It’s not 60 seconds of immortality. I’m not sure why people keeping saying this. If you don’t understand why that sounds silly, you need to watch someone better than you play killer.
survivors goal is to survive, not just die to killers as easily as possible. Anytime I’ve been in a game with no obsession, people are just tunneled into the ground.
Nobody is asking for it to not be anti tunnel or removed. We want it turned off if you start to progress your goal (gens) or are clearly not being chased and heal yourself (others can heal you)
-
Because instead of rewarding a killer for leaving, they listened to survivor cries and are punishing you instead.

It does have limitations.
It can't be used unless you're hooked. It has a 60 second timer. It's a 1 time use perk.
That isn't a limitation. That is just the activation like noed needing the gens done.
it may be a one time use perk, but that ONE use is so strong that it can change the entire outcome of the game. That ONE use is so strong that is forces killers to change how they play and what they do.
What killer perk does this to survivors that they can't simply remove?
Anti momentum is bad when that is all the killer has going for them. For a killer to even get momentum, the survivors had to do something really really stupid.
I use ds
There have been so many occasions where the killer found me on a gen or changed to me during a chase because the survivor ran to me, and i just ds off his shoulder and he goes from 3 gens left to 1 gen or none.
-
@BigBrainMegMain said:
lol because 70% of killers are bad.
How hard is it to play more aware? If there's an obsession, you have to change your play style.
It doesn't need a nerf,
- No one forces you to go for the unhooked survivor.
- No one forces you to open that locker.
- No one forces you to pick up the unhooked survivor.
Believe it or not, there are 4 survivors on the trial, and those big glowy Red generators in the distance are their objective.
Go patrol.
It does need a nerf, it needs limitations so survivors can't do what they want if they want to be protected.

Until you encounter a halfway decent killer with a brain.
You do know killers are faster than survivors right?
And that they can see where the gens (survivor objextives) are right?
You do realize in my comparison, that chess has physical limitations, such as which moves can and cant be made, RIGHT?
It being "a game" doesnt change how you improve. Practice and experience.
But yeah. Keep thinking that hon.
Having a brain doesn't change anything when there are safe points on each tile that let you see what the killer is doing.
Just watch otz or tru3 when they play survivor. so disinterested and relaxed because they know the killer can't do anything. The best part is when they start going "you can't get me, why are you still chasing me?"
What if nobody is a weak link?
-
@ClickyClicky said:
The mechanics of the game allow people to be toxic, and then they wonder why their community is full of salty survivors that rage quit. Tru3 was right when he says these devs often fix the effect but not the cause. That was said in context to gen speeds but its true for disconnects too. They slap on a penalty but dont address reasons why people quit.
Survivors should have a bleed out option. Nobody wants to wait an extra few minutes so some toxic troll can have his fun.
You say this like survivors dont wait at the gate until the very end of the egc?
What planet do you live on?

Theres plenty you can do. Including, as you seem to have missed my point completely, LEARN.
If you don't give up against every tough game (let's say 4 man swf, good ones. Which are less than 5/10% of all games anyway) you start to learn where you can improve, what you can do differently or more efficiently, what to avoid doing and not fall for. Because if you only ever play bad teams, you can use low level mediocre tactics to your hearts content and win.
You learn NOTHING by beating people worse than you, and you learn a TON by going against tougher opponents. That's how experience works.
If I play a kid who's NEVER played chess before, ofc I'll win. Every time. But if I play a grandmaster, I'll likely lose. However along the way I'll see what moves are good, bad, or just a wasteof time, as well as learning from my opponent.
No, you cant win every game, boo hoo. But you can stop giving up at a challenge and LEARN from it.
And this is all ignoring the fact that most swf (even the good ones) are super altruistic, and are humans, therefore make mistakes. You CAN win against them (not every game, otherwise why even play? Its handed to you if you know you cant lose), just not with tactics used against 4 solos. 🤷♀️
You do know you are talking about a game with physical and forced limitations right?
a killer can only walk so fast and do one thing at a time. Once you learn how to abuse this and understand pathing on every tile then you just... win.
-
Break the game even more and nerf Cannibals addons so they don't synergize with each other and make them bad.

