Those people will dodge for any reason even anon mode will not stop them.

I think there a people who definitely look at hours and will dodge when they see it. some of the lobbies where I wait the longest is where multiple people have + 2000 hours in lobby visible on profile. I switched to annon few years back because basically all my pre game lobbies would take towards 10 min mark on average because of the killer leaving.

I have over 6000 hours currently and I think if I made that visible I would have significantly more pre game lobby dodging then I currently do. But I do agree with you that people will use any excuse to dodge a lobby ( eg 4 aces, pc lobby, toolbox lobby, cosmetics)

I'm of opinion if people want anon mode to not be in the game or to be restricted, what the killer sees in the pre game need to be the same as what the survivors see on the killer. Because I would not use anon mode if my profile was not shown in pre game lobby, idm if its shown in end game lobby.

  • disagree, I wanna use annon so people don't dodge the lobby based on hours.

Thing they need to do tho is make is so that if you DC you cant chat in end game because currently someone can dc and rage spam in end game chat. They had forethought to remove spectating if you dc but not chatting.

  • Yes double speed ad on suck and need to be reworked into a new effect.

  • When I get a soloq team that is efficient we do amazing, we are not as efficient as a SWF because we are not on mic and cant call out things (why I'm a advocate for comm wheel and seeing perks which we finally getting) but when a soloq team is all on same level match it usually ends up being a really fair and fun match. (not always a escape but it feels fair and balanced)

some killers are a issue and still need changes. (spirit and Hennery I find no issues with, Krause only a issue because her counterplay is SWF coded)

I think one of the main issue with soloq is the matchmaking, Ill be matchmaked with a Killer whos trying their best, I'm trying my best then rest of my team mates are in the basement for some reason with no gen progression after first chase (legit had match go like this yesterday) Meanwhile if I would of had a team who was on same efficiency level as me a gen or 2 would of been done.

  • Im sorry what do you mean because it is how the system works.

You get slugged once and if you are picked up by team, if you go down again you get the abandon option, had a game before posting this where killer slugged me at pallet (which was correct thing to do or he would of just got stunned when he picked me up) and I got up without the killer picking me up, then the next time I got downed I get the abandon option.

I just think It should be 3 or 4 downs not essentially one down without pick up, I just think abandon options should not be popping up in the middle of normal gameplay.

Absolutely not until the AI killer bot problem is solved!

The killer hack bots will just down everyone tho. Abaddon option when everyone is down I do not want to remove.

  • Blood Moon needs to have a in depth rework or needs to be retired as a game mode honestly. Can still have a "bloodmoon celebration" but don't need a whole game mode.

  • DMS and grim I find more annoying because it forces you to get off the gen vs Pain res dms you can just get off the gen right before they are hooked.

  • Reporting needs to be better.

If they really cant add server side checks we need these features

    - In game match history you can go back and look at perks and ad ons (is kinda on stats site but needs to be in game)

    - In game match replay, so that if we suspect someone is cheating we are able to grab the footage and so that THE REPORT TEAM can also go back and see matches which I'm under impression they cant. (including ping that was happening during match)

    - If Reporting does not lead to ban (and you've done the effort of providing footage and out of game manual report) should at least get a response from ban team like "unforcently in this case we did not find any bannable offenses in this report" or "Thank you for your report, we have found the player is participating in bannable offenses" Nothing that would give away internal details about the specifics

Then why don't we just get rid of the problematic, 0 thought add-ons (and perks, it's high time Dissolution is looked at…they could easily just delay the pallet break by ~5 seconds after a fast vault if they wanted to keep the core concept) first instead of doing as drastic of a change as reducing the movement speed of a killer that doesn't directly down with their power (unlike Blight) and has to earn their downs through normal M1 gameplay, survivor misplay (leaving a loop with no game plan), or skillful bodyblocking cutoffs (that typically have some amount of counterplay)?

I just don't think Ghoul is that much of a problem anymore after the revault change. On the stronger side yes, but mediocre Ghouls kinda get dunked on if you and your team know what you're doing unless the map is really favorable for them (like a bunch of disconnected 50/50 pallets that don't do anything unless you get the stun). The problem I've noticed is that most teams are just bad at keeping up with the macro. Really, really bad. They fail to heal at the right time, they aren't mindful of where they go down, they don't pay attention to chase indicators, they don't account for info perks, they waste time like it's 2016 DbD. That's a problem non-specific to Ghoul that BHVR needs to focus on somehow, since clearly a good chunk of the playerbase is incapable/unwilling of properly learning on their own.

