I would love seeing my teammates' perks in lobby. But we all know this community would use it to lobby dodge. No Mither users would never get to play a game again lol.

    Lol yeah I guess.

  • Survivor or killer if you choose to play the game in a way that is considered "toxic" by most you have to be able to take the hate you get for it.

That being said everyone is free to play however they choose to play

  • Blendettes and "second chance" build survivors who manage to get themselves killed with their cocky behaviour before the game has properly even started.

  • @KingFrost said:

Those perks help them last longer, which helps the team in the long run.

You want to talk selfish teammates. Teammates who bring keys and leave you behind as soon as the hatch spawns.

So they'd last less without those perks than the couple of minutes max they do now?

    Damn.

  • @Deathslinger said:

Yeah, I suggested this too, so that solo survivors could make builds around each other, like you don’t need 3 people trying to run healer ect ect.

Every1 shot it down and the crutch of the problem is Toxic Survivors are Toxic.

    Damn shame~

Yeah, damn shame. I don't have a SWF group but I'd still like to think there are others who like to play as a team and actually give escaping a try.

  • @AvisDeene said:

Why, so match making could take even longer? So people could be toxic and judgmental before and after matches? No, it’s fine the way it is.

My advice is for you to play for yourself. You don’t owe anyone on your team anything, so you shouldn’t have to play with perks that help them.

I don't want to "play for myself". I love working as a team and I know it's next to impossible to achieve in solo queue but I still want to help out my team as much as possible.

I just don't get how these people got up to red ranks when they can't stay alive for five minutes even with their crutch perks.

    Argh.

If one minute is too much time then I am deeply concerned with the logic behind that comment. My point is its completely possible and fairy easy. And the boring, yawn inducing comment of "BuT HoW dO yOu KnOw ThEy ArE ConSolE PlAyeRS" is immediately and easily destroyed. Just don't say things that are wrong and I wont correct.

Or no-one else is salty enough to care about stalking which platform someone else is playing on.

  • @mistar_z said:

Okay assuming you're not a dumbass or the survivors you played with also aren't dumbasses that rush hooks before the killer leaves or either of you are too stupid to try and take the killers aggro after rescuing someone, and then blaming the killer for your bad calls.

However i's likely that the nurse is you're playing against are not experienced nurses or they are new to playing her.

Nurse is stupid broken strong but the road there is is a long journey and most people don't have the patience, skills and experience to play her. This means there's a good chance that the bad ones will camp because they feel pressured more easily, and sometimes the survivors are too ez and stupid to not take the bait so killers get rewarded and they "feel good" about themselves.

It's apart of why killers like Wraith and pre- rewroked Bubba are more infamous for camping. They're bad killers that are hard to pressure with. And their kit is decent enough to camp with.

It could also potentially be because she's doing her daily and don't care really care for playing.

I'm actually almost disappointed if the Bubba doesn't camp lol. But yeah probably just new Nurse players in red ranks although they still had a lot of fancy stuff on for a player who doesn't main that character.

    Maybe they're Bubba mains!

  • Just give Lameslinger a proper Terror Radius. Otherwise he's fine.

  • Huh. Didn't think of that, thanks. I just assumed in high ranks everyone knew their way around all killers. Then again I only play Plague so yeah.

  • I've also so far not seen anyone DC unless they

    a) get downed/hooked first

    b) get two hooks in a row

    c) fail to loop the killer

    d) get hooked in the basement

Maybe it's all just "network errors" but they seem to be pretty conveniently happening whenever a survivor fails at something.

  • Xbox player here and I agree. I've never seen this many DCs and hook suicides. It all started with CP. It sucks but I try to make the most of the game regardless.

I only wish there was a protection pip in store for everyone who stays in a game while others DC. I just don't think it's fair disconnecting players can make you and others de-pip.

  • Stealth is fine. Sitting in a bush waiting for the hatch is not.

  • Plague main here (survivor main actually but when I go killer I exclusively play as the Plague) and no, she doesn't need a buff. You can consistently 4k using only her 3 personal perks which aren't super great. She's perfectly balanced as she is.

  • Lameslinger needs a proper Terror Radius. I'm sick of running into him before I have any idea he's close. Otherwise I have no problem with him.

