The issue I have with the removing of the masks, is not about the removing of them specifically, because I don't play Bubba and never tried to unlock masks because in all honestly, they were just horribly textured.
My problem with the situation in specific, is that I feel like BHVR is doing this, but then we will have to wait months and months until they actually do something about their piss poor reporting system and chat filtering. Slurs are still able to bypass the filter, and there was even a report here yesterday with evidence of someone who had reported a racist (directly visible on their steam profile AND end game chat logs) more than 10 times and they are still playing to this day.
I also don't think people who use slurs should just be a temporary ban, like Mandy yesterday said they were. It should be a permanent ban.
Thats not as clear-cut as you think. None-native speaker might use slurs they dont really know are racist, or just try to translate terms from their own language, and either do it badly, or it means something different in english. Banning those people permanently for that would be a bit harsh. Temporary ban is ok, as long as it is long enough to be impactful.

Well, if your family let a 14 year old play this game, maybe you all uninstalling is a good thing.
Enjoy your life.
-
Well, if they played so from the start, thats bad. But i did what they did in their situation, and then was called useless, even i finished all 3 gens done that game, one completly alone, and one where 2 joined after it was over 80%.
But then, i got a game where the killer found me, i run them for 4 gens, and then the others let me die on the hook because i didnt do a single gen...
If you are not in an swf, you are on your own. If you are a good teamplayer, the others might be more inclined to help you out, but that is not a given.

We're approaching levels of broken where bones might as well be considered a liquid.
Do you think people would do bones if they could just drink them instead of picking them apart?

Why does everyone blame the SBMMR for the poor game balance?
The only thing SBMMR did, was make the issues more visible. Which is a good thing.
So don´t kill the bringer of bad news.
Because people want the imbalance, but only in their favor. better-than-average-players get easier games the worse the matchmaking is. Its only the average to bad players that lose out.

How could you have possibly known that I was being snarky?
My point is that the OP doesn't know and is likely looking to blame their loss on the easiest thing they can.
Most of us do something similar.
Well, i would say you dont know what the op knows.
People told me i didnt know if i was facing an swf when i complained, even though the team i was facing told me they were an swf after the game. But the forum people knew better...

Franklin's does not even eat items anymore. It just drains them to 0 charges because Survivors were mad they were losing keys.
Do you have any proof for that claim? Because as far as i know, franklins was changed back because of the interaction with the nemesis-vaccine, at least thats what the devs said. So, back up your claim with some facts.

