As long as the killer is rewarded more for killing a survivor than they are for spreading hooks, anything short of making survivors invulnerable would stop tunneling. But making survivors invulnerable would be a far worse situation than tunneling is.

That is unfortunatly wrong. The only way killer would stop tunneling (by rewarding them) is the existance a strategy that is even more effective then tunneling. And if that happens, the game is in serious serious trouble, even more then it is already.

The only way to make people stop tunneling is by punishment. DS 5 seconds is the first step into the right direction, but i think even that is not enough.

so, you dialike the idea of having new game modes even when thr normal mode is still there? ok

Yes. I pointed out the reasons why i do. You disagree with any of those?

    @CrypticGirl said:

How is this mode unbalanced? I think it's the most balanced gameplay we've ever had. With no perks for either side, we don't have to worry about four gen-slowdowns or anti-heal or anti-stealth. On the other side, you don't have to worry about gen rushing perks or sprinting speed exhaustion perks, MFT, Hope, Adrenaline, etc. The gameplay is all skill- and sense-based.

It is the core game with basicaly no balance adjustment, but with no vision, no scratch marks and no terror radius. And yes, no perks either. It is absolutly wild to think this could possible be slightly ballanced. Even the devs admited that this will be a very unballanced experience.

  • @Adaez said:

It's just not worth it, I have to sacrifice all my perk slots to barely put a dent in survivors progress, how many seconds is 25%? Like 15 seconds, what can the killer achieve in 15 seconds? Almost nothing.

I rather go with and endgame build, end the game faster than play chess with gens.

I stand by my take that until the 3 big flaws of this game are not solved(genrush, tunnel, camp) with bonus(MMR,cheaters, map balance and map offerings) it won't be satisfying to either win or lose.

You don't even earn that many bps, games are either a genrush, everyone escapes fast and neither side get more than 15k bps, you overpower survivors and they give up and get the same low BP amount.

To sum up the most common DBD experience in it's current state, it's miserable.

How often do you get genrushed?

What is your typical outcome of your rounds?

  • If they nerf his Chainsaw Sprint CD including the addons, he is fine.

Unfortunatly, as we all know from Blight, this wont happen before 2028.

No, I don't think there is a big conspiracy happening here.

BHVR is unlikely to sabotage its own product.

It has nothing to do with conspiracy, it is a tactic to stay relevant. It is clever marketing arguably the best way to keep people playing the game. I would do probably exactly the same if i would be the owner.

If you doubt that, ask yourself the question: Is it even possible that BHVR is that incompetent that they release / buff / nerf how they do? Does anybody really think Made for this was so long untouched because BHVR had the slightest doubt this perk was ballanced or not? Or that they release Zero CD Hillbilly as a fresh example without knowing what they do?

They are 100% aware of their actions. I would be shocked if this was not the case. They would work like blindfolded and without a plan. They are not completly incompetent or stupid.

While I agree that they release certain perks and changes to shake up the meta, I don’t think this is at all to “give people stuff to complain” about. There’s been people on the forums for years that were begging them to shake the meta up and when they finally do it, it’s seen as a conspiracy? They’re simply trying to keep the game fresh, not spark controversy.

If people complain, they care. When they stop complaining, the game is most likely in a very bad spot. People are not made for happyness. They need the chaos, errors and faults. It is all psychological, and the trick is to not overdo it. BHVR is always on the edge of this, and since the game is still breaving, they have not oversteped this thin line.

On top of this all, as the OP said, when they complain, they spread those complains around the world. Youtube for example is a strong medium, and complaining about stuff in DBD is one of the most frequent things people do.

Or imagine every perk would be perfectly ballanced. There is no room to discuss or ask for buffs ect.

  • I've had this thought recently that might sound VERY far-fetched and 100% could be wrong, but it's a thought I had nonetheless. Is there a possibility that BVHR is purposely messing up balancing in Dead By Daylight?

