5 games and haven't won one... Those are rookie numbers I've gone 17 games and not escaped one haha
I hear people on Twitter and on these forms say they almost never win playing solo q. So why even put yourself through the torture when u can swf??

Because most of the people who play this game are kids with underdeveloped brains who don’t understand (or don’t care) about the impact their actions have on other people.
I can understand t bagging if the killer intentionally played in a super unfun way like hard facecamping or hard tunneling someone. But if the survivor is t bagging just to celebrate a win and rub in the killer’s face, they’re just being an immature a-hole
Exactly
Most of the players are kids. I can go down my whole friend list and only handful of them are over 17. Most of them being 13-15.

Most expose/ instant down effects are fine and only really a problem when camping.
Camping with huntress irl, pinky finger clown, bubba, infinite tier 3 Myers, etc. Such a cheesy cringe tactic.

Don't forget that his Reeling Speed addons don't even work at all =D
they've been broken after the changes and bhvr hasn't even bothered to fix them nor acouple other addons..
Bhvr still likes huntress more than slinger tbh..
so many of his add ons are trash. Right up there with nessmiss and pyramid head

Deathslinger is in a pretty good spot at the moment, middle of the road balance. Despite this, I would love to seem some QoL changes to make him more fun to play and play against. I have came up with a few suggestions, not all changes are intended to go through if BHVR magically decided to read this post. All changes will be listed with a problem, and a proposed solution.
Changes:
• Problem: Deathslinger having a 32m terror radius while still being 4.4 m/s. While we shouldn't make him 4.6 m/s to keep him in line with other ranged killers, he needs some compensation.
Solution: Make his terror radius 24m again, but also add a slight lullaby to 48m (or 32m). This would make him still able to get the drop on survivors and use M&A again, but not a better stealth killer than wraith like before his nerf a while ago. The lullaby would be a slight tune similar to Trickster (Ex: piano keys, chain rattling, banjo, etc.) but not as loud as Huntress
•Problem: Deathslinger quite similar to Trickster, and other lower tier killers has little to no map pressure, He is a 1v1 killer by design and suffers because of it. We shouldn't make him OP with teleportation or something, just a change to give him some pressure.
Solution: Change the mend upon successful spears to 'lodged spears'. The spears would be a debuff on survivors who get shot by Deathslinger, either successful hit or broken chain. The spear prevents survivors from healing to full, and extra bleeding, but can be ignored entirely. (Could also hinder a slight percentage?) The spear could be removed after a long animation, and would be automatically removed upon being hooked. The 'lodged spears' would add some pressure to just shooting survivors and not pursuing a chase with them.
•Problem: No counter play in chase. Despite having a slower ADS time, it's still very easy to zone a survivor with your gun. This makes Deathslinger still slow to play but also to play against.
Solution: Make Deathslinger's ADS time slightly faster to make him feel better to play. Also give a very obvious audio cue (similar to Huntress) when he ADS's. This would make him more interactive but also more fun to play.
•Problem: The Deathslinger is bald.
Solution: Give us a skin with Caleb (Deathslinger) having a full head of hair. Very easy because BHVR loves to make skins to make money.
Please give any more suggestions and tweaks in the comments! I almost suggested an addon pass/ specific addon tweaks but that would be a whole entire other post. Thanks for reading!
Terror radius: you pretty much have to run monitor on him in my opinion other wise they can shift w him to hell.
map pressure: 110 killer and u can't make up for it in aura reading like the huntress to snipe. Your range only got 18 meters so u even Down quickly or lose.
zoning survivor: While a survivor is injury he pretty good but when they not his zoning do very little in my opinion. It better taking a hit and fleeing the area half the time than getting zone into a m1 and a follow up shot. Hit or miss a smarter survivor will just risk the spear shot and will just leave while u recover from your attack and than the time wasted reloading. The poor man huntress in every way nearly.
The best thing about slinger is his ability to tunnel off hook
-
Currently maining him but I think slinger is overrated. Most content creators put him in the high b tier but i just don't see it myself. Got tons of counterplay and engaging interactions (super fun in my opinion to verse but frustrating to play as at times)
My main problem with playing slinger is you can hit a shot and get nothing from it.
●Survivor pre drop a pallet u hit them! and u can't pull them around most of the loops before the chain breaks. (without the prison chain add on)
● U narrowly hit a survivor from a far position vaulting a window and the chain start breaking fast.
● U reeling a survivor in and they get stuck on a few Tires, a single tree, small rock, and sometimes rarely thin air.
●Lastly, my favorite one! You hit a survivor and another survivor stands in front of the chain. Break before you hit either.
Making the chain stronger would kill the survivors counter play but hitting a shot on an injured survivor to get nothing feels bad.