Yeah I honestly don't mind doing ad on changes and leave the movement speed. Movement speed I care less about honestly and agree it gives him more speed for more skillful bodyblocking plays, main appeal I saw in these ghoul changes was removing the hitscan hit.

Its the main feature of his kit that I dislike about ghoul combined with the stand still animation lock, If they only removed the hitscan and nothing else I think I would be happy.

So you want to substitute perceived 4.6 m/s cheese with add-on cheese (yippee let's make another killer add-on reliant when they're already kinda add-on reliant already)? I don't get it.

Its better then him having both cheese options. If you don't want to use the add on slots you can use perk slots for same effect but with perks. Its different to being ad on reliant because if you don't want to use the ad ons, use bamboozle and dissolution.

This killer is horrible from a versing perspective that's why I'm keen to see any significant changes because for me personally ghoul ruins this game more then tunneling does.

  • Billy! <3
Am biased Billy is my fav killer to play and love versing him

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I'm not a Ghoul main by any means but I imagine there are plenty of tiles where getting a cutoff is unrealistic against a good player no? Breaking his knees and tentacles at the same time sounds awful. Why would anyone play him over someone like Wraith then?

With the proposed changes above he still has free bamboozle ad on which can be used for them frustrating tiles, same with the vault to break pallet ad on he has (still better then other killers who are forced to use perk slots for same effect)

  • I think I may of had bug too, Swear I was in the red ranks but only on gold 4 assumed it was just a me thing until seeing your post.

  • Yeah base speed changes and hitscan removal would be amazing changes

Unlike other games BHVR do not punish cheating with the unfair advantages gained from installing and using ReShade on their product, similar to other 3rd party software.

People would not be using reshade if the game had actual settings like other games do.

If the handicap was so much they could add setting, lighting and sharpening settings to the base game. (that's what I do because low settings makes the game blurry and I like to sharpen the models while not reducing performance)

  • People have such a range of what BM is, some things I do in game with be considered BM

Eg. If the killer continually drops chase to go back to gens, ill teabag him and try to bait him into chasing me longer works fairly often.

Another example is I just stand at exit gate and take hits as I see on HUD other person it getting the other door done.

I picked other but would put "I BM for strategic purposes"

I think a range nerf on his bite attack would be enough, the vault is unnecessary too and it enables ######### dissolution gameplay.

Now for some "insanely difficult" ghoul counterplay.

I gotta agree with royval the hold does literally nothing. I don't see why it's any more special than weskers throw or slingers gun.

Slingers gun I still can at least move side to side and potenially get myself stuck on something.

Weskers I forgot about but find it far less annoying then ghoul screaming at you as you are forced to stand still. At least wesker is throwing / chocking you

    @Royval said:

the lock in place does nothing. You still get the regular speed boost after hit.

Its not about a speed boost or how it does nothing if it does nothing more of a reason to remove it, thats the point of this suggestion it does not effect his kit but removes his animation lock weeb scream at you as they get a free hit which is annoying to verse.

This may work as well! I would do heavy changes personally, but devs said they wanted to look at changes that dont affect his power level at all so wanted to try to make suggestions to make him less annoying while not touching his kits power.

And killers doesn't benefit from making the right play? I can't remember a game where making a mistake will grant me another chance. And the second it doesn't go their way, they give up?

Can you imagine if a killer whiffs the survivor must stand still and take a hit?

So why do survivors receive so many benefits against strategies killers use? And why does bhvr continue to listen to these types of survivors when it ultimately hurts their game in the long run?

What Killer strategies are giving survivors benefits from the killer using it?

for example If you are trying to use the slug strategy as certain killers it may not work out so well if survivors end up picking themselves up and resetting. Its risk v reward which many games do.

  • In the video He shows example that's in the live game but then later shows this as the live version which I don't see when I've versed doctor. these two snips are different effects but both the live version of game? Are people getting the top version is that the issue?

