While today he can't even have a 20 trials win streak in the normal matchmaking.

and that's bad? no one should have a 20 trial win streak LOL what do killer mains expect? that's ridiculous

  • @JeanCharpentier said:

Yes, we can't figure it out, why don't you like the state of the game ?

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/BZ1EJVIDEQ97/image.png

Every ######### trial is like this, EVERY ######### trial

We do not understand, the game is perfectly balance, kill rate is 50%

When i listen your stream and read what you write, BHVR, i have just the feeling that you think we are fools.

Funny that you think Iron Will is not a problem, in fact it's one of the most annoying perks out there imo. I don't mind the second chance perks like UB or DS too much, the combination of both is annoying but i think DH is much more of a problem right now.

Otz would never win a single game against a good SWF playing optimally, not a single one.

That's not true. He played against tournament teams and won. He even played in tournaments and destroyed teams there. Of course you can say "well they didnt play optimally" but who does ever play optimally and makes no mistakes? No one can beat a football team which plays optimally.

  • it just means that they don't show your grade anymore, because too many players complained about playing against "iri grades" while they themselve are ash. They don't understand that grades have no influence over skill or matchmaking.

  • She will be stronger after the next update (Boon nerf, Sloppy buff). I think her teleport is alright (it would be OP if you could just endlessly teleport around without downsides) and her illusive appearence can be quite tricky in chase. She still suffers from all the downsides normal M1 killers have, but i think she's on the upper spectrum of those. You need to get rid of some important pallets quickly and then switch targets at the right time so the other one runs into the dead zones. I never really played her but i play Wraith a lot and i can win with him against a good team if the map isn't totally in their favour.

  • i know this feeling from back then, i can say that after 3000 hours i don't feel anxious playing killer anymore.

There are those matches that just make me rage or make me feel bad because everything is survivor-sided (map, rng, spawns) and i get genrushed and BMed, but that's just part of the game i guess. It also doesn't happen a lot.

Bullying me isn't really possible anymore because i can profit from stuff like bodyblocking or overly cocky macro-clickers, and i know when to proxy camp and tunnel or when to switch aggro. I started to play Nurse around one month ago and i have a very good time with her, even though she can still be bullied if the survivors are VERY good (aka "in your head") and you have a bad day.

But generally my experience as killer is much better than as solo survivor, with a lot of killers i have low MMR and play against survivor with ~200h while i'm very experienced, i don't know the killer's power much in those cases but i still can profit from my game sense and M1 gameplay.

I recently played Hag and Trapper and i had a blast because the survivors would run into every of my stupid traps. I often just let them escape at the end (at least 1-2 of them) so my MMR with those killers doesn't skyrocket, because those are my chillout killers.

  • @N8dog said:

the game SUPPOSED to be killer sided! It's a 1v4 game in which the 4 have do what they can to waste time of the killer effectively so that as many of them possible can survive. If you or one or more teammates are going to be incompetent while they in turn are not, then they SHOULD obliterate the survivors. 1+1 does not equal fish.

this thread is old but i answer you anyway. Killer-side and survivors side both equals 1. You can't compare one killer to one survivor. The 4 survivors should have the same chance of winning as 1 killer. Balancing this isn't easy. But comms aren't actually that much of a thing, the individual looping skill/ making no mistakes is first, then comes game sense and team coordination. I scrimmed against tournament teams in the last 2 months who have better comms than usual and i beat them. Now compare that to your usual pub swf who are not communicating optimally, doing small talk and jokes most of the time and making a lot of mistakes. Killer mains tend to think they're strong because they "obliterate" solo casuals at 4 gens and when they lose hard against an actually good team they cry "SWF OP, DELETE SWF!" (now that stretched res can't be the scapegoat anymore). The truth is, a good killer can beat most swf's (i've beaten so many teams who were obv swf, if you play optimally and don't care about anyones fun its not that hard) and solo should get some QoL changes.

So just because you find smth "annoying" you think people should say it should get nerfed? I'll assume you disagree with that.

