You haven’t seen filth yet…. Wait until that FOV slider comes out, and my 4th perk slot becomes unlocked. My power level will surely be over 9,000..
Well. I'm Impressed. But also I have to ask. By how many survivor tears have these levels been fueled? When does this massacre ever end? Has your hunger for purple ring shaped addons no limit?

Part of my point though is that survivors regularly talk about said mechanics as being “too easy”, ignoring the fact that survivor gameplay comes down to pre running and dropping pallets. I agree with the BS thing to an extent, but I think killers are forced to deal with far worse BS, especially in regards to SWF.
SWF, if played optimally, breaks the game. That's a fact that has been proven by these cringy tournaments over and over again.
In that case, yes. Killer has to deal with more bs. But survivors also have to deal with a ton of bs. This goes from solo teammates to your regular pub stomping blight (looking at you @HugTechLover).
It's always good to play both sides to see all the stuff both sides have to suffer through.
I think however, that many parties suffer from the power trip that is a strong 4man swf on comms.

Pretty much the same case for me with Trapper.
No planning since there are so many traps to spam, (and actual no good places to think for setting up). Just put down at pallets and hope survivors run there before their teammate disarms. Especially play like Artist that he put trap mid chase, force survivor to leave loops and catch up with Haste.
Feel no skill in planning and setup anymore. I want to mind game them, manipulate their path into my traps.
Someone that gets it.

Lmao, yes the pig is the best m1. Not even close when things like singularity and dredge exist. Looping a pig is prob one of the easiest feats achivable in the game. Also that supposed chase power (the ambush) only works if the survivors lack any knowledge of how to loop.
Wanna play against me?

Sorry, Pig is very weird where playing her feels like you have no chase power to me which is frustrating but against her the traps are a massive headache in soloQ because people will just pop gens and trigger your trap without thinking so it's frustrating on both ends.
She has a chase power. She's also arguably the best m1 killer in the game. If you dig that, you dig the pig.

Agreed that they should have added some form of buffs. Unfortunately, they didn't even give her a chance before destroying her and her endgame playstyles. They had options too like Tag was sayin. From something like you mentioned with exit gates, Tag mentioned with the END Game timer pause, to a different view such as disabling RBT on hatch close, even tinkering with RBT timer or her TR (and I do not mean nerfing it from 28 Metres, which all the newer killers get to break or bend that rule anyways -🐽-).
I'll leave it at yes, she would have been pretty strong, but still very much beatable in ~3-4 minutes. Pig putting you into a tough situation due to RBTs has always been part of her uniqueness.
Agree! I made an entire post about pigs TR and how weird the rule about the generalization is at this point.
(also, love that we all use the same pig emojis now. WE ARE THE LEAGUE OF PIG! UNITE!)

Well I’ll ask again: why should killers be forced to deal with this BS while survivors demand that a high skill killer gets nerfed? Same thing with Deathslinger. His kill rates were in line with the cast, his quick draw took skill to use, yet he was nerfed into the ground.
We all deal with bs. It's not a one side thing. Survivors deal with bs and Killers do.
Just because something is (relatively) hard to pull off, doesn't rectify this aspect being completely unbalanced.
This goes for swf, Nurse, Blights addons and much more.

I'm talking about the video in the comment you replied to. Those are two separate videos.
It's ultimately subjective, and "comp" isn't a protected term. Anyone can participate. But I played both roles in comp for years, so I'd like to think I have a good idea about the general level of play as it relates to public matches. The vast majority of good tournament players can loop, it's just not a good play when you factor in cross region ping and the level of killer you're generally playing against. This forum absolutely never takes into account that they're used to playing on <70ms ping. How bad do your hits look sometimes on survivor on normal ping? Add 100ms to that against a killer with 5000+ hours. Then tell me if greeding a pallet is a good idea. You learn pretty quickly to pre-drop in that setting.
Beyond that, DBDLeague has a fully functional 1v1 ladder that tons of players participate in. There are great chasers in public lobbies. I think a lot of the community just can't accept that there's a whole lot more that goes into DbD at the highest level than chase mechanics. It's a goofy hang-up the community has. If these comp players aren't good, killers should be jumping at the chance for free money. But strangely, they don't.
So you tell me that these players only play in the most boring and lazy way possible because of ping?
Fair.
I dont have the feeling that these players are that good in chase until I've seen it myself. Until now I haven't been proven wrong from my observations. Most of these players bark but don't bite. They yell at and over the smallest things that dont go their way, treat others very poorly and take themselves way too seriously.
Im very sorry, but I can't find any respect for some of them. Eternal specifically.

