Battle Pass confirmed

Comments

  • Limited time as well gotta get your cosmetics in those 3 rift months or they're gone.

  • It said 'accessible via play time' underneath both Free and Paid.

So I'm guessing you can purchase access through Iridescent Shards, which would be fine to me.

  • Can't wait.... /s

@Visionmaker You're too much of an optimist. They put that on there, along with the "NO PAY TO WIN" to generate positive hype for it. It'll never end up as good as they make it seem to be.

  • It's cosmetics. Calm down.

  • @thrawn3054 Inb4 FOMO argument because its paid and time limited.

Please don't normalize this #########. Its a predatory type of monetization that's playing on your fear of missing out. The fact that they're also locking LORE behind this..

  • I'm glad that you can get it with playtime but the battle pass just isn't needed in dbd.

Well, if I'm wrong, I hope it's at least cheap if it turns out as greedy as everyone else expects.

  • how is a battlepass something bad though?

they clearly stated that both the paid and the free path would only grant you cosmetic rewards, no pay2win. with other words, it would just be like purchasing auric cells and buying a cosmetic with them. just that you can achieve them with playtime now (and probaply that you can gain more cosmetics than by directly buying them).

this would give players a reason to play the game more frequently, which in my eyes is nothing bad.

just because we gat a battlepass now does not mean this game turns into Fortnite.

Again. It's cosmetics. If you can't handle the chance of not having them maybe you're not enough of an adult to be trusted with disposable income.

    ^ This

There is a store system. The cosmetics can be sold there. A battle pass will force you to pay for crap cosmetics you don't care about

  • Why not just Have a section in the store and put those cosmetics in the store for a limited time when the new archive thing comes out rather then making a paid pass of the archive.

  • I'm just glad it's not p2w.

There is no reason to timegate cosmetics. They should be available always

  • Tbf, its only cosmetics so i wouldnt really give a #########. If it was legit pay to win id be pissed, but its not so idc

So you gain or lose nothing since you don't care.

Let the people who want to voice against it voice against it. Since you don't lose anything if it never happens, since you don't care.

  • If it is an option to pay a small amount for random cosmetics I wouldn't normally have purchased otherwise, then I think it it is a good idea. Anyone who doesn't want it doesn't have to pay a penny.
