@Snowstruck report for what ? It wasn't the killers fault you got stuck. They didn't hack the game to make you get stuck.

if a swf does this then the whole group should be put on the penalty queue.
While I don't agree with dc . I think punishing the whole swf is not fair.

"all 4 survivors got slugged until they bled out on purpose" = "game is unplayable" no one here is complaining about losing the game my guy. Prob use your eyes to read
Unbreakable counters slugging. Which would make the game playable again

So I brought up a question awhile ago before egc where I was playing killer and camped the hatch with 0 gens left . The survivor didn't do anything for what seemed like 20 minutes. I asked if this was the survivor holding the game hostage, I was told no because I could still kill them. Even though the survivor could of easily escaped Thursday either exit gate.

In OP's case we don't know when the Legion started the bodyblocking, so it's probably not reportable.
This is why there needs to be an exact explanation on what building the have hostage is.

I'm a red rank survivor, who plays this game a bit too much. I play on console, so I'm not the best, but I make do with what I have. After playing this game for a year and a half, for the longest time ruin was the biggest problem in the game. But even now, that perk is gone to an extent. Now, I face a new problem. No one escapes death is a ridiculous perk and at the very least should be a killer teachable. I cannot tell you how many times I have been sacrificed late game after doing everything in my power to save my teammates and do generators because no ed was on a rank 13 killers loadout. So not only does broken matchmaking stand out here, but no Ed is unlocked so quickly, that it just gets old at this point. I honestly go into every match expecting no ed now. It should be removed from the game, or it should be reworked so that it can be avoided (easier without having to bring a map and cleanse all the totems). D-pipping because I save my teammates and do generators but I didn't get out is ridiculous. Matchmaking is an entirely different discussion.
If you did everything right and died because of noed you should safety pip atleast. You can die and still pip. Just like you can escape and de pip
-
Essentially a bubba can trap 3 survivors in the basement and it is not reportable cause the 4 one can do gens and trigger egc

I have noticed this as well. I thought it was lag I'm on ps4

Finished last gen and I figured the killer gave up and went AFK as I was running through the fields. Saw the redstain and crows circling. I just opened the gates and left. Not going to bully a player who obviously had a bad game (I think he had two hooks?) I thought he was a newer player that unfortunately got matched against me when I'm in red ranks.
But after I left I wanted to spectate and wait it out. As I was swapping through the cameras, I saw the one player stuck between the killer, a legion, and a stack of barrels. As the countdown ticked away, the legion just stood there and waited it out. Gotta secure that one kill I guess?
Waiting for clip to upload on my Xbox. But how do I go about reporting this killer? That was actually super lame to witness.
Report for what
-
Slugging is not considered holding the game hostage. Since the game will end once they bleed out. Trapping someone in the basement or in a corner would be considered holding a game hostage. Because there is no way v for the game to end . Now egc does change things a little bit. So to would have to trap all survivors in the basement .
-
The killer is the power role because there is 1 killer against 4 survivors. 1 individual survivor shouldn't be more powerful than the killer, but all 4 survivors should over power the killer. This is why swf are so powerful. When you get 4 solo players that have to work smarter than the killer.

I fail to see how the game is still survivor-sided when it never was for any solo player to begin with.
Never you say. Are you v sure about that!

Has anyone else been in the situation where the killer can death hook the next to last survivor and still have time to move half the map to the hatch (that hasn't opened yet) and stand there and wait for the hatch to open only to immediately close it.
I guess it comes down to how accessible the devs want the hatch to be to the last survivor in this situation.
What about survivors camping hatch while killer is hooking the second to last survivor ?
Why not have one of the gates open if the killer closed the hatch. You know when the killer closes a hatch the entity open a door.