It still bothers me to this day too fellas. That Nerf lives in my head rent-free. It was so long ago I know it shouldn't even matter, but it does because they did her so so dirty with that nerf specifically. 😤 😤
It was a good nerf. She would have been really dumb without it.
BUT
She should have gotten an exchange. On top of generators, traps also get activated when the exit gate lever gets touched.

Only worse for the survivors that don’t grab a tape. Survivors actually have to do something about her power now. Versus before you could ignore her and her power. It was too easy.
I mained her. I stopped playing her.
Shes awful to play for me. No strategic thinking. Just mindless spamming.
She's not only worse for survivors. She worse for everyone except those that want huge value for little input.

Umm..no. Is an excellent perk and 90% of the people in this thread would agree.
I dont say it's weak.
The opposite. It's really strong.
As I said, it's too strong for the absolute lack of input from the killer.
Take other similar perks for example. Grim embrace. You have to hook all survivors once for it to even activate. And then it sometimes gives you even less time than deadlock.
I'm for perks that give you huge value for effort.
Devour hope for example gives huge value but needs a little luck, hookstages and the killer not camping.
Now look at deadlock. No input needed. Huge value gained.

They need to add communication and teach people how to play the game (looping, connecting tiles.) And even if that’s true, it’s unfair to the killer.
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon is right. Swf can't be nerfed. It's directly linked to the games playerbase. You can't punish people that want to play with their friends.
Therefore we sadly have to deal with this existing.
I personally absolutely would love to see the 4man death squad nerfed, because there is not really anything you can do when playing a weaker killer than Blight or Nurse. These people have the biggest power trip on the expense of almost all other parties in the game.

???
The killers won all but two of the games: Ghostface and Blight on Lerys.
If what the survivors are doing isn't skillful, why do the same two teams win every tournament? Are they pre-dropping and doing gens better than the other teams?
In Ayruns newest Video?
Wasn't there an infinite t3 Myers that got stomped?
Yes, they win tournaments by pre dropping and sift w.
Because they know they can win by that. They work on gens this efficient, that they can effort to not play around pallets at all or very limited.
The gens are definitely done before the lack of pallets starts to matter.
Dbd tournaments in general are really out of touch with the reality of the game because of this aspect. It's not about looping or chasing anymore. It's about who's the most efficient.
As I said, these guys are good at some things. Pre dropping, screaming and doing gens.
They can play the 1v4 very well. They will out speed the killer in terms of efficiency. That is skillful. But the skill in chase, the interactive and most visible part, is definitely not as present.
I see better chasers in my public lobbies. Sorry, not sorry. I know what I'm talking about.
-
Face palm...
-
Ähhhhh.....
Not completely agree.
I think ruin was overnerfed. One of the nerfs would have been enough. I think the perfect nerf would have been: 200% regression remains the same, deactivates once a survivor is dead.
The way it is now is ok for some killers but it's definitely too weak for a hex perk.
Pain res is already limited by rng. There are games in which you can't use the perk consistently. If you make it not work if a survivor is dead, it's very much possible that the Perk does nothing all game. All just because of bad rng...
That's not good design.
The perk is fine right now.
Pop should not be nerfed. It an intention to go away from the hook. If you want more campers, nerf pop. If you want more chases, buff or keep pop.
-
@VomitMommy said:
It already had 0 synergy with other slowdown perks, maybe except Corrupt.
Any nerf will make it useless. It's already not that strong perk.
Just get one far gen to 99% and keep him there -> deadlock is useless.
I dislike that the Perk functions without the killer doing anything. That's my only issue with it.
-
I think it needs a rework. Deadlock is just dumb and strong. It gives huge value for 0 effort. The killer could stand afk for the entire match and deadlock would still provide massive slowdown.
The counterplay to this perk is very hard and almost non-existent.
Genuinely one of the most awful killer perks right now.
I refuse to use it.