Survival Rate 60.25% That is a 5% increase from the first 300 matches. The first time it's gone up.
Death Rate 39.75%
241 escapes
159 deaths
%100 solo, Xbox One X, North America, crossplay on( ppl wanted to know last time)
Initially, when doing this experiment I tracked 100-200-300 and my escape percent was something like 60%-58%-56%. It was slowly dropping each time. Matches 300-400 went extremely well in my favor I have no idea why. In the last 100 I had 76 escapes and 24 deaths. Gained back all the lost percent and then some.It was pretty wild actually. I went from match 318 to 387 without dying twice in a row.
Most popular killers and kill rates
Blight 42 (times appeared) 22 escapes 20 deaths
Nurse 37 21 escapes 16 deaths
Nemesis 32 19 escapes 13 deaths (6-0 in the last 100)
Huntress 29 16 escapes 13 deaths
Wraith 23 15 escapes 8 deaths
Leatherface 22 17 escapes 5 deaths
Artist 20 13 escapes 7 deaths
Myers 18 5 escapes 13 deaths
Trickster 17 10 escapes 7 deaths
Spirit 15 7 escapes 8 deaths (4-0 in last 100)
Oni 15 8 escapes 7 deaths
Pinhead 14 9 escapes 5 deaths
Doctor 13 9 escapes 4 deaths
Pig 13 8 escapes 5 deaths
Hillbilly 12 10 escapes 2 deaths
Plague 11 7 escapes 4 deaths
Trapper 11 8 escapes 3 deaths
Legion 10 7 escapes 3 deaths
Hag 9 4 escapes 5 deaths
Deathslinger 9 8 escapes 1 death
Ghostface 6 3 escapes 3 deaths
Twins 5 3 escapes 2 deaths
Demo 5 3 escapes 2 deaths
Freddy 4 3 escapes 1 death
Pyramid Head 5 3 escapes 2 deaths
Clown 3 3 escapes 0 deaths
NOTES
Obviously, there is a chance for error somewhere in this like 1 number being off or something. I hope some interest is found in this other than for myself as this time I accidentally closed the app before finishing this and had to redo the whole thing and that had me tilted so let me know if an obvious mistake comes out
Myers. Strangely unpopular nearly all his matches were played in the first 100-200. Funny too because he does the best against me and I have been wanting to see if that trend continued. I only played him like 2-3 times the last 200 matches
Hag and Myers remain the only killers with an above 50% killrate on me in a "legit" way. While Spirit technically does I had a bunch of bad matches early on that still taint the results with teammates being stupid.
Oni saw a huge increase in popularity nearly showing up as many times in the last 100 as he did the first 300
Pig also saw a decent increase.
Blight slowed down with Nurse slowly creeping in to become the most popular killer just behind him. Technically this last 100 she was the most popular with Artist and then Blight behind.
I was not expecting Freddy to continuously maintain being one of the least popular killers.
With December being here I also expected to see a Clown increase as the clown santas would be around. I did see 2 clowns yet played absolutely non in the santa outfits.
I'm left with the same thoughts as at 300 only more. I can't imagine what would happen if I was in an organized SWF. Someone mentioned SWD only increases escape odds by like 3%. I highly doubt that. Realtime communication that mimics several perks has got to be better than that. I feel like some of you organized 4mans are getting out like 80% of the time or more....
When i was palying, i kept records as solo survivor as well, and my escape rate was around 75%, a little less after rank reset, a little more after hitting red ranks again. But i haven´t played since they stopped supporting my os, so thats just something from some months ago.

