Play killer wait 30 seconds then do the mori'ing

Haven't had too many killers saying they want me house to burn down with me in it,or that they just embarrassed me on there stream or get my gaming ig and try to live chat with me after I blocked them.
-
Don't these house have back doors ? Nm my bad I didn't see Claudette that's a crappy situation. Should of just left

What a surprise that you see more toxic Survivors when there are 4 times more Survivors than Killers. Mindblowing.
Just because there are more survivors doesn't make the toxicity ok. You don't have to trash talk someone after a match

Which is absolutely false.
Really I have gotten way more toxic messages from survivors than I have from killers . A killer does something a survivor doesn't like he is deemed toxic .
Survivors can body block hooks, blind a killer over and over again, t bag at every palet, click flash light , t bag at the exit gates, and my personal favorite the end game chat / messages saying how v yeah the killer was because he did something the survivor didn't like.
-
How about we implement a system where hook progress speeds up if both like and survivor are running around the hook?
Survivors do realize the entity wants them to suffer and for right? Went would the entity make it easier for you too survive?

Otzdarva's camping experiment concluded with him saying camping was too strong. His suggestion was that as long as the killer is within x meters of a survivor and is not in a chase for x amount of time, all the other survivors would get a massive boost to generator repair speeds. I like this idea because it keeps camping during the endgame as a valid strategy. I also think that you shouldn't lose emblem progress for camping once all of the gens are finished, since there are no other objectives left to defend except for the hooked survivor.
Otznoed expirement showed camping was strong against overly altruistic survivors. Why would someone try to unhook a face camping bubba with his chain saw revving?

there should be AI algorithms clever enough to find out if the killer is facecamping or not
Ok but why implement a anti face camping mechanic when the devs have already stated it's a valid tactic?
-
@5thPerkSlot said:
No, nonono, I won't buy your "but, it is a valid strategy!" quotes, so let's talk about real stuff working, ok?
Every time the killer is near X metres from a hooked surv:
- Mechanism 1: a timer appears when the killer is not moving or very sightly around the surv, upon timer depletion the killer is paralyzed by the entity for X seconds
- Mechanism 2: there is a permanent radius of X metres around the hooked surv the killer cannot penetrate
- Mechanism 3: same as Mechanism 2 but the radius increases/decreases considering the killer is face camping or not (this is particularly good, since it rewards the survs trying to save the hooked surv)
- Mechanism 4: if the killer is inside X metres for X time, the vision field is reduced likewise when the end of Legion's skill and/or lower movement speed
- Mechanism 5: the hooked survivor obtains a progress bar everytime the killer is X time around too close, when this bar is replenished the surv can press action key or mouse to release short range call for the entity that stuns the killer for X seconds
Mechanism x.... yours?
What about survivors running near the hook and killer is chasing them? You hook radius what have to be small to account for this
-
Bring back og Mori, where you don't need to hook anyone. I'm just trolling with that Moris are fine the way they are.

Where and when have devs stated how any of the perks should be used ie any tunnel

Problem #2: We only ever get 4 perk slots :/
Both are not problem.

@DetailedDetriment why should all the other people be punished for your poor internet connection or sub par PC ? I have played this game for 2 years and haven't had a game breaking issue that I would need to dc for.

That's the intent. Play better than your teammates, and you rank up. Play more poorly, and you don't move
Yes I get that but a it can be scammed very easily like I explained earlier how to do it .
-
Yall know rank doesn't matter right? It merely shows how much time you have doesn't in the game.
-
@CosmicParagon said:

EZ fix: SWF can only get one pip total, making it far harder. Better yet, make a survivor that dies(with a bad score ofc, to avoid baloney in endgame) in SWF LOSE 2 pips to prevent abuse of the system. And the fact that somebody is always better than somebody else is literally the point of a ranking system. Why should one player be placed above a more skilled one or below a less skilled one?
What I am saying is even if you suck there will always be someone who is worse than you are . So you wouldn't always not be in the top 2.
-
@CosmicParagon said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1260329#Comment_1260329
How? If you suck at playing, you won't be in the top 2 spots, and you won't pip. Double pips would also be gone, since each of them only gets one pip
Some one is always better than someone else, and as I stated earlier a 4 man swf can have 2 people tank every other match to boost their rank
-
@Dwinchester said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1260407#Comment_1260407
That's a pretty weak argument. The 3 and 4 man swf is a small percentage. Plus you have rank reset, so they would have to do it all the time.
Not depiping is a big flaw in your system especially one where you can be boosted as easily as I have explained. Rank reset doesn't help your case any because a boosted rank 1 would drop to purple 4.
-
@Dwinchester said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1260302#Comment_1260302
Everyone does that now. Even with kindred on, people rush for unhooks and fight for totems and chests.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1260329#Comment_1260329
First off, that's how it works now. Second off, it wouldn't work like that. Say you're in purple ranks, you got there by out playing green ranks. If two of your teammates continually out play you, then you stay in purple ranks where you belong, you out play them and you move to red.
If you're a potato that self cares in the corner, you won't get to red ranks. As it stands now, two gens and two unhooks and you pip, that would no longer cut it.
Yes you stay in the rank you currently at. people can scan the system by playing with other people and tanking every other match.
-
@Dwinchester said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/150775/safety-pip-if-a-killer-depips
I've got an easy solution to the matchmaking, people being in the wrong rank, and depipping to a scummy killer.
No more depips, but only 2 pips available for 4 survivors. The two that perform the best get to rank up, the other two stay where they are. This will keep all ranks stocked, and make sure that only the best players make it to red ranks.
That wouldn't work at all. Everyone would be in red ranks after enough time be spent in the game. The only difference is that they will stay in red ranks until rank reset where they will drop to 4 .
-
Swf is fine. Now every group is sweaty try hards. If I suspect it's a sweaty swf I switch my build to counter them.
-
Yea just had a match where I got stuck in a palet and couldn't move . Had to sit and wait for the gens to get done

No one is, in your example. The Killer is not obliged to give up a gen & let Survivors continue anymore then Survivors need to walk up and be hit.
I'm talking about when no one plays objectives. It's a grey area about intent;
When a Killer traps the last Survivor in a corner: This is holding the game hostage.
When a Survivor(s) hide and don't do any generators because they want the Killer to DC: This is holding the game hostage.
Survivors getting stuck in a 3-Gen is NOT holding the game hostage. It's not the Killer's duty to give up a gen, nor the Survivors duty to give up a hook/death.
The reason I say survivors can't hold the game hostage is because of this post here https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/46253/holding-game-hostage#latest
I asked if a hatch stand off is considered as the survivor holding the game hostage. I deliberately camped the hatch the survivor could of done the last 2 gens and left but decided to camp hatch as well

Survivors hiding and doing no generators for long periods of time can be considered taking the game hostage, as the game has no end-state for this. They are actively preventing the Killer from doing his role, and leaving him no choice but to disconnect.
Same as the Killer trapping the last Survivor in a corner before EGC is also taking the game hostage; the Survivor has 0 options but to disconnect.
Now granted; a Killer may EVENTUALLY find a Survivor, but I believe deliberately not playing your objective counts as holding the game hostage.
What defines a long period of time.if there is a 3 gen situation and the killer patrols the gen who is holding the game hostage?
-
The killer taking the game hostage would be trapping the last survivor in a corner or basement before egc .
Unless things have changed survivors hiding around the map is not taking the game hostage.

Yes this problem has been mentioned about 3 or 4 times above and I've addressed it with the feature of course being optional.
I'm not sure what you mean by your last sentance but this is aimed at solos, swf will still use discord regardless so it wont affect them, theyll still use discord because there would be a very limited range in the in game voice chat
My bad using a cellphone and auto correct messed it up. I was saying what about party chat and discord. I don't see why bhvr should take away man power from bug fixes and updates to put in a comms system most people won't use.
Don't get me wrong it is something that I have thought about as well. I think the killer should be able to hear what the survivors are saying in they are in the proximity. I think the amount of toxicity that would stem from this would be outrageous and only make this game even more toxic than it already is.
-
@Danu said:
Just looking for opinion's on an optional survivor proximity chat in DBD that works within maybe a 2-3m range of another survivor
It seems good in theory. Until you have a 13 year old screaming in your ear about how the killer is doing good knows what. Also would stop party or discord
-
If anything a dc should request a 3 hook death. A suicide should should watch the killer more points as well as the remaining survivors.