Thing is this higly depends on survivors and killers skill especialy survivors because nurse is harder for less experienced players but against highly experienced or skilled nurse good survivors that can loop will last shorter time now than against ghoul because being injured isnt something so bad for good survivors that knows how to loop if its was the case (being injured would be very bad for good survivors) than legion and plague would be way stronger than they are.

Nurse is totaly different killer in terms of gameplay to others, she is 4% slower than survivors meaning she cant chase even 100% speed killer cant catch survivor and 105% speed like mayers cant do it fast enought before that survivor has reached some safety and 110% killers can start to cahse but highly more depend on loop type, nurse can play anything but differently her power is strongeest for reason its just way stronger where 115% killers are way way worse like in open spaces and loops where survivor cna see them and react to them but nurse has more harder time to get value when line of sight on target is blocked but she still can play it well because that los is only thing that stops her no window or pallet will save you against nurse but cluster of big tall rocks or walls will.

I agree nurse is the stronger killer but at least she has to put skill into the character to get results was my point. I don't feel as bad loosing to a goated nurse because she's high skill high reward.

Ghoul meanwhile gets a zero skill lock on hit where he weeb screams in your face, Then he either uses hypermobility combined with short cooldowns to get the down or plays the loop normally. Hes low skill high reward.

I would take a nurse match over ghoul any day because majority of players cant play nurse well enough to get consistent results, meanwhile I feel like majority of players can play ghoul and get consistent results.

  • Nurse is at least forced to use her power to get hits, she's so slow its rare she is going to get m1s.

Ghoul is given one hit for free then can either uses hyper mobility to get down or can play the loop normally because his base speed is fast. much faster then nurse who cannot choose to play loops normally.

  • From the list provided my vote is for Krause because her counterplay is bodyblocking, much easier for a SWF to coordinate that then it is for soloq

Knight Is a close second for me.

  • I enjoy the map, slower killers may struggle but that's not a issue specific to that map.

  • Yeah most likely hacker but maybe if they have left they game running since before killswitch they don't lock (I remember seeing that one time when clown was killswitched years ago )

  • I personally don't like this idea, Sometimes the doors are just off angle of being able to view him and indoor maps would be really hard to get rid of the effect, I don't think forcing survivors to interact with a clunky mechanic would help.

IMO the whole door and camera mechanic needs to be reworked.

remove the free grab if survivors are in the doors and add a sort of camera room (like in the games) that you can move around in, check all the camera in there without switching through a clucky menu. the person using the camera can still look at doors to see if killer is coming in and run out another door so they have a chance to get away with a hit, if injured highly likely springtrap will get a down (potentially have power levels for the doors reworked so that exit options get limited when doors loose power) Ad on changes for effects relating to camera room so you could do a more stealth spring trap build or do a axe springtrap.

A better solution is to fix the mechanic of the hatch. The problem with the hatch is that it is just pure RNG, there's very little skill involved with either party. It is just whoever gets lucky enough to spot if first. A better solution would be to create an entire new mechanic for the final escape. My personal favorite idea is as follows:

    • Once there are 2 survivors dead, and a 3rd is downed a portal spawns near the 4th remaining survivor. That survivor can choose to enter the portal (or not if they want to attempt the save).
      • The killer cannot see the portal, and if the survivor moves a bit away from it, it will spawn another one near them, basically allowing them to always have the choice to enter the portal.
      • If the other survivor is healed, or gets up, this portal disappears until the same conditions above are met.
    • If the survivor goes through the portal, the other survivor is immediately sacrificed, and the last remaining survivor is fully healed and they and the killer are placed into a new zone and a short 3-5 second countdown starts (think like, the Halloween event, or the new killer they are working on the judgement)
    • In this symmetrical zone, there's 4 decently good tiles spread out just enough that you can't chain them together, but if the killer breaks the pallet you have enough time to get to then next one. In the center of the zone is a hatch that is closed.
    • The killer and survivor always spawn on opposite ends of the zone
    • In this zone, all killer powers and perks are disabled, all survivor perks and items are disabled, and the killer's movement speed is set to 4.6, and the survivor is set to 4.0. Bloodlust is also disabled.
    • While not in a chase, the survivor's location is revealed to the killer every few seconds (like 2-3 seconds of aura reading or a bubble, just so the survivor can't hide forever)
    • After say, 40 seconds, or a minute, or 80 seconds or whatever feels good (enough for a solid chase), the hatch opens, and cannot be closed by the killer, this means that survivor can escape.
    • If the survivor is downed, the killer automatically starts the final mori sequence.