I heard this just yesterday or so.
It's this mindset from Survivors that Killers are toxic if they play to win. Or toxic they don't let the last Survivor go.
It's this mindset that Killers are supposed to think of Survivor fun, and play accordingly.
It's this mindset that Killers are to be shamed (called 'sweaty' and, of course 'toxic') if they don't put Survivors, THEIR OPPONENTS, first.
But you know what? It never works in reverse. I've never seen someone say 'You don't NEED a 4E!'.
I've never seen Survivors give the Killer a kill if they're all going to escape.
I've never seen Survivors shamed for playing for a 4E, or not thinking of Killers feelings.
It's a BS double-standard that underlies a large part of the community: That Killers are responsible for Survivor fun. That Killers can try 'too hard'. That Killers are supposed to give up Kills (and thus BP), because Survivors demand it.
You can see it in anti-camping threads; Whatever valid points there are, there is ALSO this reasoning of 'This person is being removed from the game, and that's unfair'. Except...The Killer's whole goal is to remove people from the game? That's the risk in a PvP game with no respawning?
This is the ONLY PvP game I've ever seen where people say it's unfair if they lose too fast.
You don't see people in a battle royale saying 'I died too fast because everyone found a gun first! So unfair! The last people to find guns should be immune to damage so they can have fun!'
Now, I'm not saying camping is not an issue. I'm saying that one line of reasoning is flawed, and based on this double-standard thought of 'Killers are being mean/unfair if they do their goal before I want to lose'.
Let me run over a few matches that show just why I'm very nearly burned out with this game and this double-standard. These are games I have actually had:
Example 1:
I try to 3 hook everyone. Hell, I don't really try to kill so much as I just play to have fun and get BP.
Survivors twerk at pallets. Clicky-click flashlights. Twerk at the exit gates.
End game chat: GGEZ noob! You suck! Baby killer! Uninstall scrub!
Example 2 (Before Hatch changes):
I play to 2 hook people. Turns out; 2 Solo's and a 2-man SWF. SWF does not save solos. Solos die pretty quick.
I hook 1 of the SWF. His buddy says 'I found hatch.' SWF 1 dies on hook ASAP while I'm looking for SWF 2, just jumps into hatch the picosecond it opens.
SWF 1 & 2: Noob scrub! Could not get a 4K! Why are you playing?
Me: You only got away due to sitting on the hatch.
SWF 2: So? That's because you suck! Uninstall, scrub!
Example 3:
I just try to kill. Not facecamping, but I stay near a hook if I know someone is nearby. I'm not giving any quarter. I get a 4K.
Survivors: Freaking sweat harder! We got 2 gens done! Scrub! Ever hear of giving hatch!? I was not struggling because I expected you to carry me to the hatch! Sweatlord!
It's this raging flood of toxicity. Try too little? Insults. Try too hard? Insults, coupled with this feeling of being entitled to an escape because 'something, something, fair play'.
But that fair play only goes one direction. And gets treated like a golden rule.
Many Survivors EXPECT this preferential treatment, and combust if they don't get it. Hell, I was playing in an SWF with a friend once, and we were insulting each other if we got hit, and even lying about where the Killer was to prank each other. We were not trying, at all.
My friend STILL exploded when he was the last kill, and the Killer did not give him hatch. Not in chat; he just started swearing over the mic. It was just built into him to expect it. I don't think it ever occurred to him that he would NOT get the hatch. Like, he seemed to think it was his reward for being the last Survivor.
I guess, what my point is (I'm bad at communicating), is that there's this flood of toxic thought in this game. And yes; it goes both ways. I'm not saying it does not. I'm not saying it's this 'us vs them' problem.
But it's compounded with this almost casual idea baked into many people now that Killers are supposed to cater to Survivors:
Don't kill too fast; that's not fair!
Don't camp; that's mean!
Be a good sport & don't go for that 4K; that's being a tryhard!
Don't play Killers we think are OP/toxic! (Known on the forums as 'I Disconnect when I see <x Killer>')
It's never:
Stop popping gens; the Killer only has 1 hook!
Don't 4E; that's being a tryhard!
Don't bring 16 meta perks; that's mean!
Sometimes, I want to just tell my friends that I'd rather stick toothpicks under my fingernails instead of play anymore. The toxicity just eats away at any goodwill either side attempts.
I have seen survivors giving free kills to the killer more than one time (after all gens were done and the gate 99%), or just line up at the hook to each get hooked twice so the killer gets some points out of it.
It does happen. But i admit, i never gave the killer a free kill. But i also never teabagged, never flashlight-clicked him, and always was respectful in the after game chat, because i know the killer is just my fellow gamer, not my enemy. I tried to never do things to the killer that i didn´t like to be done to me when i played killer.
(however, i did things as killer sometimes that i hated when i was a survivor, but then, i was a good survivor but a bad killer)

Reach a pallet/window they don't deserve extending the loop by 2 gens? removed
Killer outplaying you and you get your jail free card? removed
dead hard hit validation abuse (there's no way with the amount of validation killers get you'd get this often exhausted on the ground) removed
using different exhaustion perks so at least when they don't reach a pallet/window they don't deserve the chase simply ends
If dead hard alone would be removed killers would be easily nearly half as hard as it currently is, survivors running dead ahrd are so insecure about their looping skills they simply cannot live without their jail free skilless perk, I once played with some good survivors who always ran dead hard and we played a kill your friends and removed perk, they couldn't last more than 2 loops without dead hard
If you are a survivor constantly running dead hard, try to live without your second chance perk.
I usually dont run dead hard, but i also hope for the day when stretched res and color filters are banned from the game, so killers can show their skill instead of just using extra programms to nullify stealth.
-
If people still think her fine and good to play, thats nice, and these people can still play her. But if other people dont share that point of view, they dont have to.
Before, she was good in scenarios where other killers often sucked: against swf. Now, for the swf she is just another killer that can easily be looped for whatever time is needed.
I bet if this game had a mmr that would factor in things like swf, she might be played more often.

