So what did the Devs did in this Patch?

    Buffing Thana (Good)

Fix The Executioner "Loop mindgame" (Good)

Trail of Torment Extrem buff (good)

The other perk buffs (all good, ok not Technician but still)

    Pop Nerf (was maybe needed)

So why do you think the Devs can't belance the game again?

In my Opinion this show us that the devs can and are willing to belance this game for our fun.

People think Devs are bad at their job because most of them are entiteled. No matter what they do and how hard they buff a certain role, its never enough.

Your joking right? Id go and post a entire essay on the problems but otz already did a video on it i suggest you give it a watch.

We are in the middle of that process right now, similar stuff like map changes or insta heal nerfs have been already done. Most of that list will be changed sooner or later, but it would be madness to change that all at once.

Also those changes might sound good on paper, but in reality they would break the game if not executed carefully.

    "Just wraith "

There's your problem. Survivors don't respect Wraith. They have no fear of him. I noticed this when I first started playing the game, if you play a killer than can be looped the chance of tbagging increased by 1000%. Ironically they didn't tbag my clown because they know even if he has no map pressure he's still going to get them in the chase.

"They have no fear of Wraith"

    🤣

Yea like anybody respects or fears Nurse / Spirit. If you want fear and "respect", you need a time machine and go back at least 4 years or drop down to rank 15-20.

  • People who use Spine Chill just to compensate for Vault build simly dont realse the potential of it. I run this perk now for at least 1k hours and its by far the best looping perk, miles ahead of anything else like Dead hard or Iron will.

@TheClownIsKing i hate to say it since it is my favourite perk overall, but you are right with everything sayed, the perk is simply overpowered.

condition? Make that it does not work when you are injured.

If you need some tedious grind to keep you playing the game, you probably don't actually enjoy the game very much. The rift and shard cosmetics exist now if you really need something to work towards.

Seeing as the next update is assigning each perk tier its own rarity, I doubt they're getting rid of perk tiers any time soon. It'd be nice if they'd at least give every character tier 1 of all perks they have unlocked (universal perks and any teachables that have been unlocked). That way you'd at least have all perks available to try out, even if it's their weakest version.

Grinding, collecting, hunting... all of these has been very important columns for human in general. Its what we do all day everyday, its our nature. What you talk about is awareness, but grinding has nothing to do with that. Funny enough the game we both play is all about hunting and collecting.

  • @BlindMole said:

For me it was actually the main reason why i just stopped playing. It is too much of a grind, it just is.

Plus can you imagine how bad it is for new players??

I doubt you and almost everyone else actualy knows why you stoped playing the game.

Yes i can imagine that because i play with new players all the time. I introduced this game to many people so far. None of them ever claimed that the bloodweb is overwhelming and pretty much all of them got all the perks they actually wanted in no time. Just calculate it, its really not that bad.

  • Keep the grind more or less as it is. Maybe make stuff in the bloodweb slightly cheaper (for example instead 7000 for a red, make it 6000 or 2500 for a brown etc)

I know, people hate to grind for their perks, items and addons but as much as you believe you dislike it, it is a very important factor why you still play the game. You just dont realise that.

  • I mean it, wanna bet with me?

Devs have a plan and i am confident enough that they see the problem of DS and other perks (on both sides by the way)

  • The List is getting longer and longer unfortunatly.

    Trapper: Paranoid

    Deathslinger: "Counterplay"

Ghostface: My game might be a bugged version, i cant snap him out at all, no matter what i do. Very frustrating

  • This discussion is 100% unneccessary. Who wants to bet with me that they will change DS within the next 3 months? I bet a steamversion of DBD.

  • Untitled Image

    Please just stop...

Changes has to be done with him OBVIOUSLY and this is the right call on him, just accept it. Also pretty much the same will happen to Deathslinger 100%, so better safe your tears.

Let me look in my cristal ball.. next on the nerf list are:

    • Keys
    • DS (once survivor is doing any action, DS deactivates)
    • Moris
    • Unbreakable (recovery speed nerf)
    • Infectious Fright (cooldown of ~30 seconds)

In red ranks Bubba almost never camp. Hag though very often traps the hook which is sort of camping.

