y'all need to stop listening to tru3
period
-
If you don't like it play something else
-
The Freddy changes can't come fast enough.
I genuinely don't know what you're supposed to do against a full on ruthless Forever Freddy build.
I tried to play against it earlier with a friend and we were only able to get 1 gen done. It's literally oppressive like I don't see how you can beat it unless you have a perfect team of 4 players who all do everything perfectly
-
Stop listening to tru3 lol omg
Spirit needs her add ons looked at, they're highly problematic. Aside from that idk, I'd love to see them introduce something that gives survivors some chance at knowing when exactly she's phasing but then you have killers screaming that this would make her extremely bad and that you're just a survivor asking for killer nerfs.
Like, I still want her to be an S tier killer I just don't like how the complete unpredictability of phase walking gives Spirit free grabs or hits sometimes.
Aside from iron will you can also use a flashlight to erase her husk (If in fact she left that behind) or spine chill which is actually super nifty, it lights up when she's looking at you and when/if she phases or begins phase walking it will no longer light up I've seen streamers utilize this against her at pallets.
And I mean like.. Iron will and spine chill are amazing. Iron will is imo the next strongest perk once DS nerf goes live so honestly I think every survivor should bring it and have that sort of failsafe against Spirit but idk
I want survivors to have a chance and I also want Spirit to still be one of the strongest killers in the game lol
Time to get hate from both sides

She's iconic? Her game doesn't even come out for 3 more months.
Exactly. The game won't be out for another 3 months and the internet has fallen in love with her lol
-
If that's the new survivor they look really cool already lol
I'm kind of hype now. I was hoping it would be an original
-
Her name is Lady Dimitrescu and she is iconic.
Okay but for real I can't see her being in the game no offense.
9 ft is WAY too tall and RE Village isn't even out yet. I feel like they'd probably add some other villain/monster from Resident Evil rather than her tbh. Plus she uses a claw glove literally exactly like Freddy and that would be kind of a copy lol
I honestly could see a FNAF deal happening because some at BHVR really want to see it happen but also some don't. Basically I wouldn't put it past happening. To the whole "pallet stunning an animatronic doesn't make sense" all I have to say is neither does pallet stunning Demogorgon or flashlight blinding Pyramid Head and yet here we are.
Chucky my only issue is how would he hook people?
Candyman is actually horrifying if you watched the movie but I understand he may seem boring on outward appearances / first glance.

To be fair that works both ways, often Victor hits invisible parts of terrain, corners, and objects instead of survivors stunning him and then often getting him crushed. It's incredibly frustrating.
I've noticed this too. It's very 50/50 with Victor which is just awful for both sides.

Okay, just a hold up here. How hard is it to be nice to others? As someone who plays both sides, I can say I've just seen the mot childish attitudes. This game is rated M. If you want to play a childish game, Spyro and Kingdom Hearts are always available (I love those games by the way, no hate). Survivors, there is no need to tbag me at the exit gate, flashlight click, or make it miserable. Killers, tunneling and camping make the game boring for everyone. It isn't cool. This is a game for adults, let's act like them.
Also, Deathslinger needs a skin where he's shirtless.
I'm personally holding out for a shirtless Ghostface cosmetic.
I don't think it'll ever happen :c
Also yeah, this community is very toxic! On both sides
-
I play with my friends who are red ranks (I'm purple on average but sometimes reach red when I play a lot but haven't been lately bcuz desync problem and I play other games lol) and we don't come close to getting 3 gens done in 2 minutes lol
If this is more like optimized groups or extremely good solo queue survivors who all do well independently then okay I get it but from my personal experiences this almost never happens for me when I play with my friends (Who are better than me and have been playing longer) or try solo queue.
I feel like instances of gens flying like crazy has more to do with certain maps and spawns.
It's really hard to say whether gen times are the real issue or not because of that

I like to make my food dread being caught by me. Should I stop?
Shouldn't survivors dread being caught by the killers anyways lol
Anyways if it's a joke thread you made me giggle. If not it's whatever, campers gonna camp. Not gonna pretend like there aren't survivors who do "rude" things too.

Most satisfying thing is following that survivor to a locker and they bleed out thinking I'd fall for their DS.
Sounds like tunneling to me but okay go off.

