick in the first place.

Making them sick makes them easier to track, does it not?

  • DS should be recharged at lockers like the Huntress, it’s only fair.

Maybe even auto used when grabbed, no skill check needed.

  • My picks:

    Huntress - Dead Hard

    Nurse - Dead Hard

    Leatherface - DS

    Hillbilly - DS

    Clown - Iron Will

    Doctor - Iron Will

    Spirit - Light Weight

    Myers - Premonition

    Freddy - Self Care

    Trapper - Small Game

    Legion - Sprint Burst

    Pig - Sprint Burst

    Hag - Urban Evasion

    Wraith - Urban Evasion

    Plague - maybe vigil?

  • I’m sorry this game has introduced something that legitimately terrifies you. I do have sympathy for you in that regard. But why are you playing a horror game with the expectation that they WOULDN’T introduce something legitimately scary. It’s a horror game. i think that requesting some for of refund could be feasible, but it’s slightly unreasonable to play a horror game and then be upset they introduced something that achieves their goal in the horror genre. But the fact you may no longer be able to play the game because of the potentially dangerous physical effects because of a legitimate psychological disorder may be enough to acquire the refund with proof of the medical issue.

I imagine the lack of realism in the vomit doesn’t help because it’s more so a triggering effect similar to sympathetic vomiting.

i hope you find some resolution in this area.

  • Most people do and it’s irrational since any character can have any perk and be played in any fashion,

so you believe it is a big no-no rewarding 10k hours of playing as satisfied customers?

He only said no rereleasing of Legacy cosmetics and no fifth perk slot. Then emphasized the word no’s meaning on a thread requesting the original legacy outfits

A reward for devotion should happen, but I think it should be unique, and not be something that breaks the balance of the game like a special 5th perk slot for people.

    1. Maybe you can raise the tier of a perk for a characters
    2. make a “legacy” cosmetics for the survivors and killers that don’t have them
    3. you could get a free cosmetic from the shop
    4. Unlock an alternate hair color for a survivor’s original headpiece
    5. be rewarded 250 iridescent shards per devotion rank
    6. unlock a permanent version of the lowest level Medkit or toolbox for ONE character of your choosing.

there are a bunch of options for what could happen.

legacy cosmetics should stay unique, and if they were to make new ones for the newer survivors I think they should also make them a temporary thing that is a challenge to unlock. Do the next 5 characters at the anniversary, Ace, Feng, David, Kate, and Adam. Then a year after release legacy for Jeff, Jane, and the next three.

this is coming from someone who has no legacy outfits. It should stay rare, and if they do it again, it should really be a temporary unlockable for only newer characters at an anniversary or something.

  • I kind of think time doesn’t really “flow” in the entity so I don’t think a child could develop. maybe be brought in, but not grow or age. We haven’t been told if people get older in the realm or if they stay the “same age”.

Since nothing can die, though this isn’t guaranteed, I think nothing can be technically born into the realm. At least not from that he bodies of the survivors. Maybe the entity could birth something that functions and grows in the dimension it is made from. But I think the survivors and killers might not be effected the same since they are from a different realm.

Can I ask what your source is regarding luck affecting chest items? I've never seen a credible source that confirms this. The DBD Wikipedia (not that I automatically assume that it is 100% correct) has no mention of this as well.

devs have spoken about wanting luck to effect item rarity from chests in the last, and it seems they implemented it after the last event where they expanded the chance of finding items of all rarity types

  • I’m guessing she makes you so sick you vomit to death somehow. Maybe kiss of death with vomit and then the survivor hacks up their innards before collapsing.

  • I like how the Plague can vomit on pallets and generators, etc. to infect you and leave traps. I’m curious how that’ll feel to play out

  • Up the Ante at Tier 3 gives 3% for each OTHER survivor. So it provides a bonus of 9% for everyone as long as 3 survivors are alive. Added to the 4% bonus, each escape attempt you have

13% w/ all four still alive when first hooked

    • 87% chance at failure

10% w/ three still alive when first hooked

    • 90% chance at failure

7% w/ teo still alive when first hooked

    • 93% chance at failure

0% for the last survivor if solo since it’s an insta-dead

A perk to pair with this one is Slippery Meat which will give 1/2/3 more attempts to escape.

