About a month ago people argued about the semantics of what on earth this strategy is and they argued it's a tech. So it's all a matter of opinion. There's no counter for the survivor at all. It's not as powerful as dead hard which forces a mind game between killer and survivor. Adrenaline is not that.

They were not injured. They were healthy and went into Deep Wound.

Myers is actually pretty easy to buff. He doesn’t need a rework he just needs little tweaks. Here’s what I would do
-When you reach tier 2 or tier 3 it now acts like Onis blood fury where you can activate it when ever you like. Bring back the old Myers sound when he’s close to leveling up with this.
-when a survivor does any conspicuous action there stalk juice will go down. This is so Myers never runs out of evil within in a match.
-When Myers is in evil within III his breaking speed is increased by 20% and pallet stuns are reduced by 50%. Does not stack with Enduring, Brutal strength or fire up.
I dig it.

First world problems. As much as I understand your frustration and I've felt the same way, security and liberty are a bigger deal to me. Spend a few months playing DBD in China and come back with what you learned. I've also had someone from DBD watching my own computer screen and I don't stream. That is just creepy.
-
Regardless of the definition of an exploit is, my point was to discuss adrenaline. I guess I can retitle this "adrenaline tech abuse" or something, but I don't want to go on a tangent about semantics.
Some might call it "big brain", but I see it as a cheap strategy, bad design and something to be looked into. Even in anonymous mode, killers can still recognize if I'm the survivor playing against them and will remember which perks I've ran matches prior. Especially during hours when there's a smaller population online. Also, the survivor has no frame advantage during the pick up animation, and there's no mind game like on dead hard.
-
Thought I would update this boon idea with a buff. On top of halting the hook progress if the killer is near the hook, when the booner is on the hook and the boon is still active, survivors on generators receive a generator speed bonus. This is a strong way to force killers away from facecamping.
Or, instead of a speed buff, anyone that has a boon totem of any kind and has a boon totem active is protected by your boon.

I can see what you all mean with nurse being difficult to learn. My opinion is that she's just different in all ways to the other killers on how she can acquire a hit and that's why she's difficult to pick up. But once you got her, you got her. If I were to rephrase my original post, it would be to say that her skill-ceiling is high and such kinds of conversations. I do in fact think it's just people patting their own ego when it comes to nurse. There's nothing special about going against a "good" Nurse with Lethal Pursuer, Floods of Rage, BBQ and Pain Rez in a match with range add-ons. And saying she has a high ceiling is compensating the crutch.
-
I don't understand how this could not be an easier fix than just nerfing it.

No, hook suiciders can suffer.
I'm saying this because they nerfed Reassurance so they can allow survivors to die on hook if they don't want to be in a match. They got rid of a good perk to resist facecamping so survivors will not be griefed into an infinite hookstate and forced to DC.
-
This game is rated M and obviously they cater to a different standard of rating. Obviously, they don't think Mature rating is mature enough for mature people.
-
lmao! "Complications". They released RCPD and took it down fast and now they have a "complication" with Pinhead's voice? Yeah I'm not buying this DLC until I know his voice is back. I'm not falling for technical issues as an excuse until it actually comes back.

I would stop playing dead by daylight.

BBQ is already at a great spot, Camping in the scenario you bring up would be a detrimental strategy unless, ofc if survivors are stupid then its gonna work. Camping isnt easy to pull off with smart survivors. And BBQ as it works currently is extremely good for creating snowballing effect for the Killer.
I'm not saying BBQ and Chili as an aura reading perk needs to be changed. I'm saying separate the BP bonus that goes along with it. And then that's when you'll have a bonus to good game play even if survivors are in lockers. Hooking is a fundamental to dead by daylight and giving the BP reward with assisted game play too much. That's what I'm trying to communicate. Not that the aura reading is too strong or needs to be changed, but there should be a bonus to assisted gameplay in the same way We're Gonna Live Forever has no assistance to how you play, but only if you play better.
If you enjoy BBQ and Chili as an aura reading perk, more power to you! ;)

This is not about the Perk BBQ and Chili as an aura reading perk. This is about the Bonus BP reward that goes with it. The two should no go together as a bonus. If you enjoy BBQ and Chili as an aura reading perk, that's great. More power to you. I'm saying the perk should not have a bonus BP reward added to the aura reading. The BP bonus and Aura reading need to be their own unique perks. Catching a survivor and finding them is a fundamental to dead by daylight. So make it a unique perk. NOT an additional bonus to assisted game play in the same way survivors have We're Gonna Live Forever.

