Drama? I only played the first game years ago and just heard about the new one. So I haven’t heard anything drama yet.
Just look it up on Google news. Typical political BS.

It caps out at a 40% reduction after you've built it up and you can't use it on the Obsession. The machine gun build was 55%, had no wind up time and could be used on all 4 Survivors.
40% isn't a problematic number to cap out at given the amount of effort you have to go through. It's enough to be a good payoff for it's build up and to make up for the downside of having to avoid hitting the Obsession. If you lower the payoff people just won't run the perk, which is the problem too many perks have already.
Dude at 8 stacks you are literally right on top of the survivor in less than 8 seconds. That's still pretty machine gun-y. On Clown/Freddy/Spirit it's especially bad because of how strong they are ALREADY in a chase.
-
Heal tap. Gen tap.
Also this whole "DS shouldn't work if you do X" is just kind of dumb. What do you expect the survivor to do, sit around and do nothing for 60 seconds if they want value from their perk?
Literally just played a game as Legion where I ate 2 DS's on purpose yet still managed to 4k/4 gen with 32k BP. AS LEGION!
DS is not as bad as people complain. Most survivors are more than willing to burn it early then you are free to tunnel them out of the game with no remorse.
Or ya know, just don't tunnel at all. Had another game with 4 DS as Legion. Didn't tunnel a single person, didn't get hit with DS. 3k/3 gen last one got lucky hatch spawned right under their feet.
-
It means what is you banking account number, mother's maiden name, and first pet's name?
No, just kidding, don't really give that stuff out LOL.
-
Ew no.
With all the drama going on with TLOU2 I don't want that ######### in DBD. They can kindly ######### off.

As a Claudette main and a doctor main I get most people are bias towards Claudette mains for different reasons. But you shouldn’t go after a specific character just because you don’t like them. Not every Claudette main is a toxic but dancing crouching bush lover. I’ve met plenty of other characters that are used in ways that are equally toxic.Yes even killers can be toxic to not just survivors anyone that denies that killers aren’t toxic is not right in their head.
Actually I can and I will.
You get no sympathy. You get no mercy. You get remorse.

Yeah but you have to spend the entire first half of the match getting to that point.
It's not like you can just do it whenever, especially on a Killer like clown who can't avoid losing stacks to the Obsession.
That doesn't matter. It's pretty easy to get max stacks. And once you have them it's ridiculous how fast you recover. Clown, Freddy, and also Spirit are basically right on top of you seconds after you get hit.
Reduce the max tokens to 6 and you lose 3/2/1 tokens when you hit the obsession. Makes it more fair for both sides. Survivors don't have to deal with a machine gun m1, and killers can actually hit the obsession and not flat out ignore them the entire game.
-
Devs needs to push some of the things in Freddy's base kit to his add-ons and rework some of them to be actually useful.
For example, remove Oblivious in Dream World from his base kit and have that be an effect of Pill Bottle. And remove the increasing Snap Clap wake up penalty and put it on Cat Block. Stuff like that. He doesn't need all this stuff in his base kit. Gen teleport, snares, and the semi-stealth he gets when you are awake is plenty for him to be a viable killer at high ranks. Plus if things were moved to his add-ons then the affects could potentially be even stronger than his base kit, which increase build variation and overall makes him more fun for both sides.
-
Good. I ######### hate Doctor. If I could delete his ass from the game I would.

Not OP at 8 stacks.
It kind of is though. Especially on Clown or Freddy. They hit you and are basically instantly right behind you. It's machine gun all over again.
-
STBFL is a lame perk IMO. It's borderline overpowered at 8 stacks.
Put the limit at 6 stacks and hitting the obsession loses 3/2/1 stacks. Way more balanced, especially for Clown and Freddy.

Block deranking past the color you are currently in.
I've had at least 5 games of AFK killers trying to derank. Twice was the same guy, he was rank 7 the first time and rank 9 the second, implying he's been doing it for over 15 matches. I reported him but so far nothing which is BS. It shouldn't be a thing honestly, it's actually impossible to legit derank THAT much, anyone that does it is clearly doing it on purpose.