If you use Vigo’s Jar of Salty Lips, it’ll increase your escape chance by 3%. If all four survivors use it, it’ll add a 12% chance if escape thus:

25% w/ all four still alive when first hooked

    • 75% chance at failure

22% w/ three still alive when first hooked

    • 78% chance at failure

19% w/ teo still alive when first hooked

    • 81% chance at failure

0% for the last survivor if solo since it’s an insta-dead

The chance of escape is s also highly dependent on certain perameters. For example if escape is done by generating a number, it might be a circumstance that it is a guaranteed escape if the number 1-4 is generated out of 100. This would make it so that each time you try and escape it is still unlikely you will make it out thought, slightly more likely.

They could have it set up where once a number has been generated for an escape attempt, say 83 was generated, it couldn’t be generated the second or third escape(4th, 5th, 6th w/ slippery meat)

that would mean the second attempt has 99 numbers to pick from, the third has 98, etc.

it could also be that your escape precentage chooses that many numbers out of 100 randomly, and a complicated algorithm picks numbers at “random”.

The 4 salty lips scenario is not very likely though, I’ve probably played 2 games with that circumstance in my two years and one was specifically planned.

in the end using these perks won’t guarantee an escape in a game because the odds will always be against you for one, but you will get an escape maybe one out of every 3 games if you try and escape instead of waiting it out and hoping for a rescue.

  • This killer seems really awesome! I’m excited to use this ability and I really like the visual concept.

I know now this is just guessing but I believe it’ll probably weakensurvivors and thus slow down their speed in interacting with items, while also being easy to see and hear. This power seems like one that will be hard to hide once hit by.

I do wish the bile looked a little more realistic, but I think it’s a fun color

i like Jane too, and think her powers will be a fun addition to the game. I’m wondering how close the kille rhas to be for the stun to work. I’m thinking it’ll be a perk you activate right before the killer opens a locker, or maybe right as. But I think it’ll be an interesting perk to play with and around.

  • Prostalatory Plague maybe. Trying to save souls and lives, even though she’s going about it wrong. I don’t know if the Nurse is second or the Wraith is, but I might put the Spirit fourth.

  • i think the perk they introduced has been one on a few people’s minds for a little while and I’m really glad to see it finally introduced

  • Yes! I play for fun, and I think this games sense.

  • I think the Legion is fun to play. It gives you an opportunity to combat gen rushing, and play a divide and conquer style. Tunneling isn't needed, though it is an unfortunate mechanic which plagues the character.

Honestly not every killer is going to be fun. They are all differently played and it means some of us will be better then others with certain killers. I'm horrible with Billy even though other players are awesome with him.

I like having the legion focus on keeping people away, and I like targeting different character types based on the cosmetics I'm wearing.

I will say that as a survivor they give me the most fear when playing. They are I think the strongest killer in the game now. From personal experience I find the Legion easier to kill people then other killers, and I find myself dying against them the most. I feel like Michael and Billy are up there. The nurse is a little more hit or miss on the console then the computer even if she is still fun to play.

I don't know what could be done with legion to make them an easier to play against character while not weakening them. Maybe add in a stronger effect, like half the time of the bleed out, but are it so the character you hit within maybe 15-30 seconds after the first one is an instadown. So You don't tunnel the main survivor, but there is a higher stake in not healing quicker. Maybe make it so that the survivors in your terror radius leave scratch marks for 4 more seconds or something. Remove the aura thing.

  • I believe tunneling is okay in the circumstance that:

    • They are your obsession
    • They are baiting you and want to be chased (can be ignored)

I believe camping is okay in the circumstance that:

    • You have whispers and can clearly hear another survivor is already nearby, so long as you're searching for them in that area.
    • You're a killer like the Wraith who is built on a "hide and attack"/"bait and attack" play style, which SHOULDN'T be paired with tunneling.
  • Legion is intended to find multiple survivors all working on a generator, then scatter them so they don't gen-rush, hit each one of the survivors found once with your power so they have to stop what they are doing and bleed, which slows down progression of the survivor objective.

  • Genntapping - incredibly slow

Bodyblocking - Hit them. People try and sacrifice themselves in horror movies. This makes sense.

As far as I'm concerned, for he most part anything that fits a general horror film narrative is okay.

    1. The Acolyte (main guess)
    2. The Corrupt