Let me ask you a very fair question:
If they had BT would you continue to chase that unhooked survivor?

Yeah I've had this happen before lol
Thought I could get away from him with it and he just caught up I was like waitholdupnow ######### LOL
(I'm still rather new to the game)

You should do whatever you want and not ask for the validation of people on this forum, that's the last thing you should ask for around here tbh.
Just be mindful of accumulating DC penalties, eventually you'll get a permanent ban if I'm not mistaken. My general rule of thumb is I just stop playing before I reach that point but if a killer goes out of their way to bully me when I've legit done nothing wrong and it's just not a fun matchI'll DC and close it down after that and go play something else for a while. If I haven't gone out of my way to grief your game then why are you griefing me and my friends? I genuinely don't understand the thought process behind forcing everyone to bleed out or indulging in all of the most toxic behaviors against a completely casual swf that doesn't try hard or bully (Me and my friends literally just play together to have fun and help me get bloodpoints since I'm still pretty new).

How is this better than current NOED? You replace with with Mori it is now insta-death vs insta-down. It doubles down on it's sense of cheapness.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1965463#Comment_1965463
Dislike this because it will basically rule out ever running NOED with other hexes.
Token-based NOED is ideal but should be based on killer behavior, not survivor behavior. E.g. based on the number of hooks or hits.
Bcuz the killer can't insta down people they would potentially need to land 2 hits on healthy survivors. I guess it could be worse if they have access to insta downs. Idk it was just my idea to rework it so that it's still powerful.
I give up, people want it to be broken no matter what or useless so I literally do not care anymore after this post lol everyone's being unreasonable up in here (Not you).

No, it's not that I've just noticed in a lot of the nerf DH threads lately or just nerfing problematic survivor perks in general people tend to mention sprint burst after dead hard, ds, unbreakable etc. and I just wasn't sure if it was really as bad as they make it out to be lol
I'm more surprised that people haven't said more about Iron Will tbh

Why not?
Killers and Survivors "rely" on their perks all the time to achieve effect X or Y.
Why should NOED be any different than a Survivor that "relies" on Adrenaline to escape endgame or "relies" on Dead Hard to avoid dying to a downing hit?
Adrenaline rewards a survivor for completing their objectives.
NOED rewards a killer for failing their objectives that's how they're different and that's why people complain so much about NOED since it rewards a killer for basically losing up until that point.

i would put hag and demo over plague as hers is well just puking then hitting survivors once with her weapon.
meanwhile hag and demo literally eat the survivor alive, demo is definitely S tier for me.
I used to think Plague's wasn't that bad but technically she's puking down the survivors throat and drowning them to death with vomit which kind of changed my perspective of that for me. I also think her little chant before doing it is neat and the backhand she does at the end of it is downright hilarious LOL

This would have the exact opposite effect.
"No One Escapes Death" - except the other 3 Survivors because they all hit the door and bailed out while you were stunned throughout the entire Mori animation gratuitously killing their ONE friend.
This is what a lot of people already do unless they know exactly where the lit totem for NOED is.
One kill is better than none but killers shouldn't be relying on NOED to help them secure many downs anyhow.

