It is pretty much unplayable.
But honestly i have given up on getting out.
I do gens and stuff and usually watch my team doing nothing or getting killed.
And if i do 3 gens alone i am usually the one who is left behind while others who hid in corners get out.
Hiding in corners=skill
I feel you there! Either corner hiding or locker rotations, hilarious but also give you crippling depression when they don’t even get out and you put effort in haha

Ranking (grading) up is an issue. There are matches where you need to throw yourself at the killer just to get the emblem points.
My question to these "solo queue hard" threads popping up, is it that solo queue is too hard or is it that SWF is too easy?
I do play solo survivor for tomes and achievements. I do see things listed in the OP but its gping to be the same if I were in a SWF. Killers are going to camp/tunnel regardless of your solo/swf status. They don't care.
A lot of SWFs I face as killer are just a dumb as survivors I queue up with in solo. It comes down to matchmaking really.
Not all swfs are sweaty and some are just there for a good time, I’ve been playing killer more recently and noticed they try meme builds like using head on and flash bangs etc, I enjoy it though, get some good laughs and usually easy kills.
As for solo q, I’ve given up on that, getting blood points is abysmal, I honestly never knew how easy it is to farm them as a killer.
I think the devs have probably focused the balance more on swf vs killer which has made solo q so bad, but apparently they’re working on it.
Got to say though switching to killer whilst solo q is having issues has made the game enjoyable, if anyone has issues with solo q I highly recommend the switch, haven’t had a bad match yet.
-
I love body blocking, usually I get a few free hits in on the survs and it helps highlight who the seasoned players are when I’m playing as killer.
Plus it makes for some hilarious survivor downs, I’ve been caught in a dead end before and the killer body blocked me, shook his head in disapproval and downed me, was hilarious
-
I just tried a game and this was one I jumped into… 2 dcs, I honestly think it’s broken at the moment, but hopefully they do fix it like most here have said, it’s definitely broken, if the devs are looking into it I have faith they’ll sort the issues

Just by the sheer amount of dc's and suicide on hooks, I don't know how the percentage doesn't get dragged down more. Add to that all the Blights and Nurses going full meta.
Maybe I'm just unlucky in my region.
Oh, btw, I have a 99.9% escape in soloQ. Source: trust me bro.
Yea I find it pretty amazing, last 3 days of solo q I haven’t even had the exit gate open, decided to switch to killer instead now
-
I think the survivor should be replaced by a bot or a veto system if it’s within the minute of the game, it’s a lost cause if someone dcs early and no gens are done.
Dont think anyone should get punished other than the person that dcs really.
-
Ive gone against a few good trappers and honestly, when they get me, they usually do a damn good job of it.
Vaults aren’t safe around them but man is it hilarious if you vault into a trap.
Love playing against them.

Everyone is asking for voice chat... I really don't understand why.
Sure, some people would use it as intended. Others would spam racist obscenities or just simply play troll "Benny Hill" music at max volume.
They just need "Doing gens" indicators and stuff so a Solo and SWF aren't running to a hook rescue at the same time. Simple.
Yea, I’d be down for quick chat like rocket league has, but I imagine voice chat would be pretty early days Xbox live, just unfiltered obscenity haha
-
Ah thanks guys, I’ll stay away from ghost face then and give Onryo a look. Nice it’s good to know they’re taking a look into it, maybe I’ll give it a long time out for now and just killer main for a while haha

The DC rate when playing solo is so high. If I see how annoying the round will be and stay, then some1 else will in most cases or just suicide on hook. Why would I uninstall when I'm actually having 10 times more fun games compared to if I play them all?
Killers can see swf in lobby and just dodges, that's a luxury survivors don't have. We can only see later in the game how trash the match is or will be.
Trying to make a point that some1 shouldnt DC because it's not fun for others is kind of dumb since at least 50% of games are tunneling camping killers...
Problem is the solo q is an easy win for most killers, I can confidently say If I’m playing wraith and hit a solo q I’ll most likely win the match without breaking a sweat.
I don’t blame them for DCing the devs really need to fix mmr or do better balancing for solo q. If the sole focus is on surviving and your teammates are on a whole different level and don’t understand the killers etc you’re in for a bad time, especially when most killers equip themselves against swfs with meta perks and you’re in a match with no mithers haha
-
To be fair Solo Q ain’t no fun either and most of time it’s a cheap way for millers to get easy games. Since the recent MMR tests I’ve stopped playing Solo Q and only play SWF now or killer.
ive played against a few swfs and to be honest it’s not been anywhere near as bad as solo q, which is probably why I don’t mind it as much, sure you can get some sweaty games but overall I rarely lose any, might be killer permitted though I use wraith hah
-
Are the matchmaking tests still running? Solo Q is unplayable, I know it wasn’t great to begin with but it’s never been this bad before, it’s usual bearable haha