Soul Guard's 'fully recover' is only active when you're under 'cursed' debuff. I wanna know if Unbreakable is still useable when Soul Guard's recovery is deactive, considering I've atleast fully recovered once.
Yes I understand that. I'm saying that the game SHOULD have SB take priority over UB when a Hex is active otherwise it's a bug. It'd make no sense for the game to burn UB when you have the ability to get up as much as you want.
-
SG should take priority over UB. It would be dumb to use UB when you can get up as much as you want.
-
To be entirely honest, I don't like either of the winning designs. I ######### hate Claudettes, besides the fact she has enough cosmetics, and the Legion one looks a lot like the Joey skin.
I would have rathered the Yui one and either the Huntress or the other Legion one they showed because they were original.
-
IMO they should make all tiers a flat 10 seconds then give survivors performing cooperative a 30/60/90% chance to have an off center skill check similar to Doc. Normalize the aura read and add some very small slowdown effect.
And before someone says "well now they know you have Discordance" it's pretty easy to tell a killer has it now anyway. If you so much as touch a gen someone else is working on and the killer suddenly comes to your gen, sometimes even stopping a chase for it, then they have Discordance. As a killer I don't give a flying ######### if they know I have it because it's not actually going to stop them from teaming up on the gens. I'd rather have something to mess with them a bit before I get there.
Also the secondary effect makes sense with the word "Discordance".
-
Ditch Urban Evasion. It teaches you bad habits. You don't want to be crouch walking everywhere. You have to learn when to crouch, when to walk, and when to run. You won't learn that if you use UE.
Spine Chill is a really strong perk for stealth. It let's you know when the killer is looking at you within 36m. This is especially strong against stealth killers, particular Myers and GF as it helps you avoid getting stalked. It can also help you know what direction is safe, when you are being followed, when a killer is coming to your position (gen, healing, etc.), and it has the added bonus it increase your action speed including vaults. In a pinch this can help and it helps very slightly in a chase.
Iron Will is another great stealth perk. Hides your cries of pain when injured which makes it easier to avoid the killer when you are injured. Simple tactic is to break line of sight then walk away from a tile. Usually killers will stay on the tile thinking you will loop but you are actually long gone.

I am not even sure why you reply to me. I never said you didn't have to earn your kills. Which maybe you were just confuse about the key thing. Which happens from time to time, that a key is found, allowing two or more survivors to escape by hatch, due to finding a key from a chest while in the match. Which on survivors part would be a smart thing to do, since it allows them to escape and not die aka get their objective done.
That and in the case you brought up, only a single survivor is good at the game. In your case, the killer has all the time in the world and if the other players are truly awful and did nothing but trade hooks all game. It sounds like there might still be a fair number of pallets left, the one remaining survivor can use. That and chase points exist for the killer, if they have all the time in the world to chase their target, they could be doing it for points, if the game ended so quickly.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWEs9qKq6WA
Here is a match ozt ended in a few minutes. He got under 20k points for it. Also here another ozt video, where the games show in both were so one sided. That the second one with legion, he was going to give the last person the hatch but wanted to train his chasing ability a bit before ending the match.
https://youtu.be/x2wTRfWzz1Y?t=458
That and if the killer ran into this survivor first, so the killer has to lack self awareness or the ability to figure out, yeah this person is wasting to much of my time, i am going to go drop chase and try to find a easier target. One of the most common killer tips and advice given, is don't commit to chases to long and try to end them quickly. If someone is wasting to much of your time, drop the chase and find a easier target. It's advice fungoose gives out all the time. Which in the cases you give out, the killer is smart enough to use bad survivor plays against but is also at the same time, dumb enough to over commit to a chase against a single survivor. What is the skill level of this killer, for it seems very confusing that one minute they have a brain with the ability to figure out very simple things aka using the survivors misplays against them and than the next minute, they lose all ability to figure out simple things. Simply due to finding the only good survivor first. Like the skill level of this killer seems to lack consistency.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTKXsnoLbb0
Which ok you got a 3k you got a 3k. You got a 4k you got a 4k. What is your point here my dude? You still won, be it a 3k or a 4k. It still a win if we go by the standards set by the devs.
You said "If you got three kills i think it's safe to say you won the game." I made the point that it's sometimes circumstantial that you got the 3k at all. If you found the good survivor first and chased them first, then you might not have gotten the 3k. I was more using what you said as a jumping off point.