I can list a hundred things I feel "annoyed" about killers, but I don't ask for nerfs knowing it has nothing to do with actual balance, but rather my personal entitlement.

I'm fine if you feel annoyed about Iron Will, but it doesn't justify any logic behind a nerf.

there are actually some people saying it is the best perk for survivors. The way it works is just wrong imo. I play Spirit a lot and i would be fine if it enables survivors breathing like they're healthy. Survivors with IW are actually easier to track for me when they're healthy than injured, and this is just ridiculous. Don't want to start a debate about realism in Dbd but making no noises at all is just absurd...

  • @Voodoo_Thirsty said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2877260#Comment_2877260

Are you seriously complaining about a perk that no other killer has a problem with except for Spirit?

That's like saying Stridor is OP, when nobody used stridor except for Spirits.

IW only counters Spirits and that's fine. In fact, it's a good thing since I was sick and tired of giving free information to Spirits who didn't even bother to mind game. When that was the entire thing going for her.

IW is annoying on many killers but especially on Nurse for me (against Spirit too of course, even more).

Yeah, thank you killer-mains for keeping the survivor meta stale for 4 years.

it was unhealthy and unfun AF and literally made playing Wraith (my main) impossible for a while.

i haven't seen a Spirit in ages and the few times i did it was usually a baby with Cherry Blossom and Mother Daughter Ring. The few only good Spirits i've seen were in comp scrims, all the others either quiited or switched to other killers.

  • @GeneralChaos said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2835511#Comment_2835511

No, they don't. Many killers vastly overestimate how many SWFs they go up against; most players (more than 50%, the last time I saw data on it) solo queue, and then it's steep drop to a full 4-man (which I think is less than 10%?). Out of those, not all are on comms. Out of the ones on comms, not all are Seal Team 6, and so on.

It's one of those things where it's easy to point the finger and blame, because there's often no way to confirm except your own gut feeling. It was a tough match, it's a SWF. The survivors played well, had to be on comms. And so on. I've played in several games where the killer has hurled abuse at "SWF trash" (even when they got 3+ kills!) or some variation thereof, and in fact we were just a bunch of solo queue players who played a decent game.

SWF is one of, if not THE most overrated thing in Dbd. I played in a regular 4man for almost a year and i'm playing in a comp team now, we still get killed a lot of times by better killers. If you can't stand in chase, no amount of comms will help you. If you have bad RNG or ######### maps, no comms will help you. If 4 solo players have game sense and experience and know how to loop, they will beat the killer. Of course being on comms is an advantage compared to a full solo team but i've beaten a multitude of 4mans because coordination like a competitive team is not as easy as people think against a good, sweaty killer. SWF on comms is not the problem, the problems are perks like DH or CoH and ######### maps and the fact that a 4man can stack their OP meta perks.

  • I'm Iri 2 as killer, i played around 10-15 different killers, some of them have very low MMR (i only played against relatively new players) and i'm very bad at them. Getting high grades is very easy especially as killer. It really depends on how often you play. I also played against a full Iri 1 swf and destroyed them. Players who play this game very often and have high grades could possibly be a bit better but they don't have too. Since you can't lose grades anymore, it doesn't say anything else than how much you play.

  • i played against Spirits who were legit hackers but you could easily tell. If you hide in some corner with no gens and she phases exactly to your position without having scratchmarks or anything. She downed everyone in 30 seconds and then spammed ez in aftergame chat. The steam account was completely new.

  • @Pulsar said:

I did try out a build of CoB, PGTW, DMS and Pain Resonance.

    Wasn't bad at all.

those perks don't work together, PR is fine with Pop because most won't let it regress but DMS actively hinders you to kick gens

  • i wouldn't say it's that great honestly. Kicking gen after gen is such a timewaste

  • @ObservantOfTime said:

I don't even notice the Iron Will on survivors, they make enough other noises so that I can pick them off without much of an issue. The only time I tend to struggle somewhat is on maps that have smooth floors, like indoor maps. I can't see the vegetation move, and have to rely on breathing / footsteps alone, which is harder, but still in the realm of possibility. I've played so much spirit though I could probably track survivors blindfolded.