Just to be clear I'm totally fine with camping. It's a strategy like many others in the game.

Then you probably play at the same region as the OP. Where i play, EVERY bubba is camping, at least proxy. If we play SWF and you land in the basement, you will be left for dead until its 100% confirmed Leatherface is for whatever reason on the other side of the map. Its a lot better now since the buff, but it is still awful. Even today, last 2 LF straight camped me with Incidious, my only 2 games i lost btw.

I also think camping is a strategy ofc, but its dirty. I dont get why people do it and what the point is.

  • @ClickyClicky said:

Outside of basement bubba which is extremely rare I have to say a lot of bubba's dont camp. In fact bubba's been weak for a long time so like clown a lot of the people that did use him were pretty good players.

    What region are you playing?

I know that otz and other ones are using it but if they get asked why it's good (or better than other options) they never give a clear answer. They always say something like: "It saves time." Yeah it does , but in my experience less time than another perk would've saved.

I tried it a while, because i wanted a more consistent version of ruin+surveillance. Welp, i'm a good nurse, so most times i downed people the perk was on CD and i was like: "Why not sloppy instead? Or ruin? Or any info perk?"

Does not seem to fit your playstyle then but certainly it wont make it a bad perk as you claim.

  • Leatherface not SS tier? God bless the region where you play.

  • @NursesBootie said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1647251#Comment_1647251

Somehow my brain wrote 60 seconds, maybe because of new dragons grip idk.

I tried it on nurse and was, well, not that impressed. Perks like "Shadowborn" and "I'm all ears" are simply better. Even Ruin+Surveillance is better than "Surge+Surveillance.

Well thats then your opinion, but saying it needs a buff or you get little value out of... idk, sounds strange to me.. kinda like you tried it one game, had not a great experience and left it for good. Might explain the 60/40 second plunder there. No offense, it can happen, but i think it is just a lack of experience in that case.

I dont play this perk all the time, i mix perks a lot, but Surge is certainly a very strong perk for prolonging the game. Also pairs with almost everything, even pop is a great adition. I even had great success with ruin+surge.

Also it seems that more and more well known streamer are finally jumping on the Surge train aswell. I realised that recently, that people like Otz or Goose (2 good killer mains) think highly about it aswell.

  • @xenofon13 said:

This proves nothing. Go to rank 1, play with a good team, and post a screenshot again with your 10k points.

  • @NursesBootie said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1647024#Comment_1647024

Luckily i never use corrupt. Even on trapper and hag it hinders your ability to setup. On oni and myers it's kinda good, but definitly not as strong as people think.

So, 9% regression on a gen if you down a person and the gen is in a 32m radius AND the perk is not on 60 seconds CD. Explain me why this is good.

Why should i even explain that to you, its so easy to understand what this perk + pressure does to gens. Its not only 9%, its a free (or even 3x free kick) with regression aswell and its information too. This perk is amazing. Now just try it on your Nurse, come back later.

Fun fact: Its not 60 seconds, its 40 seconds.

The only kind that exists. Photo evidence of you succeeding with the killer, recently.

Though bluntly it's not hard to stomp noobs with pinky finger in the exact same way it's not hard to stomp noobs with billy. But against competent squads? It's the same. Only idiots or people who don't run spine chill get nailed out in the open by bottle tosses..

Are you serious? Me succeeding with the Clown? How many times? 10 times, 100 times? 1000 times? What would THAT prove anyway?

Also what would a win streak do with the argument that Clown is breadead easy? Throw a bottle in the middle of the loop. Done. Takes a lot of skill..

I play clown on R1 also successuflly and let me tell you my opinion: He is one of the most easy, braindead killer of them all.

Not saying Clown is strong or anything, but claiming that Pinky finger is hard to use makes me think you are not exactly a strong player. Sorry no offense tho.

    Sarcasm?

If not let me explain why it's bad. It got a radius of 32m. You need to down a person to trigger it. It got a 60 seconds CD. Only 9% regression.

The conditions are too harsh. In most cases there's not enough value you get out of the perk to use a perk slot on it.

