Survivors hate Wesker because they constantly faced him. Same will happen with any killer that becomes popular. Weak or not.
Id argue people would actually enjoy a popular killer that you can dunk on easily. At least the survivor side would enjoy it at the very least.

Singularity is in a great position. He's hard to play and has a lot of decision fatigue but can be insanely oppressive.
invest the same time learning singularity and blight, one will reward you with an oppressive killer that can pressure survivors who are also good at the game, the other will give you a pubstomper that will get destroy only people who have no clue what they are doing and the moment you face a decent team team they clap you, why should I invest my time learning singulerity when other better killers that actually reward time invested exist?

nah, leave slinger alone, he has gutted but then MfT killed him, let him rest in peace with his 4 mains. Xeno will be nerfed shortly so I would not even take time in making this argument as it will probably not be relevant in the next patch.

Why run DH with Made For This when you are most likely going to get more value out of Resilience with DH since both can be up at the same time, serve the same purpose, and Resilience gives you a little bonus even outside of chase
Dead Hard has also fallen off immensely compared to what it used to be, and doesnt even compete with Sprint Burst anymore which is now the obvious choice for best Exhaustion perk
How is it bad, like I genuinly dont get it, you have made for this and in the case the killer somehow wins a mindgame or you misjudge a distance you can just DH and continue looping(even better if you have resilience), which even if you ultimately go down you should have wasted enough time to at the very least get 1 and a half gen done.

Of course it's OP, it's super broken, in addition not everyone will be using a calm spirit waiting for this perk to appear in the game, another detail, it's the same thing as the locker safe, it was enough for the killers to use Lightborn, but the devs still nerfed locker safe, people at the time didn't want to remove the barbecue chilli to put a perk to not be blinded by the flashlight, you need to be less selfish, always see both sides, everyone wants to have fun
Wait, wait, wait I tought telling people to just equip a perk was fine, like each time someone complains about MfT they just need to equip exhaustion perks, why is it now different with calm spirit?

You can't unlock him with shards, only real money. So you have to pay for him.
If you pay, you will get very busted killer with almost no counters. This killer makes Blight look like balanced.
- He chases you with 4.6, his power is always active unless if you burn him.
- Burn him? It's kinda impossible because turrets are garbage and doing nothing to him. So he is staying full power almost all time.
- All ranged killers needs to charge and hold their powers for use it. For Xeno, he just using power. He is not holding it. He does not need to plan how to use power like Nemmy, Pyramid or Demo. Even Slinger and Huntress. Just chase survivor with normal speed and whenever you get range to hit them, do it. Braindeadly easy.
- All ranged killers are losing speed when they hold their powers, Xeno chases you with 4.6 while his ranged power is still active. And he is not losing speed for his power because he does not need to hold it like other ranged killers.
- All ranged killers need to cancel their m2 power for m1 you. There is little cooldown for it, so survivor can jump or use pallet. For Xeno? This is not case. He does not need to cancel his power because he does not need to hold it.
- All ranged killers are giving you clear information about they are going to use their power. Xeno is not giving any warning. His animation is not clear. So you don't know if he is gonna m1 you or m2 you.
- Missing m2 hits is not making him slow enough. It feels like killer just missed m1 hit. He is almost losing no distance. So dodging his m2 hits is kinda pointless because he is never losing you or you are never making distance against him.
- This killer creates lose/lose cases for survivors. Drop pallet/vault windows = m2 and get injured. Fake it = m1 and get injured. His speed is making him so easy to zone survivors. There is no way to outplay patient Xeno.
- He has bloodlust bug i think? Or maybe it is just his base-kit. Who knows.
- All other teleport killers have cooldown or they need to build teleport points. This killer can teleport with no limits.
Thank you BHVR. It's seriously good way to make chapter sell crazy. Put crazy strong killer and chapter will sell so good. But next time also put crazy survivor perk, so you can sell to everyone.
Didnt they added a crazy survivor perk last chapter?, literally turns off like half the killers in the roster, I cannot think of a better perk without it straigth up winning the match for you.

Compared to 4.25 on a killer like Deathslinger. Xeno's power is objectively far stronger since it is easier to use and can down you across pallets. You also do not lose anywhere near as much distance.
Good? Slinger has a far more powerfull chase tool than xeno, punishing them the same would make xenos power worse in every aspect.