I like the Pig, on both sides. Overall she is in a fine spot. Most people think Pig is trash but often forget that she has the best basekit slowdown in the game. If they want to buff her stealth and her ambush, she has to receive a nerf in that regard.
Out of curiousity: If you mained The Pig, what do you think about Chucky? He is kinda like her, but on steroids. Minus the slowdown of course.
The slowdown is what makes her strong.
Chucky just has the stronger chase.
I like chucky. I just like Amanda way more.
Nobody comes close for me. If she wasn't in the game, I would have probably stopped playing dbd a long time ago.
-
My favourite killer.
Played her for over 2000h at this point.
She has a weaker chase with an ambush ability that can shine in certain situations, but feels completely useless in others.
Stealth is ok if certain addons are used.
Reverse beartraps are extremely strong and give the pig the ability to passively kill a survivor.
Alright killer. Upper c-tier if played really well.
Buffing ambush and stealth would be awesome with small tweaks to the lethality of the bear traps.
A graphical update is not needed. She looks stunning as she is right now.
*🐽*
As for voice lines, I would love for Shawnee Smith to give one line to Amanda. "Game over" if a survivor dies. That's it. Too many voice lines wouldn't fit her I feel. She's quiet and I like it.
A chase and lobby theme based on "hello zepp" would be awesome.
-
I found Friends till the end to be a rather lackluster perk on many killers after playing with it a number of times.
Survivors tend to do the smart thing. Run fast in the opposite side if the hooked survivor. On most of the maps and against most of the killers this does the trick, making the Perk give no value.
Exception maybe killers that can traverse the map very fast. So, I tried it on Sadako and there was the problem, that her chase is too weak to get the hit in time.
Maybe Wraith?
An ok peek, just not a great one. I understand that it's really strong against less careful players though.
-
I use it in my "are you good?" - build.
Together with huntress lullaby and undying.
It destroys survivors that use WoO a bit too much.
The hook thing I don't understand. Survivors are able to see the bubble pop up when a survivor gets hooked. They should know the position of the hooked survivor. In most of the matches I use this build, nobody goes second stage.
It is however a stronger perk against soloq and rather useless against a good swf.
Blindness in general is a weird status effect.

One of the co-ordinators said in another post that they are working on giving every character a badge+banner set like that of Chucky retroactively. And that we will probably get this sometime next year.
It doesn't matter if you see a P100 after the match. Badges and banners are not visible in the pre-game lobby, so dodging is not an issue.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3604890#Comment_3604890
We all know the Devs don't give us a reason, because they think it's fomo, while they continue to use fomo for cosmetics they can get money with.
I P100ed characters I like but now I regret it, because I just get tunneled, camped, targeted and insulted in chat.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3604583#Comment_3604583
I had a similar idea but just with charms you unlock. I used the P25/P50/P75/P100 icons for this. The charm is always the same one, but only unlocks on characters with the fitting Prestiges.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3604574#Comment_3604574
I think so too. I still hope for the void effect, just because it fits lore wise, and is usable with all killer powers. It is cool visually, is something players can use to show off, but it is not a full cosmetic.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/AW0CHXIEDBSJ/20231019235903-1.jpg

Its lot easier to pull Mori for Sadako now, why do you want old Sadako?
For me with Trapper with alot of buff/changes, I dont like how Trapper being now, I prefer his very old form, that I can live with carrying 1 traps.
- Less traps, but more powerful and easy to know where to set trap. I dont waste much time to set trap, and its harder for survivors to find and disarm traps.
- Things that used to hide traps.
- More grass
- More fog
- Realms were darker.
Because it is too easy to use her. What a few dedicated players where able to pull off with practice is now something that anyone can do while spamming a button against soloq.
I want the more interesting and skillful Sadako to return.
Even if that means, that she will be weaker for a majority of the playerbase that don't want to put in the time to learn her.

No. But you can predict the box location. It's always away from all players. If you can memorize all locations throughout the match, you can play around the box very effectively.
That's a really good pinhead-player your describing.

Memorizing is a thing?
I already count stacks. No need to visualize anything.

And those don't exist on public servers, no reasons not to send some random killer to Garden of Pain with 4 syringes and meta perks.

People are complaining about SWFs but how many teams are that strong? How many times you are going against strong teams like that. Ayrun and his team is probably one of the best teams in DbD and it's really hard to beat them but i don't think most of SWF teams are problematic or not unbeatable. You can win most of games without issues.
And the most important question: Should DbD be balanced around teams like that or not? What is your thoughts?
I've seen that video.
Ti be completely honest, I cringed the whole time. The killers didn't play bad, they just didn't stand a chance. They just can't keep up.
The worst thing for me is, that these groups all play in the least "skillful" way. Pre dropping pallets, because they know they can and shift w across the whole map.
They dont need to loop well and as a result they don't loop at all most of the time.
As for the question, these groups aren't as uncommon as some people claim. I go against similar groups maybe every 3 day.
They all play very much the same.
Is the rarity of these groups justifying the absolute power trip they have? Absolutely not in my opinion. Why is this still in the game? Because it literally can't get nerfed.