I am pretty sure they do it on purpose. Creating or buffing strong perks like Made for this or Grim Embrace which are CLEARLY overpowered only surve the purpose to shake up the meta, give people stuff to complain and simple keep the game relevant.

Maybe that's the key though. Moderation.

I don't play a lot these days I don't have the issues that a lot seem to complain about here playing SoloQ. Then again, even when I was playing a lot I never really had issues with it.

I personally also have not the biggest issues, but a lot of people do have. The point is that a very small seed of games is clearly not enough to evaluate.

  • @WolfyWood said:

Grain of salt but I'm noticing much higher quality of games lately.

Played eight solo-queue games today. Escaped six, died in two, of those two one was a three out and the other was the only 4k of the entire day.

    Some things I noticed:

-Very rare to get totem cleansers, spam healers, and locker fanatics. Gen efficiency has gone way up, and games don't feel lost by the first hook or death.

-Perk loadouts of teammates are actually decent. No more boons or chest builds.

-Playing altruistically is rewarded with selfless teammates making smart trades a lot more.

-Killers feel fairly consistent in skill-level instead of being way above or way below skill-wise. Knowing what to expect when I load in has made it a lot easier to be consistent.

I'd personally say the MMR change was a success. Curious as to how others feel.

10 games is clearly not enough to judge. Come back if you still have the feeling during your next 1000 rounds.

  • Interesting posts.

Some people who have posted in this thread constantly complain that rounds are over in 5 minutes and they cant catch a survivor and then the exact same people say they reach 8 regressions on a single gen!

  • my-image(37).png

Nurse arguably needs a nerf, but on the other side, she works perfectly fine as a frustration valve when a killer round goes wrong. I explained that in a different thread why, as she is, is mostly okay, even tho she is actually op.

Knight needs a complete rework. The entire concept of this killer is problematic.

Dull Merchant same as Knight, only a 1000 times more problematic

Bild Lady needs some fundamental changes, everything about her kit is boring.

Twins needs full rework. Twins are such a wasted oportunity - they could have been the first 2 people in 1 killer. Charlotte is just a basic M1 killer, while Victor has no attack but has other abilities like blocking gens or pallets. On top of that, free scouting ect.

Freddy, the Slasher Goat needs a full rework. A version of V1 but different that survivors get teleported to HIS realm.

Myers, the other Slasher Goat while beeing very true to his character needs a rework. The stalking mechanic is just outdated.

Onryo needs a rework. There are tons of suggestions around, pick one, it is for sure better then the current version of her.

Hag actually is kinda close to be fine. In fact i am not a fan of the ability to destroy her traps but rather that they are visible when survivors come close to them. Make her not able to teleport back to the hook - just like Dredge with lockers.

Dredge needs his Skull Addon baskit. Other then that, this killer is mostly fine.

Xeno is extremly close for me to put it up to rework. Tail is such a frustrating mechanic, and on the other side, the turrets are just meh. In fact, screw that! Up to rework! When i heared Alien, i thought of a killer who can climb walls and shred from there like a demogorgon. Something like that would be much more intersting. But very difficult to achieve, since it could become oppressive.

Spirit is mostly fine. A mini nerf to her phasing speed is all i am asking for.

Hillbilly is kinda fine, slightly overbuffed in my opinion. The cooldown after chainsaw sprint is much to short. And the fact they added those 0 cooldown addons back into the game is just embarrassing for BHVR. Seriously guys? It now makes sense why you reworked him in the first place: You REALLY had no idea what the problem was.

Singularity is an interesting killer. Remove the addon that the movement speed is faster after teleport. Other then that, mostly okayish.

Pinhead is complicated. Its either complete desaster round or stomp. The box should be less punishing for survivors and on the other hand his snare could be slightly stronger.

Trickster should actually be called the One-Trickster. So rework his name. I acutally thought he should be reworked, but i dont see any redeeming qualitiy with this dude. Some minor tweaks are probably the best to do with this failed concept of a killer. I gave up on him honestly.