  • As a red rank survivor I've never seen gen rushing in action in anything other than Ebony Mori games. Except maybe once when we had a really low rank killer during MMR and we could basically just sit on a gen each without being bothered once. I don't think that counts as gen rushing though. Just an inefficient killer.

Inner Introvert: You work best on your own. Gain a bonus 5/10/15% speed bonus when repairing a generator alone.

Horror Addict: Years of horror consumption has gotten you used to dealing with fear. While inside the killer's Terror Radius hold the Active Ability Button to stay absolutely silent. This ability has 30/60/90 seconds of use.

Kind At Heart: Helping others brings you joy. After unhooking or healing someone gain a 5/7/10% Haste status for 10/20/30 seconds.

I don't have a problem with Claudette's, it was the first one I prestiged because... well, because her skin it was harder to see. Now I do have problems as a killer when I see some people not doing anything for the team. And sometimes when I see the team leaving behind someone on hook when they can clearly save him it makes me want to unhook said person myself and let him go while I kill everyone else. I really hate when they open the exit gates and stay there wanting to troll the killer when there's a buddy left behind. I really feel bad for the poor survivor.

I hear you. And I'm sure everyone was a Blendette once and at low ranks it's more acceptable but there's still no excuse to ignore hooked teammates or gens just so Blendie can lurk long enough to use that key on the hatch and bail out.

I've also noticed Blendettes are the ones very likely to intentionally run the killer to you in hopes of getting them to chase you instead of them.

Yes! Sweet Bolognese this happens way too often. Just about to finish a gen and BOOM in comes a Claudette with the killer on their tail.

  • Lol. I was once given the hatch because I was the only one not playing as Blendette on Dead Dawg Saloon. The killer specifically messaged me telling me how much they hate Blendettes. I was happy.

  • @EntitledMyersMain said:

I usually don't camp, tunnel, or mori, but for Blendettes I make an exception.

This brings warmth to my heart.

  • @Yamaoka said:

Yesterday I got farmed by a Blendette without borrowed time so I just gave up and waved at the killer who didn't even have enough time to leave the hook as in "ok go on then - kill me". Killer straight up ran past me and went after the Claudette even though it was only 1 gen left.

    What a legend.

Man that must have felt great.

Send me your Blendettes, i will gladly kill them all in your name.

    A mighty hero has appeared!

  • @Mikeasaurus said:

My Ghostface has a surplus of Ebony Mori's set aside just for Selfies with Blendettes. They love it so much they DC instantly upon it happening. Gotta love a Blendette squad!

    Lol nice!

  • I'd just be happy anytime the killer "wastes" a perk slot on FD and not something more bothersome.

Plus I've made a habit of only bringing brown stuff so I don't have to bother looking if it gets knocked off my hand. Or bring a brown medkit & syringe combo and stick it into the first person to get injured so the medkit gets consumed anyway.

Yeah... I was pretty proud when I made it to Rank-10 with Myers, but I slipped back to eleven almost immediately for the same reason. Rank-11 seems to be where I'm stalling for the most part due to very LOW point games created by spoilers.

It feels bad. Not the de-ranking itself but it takes so much out of the game for both parties. I hope you'll be seeing less of both.

  • @stargazer9 said:

How will MMR help with hook suicides and DCs?

Well I'd think someone who regularly kills themselves on the hook or rage quits can't have their skill rated too high.

  • @Masochistic_Killer said:

I mean... rank doesn't do anything, so if you're enjoying the d/cs and suicides, keep playing I guess?

De-ranking doesn't bother me. I rather enjoy the lower rank games. Not that sweaty. But the lower I go the more I see both HSs and DCs. And no I'm not enjoying them.

Tip: If you don't want to face doctor, run Calm Spirit. I never get Doctor when I run that perk.

Yeah it's weird. Maybe it's the perks doing it. Whenever I run Spine Chill I seem to only get Pig/Wraith/Michael/GF.

  • Well I just had 4 doctor games in a row and I'm willing to bet that the next one is too.

It seems to be the same with maps. It's like there's a daily map that pops up no matter which map offering you burn.

This has only been happening to me after CP was implemented. Before it truly felt random. Now not so much.