And most of those refuse to see a (good or bad) SWF as a challenge to learn from, and instead complain about "unwinnable" games and afk, rage quit, or make forum posts.
I get it. A good SWF is much better than 4 potatoes. But why play if you can only win against ######### players? Why not try to get better.
Because there is nothing you can do against GOOD survivors in a swf. If you chase someone off a gen at 99% and kick it, that gen would regress and buy you some time. in a swf game Jeff calls Bruce over to finish it and then go back to his gen at 2%
A swf game always has 2 people repairing at all times. While solo waste time with multiple people going for saves or to pick the slug up.
There is zero uncertainty about where your traps are. everyone knows where your totem is. Everyone has a rough idea of where you are at all times.
I honestly don't know how a swf ever loses against normal killers like myers or pig, beyond them just being bad at the game.

BHVR have said that they want to bring solo players up to SWF's level instead of nerfing SWF, but despite all of their buffs, and attempts to do so, there is literally only 1 thing that will do it: voice communication. If BHVR were serious about bringing solo up to the standard set by SWF, they would have incorporated Voice communication between survivors long ago. TBH, at this point I really wish they would and just get it over with. Implementing Voice comms in the game by default would actually turn out to be a huge benefit.
Not only would it allow players to be more competitive, It would also show BHVR how they should buff killers in order for them to be strong enough effectively compete as well. On top of this, SWF in a lobby wouldn't matter as much, and thus there would be no reason for killers to dodge SWF lobbies vs solo lobbies. Sure, it would also allow players to verbally abuse each other, but we also have a reporting system, and just about anyone can record their games these days, so with a few tweaks to the report system, It's not like it would go unpunished.
Honestly, I've said it for years, If BHVR want to bring solo up to SWF's level, they just need to add Voice communication. Instead they are tip toeing around this fact to come up with creative ways to buff solo players, but then have to compensate by buffing killers, and compensate again and again etc... in other words they are taking the hardest path to achieve the same goal, when the simplest answer has been in their face the entire time but they're inexplicably and purposely avoiding it.
My only theory as to why they are taking this approach is because they Know how much more powerful a team of survivors with voice communication is, and they don't want to have to massively buff every killer to compensate for it. The problem with that logic however, is that the killers are still at a disadvantage against teams with voice comms regardless, and they know it, so when they know they are up against an SWF team: they dodge the lobby.
TL;DR
BHVR, Please Just add voice communication to the game, collect data, and buff killers as necessary to compensate for the survivors advantage. That's the actual solution to close the gap between solo and SWF.
They haven't done any buffs, that's the problem.
Literally NOTHING.

So delete her from the game, got it.
If you do the sound thing dead hard will screw her over like it screws the nurse over. Every survivor with dh will become a 3 hit down.
-
The proper way is to not change it. you bought ash for the skin, not the perks.
-
yep.
The game takes ping into consideration so if you live near casual survivors, you will think killer is easy. some of us live in areas that produce mostly 4 man death squads that are "rare" for others.
-
Every time they introduce a killer that does this, they nerf it into the ground and forget they ever made it.
This will never happen while the current state of survivor prints them money. There is a reason there are more surv skins in the shop.
-
Yeah! we need to make her body flash like a rainbow with brightly coloured foot prints detailing where she is during her phase. Also make her husk visible to all survivors map wide with a directional whoosh that is exceptionally easy to pinpoint.
Then just delete her from the game but refuse to give refunds like you did to nurse.

Bots have actually been incredibly effective in the mobile game. So much so that it's hard to tell that you're playing against an actual bot until the game is over. But as they say, the proof is in the pudding.
That says more about the game then anything ever could, and not in a good way.
-
I just gave dbd console a go on xbox. it is disgusting for the killer. The lighting is completely different to pc, way darker with terrible contrast.
Claudette is actually invisible on indoor maps and the killer is heavily restricted due to the controller. I wouldn't be surprised if the "good" killers are using a xim to play this with kb and mouse.
Meanwhile survivors are 100% comparable to pc in movement and map lighting It is literally different depending on what side you play.

That's very hypocritical
Look at it this way, if killers dc enough on just that map then the devs might change it. Worked for survivors right?