I'd disagree. I enjoy my time in soloQ.
paid actor^^
-
well that your first problem u playing solo q. Swf it up
-
Solo q will always be unpleasant due to bad teammates and killer tactics that need coordination to stop consistently. I agree it no fixing it. Just swf
-
Knight need realm and arms if u wanna even remotely play the guards in patrolling style.
Deathslinger pretty much ######### without prison chain as dropping a pallet negate him from getting u around most loops for the finishing blow.

T-bagging Survivors are people who usually lose all the time. They are frustrated because they are always losing, so when they win once in a while, they explode with joy.
In short, the Survivors who can't help but T-bagging are the ones who prove that they are lousy players.
Good players are so used to winning that they would rather end the game quickly and queue for the next match than do that.
100% lie. Swf's who win all the time love t bagging the most. Survivors will t bag to piss u off but the majority t bag when the killer player do something they don't like (camping, slugging, tunneling, playing nurse lol, etc).

just looking at the d tier killers most of them do need regression.
Most Billy players don't run gen regression. To be fair he's pretty bad and becoming even more terrible next update
Freddy can hop gen to gen which is the only slightly decent thing about him. without gen regression he's terrible.
trickster definitely need gen regression as he's way to slow to pressure areas.
The pig terrible but she don't actually need gen regression at all. (The traps give her all the slowdown she need)
Trapper better off going for basement or end game than regression.
Sadako definitely need regression.

U name damn near half of the maps lol.

u can revert the healing just give killers basekit corrupt and dead lock already.
-
● playing Billy and spawning in on Larry's
● Myers watching teammates on gens and they choice to t bag instead of taking cover.
● seeing 4 party streamers while i playing trapper
● seeing Myers PEROID in solo q cause u just know he probably running the automatic win button know as tombstone peice.

Blight is completely fine, why not simply buff most killers to be as strong as him.
every killer shouldn't be s tier that would be a problem. I agree tho blight is fine and fun to go against. They shot poor Billy in the head and kick him off the cliff.

Do people ever really quit this game

Just played a match with a wraith. I never saw him the entire match because he committed to chasing only two survivors who looped him the entire match. We popped exit gate and at that moment someone went down and he finally got his first hook.
Long story short, my teammates screwed me so I got left behind to die on first hook. The entire time I’m dying the wraith stands there and just hits me over and over in hook.
If you’re a killer who does this? Why? You know you’ve got that kill and there’s nothing I can do. Why sit there and be a toxic douchebag by hitting me over and over until I die? I’ve even had killers who 4K do this. If I’m the last on hook dying they stand there through the entire sacrifice process and just swing and hit over and over.
what’s your deal? Did the game make you that angry? Why be a sore winner?
This game is full of survivors and killers bming so don't let it get to you. Just a normal dbd day
-
TS peice and infinite tier 3 really need to go. instead they playing around with irrelevant prymid head buffs and unnecessary billy nerfs
-
....sigh they didn't even consider nerfing it this update.
-
@Pulsar said:
Very significant nerf, imo.
It has a capped usage, requires a Safe Unhook and will be removed upon any activation.
Considering how often I see failed DH's and server rollback DH's, this feels like a very strong nerf.
Thoughts?
I'm still gonna be pressing E but most people will drop it entirely probably