Sure, I concede that iron will makes it harder, but I don't agree that it's a hard-counter to her ability. You probably just need a better headset is all.

don't know if the headphone thing was a meme or not, but i'm already fairly good at tracking with her, i can track healthy survivors via breathing when i phase through them, the problem is that iron will completely stops breathing. In many situations once you lost sight, they have a multitude of options and you only have scratchmarks (which can be wonky af if they run near a door or something).

    @sizzlingmario4 said:

IW isn’t really a super healthy perk regardless of whether we’re talking about spirit or not.

I agree with your proposed change, I think that makes it more fair. Some people have suggested just reducing it to like 75% or something but tbh that would probably just destroy it.

yea someone else suggested 90% but breathing would be already enough for me personally

  • @danielmaster87 said:

The devs pick and choose when they want to balance off of the statistics, and when they want to balance off low or high MMR. They're totally inconsistent.

Another pro- Adrenaline Vial nerf post. Sad.

Blight doesn't need any stronger add ons, he is already the best or second best, he has a strong basekit, there are other killers who need it much more. There is just so much inconsistency when it comes to add ons in this game.

  • @GannTM said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2859014#Comment_2859014

Not really. It’s not as easy to react to her as you think because her movement speed. Stand still mind game was the only basekit thing that needed to go so directional audio wasn’t necessary but it still didn’t kill her anyway.

i noticed that good survivors will immediately do something when you start to phase so that your speed advantage can be countered if they're next to pallet or something. It's a lot of 50/50s though. It really depends, on some tiles it's in her favour because you can just react to the vault and in open field you mostly get free hits, but this goes for nearly every killer.

  • @ThanksForDaily said:

Sorry that IW makes Spirits Job a little bit "harder".

    *Cherry blossom laughs*

i only play brown and yellow add ons with her (and green recharge), i don't like cheap aura/instinct add ons on my mains

  • Twins: they do usually very good in comp dbd but those matches have different rules (no boons etc), i guess with the right survivor loadout they're not that great but imo they're undervalued in the dbd community. Should be b-tier at least.

Spirit: she is my main and i agree that against survivors with IW and a good, creative or stealthy team she struggles, but she is still A tier at least

Myers: well he has good add ons but he is still a normal M1 killer and a good team will loop him long and counter is insta-mori. Needs to go down one tier

    Artist one tier up

    Trickster 1-2 tiers down

Doctor, Bubba, Huntress one tier down

    @MegMain98 said:

In no way shape or form is Spirit anything lower than A tier.

Even with Iron Will and Shadow Step (which most people do not run Shadow Step) the power in a chase is all on her.

Huntress is good, but not the third best. She is way too map dependent.

Bubba in A tier? I guess now the grass is blue.

Spirit & Iron Will: depends on the tile, in open field you will clearly notice when they're starting to walk and juke you, but in a tile with many options like windows, pallets and corners, Iron Will is an absolute hard counter against Spirit

  • From all the killers i've tried i disliked Billy the most, the chainsaw handling is just so unnatural and clunky. I also dislike Huntress, it feels sluggy, Deathslinger feels more natural to me even though he is also a bit sluggy since the nerf

    95%?

I...sort of doubt that, unless they are running those addons *every game*.

Yes, Otz isn't the best Nurse player in the world. But he's still better than the vast, vast majority of Nurses in the game.

But yes, I find Nurse very tedious, despite her power. She's a one trick pony with a suitcase nuke.

Don't know about the 95% but a really good Nurse will win most of her matches even in high MMR. There is not much counterplay to a GOOD nurse, because the usual tricks don't work when the first blink was already good.

  • One DS is fine but against a good team this can be already enough. It's like Dead Hard, if the player is weak it won't do much. because they will use it in some deadzone to get 2 additional seconds.

