With the right add ons and perks (and a decent player), she's difficult to deal with even if the survs do exactly what they should. Taking a tape early is a curse if she knows where you are when you do.
Before, the condemnation mechanic was an afterthought, almost a non-factor unless you played like a total dbag. Now it's too prevalent.
Without getting into the details, I'd like to see it dialed back (not all the way into non-relevance, but like halfway), and buffs to her freaking chase. Or Stealth. Remove her lullaby for one thing, regardless of anything else.
Using condemned doesn't mean you had to play awful.
I was pretty good at it without iri tape, slugging or tunneling.
-
Because she's designed that way. Since the rework, she's just awful.
Hopefully this will change in January-February.

I think it's a great idea.
They should also add badges and banners as other prestige rewards.
Lvl 30, 40, 50 = teachable perks as badges
Lvl 15, 20 = badge and banner of the character.
-
I hope that flashlight will be fixed. Had a nice group hiding me hostage yesterday...
Not that fun to be honest. I'm just glad that the killswitch was used faster this time around.
-
Where they doomed before the removal of stranger things? Maybe yes?
Dbds basekit has useful but relatively weak killer perks.
Adding one or two Gen related perks to the base perk pool would do wonders i feel.

I want a legacy badge for the characters I hit P3 on before the prestige rework. Others can only see the characters I grinded back then if I'm streaming, so it's a bit inconsequential imo. I want something that'll show up that other players can see.
Maybe a special badge for hitting prestige milestones on different characters.
Perhaps a badge for devotion levels, but I kinda hope they do something more interesting with devotions.
I dont think they will bring any legacy stuff back.
Other than that, i like the idea of including devotion. Having high devotion seems like an afterthought at this point.

That was meant sarcastic.. Didn't they say that this feature would be released in an early state without anything? Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what I remember..
Still, I don't see a problem here.. Those skins would've been bought anyway and the rest of this feature will come. I just wish that people would stop complaining and be happy that after more than 7 years we still get more and more options in this game..
But thats the point. We dont have many options.
They should have started with more options, so that players can actually get excited for it. Right now there are 4 options. 3 of them are locked behind a paywall. Most people just dont care about this new feature, which is sad.

There are actually a lot of problematic situations in end game. Smart survivors will go as far as possible to the gate because if they get unhooked, there is nothing the killer can do to get a down anymore. Basekit bt will secure the win.
I think basekit bt or otr should make the survivor lose collision with the killers. The aggressive usage of this mechanic and perk is honestly awful. It encourages the killer to tunnel AGAINST their wishes. If the killer wants to go for the unhooked person, they should be able to do so without being interrupted by the person that should be protected.
-
A lot of killers are in a good state.
Nurse, Blight, Myers, Freddy are the most problematic ones in my opinion

That’s the thing, I’m sure there are players who aren’t going to play scummy with her, but nobody waits around to find out. I think the stain she has is set too deep, she will never escape this cloud unless she gets a full (drone free) rework.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3603335#Comment_3603335
What’s the fun in “free wins”? That’s like me going into a lobby full of 100 hour survivors with alch ring blight. It would be a waste of my time. I don’t blame people for going next, she’s just as terrible, reworked.
Not that you would never to that, right?
FILTHY META BLIGHT?!?!?
How many baby Dwights have fallen to your evil schemes?

This thread is literally showing that players in this game don't like challenges and lazy to learn the counter.
I've had to say this, sorry.=)
Well, people like what they like. In the end of the day it's a game and people have the right to dislike elements of a game. I dislike Trickster. Do I say that there is no counter to him? No. I just say I dislike playing against him.
Not everything is in regards to gameplay as well. I dislike Tricksters visual and sound design as well. That's just my opinion though.