"let me explain you why its bad" lol... :D

The irony when this comes from somebody who has Nurse in his name 😉

Trust me, Surge is great already, it definitly does not need a buff, rather a nerf. Feels like half a year ago where i tried to convince people Corrupt is one of the best perks and everbody was "explaining me why its bad" and now they run it aswell...

  • The Mori and the Lag hurt you really bad, but you still managed to help your teammates a lot. Good job.

Wait a second, what? Just for info and therefor your personal advantage, Surge is already one of the best killer perks in the game. Give it 2-3 months and its meta.

  • @ClickyClicky said:

The game is catered towards these people. That's an undeniable fact. Hence why any killers they don't like? - nerfed. Perks they don't like? nerfed. Meanwhile the BS maps they send you to remain unchanged, OoO remains unchanged.

If I get these teams I play as toxic as possible too. Your objective isn't to win, it's to suck the fun out of the game for them as much as they do for you. They come in so cocky tbagging with OoO and their Ormond offering then when you camp and tunnel them and hit them on hook it's hilarious watching them dc and rage post game like you were the bad guy. Some people have no self-awareness.

First there are way more survivor nerfs then killer nerfs so forget about that.

Second, what are you talking about maps? Devs are creating more and more killer favoure maps since a year or so, and thats undenyable. And they keep buffing maps for killer obviously. Also undenyable.

And last, if you want to have fun in DbD, the most idiotic 2-3 IQ braindead thing you can possible do is to jump on the toxic train aswell and make the game bad for other people. I mean, even a very stupid person should be able to see the problem with this whishes circle.

"Alright! We got PH nerfed. Now he'll be easy to bully............why am I only seeing spirits?"

Actually it is the opposite. Killer dont realise that playing then the next op killer to death will only nerf that killer aswell. Same with those "I bring mori now every game, while i make an angry face by doing it!!!!" people - please, bring moris and show devs that moris are op too.

  • @Moxormog

You keep nerfing and destroying killers each patch.

Nothing but buffs for killers since ages. Stop lying.

I'm so over doing a barely 1 minute chase in the beginning of the match to have two gens pop off because I don't have corruption or using ruin (When it doesnt get cleansed in the first 30 seconds).

Play better. Cool advise from me: Play survivor to get better as killer. Know your enemy.

You've literally ruined huntress. Every other game I am having hatchets that are not connecting when it clearly hits the survivor (with a blood splash)?????

    ??? Stop spreading lies.

The amount of idiotic sound bugs that makes it nearly impossible to track survivors or when gens are being worked on.

Terrible for both sides. Had games where i could not hear terror radius as survivor at all.

almost 2k hours as a killer but I can't handle the amount of abuse and disregard Behavior has towards its killer playerbase.

Completly redicilous. all they do is buffing killer on every front.

But, hey, at least you have your 2-3 killer main streams in a sea of [BAD WORD] survivor streamers on Twitch.

There are many killer mains on twitch, stop exaggerating.

Survivors, you keep wondering why your que times are so long?...

Do you really have to wonder??????

    Killer queue time: ~1-2 minutes

    Survivor Queue time: 5-10 seconds

Yes, right, survivor quese are the problem...

If you would play Survivor every once in a while you would not embarrass yourself with your lack of knowledge.

  • What do you mean with neutral? I play both sides all the time pretty much equaly but according to people on this forum, i am a survivor main (on some days a killer main tho lolz) because i disagree with many killer main opinions.

Its about opinions, experience and a debate, nothing more nothing less. Honestly it would be really boring if everybody had the same to say and everbody would just quietly accept it, even if disagree.

Anyway, thumbs up for your nice posting, we dont have to go onto each others gargle all the time because we dont agree with each other.

  • This topic again....

YES he is op in chase

    YES his mobility sucks

NO, he is not Overpowered in general.

Kill rates are so high because most survivors are terrible at the game. I can pretty regularly 4K even with killers that i’m not good with.

As for wiggling, sure, DS will catch if they are close, but in many situations, they can still be safe.

Oh yea sorry i forgot. Killer are the masterrace and survivors are all noobs. Very impressive argument again...