Chase Merchant is just as annoying and oppressive as Chess Merchant they really need to rework her power completely. Dbd is in such a unfun state. We are literally getting Alien and people could not care less. We need new game modes and better designed powers. It would be nice if the people making the game and the people in charge of the decisions started caring more about what they created.
As much as I agree with you in regards with SM, a lot of people are hyped for alien so this conception seems to have no evidence behind it, also it would be really good if you described what a fun power is, since we can agree things like knight and SM are unfun af, but then to some people any power that is remotely good is classified as unfun.

I think with Range and Detonation, Doc is actually okay against MFT.
Also, I often use Knights Guards for stalling and occupying multiple people at once. Imo, if you're expecting Knight's Guards to get hits or downs on their own, you're playing him wrong.
I agree on the knight that using guards for a hit is mostly useless, however against mtf assasin loses his only benefit which is speed, still iffy about doctor as personally I have see far more doctos get deletrd by MfT than actually succesfully get the hit with a shock, but that might be because I havent seen a very good doctor yet.

Off the top of my head, there are less than 5 straight up M1 zero chase tool killers on the entire roster at this point. Are people not using their powers?
I suppose they are using them, however MfT substantially changes how those powers are effective, for example doctors shock ceases to exist, singularitys overclock you can pretty much ignore, night guards are just lmao, slinger/huntress can catch if you severely misplay a tile, if you don't dw you are safe, pig its pig dont have high hopes for her, trickster might as well not have a power against MfT, legion is just an m1 character so he just has to deal with it , same with plague (if she has no corrupt purge), GF and myers you probably can stop healing so exposed doesnt matter and use the speed boost to keep looping them (ghostface might be an issue since he can sneak up on you if you are distracted), freddy is a joke so idk if I would discuss him.
So yeah many killers can counter MfT, that is very true, and its not excludive to their strenght, for example clown absolutelly dunks on MfT and clown is honestly a free 4 man escape if your team is semi-decent, however that doesnt make the original comment I posted any less true, nurse and blight get way more value against MfT than any other characterbin the game brcause they frankly do not get affected by the perk.

Ironic that you say that, considering Lerys is widely regarded as Nurse and Blight's worst maps by a country mile (somehow even worse than RPD)
It may be their worse maps but they can still get 1000% more value against MfT than a meme m1 killer could dream of.

If you are chasing a Survivor long enough for them to be able to get rid of slipstream multiple times, you are chasing them for WAY too long.
Also having a Survivor use an EMP in the middle of a chase is probably the worst thing they can do, as its super easy to reapply Slipstreamed.
Honestly thinking about learning video editing just to make a video on a guide because so many people are confused on what to do as him
You don't need to, if this is against the rules reply and I eill deletr the post but there is this dude called cocolatte on youtube and twitch and he is a beast on singularity, he has very enterraining videos but also gives very good tips about how to play singularity, teachrs mindgames, when to tp, how to position biopods etc.
However even as an avid watcher I see he puts a 1000% of his effort for a result that a blight/wesker can get if they just got good muscle memory so I would not recomend practicing singularity yourself, however watch cocolatte, hes really a hidden gem.

With that logic you're better off just investing time in only Nurse considering she's the best killer in the game with by far the best reward
There are several other killers that have high skill floors and are worst than Singularity
I agree, altho not to that extend, if you will actually practice a killer in dbd do NOT waste your time, practice nurse, blight, spirit, wesker and maybe arstist, else you are pretty much wasting your time. Because for example if you lets say practice pig or trapper, any team that died to you will most likely die to another pig/trapper player with way less practice so essentially your practice meant nothing.however if you practice a killer that does actually reward your skill and has room for your skill to matter your practice would be fruitful.
-
@Shroompy said:

Tbf you are better off investing said practice time on a killer that rewards it like blight, wesker, oni, even nurse, pracicing singularity is putting a lot of effort to be maybe a nuisance to good players, yes you will destroy bad player but even trapless trapper can 4k those teams.