-"The main strength of DH was its versatility, adding a Deliverance's requirement will definitely hurt it a lot."
That's entirely the point in how they are nerfing it. The devs basically had a choice and could have said - ok DH is once per game. That was too much apparently so they made it have the deliverance requirement.
What is this going to do to the perk? It means if you want to use DH you have no exhaustion in the first chase which will make you massively weaker. It means you might never get a chance to be the unhooker so you never get to "earn" your DH. If you are the first one hooked and you get tunneled then you will never get your DH.
How will this affect the game? No more will killers hesitate to swing. It means no more long chases for the first chase. It means a lot less wasted time in chase overall. It means more pallets used sooner - making everyone slightly weaker at looping.
"It means if you want to use DH you have no exhaustion in the first chase which will make you massively weaker"
i would be absolutely shock if someone run DH without another exhaustion perk. You can still have a strong first chase with another exhaustion perk and break out DH when u obtain it later o.
-
good patch changes beside hillbilly
-
hopefully behavior destroy camping and gen rushing next. I'm liking the direction
-
The word get toss out there to much. I kinda like the so call bully squad teams myself...most of them matches are way more intense and memorable.
playing very aggressive in swf always seem to piss killers off tho. I think some Killers just don't like the fact that survivors can be in complete control. (which they shouldn't be by the way)
-
survivors wanted three gens to be less powerful and the dev gave them what they wanna. Nerf all gen regression
Killers been asking for medkits to be look at and DH to be nerf. The devs pretty much did that.
I think the devs did a pretty good job this patch beside two things. nerfing billy and altruism healing. Hopefully the ptb take care of that
-
Looking for all the dulls to cleanse on the map will likely get u kill way more often than a noed proc.
-
i guarantee people will still use DH at high rate. They didn't kill it at all
-
I'm still gonna be pressing E. Just gotta have two exhaustion perks now. You might only get 1 to 2 unhooks a game so probably running it with lithe.
-
At some point u wanna actually win and go on streak to validate your skills but in solo q it impossible. It doesn't matter how well u can run the killer yourself as u always got someone who go down instantly on the team. Your match with people that can easily be tunnel often and people who have no idea what to do in certain situations. Solo q will forever be cannon fodder for little Jimmy 50 blight streak. 3 to 4 man SWF is the only way to constantly win with your skill. People Delude themselves into thinking winning dosen't matter as long as i had fun. They say they wanna just "have fun"......but soon they start losing to much their attitude change. Winning is fun for a lot of people and solo q almost never win. So why even play it? Look through these forums and Twitter everytime they bring up solo q win rate. The majority people say they win 2 out of 10 of their matches.

At the very least they should do a hot fix to Reassurance, as this should help with one part of the killers Duo Terrible, 8e camping and tunneling.
"Reassurance now has 3 tokens and can be used by one survivor one after the other. Reassurance can now be activated from 12m away. The killer gets a notification that Reassurance is in play, hopefully peeling them away from the hook."
good idea but behavior probably won't touch it sadly
-
Botany and desperate measures will become more use! survivors will adapt. Unfortunately camping and tunneling will probably be the strongest it ever been but on the flip side gen rushing will be way more difficult to stop.
Just gonna be more killer raging on gens flying and more survivor DCing cause the killer tunneling or camping them to second stage
-
one side is push to win on average more than the other and it asymmetric so no
-
we need that 157 page knight guide next.

What most players don't get is that DH was the perk that encouraged tunneling.
As a killer main i can say you right away, i hit on purpose the guy who gets unhooked as fast as possible so i can force endurance on him so he is not able to use DH then i tunnel him out before he mends to have DH up again.
DH was unhealty to the game, FINALLY a proper goodbye ( even now some people will run that 3rd health state E button ) but at least won't be early or late game perk anymore
Tip: Survivors get used to other strong perks that some of you are running anyway, Sprint Burst or Lithe
RIP Dead Hard i hope i won't see you 99% of the matches after update goes live.
These mental gymnastics are crazy. if u trying to tunnel and the person don't have dh you're just wait 10 seconds. DH don't make u tunnel more at all but I'm glad it finally nerf. All the infinite healing and regression has been hit hard too. great patch
-
honestly good patch. I love DH but it was a bit to strong. Survivors can switch to sprint burst and be just as strong low tier killers on other hand are pretty much ######### now with all the regression gone. Should be interesting tho seeing the new meta in action
-
Depending on the vibes. If they nodding their head right when u get to a tile than they usually wanna loop instead of shift w. I like them type of players and will most likely let everyone go if they just don't out right win. If the survivors are bming i might play a bit more aggressive. I win most of my games like every killer main seem to (lol) so i can afford to play nicer when playing the role. As survivor I don't bm. barely win 40% of my survivor games so i don't exactly have the luxury of gifting free kills. Overall i kinda care about my opponent experience but only if they playing in a way i deem fair.
-
Behavior bad! got it