Forums are usually dominated by the party that has something to legitimately complain about.
It is the same with product reviews. How many times have you left a review on a site when the product (Fridge, dish washer, etc) works fine?
-
Let survivors switch skins, but their perks and loadout are locked in.
-
Bring it on, if survivors get equal bp to killer with minimal effort, i will never need to touch killer again!

in terms of difficulty....
Solo survivor -> Killer -> swf
People may disagree with me putting survivor as the hardest but with how watered down ranks are now in solo survivor you’re expected to carry an entire team and babysit new players. Trying to do gens while the rank 20 keeps missing skillchecks and setting back your progress. Having your entire team go down in the shack and then you have to rescue them all from the basement. Getting healed and having them miss the skillcheck and bring the killer over. Basically everytime they screw up it’s up to you to bail them out. Give me killer anyday.
You can still get an easy pip as solo survivor.
-
She is until she gets nerfed.
Survivors are crying LOUDLY so it shouldn't be to long.

Not really. I run mostly M1 killers like Trapper. I spread the damage and pressure the gens. I pick an area of the map and that is my zone. I get 8+ hooks in every match. They knock out the first few gens pretty quick, but then it slows down. Keeping them off the gens, picking my spots to chase, not going into dead zones with no gens during a chase, etc. Camping and tunneling are for weak-minded players. They fear losing, they fear growing and learning tactics. It's fine, if that is how you want to play, so be it, but don't cry about gens popping too fast because of it. The literal counter to camping and tunneling that is always recommended by killers on this forum is to "do the gens and leave." Seriously.....
Gen rush is a joke. Are coordinated teams insanely fast and make you have to make very few mistakes, yup! That is what separates the good killers/survivors from the mediocre. I consider myself to be mediocre. When I get owned in a match, I don't blame the game, I know I made lots of mistakes.
Any decent swf will be setting off your traps as fast as you can place them. i guess the survivors in your area are quite casual? Especially if 3 genning works for you.
-
Only read the title, my response is if we did, they would be nerfed within a month.

They tried to fix it with the Silent Hill chapter, if you're talking about the see-who-the-killer-is thing. But people found another way to do it in a few days. I've seen posts talking about some sort of log file encryption being tried on the recent PTB and if that's true that should take care of the problem for good.
Stretched res can only be fixed by changing the way the game treats resolution from the ground up. DBD is a borderless windowed mode game that doesn't even have resolution options, it just matches a player's desktop resolution to fill the entire screen and the only in-game way to mess with it is resolution scaling as opposed to traditional resolution options.
The only real way to fix it is to enforce exclusive fullscreen mode with "approved" resolution options maintaining a monitor's aspect ratio.
Then do it?
If you have a playerbase that is this dedicated to cheating and exploiting the game, then measures like this need to be put in place.
-
Survivor is less stressful.
Get bad teammates? Meh.. ######### on hook and move on to the next game.
Make a mistake while looping? Meh it was my fault that i can't use busted mechanics properly.
Killer on the other hand is stuck in the game till the end.
Get an unfair map spawn? To bad, suck it up.
Go against unbalanced mechanics and expoits that are being ignored for some reason? To bad, suck it up.
-
Love how survivor exploits are being ignored.
If this had a benefit to killers it would have been fixed in a week.
Stretched res literally makes the game unplayable but they are not changing how the game interacts with it are they?
-
It is designed this way to make you feel above average and entice you to buy cosmetics. This game is using plenty of shady tactics to get more $$$ from you all the time.
-
A killer will not pip in a 50/50 game while survivors most probably will all pip even if they all die.
This won't be fixed either because it makes survivors feel above average and will be more willing to spend cash on cosmetics.
-
I assume it is still possible since they are staring at the ground while looping.
-
I doubt they will be back. survivors went "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" and bhvr went "Please buy cosmetics!" and now the dc ban is gone.
I guess killers need to start abusing it to make survivors complain and bring it back?
-
I have done this and the survivors just run directly to me at the start of the match. I guess they were using* other 3rd party programs as well as discord?

Serious question:
Why are people in this thread making fun of Survivors complaining about Killer Meta Perks while running Meta Perks themselves, while the Thread was opened by a person running Meta Perks, complaining about Survivor Meta Perks?
My best bet would be because the strength and impact of said meta perks have vastly disproportionate impacts on the game.