@WaveyTrey said:
Survivors can only point, and wave at each other to come close. Don’t you think they’d be able to call out for each other in order to unite? Even if they’re risking to remain quiet as possible? We know that’s a lie because players constantly make noises on purpose via rushed actions sometimes.
I think devs should disable comms somehow and add a new feature that enables survivors to call out for one another every 60 seconds. The shout covers so many meters. Say 30 meters. Survivors and killers alike will be alerted of where the person was standing when they shout if they’re close enough. After say 15 meters you don’t see where the person was standing, but you still hear the noise of their shout. It’ll startle nearby crows too. Meaning as a survivor you could take a risk to call for friends, trick the killer, lure the killer into a chase, or get caught by Killer altogether because you gave away your position.
How can devs disable party chat or discord?

i played against a teabagging sabo deathsquad the other night as huntress, easily my worst killer, and midway through with a bunch of bloody slugs decorating the ground I realized that all these pro gamer saves they were attempting actually bought me time. I 4k'd with 3 gens remaining.
I shall never fear a deathsquad again.

NoEd can be turned off. Why do Survivors not realize this? You can turn his perk off, and then you're facing a 3-Perk Killer.
What is so hard about understanding that? It needs 0 balance because it's balanced; you can prevent it from ever happening.
Unless you're too lazy to do bones, of course. But that's your fault, not the perk being unbalanced.
Because it's easier to complain about it.

Went to eat cat jumped on my desk queued me for a killer game doesn't Obie until I came name to a game work 4 escapes

In my 2 years of playing I had only been disconnected once this was I believe last Friday or Saturday. I was streaming at the time but that had no affect on my ps because I use 2 different internet connections one to stream and one to game.
So don't get me wrong I do think sometime people get kicked when it isn't their fault, but I do not believe it is enough to warrant getting rid of DC bans. When I got my 5 minute ban I waited it out went into the next game and everything was fine.

Is not because someone has crappy internet, its because the GAME errors. How come i only have internet issues in this game, which is also known for having ######### servers? I cant wait for the 24h ban someday for literally no reason. Thanks for your comment though :)
What platform after you playing on

Sometimes i keep getting "dc" penalties because "i have no internet", and when i log in it says the match could not been saved or something like that (its an error)...
I mean, we have to deal with unfair dc's that hurt our teammates in games such like battle royales, which is really common. Stop punishing people for the game mistakes.
Why should other people suffer cause of someones crappy internet or potato pc

Also when did killers have to find people? Don't they create their own lobbies?
Since dedicated servers killers and survivors b both look for each other. That is why you can be in a lobby with a full team of survivor and no killer or a killer can have a lobby with 2vsurvivirs waiting for others
-
@Waffleyumboy said:

All solos need is a killer. Swf's can't join lobbies where there are too many survivors, hence why in lobbies it's quick finding the first few survivors but finding the last 2 or three takes some time.
Solos need to find 4 people 3 more survivors and 1 killer. Just like a 2 stack needs 3. And a 3 stack needs 2

What I am saying by your logic a 4 man should find a game as faster as a killer. Why because all they need of a killer.

What? I literally said in my post that swf queue times are hindered by their size and even possibly by their matchmaking. Nowhere did I state they find lobbies quickly.
Where did I say you said that?

SSSHHHHH, clearly its his opponents using expert lvl hacks or DDosing him, rather than his roommate looking up porn while hes trying to play.
Oh my bad....
-
No. By that logic a 4 man would find a game as fast as killers find games, or even 2 man would find a match fairly quickly.

What if it's not vpn killers and just poor connection to servers?

Unable to detect either. Not bannable

I think light born is a bit over powered. I get the whole point of the perk is to not get blinded but, is survivors can never blind killers with light born and then if you do blind them the recovery speed is faster. I understand like in the lobby if a killer sees all of the survivors with flash lights then light born but, I think it should just be nerfed to balance the game. I’ve been going against camping killers and stuff too, this is not my idea but the idea is to perhaps provide a penalty when killers camp. What do you guys think?
A. Even will light born a killer can fill be blinded the time is just increased.
2. Lightborn is the only direct counter perk to flash lights Channing it would give a huge buff to flashlights.
C. Light born does not be work against firecrackers.

