I think legion is boring because his power is to wound you and catch up with you later. Also his power is always used to camp or get to 3v1 and it's just the same strat over and over. Same with huntress and Freddy they all play a certain way and after you've seen it done a hundred times you feel like well I died to that again or I escaped from that again. The way to play them is just too linear.
-
The only reason I do the totems exclusively now in solo is not at all because these perks are good but because everyone is running around like a chicken with their head cut off if ruin is up. OK ruin is gone we can settle done now? Panic by daylight for this past month I swear.
-
Tit for tat
Your legs are tired, your mind is numb, all the pallets are gone and no gens are done.
If you have been in chase for an accumulation of 2 minutes and there is a survivor that has not touched a gen, they die and you are given a endurance buff.
-
For survivors: lone survivor
For killers: tinkerer
-
If you believe a perk is being played all the time against you wouldn't you play in a way that counters it thereby limiting it's effect and making it less playable? There are perks (whispers and lightborn) that are much more crutchy because of the lack of counters in scenarios the killer will force.

when you are actually facecamping you should start at 5 gens... thats the best method. They need the points and pips so they will come and unhook.
No they don't. They only come because they don't want to play gen simulator. If they never save the person match after match then the game dies.
-
And the only strategy the survivors have if there is no obsession is sit on gens and the survivor kills himself in spite of their only strategy.
-
Trapper is garbage if survivors avoid the traps and with dead hard the mainstay in many survivors builds he is hard countered pretty much always.

Thanks but i really dont want to change perks because of a new killer. Perks should not be the solution ever.
Well, i have no problem with slugging, but with this specific killer who can zoom around with 150%+ MMS he can down everyone within seconds, especially b ecause he sees the bloodtrails.
I tried to pair up and do exactly what you suggested, but they never understand whats going on and why it is a good thing to do. In SWF its a different story but i have problems playing solo.
In dbd perks are the only solution.
-
Hawkins and midwich and Haddon field.
Survivors legit vanish while you're looking at them.
You need a perk to fix problems you're having so you can't run anything diverse.
Breakable walls added more god loops.
The killer I main, doctor bugs console survivors so 1,or 2 DC and I'm left to kill them or farm. So I just want to leave but I cant because I will get a DC penalty.
-
Going against Old Billy exclusively got a 5 every match and since he was changed I no longer use it.
-
Killer is one of the survivors, we have to lock him in a locker till he cools off.

Yes it sucks if you are the hooked one but a killer is heavily punished if the others do gens. He will not do it again soon.
Haha haha sure they will definitely not just master camping better. Here's what the killers will do camp to get to a 3v1and then camp to get to a 2v1 and down the others with bitter murmur noed. That's the evolution of killers learning from losing while camping. They don't just magically go the route survivors want. They go where they feel most comfortable.
-
Friday the 13th. Jason with a terror radius only in chase, ki ki ki MA MA MA as the radial theme when he's nearby. Jason can mori survivors that have been hooked, there is a shotgun and four slugs spread over the map to stun him for hook saves.
Tommy Jarvis or Reggie as survivor.
-
Just foot race Victor to the opposite side of the map and hope there's a friend to kick Victor and get you off the ground before she comes. If not then bring unbreakable for a month or so. Maybe less, the discovery rate of this killer is already less than 10% for me.
Do not go down or get hit by that lady in the middle of the map getting hooked in a central part of the map or allowing her to park there gives this killer double the map pressure of all killers.
I kinda wish you could knock her weapon out of her hands when she's just standing there.. she's not very interactive or interesting standing around like an empty shell.

