This thread hurts my brain to read. Mori's are fine. Keys are fine. Sometimes they suck to play against and feel unfair. But a key is useless without completed gens. A mori is useless if they can't hook a survivor. They have conditions which make them fair.

Shut up, you probably use NOED you noob.
And of course you have no sympathy, you're most likely a killer main.
And I'm sorry, since when is Borrowed Time bad? Let me guess, your scrub Lord is also a tunneller.
Let me take another guess, yOu hAtE dS too right?
Let me take another guess, when people say nErF NoEd, you say "dOnt gEt caUghT hew hewwww" but ######### about Claudettes camo.
Pathetix.
Bit of an overreaction that. Though honestly bt is fine. It's an anti camper perk.
-
Maybe implement a cut off every 5 levels. You only go back further during rank reset if you at one of those 5 level intervals.
-
Are you meaning intentionally deranking or during rank reset?
-
@Peanits has always been great about keeping people informed. @not_Queen@not_Queef because I may or may not have a slight crush.
-
I'd be down.
-
Hide all offerings till the end game screen. Problem solved.
-
Add an action speed debuff while fully sick. 15-25%. Problem solved.
-
Plenty of people have criticized the game without getting banned. The difference is those people offer constructive criticism. They don't just go on a tirade.
-
I'm personally unlikely to bother with it unless there's more in play then cosmetics. As for cost, I'd be surprised if it was more then $10. They know this isn't a really popular idea. Making it too expensive will kill any chance they have of making it work.

What about deliberately hiding all the time and not rescuing somone that would be considered toxic especially when its shown the killers after another survivor if people do that to me I sell them out because your not doing anything but forcing a derank on yourself so why would I help you
That wouldn't be toxic from a killers perspective.

@thrawn3054 no I never do that, but still I feel myself toxic when playing as survivors (they mostly hit me when I'm hooked so that's why I feel so). Usually I manage to loop the killer for 2-3 gens per game cause I'm solo and need some attention for teammates for not being immersed and get us all kill. It's not that I'm a professional survivor but imagine a 4 SWF doing that...
You haven't been toxic in that case. They're just feeling tilted because they had trouble catching you. I always take it as a compliment when they are aggravated enough to stand there hitting me.

@Dehitay said:
All they're changing is the routing around the pallets. But by increasing the amount of pallets in exchange for decreasing the ease of avoiding the killer, they're actually buffing survivors although I doubt they realize that. More pallets means they're easier to find and extend the time they can delay the killer. The visual they gave is most likely inaccurate, but if it's a sign of things to come, it'll end up doubling the number of pallets in the game.
I interrupted it as they were changing pallet spawns. Not adding more. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
-
Basically what has already been said. Don't tbag, flashlight click, or be rude in end game chat/send rude messages.
-
I did one character to get the achievements. I'll most likely never bother with another as you get nothing for doing it.

Dwight was one of the first 4 survivors, he's also the one most people load up into the game seeing, it's more likely than not that people just played with him and go attached to him when they first play because that's what they see.
That's kind of how I got to like him. I was going for the Adept Dwight trophy and had a good time with his perks. After that, for some reason I really enjoyed playing Dwight. My mains are Claudette (she was my first survivor), Feng (first character to level 50), and Dwight.
-
They did but as you can see it doesn't really deter them from doing it. Unfortunately camping will continue so long as camping remains effective.
-
Dwight is a beast. In all seriousness though he has two really good perks. People find something they like about their main. Dwight is one of my mains simply because I enjoy him. Not really sure why.
-
No Sidney or Woodsboro is sad. I knew before the stream. Still would have been awesome.

@thrawn3054 Killers usually don't complain about the looping itself, they complain about not having enough time for chases. Chases are the fun part, but gens are currently done too fast.
@NoShinyPony I have to disagree. I've seen plenty of them complain about looping. That said, I agree gens go too fast.
-
@Bbbrian2013 I know why they were there. I'd have just preferred less fluff and more information.
-
Cause he's in charge. I wish the stream had been more to the point. All the breaks to the band were just annoying.

See above.

It might not affect me, but it could affect others who feel pressured into getting something that’s limited. Previous limited cosmetics were free to compensate for you possibly not getting them, but now you have to pay for them at a CHANCE to get what you want. I hope I don’t have to describe how bad this is for the common consumer or new player, because it is very anti-consumer.

You’re part of the problem, if you can’t see how this is bad for this game then you’re only reinforcing scummy business practices that do nothing but hurt the consumer. OverWatch pulled the same ######### and it was just as bad, and DbD’s situation is argueably worse. I have and probably still will continue to buy store based cosmetics, but I cannot and will never support this fûcking atrocious decision.
I don't support or oppose this. Why? Because it's cosmetics. It's a non issue. If you want to buy in for them you can. If not you don't have to. As for those who "feel pressured " they need to grow up. The I feel pressured thing is a lame excuse for making poor choices.
-
Jesus another of these threads? It's cosmetics. Buy it or don't and quit whining about it.