Moris were unannounced just out of nowhere they were nerfed, meanwhile survivors had 1 full year to use their keys since they were warned, same thing happened with insta heals we killers had to deal with survivors just overusing those things.
Both were ridiculous yes but it is like me taking money out of your wallet out of nowhere then after a year passes I'll llet you know that I will take money again, you can prepare and use your cash before I take it from you.
Now, slight nerfs? Slinger was basically shot and left bleeding on the side of the road, he was fun to play and now you rarely see him, billy got the roar that basically says "here I come!!! Dodge!!!" I can deal with the overheat but the roar just no, the twins nerf wasn't what they needed, instead of victor having a cooldown of 5 seconds what he needed was a punishment for being kicked, ghostface with addons is weaker than old ghostface with recovery addons, but at least you can use him basekit without many issues, plague is very solid right now but I don't like using her, that is a different story, I'm ok with the spirit nerf but most of these nerfs just make playing those killers unfun without actually changing the reason why they were hated/disliked/complained.
The devs are just extremely bad with balancing and knowing why certain killers are liked, changing stuff for health sure but removing the fun factor isn't what they needed.
Thats simply not true. It was announced months before that they would change moris. I just used a mori after that every game i played as killer until they were nerfed. This "it came out of nowwhere" is just a stupid little lie to show a difference between killer and survivor that doesnt exist.
Also, since they had announced they would change keys, i also used a key in nearly all my survivor games until they were all gone.
-
But then you will still crying if you did 4 totems, and the only token the killer has hits you. Better then to make noed not a hex perk at all, but it exposes everyone that didnt cleanse a totem (lit or dull).

Yeah, I did that actually.
For over 100 games, in fact. And I recorded stats for it, just to see if "do bones" was a reasonable argument.
It isn't. Unless you make a build solely dedicated to hunting totems, Solo Q has almost zero chance to cleanse all 5. Duo isn't much better.
The only times I found it to be remotely possible were in 3 and 4 man SWF, where it was easy to keep track of totems and cleanse them.
NOED is a bad perk. It unfairly punishes Solo and Duo Q, but does very little to SWF groups. It needs a rework to be useful.
Thats just not true. In my solo games, i cleansed all 5 totems in lots of games, in even more all 5 were cleansed where i didnt do it alone.
However, since boon totems we know that survivors are capable of finding totems and spent time with them if they think it benefits them enough. At the moment, they just think calling for a nerf might benefit them more than doing totems.

As a killer, if I notice someone hasn't been hooked all game and I haven't seen them doing anything useful I'll usually kill them and let the last guy go for the reason that they were an active detriment to their team. I don't camp the next to last survivor either, I usually walk away and break stuff or look for the other person. If they are across the map clearly waiting for someone to die so they can hatch hunt or try for gate, I'll down them, let them wiggle by the hooked guy, then trade hooks and hatch the freed person. I can't stand it when people "play for hatch."
I play 50/50 survivor killer, so I also know the pain of that one Claudette who hides all game, doesn't help take hits at unhooks, blows gens by fleeing at the first sound of a heartbeat, and doesn't trade or take a hookstate to keep 4 players alive.
Can you explain that? I had games where i done 3 gens alone, did 3-4 unhookes, and healed others, and broke some hex totems. but the killer never saw me. How was i an active detriment to my team, when i did the majority of the objectives alone, can you explain please?

If i spot a blendette or other hiding survivor i will walk past her pretending i haven't seen her to then stop and slooowly turn around. To then stare at her for 5 seconds. If she hasen't moved i walk away.
Trap downed survivors as trapper. Most of the time it obviously doesn't do anything as they can crawl away but sometimes you get these jokester survivors that play along or happen to be afk for a bit and hide the trap with their body. Really funny to me if it works and traps the person that was going to pick them up
I think i might have played against you (or at least someone with the same playstyle)...those moments when you are not certain if the killer saw you or not are so thrilling to me and much fun.
-
@wewantbetterfun said:
of course I play against survivors that have less skills than I do, here and there I get better ones, but not worring about being genrushed, not caring too much if I make a mistake, no full meta squad, I enjoy this game again
I really wish mmr never been a thing, yes have some MM but not this trash we have now, I am quitting the game so badly because of mmr and I've been playing since 1.0.0, ######### mmr seriously.
So basicly you like games that give you an unfair advantage right from the start instead of a fair game.
The problem is, that doesnt work for all sides equally.
-
Yeah, theres 4 of you, so the waste of time is not that big...oh wait.
Its nice how noed always needed a nerf (or so it was claimed), because 4 players couldnt affort to do bones that are gone forever, but the one player has to do bones that can just be reblessed.
-
Who ever claimed it was random? there is a algorythm how it picks, and you can use that to your advantage just as well.

