  • I can't speak of everyone but 99% of the time, if I bring the killer to you it wasn't on purpose. I've got a big bastard chasing me with a sword, I'm running to whatever looks closest that will let me get away.

It's actually one of the nice perks of BOND. Usually I can use it to know where to go to help do gens but when I have that on, it helps me know where NOT to go to if I've got a killer breathing down my neck.

  • Then they'll check them twice. Going to find out who's naughty or nice

    ...I apologize for nothing!

  • You might as well ask fish to stop swimming or birds to stop flying

  • They are. You lose points if you are camping the hook.

  • I don't know about you but if I'm sprinting at something fast enough to slide across it, there's no way in hell I'd be able to just stop on a dime and flip back over to the other side...

If you really want to escape, don't take anything the killer does for granted and always play as if you are about to die. If you let your guard up that's completely your fault.

That's basically what I do. It sucks if I used a good offering or whatnot but at that point, I just want to move on to the next game as we just spent an entire game wasting our time. The most I'll do is go totem hunting after I 99 a gate just in case...

  • Honestly, I don't mind it all that much. Maybe I should mind it more but I don't ever lobby dodge so no matter what they switch to, I'll go against it.

Although that is a very quick way to get on my poo list. If you switched characters to have a key or something strong and I have the choice between going after you and another survivor, I'm going after you. I won't "tunnel" in the sense that I exclusively go after you but if there's a coin flip choice, you're the one I'm gunning for when you pull that kind of ish.

  • The game has been especially choppy lately for me. It's most infuriating when I'm on someone's ass with Leatherface slinging my chainsaw and all of a sudden I've slammed into a wall instead because the game had a stutter step for a second. It seems to be getting worse and worse. I'm hoping to get a Xbox Series X as soon as the bastards are actually available so I'm hoping that'll fix it as to be honest, I don't think this is something BHVR intends to fix unfortunately...

Correct me if I'm wrong but getting the double pip is what counts towards the adepts and the lower your rank is, the lower the threshold is for the double pip. So yes, unless the devs change it, it should be easier to get adepts in the sense that you don't need 4 iri emblems.

I actually was not aware of that but it sounds like from other answers on the thread you are correct

  • I doubt it. If it works the way it's "supposed" to (we saw how well that went with the first shot of MMR), you'll still be playing the same skill level as you, just the rank will mean nothing except what kind of "bonus check" you get each month.

  • The bottle increases The Clowns speed as well. So yeah, it'll increase the survivors speed if the player screws up their throw or places it badly. Isn't this what people want? A killer who takes more skill but also has a potential drawback if they screw it up?

  • It's friggin brutal sometimes. Especially when you lose the Adept because someone found a damn key or just hid for the Hatch...

  • The Asylum looks awesome but I really do hope The Game gets the update sooner (assuming they're not at the same time as BHVR likes to make these "Choose one" posts and then do both anyway).

The Game (especially areas in the basement is downright unplayable as a killer because you can't see anything down there. You get a dark clothed survivor just hiding in the corner, there's a decent chance they're going to get away with it unless you specifically and meticulously check every single dark area. The new map looks considerably brighter, which would be a huge plus for that map.

  • Unfortunately people who are doing it to be nice and get everyone extra points are so overshadowed by people just being jerks that I've stopped going over to see.

It sucks because if someone has WGLF, an extra hit or two might be huge for their BP but too many people just mock you and then leave (not even giving you the courtesy of the tiny points for hitting them) that it's not worth it for me as a killer to go over and get figuratively slapped in the face 75% of the time.

  • It usually works against newer/inexperienced killers a lot more than experienced killers. An experienced killer knows that when the guy who was just unhooked charges at them, they're gonna have BT so either go around them or wait 20 seconds before you slap them down. Or I'll see someone run into a locker when I'm chasing them and just stutter step backwards once I'm "in range" of Head-On so they burst out and jump right into my waiting blade.

Usually these tactics work against unexperienced killers because...well...they've never experienced these situations. Once you learn how to anticipate it, it can be countered but that takes time and playthroughs to learn.

  • Since it just got bumped to feedback for some reason, I'll just post what I just posted in the other Myers thread...

The only thing I want changed with Myers is that his power shouldn't "run out". No other killer has that restriction on them where they just can't use their powers anymore so why the heck does he?

  • The only thing I want changed with Myers is that his power shouldn't "run out". No other killer has that restriction on them where they just can't use their powers anymore so why the heck does he?

  • I'm not sure it's quite Pay to Win...but it's dangerously close to flirting with that line.

Pay to Win doesn't necessarily mean you CAN'T get everything without paying for it but there are absolutely perks on paid for killers that are considered better. While you can eventually unlock these, it takes a lot of grinding and then a little bit of luck for the perks to show up in the Shrine.

The perks are (generally) pretty well balanced so I don't think there are any perks you HAVE to have to be competitive but there are definitely better perks in the "pay" pile over the free pile...