Thats not true my friend @Peanits did comment on a post awhile back saying a chapter can refer to a solo character.
They can make that argument, but it's crap. It takes all three things to make a chapter. It's a paragraph otherwise. Which having a paragraph is fine. Just don't pretend it is what it isn't.
-
@Detective_Jonathan said:
good, those people are famous enough already, they don’t need to be referenced anywhere else

Yo, all maps with infinite windows will be reworked in mid patch? 😲
As I understood it they are starting with Bedham. That's not the last map, just the first.
-
@weirdkid5 So you tell people to discuss, then tell them not to comment if what they say doesn't fit your view. I cannot stress enough it is just cosmetics. You are free to buy them or not as you like. They don't effect game play. Your complaint seems to come down to "I want free things, how dare they let people buy them". Do I think DbD needs this? No. But it's nothing to get worked up over.
-
@FireHazard The Freddy changes (from what I caught, the audio has been a bit off for me) sound amazing. I don't agree with the OP though.
-
So in your mind survivors should lose no matter how well they play. Got it.

Again. It's cosmetics. If you can't handle the chance of not having them maybe you're not enough of an adult to be trusted with disposable income.

It's cosmetics. Calm down.

Multiple people on a single gen is already slower than on seperate gens anyway
The lost time is minimal and rewards you with those sweet coop points. That said it's why I run Prove Thy Self.

People don't DC about OP setups. People DC because they don't want to lose.
People DC when they're downed too fast, when their teammates rescue them unsafely etc.
Thing is, if you're not ready for the possibility of losing, DON'T PLAY THE DAMN GAME.
It's such an entitled, spoiled thing to do. "Well I'm probably gonna lose so bye". Every game has people winning AND people losing. Sometimes you'll lose. If you DC because of that you're a ######### competitor.
People DC for a bunch of reasons. Not all those reasons are because they don't want to lose or because of some childish reason.

In a bizarre turn of events today a full 3/4 of the DbD community succumbed to alcohol poisoning.

If it had been me I'd have gone with a simple rework. I'd have changed it so survivors were basically half asleep already while facing Freddy. He'd have been able to attack and interact like any normal killer. In this state I'd have made him a bit like Wraith in that you can see him but not fully. I'd then have left Dream Demon as is. I think this one small change would have been huge for him. As to what they'll actually do, I have no idea.

@Carpemortum said:
@thrawn3054 of course people are. Theres no DC punishment and Legion got changed basically because of it. They see what gets things done. Albeit in a ######### fashion.
@Carpemortum I can only guess, but I think that is (at least in part) what was happening to FireHazard. I do personally find Spirit annoying to play against, but hardly worth dcing over.
-
Killers complain about looping so you stealth. They complain about stealth so you loop. There really is no winning. I play as Claudette (she's one of my three mains) and half the time do more gens and saves then th rest of my team combined. Just because a player prefers stealth doesn't mean they don't do things for the team.
-
@FireHazard Has the amount of DC's stayed consistent since your op? If not you might have just hit some bad luck. Also were you playing Spirit all night? If so that could be part of the cause. Understand I'm not condoning it. I have a theory that people are dcing against certain killers in an attempt to get them nerfed as they did with Legion.

There is a limitation as a killer. U cant win against sweaty swf groups who don't care about ruin and finish gens in normal time while beeing optimal af with looping and not wasting pallets on a map like bloodlodge. Unless u play nurse, you will get stomped. Even as Billy, u can sometimes feel hopeless in such a situation. The only hope u can have is that ur opponents are making some mistakes and u are ready for it to punish that. Otherwise gg.
So you think if the survivors play optimally and make no mistakes they should still lose?

I'm honestly obsessed with Haddonfield.
I like Haddonfield because it's so different from the other maps and because Halloween is my favorite horror franchise.
-
They either:
A) Want to bully the killer.
B) Have had a rough few games and are looking for an easier time.
C) Simply like Haddonfield.
-
He's fine.

Well I've never played dbd on PC so it's hard to compare. From what I've seen of PC players though, they can move much easier and more precisely then console. So I'd say yes it's probably harder.

Lol. I feel better to know I'm not the only one who thought this. I also thought you ran slower while injured.

I don't know why many people are so obsessed with new Survivors. Survivors are literally just skins and nothing more. Solo Survivor dlc's are the most boring sh** in this game
Probably because Sidney is a horror icon at this point.

I'd suggested in the past that gen repair speed be tied to totems. My idea was that for each totem left on the map survivors suffer from a 5% repair speed penalty (25% max). This would give them incentive to break totems which buys the killer time. If they choose to ignore the totems it still buys time.