Now that ds is being balanced should noed receive the same treatment?
Noed is obviously a pretty disagreed topic to talk about but what’s something most people could agree on?
Now before people start typing away saying “just do bones”, don’t. Yes you could say the perk has counterplay for that reason but does that make it fair? no. Now you could also say that the counterplay ds is too just slug but does that make ds fair? no, ds is complete bs. Both ds and noed have counterplay but that doesn’t make them fair.
Nord basically just guarantees the killer a kill for no reason and is that fair? maybe in a balanced perspective but that doesn’t mean the perk is fine in its current condition. Balanced or not, the perk is just straight up unhealthy for the game and needs to be altered in a way where it’s still strong but not bullsh1t and doesn’t just guarantee a free kill for no reason.
What are some ways you people would suggest tweaking it to be more healthy and balanced?
My idea has always been to remove the Exposed status effect and instead give the Killer the ability to mori survivors regardless of their hook states.
They'd still keep the speed boost as well just no instant down. Personally I think it fits the idea of "No one escapes death" much better and allows the perk to retain a level of respect and power.
Imagine going all match without being hooked and then getting mori'd at the end due to NOED lol kinda like a Rancor sort of thing but yeah. I just like the idea of baking moris into perks now since the mori offerings are hot garbage and this would make NOED feel better for Survivors because they can't be OHKOd by it but good for Killers because they can mori anyone they want with no hook pre requisites
-
1. You already have to pay BP to unlock and upgrade perks.
2. DS isn't going to be very meta after its giant nerf so uh, yeah lol.
I think a system like this is interesting on paper but I really don't like the idea of it since the grind is already really difficult for newer players and it wouldn't really affect people who have been playing for a long time and have tons of BP. I can also see killers getting upset that they'd have to shell out BP for strong perks like Pop or Ruin etc.
Tldr if you had to (Potentially) buy a character and burn through blood webs, sinking lots of BP to unlock the damn perk and then upgrade it with even more I think that should be more than enough investment.
-
This is really hard since they're both stealth based killers..
I feel like Ghostface probably has the upper hand in terms of physical strength whereas Pig has the upper hand in dexterity and cunning.
I know Ghostface is a seasoned stalker but Amanda has shown in the movies that she is extremely adept at manipulation, hiding and surprise ambush. Honestly I think both their powers are kind of useless on each other what with Ghostface having to expose by looking for a long time and Reverse Bear Traps only being applicable to someone knocked down and incapacitated it would mostly be a fight between them and their knives I guess lol
It doesn't help that I love both of them either.. I'm going to say Pig though.
Amanda thinks like Jigsaw and she'd never let herself get caught out. Ghostface in most if not all of the movies (If I'm not mistaken) always gets caught in the end and killed so he seems more liable to slip in human error. Idk, when I think of Jigsaw and Amanda I just can't think of either one making fatal mistakes they have everything planned out methodically so I think she'd lead him into a trap if she didn't think she could take him on in a 1v1
So yeah, Pig ftw lol

