Yeah, exactly. I think that they changed her Traps in a way to be more consistent was good. Now if one Survivor gets the Trap off in their first try you know that the others will have to search at least 3 Boxes (with two of them having to search 4 Boxes). But Tampered Timer and other Add Ons keep the RNG. Tampered Timer on Coal Tower can be non-existent, Tampered Timer on Mothers Dwelling can mean death if you need to do 4 Boxes.
So I would really love if they improve her stealth and chase, because Pig has basically 3 powers - RBTs, Stealth and the Dash. And making her chase better by improving Stealth and Dash would make her overall better (even if they nerf Add Ons for the RBTs) and also more consistent and IMO also more fun. Because I personally like to use the Dash, but it can be highly frustrating.
You get me fr

Unfortunately it'd be a bad idea to change things like traps, as certain skins will most definitely be harder for survivors to see than others. Stuff like chainsaws, kanabo, and Victor should be allowed though.

I can give you a good Legion build if you're interested. I've been having great fun with it:
Enduring, Jolt, Ruin, Surveillance. Run this with the Iridescent button and the yellow mixtape that resets your power once you get stunned. Swing through every pallet and you can instantly break them (or get in a frenzy hit if they don't drop it) and either go for somebody else or chase the person you hit first if nobody else is around.
If you want a really sweaty build, replace Enduring with Pain Res. Enduring isn't always going to do much for you, but the slowdown from mending and the fact that you can break pallets instantly will help you mid-late game when Ruin inevitably gets cleansed or goes away if you kill somebody off.

I don't think refunds are given for any sort of micro-transaction. You just gotta spend 'em, dawg.

I was mainly talking about Exhaustion-Add Ons. Why do you make a Pig-Discussion out of it? I was only talking about her one Add On.
But if you want to hear some Off-Topic - I think many Add Ons regarding her Traps should be removed or reworked. Exhaustion and Mangled should not be a thing. Tampered Timer should be gone as well. And I would love some Add Ons which focus more on her Stealth and Ambush, because those two things are lackluster and are also part of her Power (not only the RBTs).
I think with the changes that a certain number of searches is hit when you use all of your RBTs her Slowdown is decent enough without that much focus on her Traps when it comes to Add Ons. But her Crouch and especially the Dash could use some Add On-Support.
This is what I've been saying for a while. They need to remove her insanely RNG-based add-ons (Tampered Timer + Crate of Gears) and buff her to, imo, give her more consistent chasing power. If she got just a slight tweak to make her a little bit better in chase I think she'd be in a pretty good spot.

Animations, yes. But paying for those cosmetics would be enough recompensation for such inconvinience.
What about lore? Lore can be tweaked through cosmetic on its own. We already know that there is infinite number of killers in infinite number of universes where lore could be different.
In one Nurse was killed, in another she commited suicide, in another it was an accident. All this is through her cosmetics (some through tomes which is not kanonical according to Killer history).
Other problems?
Oh, is that right? I've never heard differing lore for the same killer — I must have missed out!
-
Some of these would entail creating a whole new animation — Hag having pentagrams, for instance. It would also completely change her lore.

Do you think a BP reward would be enough or would it be meaningless? For example, you could get a "first hook" score event for each survivor that gives you like 5k?

The only one I know of is the code "WARRIORPUPPERS" for a charm dedicated to Puppers. If you're not familiar, he was a DBD streamer for years and he only just recently passed away from ALS/other health complications.

I like the perk. I’ll use it. That’s the great thing about so many perks so many different options and different people who might like it… Who knows maybe they’ll do away with bloodlust all together and make this the new norm.
need balanced maps first for that to happen

What a great solution. Let's just throw it in with the other 100 perks that never get used.

Hard to give any advice without specifics — which map, which killer, what items did they bring, were they a swf, etc — and even harder without video.

Exhaustion Add Ons should not be a thing anymore. Yes, they got nerfed (rightfully so since they were heavily outdated), but they should not exist at all. Yet BHVR gives Killers Exhaustion Add Ons (Singularity has one for example).
The worst offender is the one from Pig. Yes, it is not her best Add On, but it just promotes tunneling. Which should never be the playstyle of her but can help with that.
I don't think it promotes tunneling, but even if it did that's 3 people (presumably at least a couple without traps) that are free to do gens to their heart's content.
Pig has no real chasing potential so it's not crazy to assume that three gens could pop while she's chasing the one person with an RBT.