  • It would be nice. It's amazing how many times I'll blow by another survivor but I have no idea they're there or want me to come heal them or something. The only time I ever end up seeing them is when they have a flashlight so I hear them clicky click at me.

A whistle would be nice so if a survivor is running away from me and they can't see me right on their ass, I can whistle and get their damn attention!

Oh, I missed that buff then. But it's still crap, comparing to BBQ.

Yeah, I doubt anyone runs WGLF because of the gameplay perk :D

Although it does really come in handy when it is needed, especially against a slugging Twin but that's far too niche of a situation to justify running WGLF for anything but the Double BP

  • @Junylar said:

BBQ is literally two perks in one. But what is really interesting about it, is that even if it were indeed 2 separate perks (one for tracking and another for bp), both would still be S-tier. It's strange that they never thought about nerfing it.

Survivors have a similar perk for bloodpoints: We're Gonna Live Forever. But that one only gives bp stacks, and nothing else: it doesn't give any actual gameplay functionality like BBQ does. And I'm not even reminding that it takes a lot of sweat to get all 4 stacks on WGLF while you can always get all 4 stacks on BBQ without sweating much, since you only have to hook survivors once.

WGLF let's you pick up downed survivors at double speed

Whether that's enough to make it worth it or not is up to you but WGLF does have a positive effect for your gameplay

  • As other killers have stated/hinted at, I use BBQ for the Double BP

There are better perks out there that would give you similar information (like Thrilling Tremors) but BBQ gives me Double BP so I use BBQ. Take away the Double BP, I'd use one of the far better killer perks out there.

  • The Plague keeps throwing up on everything. She's also kind of rotting. As bad as many others might smell, there's no way anyone could beat out rotting flesh and vomit...

  • I'm going to give my cooked, completely biased opinion on this perk and there's nothing you can do about it!!!

    Wha ha haaaaa!

  • You can already tell this is BS

"The nightmare's weapon hitbox has been adjusted to his actual weapon length"

BHVR has stated many times that Freddy has the exact same range as every other killer in the game. The only reason he "lunges farther" is because his weapon and his stature is so short. His swing is the exact same as someone like Leatherface, but his weapon is short and he is short so he looks like he's reaching farther forward to compensate. In real life, it's the exact same swing distance.

  • ######### are gonna #########. They either bury their head in the sand and say "Even though we see countless threads of killers coming to the forum and downright QUITTING the game over this, I'm not bullying!!! It doesn't bother me, therefore it doesn't bother anyone" or they don't care that they're making someone else miserable.

Unfortunately there's not a lot you can do about it. ######### are gonna ######### and short of making some pretty draconian rules about it, people will always find a way to justify being an #########.

  • I think The Clown is just far better than people give him credit for. He's certainly not a Top Tier Killer but he really doesn't belong in the basement like everyone seems to think he does. So I think survivors get surprised if you end up being good with him because they just expect you to not do well when you're The Clown...

  • I swear my teammates specifically wait for me to use something good before they turn into raving morons. Bad items and offerings; we run with the efficiency of a 4 Man SWF squad!

Ran my BPS in that last game with a Purple Medkit? One person killers themselves on the first hook, another person killers themselves on the first hook, and the person who actually stuck around with me when I went to save them just ran to the killer. If you wanted to die so badly, you could have just died on the damn hook so that the killer didn't get a nice and loud HE'S OVER HERE!!!! notification from me saving your ass...

  • If someone last seconds swaps (especially to a key), by default I'm going after that person specifically.

I won't (necessarily) tunnel but if there is an equal option between going after two survivors, Swappy McSwapface is going to be my target.

Everyone else might get to use your key to escape but I'm going to do my best to make sure you don't get to.

  • Half the board thinks it's rude as F to try to unhook yourself when a teammate ran all that way to them and thinks the other half are being selfish A-holes

Half the board thinks it's perfectly fine to attempt to unhook yourself from the hook and that the other half is taking it way too seriously and it's funny so quit your whining

So flip a coin to determine what you should do :D

  • Am I the only weirdo that counts in his head the wiggle progress as killer?

It takes approx 20 seconds of full wiggling from a survivor (assuming no perks) to have them escape. I count in my head as soon as I pick someone up...

  • Have you never been super frustrated before? People do stupid things that are against their own self interest when they're mad. In this case, you quit or turn off the game or accidentally shatter your console when you punt it like Victor :D

Most people realize after the fact that was dumb but when you're upset, you do dumb things.

  • A "Dead Man's Switch" is something that is either activated (or deactivated) if someone gets killed (or otherwise incapacitated).

The most common form you'd see in movies is the guy with a bomb and his thumb on top of the button. If he is killed or incapacitated, the bomb goes off as his thumb no longer holds the button down.

  • I've never ran into a killer cheating (or if they were, they were sneaky enough about it that I didn't notice).

I've ran into three survivors cheating, all with the same cheat setup. They could "hook" themselves anywhere they wanted to (so I couldn't get by them) and it instantly healed them all the way when they "got down". It didn't count as an actual hooking though so they could just keep doing it to either get in my way, heal themselves the few times I could actually get a hit in, or block me in doorways and forcing me to go around.