@StarLost said:
Don't worry, nothing too serious. We just need to establish some ground rules here. Feel free to add your own (curious what survivors have to say to killers).
- If I patrol back past a hook on my way to the next gen, that's not camping. Neither is seeing you on your way to unhook and giving chase or catching you healing directly under the hook. I'll try not to outright camp unless I'm getting mauled, but I don't have to give you the unhook either.
- If you want to play grab-ass while I'm hooking, don't complain when you end up getting hooked yourself.
- If you are absolutely smoking me, consider easing up a bit. We all get less BP if you just slam out gens and hide all the time.
- Similarly, if you have an early DC or are getting pulped, I'll probably ease up a bit and let you do some gens, heal and the like. If you just want the game to end, come to me.
- If you BM (teabagging, flashing etc.) and I tunnel you down...well, you wanted my attention and you got it. Feel free to DC.
- If I remember you as someone who BMed me in the past, you'll get the strongest addons/perks I have available to me, and I'll do my level best to make sure you die first.
- This also goes for people who consistently abuse the possible pseudo-infinites on Badham, RPD and Haddonfield.
- If you switch to items last second, I may suffer mysterious internet problems or find myself called away on urgent business. You know what you did.
- Sometimes you'll get hit by a lunge that looked like you were clear. Sometimes I'll get hits that mysteriously vanish. We both have lag sometimes, and, since I don't control the servers, yelling at me in postgame is a bit pointless. Roll with it, we all get bad bounces.
- I will bring addons sometimes. If you never bring toolboxes, medkits, flashlights etc. then and only then do you get to complain about them.
- No, I don't have wallhacks. It's probably Discordance or Lethal Pursuer.
- Be aware that blood pools and scratches leading to a locker is sort of a give-away.
- Lastly, be aware that there is a living, breathing human being on the other end of that spooky avatar, and I'm trying to have fun with you in a frustrating game.
How about you?
The thing is, your rules mean nothing. Because the next killer might just target me for playing a blendette, wearing a pride charm, or just escaping him in a chase.
And the next might just insidious camp anyway.
Also, i never bring items, but always bring plunderers instinct. Can i complain about your addons, since you said i can if i never bring anything, but i am going to have something anyway.

like who? i have not seen more than 5 or 6 people actually like it, all streamers and youtubers/high ranked people absolutely despise it
Of course they do. Half of them want to go with an swf and humiliate the killer in a match where they outskill the killer widly.
Also, they need to be viewed as good players, because few people watch streams to see "their player" lose.
Now if they are high skilled players, they can only win in a matchmaking like the old one, because they either get fair games, which they might lose, but also can get the easy games, and probably even way more often.
A skill based matchmaking only give them fair/hard matches, and they can´t just show off because they play against a 10-hour-noob.
They have reason to despise it, but burglers have reason to despise safty measures. Doesn´t mean it the same for the rest of the people.
-
Not sure if that counts, but i was in a match with a 3-swf, and just got a key in a chest. I worked on a gen, and when the killer came, i lured him away and run him for 3-4 gens. Then he got me, hooked me and went away.
Then the 3 man swf came, teabagged me on the hook, took my key and escaped through the hatch.
Reason: I obviously was useless, because they had to work on the gens alone.

No, they're not allowed because the game doesn't provide in game comms, you have to use external assets to do so, which clearly violates the tos but BHVR doesn't enforce this rule
So, is using a keyboard cheating? Because the game doesnt provide a keyboard driver, you have to use external assets to do so, too.
And before you dismiss this as just trolling, take into account hardware and software macros, and also grafic drivers that are used for color filters, stretched res, montior sided targeting sign, and other things.