The pig one kinda works if you chase a survivor who hasnt gotten their trap off yet since it has no limit. As long as they have the trap. But yeah then you have other ones that are weird like artists.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/0JSKJUDE8SSS/screenshot-20230825-124232-chrome.jpg
Since if your that close you should be hitting anyway.
Chasing somebody with a trap on is useless though. You're already slowing them down by making them search boxes. IMO it's a waste of an add-on to run, except maybe if paired with the iri that makes everyone start with traps.
-
Eh. I don't know. I'm not the type of person to slug for a 4k, but getting all survivors is what a lot of people consider a "win" so it would feel kind of weird if this was implemented.
It wouldn't effect me either way but I imagine there would be some outrage.

As a survivor main. The killer should be able to see SWFs in lobbies. The killer should get scaling blood points for each partied survivor in the lobby. Generator repair time should be reduced for each solo survivor in the game.
This would increase lobby-dodging 10x

Yeah i get you it’s so sad really, there would be addons that would be fun and interesting to run if it weren’t for the players who use them for toxic reasons🙄
Yup. It's kind of the same reason a lot of powerful perks get nerfed or don't even make it to live — a perk that's strong on Trapper will be ridiculous on Nurse and Blight; an add-on that's strong for hit and run Spirit would be ridiculous on slug Spirit. :/

Must not be the case. Doc is highly inconsistent, I think it is due to Ping. You can shock them and they fully scream BEFORE the vault or Pallet Drop and STILL get it.
Okay, so I'm not crazy. I was wondering why that happened.
-
I play both, though I play killer more (I'd say it's probably a 70%/30% split) and I usually see it for killer. Even when it is on survivor, it's usually 25% or 50% rather than 100.
-
Truthfully I'm not sure why it's not much higher than it is. Gens take 80 seconds, it wouldn't be crazy to assume that 1/4 of a gen would net at least 1k points.
This is the biggest reason I started playing killer, truthfully; the gains are so much higher and for no reason.

@ReikoMori said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/389125/how-do-you-use-doctors-shock
You use his regular shock to deny survivors the chance to drop palettes and vault windows.
You use his big blast mainly as a info tool and generally to keep them hovering around a decently high level of madness.
Personally I'll shock someone right as their going into a pallet or vault then do a lunge to hit them if I'm close enough. Doing this prevents them from being able to drop the pallet when they want or being able to fast vault which keeps them from making a ton of space. If done right you shouldn't need bloodlust to begin with.
I must be shocking a bit late then. When I try to do what you're describing, they usually get the vault or drop off even though they also scream.

So another downside to the add-on would be to apply deep wound every single time a survivor is injured before being able to be downed the next time they are hit? So basically two downsides one being depleting the whole power if Spirit fails to land a hit IMMEDIATELY or lunges and the other applying deep wound every time an injured survivor is hit before they can be downed. Am i getting this right? If so, then i don’t think it would. Be too bad honestly as my play style is to always land instant accurate hits post-phase and i’d get to traverse the map thanks to the add-on
Right and I appreciate that, but you do understand why I say it would be too strong on a Spirit, not necessarily you, who wants to slug, right? That's the only issue I could really see with it. People like to play like tools to ruin the game for other people, so I could see an add-on like the one you described being used for that reason.
Sucks that certain members of the community act in such a way that we have to think like this, but I mean... here we are.

Yup. Even if she gets a few downs from using her one guaranteed fountain, it's pretty easy to reset. She's pretty weak right now with the MFT + Resilience meta too, I'd say.
-
By progression speed, do you mean healing or gens or both? If it applied to healing it wouldn't do much other than work as another Sloppy Butcher, and if you're talking about gens it would just be another thana but stronger.

It can be annoying but the issue I find is how many options there are now for giving endurance. It feels over used at this point.
Especially with MfT being the best version of like four other perks. I don't see why anyone would run Buckle Up, for example, when you could get the same effect plus run faster for it.

