we need an option to avoid a specific killer even if it’s just one, because when they do buffs like this that haven’t been properly tested the whole game goes to crap, either that or at least allow us to rotate killers per game, game is extremely boring now.

Legion gets a lot of sore losers huh?
No sore losers just unfair advantages due to the unbalanced nature of the game and repetitive killer every game. Don’t blame people for dcing against the same killer every match but least give us some variety.
-
Why are killers even getting a buff? Because of swf? Solo q is even worse now and everyone is still complaining about survivor perks or buffing killers.
Every game is filled with legion and every game so far has had at least one dc as soon as they’ve seen legion, has to be the worst state I’ve seen this game in.
-
New people to the game have so much to learn it’s stupid. The perks and how they have been used to balance the game obviously shows here, also the rule on banning camping is hilarious, they don’t do anything about it in game and would rather players dc or kill on the hook yet in a tournament they obviously don’t want people to see how unfair it is, crazy.
I think this video highlights a lot of the things wrong with DBD and anyone jumping into the game as a newbie is going to have a really hard time, I’m glad streamers have voiced their complaints loud and clear here though

Seeing more and more spine chill, had 3 in multiple matches last night.
These same survivors will tell you, "the chase is the main fun of the game"
yeah, cept you guys run across map before we even get there.
When I approach a gen I look to the 45 angle and not at gens directly sometimes I stare at a gen while I am not even going that way to make them get off gens
Nothing wrong with spine chill, but this here is exactly the best way to tackle it, I’ve witnessed it first hand and the killer scared the hell out me as I was so reliant on spine chill!
Its a good play

Firstly, I have about 80 hours in this game, roughly 60 hours or so I've spent playing killer, then I started getting unfun matches against people far above my skill level so switched over to survivor.
Yesterday, I played 19 games, of those 19 games I escaped 4 times with two of those being pity hatch escapes (as I understand, hatch escapes do not affect MMR) - so, that's 15 losses and 2 wins. Today I've played 14 matches, I've escaped twice and lost 12 times.
Virtually every survivor game I've played has been against killers with over 2,000 hours, some as much as 10,000 hours.
It's incredibly frustrating, unfun and completely demoralising to have back to back games where you stand little to no chance of winning and often barely get to actually play as it seems everyone with a ridiculous amount of hours just hooks someone then stands there until you die.
At what point is the MMR system in this game going to go "you know what, maybe this guy with his 80 hours isn't quite at the same skill level as someone with 2,000 hours??" How much must I lose before I start to see remotely balanced games?
Are you playing solo q? If so it won’t get any better and I don’t think the devs are fixing it other than adding some form of comms, you’re better off swf, or just keep playing as killer.

genuine question
Yes, if it’s not in solo q.
Otherwise dead hard is essential as your teammates won’t be there to help you out unlike in swf.
But could be wrong, heard sprint burst is equally as good now so that might become the next dead hard.
-
Having more issues finding survivors at the moment, getting bundle with some from half way around the world which usually means it’s time for a lag fest haha

It is very difficult so i don´t think there will be any change.
As i remember it is
You have to hit and kill the obsession - for remeber me - and hook every other surv - for no way out.
For that alone you have to be really good.
Then immediately open the door when the last gen pops and block the gate - only works on some maps as well.
They have 2 minutes. Remember me adds i think 16 secs to open the gate and no way out blocks it for 60 secs. So they have like 20 secs or so to start or they don´t make it.
They hadn’t hooked every survivor and the obsession was alive (me) unless there is a similar perk I imagine?
But yea cheers for clearing it up, I still feel it’s a bit of an exploit if you can break the door ways this way, but like you said it’s very niche I guess haha.
Ill have to find Otz video and see and have a good laugh, thanks!

@Marc_123 said:
Otz explains this in a video.
It is pretty hard to get it working. It is not Blood Warden, it is Remember me and No way out.
Ah nice I’ve seen a few of his videos I must have missed it, pretty crazy how it hasn’t been fixed or maybe it’s being looked into.
-
Remove a gen if you add another objective, maybe give the objective a similar completion time as a gen would have so no real time lost or made.

No one said anything about losing being bad, what I'm saying is that over 90% of the Killer roster is unviable
In general?
Or do you mean just in swf that 90% of killers are unviable?

