Let survivors escape just to be "nice". Like any survivor would run to the killer and give up just to help them 😄
Hey I have done this as survior. It happens just saying.

Yes, cause it's totally possible for a killer without mobility to apply gen pressure on a map like Mother's Dwelling, where 2 gens can get done before you walk, in a straight line, to the other side of the map at the beginning of a game.
JuSt ApPlY gEn PrEsSuRe
Here is my solution to that my friend. 3 gen my friend. For maps that are too big to walk the whole map. I myself stick to one side where I can watch these selective gens versus all 7. It doesn't bother me seeing two gens finish next to each other after the first or 2nd hook. Now I just apply the pressure where I need to.
#wraith main!!!! 🙂

I believe all killers are viable with enough use with them. Def behind the right player. Killers can destroy survivors. 🙂 but most of them need addons to do so though.

People are really sleeping on the new Ruin. It's actually still a very good perk, especially combined with Surveillance. If you play a killer that can scramble survivors or push them off gens from a distance it is very strong. Basically any time you catch a survivor on that gen you save time kicking the gen AND chances are it will fully regress before that survivor or another come around to repair it.
I've already had games where it's like "we need to find this Ruin or we won't get out". The only MAJOR difference between it and old Ruin is that you need to actively push survivors off the gens for it to be useful. If you NEVER pressure gens then yea it will seem useless. A lot of killers never learned this skill because old Ruin did the pressuring for them. Then they come hear and complain instead of trying to pressure gens. If you pressure gens with new Ruin you can slow down the game IMMENSELY.
And for alternative options, Thana, Pop, Sloppy, Dying Light... all these perks do a good job too. But all of them require some skill on the killers end to get benefit from, hence why a lot of killers don't like them or new Ruin. They don't want to put in the effort to defend gens, they just want to find survivor - chase survivor - down survivor - hook survivor, like a bot.
This is 100 accurate on why ruin got changed to begin with. Well said.
-
Dont do it for the reason you stated above

No, I don’t believe that’s the reason survivors bring these items. If something is available that allows an objective to be completed quicker, then it’s simply sensible to use it. It has little to do with how killer do or do not play during a match.
Like moris.... or let's say addons. Killers use addons that make them kill faster right. But we cant see those until end game. Right......? See the fairness there
-
I do for reasons listed above.

How can you be at 4 places at once to apply pressure
No one said be in 4 places at once. The killer just has to constant apply pressure.

On xbox:
As survior I do it if the killer wasn't a toxic ######### that was playing dirty for no reason.
As killer if survior messages me or I noticed a particular survior play well I will send gg.
Gotta love when you send gg and get 4k gg ez get Gud. Very swell lol
-
Its really annoying to wait 20 mins. Then get lobby dodged. its so swell. Or better yet have potatoes for team mates that the game isn't long enough to be fun.
-
I didnt read all the comments. But this thread couldn't be more truthful. Most games end with 3 or 4ks with average survior teams. Even non super sweaty swf groups all die sometimes. The games def require some skill as killer to be able to get the 4k it's not just giving to them.

Witch chapter of my book did you disagree?
About the survivors only can die from mistakes made on there part. I dont have the words right now to explain how I want to say what I want right. But it's more elaborate then just mistakes being made.
But I def agree that swf groups can and our what's wrong with different aspects of the game. But not entirely.

So perspective
Survivors have 3rd person while killers have first person...
So right off the bat killers have less map awareness and consistency view less information then survivors. Spinning your camera angle can make it so even facing a wall let's you look behind you or around your surroundings.
4 person vs 1
Means theres a massive opportunity for co operation and matchmaking means it's always 4 vs 1. Hook diving, chase rotations, callout spotting...
You can pretend that going alone is difficult but that's a choice. Its massively easy to build a freind list of people to play just dont be an ass.
Killer add ons are always consumed while survivors can 99% tools every match, as well as trade or farm for items from chests. So you need to put more resources and grind every step of the way on killers making killer power ups far more rare.
And while 4 people can brand new part toolbox at the same game, killer will only ever have 1 (or two as some killers)
You can hear the killer coming at all time with heartbeat and actively hide from them all match.
Poor hitbox and collisions combined with the red stain means you always see a hit coming and can 360 or dodge
Two health states, 3 hooks, 4 survivors
Played the correct way is 12 chases that people fail for 2 hits in a row or 24 separate chases assuming survivors uses the adrenaline they get for free every hit to give distance.
The killer reasonably has 12 objectives to balance between 4 people while survivors have to do 5 gens and gates so 6.
And the hatch opens for free no matter what on the last guy.
Do I really need to go on ?
I get that perks and powers can sometimes mitigate this. I do get that. But every power comes with a cooldown or drawback and every single perk a killer has, has a survivor perk to counter if not more then 1
And the worst part about that is... the killer has 4 perks and survivors have 12. Only one has to run small game to completely erase all killer hex perks. Only one has to run spine chill or deva vu. They can each play a different build and theres nothing a killer can do to beat 4 different builds in one match.
Sounds to alert the killer
And skillchecks as well as everything else
The game is only built for survivors to die if they make mistakes and get caught. If you play a long time you dont make these mistakes.
I haven't missed a great skillcheck in at least 200 hours of Dbd. It really speeds up the game. The moment I hear the heartbeat and crouch and wonder a few feet behind a tree and like magic he cant find me 90% of the time especially early game. Because his view is literally limited
And with sprints and pallets I can put major distance between me and the killer and the only way he can catch me is line of sight bloodlust or taking the inside track of the run. Any player past the 20th match takes a look around the gen and plots a route out before they settle into the skillcheck game. Its not hard.
No matter what killer I'm against so long as I have a group with me we can stun the killer out of a grab by going down behind windows with flashlights or going down under pallets. And there is nothing to stop two people from diving the hook at a facecamp killer tank a hit and watch him cry as the 3nd person gets me off and we all run out and the 4th pops a gen during the whole deal.
This horror game quickly became a scooby doo simulator really quick. Anytime someone can dance and tbag an immortal killing machine and get away we all have to admit that this game heavily favors the survivors
Tldr: nerf noed, remove hatch
Thanks for your input and I agree with damn near all the points you made.