rip, that’s how killer mains are born man

Whenever i try to convince my friends to play DbD with me, they get face camped or land in a flashlight SWF lobby as killer. After that experiecne they ask me, whats wrong with me and uninstall. (true story)
One of the reasons why i always play solo.
hahah can relate, I don’t recommend the game anymore to friends
-
Solo Q her, unless you like her, in which case killer with meta perks

Usually when I go on a losing streak with survivor, that's what I do. "I'm tired of this! I'm gonna show how much better of a killer I am than these guys!" and then I get stomped in that too, because the survivors I get are always better than the teammates that get me killed.
Hahaha I’ve had that! I play solo q a lot and sometimes after many losses I switch to killer, only to get swf, rip
-
I’d welcome bots for solo q when someone dcs mid game and even a casual playlist, seem like sound suggestions

Yes, all you get is a bloody outfit and weapon in the case of killers. I did it for the achievements, otherwise it's 100% not worth it.
rip, feel bad for those that are achievement hunting then hah, hopefully it gets reworked and there is more to it.

yea but you can have the voting only the first 20 sec of a match and stuff like only if a survivors DCs etc. and you can throw the killer a 5000bp just because they had to queue
That seems more fair if it’s only early in the game, only triggers if someone dcs and not swf.
-
RPD is the only map I don’t have to get a sweat on in solo q, going by that SWF in RPD for killers must be pure hell for the, although some killers have a pure advantage on that map but rarely.
-
@GannTM said:
A SWF is salty they’re losing so they decide to vote for the match to end. Yeah I don’t think this is a good idea.
Could see that being a major issue, unless they make it so swf can’t veto.
Would be nice to end a match early if someone dcs though, or have a bot replace them or a drop in system, usually the match is a loss if someone dcs early in and it just feels like a massive waste of time.
-
The cube is so tedious I think, its basically another objective and you’re essentially playing 3 v 1 in solo q as most survivors leave it or dc as soon as they see cenobite.
As mentioned above I see a lot a streamers having trouble with him as well, so least I don’t feel half as bad when playing against him.
One of the worst things they haven’t fixed is when the chains trigger and you’re trying to complete the cube, it’s nearly impossible if you don’t know the pattern to the chains hitting.
For new players it must be hell hah

True. But you got to deal with more stress and toxicity on the killer side.
I find playing as a killer way more chill than solo q, just because solo q you have less control who you’re paired with and there is no real saving grace if another survivor is showing the killer your location etc.
Can agree about toxic survivors though, nothing better than watching them twerk away like rabid tiktokers at the gate haha
-
Sounds pretty hilarious haha. I rarely come across pig mains, so does noed reduce the trap timer?
-
@GentlemanFridge said:

That, and ‘better’ items get a miniscule higher chance of appearing in your bloodweb.
Ah cheers man, never knew that!
-
I think NOED should have a small activation time after the last gen is popped.
Dead hard I wouldn’t touch vaults but disabling pallets sounds like a good idea for a short period of time.
-
@ThePolice said:

Then this would show that there is a problem with SWF balance
You should see the solo q balance, it’s hell.
Hopefully it’s what the devs are fixing in mmr, maybe it’ll take swf into consideration so killers get a fairer game, and then hopefully they fix solo q in that respect as well (I know I’m dreaming haha)
-
Sprint burst is very good in the right hands, I use it for getting out of tunnels as well, but if you don’t know the map well enough I’d stick with dh just because bumping into to random things or hitting a dead end you never knew was there it helps a lot.
-
Has anyone prestige a character?
Ive heard you only get clothes for your character from it so it hasn’t really been worth it.
-
Completely agree, I’m curious how hard it must be for new survivors to jump in, get tunnelled and camped, wonder what the drop off rate is for those players, obviously without good perks they’ll get dunked on hard.
Or maybe that’s how new killer mains are born haha

