YEP I get it you don't like it but dear god can you at least tell me what I'm allowed to play

I'm not saying this just as killer but as a surrvivor because I feel like no matter what it feels like no matter what I use its like illegal

    Wanna know my builds

    Litteraly

Discordance and fire up rn on legion (I just p3ed him)

And I play Steve as my surv with second wind camaraderie, kindred open handed (because its fun imo)

Ant yet its just constant complaints

And I don't know what to do anymore.

Just play friendly and fair, then you are good to go.

Not builds or certain killer are the problem, but rather players who try to ruin the fun of others.

  • Of course they will nerf Undying sooner or later, but i hope after the nerf it will be still playable. I like the metashift and i like to see more diversity in the game.

To be fair, the folks who post here on the forums are a very small percentage of the entire dbd player population. Putting the survey on the actual game will get them better numbers to make an informed decision.

Sure thing and nothing wrong with what you said, but why do they even have to ask this questions in first place? I am not talking about the forum, i mean in general. Just be a random player, play the game a few hundred hours (hopefully devs all have), get 100 red moris, play 100 games super sweaty and use them and then see how many times you win and how much rage you will harvest at endgame chat.

I am not a fortune teller, but i know you will most likely will almost all of your 100 games and you will get a lot of rage. So now again, why do we have to ask the community if Mori are okay?

And keys aswell. Have you ever lost against a key? Every killer knows that feeling when i happens, you play a good round, you deserve a few kills and then they escape with a key they found in a chest. Whats so difficult to understand that this is not fine, im sorry but i dont get that.

  • @Gay Myers (Luzi) said:

The dev team is not ignoring the community - there are many things that they want to add that to the game and it can't be just done with one finger snippit. It takes time and thinking about it.

They do care and they definitely don't want the game to die. Some devs are active on the forums, explaining balance changes and they do read what users say. Things users say are taken into consideration, but sometimes changes you want to see won't be added to the game and sometimes some changes simply just can't be done quick as a lighting and they take some time to implement.

Also to the comments about the cosmetic store: The art department is not related to the balance team. They're two different teams and both are working on the game, just in different ways.

I dont really think anbody believes the Devs are ignoring the community, but i do think many people might question if they actually understand their own game. I lost a lot of faith when i had to do the survey tbh. Some stuff was very strange, like are they really asking us if we think Mori or Key are fine?

  • Slugging is fine. There is Unbreakable, you can heal up to 95%... sometimes killer has to do it to even stand a chance.

  • @DeluxePackage said:

Personally I like the Morissette, they are my favorite part of the game. If you know the killer is using a miri offering you better do a better job at not getting caught. There are a lot of things that feel unfair about the game, thats just how it goes. Ive had killers tunnel me and face camp me and I realize its just part of the game and how some people play. There is no rule book telling us what we can and can't do, we just gotta deal with stuff we don't like sometimes

So, imagine you verse a killer with a Mori every time from now on. He is tunneling and camping you for the rest of your life, every single game you play. Would you still have the same standpoint? You still stay there and tell some bullshit about rulebooks and accepting things for whatever ######### reason?

On the contrary I have done just fine in those games - the problem comes down to whether or not Survivors on your team take the time to search out the totems to do them or try to ignore them and complete as many gens as they can without having to get off of them too much. I do agree - somewhat - on totem counters as mentioned by others, but at the same time I feel like a totem counter would make Hexes even weaker than they already are because it'd be too easy to monitor totems on the Survivor's end. Sure it helps solo, but at some point the game has to quit balancing around solo-players in a multi-player game.

As for adapting - Killers have adapted to DS and Unbreakable -- we slug you until the timer runs out on DS if we suspect you have it (and Survivors complain about it being "useless" because they don't get to use it), or we slug you and then hook you or monitor you in case we suspect Unbreakable.