Chucky's scamper is a joke. Once he is in his power, its almost a guaranteed hit because of that. Slize and dize might also need some tweaks. On the other hand, cooldown is to long. He has the potental to be fine, but for now, still problematic.

Blight's addons are still a joke. Exaplaining all of them would take much to long and i am still testing around.

Pig would need a minor buff to her ambush, but on the other side a minor nerf to the traps. Overall, more buff then nerf, but she is not nearly as bad as some think.

The other killers are fine for me. Even weaker killers like Legion or Trapper should not be buffed to much, if even. They might become way to oppresive and frustrating to play against when chained to much.

  • If there is any game out there with a worse playerbase then DBD's, this game should be illegal.

LoL feels in comparison with DBD like a little pony farm, surrounded by flushy clouds and ever smiling all-time happy people.

lots of people will care. just because you don't, doesn't mean others agree with you.

characters should not be deleted. ever. there is never an excuse that justifies it.

There are a few people who care for her. But on the other side, a thousend times more people want her to be gone for good.

What is the counterplay to every aura perk?

You just hate Ultimate Weapon because you're aware of it's existence when you scream.

Why is UW a problem but Darkness Revealed isn't?

Works with dead mans switch, thats the problem.

  • @JimbusCrimbus said:

Seems to me, the "I love to verse Hillbilly!" crowd doesn't feel the same way anymore. After nearly 12,000 hours in this game, his counterplay is literally identical now to what it always has been.

Be honest with yourselves and everyone else - you liked facing Billy because he was weak. Not because you like his chase. OG's ACTUALLY like facing Billy, and still do.

Nobody is complaining about the fundamental concept of this killer by any means. He is still arguably one of the most fun killer to go against, and so was every other version of him. His issues go much deeper then "stong!11111".

Your argument overall is insanly bad when looking at the bigger scale of the killer roster.Lets lookt at the Blight for example. Is Blight bad? No, second strongest killer in the game. And yet, he is also the most beloved by survivors. Or how about Wesker? Or Huntress?

On the other side Clown is not really a strong killer, but disliked by the community.

I hope you see how flawed your statement is.

He doesn't have instasaw. Only thing that might need to be nerfed are the cooldown add-ons or at least make them not stack together. His base kit is fine. If they will go back and again nerf his base kit to make him more clunky and punishing, people will play him less again and he will be weaker. There are still few killers who are better than him, some of them by a mile.

So you tell me you have not read the original thread then?

I am complaining about those addons. Which is already worse enough that they made this mistake AGAIN!

True, he does not have the original insta saw, its actually even worse.

  • @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

Yea just nerf him allready so we can stop playing him and go back to our usual cast of top tier killers but don't be suprised when your games diversity in matches decreases again.

You think insta saw is fine?

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3642302#Comment_3642302

yeah i dont get the thing saying "hes stronger than old instasaw" when with both the charge rate addons and tinkerer he had like 20% more charge speed than he does in his current form even with overdrive. And you also had all the other benefits like lesser bump, lesser cooldown. Ect.

    https://youtu.be/Q9mTz0C2s1A?si=Ks1nA8V84v_1Rbl4

    And this was without tinkerer.

The only one i could find with tinkerer was montos video from back then.

    https://youtu.be/42cc02bXQFI?si=x1HUv1FcMg1Cdo89

Where the saw rev noise wouldnt even finish by the time he would hit you. Its hardly comparable to his newer version especially when his bump was near instantaneous with this build as well as you also see in montos video. so he could miss the saw. instadown you anyway. Bump. Instadown you anyway. Find you anywhere. instadown you anyway. They arent even close to "comparable"

Of course it is a stronger version, not even a hot topic by any means. Pre running against Billy is the best way to deal with him. Since his insane speed now, this is a thing from the past. His now even lower base CD on missed chainsaw with CDR addons makes survivors go absolutly nowhere. The ultimate issue we had with the older version of Billy.