I think everyone who knows DBD and is good in this game knows that the power level is:
SWF > Killer > SoloSurvivorIt does not mean that its impossible to win as a weaker role and the differences between each role highly depends on indivudual skill and the set goal e.g. if SWF or Killer want to do anything possible for the win.
I have seen many times that people want to nerf or even remove SWF alltogether but I think there is a better solution to this that most people forget or atleast I dont see anyone asking for it as often as for the SWF nerf:
Solution
Removing Solo
I think the game is impossible to balance in this state. If you buff killer so they compete against SWF solos will have a nightmare time. And if you buff solos to compete against killer SWF will dominate the game!
I think solos needs to go and if you want to play solo you will need to load into a party of randoms that all have ingame voicechat function. They can then decide if they want to play together and what roles they expect from each other. And they can stick together for more then one game if they dont leave the party.
Ofcourse its up to every player to use the communication or to mute everyone and play the game as before (as it is right now for solos). But forcing people into team play and then buff killers on SWF level will motivate people to use communication more.
This system ofcourse already exists in CS:GO and works ok'ish. I think DBD could be more successful with it.
In my defence I dont really know how communication on consoles would work (e.g. if you need a special headset for consoles) I just can hope that its somehow possible to implement it there too.
But dont forget even if you are to afraid to talk as long as someone is talking/giving informations ingame you will get more then before.
Closing words:
We can discuss for ever about the balance of the game but if you are a logical person you know that SWF or Solo needs to go. Forcing solos into parties and making them form bonds or make friends is a nice aspect and maybe a healty step.
BTW: I am a killer main (80-90%) and I play solo survivor (10-20%).
So I am not an SWF guy who tries to defend it, I just dont believe this game will continue without SWF or with a too weak Killer role.
Here in europe, you have lots of people that dont share a common language, like russians who speak only that, french that only speak french, and germans that only speak german. a lot of them speak english as well, but not all of them, not even close. So how would you adress this problem in a forced voice chat? Just out of intrest.
-
My guess is, moris were a way bigger deal. We know that keys only account for 3% of escapes. And if i think back how common moris were, i believe that number was way higher for kills due to moris.

Clearly it didn't help you so why even bother guarding it if you're having trouble catching me right now anyway 🤣?? With all that in mind I decided I don't like this huntress very much and teabagged at exit and they report me for teabagging. Love this community at least gives me some laughs every now and then.
Well, tunneling is a strategy in this game.
Teabagging is a gesture of disrespect toward your fellow players and a dick move.

Bud, I'm in red ranks (as Killer) and still climbing. This game is extremely piss easy when you apply yourself.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2471887#Comment_2471887
I'm going to just be sandbagging as Killer to just fool around with Survivors that I'm way out of the league of because I enjoy messing around with people rather than actually thinking, "Oh, I'll try."
Let me tell you a little something; getting to red ranks has actually shown me that I don't like playing competitively; I ultimately will have to because I'm stuck doing that, but I want to play a game for the fun. There's no fun in getting RNG'd by maps, having Survivors take you to maps that are clearly survivor-sided and eventually just making games last 30+ minutes because they 3 Genned near two up-close totems and I decided to be a dick and extended the game out that long.
I want as enjoyable an experience as I can get, and there's zero way playing competitively would suit my preferences.
Sure the game is piss easy for killer if you have no sbmmr, because if you play a team of solo survivors, only one weak link might bring them down, even if 3 players are on your skill level, let alone if all players are below your skill level.
Its quite funny, you call the game piss easy but the moment you will have to face players at your skill level you try to abuse the system to not have fair matches...
Yeah, figures.

Strong then get nerfs. Behavior has a pretty bad track record for buffing weak killers(trickster, nemesis).
Trickster has had almost 6 months of being terrible and has absolutely zero prospects of being good in the future. Nemesis is in the same boat, his buff that he is receiving next week will do absolutely nothing to help his lower than average kills in red ranks. Pinhead is another killer who is looking terrible as well. We will see how his changes shake out from the PTB to what we get Tuesday but his chains where laughably bad on the PTB to the point that his power could actively hurt you. Name one killer released in the past year that has been good outside of Blight. By good I mean can stand a decent chance against high skilled red rank solo players / swf.
My question to the people who propose weak then get buffs to strong...how long should that take? years? I would love to hear of an example of Bhvr doing a good job of buffing a weak killer and how long it took them to put those changes in place.
I remember how people calles spirit weak, until she got a slight change. Rember her?
Remember the first incarnation of freddy into the second one?
Dont just cherry pick what fits your argument.