I feel anything you do are lose-lose situation. If you do a Gen with a TV on nearby
(1)You take the tape
- she steal attack and you gain 2 stacks
- you deny TV for your teammates to take the tape
(2)You dont take the tape
- She teleport right next to you
- You and teammates gain alot of stacks
I played against her a few times, some of them I only run around to take tape, cant do Gen. Even if I able to out run and not down.
I have an issue with that take the tape one, why people still get stealth attack by onryo when she literally has a lullaby that alerts you nearby and a demanifestation sound that lets you use your exhaustion perk to get away and if you are using mft and not exhaustion sadako is literally a non issue if you get to a half decent loop.
-
Not really, as someone who plays a lot of singularity, why should anyone invest time and effort into a killer that does need that time and effort and frankly the reward is mid at best.
Like if you used the same time to master singularity and say blight or wesker, your time is has a way better payoff playing those last two than singularity, in that regard there is not really an incentive to play him.
Casual players will be repelled because he needs too much effort to play and swetay/competitive players know they can invest their time into more rewarding killers.
Finally why do I play him? Because I like the cctv type of gameplay and im too bad to play blight if I could get good at blight id think id barely touch anyone in the roster.

-
I think it should be chenged due to the fact that the counterplay is a lose-lose situation, you hit the person that is gonna fo the combo and the other person can escape while you are on hit cooldown, or you eat up the endurance, so in both scenarios time is wasted for you as a killer and if people manage to destroy slinger due to his lose-lose scenarios I think we should apply the same phylosophy here

the survivors still won't know who you are going for. and currently you can still stealth to them after they know it's you. so I really don't see that point.
so they quit 10 seconds before the usual? damn...
Not true actually, If I know im facing a ghostface/myers/pig I prepare for it and its MUCH less likely they can get s surprise attack as if I didnt know, thats why I love stealth killers when playing on a swf, you can just call where you see them and like 70% of their power goes poof.

Being able to avoid traps set too close to windows has always been a thing, it's just that now the distance has changed. You need to force yourself to set them a bit further than you're used to until it becomes a habit and it won't be an issue anymore.
However, I'm curious because you specified "male survivor", does that mean it's different with female survivors ? If that's the case then surely something is not working properly
Currently setting them at a distance that catches them when fast vaulting will make them be able to just circle it and medium vault without getting trapped but if you swing your hitbox is bigger and will get you caught you you are literally setting a trap that will prevent a hit on them, also that distance is often away from the grass on shack so the trapp could not be more visible.
Also male survivors vaulting farther than female survivors has always been a thing, same as female survivors having an invisible head hitbox compared to male ones, so technically this is intended much like the recent fast vaults as it had always been the case.

Damn, hope you find a killer that you enjoy tho, I personally had to drop my main too, I used to play slinger so much them MfT happened, I switched to dredge idk why I just love playing him, I also play some singularity too but I know he is not a good experience to play as so id recomend dredge better.
-
You know what, let me make you a little bit more upset, the recent fast vault bug fix had the added effect of making fast vaults bypass traps right after the vault, and if you place them further from the vault survivors can just move around the trap and vault with no issue, but you cannot as killer hitboxes are bigger.
What does this mean? That now trapping vaults is only usefull if you are playing against bots/very new players lmao just another common trapper L.
My advice: play wesker or blight if you enjoy them, they are pretty fun.

She is one of those killers that limits herself to exist, like she can be really good but is not satisfying gameplay really, there is no dopamine rush when you do something with her.
Also due to people not really understanding how she plays like 80% of people believe she boils down to place crow on loop and survivor leaves when tagging people and then shotgunning is way more powerfull and what good artists do.

He’s a killer that takes time to learn but is fun and rewarding. I understand not liking him because of his high skill floor but he doesn’t deserve to be put in the same category as Knight and Skull Merchant in terms of how successful or unsuccessful they were.
I main singularity and community wise the dlc IS a flop, very few people play him and his perks are niche at best, while gabriel brought a game changing perk, singularity just exists.
Mind you I love him, I love the cctv aspect of his power but I too realise he wasn't a succesfull chapter.