How does the Survivors skill and play style became better with this Ruin change? The post about the reasons behind the change literally say "Survivors feeling frustrating to play when not hitting Ruin skill check".
I didnt say the ruin change effected survivors in skill or any change any way. They changed ruin because of the fact that it was used by killers to apply pressure for them. Not really by the killer player.
And where did it say that it was changed solely on survivors not able to hit skill checks?

Where did I say to ignore fixing DS? I Ctrl + F the word "ignore" and the first mention of it is your post.
I said other things have been broken for months, didn't even mention the things on killer side have been broken for over a year.
The double standards of "FIX DS IMMEDIATELY AS A PRIORITY" but "don't fix killer things that have been busted for months."
How mature.
Nobody said dont fix killer issues. Before or after DS. I just want it all worked on for real not " where looking into it"
-
Why is it immature to want the game I love to play to have its bugs or broken systems Fixed. I dont just want DS fixed but I want them to be fixed. At least somthing fixed. Instead of making more cosmetics and crap.
-
I only use to prevent stuff like that. Using DS isn't somthing I use to abuse for immunity for 1min. I heal as soon asp. With inner strength. I use to prevent the insta tunnel like what happened here
-
I was mindblown.
-
Yo this just happened to me against a billy. And then he had the nerve to send me a message saying gg ez 4k after facecamping too hooks.
-
And of course killer sends me message saying gg ez 4k... agh annoying

It would. But I don't think the problem is red rank killers where they shouldn't be. But rather survivors where they shouldn't be. Or a blend of both. Rank 1 shouldn't be easy for anyone. And if you can get there with ease then it means that it's too easy to get there I think.
If rank 1 killers are saying survivors are bullying. Then maybe they shouldn't be rank 1. Same for survivors. If they get to rank 1 and are getting owned by the red killers. Then maybe we need to adjust the ranking system. And not buff/nerf the players who are giving feedback based on incorrect ranks. Everyone shouldn't be rank 1. There are rank 12 players. That are just rank 12 players. And that's okay! We NEED killers AND survivors in low ranks and high ranks. Respectively where they belong.
100% agree
-
Wouldn't new ruin be more balanced in placing bad killers from good killer players. Not really affecting survivors much. Good killers will still do what they do. It only just effects the killers that dont pressure to much effectively. (And the type of killer doesn't matter the player does)
Of course none of this matter against the 10% survivors that r gods!!!!!!!!!

I never said it's an exception if killers do it, either. Exploiting is exploiting. It doesn't matter who does it.
Two wrongs do not make a right.
And to further note ppl will do as they wish is a game. Unfair or not they dont care. Same reason killers that camp and tunnel. As survivors that r toxic #########. It's a game that will always like that cause ppl r like that
-

I expect them to not use an exploit to gain an unfair advantage.
That's totally bs by the way. Killers do this all the time!! Killers have ways to be unfair or exploit things against killers.

@Bigyo369 said:
People really can't see it is survivior sided? Killer capitalizes on survivors mistakes, if a survivor is optimal then he can loop as long as possible without making mistakes, and the other 3 just doing gens, while hitting the great skillchecks. No optimal killer can be at 4 places at the same time.
Well if you think about it the optimal killer would be not to let himself get looped by one person by having tunnel vision. that's were the mindset should be.. I'm not saying juggle. But going for one person can cause the game. And it would be the killer's fault.

Nurse or huntress they are the most fun to be chased by imo.

If you can't hit the skill checks, find the totem... there are perks that help you find them.
I don't buy that RUIN single handedly caused 4 people to all lose.
There are a lot of factors into the "win" killers get. There's the times that ppl just look for ruin and cant find it, instead of just working through it. I have seen games in solo ques that the players r walking around all looking for ruin for a long time. Now because of the time wasted looking for a long period of time. Tbe longer the game the better the chance the killer has to win.... normally
Of course this isn't everytime.