I don't think you understand that when someone says "you might aswell give up", it means there's barely a chance of winning, not that giving up is the only choice.
4k against a good, and I'll say this again, GOOD SWF is not something I'll believe but ok.

Continue the 'Us vs Them', as if that will do anything other than showing your true bias
If the swf or solo q team play better than me or in your case you call them “good” then I’ll accept it, nothing wrong being outplayed man, you win some you lose some, learn from it and play better next game etc.
The mmr is being reworked or whatever so I imagine whatever bad games you’re getting might get fixed soon if that’s what you’re getting at

Oh dear man, I’m not sure where that mentality comes from, I think some people have serious competitive issues, I’m happy with just 50% wins if I can, but I’ll call it a day if not or play another game hah

"Pointless attacks" "If you’re a bad killer you would."
Seems a bit hypocritical, if you ask me.
What would be a good game to you as Trapper against a good (keep in mind, good, not the ones that kill themselves trying to save their friend during EGC) SWF? The best I can see is a few downs and at most 1 Sacrifice
Well yea if you’re a bad killer you would just give up wouldn’t you, just like a bad survivor would die in the hook straight away or dc? Like I said I’m not a great killer and I still try, learned a lot from the forums, streamers and just playing but I’m not the best trapper however I’m definitely comfortable and wouldn’t give up as soon as I got a 4 swf.
I said before worst case is 2 kills, my best is 4, generally 4 in most games (70% if I had to guess), I’m no trapper expert and I’ve seen amazing trapper plays, just takes a good trapper and someone dedicated to learn.

So the best you can do 2 downs? That's far from 4k'ing.
And no, no mindgames or trap placements will save a Trapper against a good SWF, especially if they're using meta Perks
In a bad game, nice try man, I’m up for a good discussion be least try and keep it civil instead of pointless attacks. Don’t let it live rent free in your head man, this game does things to people haha

People need to stop with this. Most killers don't need REWORKED. Just tweaked a little bit. Pinhead is more or less in a good spot. So to say he needs reworked is being disingenuous
i think he does to be fair, can’t just nerf his chains as I imagine that’d make him a terrible killer to play as, he’d need buffs elsewhere to make up for it but I feel a rework of his mechanics would sort it.

Please 4k a good SWF that wants to escape on Badham as Trapper, please do
I have mained trapper, I’ve found it hard to begin with but just took some time getting better at mind games and trap placement, few YouTube videos watching how others play him, advice on this forum and some better perks later and I’m golden against swfs, even in bad matches I’ll managed to take 2 down which to me is a win seeing as I’m still not great with trapper, he’s fun to play against as well if you get a good trapper.
One of my favourite killers as a survivor, falling into one of their traps after a mind game is hilarious.
Wouldnt say he’s the easiest of killers to master though, Wraith is where I got my training wheels to begin with.

I know it's part of the game but when you wait in a que for 5 minutes to be taken out of a game in less then 2 it's not fun at all
Feels like the game is on a slippery slope right now, noticed matchmaking taking a lot longer as well.
Im surprised pinhead has been left alone this long though, he seriously needs a rework

No, just pure laziness.
The box adds a second objective, which is good.
SoloQ players lose to Pinhead because they're bad, not because Pinhead is good
Sure it is man, chains which affects all players when a box isn’t obtained which can also be hidden from survivors btw means that the entire solo q playerbase is bad. Try harder man please
-
@TheArbiter said:
I think most people get upset about it because it's a perk that rewards really bad killers, just like how dead hard rewards really bad survivor play
Personally I would gladly give up NOED and Dead Hard so that they both no longer exist
It does reward bad play, dead hard does as well, totally agree there.