This basically removes the entire RNG component of the hatch, and pits the killer and the survivor into a fair 1v1 scenario for a short time. No killer powers, no perks, no items, no nothing, just raw 1v1 at base speeds with no gimmicks or bloodlust. This makes it skill based for both sides, . The portal also is always the choice of the survivor, so that if they feel like they want to go for the save on that other teammate, they always have that option and aren't forced into it. The idea here is this zone is also easy to balance as in theory, it should be a 50/50. So if say, survivors escape too often from this zone, you need to nerf the tiles a bit. Or if killers win too often, you strengthen the tiles a bit. Or you can play with the chase timer, or other things that are much easier to balance.

This honestly sounds like such a fun hatch rework I love it!

  • Hey guys look they are changing fast track I can go to seeing it every so often to not at all again, shows us as a community we should just yell and complain about changes until its changed and get content creators to click bait over it. So we should make more ghoul threads? :)

  • @Gardenof_Eden said:

While sadly this is something a lot of killers do.. it's not really that bad. If they are that dedicated at that point you and that duo or random need to accept that the play is to just bleed out and hide and hope to find hatch. I don't play that way either as a killer main but if people want it that badly a lot of people are willing to waste as much time as they need to get it.

Issue is with the new afk crow system, you will get crows if you just hide the whole slug timer. you have to be picking them up or touching gens. (which gives the killer a clue of your general area)

Could be solved by disabling afk crows in the situation.

  • Agreed or at least remove them from the blood web if you just go into the normal game mode, you cant even use this offering in the normal game mode but it still gives it too you in the blood web.

At some point, we need to stop taking people for idiots.

We all know that some players deliberately use a VPN or try to have high ping to gain an advantage in-game.

Killers who play their entire match at over 150ms ping, making it impossible to loop properly because they land hits that shouldn’t connect—yeah yeah, come on, stop treating us like fools.

Even before I had fiber, I never went above around 40 ms.

If people aren’t able to play properly, why should it penalize everyone else?

This. At this point if killer has over 300 ping I tell everyone in EGC to report for lag switching. there is no reasonable reason why you have ping over 300. Would be diffrent if they just gave up like "sorry i have bad ping" but every killer I've had that's had absurdly high ping (not related to servers) is playing like a sweat lord.

Edit: I'm oceanica so no excuses for not having a region, people from middle east should most certainly not be put in oceanica

  • Dravraka Deepwood maps need to be nuked to have the lowest chance of getting they have been at the top of the rotation pool for way to long and maps suck. Used to love toba but getting it over and over makes me hate it.

  • I can understand why they did it, they want to give solos q information that SWFS get, But I agree with GentlemanFridge it should be a bit of a delay or once first chase has started

  • As a mainly survivor player I'm curious why do you guys ignore them or slug them at the start of the game? Is it more of a compassionate view to give them a chance to decide to play the match normally?

Because if they do nothing but run up to you until death they should get hit with the go next prevention if they do it frequently. vs if you slug them they can get a abandon condition and leave for free if they continue to get picked up by team then slugged again.

    @Nazzzak said:

If it's the start of the game, i ignore them. If they're being particularly persistent then I'll slug them. They usually start playing normally after that. Less often they'll DC. If it's late game and they've clearly lost then I'll hook them so they can get to their next game

    @cogsturning said:

Ignore them, usually. If they keep getting in my way I'll slug them. If this person is doing this early enough in the match for it to be a full-blown throw, I'll give the best player hatch (literally just got out of a match like this, with one dead at 4 gens, two throwing, and one juicer continuing on, who got hatch.) If multiple people come to me to make a visual appeal about their bad teammate, I'll let them all go. I don't like free stuff, especially when one person causes others to fail. And there's zero sense of accomplishment in such a match.

Reminder that the game isn't confirmed to be over when all four are slugged. You never know if a random has unbreakable. Unless you want to remove the abandon option until all self-pickup options are unavailable then killers should 100% have the option to abandon in end game. You don't see people calling the abandon feature in mobas a bad idea as it's used when the game is already 95% a loss and people recognize the wasted time. Like sure they COULD play it out but there's no real point to since it would require miracles to come back and I see next to no one advocating for the forfeit options in League to be removed.