I am not saying i wont have done fine aswell, but i do think it can be a really unfair perk often. Against a coordinated SWF it might not be that big of a deal in my opinon, but not everyone is playing with a group of friends. And imagine this on mid-low ranks... this must be really extremly hard to verse. They often dont even know the totem spawns very well so good luck getting rid of ruin 4 times...

  • Since i main Ash, Claudette Steve and Ace,i must be a "Reasonable NoMither Sweatcrutchlord".

I wouldn't call Moris the BNP equivalent, a closer comparison would be the key. Both end the game directly rather than BNP simply speeding it up. So I would not say they nerfed the mori equivalent.

Im talking about the old BNP where you could instantly repair a gen with one click. thats pretty close to a mori.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/195886/why-does-it-take-4-years

I've been playing for about a year and I've been mori'd after first hook twice. I play both survivor and killer. If they nerf ebony moris the way you want then SWF comms need to be disabled. Out of all the complaints I read that and the toxicity that a lot of survivors seem to bring into every game means ebony moris should still be a choice.

Most killers I've played against and have spoken to only Mori toxic survivors. I've been in tons of games where I was the only one not mori'd and I'll message after and ask why. It's always "you weren't toxic bro" yet whenever I decide to give killer a chance it's the same teabag, flashlight, lure me into multiple head ons that after 4 games I go back to solo on survivor.

I've never seen a community complain this much about practically everything it's like do you even enjoy the game? You get mori'd after first hook, hypothetically 7 minutes say go by. With cross play u get games immediately. It's a game, you're that mad you didn't escape? I'm not the best survivor in the world and tunneling can be annoying but the toxic behavior is the biggest plague I've seen in this community and the biggest issue imo. I read these posts every day of people quitting.

I don't get why people just can't play without being miserable at home. This is my first time ever bothering to comment. It'll never be enough for some of yous. Nerf ebony, nerf hex undying even tho detectives hunch and maps counter it and I'm at 99 games for survivor for every 1 game of killer. Nerf iridescent shards, nerf nurse, nerf spirit, nerf ph, nerf all killer aura reading abilities, nerf noed. It'll never be enough.

Honestly after that "twice" statement, i should not even bother answering you because you are either just lying or rank 20 where killer dont even have Moris, but just for the record, today i died 5 times, 5 times against a Mori. Yes, just today, and it is no unusual.

Oh and so you understand: Yes its okay if you would get morid like every now and then, but trust me it gets on your nerfed when it is happening constantly. I am not exaggerating here - in at least 50% of my games i see either a green or a red mori.

  • Its fine. Next please.

  • 1) Diversion is trash. 45 Seconds in killer terror raduis for THAT?

    2) Deliverance is good, even better in SWF.

    3) Autodidact is on of my favourite perks but its trash. If games would be longer, this perk might be really strong, but at the current meta, i think its just bad.

It definitely is way more killer sided but not as much as a few months ago

Of course the number of killer mains here is lower now because Devs are pumping out nothing else but Killer buffs and surivivor nerfs since a long time. Only delusional killer mains would ever claim that the recent changes were survivor sided. Even SpaceCoconut is running out of ideas.

  • Badham is alright, but McMilian looks so far really terrible. RIP

I am not a fan of the new graphic overal because i think the game needs better gameplay and not better looks. Focus on that..

  • @azame said:

I find it very hard to believe the devs are "survivor sided" or have a "survivor bias." I get killers need buffs and some killers need reworks but damn stuff on the killer side needs nerfs as well. 1 nerf does not mean the devs care more about the survivors.

I'm going to keep making this point until it sticks. Since patch 2.0 it's been a nerf for survivors nearly every patch. How is that survivor bias? The pop nerf I dont think its needed but it makes sense. The devs have to rework ds not just decrease the timer thats why it wasnt changed yet.

One more thing if the devs are really all for survivors why have all items and add ons excluding fire crackers, keys and their addons(soon to be nerfed) been nerfed?

    That's all.