It's 100% about adapting. Only thing Pinhead had going for him was the Chain Hunt. Survivors didn't want to adapt and work on the box which is why he got nerfed
If the vast majority of survivors (players) didn’t want to adapt or play that way then there must be something inherently wrong if that’s driving them away? It’s tedious and adds another objective to the game, in solo q it’s hard enough when you get bundled with unseasoned players.
Proofs in the pudding my man
-
Killer too easy, survivor too hard, nothing much has changed just easier for my killer build and hard for my solo.
Feel like it’s driven people away from solo though as matchmaking is taking very very long for worst matches. Least Killer feels easier though, just switched to that instead for now but some games I’m getting completely newbie survivors which feels odd haha, could be the reset mentioned above though.
-
I’ve been having the same issue just now, plus matchmaking is taking a lot longer
-
@GamerEzra said:
He's not anything near OP but don't worry he will get nerfed. I'm curious how people react when survivor queue reaches 15 minutes.
It already has, or they’re doing tests again, been very long queues tonight and very bad matches, presume the player base is significantly smaller at night or something.
-
Fix solo q then hand in notice and play solo q as a full time loser

Survivors: Killers have a god complex.
Also Survivors: Killers should not be able to slug & win. We deserve to get back up for free. Also; bring back old hatch.
Also Survivors Again: Killers also should not be sweaty; don't win at 5 gens. This is not fun for Survivors. Give us a chance to win. No, this does not work in reverse; we don't have to give you hooks.
Yet More Survivors: Oh! But we already won if all 5 gens pop, so any perks that work after this are bad. Exit gates are a formality.
You Guessed It; More Survivors: Also, don't tunnel. Or camp. Make sure you spread out your hooks. Devs; the Killer meta is boring for Survivors; please nerf. But Survivor meta is also boring; give us better perks.
Just saying; I see more Survivors demanding how Killers should play than I do Killers. So who has the real god complex?
I said on these forums, look at all the recent posts, it’s quite obvious man.
But sure on the game itself in chat on pc I’ve seen my fair share of salty survivors too, but generally I play console so I don’t get toxic chat luckily.

No, you implied that end game perks are unfair because the gens were completed and there is only one inference that can be gleaned from that which is that the game is over if five gens are done. That is incorrect.
There was no inferring, but way to jump to conclusions man, not sure why you’re so bothered by someone stating perks which do similar things to what op is asking?
-
@[Deleted User] said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2913345#Comment_2913345
The game is not over just because you/they completed five gens. The game is over when you/they escape or are dead.
Nobody said that? We’re discussing perks which alter the end game or I thought that’s what this thread was about, also I never agreed with OP I’m just stating that there are perks which already alter the end game experience.

Cleanse 5 totems before last gen pops or cleanse the kit totem after the last gen pops.
99% the doors until all teammates are ready to go or open gates and leave before the killer hooks someone.
Easy counters that solo players are to lazy or bad to use.
You literally just highlighted the issue for solo players which is most of the player base?
im convinced some killer mains here have a god complex, I like playing killer but I know after using blood warden and NOED how easy we truly have it and I’ve played solo q enough to see how bad it gets, I do feel for them after working so hard.
I don’t think there should be any perks altering the end game for any sides in fairness.
-
@ThatOneDemoPlayer said:
Survivors don't really need Perks to get a pity escape after losing
Yet killers get NOED and blood warden, definitely some balancing issues

Without dead hard solo q wouldn’t exist, it’s painful enough as is.
I’d be more than happy without dead hard or noed but the game has severe balancing issues which can’t be sorted.

Survivor addons? No. Just the item. And it's 4v1. The fact you believe that the 1 shouldn't be able to try and prep for what the 4 are bringing in is just ridiculous. Stop playing only half the game and actually rise in ranks on killer. You won't be saying stuff like that.
In actually am haha. Also I meant items that’s my bad

@fulltonon said:
We all know god tier survivors can destroy 99% of killers, they needs a nerf.
Prove it, join a solo q, equip “god tier” perks, record gameplay of yourself stomping killers. Ez pz
-
A lot of my friends stopped playing solo q a while back and then eventually stopped altogether.
Solo q has been terrible, I doubt at this rate anything is being done to truly fix the issues.
If you’re put up against a somewhat decent killer and one of your teammates doesn’t have all the perks unlocked yet, or dcs early due to tunnelling or camping or a killer they don’t like or doesn’t have all level 3 perks or can’t loop then you’re in for a dead game, this is where the balance falls apart, it’s obvious they can’t fix these issues.
I’d appreciate it if you could see other teammates perks and addons before the game starts and how many recent DCs they’ve had, least that way I can dodge a bad lobby.
I switched to killer and honestly is way less of a sweat, I swear some killers here have a god complex, it’s easy to get kills and I don’t need to get everyone to feel satisfied, unfortunately matchmaking has been taking forever as killer so I presume the survivor play base is dwindling, but I’d rather wait it out and have consistently good games that I have more control over. Sucks for survivors I guess
-
@GoshJosh said:
Ok.
Or, they actually want to be able to use an item they bought in the blood web or found in a trial? Weird concept, I know. I bet you’d love if one of your killer add-ons just didn’t work in a match (and instead revealed your aura), simply because a survivor equipped a perk.
This, it annoys me how the killer is allowed to see survivor addons before the match even begins, takes the fun out of it.

