Don't keep chasing him. You should have realised this after 30 seconds. Just find someone else, and kill the guy you were chasing later when he's more vulnerable. Or, do something different than just following him blindly. If it is not possible to catch a single survivor, then there is sth wrong with the game
I mean, if with blood lust 3 you couldn’t catch him, you were doing something wrong. Also, regarding not being able to catch a guy; you are meant to and strong enough to catch someone of equal skill.
That’s why people hate campers, because you can’t “not get caught” as that’s not how the game works, you WILL get caught if the killer wants your caught and is good enough. That’s why they get chances that are supposed to actually come into effect. But camping stops this. Anyway, if they are BETTER than you, and read you, or make a good juke, then that’s just them being better than you. If you like you said, got ######### RNG, and he expensed basically every pallet on the map, yes THAT IS A PROBLEM
This is how you think until you realise there are holes in every wall for survivors to see what the killer is doing. there is no or very little room for actual mind games.
you got a big fat light that shines through walls this forces you to stare out away from the wall and walk sideways or they can see it and know what's up
holes... holes everywhere... the killer shack has holes in every wall where you can peer in and see what way the killer is walking, jungle gyms have windows and gaps as well as a very set loop path that the killer can't do much about.
farm maps just have 0 ability to mind game since everything is just slats of wood with 100% visibility and the rock loops allow you to see the killers head.
the big one, survivors can look behind them while running.

we all know the killers hitbox is weird if you try to press up against the loop wall like the survivor does, causing you to randomly get stuck or pushed away. why can't the devs just make it so a survivor gets stuck or slowed if they press up against the wall/pallet/ etc? What does this solve exactly other than being a little bit annoying?
The survivor can't get that perfect loop in and get an extra loop out of it.
I just had a survivor that was face planted so hard into the wall of junk that their character was actually clipping inside of it and they looked like they were almost running sideways. Every time they got to a corner they seemed to get a little speed boost out of it and actually pull away from me for a split second. i was playing the huntress so i could notice it due to her slowed speed.
They got 2 loops out of it when they should only have gotten one as it was a short loop.
-
you can't force them to make a mistake as they just communicate everything you are doing...
if one sees your totem, they all know where it is
if you try to 3 gen they distract and 3 man one gen and just keep doing that till it pops.
communication is just to strong for a game built like this. any and all things a killer can do are countered with a simple killer did x and is going y

I think one D-strike is perfectly fine but, when you deal with more then 2 the game becomes an absolute nightmare for any killer.even one is a pain because that guy is going to be the single biggest pest in the game. but yeah, if it was changed so only one survivor could use it and it became a dead perk for the others that would be ok.

i tried for over an hour and could not get a game lol. survivors so salty they refuse to play the ptb XD

I read a paper once that said that when people retell stories that involve time generally the time they retell is doubled from what it actually was. So your 25 seconds may have been more like 10 to 12 seconds (unless you had a stopwatch running?) Things happen and killers can see more than you might think. Scratches, a head bob, your butt might be sticking out from the rock, the tool box your carrying might poke out from around a tree, etc. It's not always cheating. Also, sometimes it's just smart gameplay. There are places on maps that survivors tend to use for hiding and experienced killers will check those points. But it's possible he may have also been cheating. Unfortunately there's no real way to prove it. It sucks but that's how it is I'm afraid. We live and die by EAC.
i literally counted... and every spot is a hiding spot on this map.
-
the ptb is the most pointless way of testing things. NOBODY plays in the ptb seriously because there is no reward or progression made. they can also skiew the stats by intentionally failing over and over if it is a buff to killers they don't like and vice versa for killers.
the only way to test updates is to put them in the live game for 2 weeks and see what happens. you get real stats and it is not a choice to test it. if it is bad then change it, i fail to see why this is so hard for these devs.
-
it allows new players and killers to learn the game against equally nooby people instead of r1 !@#$!boy squads using a r20 friend to mess with people.
-
i waited 30 minutes and gave up, as nobody joined.
-
i have been playing her without ad-dons so i will be able to tell if they did... just need to wait for a lobby in the ptb

but then he says "the power of whispers would INCREASE its range by 6-8-10 meters..

