Whats your thought on Bubba then, who also has a normal movement speed and access to an instadown at all times?
I wouldnt really compare bubba to Billy. they are both different . Billy excels in map pressure and keeping survivors on their toes while bubba.... well he's bubba?
I mean the whole idea of his power and his perks feels like it was based on camping. though he is a fun killer to play as dodging his chainsaw is super easy especially if you know how to run around a tree lol.

Get better at what? Camping? I dont know how you can "get better" than killing all 4 survivors. This is one of the typical crybaby responses I get on xbox when I camp, lol.
what rank are you?
Also if you look at most of my discussions you'll notice that I am not a survivor main:)

Okay if you're referring to moving from gen to gen (the MS of the character) then Leather face does not have a slower MS, Oni does not have a slower MS either and Myers who has already been mentioned also does not have a slower MS (IMO the devs should tie T1 too the scratch mirror and have Mikey start out in T2 or something).... Now if you're talking about charging the chainsaw then you're also wrong about that as well, the devs did almost perfect when it came too designing Billy because you can barley tell that Billy does lose MS, he moves slower then a survivor ( I think it's 96% it's the percentage that LF should have) and it takes just over 2 seconds to charge the chainsaw (unless he's using addons) which is enough to make most windows or pallets when you're at a loop.
You stating "you can't run a killer forever", well that'the answer to how the game should be, unfortunately the game still has killers that we can still run for years do to their inability to do anything about chases and that is the category that billy is in... If you come across someone of equal skill level as yourself at the start of the match and you follow that person, you will get looped as BIlly.
Now am I saying Billy is low tier......NO... he still has the best map mobility in the game and with it he can catch players out of position, dead zones are actually dead zones.
yes Billy is balanced and arguably the most balanced in the game.
the difference between billy and Myers and oni is those two have to work for their power.

If you disconnect from the match it is a reportable offense. Suiciding on hook is not a reportable offense
true. either way both should be frowned upon. suiciding on hook is just dcing but with extra steps.

I actually do, but that's not the case. The reason is that it would be way more difficult for them to get to the red ranks without Ruin. So I won't because there won't be any :3
I'm pretty sure suiciding on hook and dcing are reportable offenses.

That's because too many survivors are in red ranks. Red rank killer amounts have probably not even decreased.
so you're basically saying there arent enough killers in red ranks to compensate with all the SWF?
-
same with survivor games , the whole day I've been going against rank 14s and up. even though I'm a rank 3 survivor. I feel bad because they always do poorly against me.
Also almost all of them ran noed thankfully I had detectives hunch 😎😎

Except those more balanced killers that move at the same speed as him don't cross the map in less than the duration of BBQ, have an instadown that requires 0 setup, can patrol every gen in 10 seconds flat, and can down people at the start of the match when the only counter is to literally cross your fingers and hope you spot him coming around blind corners faster than you can possibly outrun his turning. They also don't have training wheel add ons that remove any skill from the power.
Billy is gross.
that's why I don't think hes balanced

I used to think like you, but I've adapted to the forums.
Every day I see survivors crying about killers being op, when the problem is that they just need to get good at this game.
They always forget that this game is a 1v4, not a 1v1.
also looking at your post I see a lot of complaining about the ruin nerf as well as oni being weak. kinda hypocritical.

Myers doesn't have a slowed movement speed when he instant downs. He is not unbeatable since he is extremely weak to looping, especially on maps like The Game and Hawkins. What rank are you?
I'm a rank 3 , hes the only killer I really cant beat. I'm fine going against spirit and freddy (and nurse but that's super easy now) a lot of people are saying loop him but you cant loop a killer forever especially with how fast he breaks pallets.
also with myers he doesnt have a instadown right away, he has to work up to it .
-
While camping is a valid strat you'll never get better doing it.

Nope. How about a claim?
you claimed that it was bc of SWF without evidence whatsoever
I did the same thing , and yet you ask me for evidence.

this goes both ways bud.