DS gets gamebreaking when there are more than 2 of it imo. Hooking everyone alternately doesn't work in games were both sides are equally loaded and skilled.

Hug tech is mindgaming, aka perfectly counterable.

If "no counterplay" is the reasoning for nerfs there is no killer who deserved to be nerfed.

No it isn't, i've scrimmed against many different comp Blights and there is no "perfect counter" at all around cars or similar things, even if you guess right. Sometimes when there is a pallet you know that he can't rush around it because of collision, that's it. He is way too fast to react on small loops and all you can do is drop the pallet and then it's a deadzone. If people mindgame you as Blight on cars then it's a you-problem. He is the most played killer in most comp scrims and for a reason...

  • @MonsterInMyMind said:

    • Camping wouldn't be an issue if the game's didn't progress as fast you're seeing more camping because Killers believe the games over after 2 gens are done.
    • It's not just Survivor perks being nerfed there's been Killer perks nerfed as well welcome to balancing a game.
    • You only see 3 Killers because anytime Behavior has tried to buff a Killer like Freddy for example he's cried about and gutted back to nothing. Hence why Blight is still untouched.
    • SBMM isn't perfect but it's been confirmed adjustments are happening by a Dev
    • Lastly the Grind the Dev's have confirmed something for the Grind is in prototype they can't explain yet but it's on it's way at some point

What it seems like is you're currently bored so take a break from Dead by Daylight we've all been there sometimes it's healthy too

Freddy was braindead because he was easy AF to play but gave incredible value for nothing, especially when played with specific meta perks. He was like playing killer with training wheels. He was boring to play for both sides but he had immense pressure without any requirement. If you played other killers before you could just pick him up and insta-win, his anti-loop was easy to use and effective on small or medium loops, and once the snowball was rolling he could just teleport around to get huge Pop/Ruin value. He also had annoying slowdown-add ons, which together with his permanent teleports to gens made playing against him an excercise of patience. Sure, he was still an M1 killer who had to play around pallets but with his semi-stealth and anti loop he had good tools for that. He was hated by almost everyone i know.

Blight should get a small nerf, at least some of his add ons, or make him 110%, i mean he is fine generally but he is kinda like Nurse, as soon as you're good with him the counterplay goes to 0. He get's so many bullshit hits, all the hug-tech stuff around cars and stuff, as soon as you're out of pallets you are just dead in 2 seconds.

The only reason people like to play against Blight is that 90% of the pub-Blights are not good and do too many mistakes.

    • do not phase long because this gives them time to mindgame you, use short bursts
    • listen for footsteps and watch for grass, slow vaults also make noises
    • they know you can see their scratchmarks, so they will start to walk at some point
    • it's a ######### hard counter -.- since stridor nerf there is not much you can against someone who is really good with it. You just have to 110% chase em
  • it's only NOT broken in lower MMR regions, as soon as everyone knows what they're doing, some maps are literally unwinnable for some killers. Just had a match with Wraith on The Game... they don't care much about balance because they want the game to be a casual, suprising experience were everyone is just doing what they want and every match feels different.

The problem is that most people play for winning and the MMR made us leave all the meme perks and add ons and forced us to play super efficient every game, which led to every game feel the same kinda. And only then you see how badly balanced some things are...

  • Hard to say because you have to take maps, add ons and perks into account.

I would day it's someone out of Trapper, Legion or maybe Clown.

  • i miss it too. It was a fun map for most of my killers and i liked the SciFi vibe of it.

  • i mained him until i started maining spirit again a few weeks ago. I think he is hard to balance. If you make his Speed Boost stronger he gets cheap hits nearly everytime when chasing someone in open field, besides getting hits on smaller loops (which was good imo). After his buff and before his nerf i've won like 80% of my games (pre-MMR era)

Now his power is nearly useless in loops but at least he is not that cheap anymore "cloack - catch up - uncloak - save hit". It's worth to take extra time to find a good approaching spot, but the Boon meta and "Dead Hard to pallet" hurts him a lot. He is very weak now and on survivor sided maps against a good and experienced team you will either eat pallet after pallet or they will hold W and be at the next loop before you're even near them.