lol one of my best moments with Trapper i set up 2 traps near a hooked survivor on one of the farm maps. Near dead a Cheryl goes for the save with me a bit behind. Cheryl steps on a trap the survivor on hook dies, escapes from the trap then steps in the 2nd trap 2 seconds later.
Of all the killer's Trapper just the most satisfying.
I love going against trapper, stopped playing solo q because of how bad it is now with matchmaking but man was it funny watching some of the traps trapper set. Love the good ol vault and trap mind games, some pro plays, shame not many people main him
-
@Mandy said:
My personal opinion is that you have not done enough in the match to earn a pip - depipping is completely fine.
Yes being camped and your team mates not helping can suck, but that's generally considered to be part of the game and there are perks to help with that - Borrowed Time for example.
(and I'm speaking from a position where I get hard camped and mori'd a lot!)
There you have it folks, just don’t get camped in solo q, easy peasy
-
I think this is a fundamental issue in the game itself, if there are 3 gens left and only 2 survivors they’ll know it’s over, but instead of just giving you the easy win they’ll drag it out.
if the devs made it a little easier when there are 2 survivors and 3 or more gens they’d probably be more inclined to keep playing.
Ive had it a few times and I usually find them in a locker in the basement just fyi when they do, I’ve nothing against them though as killers can do similar, it’s just bad game mechanics.
-

Yes it is possible:
- Buff Solo-q, make them close to SWF.
- Buff for all weak killers.
- Nerf maps (Make them less safe and smaller)
- New early game mechanic for help killers.
- Remove Dead Hard.
- Nerf Camping and Tunnelling.
- Nerf busted Blight add-ons.
- Remove Trickster (This personal request, don't take serious).
I think game will be alright. They still can change minor issues but game will be alright mostly.
I would watch Nurse after map changes, if she becomes problem i would rework her.
Pretty much this but I’ve lost faith, a lot of my friends stopped playing a while back as survivors just got worse each iteration.
it’s a shame but I’ll still play, just as killer as it’s more chill than solo q.
But definitely agree with the above, think you hit the nail on the head man

You cant say solo Q is bad because of DCs, while its frustrating and annoying (for everyone who dont DC) it's not solo Q but the entitlement that's the issue. Bans either need to be harsher or put quitters together.
Iv had alot of DCs over my years of playing this game but as someone who solos nearly all the time its really not bad at all, dont forget were also in mmr testing alot of the days.
Playing solo has never been the issue, the real issue is people dont do their objectives, they dc or they farm tome challenges... none is a solo issue but a player issue.
If you read the original post it was never aimed at just dcs, the photo of dcs was in regards to it being unplayable, as that was within the first minute of the game. The wait to get into a lobby, pick perks/adding, loading into the game and then have 2 survivors dc is pretty standard really and I was highlighting the fact.
Ive since switched to killer and honestly the game is less sweaty and I’m enjoying it so far, I recommend it to anyone having issues.
If the devs have acknowledged there are issues and are actively working on it in solo q that’s fine with me.
I disagree to some extent, solo q does have issues, if you play swf you’ll less likely get dcs as you can’t play next game with your friends, you’re also less likely to show the killer your friends location in swf and will most likely have perks attached to benefit each other which you can communicate in chat during lobby, e.g less likely to get 2 players using prove thy self and one player can equip a more useful perk.
Sure though, outside of that it is a player issue, I’m not sure what the devs have in store or if mmr can fix it but I presume it’ll help hopefully hah