If it was a daily reset and you could only block a maximum of 3-5 players, it'd probably be fine.
A casual mode wouldn't work in DbD. No one likes the meta, so everyone will just flock to the casual mode and that will then become the "competitive mode"
Ah fairs, yeah probably haha, I love the game but in the games current state it feels like you’re restricted to using them, I’d love to switch it up, maybe the new mmr will sort it
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
If you add some Windows to compensate, sure. Once a Pallet is broken that areas is a deadzone. Removing half of the Pallets would increase the amount and size of Deadzones. It is not like anything else is useable in those areas.
Pretty much this.
Or what about the pallet weakens after every use so the killer can break it faster?
-
@ThatOneDemoPlayer said:
Easily abuseable. Anyone that's good at the game or playing efficiently will be punished by having long queues due to sore losers
What if the block list reset daily and you had limited use? This way you could avoid cheats etc, but killers aren’t penalised long term if for example they get blocked for good plays?
Least killers could also use this for gen hackers as well so at least they know they won’t bump into the same person that day after reporting them.
Or what are your thoughts on a casual playlist, E.g no rank and less to little bp?
I know a lot of killer mains hate survivors using meta perks and I’d honestly love to use something other than that in a less sweaty game mode haha, would be nice to see everyone chucking in a bit of variety

@Crowman said:
Being camped in DBD does not interfere with your ability to enjoy DBD.
You always have the option of attempting to get yourself off hook and not hitting the 2nd skillchecks to let yourself die faster so you can move onto the next game.
This is what’s wrong with people on here, there is no enjoyment when you wait 10 minutes to join a match only to sit and watch on a hook until you die as you’re being camped / tunnelled.
Its why a lot of people think swf is justified, but most of us just want a less sweaty match where we can casually play and have fun and not worry about waiting loads of time to get into a match only to be camped the entire time.
-
I think the biggest issue where swf is better is I can communicate “I’m being chased by the killer” so everyone else can work gens or “im being face camped”.
if there was a way to convey this in solo q it would make things a lot less sweaty
-
Nothing wrong with the survivor perks currently, the main problem is matchmaking balance and how the game is supposed to be played (E.g kills = win).
Camping and tunnelling support that play style so survivors need those perks. It’s annoying as I’d honestly love to have non sweaty matches where I can equip random perks and play and have fun, but you’re pretty much forced to use the meta.
-
@SS007 said:
SWF is similar to cheating it's unfair for solo q survivors and for killers and at least make it that you can only play with 1 other friend max because 4 stack swf is just too brutal and unfair.
Solo q is hell, gotta mentally prepare for that, but playing swf is too easy and unfair on killers, the 2 player max option sounds decent to me
-
We’ll least this thread is getting a bump 😂
-
@Nicholas said:
Blocking would be moot if Behaviour suppressed the names of everyone until after the Trial concluded. There is no need for The Killer to see the usernames in the lobby. If no names were visible, no one could dodge or harass players across several trials.
Yea true for both sides it’s pretty pointless until after the match has ended
-
@Sludge said:
I'd block so many SWF and Nurses, it would be great.
Haha I play solo q but I can definitely see where you’re coming from with swf, I’ve had a game with friends and it made the whole experience easier on our end it was definitely unfair for the killer

I assume the block option he is talking about would be similar to Overwatches where you have a limit to how many people you can block which would be maybe 2-3 killers and 4 survivors.
Pretty much, but going by the comments so far maybe the casual playlist might be a better idea 😅

No one is being hostile. Im asking because i doubt you have a lot of hours in dbd. If you did, you would understand why exactly this is a bad idea. It would act only as a bandaid fix, and then be abused by everyone else. These are the same reasons why they cant slow down hook progression while being camped because survivors would take advantage and loop by the hook. Infact it has happened.
I do how ever believe that people who are so quick to play the victim card, probably should self evaluate situations and realize "no one is out to get me". I also feel like you know you dont have a lot of hours, so you just wanted to avoid the question by playing a victim card screaming "he is being hostile".
Calm down dude honestly it’s just a discussion, I only said it as I know how crazy the comment section can get haha

If it’s not relevant to the thread and you’re going to derail it, no?
it’s a simple suggestion in aid to block campers, cheaters, disconnects or a casual playlist would be a nice start.
No need for anyone to be hostile etc, just here for a chill discussion on the subject :)
