Weapon will be a Wooden Spoon and a Vacuum cleaner to slow you down or pull you over a pallet.
I was about to say the weapon should be a wooden spoon LOL
I remember my mom broken one over my ass when I was a kid, which just made her more mad. And my mother is thrifty, she buys stuff in bulk so she had like 2 more spoons to beat me with.
Ah the memories.

From what I understand he stalks survivors in 2 ways. The first seems on an individual basis where he applies Exposed to a single survivor at a time. The second is universal, where he loses his TR/red stain and becomes a stealth killer. Not 100% sure if that's it, but that's what I've gathered watching leaked game play.
So I imagine the idea would be to stalk survivors and put Exposed on them, then after getting your stealth you activate it when several survivors are Exposed so you can sneak up and one shot them.
-
If you want to depip, use Plunderer's/AITH and offer a White Ward. Search all the chests, take what you want and go jump in and out of a basement locker (this avoids Franklin's). Killer will come over and grab you out of the locker to hook. Die on the hook, and you will get to keep the item. This way you depip and farm items at the same time.

What about notification about Bloodpoints? Does the Doctor receive it, when he shocks someone with Calm Spirit?
Yes. But since you don't scream he won't know exactly where you are so you can actually juke him if it's through a wall or something.
-
It's pronounced SPRINTO BURSTO with a heavy Japanese accent, and you have to say that every time it activates or it doesn't count.
-
@drunky26 said:
How often does calm spirit actually make a difference in a match? (except when playing against doctor obviously, but that's also pretty rare)
Still wouldn't be worth taking imo :/
I've been running it and it does indeed make a difference. The fact you don't disturb crows is very underrated. You are basically free to roam about at any speed you want, as long as the killer doesn't physically see you those little bastards won't betray your position anymore. Good killers will see crows fly and then you get found.
It completely screws Doc and to a lesser extent Clown. It can be used to lose the killer when you get hit, particularly in corn and even more particularly against Nurse. You might not completely end the chase, but it can buy you a few extra seconds as a killer has to gain visual on you and can't use sound to track where you ran off to.
Also it hard counters Iron Maiden and Rancor. While those perks aren't used often, when they are it can be difficult to avoid. IM in particular means you can't use lockers to hide rom BBQ, but with Calm Spirit you still can.

@thesuicidefox if you angle it right then the tree can trigger BL.
It's not very reliable and requires you to effectively run to a dead zone to get it to proc. I run BL all the time and Shelter Woods is by far the worst map to have that perk.
-
Game is actually better for survivors than killers. Only certain killer builds will give an advantage. But there are 4 guaranteed god pallets on the map, and if survivors use Balanced Landing they get access to some very strong loops.
Shelter Woods is the best killer map IMO because it's small and there are some big dead zones. It's also the only map where Balanced Landing is useless. There is only 1 god pallet at shack.

@Nicholas said:
I'm confused by all these screams, I have never seen this happen before. When do you scream with MYC or IM or Rancor?
You scream when you rescue someone from a hook and MYC procs.
You scream when getting out of a locker and IM procs. This also shows the killer a bubble like Doc's scream revealing your location.
You do not scream when Rancor procs but your location is revealed by a bubble.
So when you run Calm Spirit, you do not scream nor is your location bubble revealed. You are invisible to IM and Rancor, like you would be invisible to aura perks using Distortion.
And because you do not disturb crows you are also immune to Spies. HOWEVER you can still trigger crows using Calm Spirit if you run and touch a crow directly, but your character model has to literally collide with the crow's model.
-
It felt weird at first but I like it. Would still like options for dead zones and aim acceleration.
-
It also hides the scream from MYC, which is actually a bit of a nerf since you now won't give away to other survivors the killer has the perk when you rescue.
And I've been trying to figure out if it affects the scream from falling from heights. It seems to maybe reduce it but not get rid of it completely (though IMO it should get rid of it completely).