It will be a big disadvantage for high rank console killers just due the fact of much lower FPS. It won't affect survivors as much as they're in 3rd person, they will be able to adept in time. But again, please don't let console killers in the dust. BHVR promised 60fps years ago and we're still far away from that goal on all maps, with all killers and all effects. So till then i would suggest to allow crossplay only between consoles or at least giving the option to dissable it.
People keep saying "frame rate doesn't affect survivors" no... it sure as hell does.
Sloppy Butcher by itself is a HUGE problem on Xbox. You get hit, get a massive frame drop for about 1-2 seconds, and find yourself running into a wall. Pretty much a free down the first time you get hit (as it doesn't seem to do this after the notification pops up).
Everything about Doc causes massive frame drops. Skill checks sometimes don't even appear, you just hear the sound effect and fail it automatically because of the frame drops.
Every notification causes frame drops.
Opening a chest causes frame drops, to the point that if you open one while someone is in stage 2 there is a high probability the frame drops will kill them.
Frame rates are indeed an issues for survivors, and PC killers WILL have an advantage over console survivors due to frame rates.

@Ghostwithaface said:
If you got three kills [going with the idea that is the case and not randomly finding a key out of a chest and escaping by hatch that way], i think it's safe to say you won the game. Since three kills or four, outside of points, it doesn't matter. You are the victor. That and any points you might of not gain from killing the fourth person, can easily be made up by getting into another game sooner, rather than later.
So then let's say that of the 4 survivors, one is really good and experienced. BY CHANCE you find one of the other 3 survivors first (high chance BTW) and catch them quickly. The other two foolishly rush in to save and they all end up trading hooks. Meanwhile, the 4th skilled survivor is doing what they should be doing, gens, and then when you find them after the other 3 are dead they run you for 5 minutes (let's just assume hatch doesn't exist). Did you really win?
No you got lucky that you didn't run into this survivor first. If you did, then several of them would have likely escaped as they would have finished several gens during that chase. Furthermore, it's stupid to punish the good survivor for having bad survivors in their group. They can't control that.
If you got a 3k you got a 3k. Period. You didn't get a 4k for getting a 3k. You should have to earn each and every kill.

It does actually help sometimes when a survivor turns a corner out of your LoS. Normally you would need to look left and right to see which way the blood/scratches go, so you sometimes end up taking a step or 2 in the wrong direction, wasting a second or so. With haemorrhage the bloodpools are so close to each other that you can instantly tell which way you need to turn.
Is that game changing enough to have a significant impact on a match? No.. Does it justify a purple add-on? Probably not.. Does it have it's uses? Yes, it does.
You can tell this with normal bleeding though. It really doesn't help all that much to justify keeping it as it's own status effect and putting it on purple rarity add-ons. Just have it be part of Mangled and change these add-ons to be something ACTUALLY useful.
-
It has nothing to do with m/kb V controller and everything to do with performance.
The game performs SIGNIFICANTLY better on PC. Anyone playing with 60 FPS and higher resolution is going to have a big advantage over console players.
Once they optimize the game to run at 60 FPS consistently on console, I will turn on crossplay.

Besides, i just told it should be ok if optimizations occur and they get to play with M&K as well like us, so what's the matter again?
I've met 0 in 3k hours on Xbox. 4-5 in 1200 hours is actually A LOT.