  • just click on "Store" button and then go back and then its normal again :)

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Yeah they mentioned it in the last q&a stream. It has always been annoying, but because of "exhausted on the ground" it wasn't a clear choice for many people. Then they fixed it with hit validation in a recent patch. I imagine the usage rate has increased significantly since then.

i'm not lying, it's on 3 or 4 survivors in EVERY match when i play with my 2 mains (survs are usually above 1k hours there)

  • I'm still not convinced what the real issues behind the decline are but i guess it's save to say now that MMR was an own goal.

I'm also sure that boons are only a minor issue and not the reason half of the playerbase left. I know a lot of survivors who quitted or rarely play anymore. I guess the missing incentives for being good and the bad matchmaking are the main reasons.

Perks like Boons and Dead Hard are annoying but they're only the symptoms of the MMR matchmaking, basically showing what's wrong with the game at higher levels and how badly balanced it is if everyone is playing for pure efficiency. We had bad perks like old DS or old Undying before but games were still more fun because you could play without being in an absolute competitive mode.

  • a lot of survivors doing FOV techs nowadays to fake Dead Hard and get distance, this is far stronger imo. Yea some survs are really good at 360s but you can just wait it out and then hit them when theyre done spinning. You should also make sure to have enough FPS. When i was playing on my office laptop i often had like 30-40 fps and then it's not hard to get spun. Since i have a gaming pc it rarely happens to me except they time it really well

    in 360s. Comment by solidhex
  • She has the same problems as Wraith, Freddy and all the other M1/ hit&run killers, the current Boon and Dead Hard meta hurts her. Her power is quite fun but i'm not sure yet how good players will play against her, if they turn off TVs and then run around with tapes to get rid of condemned or if they just leave them and don't risk the mori.

But i guess the possible mori is like death to Pigs traps, it rarely happens but it's there to make you do something else than gens.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

No new map, weak new killer and perks, and another boon. This almost couldn't have gone worse.

the boon is underwhelming and not worth to equip, yea some really good survivors can squeeze out a bit more on a loop if they're lucky enough to loop around the Boon, but this won't happening every game. They have only 4 perk slots and there are far better options to bring.

I generally like 2 of the new killer perks. Merciless Storm is not that strong and more of an annoyance for survivors but the other 2 have good synergizes with existing meta perks and i will use both of them a lot i guess

  • I got also caught by this but it's the last thing people should complain about. She is not strong and if she gets a hit here and there it's fine. Same with Spirit, she's defo stronger than Sadako but she's not the monster she used to be. With some knowledge and of course some luck/ mindgames you can outplay her fairly often and then she's a 110% killer who eats every pallet until she has her power again.

  • it wouldnt make sense because the goal of this perk is to get used in solo queues to help directing a team. But they should buff it. The problem is, we're slowly getting into territory were perks begin to do the same with some minor differences. We already have Botany Knowledge, and buffing EC to lets say 20% more speed would make it kinda useless. The more perks we get, the harder it's going to be to invent some unique perks

  • ok Dragons Grip gave me no value because survivors tend to hold W or dissapear. I just thought like, with the new need to stop gen regression (because of 200%) it will be more useful but it's still a ######### perk. Gonna try out Eruption now.

If you get hit with DS, you know that survivor wasn’t progressing the game.

3 others are while youre still chasing that survivor who just reached a save loop. DS is still so strong especially in the current meta which basically forces killers to hard tunnel someone out as early as possible on most maps. Pressuring everyone is a myth against survivors who know what theyre doing and who play with boons. If you play against some chill ones who open chests and do totems in between, yea maybe it works, but not against the survivors i have to play against with my mains (Spirit and Wraith).