I agree with OoO, but infectious fright is a mixed bag imo. That perk can really screw over killers who overestimate their own abilities, so I don't think it can be abused much.
I second, or third or whatever the count is, remove OoO from survivors. My second pick is Spine chill; spine chill just needs a rework, perk is too damned strong.
For killer, remove monstrous shrine and unrelenting. They're pure garbage.
Oni, nurse, tuft of hair Myers don't want infectious fright removed, killers that don't need this info mind you but you're dumb not to run it. I never see it used successfully at rank 1 by anyone else. Maybe Spirit and Freddy again killers that don't need it but can sure utilize it if they do so desire. Sure you can pop on calm spirit and call it a day but call me crazy I want to scream when I'm hooked.
-
Object of obsession, too much power for already powerful survivors.
Infectious fright, too much power for already powerful killers.
-
This is the only reason ds will ever and should be nerfed. You've got 4 minutes of invincibility on one side and the only counter is to bring the most powerful killers and builds. Devs say they try to avoid power creep but this is power creep.
-
Getting to the hook save at the last fraction of a second and survivor doesn't let go. Even if we both died I died giving them another shot and I'm OK with that.
-
I stay for a challenge, I move on if the game makes me feel like all players are frustrated and it sadly has been this way for a couple chapters.
-
Yes because you only ever run a map to further enhance your build which is stupid strong when you consider no power oni and vigil balanced landing swf teams.
Furthermore, there should be a cheaper new offering where you choose what map you don't want to play on.
-
Face camping and hacking away at someone on the hook is generally frowned upon and don't be surprised if survivors retaliate with all the bm they've come to master just for this one chance you've provided them cut loose.
Tunnelling is also a challenge most survivors have faced one time or another and will do everything and use everything they can to survive it. So I don't recommend targeting one specific person, instead..
Target the gens and you'll be surprised at how survivors will turn on each other more because they never pressure the gens at a coordinated pace and will have their gripes with one another instead of you.
If a swf with comms is involved all manners are off the table go ham and have no shame in your play.
-
Killer: BBQ because 4 stacks equals fun for me. But because BBQ is obvious, discordance because gen rushers fresh off the hook gotta die.
Loud survivors: iron will
Quiet survivors: inner strength
-
I've run spine chill in 80 to 90 percent of my matches over the past 2 years for 2 reasons: the killer never does anything that counters it and I don't have to rely on exhaustion perks to maintain a safe distance from all the killers.
It pairs very well with adrenaline at the end of the game and the fast vaults get that little extra at the end to shrug off the phantom hits.
Not a perk for everybody seeing as the info spine chill provides requires a bit of experience against alot of different killers in regards to what choices you have in a chase but once you've used it for awhile you'll never want to play without it.
If there was a killer counterpart it would be whispers just because there is so little the opposing party can do to avoid the plays and actions the perk provides.
-
I play on PS4 and with crossplay on the soloq experience is significantly worse than with crossplay off. I think these really bad players are across all platforms but seeing as matchmaking was deleted at the same time as crossplay enabled the easiest excuse is to blame console players and ignore the fact that bad players ever existed on your platform in the first place.
-
The rift has caused me to grind more than before and when it's all over I'm so fed up with it all that I'm not even enjoying what I've unlocked in the grind. Leaving me to question why I did all that and why I will do it again when more content is released. This constant bhvr giving taking and giving can consume the player. I hope they lessen the grind somewhere because no way can they just keep piling it on right?
-
I wish someone would've told me to pay attention to the red light in front of killer, the more you can avoid it the longer the match will last and your survival odds increase with how long you can keep the chase music in your rear. I wish new players could get this information in a tutorial 5 years ago.
-
I envy rainbow colored matchmaking lately all I have with crossplay on is doo doo brown with a little red in it. And killer in this match is always always unrelenting. Wake me when it's over but for now crossplay off.
-
Op, I would love to cleanse a totem but the amount of suicides on hook bc I'm on a totem has imprisoned me to gens and hook saves.
-
If a survivor goes back to a gen or stays at a hook after their first or second hook then he or she deserves to die. Predicting a survivor is easy and killer would like it if you slowed your roll, if you are disrespectful why should killer be nice? At the same time legion or any killer that has tracking powers to find you no matter what you're up to, to tunnel you out, is a pretty scummy way to play. But still we have to just assume all killers will do this and work to get out.
-
My question is, are killers able to disconnect everyone in the lobby and give them the penalty when things aren't going their way? Because my penalty is getting up there with only the convenient disconnections from survivor success.
-
Not getting drawn into playing like a boosted animal to have fun but still having fun is a win condition, but also, if I can heal and save teammates and get out alive with others, this is a personal win as well.

Survivors don't need a DS buff with it being basekit, even if it now deactivates when working on a gen that would be a buff to it for simply being basekit.
Less of a buff to survivor and more of a Nerf to the ez 3v1. It's also my dream so welcome to my dream, man.
-
No add ons on doctor, BBQ, enduring, brutal strength, bamboozle
Don't use power just hunt them down and get your stacks then kill however you deem appropriate to you having fun. I usually give the last guy some shock therapy till he finds hatch.
-
Ds basekit once per match use, freeze timer in chase, delete timer on objectives. #nomorenoobsession