Yes it is and i dont like the comeback factor of it. And that you have to equip a perk for it, i just like the idea of this phase "No One Escapes Death". You powered up the gates, the killer is mad you're winning, now its time to gtfo, cause Death will follow. Thats the only time you have to respect and evade the killer. It feels scary.
But i dont want to put a perk slot into it, expecting to lose and make a comeback. Like... EGC is cool, but i wouldn't use a perk to get EGC. Now that EGC is basekit, its cool. But if it was a perk you had to equip, it would be a crutch perk, because you "bet on losing".
I don't know. I rather it be a perk the. Base mainly cause it's one not a good idea now they can use a additional perk to add to the EGC. Base kit would be too much. They already have builds for EGC now they could build bigger builds because the crutch perk is now forever for them.

I personally am not particularly bothered by camping whether playing survivor or killer. I only usually stick around the hook when survivors are rescue happy. I also have not witnessed more campers as of late
Well you haven't noticed them probably cause you r playing killer.... cause they do it all the time. Or just go and proximity camp.

You can watch OTZ or true talent they r both good streamers for killers and very informative with tips and tricks

Why do her stun noises sound like a child throwing a tantrum?
I personally feel like it has to di with the fact that she gave up her childhood to survive. So even now she retains the mindset of a young girl.
That's spot on I believe. She didn't really grow up mentally.

@Weederick said:
I would make NOED basekit, even though i hate the perk version. Its atmospheric and oneshot phases are the most fun and thrilling times in the game. I only dislike the surprise factor, not knowing wether he has noed or not until someone gets downed. As basekit, everyone knows not to mess with the killer in endgame.
DS though, i would bury it and not look back. Second chance perks are the bane of balance in dbd. Delete them all imo
So wait, 2and chance for survivors = horrible and should go. But isn't noed a 2nd chance perk for the killer???

Trapper. I feel like it takes forever for them to “prep”, aka collect and set up traps. By the time they’re ready 2 gens are done. This is coming from a survivor perspective. Just today I had a game where I didn’t see a trapper till there where 3 gens done, and he didn’t have Ruin.
Though those three gens popped. What did he do after ward's to prevent the game ending.
What was the end result of the game.
-
Any killer main or player that doesn't know how to put pressure. I think the ruin will increase the skill level of killer players. To many times do killer only "win" because ruin is active. Cause as soon as it breaks they aren't able to put pressure mainly because they have tunnel vision for one survivor.

I was pretty worried about it in all honesty. However I was watching Otzdarva's stream yesterday. The man did like 10 games in a row in red ranks with no ruin and won all of them. Mostly with Legion who he was practicing. I was like you know what if he can do it, I can do it as well. I load up DBD pick my boy Michael Myers. My Perks were Pop/Nurses/Monitor/BBQ. Add-ons J.Myers Memorial, and Dead Rabbit.
I play and proceed to win the next 5 games I play without ruin. I had a game were they did pop two gens pretty early but I came back from it towards the mid game pretty strong. I think I might have been relying too much on Ruin in the past, and now I don't really think I need it. Especially with Michael and his slow start.
I know the majority of killer mains are going crazy because of the change, but have you tried going without ruin, and just using a fairly strong build and see how you do? And if you did, did you have good results, or poor results?
Agree completely, I play without ruin for the reason it always seems to break pretty fast. So I play without and it seems to be fine. Also not the best killer. But carry my own. Ruin is such a crutch perk for killers that dont put on pressure or tunnel vision one survior for to long.( guilty) it sucks how much one perk is going to effect the game now. With ruin gone everyone is going to use noed.... (more)!!
-
Keys at least have to be worked for to escape. Mori is way more broken at least the ebony one. Ivory and cypress can stay thr same for all I care. But to be able to hook and then kill instantly is very dumb. Def 4 times.

Let them live in their own reality of "Every killer thinks this way" even tho you and I, and many others know that it is simply not true. Many killers eat the DS early because as you said... EGC is really where it shines.
Fair enough.

You definitely do not play killer at red ranks with your recommendation to eat the DS's. If you played killer at red ranks you would know how not accurate that statement is.
Not true, I played a game against a red rank trapper, he eat two DSs so they def do. The only time I will say that DS is really "OP" is EGC when the gates our open and they use to get away. Other than that DS is just a minor annoyance that delays the inevitable

I feel like this type of playstyle rewards killers for having physically good vision, rather than a solid chasing strategy.
For most people, including myself, this is very frustrating to play against. I would take getting infinite looped by a tea-bagging survivor that keeps 360ing me over squinting at my screen in the corner of the map for 5 minutes because Whispers is going off.
#MoriAllBlendettes
I get that..... disclaimer Meg main here.
I think the game just needs some more diversity then get found within secs because you can safely loop or get downed due to no where to go. It's as boring as hold repair jenny. I fell like I achieved somthing from hiding stealthy from the killer then running in circle for ages.

do sabotage, it gets you points and you can be immersive and pretend to do something.
But I still want to do the main objective with gens and totems.

@TooKoolFoU said:
so you want points for crouching in corners?
Yes and no... I want points for moving around or hiding next to the killer. Points for being stealthy. I'm not asking for 1000s of points per sec. But somthing kinda like chase. It adds a better way of playing. Instead of depending on looping and being chased. I feel it takes more skill to be immerse then to loop.