First of, let me correct you here.
I find Freddy and Spirit boring to go against, not because I'm "entitled", but because it's my personal OPINION. There's certain killers I like to go up against and killers I don't like going up against. It's not about "adjusting one's gameplay" it's about how I feel against those killers. There will be survivors who can't be bothered to go up against certain killers but subtly generalising that all survivors are entitled by having an opinion isn't really the way to word it.
Truth is, I'm tired of seeing people like this call survivor's entitled for finding a certain killer boring, it doesn't mean we're entitled, it means we are allowed to have opinions.
So by making these killers easy to beat with 257,000 counters to their power, they suddenly become "fun" to play against?
-
According to the lead balance developer. "Clown is over powered, we just havn't discovered his full potential yet" You are asking a dev that thinks that about clown, to make good and fun balance decisions?
If they spend money on it, they will force it into the game no matter what.
-
We know, but it's a survivor thing so the dev's don't care.
As long as survivor mains shell out cash for cosmetics nothing will change.
-
If a survivor just lets me grab them and wastes the ds i just move onto another survivor. It usually wastes less time finding someone else than catching up and then being looped.

If you’ve hooked 2 people within 60 seconds then you’re doing great and DS is the least of your problems. I don’t see what the issue is.
Because it destroys the flow of the game and removes all momentum you have gained.
MOM had the same issue. You could be snowballing with one survivor constantly hooked, but when you are about to down one that you found out of position MOM activated allowing them to get to a safe area and waste your time.
BOOM momentum gone and the survivors have had time to spread out and work on gens.

Nothing stopping 4 solo players from doing this as well.. spread out and hit gens. I solo all the time, and yeah, i stay on gens. I'd say a team of 4 solos that know what they are doing are going to be quite difficult. I don't need to be mic'd up to know that a survivor is being chased esp if they've been hit and i can see the icon on screen. I don't even go in for altruistic pulls right away, esp if i see another heading that way. I've seen lots of great solos.. biggest advantage killer has against all solo team is if all 3 go for a hooked teammate. (3 off gen and 3 potential victims if the killer is a camper) I lose more when I play with my friends cause we chat more than focus.. when I solo, it's all on me to do my job to help the group I don't personally know.
but that's just it. A killer can hit someone and break off with say.. Ghost face, and you would have no clue as a solo that has just happened unless you give up a perk slot for an information perk that a swf does not need to do, making themselves stronger.
You hit the nail on the head with the hook situation. Solo survivors do not know if someone is or is not going in for the save and thus WASTE TIME that swf does not by having multiple people move in for the save.
Swf coordinate perks and items to do things that rarely happen in solo.
Totems are weakened.
Traps are weakened.
stealth is weakened.
It all adds up.

Clown, Bubba, Doctor, and Freddy have gotten buffs lately, and the latter three got a full rework with it. Meanwhile Spirit, Nurse, and Billy have gotten nerfs. Nurse and Spirit are still widely considered to be two of best killers in the game. It's not clear where Billy's going to end up, but given they're going to buff him a lot over the PTB I still think he's going to end up being decent.
Nurse is the best killer that nobody plays and i doubt spirit will remain the way she is when more people start to play her and we see even more threads demanding a nerf to her.
Give demogorgon a 0.01% buff to shred speed and you would add that to the list of "buffed" killers.
I will agree with Freddy but he isn't that hard to beat either.

SWF is fine.
Don’t believe the hype. There are absolutely excellent solo survivors out there too.
Yes, sure there are extremely well coordinated SWF and they’re going to present a big challenge, but they’re not unbeatable.
Just keep a cool head and try to anticipate what any remaining survivors are doing/not doing. Play the long game and just wear down their resources and their patience.
You’ll win some.
You’ll lose some.
and then they all just spread out and hold m1 on gens. Good luck wearing out their defenses before they finish their task. Especially on large maps.
-
You nerf swf by boosting solo as much as possible and then buffing killers to compensate. The were going to do this but have clearly reneged on this promise as evident from the severe lack of action and constant killer nerfs....
-
Leave it as a dead perk. it was/still is a terrible design that should never have passed the idea stage. Survivors do not need any more free escapes that can be abused 10 fold with the 13 free perks given to you with swf + discord.