Over 80% of players are survivors? Evidence?
evidence there not?
-
or hear me out.... maybe it's because there are more people playing survivor than there are killers.
-
its because there are more survivors than killers thus the que times are longer

Tried to ask that in the Q/A but my comment is getting deleted from the mods.... don't forgot the basement bug got fixed in 1 week but sound bugs still remain for a month.... who cares about killers right?
With the broken sounds and the post phase lunge bug of spirit, I am not able to play spirit properly for a month... as a spirit main that is really annoying me... I finally want to play my main Killer. Guess survivors are not FrUsTrAtEd if noone can play spirit right? :D
basement bug isnt fixed yet , just got it for the third time today . love having to DC when I use a bloody party streamer.

DS stun: Five seconds, with the Survivor only being given the opportunity to actually run away for around four seconds
Frenzy fatigue: Four seconds, during which the Survivor has full time to run away, also during which you get a vignette so bad that some people can’t play Legion without Shadowborn
On second thought, you’re right. I’d rather get hit with Decisive Strike than deal with Legion’s post-Frenzy fatigue.
side note I love your name!

You can still move around during the fatigue (though extremely slow) while Dstrike you cant

A minority of exceptionally good players can loop a Billy yes, that doesn't change the fact that average Hillbillys still land about 20 instadowns per game on a team of survivors of the same skill level.
No other killer in the game lands that many instadowns per trial. None even come close. Not Oni, not Myers, not LF, not GF.
I'm curious as to where you got that statistic
-
imagine if a killer had the ability to increase the speed at which a survivor died on the hook by 30%, wouldnt all of us consider that cheap and unfun to go against?
-
Now that you've tweaked one of the most common perks used by killers will you be tweaking any super common perks used by survivors?

even scarier would be oni tbagging!!

This is why the Gatekeeper emblem was changed with Ruin. In terms of emblem points, it's no longer important to keep 5 gens up the first two minutes to get all those points.
In terms of the game's power curve, it's expected the first couple gens go fast. 4 Survivors, one Killer... several chases to get one Survivor out. But as the number of gens to patrol decreases, it becomes easier for the Killer to patrol, and their power rises. As the Survivors die off, the Killer's power increases more as there are fewer Survivors to work on gens.
Old Ruin gave people who depended on it the idea that it should not require input from the Killer to keep the first couple gens from popping in the first couple minutes. But that is not how we intend the game to work. My apologies for leaving old Ruin in place as long as we did; it was hard to find a good update, and we knew there would be a huge outcry from the players when we did the change, no matter how good it was. The moment I joined the project in August 2018 I knew Ruin was something I wanted to change. It took a lot of time and a lot of discussion with the other designers to find something worthy to replace it.
New Ruin requiring Killers to act in order to get its benefit is by design. Its lack of large impact in the first minutes is by design. Its subtlety is by design (by subtle I mean that one of its large benefits isn't mentioned in the text: no need to spend time kicking gens). Because we recognized Ruin's impact on the Gatekeeper emblem and Killers' ability to pip, we made the alteration to that emblem.
We can easily understand players' frustrations with this deep change to one of their core tools. But the opinion of all of us on the design team is that the new Ruin will make the game healthier overall. Our willingness to stand by it in the face of such anger over the change is an indication of our confidence in the new design and the benefits it will have in the long run.
Now do something about object of obsession or decisive strike if you want the game to be "healthier"

I'd rather it be a trade.
It transfers the hit from the person rescued to the rescuer. This preserves its purpose of protecting the rescued survivor but prevents completely unsafe hook rescues with no consequence.
I like your idea

If you 4k before 9 minutes, you still get credit for your gens up to the 9-minute mark.

true, but then again. once it does happen with the other two your kinda screwed.
eh. if you're team has half a brain they'll know not to feed Myers. and for plague you're still not instantly down, you're just broken.
-
@Deltin said:
or we can keep it as is? in my opinion yes it's annoying. but so is infinite myers or considerably makes you sick faster plague. doesn't need a change imo because if the huntress is using it in the first place, they're not really that good at huntress are they?
I think you're forgetting that both of what you listed doesnt instantly happen at the start of the game, myers has to stalk for a long time. and plague has to puke on you.
While huntress can just throw a hatchet and insta down you from 30 feet away.
-
The only problem with there being a casual and ranked playlist would be that it splits the already player count in half. the game already has horrible matchmaking and this would make it worse.