No they can not be safe. When you wiggle constantly, you are dead, its just free space for Deathslinger. Nothing to argue about.

    @Zozzy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1633198#Comment_1633198

    Kill stats are meaningless.

Survivors often throw the game after the gens are done and the gates are 99 to save the random acquaintance they met on line and added to their friends list.

Surviving is optional, 99% of the time they already have their pip.

So are killers when they realise they are getting crushed. Those arguments are just silly tbh.

  • @woundcowboy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1632786#Comment_1632786

Oh I read carefully. The fact is that most killers don’t have an advantage in chase because there are too many safe tiles.

I don’t care how good you are with DS, you can’t do anything except guess which way they will wiggle. Unless there is someone who can move the spear mid shot, it’s not happening lol.

Is that so? Then why exactly do killer have 70-80% winrate again? You say everyting like its a fact, but obviously, it is not like that.

You only guess? You know what a good Deathslinger would do against someone who is wiggeling all the time? He walks up to him and kills him. Thank me later for that pro tip.

  • @woundcowboy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1629644#Comment_1629644

The fact that you think survivors should just be invincible at “safe spots” and that they should be able to dictate mindgames shows your bias. THAT is not actually having counterplay.

also about DS: how is wiggling not counterplay? He has to predict where the survivor will wiggle because even though the spear is fast, it has travel time. That is a mindgame in itself

DS is my alt, and I can tell you that even when my shots are on point, I lose far more games with him than Nurse. He has no map control. ALL killers should be able to down fast because this is a 4v1 game; killers should have an advantage in chase.

I never said they should be invincible, but i said there has to be relative safty for survivors (by the way same that there has to be everywhere else a secure hit). I explained how and why it is important, that you cant understand it only shows your lack of understanding of the actual design of the game. There is and should not be any room for discussion here, because changing that monumental factor would simply kill the game. It is not me beeing biased, it is a fact you are not able to realise that because you only hear "safety" and you dont understand what i mean with that. You just get angry over something that is crucial for the game because you draw the wrong conclusions.

Why is wiggling no counterplay? Because it does nothing. From a balance standpoint, your skill as Deathslinger and the skill as survivor should be irrelevant. Someone missing a shot because the survivor is not running in a straight line has nothing to do with ballancing the killer neither has it anything to do with counterplay. It is like saying "hey the nurse is fine because there are many shity nurse players". If i play against a perfect Deathslinger and i run away and wiggle, he still gets 100% hit.

When your shots are on point you sill sometimes loose games? Of course you do because Deathslinger is not strong outside a chase. I never said he is op, but again, you draw the wrong conclusions.

Killers should have the advantage in a chase? If you read carefully what i actually wrote, you would not doubt that they have..

  • @RizeAki said:

On release people were complaining that he has no indicator or Cooldown when aiming and shooting and all that unlike huntress and they said that is the point of him and he won’t be changed plus he isn’t over powered in any way he is very balanced strong 1v1 weaker side on the 4v1 to balance it out

I highly doubt that. All i can remember is they said they will look into him and dont judge immediatly, but thats pretty much it. I can not remember anybody saying anything what you claim. You have a link?

  • I think the next one will be Clown or Wraith. Both of them will get a buff of some kind just like Leatherface. Only then they will (and for christs sake they SHOULD!!) rework that stinker. Cant wait for the Day he gets his treatment.

Everyone saying Deathslinger has no counterplay seems incapable of using their frigging eyes and common sense:

Okay, i do main Caleb, but it's the same on survivor side: know what he can shoot through/over/across. I dunno how often I had purple and red rank survivors trying to duck behind things i could shoot through/over/across and then complain.

Meanwhile I did manage to run a deathslinger long enough for 2 1/2 gens to pop until he decided to just give chase and m1 me. and I suck at running killers.

Ah yea i alsor ran a Deathslinger for 5 gens recently. Guess he is fine!

Seriously HOW can there be still people who think they dodge Deathslinger... Is it really so hard to understand that you can not dodge his shot?

  • @Zozzy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1629698#Comment_1629698

But it is not essential for the killer to have any input other than run counter clockwise and break the pallet. ok i get it, replace the killers with bots.