I just don't see any sense in it.
Why are you trying to unhook yourself when a survivor is within 10 feet?
The only possible explication is toxicity.
I don't help toxic teammates.
It's to trick the killer into thinking they kobied or it's to imagine the disappointment a player is feeling if they succeed.
Op, just unhook them, in the off chance they are somehow rescued all they will do is retaliate even further.
The answer to what you see as toxicity is not more toxicity if toxicity is what you're trying to avoid.
-
It promotes camping and slugging, for sure. But I do not see it as toxic I see it as boring. The new killer promotes boring gameplay. Toxic gameplay is teaming, sandbagging and using exploits to win among other things not considered normal gameplay.
-
Slugging usually happens after unhooks so fast healing and get out of the area perks are great.
We'll make it, sprint burst are prime candidates
We're going to live forever is good in a way that isn't written on the perk description. If you take a hit for someone you are going to get 25% extra blood points. So this might motivate your otherwise unmotivated stealthy behind to jump in when someone is about to die.
I do not recommend going for builds to counter slugging and only slugging unless you're comfortable in games where you have no perks. I recommend always bring 1 or 2 that you are very comfortable falling back on.
-
What is the purpose of dead zones other than to catch already struggling new players wandering around them?

I usually just want to move on to the next game if one or two people DC right away. My killer queue times are instant, I don't want to farm around for a while
This. It is really hard to remain interested when someone dcs or does something that helps killer. After you've won 99% of your 3v1 games as killer it is clear indication that the game wasn't intended to be played that way. That being said something has to be done about slugging in 3 or 2 v 1s. Someone left early just slug/camp a guy. They are bound to group up either to heal or open a gate.
-
Op, i really like your ideas for sole survivor and monstrous shrine. Two perks definitely lacking in usefulness ATM.
If I could rework a perk like that for survivor I would go with OoO all survivors see the aura of the obsession while the obsession with OoO is being chased if the OoO user is not the obsession, the OoO user sees the aura of the obsession at all times. Creates an obsession with decreased chance of becoming obsession.
For killer I would give some love to unrelenting for every new chase you start you gain a token up to 8 stacks every token increases movement speed while not in a chase by .2 and you lose 2 tokens when you down a survivor. This would make it so if you lose a survivor you've got speed to get to other places.
-
As survivor all maps are fine. map selection to enhance your build is not fine and the most abused map I see this for is Lerys.
As killer i hate Hawkins because of the walls that go on forever reminds me of waiting in an amusement park line. Haddonfield has these as well as midwich. Are these long walls fun for anyone not using object of obsession?

Very nice argument!
So much talk about the killer dodging survivors over items and cosmetics ect, yet survivor has no idea what killer you playing.
Some sweaty swf with flashlights might scare the killer, which is silly because the killer has weapons.
Survivors showing killers what bravery is, I like it!
As survivor I feel like the only purpose to bring a item like flashlight or medkit is to trick killer into bringing the counter to it that way they won't bring pop or noed or a perk that makes pop or noed stronger. Also this use a toolbox challenge has shown me that you face more pop when you bring a toolbox so as survivor if you don't want to play against pop you can dodge lobbies where your team is bringing toolboxes. Or learn to use repressed alliance efficiently.
-
It's nice that the killer can equip everything they need to counter flashlights, maps, medkits, and toolboxes but also be able to just leave if they know the survivors are skilled.
Meanwhile, survivors march in blind and headstrong with a couple of perks that the killer must also be okay with or prepare to face the consequences.
-
Being a killer is lonely sometimes basement chest is all you have and they come and steal that as well. The entity is a cold mistress better to play as nea and be tickled to death on hook than be killer.
-
You don't have to give up and leave the match when, based on a glimpse, the survivors aren't doing what you want.
While I agree that the killer sets the pace for the match and survivors must respond, this call to arms or else mentality is in no way fixing your issue and throwing in the towel just marks another game up to where killer 4k because someone quit early when it's still possible to survive when you continue to play. Heck, play to show the killer someone is in their game has skill. They are also part of your community, after all.
-
You can't get rid of ds and still have tracking powers/perks/add ons to tunnel a guy out also powers that allow you to simply stay at the hook and wait for the unhook. Ds being used to counter full on tunnel to easy 3v1 is the way ds should be used and it is completely countered by a mori. So they should figure out how to keep it in to work against the abuse coming from the killers who do the quick 3v1 strats as well as make it not be able to be abused to rush gens.
-
The shut down of loops and immersion you either play one or the other doctor just takes them both away. Same can be said for Fred and ph in a sense they shut down loops and as well as something like gen control or no hook saves allowed in alot of situation.
Some killers can be very oppressive in certain scenarios not very fun but to each his own players just accept it or they DC give up or what have you. Alot of killers have a power that can be abused the same way ds unbreakable can such as legion going for just one guy huntress aiming at hooked guy and in doctors case slug to win you can't heal if you're in madness.
-
Not technically an alien but Bishop from the movie Alien would be my new main. I mean survivors are bots already and if you can't beat them you might as well join them.