The lag . When playing killer and you down a survivor there boost isn't where you hot them. I had a match last night where I got a Survivor at the pilars in the exit room and it moved her past the exit so I couldn't pick her up

To be honest, as soon as you tried to defend infinites you lost all acclaim as well as repute in your post. Infinites aren't and will never be the same as face-camping, Orion gave plenty of fantastic points and you completely ignored them all.

When someone engages in a rather scummy tactic what do you want me to call it? If it were up to me I'd heavily punish camping by having BP eventually hit zero in all categories for hard camping and a loss of two PIPs...and no never going to happen.
Yes someone should be punished for "scummy tactics" but what is defined as a scummy tactic? To me a scummy tactic would be something the devs have deemed against the rules . Not something that they v have said is a viable strat

If a killer using insidious hooks someone and then stands behind a wall right next to the hook he isn't being a try hard...he is being pond scum. Had such the other day. Lucky was swf on comms so knew what he was doing. I escaped. Then told him what a great job he was doing as killer.
So a killer is pond scum now if he uses a perk in the game and it was intended. Does the same go for borrowed time , dead hard delivarance, unbreakable adrenaline or any other survivor perk?

@Entity_Hugs said:

You missed the point.
Survivors would stay far enough away to avoid triggering a chase. Probably 20+ meters. They would be in full view, showing that, if the Killer moves, he gives up a hook. But far enough away that he can't fake a chase.
This would slow the struggle meter, giving Survivor #4 more time to do gens while #2 & #3 crouch-dance 20 meters away, safe.
This meant the Killer either had to stay close, and thus slow the Struggle Meter, or commit to ONE chase, leaving the other Survivor free to unhook.
Your idea is exactly what was tried, and abused.
Ok but here is the thing the killer can just stand 2 meters away and the b time will be normal. If they want to camp they can at 2 meters

@NinjaDette1 said:
This happened to me a few days ago. It was towards the end of the game and the killer decided to camp me like a tryhard. My fellow teammates tried to save me but I ended up dying. It is never fun to be the one being camped but I’ve had better times when I was able to escape. I tell myself this person is either new at killer or they are wanting to ruin other people’s game experience. I don’t let it bother me though to be honest if they choose to do that that’s their decision not mine. And I’m perfectly ok with dying 😀☝️.
Why is the killer " like a try hard" but the survivors weren't try hards for trying to rescue you
-
@Entity_Hugs said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1273439#Comment_1273439
No, because Survivors would just stay 40 meters away, where the Killer can see them. This forces the Killer to stay near the hook or to walk away & give a free unhook.
This was, barring the distances, the EXACT thing Devs tried and Survivors exploited. You're asking for a punishment that was abused for an unintended advantage.
I think you meant 4 meters away? If the survivors are 4 meters away they aren't doing gens. I accounted for that by making the camp zone for killer so much smaller. The killer could camp at 2 meter and not get a penalty.
-
I think a fair face camping punishment would be a 5 percent slow down in hook timer while the killer is with 1 meter in hooked survivors, but it would speed up by 5 percent for each survivor in a 2-3 meter range of hooked survivor

For players that dc, I came across a idea for them to possibly prevent dc'ing. So, basically they get a "dunce" icon.
Instead of this status icon:

They should have this:

I think that it would add to the DC "punishment" and give players a good laugh
I love the idea but how would it would for a killer?

Theres alot of toxic people in the community. it dosent have anything to do with being survivor or killer. People saying theres more toxic survivors/toxic killer are generalizing one side as being worst when its just more people on one side which makes the toxicity more noticable. I notice more toxicity from the killer side but i dont think that means theres more toxic killers then survivors.
Your name proves my point . Jk . Out if all my survivor matches I have only had 1 killer send me a toxic message and all they said was good luck. This v was before a match where he killed everyone but me.

Because there's one killer per game to 4 survivors per game.
So then there are more toxic survivors than toxic kilers?
-
Why not remove moris from offerings and make them an add on
-
So it's fine that survivors can do 3 gens have 2 people die and 2 people can still escape with a key?

Before dedicated servers the killer hosted the game. I thought servers would of been the game from issues of the killer hosting, sadly killers weren't optimized for servers their is lag on huntress and hag