I don't get the hype for BT though. 12 seconds isn't long most of the time and even you get a BT hit they still have a downside from it and they can't make the same amount of distance as they can do after a DS stun. This perk can be basekit imo.

I don't main her but I do play her often. Might be an unpopular opinion but I'm happy with her current state. Sure against stronger teams now you'll need a stronger build than what you'd need before, but I don't think she's in a bad state at all, regardless of IW

3 or 4 survivors with IW means you just lose if they know what they're doing. Source: I main her. And yea i can track just fine but there are many areas with no grass and footstep sounds. Tracking via breathing is only possible when they're not injured (against IW). You can just use short bursts but chasing with 110 is an absolute pain in the ass against good survivors and a mis-phase often means the survivor reaches the pallet. I won't say she needs buffs but she's definitely not fun to play anymore and i actually have higher killrates with lower tier killers than her. AND i haven't seen a single good spirit since the nerf. She is so easy to loop nowadays and the 50/50s are mostly in survivors favour since you can hear her but she can't hear you often times.

Maybe i should note that i only play her with brown and yellow add ons (and sometimes green recharge) because thats the ones which are allowed in tournaments mostly.

  • @SilentShepherd said:

What is to stop this strategy?

As soon as match starts, killer looks for a good 3 gen, that means 3 generators that are close by together and easy to patrol. The killer brings perks specifically for this. Now, the killer just has to camp those 3 gens, and he doesn't care if the survivors do all the others. When there is 1 gen remaining, they MUST come to the 3 gen to do the final one, or no one is leaving.

And that is when the killer starts beating on everyone, hooking where he can, and just patrolling the 3 gen and wins.

this is not a good tactic and it won't work against good survivors. You can only chase one survivor and the other 3 can rush the last gen or split up 2/1 on 2 gens. It can be annoying for the survivors but in the end the killer will loose especially if he doesnt get a hook in the 3-gen. They will run everytime into the outside territory as soon as you chase them. If you don't have hook stages by the time there is 1 gen left, you will not get more than 1 kill.

M1 Killer like Pig or even Charlotte ( when she cant use Victor ) are unplayable at High MMR because they doesnt have anything to counter big Loops

As a m1 Killer u are Running 20 secs in a Circle ans need to wait that the Survivor finally Drop the Pallett at this Time the others Survivor are doing Gens

Also if u finally be able to down a Survivor they have Dead Hard and Running to the next Loop and boom the next circle run starts

The reason Why Killers like Nurse, Blight, Spirit or Artist are so strong is because they can Counter Loops even Trapped has some anti Loops but he still Bad because he is very slow and luck based

If u want to make Killers like Pig finally Stronger give them some anti Loops maybe Buff her useless Dash

Also PLZ finally remove, rework or Nerf Dead Hard this Perk gives Survivors Way to much u can get Windows ans Pallets u shouldnt get

Btw the new Killer Sadako will also be Trash at high Ranks because her ability doesnt give her something for Loops or chases

i agree with you that M1 killers are mostly weak thanks to Dead Hard and Boons countering hit&run. You weren't supposed to chase with killers like Trapper, Wraith etc., it was more like "hope you find them in a bad spot and if they make it to a good loop just leave".

I think most killers have a definitive playstyle which suits them but some are a bit too weak in their special field.

I have to disagree with Twins being weak, Victor IS the chase power and you should use it like that.

How do I deal with sabo swfs? Honestly, in the times of Circle of Healing, I don't know what to do, sorry. Since this perk came out, I honestly did not find out how to counter a lot of survivor's strategies, including these sabotage omnipotent squads. I need to relearn the game, or maybe I was always bad.

It seems like they can do everything without being penalized and it's a total loss-loss situation when I play Killer, no matter what I do.

They can be quiet rough (i especially hate Shadow Step) and CoH will always have its use, even if you have a 1-hit killer like Bubba (just run straight to Boon after getting unhooked and waste no ones time).