You are aware that you take the bad perks anyway, because unless you already have anything, you just take 2 perks every bloodweb (at lvl 50) so they dont appear anymore, and if a perk got changed (like tinkerer that went suddenly good) you already have it.
Not taking a perk over taking a perk is a very bad decission, but one people seem to make time and again.
and one lvl 50 bloodweb is around 50k bp, that is, at least to me, about 2 games, either as survivor or killer.
-
I dont get the grind argument, can someone explain it to me?
To me, as a survivor there is no grind, because perks make your life easier, but are not needed, and items make it better, but are also not needed.
Certain killer need certain perks, true, but once you got them, wheres the grind?
And before you tell me you have to grind for ultra-rare addons: they are ultra-rare for a reason, they are not meant to be in every game. So what exactly is that point?

I tried to be a good sport. I never camped, never tunneled. I juggled gen protection and chases, I played non-meta killers and ran more than just one overpowered build I tried to create a challenging but fun match for all my survivors.
But you ruined it.
You and your stupid keys, genrushing tactics, and copypaste builds and playstyles.
Today, I declare this solemn vow. As of this moment, I will camp, I will tunnel, I will slug every last survivor for the 4k if need be. From now on I only care about MY fun! Not yours, not your team mates! I'm going to enjoy myself no matter what 'scummy' tactics I must use to achieve them. There will be Anti-Loop. There will be BBQ, and there will be moris. There will be no more mercy, no giving the hatch or the gate. I don't care if all three of your teammates dced on you, I will STILL chase you down and hook you, and smack your hanging body.
I look forward to more years of selfish enjoyment, just as you have.
But i didnt. But you dont care, do you?
But to be fair, you are just another killer that does that most killers do anyway.
I am just sad that you have some bad experiences, but i cant blame you. I went the same way.
-
One thing is that we dont even know if your MMR depends on your performance alone. Say, you play solo survivor (like myself).
If my personal performace counts, is an escape a win even if i never take any risk, hide, and only rarely do a gen?
On the other side, if i carry my whole team, and at the end get sacrificed to let them escape, do i lose?
-
How can you get farmed without bt if bt is basekit?

Then why has NOED remained unchanged for years, despite being complained about on a daily basis? Sort of goes against your theory that they only change things because people complain.
Only changing when people complain =/= change everything people complain about.
So it doesnt go against the theory, because those things are simply not the same.
He is still wrong, though, your argument just is flawed.

what do you mean by,,offered themself'', killer can hook them or they just want to be killed?
okay so you're helping killer with doing archive challanges, one guy at least.
doing totems is helping other survivors. tbagging isn't making killer lose. I think it helps killer when you're unhooking in front of him. Bt is useful if killer is camping or if you're unhooking in front of him, you're not doing that. ds is now fair. dh is unfair but not op.
leaving the trail as soon as all survivors are safe is helping your teammates more than killer.
you can give killer a free hit if he's loosing but you're doing that already. you one a few more people, only you, no one else. Killers needs to play nice because a few survivors play nice? Yeah I'm playing nice and I'm giving hatch etc. but if someone wants to camp me then he can, this is his playstyle.
Yeah, i mean those survivors wait at the exit gates, and when the killer comes, they point to the hook and run there, and allow the killer to sacrifice them. I also saw 2 people doing that, hooktrading so the killer gets a decent number of hits.
However, we should not forget that this screws the kill/escape statistics, and thats one of the metrics the devs balance the game around.

Whispers, Nurse's calling, sloppy butcher, bitter murmur, Iron grasp, & NOED.
Ok, if they can use 6 perks, they are obviously not players.
-
The game is dark to enable stealth options for both killers and survivors. PC players being able to go around that doesnt mean its designed to do that.
-
I wear the charm to support.
-
While i agree with the red stain, i dont agree with an increase of pov. Stealth is a factor in this game, and it should be. If you want the game to resolve around chases only, go play a racing simulator.
Also, i still think you just cant balance the game around swf (with comms) and solo survivors at the same time.