I have an idea for how hemorrhage could be changed. When a survivor is inflicted with the hemorrhage status effect they will gain the deep wounds status effect if not healed within a certain amount of time. Seems like an improvement, plus, you are losing blood like crazy, itd only make sense for some type of bleed out timer to exist in it
No we don't need that.
Just remove it from the game and make it so you bleed more when Mangled. Simple.
-
@C3Tooth said:
The problems is the blood stain is too dark to see, you have to use Blood hound to make Hemorrhage work. And its totally UP compared to nurse calling as tracking injured survivors.
Blood is easy AF to see on all maps except Yamaoka and maybe MacMil. I track blood just fine, without Hemmorhage, on pretty much every map as every killer except Freddy (because Dream World is so dark). But even on the maps where it's hard to see the extra blood doesn't make a difference. It's just worthless.

The Status effect should be made Baseline for certain Killers who have those Add Ons and where it would make sense to be baseline (like Pig, there is a fking Trap attached to the Survivors Jar) and the Status effect itself should be wiped out from every Add On (even if there is no Hemorrhage added to the Basekit).
The extra bleeding should just be an effect of Mangled honestly.

Not a problem you force the killer to choose between leaving you or eating DS.
That clip was pretty funny though. He could have avoided it by just not grabbing them from a locker each time. After the second DS I woulda know the third guy did it too.
-
15m is more than the length of shack. I'm not a fan of these distance requirements because you can't really tell how far it is. You just have to go for ranged shots.

Likely no more than 7%. Both Hope and Breakout give that amount of Haste to survivors, I think any more and it would be game breaking.

That's horrible cop out logic . Its a night and day difference.
-Optimization for starters.
-You can't hug a wall nearly as good as a mouse player.
3 killers can aim their throws/skills better with a mouse
-A mouse player can constantly keep visibility on killers from behind and quickly look straight again on a constant without bumping into things. Try that on console. And this is my most important issue.
Pc survivors and killers make less mistakes
" oh BuT u CAN turn iT oFf" I'm pretty sure most of the community will not wanna opt out and would prefer to suffer then to deal with this gamsa pathetic que times.
But yeah. Grasping at straws is fun, right.
"You can't hug a wall nearly as good as a mouse player."
You can actually do it better. Because I have a control stick with analog input I can push into the wall more effectively than someone using WASD digital input. Tell me, can you move at a 30 degree angle with WASD? Answer is no, you can't.
"A mouse player can constantly keep visibility on killers from behind and quickly look straight again on a constant without bumping into things. Try that on console. And this is my most important issue."
This is actually not hard at all. You just need a high sensitivity to turn quickly. But anyone that's been playing third person games on console will have no trouble looking in all directions while moving in one direction consistently. I myself do this all the time, I can even run loops while focused entirely on the killer without looking ahead, all because I can more effectively manipulate my movement with an analog stick.
"Pc survivors and killers make less mistakes"
This is dependent on the skill of the player not their input method. It's pretty clear you never faced an actual top tier survivor/killer on console. Granted there are a lot of bad players, it doesn't mean that PC makes you more/less prone to mistakes. That comes down to experience/skill not what type of controls you use.
-
@Peanits said:
Given that this game doesn't require precise aim, the gap between controller and keyboard/mouse is much smaller than other games. That said, though, if you still don't want to play against people on other platforms, you'll be free to opt out of crossplay if you wish.
I agree that the aim doesn't matter, outside of Huntress/Nurse. However the game performs SIGNIFICANTLY better on PC than it does on console, and this is where the actual advantage lies. When someone can play the game as a constant 60 FPS or better while the other side can barely reach a stable 30 FPS, that's going to give them a massive edge.
I for one will be turning off crossplay until the game is better optimized on console. There is no reason DBD shouldn't run at a smooth 60 FPS on Xbox One X or PS4 pro. Switch is... a different story, it would be nice to get 60 FPS there but that's a platform I don't see capable of such a thing. Xbox/PS though, definitely.