I said nothing about bleedout.
"A killer refusing to hook a survivor right in front of them is a pretty fringe case. Pretty sure if that's happening in a 30+ minute game you can report for taking hostage."
Surely you can understand why I assumed you meant a dying survivor, right?

@ProudRinMain said:

you know what, how about making the downside be about depleting the power bar fully if Spirit fails to hit a survivor IMMEDIATELY post-phase or if she lunges? That would make it a high risk, high reward add-on and make it an iridescent.
it would require you to be very precise in your phases and not just short bursting aimlessly hoping to get a hit by any means.
i dont know i just want a fun add-on for once 😭 anything, i’m not a toxic Spirit main i play fair and give everyone a chance my build is literally Beast of prey, Distressing, Hex: thrill of the hunt and lethal pursuer.it’s basically a build around getting blood points. And they could rework Dried cherry blossom so it wouldn’t be paired with it for easy hits.
That might work because it would reward using the power well, but again I think it would make slugging too strong.
As much as I hate deep wound as a mechanic, I feel like the only way an instant power recharge add-on would work is if the first hit while injured would induce deep wound instead of going into the dying state.

Survivors are guarantee losing if 1 dies with 2 Gens left. Result survivors have to rush Gen every match or they lose.
Play against Myer has the same problem. Either rush Gen, or risk 1 getting moried early and the match ends right there.
And its year 8, it isn’t healthy for the game to keep being like this.
I agree that the Tombstones add-ons are unhealthy for the game. The fact that they weren't removed years ago is laughable.
Myers overall feels like the forgotten step-child. His kit very much reflects how different the game was when he was released.

couldnt agree more as a survivor main. the main building window is INCREDIBLY safe and you can run the killer for so long wit hit, especially with MFT. the fact that if you block it off by using it too much, there is already another loop right next to you thats incredibly safe. know how to play your cards? the moment the main building window is unblocked, you can leave the loop and go back to main.
its truly disgusting balance wise, and the map isn't even that pretty, i dont understand how people think it is.
This was my exact thinking. You can loop main forever (especially if you have good window RNG) and then run to both gazebo and the truck out front and be totally fine. And even if you've used that, don't worry because there's another god pallet right on the side of the front porch!
I don't mind safe loops if the entire map doesn't consistent of them lmao

You can already do this. Walk up to the killer.
A killer refusing to hook a survivor right in front of them is a pretty fringe case. Pretty sure if that's happening in a 30+ minute game you can report for taking hostage.
The devs have stated multiple times that slugging until bleed out isn't a reportable offense, for "taking the game hostage" or otherwise. That's why the bleed out timer exists.
It sucks, and I'm not defending it, but it's not reportable.
-
I would rather die than have to deal with the Supernatural community coming to this game en mass.
I'm sorry, nothing against the show or the actors or anything, but that community is one of the absolute worst I've ever seen.

Yeah, chain hunt is ridiculously oppressive. I don't really like that a passive mechanic does so much of the work for him. It basically renders everyone useless for such a long time. Pair that with add ons that make it harder to find the box and faster start up on chain hunt, and you have a miserable match before even one gen is done.
Out of curiosity, do you feel the same way about Pig?
-
Removing passive phasing is not an equal downside to being able to instantly recharge your power and go for someone else. This would make slugging Spirit incredibly unfun to face.

By which time the unhooked is often gone.
I prefer the simpler approach: if you still want my attention after getting unhooked, I'll give you all of it until you're out of the game.
It's one of the few scenarios where I feel hard tunneling is totally justified.
Yeah, sometimes. Other times they'll stand there thinking they're a genius until they get hit right when their endurance runs out LOL
Funnies aside, yes, I know this is a situational solution at best.
-
Strange.
Also, please look behind you when you're running. The amount of survivors I see who don't do that is baffling.

That is pure perceptual bias at work.
You were physically doing more work thus your mind believes you getting better results, but the truth of the hard numbers is that it is taking exactly the same amount of time as it did in the past to wiggle off the killer's shoulders the only thing that has changed it that is you no longer are doing the same level of physical work.
It has always taken 16 seconds no matter which system was used.