The best way to avoid getting a nerf is to ask for a buff.

I say this whole post is a bait, clearly knowing Xeno is very powerful and should rather get nerfed instead of buffed. People often fall into this trap. Just wanted to point that out.

  • Nope.

Just to add some counterpart to this nonsense request, i ask for an extra 2,5 seconds on a missed tail attack.

Billy has it better than Bubba right now but give him his time to shine, he deserves it. Bubba was given a massive power overhaul that made him the prime chainsawer of DBD, while Billy was thrown in the trash in that same update and egged on by the continuous map reworks that screwed his collision. He's been neglected for the past 3-4 years, so I fully believe he deserves to be in the spotlight again, just like Bubba has.

Billy has it better than Bubba right now but give him his time to shine, he deserves it.

Why are people keep saying this? Just because Billy was overnerfed in the past, it is now fine to overbuff him?

Lets use this argument for Decisive Strike then aswell. 10 seconds stun should be perfectly fine for the upcoming change, because it was nerfed a lot. Lets make this perk "shine".

    Please.

  • @Kees_T said:

Dai amigão, beleza? You were healing in a deadzone, without anything to work with(no window or pallet), you were expected to take a hit, which was punished with an instadown Killer.

Billy is now more in pair with the current strong Killers squad. You got punished for your bad decision, and that's just about it; I don't think the changes on him would change what happened; you were going down no matter what.

There were a lot of mistakes on your part too.

    • Ignored chainsaw noise and kept healing anyway; only stopped because you looked at him. If you had stopped healing 1s before, you would have more time to plan your run.
    • You should've been downed in the first 3 seconds of the video; you got lucky it didnt hit.
    • At 00:14, if you knew the pallet was gone, you could've left the loop, since at 00:08 on the right you can see another point of interest.
    • 00:21, if you didn't know the pallet was used, again, you should be downed anyway. You were just delaying the inevitable, which, in the end, was you getting stuck in the hay.
    • 00:18, he could've curved here but for some reason didn't, prob he thought you left the loop, but for a surprise, you didnt!

"bla blah Killer x needs 3 hits before he downs you" Each Killer has different powers; some are strong and other weaker. Nemesis can hit you through pallets/windows at a ranged distance but needs to land the infection first, and Legion is the only Killer who can injure 4 Survivors in a short time; but can't down them with their power(5 hit only). They have justified cooldowns for their powers, and so has Billy.

Someone clearly has not understood the overall issue. As if it is about if there was a pallet missing or not.

And apart from that, THE ENTIRE MAP is a deadzone with usually 8-10 pallets on a fresh seed.

  • Agreed. Survivors gain zero distance after a chainsaw miss, therefore Billy can zone basically infinitly. Its like BHVR holding the killers hand at that point and saying "Dont worry, you can be as aweful as you want and miss as many times as you want, they wont get absolutly nowhere."

I haven’t played Dead by Daylight in six months and recently got back into it again. I bought Xenomorph for the perk “Ultimate Weapon” because I find survivors stealthing and just playing immersion very boring and non-interactive, searching for them for half the game is very time consuming and could debatably be considered the same as a killer stalling the game by gen regression as it’s a way to stop the game from progressing as well.

Historically I notice a pattern of everytime a perk getting nerfed it becomes unusable, I’m hoping this doesn’t happen with Ultimate Weapon because it is such a Quality-of-Life improving perk specially when playing a killer that doesn’t have information built into their kit.

Also the last gen regression perk killers have gotten was when I first started playing the game around Onryo’s release - “Call of Brine”. And with almost every new update survivors have received a gen progression/speed perk. I really appreciate this information perk “Ultimate Weapon” when I first saw it I knew I had to fit it into my perk load out even tho it doesn’t synergies with the rest of the 3 perks because survivors playing stealth and me having to look over the entire map for them has to be my least favorite part of each game.