You can't rat someone out to the killer, that's working with the killer and its literally a report option and is bannable per the devs.
Yes you can. It's only bannable if you and the killer are working together to kill everyone else. As in, you are both in a party together and you lead him to other survivors, he kills them, then let's you go. In other words it has to be premeditated and coordinated.
If I put on Bond/OOO and just bring the killer to you every time that's not bannable. It's a dick move, but not bannable.
I've ratted out other survivors to the killer and they let me go. See them jump in a locker, run to the locker and open it. Killer hooks them and let's me go. We weren't communicating or planning to do that from the start, I just did it and they decided to let me go. Nothing bannable about that.

Iron Will is not supposed to work when you are downed and in the dying state. Also the nurses add on is nothing to do with Iron Will and you are supposed to scream when that add on. Also you are not supposed to be quiet if the Killer is using Infectious Fright - Iron Will is not a counter to this perk.
Spoon will counter Iron Will though. Maybe the killer had that?
-
No. She's fine as she is.
Plus you CAN hear where she is. When she is within maybe 4m you can clearly hear her footsteps. I avoid her all the time by listening for it.
I ran a rank 2 Spirit with Stridor for 2 gens the other day. Really wish I recorded it but it was a long chase and the people I was with were not as adept at running her so I was pretty focused all game. We 3e'd here literally because she could not catch me (and she only that kill, plus 1 hook on me, because my buddy was like der-her a totem at the start of the game and broke Haunted right as she was about to hit me). And no she was not a baby, had a full perk loadout, tier 3, and definitely knew what she was doing.
-
To add to this, not everyone wants to participate in the platforms where fog whisperers are already established. Twitch as a service has been going downhill over the last year, and several big names have already jumped ship to Mixer (Ninja being the biggest probably). A few years ago I kind of liked Twitch, now I actively avoid and abhor it. It's gross. Their policies, the way they treat they content creators, their very clear political ideologies seeping into every facet of their platform. I can't stand it and I never want be a part of it honestly. The only reason I EVER watch Twitch nowadays is for a few specific close friends that stream on the platform (they aren't even big channels). I want to support them and only them, I really don't want to support Twitch, but they are already established here and despite me trying to convince them to come over to Mixer I can understand why they wouldn't as they would basically need to start over.
I also have some issues with Youtube but being a Youtuber myself with about 10k subs I'm a bit torn here. Unlike Twitch, there isn't any alternative to Youtube. They have been getting worse over the years and part of the reason I don't make videos anymore (also because I had technical problems that stopped me from making content). I want to start making DBD content, and I'll probably give it another shot in the near future now that I have a new PC, it's just kinda not a priority for me right now, and I'm hesitant because of how the Youtube platform has changed recently.
BHVR really should look into fog whisperer's on Mixer. It's a smaller community but a lot of us know each other and it's been growing steadily. Besides the OP there are several other streamers that are both positive and have a sizable following. I would name them but IDK if that is against forum rules and I also don't know if they would want that (I'd have to ask them I guess).
Also by gaining support from the devs, you'd help these streamers out too. You scratch their back, they scratch yours kinda thing.

How is it not a team based game for survivors? Can they solo a killer and finish gens?
You can literally do nothing and not help anyone and still escape. It's not a very good tactic, but a valid one.
Also if it's just you and me left I can totally sandbag you or rat you out to the killer. Scummy tactic but also valid as long as I'm not explicitly working with the killer (as in pre-meditated and the killer and I are in voice chat with the goal to get everyone else killed and then he let's me go).
Or if it's just the two of us and you get caught and it's your first hook I have absolutely NO obligation to save you. I can just leave you to die, which is actually the smarter decision considering that by saving you we are now both in the same place and the killer is more likely to catch both of us.
DBD is not a team game. Survivors have the same goal but your success as a survivor is independent of my success as a survivor. It would be in my best interest to co-operate with you because the longer any individual survivor is alive the greater the chance each survivor has to escape, but I'm not forced to work together with you. I can (and will if necessary) let you die if it means I escape.
If it were a team game then you outcome would equal my outcome. COD is a team game because if you lose, I also lose. DBD is not a team game because you can lose while I can win. At best it's a co-operative game, something like Minecraft, but I have the option to not co-operate and even do what I can to get you killed if I want or feel it necessary to my own survival.