BUT you can do your best to give them less value out of it:

    • obviously stomp it whenever you're near it. Most survivors don't run totem perks, so they always go to the same totem to bless it
    • "hit & run" is dead, you have to chase till you down them. Breaking chases often plays in their hands. Doesn't mean you should chase for 3 minutes while gens pop, but i learned to chase a little longer when i hear the boon noise
    • 1-hit perks like Starstruck, Devour, MYC, Noed or chase perks like STBFL or Bamboozle are the way to go now, while Sloppy and Nurses Calling are much weaker now

Survivors have 16 perks that can be syergized as a team. Killer has 4 perks. BT and DS are infinitely stronger then those meme perks I just listed above for killers. BT and DS can carry you to an escape completely on there own.

I kinda agree but i want to add that BT isn't that strong. Waiting out 12 seconds isn't that hard and from my experience, especially when they want the BT hit and bait it, they often don't make it to a strong window or pallet. You can also grab them at windows or pallets when they have active BT, many don't know that.

I don't even use it anymore as survivor, because killers are so used to it that they just wait out the 12 seconds everytime and then hit. Or they go after the unhooker. It's effect lies mostly in it's pure existence.

Camping is about the only time I ever get any real use from the perk. And if I want to camp, it's better to just pick a killer with a camping oriented power. Someone like Huntress can just put on Oak Haft and basically get it for free without having to limit their playstyle.

Even at like 5+ stacks I barely even notice it in a regular chase. The time saved is usually marginal outside a select few killers who can quickly M2 after the M1 and use it for a down they would not have been able to get otherwise (deathslinger). On most M1 killers I save way more time overall with a regular chase perk like Enduring or Bamboozle.

i also think it's a bit overhyped, the effect is more a "quality of life" effect than a "it gives you a free down" effect (just like Brutal Strength). It's really strong in camping situations and it's imo one of the better chase perks if you have 8 stacks, but everytime i use it on a normal M1 killer it get's in my way because of the obsession taking hits or something like that.

I think all of the chase perks are bad except Bamboozle, which can have a strong impact and a free down if used right. Enduring on itself does nothing on save pallets and even on unsave pallets it's not a free hit. It just makes stuns less annoying. To be viable, you need to stack them (EndFury or Brutal+Enduring), which isn't worthy imo. That's why you rarely see them at higher level except something like Huntress (Brutal Strength seems to be common on her) or M2 killers (Stbfl) maybe.

  • From a survivor perspective (i started playing him but i'm nowhere near good enough to give advice), i hate it when Bubba runs stealth perks, like Tinkerer or that Pyramid Head perk or other stuff. It's often too late when you hear the chainsaw revving....

  • if you regularly play against players who say in their profiles they're "comp players for team x" or have multiple thousand hours, you can probably say that you have a fairly high MMR value.

But it really depends on the time of day for me. Sometimes in the evening especially i get very random players, but at daytime it's usually always a challenge.

Are u console or PC? If console I'm not surprised cuz they are worse than PC players

ive played against very good console players with great movement who could actually juke me (which rarely happened to me after i hitted the 2k hours mark).

Back then crossplay-off was some sort of "comp mode" were all the good teams and killers practiced, but right now i don't see much difference and i often play against the same players multiple times in a session, which can be fun but also boring. The good side is that you dodge the Epic Launcher cheaters.

Like i already said, i don't blame them and i do it myself, but the game would be in a much healthier spot if this wouldn't exist and killers could still win with actual skillful plays instead of resorting to these boring playstyles because chasing everyone will give you 8 hooks but 0 kills.

Well, the game is supposed to be balanced around 2k/2e, in your scenario 10hooks and 2 kills.

That is already not doable consistently without having to play this game for hundreds of hours on a single killer.