I don’t want them to increase gen times tbh. Gens are boring enough as it is. I think they should make it where survivors can’t immediately spawn on top of gens.
This is a pretty good idea actually! It IS rather silly when survivors spawn on their own gens at the start of the match >.>
This same thing can apply to totems. It's really sad when a survivor spawns in literally on a lit totem lol
-
Technically your teammates are punishing themselves by not coming and saving you as it becomes a nasty 1v3 if you die on first hook for no real reason.
I can understand if you're being camped by a Leatherface though. Remember the general consensus on him is to just let him have his face camped victim and gen rush. It's incredibly hard to save against him. If you're lucky it usually ends with a trade via borrowed time.
Anyways it's all just difficult. Obviously survivors need to save their teammates more. Idk why they don't sometimes. I get that it can feel hopeless against camping killers but like.. Idk you just gotta get over it. When I was new to the game I was legit terrified of ever going for saves but you get better at it over time. Now it's like my favorite thing to do because of how many blood points you get and it feels good to be the savior and take protection hits for your allies or use things like We'll Make It etc.
I'm not sure how but BHVR needs to incentivize saving your allies more (Even though you already get lots of BP for it). Idk you'd think that saving your ally and getting them back on gens with you would be good enough but I just can't get behind punishing them anymore than they already are punished by losing a whole survivor because they didn't act for some odd reason.
-
Personally I think one would be better to build around just one of the two.
Pop goes the weasel?
Bring perks that incentivize kicking gens and or helping you catch survivors more easily. Oppression goes really well with Pop and otherwise I like to use things like Discordance or Tinkerer to know where to use Pop.
Ruin?
Bring Hexes like Haunted Grounds or Hex protection perks like Undying or Thrill of the Hunt and then something to help yourself constantly in the event you lose all your hexes again, Discordance and Tinkerer are amazing information perks.
Corrupt Intervention while I love it is mostly suited to setup killers and operates on a different dynamic in comparison to pop and ruin.
-
My idea for reworking Poised:
When you stop working on a generator, you leave no scratch marks for 3 seconds.
Poised has a cooldown of 60/50/40 seconds.
It would be comparable to Dance With Me where you could get many uses out of it throughout the match thanks to having a simple activation condition and a cooldown attached to it.
I actually really love your idea for Solidarity that's cute and really brings it in line more with the definition of be perk. Quieting a survivor while healing would actually be a very underrated effect if they don't have Iron Will!
-
I guess so because I forgot.
That's actually so sad. Like when we get new survivors and killers I don't think it's asking too much to have perks that WORK at the very least much less be really good and or potentially meta defining.
-
Sometimes I wonder if BHVR likes having this gap between swf and solo queue survivors
-
Will it really stop tunneling?
What's stopping a killer from slugging someone for its duration even after the nerfs lol
-
If you decide to slug be careful as you do need to hook people in order to use Pop.
Pop is just so good like ugh
-
The problem with nerfing dead hard is no matter how you nerf it it will end up extremely bad / probably useless.
For example let's go with the ideas killers commonly pitch for nerfing it:
1. Greatly nerf its distance traveled
It already doesn't give you THAT much distance. It's only felt when it let's a survivor make it to a life saving pallet or window vault etc. Literally every other exhaustion perk will give you far more distance than dead hard does by default. Obviously dead hard can potentially give you more by allowing you to get to a safe zone.
2. Remove the invincibility frames from it
I don't really like this idea but if you do this then all you get is a dash forward. Fun fact, some people use Sprint Burst in this fashion, they bait the killer to attack them while they're walking and they sprint burst away before they can get hit. So it basically would be kind of like that? But the issue would still remain of dead hard allowing survivors to make it to safe pallets, just without the guarantee of invincibility.
So that's why killers want it to be nerfed both ways usually which would make it actually 100% useless but I guess that's what they want.
Personally I just want it to not work over Trapper bear traps. I feel like dead hard is perfectly fine in its current state when compared to the other exhaustion perks. I get it, it takes some game sense and smart playing to bait it out and play around it but at the end of the day I genuinely feel like it's just people wanting it nerfed to be useless instead of learning how to deal with it. It's literally the most predictable exhaustion perk ever like come on people 😭
-
@Marigoria said:
Which perk do you think we should complain next?
When I play killer, I find sprint burst quite annoying, can that be next?
Perks shouldn't give you advantages, they should all work like no mither. While we're talking about no mither, can we please remove the part where a survivor can get up from the ground? Kind of OP to have an infinite uses unbreakable.
It's like they hate all exhaustion perks lately, not just Dead hard.
Sprint burst gets a lot of hate and I know killers also don't like lithe since lithe is kind of lowkey sleeper the best exhaustion perk.
But yeah guarantee it they just want all exhaustion perks to be nerfed drastically somehow for no reason and it's kind of sad like I don't feel this when I play killer lol
-
What if, we put feedback and ideas in the feedback discussions?

I've gone from switching my build and bringing perks like Spine Chill + Resilience, and those helped a bit during chases.... to just throwing pallets down way early.
I didn't think it was that bad until I started seeing killers swing very early, which was a huge indicator that it was going to be one of those matches.
I'm just curious what everyone is doing to half way enjoy survivor atm.
I played one match and decided it was a no go until they fix this hit delay problem.
So I basically will be playing other games for 2 patches. Feels nice
-
The problem with people wanting to nerf dead hard is that if you nerf it literally any way it becomes pretty useless and nobody would ever run it then.
Whether people like it or not it's a perk that requires good game sense and some skill in using (Predicting a killers actions) and it either saves your life or ends up being a WASTE of exhaustion perk potential.
Someone running dead hard could easily use a much more consistent exhaustion perk like sprint burst which killers also complain about and I think that at the end of the day this all boils down to killers having a major problem with exhaustion perks in general since I've heard complaints about literally every single one.
Personally I'm on the side of dead hard not getting nerfed since it is entirely possible to play around it. It's pretty obvious when survivors have it and are looking to use it and that's how you exploit it. I understand it's pretty unfair against Nurse but idk, seems like an acceptable counter to me just like bringing Iron Will actually gives people a chance against Spirit.
-
You don't chase as Hag.
Set up your web then coax survivors into it. Try your best to not play outside of your web or if you do only do so to chase survivors into your web.
This is the difference good and bad Hag players.