I hope the team keeps up the good work and continue to provide killers with such nice perks that improve our gameplay quality, thank you!¡!

    Nice try, champ.

  • @jesterkind said:

I keep seeing this comparison around, and it's absolutely baffling to me because it's so obviously not true. Even assuming the things people say about GE + DMS are true (more on that at the bottom of the post), that combo is nowhere near as awful for the game as old Eruption was.

    For comparison here...

    Eruption:

    • Blocked you from performing all major actions except unhooking, with the Incapacitated status effect.
    • Applied its effect for 25 seconds.
    • Could be activated a functionally unlimited number of times; the only limiting factor is that downing survivors would either translate to a hook or would lead to them bleeding out eventually.
    • Had absolutely no tell or warning before it happened to use for trying to counter it.
    • Damaged generators directly and guaranteed uninterrupted regression too.

Grim Embrace + Dead Man's Switch:

    • If it works, blocks the generator you're working on for around 25 seconds (depending on killer movement speed). Other generators are blocked for 12 seconds, and no other actions are hampered.
    • Happens three times a match. (The fourth Grim Embrace doesn't interact with Dead Man's Switch, and we're looking at the combo here.)
    • Has a very meaningful tell that makes countering it extremely doable for any player that wants to.
    • Does not directly damage generators and prevents their regression.

Now, that third bullet point for GE + DMS invalidates this whole comparison to begin with; the combo doesn't even meaningfully work because of how easy it is to counter, it's in the exact same boat as Pain Resonance and Dead Man's Switch. Even disregarding that, though, comparing it to Eruption is absolutely ridiculous. It's an exaggeration so extreme that it really damages the argument.

The entire hysteria around this combo is incredibly overblown, and it seems like half the people mad about it only talk about Grim Embrace to begin with. Whether that perk needs changes or not, I am very confident in saying this combo is not problematic in any way that outstrips the perks on their own. I'd be delighted to hear any context I might be missing here, because I'd like to think the people talking about this have some kind of valid point I'm simply missing, but as it stands this looks like one of the biggest overreactions in the community's history and that's saying something.

For me it is not of imporance if it gets (rightfully or not) comparared with other metas or buids, but it comes down to the fact that Grim Embrace is plain and simple very overpowered, some may say broken. I am not even talking about overpowered because it can be paired with DMS, but rather the perk itself.

Just compare Pain Res, an already very powerful Perk with Grim Embrace. Getting a total value of almost 80 seconds on ALL gens (GE) vs 90 seconds on ONE gen (PR) is not close to the same power level so to say. The same level would be if PR would trigger on every generator.

And like mentioned, it can be paired with DMS, which has the potential to lock every gen for 2 minutes. Two freakin minutes! How is this not busted? The funniest ######### is those people who defend GE are the once who complain about the minus 5 seconds for a gen on Deja-Vu.🤣

We should talk about how to fix Grim Embrace instead of defending it. It is pointless to even pretend this perk is okay.

  • Tunneling is when the killer is going for 1 person and ignore everything else (exceptions might be body blocking survivors).

So no, you did not tunnel.

Go to youtube, look up Hens and Otz series of no restrictions. See how well your theory hold.

  • Well said, nothing much to add really.

Billy while being super hyped by killer mains (understandable) is so insanly overtuned, it is comical. BHVR must have all been in a meeting, coming up with eight or nine different ideas how to make him strong again, but could not decide which one to use. So they added all at once 🤣

Besides that... the Flashlight Perk is just dumb. Killer complain about flashlight and there annoyance since ages. What is their response? Make a perk that Flashlights are even more annoying.

Well, when they lose, they will get weaker killers. When they escape, they get better killers. It's not really difficult concept to understand.

It's funny to see players tryharding as much as they can and then are suprised other side does same.