Because the payoff feels so much more rewarding when playing a character that doesnt hold your hand for the majority of the match.
When I play Blight I dont feel like I won, I feel like he did. When I play Billy, I feel like the outcome of that match was mainly because of my decisions and overall skill with him.
I think its dependent of the player, like I will use your example, when I hit a flick with blight I feel like I am cracked, or when I manage to get a hug tech (which is like 4 times total, since I suck at blight), but whrn I hit a curve as billy all thats in my head is "this survivor messed up badly, if they were good this shouldnt have happened".
Same happens for a win, when I win as blight I feel like each time I am building towarda becoming a stronger blight player, however when I win as billy my only tought is "good lord I didnt face good player or they would have stomped me"
You know the worst part, because people said billy is more fun and takes more skill I dedicated my time to learning billy, so I can curve pretty consistently and do some cool plays, yet I HATE it, each time I do something cool as billy I wonder why I didn't spend my time learning blight (also because I like blight aestethics WAY more) but learning billy for like a year I can say at least for me: I wasted my time and would have rather learned blight instead, because I am a horrible blight player and I hate being one.
-
@Shroompy said:
He's not badly designed, hes just hard to learn and play since theres no other killer like him
Reason why no one is playing him is because if a killer isnt easy and doesnt give immediate results, most people just think theyre garbage
I like singularity, in fact he is one of my mains, but think about this, why play a killer that requires much more effort for a lesser reward.
Like I play him because I like the camera aspect of his power but he is a billy type of issue, there is no reason to play billy because blight exists, blight rewards your skill, billy requires too much skill for little payoff, same as singularity, but he has the added factor of survivors being able to turn off your power, which will deter any new player from using him.

All killers are good at chases. I don’t get where people get off saying they’re not. Some are just much better at them than others.
Any m1 in a semi good setup has to drop a chase or bloodlust, that is if the survivor is at the very least sentient and has played more than 3 hours.
However I may say like 90% of soloq players have no idea whats going on, I have downed people on the game safe room and on GoJ main as dredge, no survivor that can think should have let that happen EVER.
-
Bhvr made people stop playing wesker for a week and people know want a nerf to the replacement, I know onryo is on the stronger side atm but it seems a good way to show that people didn't had an issue with wesker because they wanted variety, people just don't want to face good killers.
-
Skull merchant or trapper, skull merchant because she shouldnt exist and trapper because I never play him and never see him he is also just a meme character, so him being deleteed wont be even an issue.
-
agreed, even tho I am not brazilian I am south american and we have some pretty good horror in our legends and stories, from colombia to chile there are stories that will leave you as pale as sadako, so it pains me when they adapt traditional japanese stories with a modern touch incredibly well (spirit and oni), they can make a killer a representation of the hopelessness of living in a country were you have no agency against bigger powers(artist) which suberts horror in a very unique way, to then drop the ball so hard on skull merchant.
As you mentioned they had A LOT to pick from, thats partly what scares me if bhvr makes another character from here, while I personally would want to see a subersion of horror like for example making El silbon (a very good horror tale shared by a lot of countries) not a ghost but a really twisted man that hunts in the night and collets his victim's bones, so they didn't copy paste the original tale but rather gave it flavour, instead if they say they are gonna do another south american killer I am scared of they adding a random dude that break dances and has a dark past with idk "edgy horrow music albums" and then they spew how they wanted to represent the culture.
mind you this is all only about lore and design, I havent even spoken on how HORRIBLE skull merchant is gameplay wise, honestly id say she is worst than old legion, because old legion was a dumpter fire gameplay wise but at least their lore and design while simple had a good feel about it, skull merchant is irredimable the only good aspect she has is that thanks to her the gen kick meta was removed, awfull character.

I have a way of replicating old sadako, hear me out play freddy and dont use his snares, you have a killer with no chase power, a lullaby that alerts survivors for its precence and a mediocre teleport, you got old sadako.

So instead, all of the killers are balanced against 4% of the 4 man SWFs, and 10% of 3 man SWFs?
Why should 86% of the survivor population, the largest population of players, solo-queue/2 man SWF, have the worst game experience. It makes no sense.
Ser how I never said we should balance for 4 man swfs I judt pointed out hoe balancing for bad players requires making all killers near trapper level, if you want to argue challenge that idea not a point I never made.

Still, It didnt need a nerf at all. Current Spine Chill is using a perk slot for the info you can see with your own eyes.
The only people that used spine chill (at least in my games) were very new players that didnt have many perks and were mostly using the general survivor perks.
I used it to be inmune to stealth killers as it basically gave a sadako lullaby to them, mind you since it didnt showed the radious I couldnt know how close they were but it lighted up and gave me the warning to prerun making ambushes basically only happen if I was really distracted.