  • I've been thinking about playing killer every once in a while but this is exactly why I haven't yet. I'm a survivor main (red rank) and I'm scared I'll be matched with red rank survivors.

I've never played killer before and if MMR doesn't come back looks like it'll stay that way.

  • I've gotten stuck more times than I'd like to admit but today is the one that really got to me. I'm finally doing the adept achievements for the characters and got stuck on a hillside as I was running for the exit gate. Now this was with a character I really don't like playing and it had taken me way too many games to finally get one where I could have escaped. But noooo: stuck on a hill and while everyone else ran out the door I was left behind and of course the killer showed no mercy and hooked me.

I needed a couple minutes to breathe after that one.

  • Going to turn it off today too. Clear toxicity towards people playing on a different platform plus as a red rank I keep being put into games where everyone else is yellow ranked including the killer.

Not the experience I'm looking for which is a shame since my first day with crossplay was amazing.

  • I guess I should give a little perspective to the amount; I've been playing for 16 hours straight. Making the most out of the last days of my vacation.

  • @Alphasoul05 said:

If you had 7 games where this happened in one day when, in my memory, I can't remember it happening in years, it seems like the issue is you making assumptions.

I mean for all you know the killer might just have killed 3 people and decided to just farm with the last guy. I do that sometimes if it was an easy game or they burn bp offerings if the survivor implies they want to.

I know the difference between letting someone go and having a survivor help the killer. Like I said it was obvious. Going to stand on a hill and pointing at the direction people are repairing a generator in and such.

  • We're just sick of facecamping Michaels and want to get out of there as fast as possible.

  • Console player here. There's only one situation when I'll resort to using self care: running out of med kits and playing several games in a row where team "mates" actually run away from you when you're injured.

Had this happen today. I'd use empathy to find and heal them if they were hurt and they'd pay me back by leaving me there to bleed when I needed healing. Or they'd let me heal them and then start healing me only to fail several skill checks in a row and leave running when the killer came to check it out. So I ran a couple of selfish care games after that until I started getting med kits from the bloodweb again.

  • Im loving it. I was surprised too, I thought it would be awful but no. Fast MM times and truly unique games. After ten hours of playing only experienced one disconnect.

  • Brunette Kate. She's cute and I really like her voice. Plus she has that awesome horse (Christmas?) sweater.

  • Cooperation with teammates. I love it when we stick together and and escape after doing everything we can to help each other get there.

Of course since I main soloQ this is a utopia which never comes true.

Today I saved a teammate twice from the hook. Healed them three times and took protection hits twice only to have them come and t-bag in front of me when I finally got hooked.

  • Same here. I've been playing for 13 hours straight and I've only escaped once and even that was because Freddy showed mercy when I was the last one alive.

For some awful reason I'm red ranked although I don't think it matches my skill at all. Aside from the mercy game every game I've played has been a 4k for the killer. It's getting old really fast. At least with MMR I had a chance.

The only thing keeping me from hook suicides is the negative effect it would have on the game for others.

Did I mention that every other game is a mori game? Fun fun.

  • Now that MMR is gone every game is us (me) fixing 1-3 generators and then all of us dying on our 3rd hook. And for some reason the rank system chooses to punish me by keeping me in the red ranks even though every game I go into is guaranteed to be a 4k for the killer and I can't catch a break with easier games due to my rank which in no way reflects my skill imo. And I really don't want to start disconnecting just to get my rank down.

  • I created an account just so I could write this: Please for the sake of all things that are good bring the MMR back. Sure at first it was weird but at least I didn't have to wait 47mins just to find a game. There were good games and bad games and really good games and really bad ones and everything in between. As it should be.

Now it's back to the way it was when I decided to quit this game. Wait forever for a game and when you find one; they're all exactly the same. Copy paste. I know how the game is going to go before it even starts. That's not what I want.

I loved the mixed games. Sure some were just terrible when me and three 20s got matched against rank 1 killers. But sometimes even those games ended up being fun. Now the experience is just boring and repeating itself. Just like it was when I quit this game. I don't want to quit again but I just don't see a point in repeating the same match endlessly hoping for it to change all while hearing Vaas in my head telling me about the definition of insanity.