Again, its a team based game. Why should you be able to leave a game just because you're team is bad. Thats not how ANY OTHER MULTIPLAYER GAME WORKS EVER. Name even a single multiplayer team-based game that lets you leave, or feed/suicide, or otherwise hinder your team without punishing you for it. I promise you, such a game doesn't exist, and if it does it's not worth playing. If you can't handle being on a hook, or being in the cage, maybe you are playing the wrong game.
"Again, its a team based game."
It's actually not.

I mean sure, if you hoarded the MDR and black wards for ages you can run it every game, just like you can run BNP Toolboxes or Mega Medkits every game if you stockpile them. But you can not run it every game if you start out at 0, since the MDR has a 1/3 chance to spawn in the bloodweb and only once. And even if it does, you then also have around a 1/3-1/2 chance for the amulet to spawn (the amulet is only a rough estimate though, unlike the MDR). It takes roughly 40-60k bp to clear 1 bloodweb, depending on how efficent you are, thus on average you would need 120k-180k to get 1 game going. Though yes, black wards can reduce this further, but again, its the same with survivors, now that it is fixed (except for the BNP ofc)
You only would need to hoarde about 10 of them. I get MDR and/or Amulet at least once every other bloodweb at p3 50. I could indeed play with them forever if I dump BP back into Spirit after each game. If I run BBQ and a BP offering I can easily hit +60k BP each game.
Right now I have 3 Prayer Bead Bracelets sitting in my Bloodweb, among other purple add-ons and a few pinks.

As explained in the dev stream (I know not everyone watches those things, and that's ok), it was not intended that players (both K and S) would have access to the best items and addons every match (or even as many matches as they do).
When I proposed that we allow empty items to stay, the economic designer recommended we normalize addons to disappear after the match even if you survive. This was discussed at length among the design team members, and we decided that we liked it.
The problem is that killer add-ons =/= survivor add-ons.
For my p3 50 Spirit, I can play Mother Daughter Ring + Amulet every game for eternity. All I need to do is dump BP from each game back into Spirit and I get one or both of these add-ons AT LEAST ONCE per Bloodweb.
For my p3 50 Kate, I cannot use a purple flashlight with stacked batteries every game even if I dump the BP from each game back into Kate.
There are two reasons for this:
- Killers only have 20 add-ons that can appear in a Bloodweb, while survivors have 18 items and 55 add-ons (for a total of 73 objects). I basically have to go through 3-4 times as many Bloodwebs as survivor to have a chance to see the stuff I want.
- Killers earn BP much much faster than survivors. You can have a really great game as survivor, but it's difficult to earn more than 20k BP consistently. You can have a completely ######### game as killer and EASILY walk out with +25k. If you play Freddy or Legion, you should be earning 30k BP per game no problem. On top of that, killers have BBQ which is a LOT easier to get 4 stacks than WGLF, besides the fact that BBQ is one of the best aura perks in the game, while WGLF does nothing besides boost BP.
So while your logic makes sense in theory, in practice there are a lot of things working AGAINST survivors that give reason for them to keep their add-ons after the game. At the very least, they should keep them if they didn't fully use the item, I can understand losing them if the item has no charges, but if it does you should keep them.
Again, I could play MDR/Amulet on Spirit every game forever if I wanted to. That is an option. I have 30 of each and 20 Black Wards, so I don't even need to replenish them for 80 games. Umbra has 1200 Iri Heads on Huntress. You use the argument "you're not meant to use these every game" but that is EXACTLY what killers can do if they so wish. Your logic is flawed because of that.