What killer power is overtuned in your opinion? That will be fun topic for sure.

I personally don't like MMR, ranks were good enough in my opinion.

Sure, when they loose they get weaker killers. And then? The killer is tunneling and the survivor has to sustain for a very long time to counter tunnel. To repeate myself. What do killer really want? Survivor beeing so good at the game that they can hold them for as long as survivors need to finish 3-5 gens? Just for the sake to keep tunneling the optimal strategy? I doubt this is what both sides want. So, and once again, i think this argument is bad, actually controproductive for dynamic or fun in general.

What killer powers are overtuned? Plenty, at least for our tunneling discussion. We are talking about powers that are so strong survivors cant hold long enough so the rest of the team can finish (almost) all gens. Obvious ones like Nurse, Blight, Spirit, Chucky, Wesker, Skull Merchant, Knight, Artist or Singularity for example. On average, there is no way you can run those killers much longer then a minute, and i am only talking about first chase. For example the expected time on a fresh seed with a headstart for survivor vs Wesker is about 1:10. Second and third chase (proxy camping) goes much quicker by the way.

Me neither. I also preferede the old ranking system. Everybody was more focus on althurism and safing each other - on the other side more focused on spreading hooks. It used to be way more fun in general.

Actually modern day spirit its the opposite.

You have more information on the spirit, because the phase is directional and will tell you exactly where she is now, if you are injured then you have equal information.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3637091#Comment_3637091

That directional phase only really matters from a distance. At short loops the sound sort of meshes together and at the end of the day shes still moving at almost twice your speed, which gives her a lot more room for error

I dont know about that, maybe my headphones are super good or my ears work very well, but i can tell pretty much always where she is during phase. That does not mean i can react always in time - it depends on which situation you are in.

Nevertheless, Spirit is still strong but compared to the old Spirit, she has a lot more counter play then she used to have (which was Spine Chill and a good connection to the Luck gods). In the past it was more of a guessing game for the survivor and even that would not really help to much.

  • It has nothing to do with being cowards or weak. Most SWF are actually very chill groups who just want to have some fun together.

I think it's a flawed concept to try and make every map work with every killer. What other game even attempts that? It's a solved problem in PVP games that DbD reintroduced.

In other games, you know the map going in, and you adjust the character pick/loadout accordingly. You should never be in a situation where a map renders your power or loadout useless. That should never happen to players, and it's just accepted as the norm in DbD. Why is it ok for a Singularity player to ever load in to Lerys? Or a Ghostface player to load into Borgo? We can do better.

You add so much more of a strategic element when you see an indoor map, pick a killer accordingly, and have the survivors pick their loadouts based on what they're anticipating with the map+predicted killer choice. The game has been out for nearly 8 years. We can move past the quirky/random philosophy that is meant to engage players for the first 50 hours.

No other game is trying that, but there is also more or less nothing else like DBD.

But you are completly right with your opinion that the games ballance around all maps is absolutly impossible. I suport this opionion since ages. The catch is, we are already way to deep to get out of this.

For me it all started with the Clown. Instead of reworking the maps, they bypassed it with a killer power. Now we have tons of different killers and everyone deals different with the chase mechanics, while playing on the same map. Not only the same maps, but rather the same defense mechanism.

The issue is, having a map pool for each killer wont solve anything. The downside of playing the same maps over and over again would cause way more trouble and way less interesting rounds then this fix (which is not really a fix, but rather another small bypass).

Result of chase should be based on skill of players. If you get downed under 30 seconds against M1 killer, you should improve your skill, not ask for survivor buffs.

Not really. Is it the survivors fault that the killer is stronger then them? Wouldn't it be more logical that MMR is simply bad or killer powers are overtuned?

Part of the change had something to do with the visual TR. So certain players didn't feel forced to always have one slot dedicated to SC.

How i understand it is that the visual Terror Radius is just the terror radius, no more no less. Old Spine Chill activated when the killer was looking at you. Just because a survivor is in the killers terror radius does not mean the killer is looking at you.