This recent patch has everyone in a riot and i don't see much of a reason why you're all acting like the games dying in the water. I've played the newest features since the new Archives started and i find the game still very playable.
Are hitboxes a problem? Yeah, i've noticed it too, but i'm not yelling about it. I've been both Survivor and Killer and i'm still escaping and getting kills.
Are there glitches in the newest patch? Yeah, but when isn't there? They can't catch onto everything until we let them know about it. Glitches happen all the time, but the Devs are actually doing something about it, unlike other companies who leave their game and not look back. Anyone seen anything new about that Last Year game? There was meant to be a new killer coming and i haven't seen anything about it since. I never played it, but i look these things up.
The Devs are actually trying to fix the problem as quick as they can, so can everyone stop going on about the bugs like they're staying? I don't hold this kind of thing on the Devs. In fact, the only thing i'm upset with them about is the lack of any news on Chapter 19.
So can everyone just stop being so dramatic! The game isn't over and its being patched, so just cool it, k?
Why should we give them a break when they work at their own leisure?
BHVR has it VERY easy and they make a LOT of money regardless of whether their product is good or not because they know they have the only game like this.
The fact that hit delay won't be fixed until two patches out is actually ridiculous and should be a perfect example of what I mean.

It's dumb you have to run kindred in solo queue a lot of the time, you shouldn't have to waste a perk slot on that kinda thing- but it helps.
I wish they would add what scott suggested, with a communication system via pre made selectable messages, that would help a lot.
I am surprised they were at least doing gens, that's more than I ever get haha.

I'm kind of shocked it wasn't done sooner much less at all.
But no, let's rework survivor animations and break the game instead of making healthy changes to solo queue lol

Definitely Spirit. She's brutal with the katana. The problem with Nurse is that she can't blink without going into her fatigue stun and I feel like that window of opportunity is all Spirit would need to ambush Nurse. Additionally I feel like phasing > blinking in a 1v1 since blinking results in a massive vulnerable state whereas phasing does not.
I feel like Nurse just isn't suited to 1v1 against any kind of monster on equal fighting terms as her because going into a self stun after blinking ONCE is like a death sentence

Just a little discussion on unbreakable sets, why they exist, and why the bug might have been fixed.
Yesterday, Behaviour made the choice to fix the (community beloved) bug that allowed us to mix unbreakable sets of cosmetics. Many in the community are understandably upset that their unofficial way to mix cosmetics was taken away when other bugs that make gameplay awful still exist and aren't prioritized. Heaven knows Behaviour has a long laundry list of requested things, but why was this one prioritized?
A common answer I hear is "licensing issues". As of right now, Cheryl is the only character with unbreakable sets that I know of. The rest with sets (Nea, Kate, Jane, etc) are original content characters. No copyright problems exist with their OC. So why not just make Cheryl's sets unbreakable? (I also want to add that Cheryl is allowed to wear several different shirts with her base green skirt that did not explicitly exist in Silent Hill Games. Would Konami really be so particular to not want "Fresh Start" Cheryl being mixed with a green top or a Christmas sweater? I don't think so.
Another answer I hear is "clipping issues". Yes, some cosmetics just don't mix. Everyone has seen torso-less Kate from her Lady Volksfest outfit. But most of the outfits I have seen created by the glitch have absolutely no clipping or graphical issues. Kate's flower crown on a pink sweater or Jane's Greek hair with a different outfit? No issues. Why not simply link the pieces that would cause problems?
I think the main motivation for unbreakable sets is simple: cold, hard cash. Keeping desirable heads attached to bodies means more revenue for Behaviour. More people willing to spend bigger for pieces they want.
What I don't understand is this: People were more willing to purchase sets knowing they could mix it with other cosmetics. So why take that away from the community? And more importantly, why make unbreakable sets in the first place when it is obvious that clipping and licensing is not really the issue most of the time?
"No no no. This makes too much sense you guys aren't supposed to be having fun of any kind."

Huntress hands down lol
She takes down Russian soldiers who have guns with no problem and she just looks stronger than Deathslinger. I know he's probably more intelligent and could devise something to help give him the edge but idk. Huntress is literally a hunter and I'm sure she'd get the jump on him regardless and be lethal in CQC or from afar. I just don't see it going well for Deathslinger no matter what in fact if he knew what was good for him he'd probably steer clear of Huntress and escape lol

PLEASE this would be a godsend.
It's so upsetting when it's just a completely wasted perk slot against Freddy and any killer with the capability to become Undetectable.