I'm making this edit because people also say the devs are killer sided if they so something in favor of killers. So my new conclusion is if you say the devs are bias towars any side you are very much wrong.

You do realise this forum is Killermain City, do you? So.. of course according to the majority here, the devs are all survivor mains who hate Killer and it does not matter what you say about that, it wont change.

I mean we had serious discussions here about which side they nerfed and buffed more in the last 12 months so...

Did you actually read my post or are you just speaking out of hot-button anger.

Never once did I state that you are wrong for wanting them to be nerfed. All I said was you come across as very disingenuous when you act like moris have never been touched.

I read it and i understand what you mean. I am also not angry by any means, but it is annoying that they need years to fix something that obvious. And it is indeed furstrating to see that they even need a survey to MAYBE fix Moris. I mean come on ######### is there really any living soul out there who thinks mori are ballanced?

  • I get it, that Enduring is good against unsafe pallets, but why use it on Wraith? Seems to me a bad choice compared to other killers.

  • @bubbabrotha said:

Ikr? People just want the same old counter play, and they don't want to switch up their play style.

    Counters to seemingly uncounterable killers:

Deathslinger: Tiny terror radius? You have e y e s. Afraid of his zoning? Call his bluff. Or just juke his shot. People forget his bullet has travel time, and a big ol' BOOM sound effect.

Spirit: Stealth. If you don't want to be in a chase with her, don't.

Well, kind off, but is it the peoples fault the game does not offer more interesting stuff? Dont blame the people, blame the devs for not giving survivors more fun options.

  • @MeltingPenguins said:

    ... is knowing your tropes.

Lbr, every killer in the game embodies a type of horror/slasher archetype (if they are not outright said archetype). And this is where, at least on paper, their counterplay stems from.

    Take spirit:

She IS meant to be the vengeful ghost, so the intended counterplay is to hide and keep quiet when you hear the sorrowful moaning on the wind. issue is simply people don't play her like that.

The counterplay is always there, and it could be great fun, if people would just embrace the tropes instead of playing every killer the same.

I mean, we know what you are saying, but hiding/stealth is (for many) not a lot of fun.

On top of that, calling stealth solid counterplay is questionable at best. Sure, it might work from time to time, but it is not in your hand if the killer finds you or not.

Undying and Ruin both are perfectly fine. The problem is Survivors - they don't want to adapt or change their meta-playstyle at all to accommodate the increase focus in doing totems; and the increasedd caution to be taken in case Undying is there because the aura reading. They want to, literally, continue just "Oh look a totem" while running around; run up to it and break it; and go on with their generators or killer-trolling.

With Undying and other hexes now, their precious 'trolling time' is taking a hit to actively look for totems and so they're all throwing a giant fit about it. They're not used to having to actively work on two objectives and not just ######### with the killer the entire match with their clicky-clicky, teabagging annoyances.

It has nothing to do with survivors not adapting. Those arguments are always silly, i mean i could also say that to killer about DS and Unbreakable. so please stop that.

About topic: It takes to long to get them out of the way. Undying should have 2 tokens and loose 1 token for every cleansed totem. Games where all 5 totems have to be cleansed to get rid of ruin are almost unwinable.

I get they're a frustrating element in the game I'm just saying when you act like not a single thing has been done about it from the beginning it makes your point seem a little bit disingenuous.

They got nerfed, so? What would that do?

How is this not obvious that Moris are the most op thing in the game? Why do we need a survey for that? Isnt that extremly obvious?

  • @Maperson said:

Devs said they are fixing Moris and Keys, as for killers, you can't blame people that want to play the killer that has a good chance of beating very good coordinated team.. Because other killers are much below them..

Kinda disagree on this one. The Family estate is HUGE and provides lots of foliage to hide on top of a lot of safe pallets and jungle gyms. It´s fine for high mobility Killers that are also good in chase. For the others (17+) not so much.