You do realise half the time when survivors aren't revealed it's because they know to hide in lockers when it becomes obvious that the killer has bbq?
That's what Iron Maiden is for. Rancor also shows you in lockers. At least, Rancor did at one point. Not sure if it still does.
-
The bonus rewards Good killers, yes, but it also gives reward to the bad players. Players that cannot hunt or track survivors. It's an ez bee line to a survivor with the aura. That's why it needs to be separated.
-
I'm saying the aura reading needs to be separated from the bloodpoint bonus. They can both be their own separate perks. Both together, no. A tunnel and camp can't be differentiated from the bonus reward however. We're Gonna Live Forever requires you to unhook safely.
-
They don't give you double bloodpoints though at the end of the match. That's what this is about. Bloodpoints. Not the perk. The perk We're Gonna Live Forever is its own perk for a fundamental survivor gameplay. BBQ and Chili awards and grants more and plus.
@ABannedCat said:
"but it actually rewards bad gameplay for the killer for no effort at al"
Decisive Strike, Borrowed Time, Dead Hard, Unbreakable do basically the same. Reward you for your mistakes.
-
Pop makes the games so much more longer and way more boring. It was alright before, but now with the new survivor changes, it's just a terrible perk and is becoming unnecessary. Their attempt to create a perk to counter it is a nice attempt, but it barely meets the amount of power of Pop. Repressed Alliance has the downfall of locking the gens against survivors while still granting enough time for the killer to kick it after the timer is out.
-
They should make it so killers cannot see the glowing stuff, but either way, killers are still camping and tunneling and nothing will change about that. Nerf Survivors tho.....

I wrote a similar Discussion a while ago on the same topic if you'd like to Up Vote it. Go ahead and look at it. They're just ideas and brain storms. If you like the idea of reworking moris upvote these threads. https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/151453/mori-rework-ideas#latest

Perhaps even during these lobby games, killers can rob from survivors or survivors can rob from killers their bloodpoints or whatever and we can reclaim as an additional objective during the match for bonuses at the end game. Perhaps this can grant a survivor/killer a golden token, or any other great idea, that can burn through an entire blood web at instant.
-
Well skill checks were also nerfed so we use Stake Out more often, but I would say it greatly increases the amount of skillchecks we get in a given time. And if we let go of the Toolbox, the Add on depletes itself. But this is definitely open to new ideas revolving around skillchecks and toolboxes.
-
I posted about this before. I must agree. I can't stand that bug. And it's not even a bug... Just poorly made. We play and pay for this game. We give $5 for just an extra detail in a game we love to play and they half ass it and still HAVE NOT fixed it.
-
Or... Cruel Intentions is similar to Spine Chill. After completing a generator survivor, receives a Resented status effect. Any time a looks in the direction of the resented survivor, they vault slower at a percentage and other status effects diminish at a slower by a percentage while in a chase.
-
I guess I'm not the first, but I'll add that I keep getting hit through pallets long after I already drop it. Same thing goes with windows.
-
They apparently went "missing"! Ha! Milk carton girl
-
No Mither rework +1
-
Why did I forget about this?!
-
or maybe these crows just can't get scared. Which makes it more scarier. A scarecrow that gets its eyes eaten by crows.
-
Ah i didn't see this. Do you have a link?
-
This isn't so much a big change, but it's nice to have... It's just the same as new players receiving tips about who the killer will be or not. This is such an easy fix than something like camping. It's just something they can switch off and it not ruin the whole game. It's just an extra thing, not a big change. It's just a switch off and then they can all go on with their priorities after.
-
If I'm reading this correct, the pallet was dropped on you while you were picking someone up? This has always been the case. You can never pallet stun or flashight blind a killer during animation. You always have to catch them the tiny second after they leave the animation. Lag also comes into consideration, here.
-
Yeah those are good reasons. I just believe it would be nicer if it was of a lower rarity.
-
I've heard that there was a lot of lagswitching.

they are no longer checking reports.theres 2month old speedhacker report videos, filed the correct way, that were never checked, and we know that by the view counts.
Speedhacker : “lol who cares? they dont read your reports anyway noobs”
I love that you quoted the speedhacker in the end game chats as well. They told the killer the exact thing.
-
Unfortunately, the hatch mechanic during the PTB does not solve hatch camping. It's only meant to solve hatch stand-offs. A player is still going to be able to camp the hatch unless the killer decides they want to find the hatch first before one survivor remains. Nothing cringes me more than a hatch camper.
-
I block them and leave the match the first second the match starts. 5 gens to escape and killer has the advantage

-
I had suggested before that DS should only work on non-obsessions if the obsession is dead, downed or on a hook. I recently dealt with a wave of slugging killers and wished I had decisive strike... Decisive strike was create when hook breaking and slugging was an issue. If DS goes away, slugging will definitely come back and Unbreakable will be a super meta.
-
I love Haddonfield a lot and I'm really like Father Campbell's Chapel a lot, too.
I do not like Mother's Dwelling at all and The Pale Rose at all. -
I feel click-baited since I already played against plenty of clowns and had a bottle cracked on poor Dwight's head... But I have heard of this comment before. They decided to make his comment into a perk instead.

Oops I typed it wrong. The trailer to the sequel comes out this Friday is what I meant to type. Official film is to release on October 19th.
-
I actually just posted on the Wishlist that this year John Carpenter is releasing an official sequel to the Halloween movie that took place 40 years ago. It would be great to see an addition on top of what we have. Perhaps another ability and playstyle for Michael Myers. Perhaps the Devs have ideas for what they wish they could have done for Myers that they can release along side with the new film this Halloween.