  • You already get "invincible" survivors as it is with rushing the killer when they have BT/DS.

I can't imagine how bad it would get if the recently unhooked survivor could harass the killer at their whim because the killer is either forced to hit them and lose out points or ignore them and try to play around the survivor constantly getting in their way...

  • @Xyvielia said:

Kate and Dwight look like the survivor version of The Twins right there

Dwight sends out The Kate when he needs something outside the locker he's hiding in :D

  • It probably depends on if you use totems or not

I do not so this would be great for me. Survivors would use time to do totems.

If I used totems, I imagine this would be bad for me because I need those totems to not be done so I get powers.

  • @Kind_Lemon said:

For killers like Myers, there are alternative visual indicators that are used. For Hillbilly, there's a constant sound when using his power.

It's a shame Oni doesn't have that in some capacity.

But Oni does have other indicators. When he goes into his Berserk mode, he screams. When he's in Berserk mode, he holds his big ass club instead of the sword. When he runs, he makes that weird SWOSH noise. Then when he ends, he makes a grunt and a kind of a power down noise.

That doesn't mean it would hurt to give him a color blind mode, but there are plenty of non-color based ways to tell when the Oni is going Super Saiyan on the survivors.

  • I think too a lot of the PC players have realized if they do that weird little wiggle walk in those tight corridors, the scratch marks will appear (so even if they don't actually go down the hallway, it leaves just enough scratch marks in that direction that it LOOKS like they could have gone that way since the wall is cutting the killers viewpoint off).

You see players do the wiggle walk a lot when they vault through a window and the killer is starting their animation to walk over the window for I imagine the same reason. It takes the survivor half a second to do the wiggle but those scratchmarks might be enough to confuse the killer into either killing a few more seconds or make them lose you completely.

I'm allowed to play favorites. If I want a pet survivor, I'll have a pet survivor. They're cute, cuddlely, and they do that thing where they try to fix my generators.

Are you sure you're ready for a pet survivor? Remember, if we get you one, you have to walk it and clean their lockers when they make a mess and down them every once in a while to keep them on their toes. It's a lot of responsibility young man and I'm not taking care of your survivor if you get bored in two weeks of it trying to throw pallets on your head and stabbing you when you pick it up before 60 seconds are up...

He wasn’t talking about that he was actually talking about what if they added people like Ted Bundy or John Wayne Gacy or Jeffry Dalmar

    That's my point.

Creeper itself did nothing wrong, the director of the movies was a bad person.

Someone like Bundy himself was the bad person. If they wouldn't consider letting The Creeper in the game, whose only crime is his director was a piece of ######### human into the game, it would be very unlikely that they would even consider letting an ACTUAL piece of ######### human like a real life serial killer in the game.

  • It does suck. I've had those games before (and I've uninstalled the game twice after a few particularly awful rounds) so I 100% feel you on this OP. Good luck out there. I hope to see you back one day but if you are gone and done forever, I'd completely understand why.

  • I sincerely doubt they'd ever do that. They have stated in the past that The Creeper (from Jeepers Creepers) wouldn't be considered because the director of the movie was an awful person (pedophilia charges). The Creeper himself isn't directly involved in any wrong-doing.

I can't imagine if they wouldn't let The Creeper in because the director of his movie was an awful person that they would turn around and let actual awful people in as killers...

  • I think there are very very very very VERY few players who want the button mashing system.

Especially those of us on console who get killed constantly as the frame rate poops itself every so often...

  • @Yords said:

It can be pretty powerful only if you are up against all solo survivors.

    This

I had a survivor send me a bunch of messages (Xbox) after the match PISSED at me because he thought I was hiding instead of going to go save him.

Brah, the Bubba had Knockout, I have no idea where the hell you are. Instead of sending me a bunch of messages yelling at me for not picking you up, maybe you should have figured out that no one could see anyone's downed image and sent me a message with your damn location :D

  • I can absolutely understand why someone would get frustrated and find it an absolute moral killer playing...uh...killer

It is very unfortunate and even more unfortunate, I don't know what I can tell you to make it better. There are going to be matches where you stomp the survivors and there are going to be matches where the survivors stomp you (and I've found a lot of survivors LOVE rubbing that ish in your face).

All you can do is move on to the next match or maybe take a break if you're finding it's getting to you. I've found that if it's not going well, I switch to a killer that's not expected to do well and just play for funsy (someone like Plague or Clown, the killers that are generally considered the low tier peeps). For some reason for me at least, that helps me somehow get less frustrated while playing, even if the survivors are jerks about it. Maybe it's just because I don't expect to do well so if it goes sideways, I don't really care nearly as much.

  • So...you tunneled them but you're mad that they said you were tunneling?

You can use whatever justification you want for why you tunneling is OK or why they shouldn't complain that tunneling exists but it sounds like you're mad that they called you a tunneler when you tunneled them...