@Xyphus said:
Yeah.. Like no one would've bought the Tiffany or Back from the Dead skin without this feature..
I did. I didn't even know that the cosmetic was linked to the badge and banner.
I liked the back from the dead chucky.
That doesn't make the situation much better though. There should be some base options, some options that can be unlocked via gameplay and maybe even a banner/badge shop section.
Having a feature release with only two options each and locking them behind a paywall makes most people not care about it at all.
-
This is interesting. I play mostly pig. What's funny to me is, that most of the survivors still hold w in every situation possible. This makes ME fall asleep. Even if facing killers that they can actually loop and have a good chase against, some players still play in the most boring way imaginable. Pre drop + shift w.

I might actually pick the same three, maybe swap in Knight for Trickster. Mostly because I almost never face Tricksters anymore.
I hate SM, and for whatever reason, I detest facing the Wraith.
Nurse and Blight are just their own thing. I don't hate them as much as just kind of go into autopilot and wait for the next match when I see them. I don't really even care about the outcomes of those matches.
I actually enjoy playing against Knight. There is a lot more you can do as a survivor than many give him credit for. Sadly most of these things are based on bugs... But they still exist. I also like the visual and sound design of knight.
-
I'd like to know your reasoning. These killers are all considered pretty liked.

Same reason why every survivor in my lobbies is running adrenaline, dead hard, and windows.
There’s a meta on both sides. Don’t ignore it.
Thanks, now I don't have to say it.

Glad you brought up logic.
Telling your opposition in a game what you're doing is or isn't toxic is the opposite of logical, considering that killer mains are the ones doing all the tunneling and camping.
Good try though.
Now us VS them...
Also... What does it matter what side I'm playing. If I'm getting tunneled I mostly know why.
Your full filling an archetype, you know that?

Skull merchant, Trickster and maybe Wraith.

I hope Sadakos tape interaction and teleport gets reverted. They said that she would function closer to her original self again.

It's a win more perk. It gives you slowdown, when you need it the least. It should be the strongest in the beginning and weaker in late game. Kind of like a "dying light"...
The healing buff to the obsession is just the nail on the coffin.

He's new and people paid good money for him and are entitled to play him just like you can pick the survivor of your choice.
True.

It really is but this fourm wasn't posted for fighting
It is not. Toxic is when you post insults and slurs in end game chat.
Tunneling is a strategy. Not a nice one for the receiving end, but a strategy still.
Nobody wants to "fight". This is about logical arguments.

Well of course we shouldn't have infinites. That's why I suggested the other idea of taking horizontal momentum into account (creating the tile chain of a hill into a fast vault to a four lane.

And that is why we can't have nice things.
It's why DS got kneecapped to begin with - some people just can't seem to help themselves.
People will always find ways to abuse mechanics to harm the overall gameplay experience. DBD saldy has many of these exploitable aspects.

Imagine if killers (or at least as a power for one killer) could fast vault through a window with the same prerequisite of needing to have run for a split second. Like you need to be facing forward for enough time to do it and queue up for the vault like they do.
That would fundamentally break the chase gameplay if every killer could do that. As a power, it would lead to very boring situations (Legion).
Killers vault slower. That's fine. The problem was, that survivors could create near-infinite loops at certain structures if they drop and immediately vault.
-
Would like to see gameplay. Maybe play 10 games with fuming mixtape and 10 without. Play relatively similar and look at your results.

I'm one for being able to have endless opportunities to do stuff. It's what makes a good game. Take that away and you're left with a dull repetitive mess of a game that you'll not want to play any more of. As long as both sides are able to do the exact same thing when it comes to a loop, it's great.
That's the point. The killer was at a huge loss there.
-
@BubMickey07 said:

The problem with tricks is that it's pretty much the same almost every game
I get tunneled untill I die with no help whatsoever from my teammates or its a baby chucky that just got the game lmao so it's a really bad chucky that doesn't even get a hook or I get tunneled and camped the entire game
If you get tunneled, the game will be short (good/bad?) and you have a lot of time in chase against chucky.
If you don't receive help from your teammates in a tunneling situation, it's more on then than in Chucky's balancing.
You complained about his chasing power. That's literally all he has. Chucky has no map pressure. He has to do very well in chase.
Every killer can camp or tunnel you, that's not a Chucky problem.
-
Sadako might be the start.
#bringbackSadako
-
Bubba can catch up to sprint burst...
Chucky is fine.
What you feel is overexposure. Too much if the same gets boring. That's understandable.
You have two choices if you want to deal with this overexposure.
- take a break from dbd until Chucky-mania has settled down.
- use the extreme amounts of Chucky to learn tricks to outplay him. This can serve as a nice challenge and you can see how you improve against him over time.
The choice is yours.
-
@Thusly_Boned said:
Absolutely not. If the unhooked survivor uses their endurance (meant for them to get away) to obstruct the killer from going after the unhooker (you know, trying not to tunnel), they have ZERO basis to claim tunneling. None.
I always go after the unhooker as standard practice, but also as a practice, if a surv uses their post unhook protection to block me from trying not to tunnel (and it has to clearly be bodyblocking), I am going to remove them from the game, and I have no second thoughts about it.
I'm trying to go after someone else, so gtfo. If you refuse to run and in effect demand the killer's attention, don't act wronged when you get all of it.
Players who cry about being tunneled after doing this can mald into the void, because they're in the wrong.
Weaponizing anti-tunnel mechanics and perks is a very depressing thing to see for me personally. Something that should be healthy is used in a way that is extremely unhealthy.
Similar to Stbfl in camping situations.
-
As others pointed out, this is not tunneling. The survivor took the implemented mechanics to punish the killer and weaponized it. They wanted the attention and got what they looked for.
Just had a Mikaela bodyblock me with basekit bt and DS when I wanted to go for the unhooker as well. I waited out bt and downed her, then I picker her up and she missed ds. Then she dc'd.
This could all have been prevented if she just let me chase the other one.

It serves no purpose. It didn't when it released and it definitely does not now. It's just limiting a power that isn't that threatening to begin with. Maps have butchered the Hillbilly. Even with his best old addons restored, I strongly believe that he would not even make it to A tier.

If survivor are decent enough as you said, they should acknowledge the problem of this hypotetic 3 GENNING FEATURE that the devs have spontaneously implemented in their games, and thus should be able to fight it, otherwise they wouldn't be as good as you think , and in this case you should also be able to kill them and win.
3 gens are a think since dbd existed. The game is as @Reinami stated designed around the killer being stronger in end game. Less gens to defend = less traversing the map = less space that needs to be covered.
If survivors play it correct and destroy the 3 Gen before it becomes problematic for then, they played well. If they play themselves into the problematic 3 gen situation, they played badly and deserve to have to deal with an endgame advantage of the killer. Pushing through a 3 Gen isn't impossible it just becomes very hard without coordination, some killer perks and our dear lady with her drones of torment.

I can't talk for someone else but Pop and PR are in 90% of my games. Corrupt is also so high. And some information perks for last slot usually.
Now when i go against this sweaty builds most times, i can't play chill. Especially when most of games killers are tunnelling someone out for even more pressure.
And yes, getting end game as fast as you can is best scenario where someone survives. So if this will give chance to my teammates escape, i will do that.
But let's assume you play against the killer in my example. Would you do it?

Unless that next pallet or vault is only 4 seconds away. You don't know if you can swing at them and down them before they use it, or if you're just going to give them an extra speed boost to get even further away.
I don't think Styptcis should be removed for the record, I just think there should be some visual distinction between Styptics and Anti-Hemorrhagics.
I think endurance in general should have an indicator. With so many sources running around these days.
-
@HerInfernalMajesty said:
I struggle to use them effectively. What’s the best way of using the Styptic?
When the killer can't see you, do it. Then don't run into them but try to make it to a pallet or vault. Vault is better, because fast vaults are immune to grabs. Therefore the killer will be in a lose-lose situation. You have successfully used a 3rd health state.