The same applies to Sanctum, yet it´s considerably smaller. Hence it´s more balanced, imo.

Very low ammount of pallets, some are extemly unsafe. High 3 gen potential. Killer friendly middle. Very killer sided map

  • @Volfawott said:

Mori did get nerf before they never required a hook it was legitimately right after you down someone they're pretty much dead.

You don't even know that moris have been changed do you? Also you should maybe understand that other people have diffrent priorities also next time use the search function, we litteraly had a discussion about this yesterday or so. By the way as survivor you still have a chance to make it out of the game even when a mori played and being tunneled. In addition to that they said they are working on it or something like that, so be a big boy and be patient.

Really, did the devs mentioned anywhere they will fix moris? Maybe i missed that, so if thats the case, then this thread can be closed. Would you be so kind and post a link?

  • @musefan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1658558#Comment_1658558

I am not saying I like them, I just don't care that they exist.

In the end, unless somebody has a trophy or challenge to get, moris are used by toxic players who want to annoy others (and it obviously works).

However, take moris away and you will still have those same toxic players. They will still tunnel/camp you because they have no interest in a fair game. So you will still be on the forums complaining about those toxic people. It will just be a different thing you complain about.

And lets be honest, survivors have plenty of equivalent options to end games fast at the expense of the killers fun. They are just as toxic too.

The problem isn't moris, the problem is with getting matched up with ######### toxic players that just want to take their "bad mood" out on someone to help them feel better.

That's just one of the downsides of online gaming unfortunately.

Why dont you care about inballanced stuff? Ballance is a big part of probably everyones fun in the game, no matter on which side you play. You are either new to the game or one of the really rare persons who enjoy getting tunneled out of the game super quick. No matter what it is, why should then you opinion berelevant on a topic like this? You dont care anyway, so... ?

Also in general, you arguement that i should stop playing the game because i dont like Mori is just silly, but i am not in the mood to explain you why i dont leave my wife just because she has 1-2 flaws (yet i have the right to tell her and hope she makes it better soon)

Yes, Moris are used by toxic players. Unfortunatly, more then half of my games i face are appently against Moris. Its so easy to get Moris, in almost every 2nd bloodweb i get a green or red one.

I dont care if survivors have "equivalent" options, its about moris. But so that i have said it: NO there are not any. A key is not equivalent, neither is any perk or survivor offering.

"The problem isnt moris but the people" ... sooo you suggestion is what? Change the poeple and leave Moris?

The problem is that people have no patience and expect everything to be done the second they rage about it.

4 YEARS is all what i say.

  • @musefan said:

If you dont like it stop playing the game, and the same to everyone else.

If the problem is a big as you claim, then the player base will drop quickly and they will fix it straight away.

They are hardly going to listen to people on the forums who are clearly just venting after having a bad game.

They put they survey out. If moris are as hated as you claim then they will get changed in due time.

Thanks for this constructive argument musefan. What makes you think moris are fine?

  • @MrLimonka said:

I mean technically, moris were even worse back then - you could mori survivors right after you downed them.

I fully agree though. I don't understand why after 4 years of game development moris still exist in the current form.

Yes i know that, and BNP also got nerfed like 3 times, which was always reasonable. So i am wondering, why not Mori, For sure they can not think they are ballanced the slightest. If there would be any issues that are worse then Mori, i could understand, but beside bugs, there are not any.

  • Oh and by the way, this is not a rhetorical question. Can we get an answer to this @Peanits @Almo @not_Queen ? Cant you decide within 4 years what to do with a gamebreaking offering? Dont you agree that it is gamebreaking?

    Thank you.

  • Babysitter just dont do it for me, its a fun perk and it may help you a bit when you are in a SWF and you teammates are new to the game, but even then Borrowed time of We'll make it are better options.

Camaraderie is normally just a waste of a perkslot, unless you are in a SWF, but even then, you almost never get value out of it. But i have to admit i ran this perk only a handful of times so far, so i should not judge.