It's way too random for an insta kill mechanic. Pig's traps reveal their aura all the time and you cna always interact with them as well as a fixed timer, besides she needs to down you first.
Sadako's tvs have what feels like random cooldowns because unless you have coms to know what is happening you have no info on what tvs are on or off, so it feels random.
Not being able to remove those stacks because you didn't knew that one tv was off and should have searched for another one, searching another one to put it while hoping for sadako to not just tunnel you out first chance she gets, because she has all the info she would need to do it while you have close to none.
Like great you picked up a tape, she knows where you, she knows what tvs you are close and if she hits you she can put you that much closer to death while forcing to get a tape back again, because that tape was destroyed, oh that tv might still be on cooldown, so you better search for another tv.
May of this issues are aliviated in SWF, but good luck in solo q.
Countering Sadako isn't as easy as pick up a tape and she is useless.
But whatever, somehow all survivors are really dumb but still win way too much against killers.
I agree rn sadako is way too strong for the average soloQ team (altho everyone except trapless trapper is tbh), but why use pig as an example, she is literally a joke of a killer, this comes from someone who has played and pays pig a lot, id be better if you point how sadako should be changed without taking pig as a reference, since she is barely a threat to any sentient player.
However I cannot play dbd atm but with what I have seen I do believe sadako needs some changes as she requires a lot of coordination to counter, I just really hope they dont do a billy/slinger change and destroy the killer altho that would make her be clasified as fun like most of the killers that have been gutted before.

Yeah, quite surprising that people jumped the gun on that one and called a Killer weak(er) after some changes.
@Topic:
I have not played against her that much, but my games were fine at the moment. Granted, if there is a build which is reliable to get Condemned Kills, this should be nerfed. I see Condemned the same as Pigs Traps - some Slowdown and a threat, but not a consistent one. You should die via Condemned if you dont do anything against it, but it should not be a common thing.
So I guess there will be more work on Sadako to not have her getting Condemned Kills on such a reliable basis.
I think thats an issue tho, since condemned unlike pig traps requires you to at least pay attention to more than one thing and you and I know for a fact that is not something that teamates in soloQ are capable of.

Things like that makes me believe they have no testers in office.
I actuallly think they have testers, but their imagination only goes so far as bhvr tell them, so they probably used dull merchant to put trackers on survivors and put drones to scout, they do not think like a dbd player does, so they never even tought of thr posibility of the horrible gameplay that she has.
This can be good with killers like blight or wesker who by the testers playing the simplest way possible they have overlooked issues that make them incredibly fun and raise their skill ceilling.
Or bad in the case of knight and cringe merchant were they overlooked a flawed design, or singularity that showed testers do not know how to play survivor in an efficient way, so they thought EMPs were ok.
However I think unlike popular belief they DO test a lot of technical issues, like people will joke about how suddendly clown doesn't work in an update thats unfelated to him but never stop to realize the amount of debugging and testing that goes into adding new mechanics such as weskers bound or singularitys verticallity in cameras.

Yet solo-queue and 2 man SWF is 90% of the player base.
Why is the game being balanced around SWF to the detriment of 90% of the player base?
If we balanced for those players then all killers should be trapper strength, as that is a killer thr average soloQ player can handle, since they cannot loop, play macro gameplay, shut doen set ups(so even trapper is too much), use eyes and sound to find stealth killer killers.
And as I said even trapper is too much for soloQ as some addons may be seen as oppresive, but you are correct making all killers like that would balance the game for 90% of players however thr killer experience would be horrible because as soon as someone is not awful at the game you as a player lose all agency on thr match, thats the issue when you balance for bad players.
My point being there is two extremes and I personally do NOT like playing killers like trapper which are thr manageable characters for thr average player that doesnt know whats hoing on.
-
@GolbezGarlandGabrant said:
I never liked the Plaything/Penti combo. Sure you can say don't cleanse Plaything but try telling your SoloQ team that. Then you have to keep track of others totem and hope they don't break a dull for something like their Inner Healing.
Also your Solo teammates will prioritize searching over gens which is another slowdown in itself.
People not knowing how to play the game is not an excuse to say something is unbalanced, for example in a majority of cases cleansing against plague is a bad choice, however since soloQ teamate seems to have no idea ehats going on so they cleanse, by that logic plague is literally OP. People cleasing plaything is literally a hard skill issue, the only reason for doing it is if thr killer has another hex that you need to get ridd of i.e devour or something like that and you get plaything by mistake.