Also, if you get hooked into second phase, you seem to have less of a time window to realise you have to struggle because it skips the screaming animation, which nearly got me killed when I found out. Lol.
Oh is that why I go right to struggle. LOL I thought it had something to do with the update.
-
Anything that creates a notification bubble is now silenced. This includes Iron Maiden, Rancor, and Infectious Fright. You are basically immune to these perks. You will still be exposed from IM but since killer doesn't know where you are and it's 15s it's basically a hard counter.
-
It's Steam not DBD.
-
At first I thought they made the stairs a bit wider, but after testing it I think what happens is the killer's hitbox shrinks slightly when standing on the stairs. You can just slip past them on either side, it's a tight squeeze but you can do it. They can still block you by moving to the side you are trying to pass, but they can't just stand in the middle and go AFK anymore.
-
The irony here is that the killers berating you for complaining about whatever will IMMEDIATELY turn around and complain about survivors. Loops, BT, MoM (which admittedly needs a tweak but isn't as bad as people make it out to be), saying that only Nurse/Billy/Spirit are viable at rank 1, DS, Adren. God forbid both sides have stupid things they can do in the game.
Specifically regarding Ruin, while on an individual basis you can easily overcome it, you have no control over other survivors. You can do gens, but if everyone else doesn't because Ruin then it's going to suck. Same thing for NOED, if the other survivors rush gens you can't exactly do all the totems before they pop the last gen. Then you end up getting punished for the mistakes of others.
-
What if it gave you the ability to open the hatch by picking the lock? Then if the killer closes hatch and you have Left Behind you basically have a third escape option. Then just make it take like 20/15/10 seconds but require a channel, like doing a totem.
-
I like your idea for Monstrous Shrine. Lightborn is also interesting, but instead of needing to stand near a completed gen there should be a different trigger. Maybe you see all gen progress each time you put a survivor into dying state for X/Y/Z seconds.
The rest are ehhh. Specifically regarding Shadowborn, this isn't possible. Unreal requires things to "cook" in the engine before being rendered. Changing fog levels mid-game I don't think is possible unless they rework how fog works universally which seems like a lot of work for very little gain.
-
I played against a Billy using DD the other day. Things were very confusing at times, for the entire game we thought he was running Tinkerer. But I haven't played against DD much if at all, so it's hard to tell when a killer has it. Once I see it more then it would be easier to counter.
-
@Well_Placed_HexTotem "There are tons and tons of UE4 games out that look spectacular and perform amazing. "
The first half of this statement is correct. Games running on UE look amazing.
The second half is just flat out wrong. UE has so many issues it's not even funny. Most relating to collisions, which is why hitboxes are so messed up in this game.
Just look at Epic's flagship UE titles Unreal and Gears of War. Both of these games have so many bugs it's literally UNREAL.
Unreal Engine makes games look nice, but it isn't very good for making them play nice.

@thesuicidefox Anyone can work through ruin. The worst that happens is you miss the Hex skill check and the gen takes a bit longer. I see your point though. I can at least semi consistently hit them now. I have my off games, but I'm still hitting more than I used to.
Dude I'm rank 1 and I can hit great skill checks. Against a survivor like me Ruin does literally NOTHING. Not to mention the fact I know where every totem spawn is on every map, I can do a gen in <80 seconds then find your Ruin in <30 seconds. God spot or not doesn't matter, I know where to look. And people complain about totem spawns, there is NOTHING the devs can do, because all I will do is memorize the new spots and check them as I run the map. The only maps where it's tough to find Ruin are Lery's and swamp, and even then it only delays me finding it by maybe 20 seconds.
-
Has nothing to do with updates.
Has everything to do with the fact players just get better over time. It's getting to a point now where even the lowest tier survivors can gen rush rather well. Devs need to address it eventually, because there will be a point where nearly all survivors will be able to work through Ruin and do gens super fast.
-
Calm Spirit completely forks over Doc, because most of them have absolutely no tracking skills whatsoever. The only way they can find you with their power is if they use Restraint add-ons which show your aura when you tier up, and even then it only works 3 times. They can't use it to track you in Madness 3 since you don't scream.
-
Uhhh....
Unless I misunderstood something you can do this already. Killer can just go and open a gate any time right?
-
The only things that need nerfing on Billy are insta-saw and the hitbox of chainsaw through walls/trees. Even as Billy I've chainsawed through trees before, like the survivor is clear on the other side and I still hit them. Pretty sure it has something to do with the Unreal Engine update a few months back because it never seemed to happen before that.
But Billy himself is fine.

Corn and grass do move, they don’t move significantly but you will see it move if Spirit is phase walking. It wouldn’t make sense if it didn’t move.
I’ve known when a Spirit is phase walking with Prayer Beads due to the footsteps but it is SUPER quiet.
I’m not defending Prayer Beads because it does need a rework. I believe that you should always hear the footsteps, similar to Wraith’s while he is invisible. The Spirit’s breathing should also be amplified a little.
No things don't move. At first I thought they did but then I watched carefully, they do not.
Footsteps was a bug BTW. It's not supposed to be like that. If they were there it wouldn't be as bad, but that's not enough of a drawback to actually solve the problems I'm talking about.