Personally I think Resilience should lose its vault speed bonus and Spine Chill should get its bonus back. Resilience does too much while Spine Chill does too little, split the difference.

I like this idea quite a bit.

  • I dont know for sure, maybe. If the survivors are the ones who have to stay in the boon so the perk triggers, yes it would be absolutly to big of a raduis. But for the killer? Good question.

When I said it should work like every other boon, I assumed they all worked only for Survivors inside their radius. I don't really use boons all that much, so I don't know if there are boons that work only when Killers are in the radius.

Thats another catch. I would actually love if it is a boon where the killer has to be inside it (thats why the big radius). But those details are not set in stone.

Since when was billy unloopable? I see this going around but he has pretty much the same weaknesses as other killers? You get to a pallet and you just drop it. Then he breaks it. You vault a window. If he has bamboozle he can follow you and block it. Most of his rules are pretty much the same. And unless he masters curves and you just refuse to drop the pallet the saw still will be the same gameplay wise.

I never said he was unloopable, but i have a very strong feeling he is now due to his insane speed.

But I dont want to draw conclusions very early. Lets see how it goes.

    or...

This might be very repetitive but...

    Last longer in a chase?

Like you got all these anti-tunnel perks and whatnot, and if you're still going down during that time, it's a You issue, a Skill issue if that..

Improve your looping and don't be two tapped =D, js

So on the one hand killers want short chase time and on the other they suggest to survive longer in a chase to counter tunnel. What shall it be chief?

My vote would be to just have it work like a normal boon for the sake of consistency.

Im down for that; but i am very uncertaint about how it should function. Should the killer be in the boon radius or should the survivors stay in the boon radius for it to work? I guess i am leaning more towards killer tho.

For me I certainly have when they announced sadako getting nerfed, I know she’s getting adjusted due to the feedback, but that still doesn’t make me excited either way and just hoped she’d stay what she was from the ptb

I was never excited in the first place.

    Sadako remake is kinda meh.

I dislike the Billy remake since it is probably overtuned. Another unloopable killer.

The 3-gen change is in reality another unneccessay killer buff. 8 regressions on a single gen will most likely almost never happen in your games so it is meaningless. I am fine with the gen tap counter which is already a significant killer buff, but why do they have to increase the 2,5% to 5%? Completly out of proportion.

What else do we have? Ah, a survivor, right? Is Alan Wake coming to the Fog with the next update? I am not even sure. Whatever, not interested to much. I dont care for the character nore the perks.

Last but not least, they bring back the Knight. Yeeeeiiii... actually no thanks. Should stay killswitched until the rework him properly.

I agree. There isn't much else BHVR can do at this point.

However, there have been a few suggestions for a chat wheel such as in Dota 2, League of Legends and CS:GO. That would come with some of the perks that SWFs have but way less drawbacks than a voice chat would provide. Combine this with the ability for all survivors to see their team mates' perks during the lobby and during the game and solo queue should be in a better spot.

Overall though, this would not fully bridge the gap between solo queue and SWF. Because the main difference isn't communication but that everyone is on the same page. Meaning, the Nea won't just disconnect (or hook suicide) because the Huntress hit her with a hatchet, the Claudette knows better than to self-care in the same corner for over 40 seconds and the Dwight won't be hiding in lockers for the whole match while Feng uses Lithe to run into the killer.

The problem some might find in showing all the perks is as @Trollinmon mentioned that people will dodge lobbies more frequently because they dont like certaint builds.

I dont really understand what a chatwheel can do for the game. I guess in DBD case it would be more emotes. But frankly, how should that help? Unless we are talking about across the map, which should not be in the game, since it is destroying the core design philosophy of DBD as a whole.

I agree on the last part. It is much less likely that survivors give up when they know each other and are in a party. Nothing we can do about this.
