At this point I don't know if I like the game or not because I end up ######### hating myself after every match
-
Don't forget "pull a survivor from a locker using Iron Maiden".
THAT'S LITERALLY THE OPPOSITE OF HOW I'M SUPPOSED TO USE THE DAMN PERK BHVR

I think they're adding up for all four survs
so all 4 survivors are unhooking themselves at the same time somehow, gotcha

"240 seconds"
what kind of math are you doing here

Are you some kind of an idiot? All forms.of entertainment, hell, all forms of mobility are just our attempts to anesthetize against our growing conscious of our impending mortality....
So yes, people play videogames to distract themselves from things in life. That's often the case, and btw what a piece of ######### you are for trying to bring shame to that
He wasn't trying to shame that, he was making light of the fact that DBD specifically often only worsens these feelings rather than improve them.

My frames drop during bloodlust because I'm on console. If you're not a console player you won't understand.
I play on an original Xbox One and I don't think I've ever noticed frame drops when entering Bloodlust.

If you dont tunnel you wont see DS or BT.
DS lasts longer than the time it takes for 2 survivors to complete a gen from start to finish with no perks or items, so sure.
In the case of BT, you can't just pretend bodyblocking off hook doesn't exist.
-
It is, at most, an extra 12 seconds you have to spend repairing a gen. Sorry you can't mindlessly unga bunga through them as fast as you'd like, but it's by no means overpowered.

If I am new to a game, it is completely ok for me to not be good. This goes for every game.
Let alone that Killer is the easiest it has ever been.
Of course it's okay to not be good as a new player. What's not okay is being condescending to a new player for no reason other than thinking you have big internet pp. Toxic communities turn people off of investing in titles.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Maybe you are just not as good as you think you are?
Exactly the kind of comments that discourage new players from sticking with the game.

And do you know if changing the code for his throw speed affects his speed on other parts of the codes that involve him?
Didn't know about huntress. Glad someone got it before it went live. She might share some code with clown so they both got issues together.
Nurse is always weird :p
It likely does, but there's always a chance that that isn't the case and there's instead another factor causing that to happen, which is why we play as much of the PTB as we can/actually want to and report bugs accordingly.

Clown got changed in the ptb build. Specifically involving his speed with the bottles.
Wanna try a bug involving a killer that didn't get changed in this patch?
The only change Clown received was to his speed when throwing his bottles, not when reloading them. Neither his movement speed while reloading nor the VHS Porn add-on were touched in this patch.
Huntress also no longer has decreased movement speed when winding up her hatchets. Nurse can also Blink outside of the new map.

Well, yes. But unless a mechanic is changed there's no real bug to be found.
It was on the dedicated servers ptb. Which happened right before the stranger things ptb. So there were no killers to be tested, just the servers.
It absolutely won't hurt. But people usually want to try the new stuff. So DC's are gonna happen. 🤷♂️
Still no reason to be an ######### on the post-game chat.
You say this like things don't break frequently in this game lol. Clown is actually bugged atm. When reloading his bottles with the VHS Porn addon, he basically gets a NOED speed boost for some reason.

Why play GF on PTB when its used to try brand nee things?
Brand new things like a new map that all Killers can be played as on?
-
So many of these challenges are ######### stupid lol
Killer has one in Tome 2 for grabbing survivors out of a locker with Iron Maiden equipped, which completely defeats the purpose of Iron Maiden lmao

its killer sided? Thats weird because if you ask anyone that is in the red ranks i think they can all agree that nothing beats a good competent 4 man swf.
You make the mistake of assuming that they listen to anyone outside of their echo chamber lol
-
Eh, I mildly disagree. I think the official skins should remain true to the character, but I feel like as far as community-designed skins go, anything should be allowed.
I'm all for more immersion and staying true to the actual characters, but it's okay to have some silly stuff from time to time, and I feel like community-designed cosmetic contests are the time to do it.