Well, the same could be said against the good Survivors.
It's not fun to have three minute matches, if I have to wait ten minutes for one match, right?
There is literally no counterplay against looping than to focus on Generators, to surprise your prey via mind games, or to use Sally to get off of those loops ASAP, right? Yet, every Killer is forced to face it. Running in circles is boring, but to mind game someone isn't.
To mind game someone. If you spread out, watch the environment enough, you'll have zero troubles against Prayer Beads Bracelet Add-on.
As you know, there is a must to be fast for the Killer.. So, let's assume, you have to use Prayer Beads Bracelet against good Survivors. Against the depip squad, for example. Then, without any Add-on to be faster, because there is no time to farm Tokens for Play With Your Food, you need Dirty Uwabakies or Mother-Daughter Ring Add-on. Otherwise, you can just give up, as they'll wipe the floor with you.
Sorry for bringing up the depip squad here, but I can't give you any better example of good Survivors.
Yet, only Sally has been able to wipe the floor with the depip squad. If such Add-on makes Spirit really that overpowered, how is possible, that the depip squad was having almost no problems with beating her?
Nevermind then.
First things first; Spine Chill, Premotion. You'd be surprised, how well those Add-ons work against the Spirit.. Poor Rin.
The second thing is to watch the environment; If to watch the grass, plants, or disturbed Crows is hard, then I am out of words. You know, what do I mean, so I'll skip that.
The third thing is to listen carefully to everything. Her footsteps may not be the loudest, but they can still be heared, just like the Crows - You don't have to see, if you can hear.
Prayer Beads Bracelet doesn't need any drawback... Because, for example, Toolboxes don't have any, and so on.
They may aswell make, that the Toolbox will slow the movement of a Survivor by X %s, as it can't be a light thing to carry. Anyways, there is no need to compare a thing... So, just Adapt. That's all, what I can tell you..
1) Survivors having dumb stuff is no excuse for killers to have dumb stuff. Gen rushing needs a fix, but that's not the topic. The topic is Prayer Beads. Also toolboxes have limited use which is why they don't have drawbacks. PB does not have limited use and is WAY more powerful than a toolbox.
2) Spirit phase walk DOES NOT MOVE GRASS OR CORN. People need to stop saying this. Watch next time a Spirit moves around you will see the grass does not move. Crows are the only thing that react to phase walk and they aren't everywhere on the map.
3) Like I said several times, Spine Chill/Prem do not actually fix the issue I'm talking about, that being that the counter play is to basically play super cautious and immersed, doing a whole lot of nothing for most of the game.
-
I think that if you prestige a character, whatever perk tiers you had unlocked will show up in the bloodweb at the next tier.
So if you pick Meg and get Bond 2, then prestige, when Bond shows up again in your bloodweb it will be Bond 3. This cuts down on like a third of the levels you need to max a character without outright giving you perks when prestiging.
-
I want OG Scream...
Sydney as survivor.
Billy as killer.
-
The only anti-exhaustion add-ons I don't like are Clowns, simply because he doesn't really need to do anything skillful to inflict it. Huntress has to at least hit you with a hatchet, but Clown can just throw a bottle within 8m of you and you become exhausted AND slow down on top of that. While I get Clown has the lowest kill rate and needs some buffs/QOL changes I would like to see the exhaustion add-ons removed from his kit, or at the very least changed so that you need to actually hit someone with a bottle to inflict exhaustion.
I'm also not a fan that Doc's add-ons can cause exhaustion in Madness 3, specifically Iridescent King as that add-on is way too strong as it is. But I also don't like anything about Doc, so take that as you will.

One of the most powerful and underrated counters to stealth killers is spine chill. There is a counter readily available but survivors don't use it. Beads spirit never snuck up on me cause I use spine chill. As a spirit player, I laugh when more and more killers with stealth comes out and now ghostface too and survivors refuse to use spinechill.
Again someone that doesn't read.
The problem isn't lack of counter play. The problem is that the counter play is unfun and lame. Spine Chill or not, you are forced to play super immersed. That means you spend a lot of time doing nothing and/or hiding. That's not fun at high ranks, and it's not practical either. If you hide most of the game gens don't get done and you end up losing anyway, wasting a lot of time in the process.
Prayer Beads need a drawback. That's all I'm asking. Because too many Spirit players use NOTHING but Prayer Beads. They are boosted AF and the game isn't fun when you basically are forced to do a whole lot of nothing all game.
-
Doc because constantly screaming to reveal your position, doing more annoying skill checks, and the inability to perform certain actions when you NEED to do them (eg. healing a slugged survivor) are not fun.
It's also not fun to be vault a window only to scream and teleport back to the other side.
-
Spirit's is pretty sick. Do you have a clip of the Nurse closing hatch? My friends and I are curious about that one.