Technically keys require the survivor team to complete generators and the individual survivor has to find hatch.
Doesn't take much skill to hold m1 for 80 seconds at a time, and then creep around the map looking for the hatch.

If you're interested in being an anti social turd, this makes perfect sense. Survivors are not npcs they are people. Only someone who has never been tunnel mori'd would defend it, try playing survivor
So I'm killing real people in the game ohh no my mom's gonna be so pissed. Oddily enough I have died alot playing this game but I think I am still alive.

From a strategic perspective, the best move in 1 vs 4 match is to remove 1 of the 4 as quickly as possible.

just saying, most games with DC bans have the option for a game to be safe to leave after DC 1
I'm not sure about other games but in overwatch a match v will be cancelled if some one leaves within the first 2 minutes I believe. I think2 minutes of the disconnect you can leave freely . The difference between dbd and overwatch is teams are even and you can come back with in those 2 minutes to finish the match. I don't believe this would work in dbd

Waiting ages for a match and then playing with potato teammates is extremely common for me. Maybe I wouldn't mind the bad teammates as much if the queue times weren't so long.
Yea I guess I'm use to bad teammates playing either side of this game

As much as I don't like keys they are fine just like moris are fine. Run Franklins and a Mori.

You're not that good in story telling.
I didn't have 5h free to watch his stream so I have no idea about how it ended up, all I know is that he was trying an experiment of facecamp + noed and according to math and experience, I imagine the results. Also, you know that not everybody in the world is in a swf, right? Solo queuers also try to save people because nobody really enjoy the facecamping games. Facecamping isn't OP against swf alone, it is in fact OP in general. Just like NOED which may save your ass if you suck even at facecamping.
Yes I do know that not everyone on the world is a swf I play solo survivor quite often . I was merely stating what happened in the video that you mentioned in your post that you have not seen, But think it's relevant to your post.
-
@aregularplayer I have a story for you. Killer hooks meg after all the gens are done. Meg get rescued by Bill, and David. Nea is waiting at the 99% exit gate as meg is in full Sprint towards her with David and Bill busy blocking.
Bill makes a grave mistake veers right though a window while David and meg go left.
The killer sees his chance to down meg again as she passes the exit doors. Killer swings down meg. She crawls toward the exit. The killer happy to get one kill picks up meg only to scream in agony of being stab by decisive strike.
So I am confused this is a noed novel but you talk about otz face camping video. Where he is trying to prove that noed is op but all he does is prove that face camping is a direct counter to overly altruistic swf.
-
So a complete rank reset?
-

(PS4) Playing killer the extent of my toxic messages that I would send first would be to tell a survivor not to t bag after the game in which I killer them. As a survivor I don't get toxic I go in do gens unhook and leave of I funny die. If there killer does a good job I will give them a gg

Time and time again i’ll be playing with friends, doing great. Gens done, great teamwork, healing, callouts, looping killers. And then it happens. You get the last gen done and see that glimmer of hope. The Exit Gates. But right as you reach it..*DUN DUN* NoEd proctors and all that progress, time, and teamwork is flushed down the drain by the easiest crutch perk in the game. NoEd isn’t a perk that needs to exist. It’s horrible. It proves that you can try as hard as possible and still have all that mean nothing because a killer can get his easy kills on you and your teammates. OtzDarva has proven this multiple times and has even gone out of his way to have streams dedicated to the fact that it’s unfair and unbalanced. Remove NoEd from the game. Make us all happy. Show us that you are infact. Doing a pretty good job so far.
Otz hasn't proved anything except that camping works when survivors are dumb. Your post process normal as well except you and your swf are to busy gen rushing to do totems