I am sure Silent Hill fans are happy and should be but in my opinion this is a let down.
They hyped this up as if we are getting someone like Jason. I am sure it will be a fine chapter but they really overhyped this.
Literally all the devs did was say it would be a licensed chapter containing an iconic character. The ######### four in the anniversary logo was even pyramid shaped.
They didn't hype anything up, you lot took your theories and ran with them and then somehow got disappointed when your theories turned out to be untrue.

Enough to force me to keep playing even though every match makes me hate myself.
-
People body blocking with Borrowed Time. You unga bunga the hook, I go after you because I see your scratch marks from half a ######### mile away, you get rewarded with BT even though you made a play that would otherwise be considered so bad that it had to come from the mind of someone who's disabled, I go for the unhooker because the person on hook probably has DS, but then the unhooked person begins body-blocking me because they get a free 15 seconds of immunity for a stupid play and even if I down them, I have to wait out DS which opens up the prospect of them activating Unbreakable. I literally get ######### no matter what I do.

Because the game lets them

Agreed. The bottom level of The Game is equally annoying to traverse as both Killer and Survivor imo.

I've been through this issue a lot where a pig, or Myers, etc is camping in a corner waiting for someone to save me, then swoops them away or slashes them to make them retreat and rethink their plan. I feel like there should be a counter to camping or at least a penalty. I think there should be a barrier of some sort surrounding the hooked survivor, that only other survivors can pass through. The barrier wouldn't stay up for long once the survivors unhooked, only for a few seconds (5-6 sec) for them to plan an escape. What do you think about camping? Should they just leave it the way it is, or should they try and find a way to stop killers from camping and ruining the game.
That's not a great idea tbh, with perks like DS or Borrowed, that's basically a free unhook with no extra thought required.

i know but it just feels wrong to let the survivor hooked die without playing most of the game, or having any chance to get out of there. They'll just lose a pip and hate the game cause of people that camp.
I mean, yeah. It sucks, but that's just the nature of online games.

Mainly, from the way I see it, if I were Capcom, I'd definitely want them to appear in the game that would get more interest in whatever they have planned for the future because, as much as I enjoy resistance, there's just not much there currently and with rumours of support being dropped by January and the playerbase not being that big, I'd want to have a cross promotion deal going on. That's just how I view it though. :/
The playerbase is actually a pretty good size for a game that's only available through the purchase of a separate game.
That being said, Resistance definitely has a long way to go, but I think Capcom is gonna do what they can to make sure people stick to their ride.

Pennywise would be cool, but I really don't want a killer named "The It", The Ghost Face is bad enough. Plus it'd be weird too have a god like Pennywise too be controlled by the Entity, just doesn't seem realistic.
Jason would always be awesome but with the Lawsuit still going it'll be a bit before he gets added. I'm under the firm belief that Jason will be in DBD before the game dies.
My personal ones I want are My bloody Valentine chapter or a Xenomorph Chapter. My Bloody Valentine simply because I want too kill people as a miner, and Xenomoprh because It's my favorite series.
To this day, I still don't know why Ghostface isn't just "The Ghost".

I still don't believe that whole thing. Resistance is so vastly different from DBD that I just can't compare it, other then the 4v1 aspect. Plus, they did partner with a competing game before, history could repeat itself which I'd love.
Yeah but why would they license them out for DBD when they can use them as a selling point to get more people playing Resistance
-
Jill + Nemmy is also my dream DLC but sadly it's honestly just not going to happen. Jill is already in Resident Evil Resistance and it's reported that Nemesis is gonna make his way into that game this month.
-
Mm delicious bait
-
This is a bug that has only started happening with the most recent patch, which actually brought the game to a more balanced state than it's been in for a while.
The devs most likely already know about this, and are almost certainly working on a fix. That being said, it's not a matter of just click clacking some code on a keyboard to fix it, these things take deceptively long amounts of time.
-
@IronKnight55 said:

That's because a lot of killers want easy kills. The game feels pretty balanced right now. This is coming from someone that plays both sides.
Balance =/= fun. The game is in a pretty well balanced state, but Killer is still an incredibly stressful experience. There's fun sometimes, but a lot of matches I've had since reaching red ranks are just tormenting sweatfests.
In my experience so far, the decreased co-op gen speeds have done #########-all to stop gens from popping across certain maps before you have a chance to get there. Some maps are also still criminally unfun to play, the main culprits coming to mind being Haddonfield, The Game, and either Backwater Swamp map.
-
I started about 4 months ago and went through the slog of a new player experience. I'm now a red rank Killer and am enjoying the game even less than I was 4 months ago
-
Aside from the bugs, probably my favorite of the most recent patches.
I love that Thompson House isn't the size of a small country now

It's still like this lol

So how is comparing a buggy game to having flashbacks of being in the Vietnam war remotely acceptable?
"Oh no, my game looks funny"
And
"I cant sleep because noises remind me of watching my friends die as we fought a losing war for a country that hated us for it, and have mental issues or physical disabilities from it".
Are two DRASTICALLY different things.
Comparing game issues to being in a ######### war is distasteful and offensive to those who did serve, and belittles what they ACTUALLY go through.
But yeah, my game is broken, I guess I know what it's like to be in war. 🤷♀️

The update just came out under three hours ago; an update full of community suggestions. We're watching for feedback and taking notes back to the team. Nobody's ignoring you, take it easy.
Sorry, don't you know, we have to be irrationally angry at any given moment in time where there's a big release and claim that we're never gonna touch or spend another cent on this game and then play 20 matches the next day
-
Well I took a break for a few days, came back today, said "hey, how about a clown match", and then all 4 survivors burnt offerings for Ormond
Back to Legion
-
It's also buggy af on console, the movement (for Killer at least) is kinda stuttery in certain areas. It's like they gave specific pebbles collision effects lol
-
I wouldn't say they're rogue survivors, I'd say the Entity likely just blessed them in a different way. The reveal trailer for them kinda implies that it intentionally left them unmutilated in order to deceive the Survivors in its Trials. They make up for this in having the strength to smash pallets or break down with a mere kick in response for keeping their adolescent bodies.
They were definitely intended to be Killers, elsewise the Entity wouldn't have taken them and made them Killers.
-
As a Legion main, I think people downplay Legion's viability, but they're not insanely powerful like you're saying. A good Legion can be annoying to play against, but Legion still gets punished for doing literally anything.
Getting a hit outside of Frenzy actually drains a little bit of your power meter, running out of Frenzy results in a stun that is literally longer than a pallet stun, missing a hit in Frenzy drains your power and gives you said stun, etc.
They need buffs more than anything. There's virtually nothing they can do against people who spend a minimal amount of time healing and are good at chases. They can't use Frenzy to down them, so at that point, they basically become an M1 killer.

Uh no it won't? This is only talking about in the lobby, their names will be revealed when the game starts. Nothing will be affected
I personally use STBFL and try to figure out who's who in the lobby using their username and characters so that I can avoid my Obsession and start building up stacks immediately. This would make that process considerably more time consuming for no reason.
Also blocking their name in the lobby but then showing it in-game would change literally nothing in terms of toxicity. In the hypothetical scenario you brought up, if they remember your name and see it in-game, they're still gonna play toxic against you once they find out who you are.
-
This would make some Obsession perks considerably harder to use for no reason, so imma say no

Annoying meaning there is no other drive to do it than to annoy other players.
Why shouldn't the person getting camped be annoyed? They wanna play the game too.
At that point it is a straight up exploit. It's also not playing the game at all.
That's not an exploit though, that's just people being dicks which is just the nature of the beast in online games.
An exploit is usually the result of using a flaw in the game itself to achieve something that the game doesn't intend or plan for you to do. The devs have clearly planned that people will camp, but they don't encourage it, resulting in the bloodpoint/rank punishment for doing so. Calling camping an exploit is equivalent to calling playing with comms an exploit. Neither are insanely game breaking, neither result in a constant success rate, and neither are preventable behavior.
At the end of the day, it is objectively a strategy. It is an annoying, stupid, and wildly unsuccessful strategy, but it's by no means an exploit.