I just think it's harder to pull off depending on the killer you are facing and that the reward can be gained by other exhaustion perks.
If i was judging it just by itself, it would be higher. But for me, in the context of other exhaustion perks, i think it would go to C tier because of better alternatives, making it obsolete imo.
Basically, i wanted to put him at lower tier because of the other exhaustion perks.
It only hard to pull off if u trying not to get hit. You can use it in a cheesy way tho to make it easy. Camp at the end of the pallet so the killer must swing through to hit u which will position them in the center of said pallet. Slam it and disappear with parental guidance kinda like overcome and lucky break. I think it should be B tier
-
Best thread ever
-
even using Billy with the pig house gloves add on, brutal strength and enduring i still can't get them most of time. Hubris expose window is to short. The perk very bad! The over amount hype it receive on release really sucker me into using it.

@ReikoMori said:
Does no one get that Tombstone and tuft of hair makes it take basically an entire game to get to tier 3?
How can it be too strong when you legit have to basically almost throw the game for it to offer any value.
"does no one get that tombstone and tuft of hair make it basically an entire game to get to tier 3?"
Correct! but most TS Myers are not running the hair.
The good myers will use J Myers Memorial for increase stalking and only the TS peice (the purple). Which will allow u to kill someone very quickly and don't really take much time to get off. Anybody who think different doesn't play Myers enough or simply not playing the right combination of addons. Corrupt and lethal pursuer almost guarantee that u will get a good amount of stalk before any gens even pop. Judith's TS is fine because it take way more stalking and u get a speed decrease in tier 3 but TS peice is way to strong. It no downside to it at all....u just get a super early kill and the survivors must play a 3 v 1 for the rest of the match.
-
That way to many nerfs without buffing his basekit. The only thing i agree with here is TS being to strong.
In my opinion he's the fourth strongest killer when running TS. Only below blight, spirit and nurse. The add on definitely broken but Myers is so weak without it that nobody really cares.
-
@King_Viper said:
new killer is op... had a four man team trying to do the last 2 gens..no way to strategize playing solo, for almost 30 minutes it was back and forth and couldnt get a single gen more than half way up. its quicker to dc against this killer and wait out the penalty and go the next match.
Her 3gen hold getting nerf very soon in exchange for better chase capabilities.
-
it would be bad. Survivor wanna loop the killer to have a good experience. Killer need to end chases fast to win tho. U would be better off removing a hook state from survivors than making every killer trickster level annoying in chase. 8 hooks instead 12 but camping outside end game and tunneling will need to be nerf severely

Just got done playing a match against a Deathslinger. At first he slugged for the 4k which is pretty typical nowdays and he patrolled near the body . Then when he saw i wasn't coming he hooked the guy and i tried to find the hatch. He found it first and instead of closing it to start the EGC he stood in it and waited for me to come to it. I then stood by the exit gate as many survivors usually do when this happens. This went on for at least 25 minutes essentially holding me hostage in a game he already WON just because he wanted extra points. I got tired and came to him and then he closed hatch and procedeed to slug me to death. I already did an ingame report and opened a support ticket. Does BHVR usually do anything in cases like this or do they just ignore it? No killer deserves a free kill and no survivor deserves a free escape but this is well beyond the point of normal gameplay. He could easily close hatch and come straight to the exit gate to catch me since there was only one exit gate which i could feasibly be in.
It just a standoff. I don't think u can say it was being held hostage. He didn't wanna risk the excape and u knew hatch wasn't possible to get so u stay at the gates. yall both did the best possible move u could
-
@Halloulle said:
Is another example of a perfectly fine perk being very broken on a specific killer.
Tho, I wonder, wouldn't it be absolutely sufficient to give the perk a ~20sec cooldown? This would stop her (and other super high mobility killers) from effectively having permanent aura reading (with Lethal) while having nearly no impact on killers who have to move normally from one gen to another. Simply because of how long it takes to get from one gen to another.
The perk strong on nearly anyone Not just high Mobility killers. It kinda crush stealth and give u a ton free hits as survivors try to hide regularly. It make defending a 3 gen more easier as well. Just like window of opportunity it gives consist good information the whole match with no cool down and I'm fine with it.