If you give ds a cooldown on canceling his aim or a wind up to shooting, survivors will just enter spaz out mode like they do to huntress. The difference is Huntress has truck sized hatchets while ds has a pin sized harpoon that is easy to miss when a survivor reacts.

No you dont get it, neither i have the feeling you are even trying to understand it. It is essential that survivors can show their skill and so is it for killer. If you leave it to one side alone who wins a chase, its totally uninteresting.

  • @Zozzy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1629644#Comment_1629644

Why should a survivor be safe?

Why are loops with NO COUNTERPLAY FOR THE KILLER good, when breaking the pallet basically guarantees you reach the next loop with the way these maps have been designed?

Why do they need safety? Thats a very odd question my friend. Because it is essential for the game. What pointless mess would it be without the option for survivors to be safe? Thats why people think Nurse Pyramid Head and Deathslinger are unfun to go against. Because there is little you can do as survivor, and i already wrote in detail why that is.

  • @NursesBootie said:

You manage to have long chases as killer...are you rank 15?

I mean, long is relative ob course. But we are talking about 30-60 seconds "long".. not 10 seconds chases like Nurse or Deathslinger.

No i am rank 1 since week 2 i started this game. I am the guy who is the carry in your team and the killer you are here complaing about.

  • @Zozzy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1629581#Comment_1629581

Everyone keeps saying "counterplay" From what i can tell this means that the survivor must be at fault regardless of the killers skill. I have even heard that some people say that there should be enough "counterplay" that a DS with aimbot can miss.

Huntress is heavily map dependent and also got obliterated in the tournament.

Well.. thats a good question and i think you are not totally wrong with your assumption but also not right :D. Lets talk about counterplay for a second. This might read a bit complicated, so better read carefully :P

Lets use for example a loop with a pallet. When the survivor manages to reach the pallet, he is temporary safe - he achieved his safty. The killer failed to catch him before he can reach the loop. But the killer had a fair chance to get the survivor before the loop.

So now lets say the surviivor managed to reach his safe place, most killer can challange this safty i talk about. Hillbilly, Huntress, Demogorgon, Blght, Trapper, etc.. all have that in some form. But against all those killers, the survivor has some sort of play and a choice when he is at his safe spot. It is usually in the survivors hand if he gets caught by a billy when he stays at his SAFE spot (the pallet, the loop).

So far, the ballance is fine. The killer had the chance to get the survivor before he reaches the safe spot without any chance of the survivor to defend himself. And then he had the chance that the survivor does a mistake when he is at his safe spot.

Now, lets assume this is not the case. Lets talk about when there is no real safe spot for survivor. Nurse and Spirit dont have any advantage before you reach the safe spot as survivor, but they have full control when the survivor is at his safe place.

What Nurse makes her broken at a "safe place", makes Deathslinger broken when not beeing at a pallet. He can zone the survivor from his needed safe Haven.

Pyramid Head has the same as Deathslinger more or less, he makes everything unsafe. Running to the loop is unsafe, beeing at the loop is unsafe, droping the pallet is double unsafe.

Both PH and Deathslinger have the ability to simply deny the safe spot at all. They have free zone potential with faking the ability during chase. The notorious "get hit or get hit" situation with both of those killers when running to the safe spot make them so unfun to play against.

  • Maybe, i heard my region has the strongest.

  • @xerav said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1629531#Comment_1629531

This is the part i dont understand.... Deathslingers biggest downside is the reeling mechanic cuz it eats so much time unless its point blank. Good Survivor can waste more time by clinching into Terrain (Swf can run between to break the chain or just take the hit and deny a down).

So if at all its unfun for the Deathslinger to land a shoot and in worst case get nothing from it.

It seems a Killer is only fun when you can run circles with him and he cant do anything about it...

It seems a killer is only fun when you can run circles with him... Well, a killer is only fun when you have a good chase with counterplay. I am not part of Scotts Army but he is absolitly right what he said about that. Survivors want to use their skill and experience..

Is this really so hard to understand? Also.. dont blame the people, blame the devs for how little they gave survivors to work with.