Yes

A nea walks up from behind and slaps you with it, and teabags you when you turn around. Do you hold a grudge and focus down the nea when the opportunity arises?
If she had just slapped me with it, I would've been understanding as she's just helping her teammate. However if she decides to teabag me then she's getting insta-hooked. I don't care if that makes me petty, easily wound up, if you're going to teabag then I'm removing you from the match immediately.
I agree. Teabagging is a gesture of disrespect to your fellow gamer. Depending on my mood, i might decide not to play the game at all, because i dont have to play with people disrespecting me. Let them escape with their 12k bp and no thrill of the game.

Hm, so we need Killers who 2 hook every survivor and let them escape afterwards. BHVR should really add killer bots in pub matches so survivors would never complain again. I dont know why they havent done it yet. PvE fits this game so much better than PvP imo. Cause there would be no reason to insult or complain about the opponent if its a stupid bot.
No, we need killers that play "fair", that dont tunnel and dont camp, and are at an equal skill level than the surivors. That makes for good matches, and then, i dont mind if i get killed or escape, because you get fair matches. However, there are killers that go out of their way not to tunnel, and dont camp. Those games are close, you get at least 4 gens done, while the killer has around 8 hooks, its lategame and still can go both ways. That are the games i want, and thus the killers we need.
However, in most cases its more a matter of matchmaking, but mindset of killers and survivors play a big role too.
Maybe its because i come from the time of lan parties and boardgames, you know, where you play face to face, and if you play scummy, you will have to play alone. Thus, i respect my gaming partners, but expect the same.

I usually kill the rats, but not when 2 are hiding. If they want to lead me to the other person, I will gladly take the one who was going to waste my time over the one who respected my time. Rat or no.
I still do gens, even if 3 need to be done and the other guy is just hidding. However, i always see killer players claim they then go for the one hidding, and let the one on the gens go, but usually, they just down me, hook me and let the other one go (he is hatchcamping anyway), and then tell me afterwards they didnt want to waste more time than they already have.
-
I pointed out 2 survivors to a killer once. They both were an swf, one with a map, one with a key. I run kindred. The other solo guy got downed, and i see the swf not on a gen, not in a chase, but in a corner hidding. Ok, might be the killer is there.
I rescue the hooked one, the killer comes, downs me, and still, both survivors are at that corner, still not doing gens.
I get rescued, and run to them, and when i start working on a gen, they at least join. the killer comes, we scatter, and i go to another gen. And then the solo guy gets hooked again, and both swf are in that corner, again.
the solo guy hook suicided, and thats the first time i worked with the killer. 2 survivors, doing nothing but hidding, letting the rest work for their escape and taking all the risk...not a single gen had popped that i hadnt worked on (the other solo was a decent chaser, and i finished 2 gens alone, one i worked with the swf.
So i came to the killer, and lead them where they were hidding. He killed them, and let me go. Of course they reportet me afterwards (at least they claimed they did), but i really didnt care about that. Never got any reaction from support about it, anyway.

SPIRIT
- Make her appear intermittently (thus able to see survivors and vice versa) while phasing, with a short phasing sound. This should occur for 0.3s every 1.5s. The Husk should stay at the original location. This allows for more strategizing and counterplay on both sides
- Make her phasing noise heard by survivors within the Husk's Terror Radius. There's no reason she should be able to mind-game a survivor just by standing still.
- Remove passive phasing. It requires absolutely no skill to use and it messes with survivors when her Red Stain disappears.
- Change the passive phasing add-ons to reduce successful attack cooldown by 10 and 20% for attacks during the post-Phase walk period.
- Debuff Mother-Daughter Ring to a 30% increase in movement speed.
- Fix duration add-ons so recharge rate isn't buffed as well
Somehow, your suggestions have nothing to do with a rework, just with nerfing the spirit. There is a difference, you know.