Woah woah they SAID “8 meters”?? That’s a huge buff considering it’s a much smaller search area than 32 meters.
But it only works with the last survivor? Well... at least I’ll have another perk slot free.he has his info wrong, it gets bigger the more survivors die. so once you kill 2 survivors it actually becomes detrimental to take it, because now all you hear is whispering in your ear as it will never turn off unless you are on the other side of the map.
my info is not wrong. if all 3 survivors are dead its 8 meters. Whispers - QOL Change - Sporadically hear the Entity's whisper when standing within a 24m range of a survivor. The power of Whispers weakens by 10m / 8m / 6m each time a survivor is killed. yeah fun times searching for someone on a huge map waiting to be within 8 meters and if they stay away from you. you would never bloody find them if they had premonition etc etc. this is what i meant by if the last guy is alive. and does nothing except walk around the game is held hostage that in itself is a nerf as you would have to track the whole map unless they are not that smart and stick to the middle of the map
well there you go, i thought they said it would get bigger.

I think that devs need to put NOT IN MID PATCH over your whole screen. They are just having an idea and it's not finali see you haven't been around for long, anything the devs have ever portrayed as an idea has usually ended up being introduced just as they have said without any changes from the "idea" stage... and if they do not hear any objections after announcing the idea then they think everything is all sweet and will go ahead with it without even looking at it again.

I gotta say, it doesn't happen often on PC. There have been some games where the survivor is just hiding, not trying to escape at all, but it's rare. I've probably experienced 3 in the 600 hours I have played. They've already explained that they are working on making the endgame more dynamic and fun for all, so this should be a moot point once they get all their design changes in.as long as it isn't an easy win for the survivor because you closed the hatch then they will resort to just crouching around the map.. this happens now if you kill 3 of them with 4-5 gens up.

I’m also not a big fan of the new Whispers. IMO, it’s one of these perks that are in an absolute sweet spot right now, but the new changes probably gonna make this perk very unattractive for some people.the perk will serve zero purpose after 1 or 2 kills and just be a hindrance with constant whispering.. it is a full blown nerf to delete it from use.

Killers should prepare themselves to complain about an even faster gen rush, thats about the only these changes are doing.this is the best thing about it, this is revealing to the devs the true state of the game with stats, since telling them doesn't work. the faster games finish, the more the stats will reveal it, and the more likely we are to see the devs change it so the game is guaranteed to take more then 3 minutes.

It would take 40 seconds of not running. That means walking everywhere.that's the way it works now... how often do they not have sb when you find them?
-
@Twix said:
Sprint Burst Change: I'd go about it a little bit differently, instead of not letting you recover while running - it should be changed so that it won't let you recover while performing an action. (Repairing, healing, etc)
Why? Because the main problem with SB is survivors waiting for the killer to get near them and then run away to a pallet, so by not letting them recover while performing an action it'll make it so SB won't be back up if you're repairing a generator.Selfcare Change: The current change that is being planned out is a little too much, instead, make it so you get specific checkpoints at 35% and 75%, so let's say you start healing and get to 20% then it would reset, but if you get to 45% it would reset to the checkpoint. (35%)
Why? Because if you lose the killer and go to a corner to heal and you're in at like 70% and he finds you again it would reset your healing to 0% and that's just too much of a nerf and with what I've proposed it won't let you pallet loop and heal, because it will still reset, but to specific checkpoints. What are your thoughts on this?
Your sb idea is exactly what it needs
the healing nerf is fine, if the killer finds you healing then you SHOULD go back to . If you want permanent healing then go drag a buddy off a gen.

@Tzeentchling9 said:
Sure, it can still be used to cover up bad positioning, but it also slows the game down because Survivors with it can't run everywhere unless they risk it not being ready and totally useless in a chase if the killer comes and finds them on a gen.The chances of it not being ready are so slim because it recharges so fast outside of a chase.
-
the sb or "exhaustion" nerf is pointless. the issue is sprint burst and the speed is recovers outside of a chase, a survivor always has sb ready when you find them and that perk allows them to ignore bad positioning and always get to a pallet loop or infinite building.
the other nerfs look good tho.
-
The runners have already started getting the hunter nerfed, he will soon be wraith tier for that game with 20-30 second stuns per arrow etc and weapons that may as well be a wet noodle.
-
ds needs to be deleted from the game.
-
i have the best net in my country and all it does is cause me issues... because there is zero delay survivors are able to dodge hatchets perfectly or pallet stun me no matter how late they press space, on the flip side when i play survivor i am being hit by hatchets around corners and being hit on the other side of pallets after i start the animation. i am seriously contemplating using a wireless dongle to be on their level to make things fair.
-
to waste your bp.
-
3 months between patches is a bit rough tho... especially with the tiny little changes these devs make.