And just judging from the efficiency of the devs in the past to change and balance things on both sides simultaneously, if they were to deny/delete/whatever the killers options to play with most efficiency aka camping/tunneling one survivor out asap, it would take them months to years to give killer something in return so that they at least have a chance. And most worrying, it would probably both come in form of more bandaid perks, the only solution the devs know without making stuff completely useless, see Mori's/keys.

well, even if you're very experienced with some killers it's not doable because the MMR will match you with survivor squads with similar experience and skill plus meta perks (4x DH is not uncommon on my 2 mains) and sometimes OP items.

I agree with the rest, in practice i don't think the changes will ever happen because they would be way too big and extensive. You would have to change a massive amount of perks in advance. We will probably just get another "here, if you do this to every survivor you get a reward!"-perk for killers which will not get used much after the first 2 weeks. I mean, No Way Out isn't a bad perk but it only makes sense with NOED to me and you're better off with the new regression perks like Deadlock (which btw greatly synergizes with camping)

I literally said most people don't want to "camp" or "tunnel" I also said that balance changes to maps and survivor perks need changed. Before they would punish killers for something survivors simply don't like.

As far as how those things don't really exist. They don't exist. Because it comes from a rediculous set of imaginary rules. "Don't you dare come back to hook while were healing under it !" "How dare you patrol a certain area of a map that's adventagiois to you !" "How dare you chase and hook me again !! Go chase someone else !!!"

What survivors like to call camping. Is defending an area that you're perfectly entitled. If you think it will benefit you. What survivors call tunneling is just taking the smartest chase if I come back to hook and see one injured person and one healthy person. Nowhere does it say in the TOS "must chase other survivor !" The ironic part about this one is...Survivors universally say holding m1 on gens is boring. They play for the chases...But they DON'T want chased and the fun part of the game ?

What they really mean to say is "My fun is winning and escaping. So I can emasculate you. Rather its I escape and say LULZ GGEZ BABY KILLER" Or you get tunneled and die it becomes "OMG YOU TUNNELING POS GET BETTER. HOW DARE YOU CHASE ME !!!"

"Camping" and "tunneling" are just words, you could also call them "hugging" or "filtering" or whatever and hope everyone adapts those words, they describe a specific tactic and scenarios. It's not just survivors who call those things like that, people like Otz who has a healthy view on the game (but plays a lot more killer) also calls it like that.

What you mean is people judging the killer unfairly because he does it. I could also say, if i want to frame the whole thing from a "survivor main POV", that "patroulling an advantageous area" is a whitewashed paraphrase for simply just camping. If you're proxy camping and come immediately back to hook to go after the just unhooked survivor, this is by most people's definition strictly TUNNELING. It is what it is. No one can stop you doing it, but it IS tunneling. Yes you are entitled to camping and tunneling, but this doesn't change the fact that it exists.

No dude, this is absolutely NOT ironic. Have you ever played survivor and got actually hard-tunneled? There is no chase in most cases. 12 seconds BT are gone fast (if you even got it) and if you don't bring those ominous second chance perks like DS you're just dead. There is no game, there is no fun. Of course it depends on the killer and other variables like the map and where you got hooked, but you get the idea, a good killer who knows what he's doing will just end you fast in those situations, trust me i scrimmed against comp killers a lot lately. I played mostly killer the last 3 weeks but i can understand everyone who says this isn't fun to play against and this isn't why they're playing this game. Survivors usually like to win, as killers do. It's the same when killer mains say something like "i play for the chases, it's the fun part" but then 75% of killers i saw lately camp and tunnel ("playing efficient") because it is the easiest way to win. Like i already said, i don't blame them and i do it myself, but the game would be in a much healthier spot if this wouldn't exist and killers could still win with actual skillful plays instead of resorting to these boring playstyles because chasing everyone will give you 8 hooks but 0 kills.

As a killer main it is not a problem. it's easily baited out and half the time kills the survivor instead of helping them. it's only OP in niche scenarios when they use it to make it to a pallet or window they otherwise wouldn't have gotten

These aren't niche scenarios, a good survivor will constantly do that and expand the chase. A good surv never just dead hards out in the open into nowhere. There is a reason you see it on 90% of all survivors at high mmr.