I'm curious as to what you've come up with. Every idea is a good idea. You seem really excited about yours so it must be really good. Get it right and I'm sure a few of us would love to see your idea chapter.
There are 2 major hurdles to my idea though. First is animations, since non-human animations are more resource heavy in terms of development. Second is... well I don't want to say but it would require a TON of new coding for it to work. It's something that doesn't exist in the game, and to put it in would also take a lot of development resources. In fact they would need to hire some new coders just for this thing. It's a very specific type of programming needed that I'm pretty sure BHVR has no one that does this. It's a norm for most other games though, I'll let you figure it out.
-
I actually have a fully flesh out non-human killer, with perks, lore, add-ons and everything. Survivor is like 75% done. I'd like to share it someday but IDK with the way people around here react to "new ideas", as my killer has some things no other killer has. Killer would also likely be stronger than Nurse but significantly harder to play at the same time, and there are some hard counters built in to allow fair counter play for survivors.
-
@thrawn3054 Whispers only let's you know a survivor is within 32m. Don't listen for Whispers just look at the perk icon. If it's dark, no survivors are around, if it's lit someone is close. Basically it let's you know when someone is NOT around so you don't end up wasting time searching an area. If it's lit then you're not necessarily wasting time looking around. It also let's you know at a distance if survivors are on a gen or totem or gate, as when you get within 32m the icon will light up, and since those are survivor objectives chances are that's what they are doing. You can also zone survivors with Whispers, as it will light up when you get near jungle gyms or structures, so you know "hey someone is in this structure". You still have to use your eyes and ears to actually find them but Whispers saves you time by confirming that someone is indeed nearby. And if they stay still, say in a locker, you can use Whispers to pinpoint their location. by finding the edges of the range.
There really isn't anything else that can help you find immersed survivors. Maybe Shadowborn and Stridor could help, but Whispers is far superior.

With the way the power and addons are currently working Distressing should add to it just fine.
@ReikoMori No that's what I'm asking. If you use Distressing it would increase your TR and KI, while the add-ons only increase the KI, correct?
-
Frame rate is noticeably better on Xbox with 2.7. If you have a gen 1 Xbox One then you might want to consider getting the X or S. I got the X after my gen 1 Xbox just crapped out. Power brick was wonky and system would shut off at random, then the hard disc started to fail.

@thesuicidefox Yeah I'm no where near a red ranks killer lol. Since you are do you have any hints or tips how to find super immersed survivors? I've been running into alot of that lately.
Whispers.
-
@ReikoMori So if you use Distressing it will expand TR and Killer Instinct, then the add-ons expand it beyond the TR?
"Theoretically you'd have tracking on par with doc, but due to the nature of Legion's changes you'd be far less efficient even with the extra tracking."
You don't necessarily need to go after those survivors though. Like when I use BBQ or Infectious Fright sometimes I look around just to see what survivors are up to. Not necessarily to go after them just to see "okay this guy is in a dead zone and this guy is on a totem, I'm clear to take the next chase because no one is doing gens" sort of thing. While you can't see aura in KI, you could use it to the same effect to zone survivors and keep tabs on their activities.

@thesuicidefox How'd that even make sense?
@Peanits / @not_Queen, Do you two got any opinions on how you'd improve Clown?
If the cloud hits a gen it acts like a kick unless a survivor is working on it. This would basically let him kick gens from a distance, which helps his map pressure.
-
Clip?

IMO the game only becomes a challenge at red ranks, and even then it's not every game. It also depends on the killer. If I play Spirit or Billy I am pretty confident I can win most games, but if I'm Freddy or Trapper I know I have to play better to win.
I've been told I'm a very good Freddy at red ranks, without Ruin or NOED. Also other killers, but that made me feel especially good.

You're just upset you can no longer win chases with no counterplay, that's all.
This is so true. Chasing as a 115 killer isn't that hard. If you have a problem with loops just run Enduring/Spirit Fury and 4head your way through pallets. Very few survivors are actually good in a chase.