I actually like Second Wind and i use it from time to time with success. Its a little bit of an underrated perk in my opinion.

Nobody who is decent hates Doctor. The only thing that people dislike about him are "Discipline Carters notes" and "Discipline Class II" because they break looping.

  • @Bard said:

If somebody brings up how it's literally just impossible for a killer B-tier or lower to win against a good survivor team, y'all start moaning about how "Well actually most survivors aren't like that! Not every SWF is seal team six, so BT/DS/DH/Unbreakable are fine."

...and then in the same breath you'll say that Nurse, Spirit, Deathslinger, and Pyramid have zero counterplay because the best players on those killers can remove your options.

I'm sorry, no. You don't get to have that both ways.

If we're balancing survivors around the pepegas who can't do skill checks and run into a wall every eight seconds, you don't get to balance killers around the assumption that everybody who picks Deathslinger is a member of Faze Clan with pregognition.

    1. stop running your second chance perks and get something that actually tells you if the killer's approaching, be it spinechill, ooo or anything like that. run kindred
    2. pay attention to your surroundings.
    3. stealth. seriously, show us your sneaking skills.
    4. know your gens. genspeed/strategical gen popping IS counterplay against low pressure/mobility killers.

to argue 'but the game rewards chases' is faulty logic: by now there are perks that work against the current 'rewards' (e.g. PWYF) so the statement is outdated

    1. I run spine chill most of the time, but how does this perk make a chase against quickscopeboy more or less fun?
    2. How does pay attention to you surroundings make a chase against Deathslinger more fun?
    3. How does stealth make a chase against Deathslinger more fun?
    4. How does genrush make a chase against Deathslinger more fun?

You guys simply dont get it. Its not about OP, its not about Genrush, its not about counterplay beside chase... Its only about chases because for most people its the main fun part of it. Without good chase mechanic, playerbase would not be excisting anymore. Without those good chases, nobody would watch this game on twitch or youtube. Chase is all in the game, its the main focus and the most important part by a mile.

  • Hurting my feelings: No

    Annoying: Yes

    Frustrating: Sometimes

  • @MeltingPenguins said:

First up, I know how bait-y this will sound, but I'm genuinely curious:

The main argument against him I keep seeing is how 'he's boring too face' usually with the explanation that you can not have 'interactive chases' against him.

    So, I do wonder:

Facing a killer that requires you to shake up your gameplay is 'boring' while the same routine (chasing, juking, looping, etc) for every killer on every map isn't?

I really don't get the logic here.

Again, I see people argue that 'the chases are the most fun part' as if that is a universal truth, and as if everyone who plays sneakily, gets their objectives done etc is a bad player and not welcome in the community.

That's the impression I am getting each time people call for a massive nerf for Caleb, if not his full removal from the game.

I hate Deathslinger with a passion, so let me give you an honest answer.

For me he is not only boring but also frustrating to face in a chase, because it only comes down to how good the killer is and not not how good killer and survivor are. When i "outplay" a Deathslinger, i dont feel good about it, because i know a better Deathslinger would have got me there. If he outplays me, i just know it was unlucky and thats it. I thought about it how to trick a Deathslinger, but all those tricks still are only options and its only about the Deathsligner if he falls for them or not.

Whats for me confusing is actually your argument "facing a killer that requires you to shake up gameplay is 'boring' " because that is not true. Every killer is different, and every killer forces you to change the way you play, not only Deathslinger. But Deathslinger and also Pyramid Head forces you to play in a way, that is not very intuitive and extremly one-sided. It leaves you to situations where you can not do anything but hope the killer is doing a mistake.

I think that got explained so many times. Those situations where you either get hit the one way or get hit the other way are completly nonsense and make it only fun for one side. Said that, yes it bothers me that people pick a killer knowing that the survivors have a bad time just for their own fun.

1 … 32 33 34 35 36 … 72