Like I said in my initial post, there is no real reasonable arguments to not have it as an option.

I would be ok with removing abandon option if self pick up options are available because that happens very rarely where someone has anti slug and everyone is slugged.

but they are not comparable, The killer does not need a perk to do end game.

One is at the literal end of the game the other is survivors playing badly. And even then they can… just get slugged and abandon after that. I don't have an issue with people getting the abandon feature when everyone left is slugged/hooked but the double standards I see from people is insane.

No one is not literally the end of the game. Its only the end of the game because you want to abandon.

We could say killers in end game are just killers who played badly and didnt get enough kills (because lets be real, this abandon feature are for killers who get gen rushed / no hooks. Killers are not going to abandon with 2 people left)

Their is a huge diffrence between everyone slugged and hooked and all the gens done, the most comparable is the one person dead at 5 gens because that would feel just as unwinable as a killer once all the gens have popped and everyone is alive.

can those who call kaneki a ""cash grab"" then explain why the tokyo ghoul license holders refuse to add any more content of it from the game.

We had stats that the top two killer skins that where brought last year where ghoul skins. the year we got spring trap two Tokyo ghoul skins outperformed.

We also just have to look at how long complaints take to be addressed to see how much of a cash grab is.

Henry had is power made more dodgable the next patch after he came out

Krasue was taken to the barn and taken out a patch or two after release

Spring trap had complaints about speed ad ons that where immediately addressed.

Meanwhile ghoul had kidnap tech that was left unaddressed for months. One of top complaints about him is the animation lock free hit which has not been addressed. Enraged vault being another huge complaint, only to tell players the revault is the counterplay and leave it in the game then a month later try to remove it as a bug fix.

  • Agreed their is enough space on the screen for both we don't need another tab for quests

Im not OP but their is a huge double standard of if a killer gives up verses survivor in the community.

We could say every killer that complains about survivors who give up are just mad they cant bully lower skill survivors. why complain you get your bp after all.

The community seems to want to punish survivors more then they do killer which isn't fair, if its ok for one side to do it its ok for the other.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/465985/killers-rage-dcing-is-getting-out-of-hand

As a survivor main, I don't care if the killer DCs, for a few reasons.
    1. When they DC, the match ends and the survivors win. No time wasted, you can just go queue for the next match.
    2. They are alone on their side. If they get looped so hard that they feel like they are out of their skill level, then I don't mind if they leave if they give up. I very much prefer this over them just AFKing somewhere while we finish the generators.

On the other hand, when survivors leave, the match continues and the remaining players are forced to play with bots. Personally I don't want to play either with or against bots in a multiplayer game, and I don't know how anyone can claim "bots are good". What? They actively work against you instead of being useful. They follow you around like a lost puppy when injured. Even if you're on a generator, they'll spam crouch next to you to ask for heals instead of just joining you on the gen. They'll actively sacrifice team mates while they are in a chase. Their behavior infuriates me more than any rando ever could.

    In regards to bots.

You can point at gens and the bots will do the gen.

Same with healing you can do the come emote and they will start healing you first if both you and bot are injured rather then begging for a heal first.

Idk if it needs to be permanent, it is a fun game mode and I do enjoy it. But if it was live all the time interest would naturally wane, and queue times would increase for 2v8, particularly for killers.

Having it as a time limited event makes it a novelty so people play it more. When 2v8 is up i pretty much play it exclusively when i have friends online. I'd play it a lot less if it was a permanent playlist.

I think the casuals are the ones who will be more drawn to play the mode if it was a premanent mode. People who prefer 1v4 making it premenant isnt for them.

The novelty wore off for me personally after the first time (came back only to check out flashlight update) but casuals are in love with the mode and prefer it over 1v4. i also think the novelty going away would also make people who only play for the novelty of playing duo killer will also stop playing as much, where as now they all swam the gamemode as its limited.

Its also easier to bring new players into the game as nothing has too be paid for unlike if you wanna use certain perks.

Side not but if not a permanent mode they should at least add to customs

Just a reminder that survivors can switch their entire build with a button click
That said, would also rather both sides see nothing

Yeah that would be the best way to go, make it equal between killer and surviours and have both not be ablw to see anything about the other side.
